Headcanon - For better or for worse, Henry looks way more like his mom than his dad. It would have been easy to say the kid wasn’t George’s if asked because of how little he is like him physically. She loves him regardless but Marie hates that he doesn't more like his dad, feeling as if the world wanted her to forget him when she didn’t want to.

Henry Barrow is an Alice Cooper kind of guy. This annoys the shit out of Marie because well- you heard her taste in music.

He spends hours recreating makeup looks of his, sometimes wearing them under the mask when he has no time to take it off.

He really likes Constrictor, specifically The World Needs Guts. If he was around for Dragontown he’d eat up Fantasy Man as well.

He’s been to every show of his that he possibly could. I feel like concerts and record collecting are his only real hobbies. It’s also where he’s made all of the few friends he has.

Henry Barrow Headcanons

Watched a playthrough of Killer Frequency today, and my goofy brain thought how Henry would be like in a relationship with you. Now, I know that the guy never speaks and we barely know anything about him, but to be honest, that has never stopped anyone! So, I hope you enjoy my HC of our secretive silent slasher :))))

General:

He's definitely a real sweetheart and would definitely go out of his way to make you happy, though you'd probably have to make sure he doesn't endanger himself in the process

Will do anything to make you happy, and I mean that quite literally

You could do no wrong in his eyes

Rationalizes, justifies, and defends anything you do, even if your actions hurt him

If you manage to build a strong enough relationship, he would totally betray his mother if her desires conflict with yours

Obviously, he's a man of few words, only talking when it is necessary

Tends to whistle out of habit (because I believe that Marie had to have trained him into the role as The Whistling Man)

Likes taking you with him on strolls through Gallows Creek, don't ask me why it's just a feeling

Doesn't know where (or how) to take you out to dinner, so he just takes you to Ponty's Pizza because he heard, through The Scream, that it had amazing pizza "to die for"

If you're on a date, he'll take you out to places he was taught to be familiar with, such as the Maize Maze and Whistling Point, since all he ever learned was related to avenging his late father

Generally submissive and will attempt to mold himself into the perfect boyfriend for you

However, don't think he's entirely docile

Unless specifically stated to not do so, he will eliminate anyone who interferes with his relationship with you

Basically, he'll do whatever you say, but anything outside of that is free reign for him to do whatever he pleases

During Murder Spree:

Once it begins, he'd try to protect you from his mother's plan by scaring you into leaving Gallows Creek

If there was anyone that bothered you or tried to take you from him, they're most certainly going to die that night, Marie's plan be damned

Will tune into The Scream if you happen to be a caller, to hear your voice and also to know your current status

His feelings will be hurt if you help Forrest and Peggy, but he knows that you're just scared and confused

(Plus, he plans on dealing with his wounded emotions in a very healthy, mature, and normal way by murdering the two)

Should you be closely associated with a target, he will knock you out and hide you somewhere safe until he's able to convince his mother to spare you

You definitely serve as a motivation for him to not get caught by the police

it's been a while since i tried looking, but i did hear that something like this happens last year and over time started to think, "was it a fluke?" bc no one posted footage or caps of it then, and i aimed for a completionist run in my first playthrough. turns out it's real! and definitely shines a new light on a character that, for most other types of playthroughs, will not give this much emotion! Erm some HCs I have

Henry ones only I'll add dif characters later teehee

• Henry actually looks more like Marie than George, but Marie constantly tells him he looks like George (ooh she's in denial).

• Despite Marie claiming she isn't a fan of dogs, Henry actually quite likes them and grew up playing with a stray one in a field.

• He somewhat doesn't show much emotion with his face (credits to void-speaks!! ) Unless he is laughing or being silly like when he optionally makes a motion to Forrest.

• He tends to walk into rooms and just stand there staring and completely zones out. (I do this a lot).

• He puts brushing & washing his hair before anything else.

• He's pretty clingy to his mother. (Wow hes so relatable for this one).

• Despite the fact he is 18 & Marie owns a car, she refuses to let him drive as she knows he will intentionally crash into people and cause trouble.

• He can cook but Marie never lets him without supervision as he can't be trusted around fire.

A ton of these probably dont make sense but whatever who cares am I right I'm just being a silly lil guy as I do bc that's what I am I'm just a silly lil guy

Whistling Man / Henry Barrow Headcanons

Has a strong sense of justice when it comes to his loved ones

Has an issue with authority

Troubled student due to getting into fights when he was younger and homeschooled after many incidents

Often listens to the radio

Has a fear of love

It takes a while for him to allow himself to love since he doesn’t want anything bad happening to them and he doesn’t want to repeat the cycle of disaster happening

His love language would be giving gifts / receiving gifts

But once he lets himself fall in love, he loves hard

Oh yeah the headcanon I had that I forgot was a headcanon was that Henry is really unexpressive with his face when he doesn't wear his mask, so instead he expresses himself with body language

Headcanon - Carrie works at the Little Shop of Flowers. She was told she absolutely didn’t have to but insisted that she help with the floral arrangements for each of the victims of the Whistling Night.

Insane headcanon/theory: Edward Marshall Mooney was related to both Maurice and George in some way.

(Really fricking long under the cut)

Perhaps George’s mom slept around a lot as a teen, and ended up having a one night stand with young Mooney. Then sometime after, she found out she was pregnant, and assumed it was from the last boy she slept with, George’s supposed dad. They got married via shotgun wedding, George was born, and Mooney, the real father, was none the wiser.

Maybe Mooney’s parents, when he was still living with them, adopted an antisocial boy with a lot of attitude; Maurice Russel. Maurice saw Mooney as an older brother, even after Mooney moved out of home, they kept in touch. Sometime after that, Mooney was accused of theft, and Maurice refused to tell that Mooney was looking after him that night, so Mooney was fined a lot of money, and took a job that made him come into constant contact with lead or a similar substance.

I headcanon that Mooney began killing because of something out of his control, in this example, lead poisoning.

That would explain why Maurice muttered ‘Mooney… There’s no way he’s…’ He felt guilty for not standing up for Mooney, feeling like if he had told the truth then Mooney wouldn’t have gone mad and died.

Mooney being George’s dad would make Henry’s story even more interesting, as it gives the possibility for the ever-so-fun blood curse plotline. Imagine a blood curse that curses the eldest son of every generation to cause someone’s death and die prematurely. Mooney, of course killed people and jumped off Whistling Point (I estimate he was in his late thirties to early forties when he died). George unintentionally caused Marie’s death because she never got over him, and of course he died at 18.

And lastly Henry, the little man himself. As much as I want it to be otherwise, he would probably be sentenced to death for all the attempted murder he did (in the perfect ending at least). So he caused his own death and the metaphorical ‘death’ of the Campbell-Barrow/Mooney bloodline.
