Road trips = Story time 🎧 Audiobooks are such a saving grace for me in the car - especially on long trips. Reading physical books makes me nauseous in the car and it’s hard for me to tear myself away from my books on long drives. My family has a cottage 3 hours north of where we live and we drive up there fairly often so me and Jesse have started listening to audiobooks together on our drives. The past few months we’ve been working on The Name of the Wind. I’ve listened to it multiple times and it’s one of my favourite books ever, but it’s his first time through. Do you listen to audiobooks in the car or are you one of the blessed who can read in the car without getting nauseous? Drop your favourite audiobook in the comments! ⬇️ #audiobooks #audible #kingkillerchronicle #bookstagram #roadtrip #cottage #bookish (at Bookstagram) https://www.instagram.com/p/CYwV3hqDTpc/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Read book one. Then re-read it. Then read book two and go back and read book one and re-read book two. Then construct your tinfoil hat. Find out every cool idea or connection you put together has been discussed by people with bigger tinfoil hats than yours. Make a bigger hat. Re-read the books while taking notes. Get depressed that book 3 isn't coming out. Read 20-30 other books. Come back and read the books again. Compose a master's thesis level discussion about the use of a particular word. Realize that that topic has already been turned into a dissertation by someone else 10 years ago. Slide into depression. Read books again for comfort. Join the horde of people arguing that Pat doesn't owe us anything. Get help for depression. Join the group of people mad at Pat for not producing book 3. Stop taking meds and slide back into depression. Get help again. Read other books. Unsub. Get curious how things are going over here. Resub. Occasionally read the books between reading other books to try and cope with post book depression. Pick a random spot in the middle of this journey and do it all again.

The theory on an online message board that Kvothe is Rand Al Thor reborn and that Denna is a woman reborn annoys me. They’re not Wheel of Time characters, they’re from the Kingkiller Chronicles books.
If you like Wheel of Time then that’s fine, but...my gosh. What a weird theory.

A place of demons
“Old Cob was filling his role as storyteller and advice dispensary. The men at the bar sipped their drinks and listened. In the back room a young innkeeper stood out of sight behind the door, smiling as he listened to the details of a familiar story.“ This is an artwork based on "The name of the wind”, a book I adore with my whole soul :’) Hope you like it!!

Unsure as to whether or not I should do an extensive review of ‘The Wise Man’s Fear’. The book had pros, but it also had a lot of cons. Right now I’m sitting on 3 stars? At a push 3.5..
