Ace Attorney Headcanons - Holiday Gift-Wrapping 🎄🎁🎄🎁

🎁 Phoenix likes to keep his holiday gift-wrapping simple - he buys a case of “grape juice” and wraps the bottles in the fanciest gift bags he can find at Dollar Tree. Done and done.

🎁 Miles does not enjoy gift-wrapping, or paper-folding of any kind, actually (due to the origami-crane incident), so he gets all his presents done at the charity gift-wrapping booth in the mall, and he always donates generously.

🎁 Franziska, on the other hand, adores gift-wrapping. She refuses to entrust her packages to the mall employees - “If you want something done perfectly, do it yourself,” she says. She takes pride in her color coordinations; the ribbons and bows must complement the paper exactly. If the department store runs out of her favorite tissue paper, Franzy will call the manager to complain.

🎁 Larry - OK, so this one time, years ago, when Larry was working for KB Security, he was assigned to guard a Tiffany store. Somehow, Larry managed to “acquire” a small stash of blue Tiffany gift bags without anyone noticing. Now, whenever he buys his latest girlfriend a present, he always puts it in a Tiffany bag to impress her.

🎁 Gumshoe likes cloth gift-wrap: reusable, eco-friendly, and most importantly, easy on the budget. He’ll bake a batch of homemade sugar cookies and wrap the cookie box in a big red and green tea towel, knotted at the top, Japanese-style.

🎁 Klavier has his own Gavinners wrapping paper: purple with silver G’s, of course. He won’t wrap gifts himself, though; he saves his hands for guitar-playing and doesn’t want to get any paper cuts. So he asks one of the junior clerks at the prosecutor’s office to help him.

🎁 Ema works long hours in the forensics lab, and she doesn’t really have time to shop for gifts, let alone wrap them. So she orders gifts from Amazon on her work computer, during her snack break, and she checks the “Gift Wrap” box on every single item - boom, boom, boom, done! “Work smarter, not harder,” says Ema as she goes back to munching her Snackoos.

🎁 Maya lovvvves gift-wrapping, and so does Pearl. It’s one of their favorite activities to do together for the holidays. Maya wraps all her presents in plain white paper and then she and Pearl have fun decorating the parcels with ribbons, stickers, stamps, and markers.

🎁 Trucy is a bit of a prankster when it comes to gift-wrapping. The first Christmas that Apollo was at the Agency, Trucy did the whole “box inside a box inside a box” thing for Apollo’s gift. So poor Polly had to spend like 15 minutes unwrapping a refrigerator-sized cardboard box with about seven or eight more boxes nested inside, weighted down with rocks and bricks, while Trucy looked on with devilish glee. Finally, Polly opened the last box, and inside it was … an expired coupon for Eldoon’s. Naturally, he was furious! But before he could say anything, Trucy whipped out the Magic Panties (TM) and revealed his actual gift - TA-DA! (It was a Blu-ray box set of his favorite TV show, that Trucy had saved up her allowance to buy for him!) so Apollo couldn’t really stay mad at her after that.

I saw this tweet last night and want to know your opinion. I don't agree with kb vanilla part but I think interestingly enough alangaipa becoming more horny and maybe even slightly toxic makes sense. They have a lot of issues going on and now I'm craving a toxic alangaipa fic where they start sleeping together out of pity and to make jimwen jealous (sorry I have issues 🤧)

So, the question is: Which FK pair has the most vanilla sex and which pair has the kinkiest? Most vanilla is easy. It’s SandRay and it’s not even close. Ray likes to be spoiled, to be taken care of. He likes for Sand to take his time. He likes intimate eye contact and comfortable beds and sees no reason to switch things up when he's already having the best orgasms of his life. They’re indulging in sweet missionary sex every night and they are both 100% satisfied with that arrangement. Ray does, however, continue to suggest threesomes every time he gets jealous but if Sand were ever to actually take him up on it, he’d be sleeping on the couch for a week.

Kinkiest is harder—mostly because I feel like we’re working with an incomplete data set for both AlanGaipa and KantBison—but although I think the BDSM will make a comeback in THK, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the kinkiest pair is AkkAye.

Aye is Akk’s first everything and Akk is too curious for his own good. He is also a perfectionist and that, my friends, is a very dangerous combination. I guarantee that he has done extensive research on every kink and sex position imaginable and has them all compiled neatly on a spreadsheet that he and Aye are systematically making their way through. Aye is endlessly annoyed by this because he is starting to suspect that Akk is getting more aroused by the prospect of new data than he is about the actual sex but he doesn't complain because it makes Akk happy. We also know that Aye canonically likes it when Akk is mean to him and because of that, I don't think BDSM is outside the realm of possibility for them either. 

So, just to rank them all, here is my final answer from most vanilla to kinkiest: SandRay→AlanGaipa→KantBison→AkkAyan

see now one thing i truly don't get with somsoms is how terribly incapable of rooting for their own faves they are. does that make sense? like, when First plays those more grayish characters (ex, Akk & Kant) everyone has those swings between “omg my pookie” and “omg ew why would he do that” and it's just so so funny to me. same with Khaotung and what happened for ex with Ray. idonno why our fandom can't just lock in and root for the “bad guys” too.

but i may be biased because i really need fkt to play the biggest villains in the whole universe lol would LOVE to have the fandom where we all can just collectively go “yea my man killed that guy but yk what? HE DESERVED IT.” instead of “my man killed and now he ain't my man anymore”

From what I can glean (and of course I may be wrong here), most FK fans have no issue with how Kant are being portrayed. It’s the casual viewers of FK/people who generally watch lots of Thai BL but don’t specifically follow FK per se that either had negative take on Kant (with some crossing the lines and starting talking nonsense on First itself) or just skipped KantBison scenes altogether because they perceived it as boring in the 1st half of the series (and then sounded so surprised that Kant was being blackmailed because of his brother. Some didn’t even know he had a younger brother 😑)

However, what I am realising with FK fans, and this is especially with inter-fans are the preconceived ideas they have of the series and then went absolutely bonkers/disappointed when Kant (or Bison) didn’t turn out to be how they thought it should be (it’s already happening with Cat For Cash). Some inter-fans said that it was a missed opportunity to make Kant “more interesting” and he became “boring” after getting together with Bison? (Very puzzled with this). So, in fact, we actually have inter-fans wanting Kant to be even an even greyer character than what he currently is?

Interestingly, I have never seen Thai fans of FK saying anything negative about the series or how they portray KB (maybe I’m not following as many Thai fans?). But I do follow Thai fans that have been with them since at least 2022 or before!). And if these Thai fans put up highlights from Thai reactors from YT - all of these Thai reactors are singing praises on KB acting/scenes.

However, if you look at inter-fans, you will see a fraction of them being angry about KB scenes where these are perceived as not being as meaningful as SF’s. Some are critical with Jojo/screenwriting team, labelling them as “lazy” that KB had to improvise their scenes, stating the scenes are only saved purely from FK acting. Now, I disagree with the statement. That’s like spitting on the face of the whole production team/lighting/cinematographer/costume/props department etc when they worked just as tirelessly.

Or how, it was “robbery” because THK was not as intense/more dramatic as it could have been - inter-fans got upset especially following the recent interview by Jojo with a Brazillian podcaster/YT channel where he confirmed he altered the script to be lighter in tone for 2 reasons - 1) he didn’t want an intense drama after just filming OF 2) when they were about to shoot the pilot trailer, the mass shooting in the shopping mall at Bangkok just happened and the series almost got canned by GMMTV. I also think personally, he wanted to challenge himself because he mentioned (during the interview), Thai series usually don’t mix comedy with action/drama together (it’s either one or another) - one of the reason why Khaotung apparently find it difficult to find the right balance as Bison when he first started shooting THK.

That’s another thing about these inter-fans, I am bemused when these same inter-fans insisted THK was made for international audience and not Thai/local audiences. I put up a post recently where P’Aof made a pointed remark stating Thai directors/production houses make BL/GL with Thai audience in mind. International fans are just bonuses for them.

Sure, THK is probably more “accessible” to inter-fans because Jojo references a lot of famous/classic rom-com from the late 90s to early 2000s. But his target is first and foremost Thai audience and that’s why he tailored it to the current political climate in Thailand at that time (not to mention he likely won’t be able to produce the series otherwise) plus “gentle” introduction to non-vanilla sexual practices to the largely still conservative Thai audiences (yes, I’m talking about BDSM, where again I see inter-fans (and not Thai!) complaining there were only that 1-2 scenes in Ep 3. Since I already explained why I wasn’t surprised in a different asked, I’m not going to say it here).

And please do not compare THK BDSM to KinnPorsche. KinnPorsche is a different ball game together. That show was aired on IQIYI exclusively with the budget largely covered by one of the main actor who is super rich, while THK is still being aired on YT/GMM25 (their local channel that is targeted to be more family oriented).

@firstkanaphans and @doublel27 also answered a recent asked about the discordant on why audiences may be so hypercritical to Kant/Ray as opposed to actual “bad people” like our hitmen. I think it was a brilliant answer.

Regardless, It will be interesting to see how Dr Karn is going to be perceived by audiences (local and internationally). I get the feeling it will again be mixed results. But one thing I will say about FK - they have always challenged themselves with the roles they take. Plus tirelessly working on perfecting their craft. For that, I will always adore them.

Crippled Canary & the Carrion Crow

A gift for @bitterkarmaa / @sinistershepherd for their Karma's Bitter SAMS au! I had an idea for Rays and KC so i wrote this up rq, hope you enjoy!

Rays was never one to question his life choices which was a funny thing really, when one took into account his life prior to being here. But then that old life had been all he knew, and had accepted as just being the way it was no matter how cruelly he was treated.

Never occured to Rays that in another world entirely he'd be loved and cared for, looked after and not tormented or thrown about like a ragdoll or a plaything, a toy like that owned by a careless child.

It was a life beyond his imagination, a concept that seemed so alien and so impossible that even whe he found himself stepping onto floors made of soft blue instead of hard golden marble he thought he was dreaming or perhaps he had died and this was the afterlife.

He hadn't believed heaven to be real, but in that fleeting moment he had.

But Rays was going off track here with his thoughts.

Because right now he was standing frozen to the spot in the middle of the lost and found area that lay below the theatre of the pizzaplex he now called home, the sounds of glitching vocalisers and heavy thuds of footsteps ringing loudly in his audio receptors just beyond the doorway.

The scarred yellow animatronic had absolutely no clue what it was. A monster of somekind? He had seen plenty of those. But whatever this was, was unlike anything he had heard before and that scared him even more. And what made it worse was the fact it sounded like there was multiple of them.

His damaged rays twitched in an almost attempt to pull in, but Rays grabbed hold of them to prevent them doing so. Not only did it hurt but he was well aware of the noise they would make and he did not want to draw whatever was outside in here.

And that is where his current questioning of life came in. It was very early morning. Stupidly early really. While Ray's internal clock was all but shot, he had memorised the time anyway so he knew it to be around four in the morning.

He had woken up around three, an hour prior and was unable to go back to sleep. He had considered finding Eclipse and staying with him, but he had bothered him enough as of late and he especially didn't want to disturb him this time knowing full well the dark orange and black animatronic would be asleep this time.

So Rays decided to go and visit the lost and found area. Alone.

It was not the first time. In fact he had memorised the route after Eclipse took him down there a number of times and so he started going by himself. It was scary at first for sure but the route and area had grown familiar now so he felt little fear going down by himself.

Until now that is.

The sounds outside continued, but they started to fade a little as whatever it, they were moved further away. Rays released a skirt he had been holding back into the pile and slowly stood up his mind racing with options on what to do, and it took all his willpower to not simply panic and run as fast as he could back up to the theatre. He had no idea how fast the thing was afterall.

So he waited, and stood very still listening. He was good at that. A learned skill picked up when his old master was in a sour mood. The sounds of metal creaking and glitched vocals combined with the heavy thud thud thud of footsteps were still present but growing more distant.

Finding a spark of courage upon seeing a potential escape slot, Rays very tentatively moved and crept over to the doorway leading out. The door was left partly open still and thankfully made no noise as Rays carefully pushed it open a little more to peek outside.

There was no sign of anything, no monsterous amalgamation, no scary eyes in the dark. He could see not too far away the endo skeletons that hung from their racks limp and unmoving. Rays shuddered at the sight of them. They always unnerved him.

But it seemed he had his timeslot, so he swiftly but silently as he could slipped out of the room, not daring to close the door all the way as to not risk the click of it shutting draw any attention to his location. Instead Rays left it pushed just to, before briskly moving across the room and toward the stairs.

But it only took the smallest movement in the corner of Rays eye accompanied by a loud screech of metal on metal for any and all self control to evaporate from Rays body altogether as the last thread of his nerves finally snapped. He bolted.

This proved to be a mistake as whatever was behind him let out a garbled noise of static and a high pitch shriek that made Ray's head hurt enough to almost make him stop. But he pushed through the pain and continued his desperate dash up the stairs.

However the yellow animatronic had only made it up one flight, before turning and instantly colliding with something big. Rays let out a small yelp and he fell back clutching his face and head with small whine, dazed and sore as the impact flared up old scars.

But he was not given much time to process as whatever he ran into suddenly moved and instantly Rays was back on the adrenaline fueled panic, scrambling back as far as he could before his back hit the wall.

Realising he was trapped, Rays could only stare in horror as the tall being turned toward him, a pair of eerie red eyes staring down at him. For a brief fleeting moment Rays thought that it was Moon, as he noticed a familiar pattern of stars on blue fabric that the being appeared to be clothed in.

Hope flared and Rays almost called out in relief. But it faded as quickly as it came as Rays realised just how off this 'Moon' looked. For one it was far too tall, with a grin that was way too sharp for comfort.

Now Moon had sharp teeth sure, in fact they all did it was a built in feature for all their models to be able to switch between sharp and blunt teeth, but only a few chose to keep them in constant. Bloodmoon and Eclipse were the prime examples.

But this… thing whatever it was did not look normal. The teeth were jagged and crooked, the smile stretched too wide even for a robot. Its arms that hung loosely by its sides were long and gangly with claws at the end of its equally long fingers.

One of its pant legs was ripped too, exposing a hocked leg beneath, and the robotic look of it was the only confirmation Rays got that this was indeed another robot. Or at least it looked like one. For all Rays knew, it could be an eldritch being. And he had seen plenty of those.

But this was nothing like what Rays had seen before, a creature that looked so familiar and yet so horrifyingly different. And he had seen many horrors. Many that on any other day he would say were even scarier than this, but right now this truly was the most terrifying thing Rays had seen in a long time.

The way it looked, and the way it stood… It was like looking at a walking corpse. A zombie.

Staring up at it with full blown eyes, Rays sat frozen on the spot unable to look away. The thing, undead robot, whatever it was, tilted it's head with a small click as it regarded the trembling yellow animatronic before it.

Then it moved, a slight shudder running through its frame as it took a step closer to Rays who like a deer in the headlights remained almost completely still, a faint tremor running through his entire body being the only movement he made.

The creature extended a clawed hand toward him, and Rays instinctively flinched and shut his eyes tightly, awaiting the all too familiar feeling of claws running across his face, digging fresh grooves and reopening the old ones.

But there was no pain. Instead what followed was a surreal but still - albeit more new - familiar feeling of something very gently running across the top of his head, caressing his battered rays. Rays' risked opening a single eye, and then the other because he couldn't really see well with just one.

The moon lookalike had kneeled down with an arm extended and it was… petting him? Rays still terrified looked up at its face, and saw that it looked almost… confused? Unsure? It was hard to tell given the low lighting and the soft glow of the red eyes partially obscuring its features but…

It wasn't hurting him. It was being gentle. Safe? Was it a friend?

Rays shuddered as the nerves eased slightly and he leaned into the gentle touch. He was still scared, and very confused but. It wasn't trying to hurt him. Maybe it was friendly afterall. Eclipse certainly looked scary at times, a lot of the time actually but he was still kind to him, showed him patience. The way this robot petted him was a lot like how Eclipse would too.

The sounds of metal screeching and loud footsteps snapped Rays out of his thoughts and his panic flared up in full once again. He gasped and flinched, the tall robot before him also flinching but not making a sound, other than a sharp snap as its head turned quickly in a full 180 degrees.

The creature released a low gutteral growl and Rays immedietely shrank back, unable to hold back a terrified whimper. The eldritch looking robot seemed to pause, and it turned around to regard Rays for a moment before it's voicebox released an odd noise, a weird warbled chirrup of some kind and it extended both its hands toward him.

Still locked into a state of panic, Rays could only stare helplessly as he found himself scooped up into the large pair of arms and tucked against a large cold chest. Then it moved and Rays experienced the very jarring sensation of being carried, oh wait he was being carried.

Had… had anyone actually carried him before?

A whirlwind of emotion and conflictions swam within Rays, his mind growing exhausted from the panic. But memories from a time long long ago were quickly beginning to surface, having been buried for well over a century.

A distant one, one from perhaps his earliest days of existence came to the front of his addled mind. A young ai stumbling onto the ground, having just been freshly made and still figuring how how to use the body it had been given.

Shaking from the cold marble ground, with so many limbs and digits to control, so much to process. The light around them was so bright it burned their new eyes. They had never seen light before and it hurt. Everyhing had been too much, and so they curled up into a shivering ball wanting it all to stop.

And then. They were lifted from the cold hard ground, a rough but gentle hand running across their head and soft words they could not yet understand but latched onto anyways soothing their overstimulated mind, easing the burden of thought. A darkened chest provided an escape from the burning light, and the warmth driving away the chill that had gripped their new form.

Safe. it.. they… he.. she… was safe.

Rays felt like they were floating, their head filled with soft cotton and pillows that insulated his mind and her body surrounded by warmth. He had never felt so at peace before. He wanted this to last forever.

But the call of the waking land tugged at the edge of his mind, drawing him out from the soft paradise he was in. He let out a soft whine, but a hand on his head gave a small gentle rub followed by a small mumble from someone who sounded like they were still mostly asleep.

Rays cracked open his eyes, finding his face to be resting against a dark coloured side. A glance up confirmed it to be Eclipse who was indeed still asleep, his arm wrapped securely around Rays and holding him close.

Rays blinked, his memory foggy from sleepiness. Where…? Wasn't he in the theatre? Below it? Or was it all a dream? He recalled briefly glowing red eyes, and large gangly claws. But funny enough the memory did not spark any fear. He couldn't recall the face of whoever or whatever it was.

Maybe his sleep addled mind was showing him a weird amalgamation of Bloodmoon and Moon. Certainly bore a striking resemblance to at least one of the two.

Well it didn't matter. Rays was still tired and the warmth and reassurance of not being alone, being safe and secure was lulling him back to sleep. He did not fight it, and instead allowed himself to slip back into the land of soft pillows.

Unseen by the now peacefully sleeping yellow robot and Eclipse who held him secure, a large form slipped quietly out of the room, closing the door with a soft click.

If you're someone who's interested in collecting physical media, especially DVDs and blu-rays, I cannot overstate how good an investment a blu-ray drive for your computer is.

There are copious free resources that will allow you to digitize your collection for additional preservation and convenience... and I've placed them beneath this break!

MakeMKV: https://www.makemkv.com/

MakeMKV is the program I use for backing up blu-rays and DVD. It’s “free while in beta”, and as far as I can tell it’s going to continue to be in beta forever. You just need to register the program with the beta code, which can be found here: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1053. If your registration ever expires, you can just go to that post and they’ll have it updated with a new one.

“MKV” is “Matroska Video”, which is a container format (named after the Russian nesting doll) that collects the video track, audio track(s), and subtitle track(s) all into one file, which is super convenient for anime, because that means you don’t need to worry about making separate files for different combinations of dubs and subs. My understanding is that this is, essentially, a lossless video copy, and I’ve done comparisons comparing screenshots taken from video playing off the disc and from the .mkv, and I haven’t been able to notice a difference. As for playing .mkv files…

VLC is my media player of choice for watching back the stuff I back up. I’m not 100% sure if you need to download the CCCP for this- my backups play fine on my tablet just using the VLC app, and I recently found out they even work off a USB stick plugged into a Samsung Smart TV- but it doesn’t hurt to have.

MakeMKV can also be directly integrated with VLC Media Player to play blu-rays right from the drive, which is tremendously valuable if you're not interest in/don't have the hard drive space for digitization. I think I’ve encountered maybe one thing that couldn’t be played off the disc with this solution, and that was fixed in a subsequent update to MakeMKV. Different companies author discs differently, and I like to keep my stuff organized the same way, which is where this tool comes in. I won’t go into too much detail on this here, but if you ever need to split one large file into smaller files (for example, a disc has 9 episodes of a show to a single title/file, and you want to split them into individual episodes), edit or remove chapter information, or rename audio/subtitle tracks, this is the tool to do it. There's a lot to this, so I would suggest reading the official documentation, but I could also whip up a guide if people are interested.

The video encoder for shrinking those backups down to size- my favorite example was getting all 49 episodes of G Gundam down from almost 300gb off-the-discs to just under 50gb. This is also going to be heavily dependent on how powerful your computer is, because encoding takes up a lot of resources. On my computer, which is by no means top-of-the-line, I’d say on average it takes about 50 minutes to encode a 24 minute episode of anime, and that increases exponentially the longer the source material is.

There's a lot of information there, too, but it also provides generic settings to plug in to HandBrake if you don't care to manually adjust the settings for each project you're doing.

And that’s everything I use for my process! A lot of this was trial and error with other programs that cost money, performed worse, and were generally aggravating to use. It's a bit of elbow grease, but the reward is that once something is digitized, you have it forever, exactly the way you want it.

Metodológia újratöltve

2018 decemberében le lett töltve kb 1300 vélhetően magyar vonatkozású még nem deaktivált blog tartalma.

Ehhez lett hozzáadva 2022 március elején kb. 3300 frissen letölttött, vélhetően magyar vonatkozású, még nem deaktivált blog összes (szöveges) tartalma.

Ebből az adatsorból kinyert kb. 12000 magyar blog teljes tartalmát megint letöltöttem újra 2023 november végén.

Az egész import kb. két hónapig tartott, mert még mindig lusta voltam optimalizálni az adatbázisba betöltő algoritmust (A letöltés az amúgy egy nap alatt megvolt). Az adatbázis mérete kb. megduplázódott a 2022-es adatokhoz képest, ez egyrészt a plusz másfél évnyi shitposzting miatt volt, de a sokkal de sokkal nagyobb bloghalmaz ami alapján az adatok generálódtak is természetesen hozzájárult ehhez. Még akkor is, ha ezek a blogok főleg tinitumblik!

A letöltött adat be lett töltve egy adatbázisba, többek között az alábbi információval:

- A reblog-láncban szereplő összes tartalom, beleértve hogy ki csinálta (mivel a deaktiváláskor nem tűnsz el a mások reblogjaiből itt jócskán felbukkanhatnak deaktivált blogokból származó tartalmak is)

- Milyen nyelven íródott a tartalom (itt a Google CLD2 nyelvfelismerője lett alkalmazva)

- Ki honnan reblogolta a tartalmat

A blog neve mindig a blog aktuális nevéből lett lementve, de nevet gyakran változtató blogok esetén gyakran ki lehetett nyerni az adathalomból a névváltoztatást, ez a tény is rögzítve lett (pl. akurvaanyadatbutter -> akurvaanyadatbuttersofficial), a statisztika az összevont adatok alapján készült.

A deaktivált és aztán újra regisztrált blogokat összekötni nem mindig lehetett automatikusan (pl. pajorimre -> pajjorimre), ezek jórésze kézzel össze lett kötve, már ahol ismertem az illetőt, vagy ha egyéb információ alapján meg lehetett tenni az összeköttetést, de biztos vagyok benne hogy a tinitumbli tele van duplikátumokkal.

Az összes statisztikában magyar blog alatt az alábbit értünk:

A letöltött adathalmazban ugyanazon blognév alatt legalább 10 magyar nyelvű szöveges üzenetet készített, és az összes szöveges tartalmának legalább 10%-a magyar nyelven íródott

A fenti információk alapján 2023 november végén

16.945 magyar blog volt (2022-ben ez a szám 12.266 volt)

ezek a blogok összességében 26.117 különböző blog nevet használtak (16.421 volt a régi adat)

5.417.241.183 bájtnyi szöveges magyar tartalom generálódott ezeken a blogokon

összesen 7.288.951.896 bájtnyi szöveges tartalom ment keresztül ezeken a blogokon

Az egész adatbázis tömörítve még mindig ráfér kiírva egy Blu-Ray lemezre.

So this WIP is untitled, and almost done, but I'm back on my second-person weird god voice chaos. Below the cut for a tiny preview! It's for the prompt Overgrown. And KB wanted to read Ennis of Rorikstead for this one when I asked for more of a challenge on a couple prompts. Absolutely fresh out the braincells so, yes. But. FUN. Guess which god-voice it's in!

You have stood tall in fields rife with crops to harvest all your life, and I have kept close by, though you cannot see me. You call yourself Ennis of Rorikstead, but I have always carried your true name in my hands—a knotted rope of a thing, complicated in its simplicity, the sound of it music to the soil beneath your feet. You do not know it like I do. Each seedling that sprouts and reaches toward the sun holds the syllables; each harvest becomes another title. You are, however, aware of a certain darkness. The kind that creeps in shadows sent flying from the setting sun, rays hidden behind mountains and buildings. This is the same shade which has pulled my hands from yours, and continues to keep us separate, hiding under the guise of answered prayers. And yes, things will grow in soil devoid of my touch—but you have long suspected I had been here, once, and was forced away. You do not voice your concerns. Hey, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your THK and FK posts over the past few months - you're one of my fave accounts, not only for the quality of your giffing but also your spot-on takes, love for the boys and appreciation of their acting. And an extra special thank you for humoring me the other week when I was feeling down - your reply really cheered me up no end, and it was really kind of you to bump it to the front of the queue in response to my being maudlin! i say this often, but i only started giffing to humor myself and because no one giffed pretty princess ray coming down the stairs in his pretty robe in only friends, so i had to take matters into my own hands. i didn't expect people to interact as much as they do now, but i'm glad that i've managed a little spot as one of your favorite accounts even if i do have a tendency to ramble endlessly when i really didn't need to.

it was very fun to humor you that one time, though, and i'm glad i've managed to make you feel better. i will take every chance i get to talk about firstkhao and their acting and their moments bc it really is one of my favorite things to do, even if my thoughts are usually scattered around and difficult to make sense.
