What do you think the next "Owl House" is going to be? And by that, I mean an animated kid's show that tells interesting and mature stories, that pushes the boundaries of representation. Because I'm not ready for the Owl House to end, and I don't know how long it will be until we get another show like it. And that's sort've eating at me.

Trina wasn’t the worst character in victorious, heres why

Lmfao this picture i just had to. Anywayss it’s been so long since I’ve posted but lately i had a but of a realization. Growing up I always saw Trina Vega as this annoying character who doesn’t care about anyone but herself. I always saw her as annoying and rude, but since putting the pieces together I realized the true annoying one is her sister Tori. Sure, Trina is portrayed that way, but what happened off screen?

So let’s start at the beginning: pilot. We’ve all seen the pilot episode (i assume) where Trina has to perform at the school. She starts the episode practicing and singing badly. (Maybe she wasn’t actually singing badly, it’s all in Toris perspective 🤔. )Anyways fast forward and Trinas tongue is swolen. She tried a gargle that’s supposed to help with singing, but turns out she’s allergic.

Then tori of course takes trina’s place and sings for her. But did tori even need to do this? Was it necessary? Couldn’t they just have no one sing at all? If I were Trina, I’d be even more angry if someone took my place, I’d just rather no one at all. From the way it’s portrayed, all seems good and well, but in Trina’s perspective, i’d be pissed off if i were her. Maybe there’s an untold story.

Let’s also take another example from the episode “The Birthweek song”. Trina seemed super annoying and ungrateful in this episode, but I’m here to defend her.

First of all, I think the reason Trina has a birthweek in the first place isn’t because she’s greedy. I believe it’s because of the lack of attention from others with all the attention being put on Tori. Hold onto that thought.

So in the episode it’s Trinas Birthweek. Tori thought of the so called perfect gift for Trina. After all the attention is on Tori and Trina is seen to be the annoying one, what foes Tori do? Sing for her. Tori decides to write a song for Trina, which is a sweet gesture, but it really picks at a sensitive issue for Trina (at least through my eyes) because Tori got into Hollywood arts and stole her show through music. Plus everyone hates Trina and her vocals, so Tori is making things worse by singing. In my opinion she had every right to say “where’s my present?” Because she’s tainted with jealousy. And rightfully so! Granted, it would still be petty of Trina to act this way, however there’s at least a reason behind it. Anyways this is just food for thought. Not willing to die on this hill but i’ve had a few theories for a while. What are your thoughts?
