On an early Saturday morning, the Hargreeves' children were awoken by Pogo. They were all fourteen at this point and were used to being awoken early in the morning to do training. They reached for their training gear, but Pogo stopped them.
"Ah, actually, today your father needs to discuss and announce something, so training is delayed for the hour" All the Hargreeves children were confused, but dressed themselves and lined up in the living area. Their father came into the room and, to their surprise, was holding a small infant. They gasped in surprise, staring at the child. "Children, this is number 8. They, like you, have powers. They have the ability of water manipulation, and I will be raising them alongside you."
They all stared at the child, taking in their features and their peaceful expression. Klaus stared at them; he felt a strange connection to this kid. Reginald placed the child into a bassinet and left the room, and ordered the siblings to get back to training. They all wanted to stay for a moment and process what was going on, but Grace shooed them out of the room. Klaus stepped outside so his mother would get off his back but went back into the living area once she'd left. With shaking hands, he reached for the baby. He gently picked up the child, and her eyes fluttered open and stared at Klaus. Her expression changed to one of confusion, and Klaus panicked, thinking she would begin to cry. Much to Klaus' surprise, the baby began to giggle. At that moment, Klaus just knew he'd have a special bond with that little girl.

*4 Years Later*
Klaus really did love her. He did. But not even his love for her could make him stand the thought of spending a second longer in that house with his cruel father. He felt terrible. Most of the Hargreeves' children had left home already, moving out and pursuing a new life. Klaus had held off on this for a while, wanting to stay for (Y/N). But he just couldn't take it anymore. He wanted to stay and protect her, she still had at least twelve more years here, and God knows what their father would do with her once none of her siblings could defend her. After the fight Klaus had with his father, though, he couldn't stand the thought of staying in that house anymore. He felt horrible, he couldn't leave without a goodbye, but you were nowhere to be found at that point, likely somewhere with Grace. He sighed, collecting a few of his things that he didn't mind leaving in your possession. He grabbed a photo of the two of you from his nightstand. The photograph captured one of you and Klaus' many good memories. In the photo, you were on Klaus' bed. Klaus was tickling you, and you were laying on the bed, shrieking, giggling, and kicking. You had a bright grin, and Klaus was looking up at you with pure adoration in his eyes. He felt tears swell in his eyes, reminiscing on that precious moment, but he blinked them away. He grabbed your favourite glittery gel pen and began to write on the back of the photo.
Dear (Y/N/N), I'm sorry, but I have to go. You need to know that I still love you, though. You're the most amazing little sister in the world, and I'm gonna miss you. I'm sorry for leaving you but I can't stay any longer. I'll see you soon, sunshine. I'm gonna miss you so much.
- Klausy"
He felt horrible for leaving the poor girl behind; she was so small and vulnerable. He'd come back for her someday. He put his things into a pile and left the photo and note on her bed. A tear rolled down his cheek as he went to leave your room. Just before he left, he grabbed one of your stuffed animals. You and Klaus always played with it when you were little. He shoved into his bag and walked out of your room. He shut the door, climbed out his window, and didn't return to the Hargreeves' mansion for years.
☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆
*12 years later*
You were 16 by now. It had been a long time since you'd seen any of your siblings, and you missed them dearly. You hadn't seen or heard from Klaus since he left that note on your bed. It broke your heart when he left, he was your best friend. You still had all your brothers belongings that he left in your room and kept whatever he left in his bedroom. You were 4 when he left and had grown a ton since he had left. It had been 4 years since you had seen any of your siblings. The last one of your siblings you saw was Luther before he went to the moon, even then, he didn't ever talk to you much. You liked watching the news or movies to see your sister, Allison, or your brother, Viktor, or even your other brother, Diego. Your father had recently passed away, and you were devastated. He was a cruel, cruel man, but he was still your father. However, this meant a funeral would be held.
You prayed that Klaus would come to it, wanting nothing more than to see your favourite brother again. It was finally the day of the funeral. You changed into your black dress, with tights and your black converse. You got dressed and applied your makeup before heading downstairs. There was a knock on the door, and you ran down the stairs to answer it. Your eyes blew wide to see it was Klaus. You went to leap on him, but he stopped you. His eyes were bloodshot, and he seemed out of it. You quickly realised that he was on drugs and likely didn't recognise you, considering how much you had grown up since he last saw you.
"Klausy?" You said quietly, in shock. He stared at you, perplexed, until he remembered that nickname. "Oh (Y/N/N)!" He shrieked and hugged you tightly. "Oh, how I missed you, sunshine!" You smiled happily and hugged your brother back tightly. It was weird to see him now, he looked so different. But it had been 12 years of no contact, and you also looked drastically different, so you couldn't say much.
☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆
*a few hours later*
You had spent your last few hours greeting your other siblings and doing other random things but spent the majority of it bonding with Klaus. He was amazed at how grown up you now were and felt a pang of guilt, knowing he missed all of your childhood. You both went over what you had been up to for those past few years and Klaus listened intently to every word you said.
It was nearly time for the funeral when you heard something outside. Everyone rushed outside, and you saw something that looked like a bright blue portal. You stared in confusion, hidden behind your brothers. Much to your surprise, a boy (who looked a couple years younger than you) fell from the portal. All your siblings seemed shocked to see him, as if they knew him, but didn't expect him to be there. He looked somewhat familiar, but you couldn't put your finger on it.
"Does anyone else see little number Five? Or is that just me..?" Klaus said, unsure if the drugs were causing him to see things.
The boy looked around, staring at the faces of his siblings. "Shit."
☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆
You had now properly introduced yourself to Five and realised where you recognised him from. He was in the painting over the mantel. He knew of your existence from Viktor's book but was somewhat glad to formally meet you. It was now time for the funeral... it didn't exactly go down well. Diego made some ballsy remark, and it all kicked off. Him and Luther began to shove each other. You watched, eyes blown wide. You were stood with Klaus underneath his pink umbrella. Klaus watched as they fought, pushing you behind him and putting his arm out in front of you. Your breath hitched, you were scared at the sight. Klaus encouraged the fight until he saw your reaction. He covered your eyes, "Oh cmon, not in front of the kid!" As the words fell from his mouth, they crashed into Ben's statue. You heard the crash and Allison bluntly say 'Well, there goes Ben's statue.' Klaus did enjoy watching fights but wanted you away from the scene.
You sat down on the sofa, shaken by the scene. You knew Diego was violent and ballsy but you never expected him to do such things. You were staring into space, paying no attention to your surroundings until you felt the sofa dip beside you. You turned your head to see Klaus. "Hey sunshine, so much for a funeral, huh?" He laughed breathily, taking a puff of his cigarette. You looked down, Klaus noticing your dejected state. He put an arm around her. "Cmon, sunshine, no need to get down about it, they're just moody old men. They'll be fine." You smiled softly up at your brother and he grinned at you.
"There's that smile, huh." He said, attempting to make your smile even wider by tickling you. You began to shriek and giggle as he poked at your ribs. He laughed softly, remembering the picture he had left on your bed all those years ago. The memory was bittersweet, he loved it but couldn't help but associate it with abandoning you all.those years ago. He vowed to never leave you like that ever again.
☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆
*dallas, texas, 1963*
It had been a while since you ended up in Dallas, after going through that portal. Luckily for you, you landed with your big sister, Allison. She took you under her wing, allowing you to live with her. She told Ray that you were 16 and just looked a bit old for your age and that she had you when she was in her teens. Ray loved her and believed it, he accepted you as his own daughter. But nothing made you stop missing your big brother. Allison sent you to school in order to not arouse suspicion. You weren't the biggest fan, but it helped you to keep your cover. One day, you'd had a pretty shitty day and stormed into the house. You hoped to collapse onto the sofa and just lay there. As you slammed the front door you heard a man's voice as well as Allison's. You peeked into the living room, seeing Klaus. "Klaus?!" He looked up at you, "Oh, sunshine! Just the girl I wanted to see!" He leapt up from the sofa, taking you into his embrace. Allison smiled, opting to leave you two to have a moment. He pulled away, wanting to see how much you'd grown since you last saw each other but noticed your tear-stained cheeks and red eyes. "Whoa, whoa, woah, what happened to you sunshine?"
"N-nothing, it's fine." You sniffled, averting your gaze to the floor. "Talk to me, what's going on?" With this, your eyes teared up again, and you broke down crying, explaining what had happened. Klaus held you, stroking your hair and consoling you. "It's gonna be okay sunshine, you should know I'll be there for you." You smiled up at him weakly, and he dried one of your tears. "If we have each other, we'll both be fine." He said with a soft smile.

“Cut the bullshit Klaus.”
“What! It’s the honest to god truth, I pinky swore and everything! Does that mean nothing to you!” Klaus whined, lifting up his pinky finger to wave it in your face before you smacked it away with an indignant scoff. “Yeah right.”
Klaus has brought to your attention that his douche of a brother, Ben, has formed a crush on you in recent times, before going on tangents about how he couldn’t look away from you, his eyes widening with awe whenever you stepped into the same room as him before straightening his posture as you cut across his line of sight, leaving behind a lingering trail of your scent. He would then add on how Ben would try to show off subtly to you and even stand closer to you whenever his family called upon yours for a one sided meeting that naturally ended in raised voices and threats of violence.
ludicrous doesn’t even begin to describe what you were feeling when hearing the shit that came from your friends mouth without suspecting that he may have snuck himself a couple of drugs beforehand despite being clear for a long while now besides the occasional self indulgence of a drink. You trusted Klaus but sometimes the things he says aren’t exactly grounded in reality and so you were suspicious to say the least when he started claiming that Ben, the man who’d done nothing but stare daggers into your back and berate your friends to elevate his own ego, had somehow aloud himself the time to grow a crush on you.
“I assure you it’s the truth! Only I could tell when Benarino is in love and you my dear friend are his object of desire.” Klaus said airily as he crept closer to you, throwing an arm over your shoulder and bringing you into his side, “I can see it now. Y/n and Ben sitting in a tree, k.i.s.s.i.n.g-“ you cut off his teasing by shoving him away by bringing your hand to his face. “Nice to know I’m nothing more then an object to him then.” “You know I didn’t mean it like that!” Klaus whined, swatting away your hand from his face to pout at you before becoming serious.
“His eyes literally turn into hearts when he looks at you! He’s only ever looked at you like that whenever you laughed at something stupid being said or when your eyes brighten up with joy whenever we actually act like a proper fucking family for once. He looks at you like that whenever you say something snarky and smart or when you do something really cool and this doesn’t take an idiot to not notice but Ben really and truly can’t get enough of you y/n.” You didn’t say anything afterwards and instead opted to look into Klaus’ green eyes for any indication that the impassioned speech was nothing more then a lie but all you could find was pure and genuine emotions.
He wasn’t lying, he’d never lie to you about how Ben felt when he’s known his the longest out of any of his siblings, so if anyone knew of Ben’s feelings for you it’d be Klaus. You look away from him briefly to compose your thoughts and what your next move would be but a snicker brought your attention back to Klaus as he stared at you knowingly with a mischievous smirk across his face. “I know your secrete.” He prods your cheek with a finger. “Oh yeah? Enlighten me then.” You snarked, crossing your arms over your chest, feeling quite confident that Klaus was going to utter the most ridiculous shit you’ve ever heard…until.
“You like Ben.”
…Shit

klaus was practically buried in a heap of blankets, a few awry tufts of hair being the only confirmation that he was, in fact, still seated on the sofa in the living room of the academy.
every so often, the mountain of fabric shook as klaus coughed or sneezed, and you would feel sympathetic if half of you didn’t find his theatrics somewhat entertaining.
klaus had come down with a cold which, though never a pleasant illness to fall victim to, was not nearly as drastic as he was making it out to be. he had a stuffy nose and a sore throat, the occasional headache now and then, but to him, it was the end of the world as he knew it.
when he’d first noticed he was getting sick, klaus had draped himself over you, hand pressed against his forehead like a damsel in distress as he told you he was coming down with something.
it had only gotten worse from there.
“you’re laughing,” he moaned, head popping out to reveal his flushed cheeks and messy hair. “i’m sick, and you’re laughing at me. do you understand the betrayal i’m feeling right now? my own partner doesn’t even care that i’m ill.”
“i’m not laughing,” you lied, trying your hardest to keep a straight face as you placed a fresh box of tissues on the coffee table in front of him. “i’m deeply concerned for your well-being, actually.”
“you’re lucky you’re hot, babe, cause you’re a terrible liar,” he declared, flippantly grabbing a tissue and blowing his nose.
“hey, i’m looking after you, aren’t i? i even made you some soup the other day!”
“after you lectured me for a half hour,” klaus countered, somehow managing to act proud even in his sick state.
you scoffed, jabbing at the air in front of his chest.
“because i told you that you’d get sick if you went outside in that weather. but did you listen to me?”
klaus threw his hands up, your eyes catching a glimpse of the black ink adorning his palms. though he was acting frustrated, he flashed you a toothy smile.
“well, in sickness and in health babe! we gotta stick together to get through this.”
you didn’t bother trying to mask your laughter this time, allowing your hand to fly up to your mouth to at least stifle some of the giggles pouring out of it.
“it’s a cold, klaus. you’ll be fine in a few days you idiot.”
“oh?” he raised his eyebrows, as if accepting a challenge. klaus forced a cough, attempting to produce hoarse and painful sound. “we’ll see about that.”

Dating Headcanons F.H
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What it’s Like to Date Five Hargreeves
Pairings — Five Hargreeves x Reader (pronouns not specified)
Summary — My headcanons for if you were Five’s lover.
Warnings — opinions, no plot, it’s all over the place, last one is semi-NSFW.
A/N — i try to avoid nsfw with five because yk.. in the show, he’s physically thirteen but this one was too funny not to add. let’s all just pretend there was a happy ending okay 😭😭. i wrote this before season four came out so let’s pretend it ended happily.
— if you want another version where it’s just headcanons of you and five in the apocalypse i’m down for that.
Tumblr media
— I see headcanons where Five is straight up mean, manipulative, and where he’s just using you.
— To me, that’s not Five being in love with you. Have you seen how he treats Delores? HE’S SO SWEET TO HER.
— So if you’re his lover, he will give you princess treatment like no other, holy shit.
—He’ll prepare breakfast so it’s ready to be eaten when you wake up.
— He thinks breakfast in bed is a recipe for disaster so he never does that.
— If you take a while to wake up he’ll wake you up.
— “My love, breakfast is ready.” He’ll whisper into your ear before pressing a kiss onto your temple, then one on your forehead, then your nose… then finally a chaste kiss on your lips.
— He’ll tuck you in bed at night and make sure you’re all snug before leaving. If you can’t sleep he’ll read to you.
— With him around, you genuinely never have to open a door. In addition to paying for every meal, he always walks on the outside of the sidewalk. He also pulls the chair out for you when you sit and showers you with praise.
— Sometimes the praise is simple whispers in your ear because he isn’t much into PDA.
— There was never an official wedding, he stole two matching rings and gave one to you.
— He’d like to have an official wedding.
— If he has to worry about the apocalypse he’ll probably neglect you only because he thinks the fate of the world is in his hands.
— He loves going on simple dates, whether it’s at Griddy’s Doughnuts, a simple stroll in the park, or a little painting place.
— He’s fancy but he doesn’t see the point in expensive restaurants. He likes the little things.
— He loves to make and paint pottery with you, it’s his favourite thing to do.
— When he can’t sleep he’ll come over to your place and sit on the roof with you.
— If you fall asleep he’ll Blink into your room and tuck you in, and he’ll even leave a note for you to read when you wake up.
— It usually goes along the lines of..
“You fell asleep, don’t worry I made sure you got back in your room and I picked up all your stuffies from the floor and put them on the bed with you.”
— He struggles with insomnia.
— He’ll write you love letters even though it’s more convenient to send a text. He loves you and he’s willing to put effort in love notes.
— His primary love languages are quality time and acts of service.
— He doesn’t show much affection in public.
— He doesn’t mind holding your hand though.
— Five won’t be afraid to hold your hand, wrap an arm around your shoulders or waist while he’s with his siblings.
— Kisses and hugs are private though.
— Despite being private, he doesn’t hide the fact he’s dating you.
— If anyone tries anything on you, Five will glare daggers. If that’s not enough, he’ll threaten them, and if they keep pushing he’ll make them bleed (but not too severe 🥰)
— He’s hella protective.
— You make midnight munchies together.
— He’ll refuse to dance with you in the kitchen at 2am but he’ll reluctantly say yes and end up actually enjoying it.
— Same goes for dancing in the rain. He pretends to hate it but he loves it and you know he does.
— You always make pasta or noodles for midnight munchies.
— One time you made cookies and accidentally woke up Klaus who ate the cookie dough before you got to put it in the oven.
— When you guys had sex for the first time Klaus congratulated you and Five with a cake that said ‘virgin’ in the middle of a 🚫 and woke you up the next day with confetti.
Tumblr media
— sorry, i know i said i’d have a part three to my ben hargreeves fic but i wrote it and didn’t edit it.. and it didn’t seem entertaining enough to post, i’m sorry.
— if you want headcanons with the apocalypse involved, let me know <3

Meet The Family: Part of the Tesoro Series
Five Hargreeves / F!Reader
Tumblr media
Word Count : 3k Summary : Five finds a way to return to 2019, you both break your contract with the commission and you meet your in-laws for the first time. Aged up!Five, reader has the ability to shapeshift. Fluff with a lil bit of angst if you squint. ( I do not own the umbrella academy or any of it's characters ) Warnings : Cursing, drinking, allusions to sex, talking about death
“Do you trust me?” Five asked, both of you standing on the grassy knoll. You nodded, staring into his eyes.
“Of course I do.” He wet his lips nervously, looking around.
“Okay,” he said, wiping his hands off on his pants. You grabbed his hand squeezing it.
“Hey,” he turned to look at you, “whatever happens we face it together, okay?” You squeezed his hand again, giving him a small smile. He nodded, returning the smile. Although his didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“Hold onto me, okay?” He said holding your eye contact. You nodded, grabbing his bicep, gripping his gray coat sleeve. It definitely was a struggle, but slowly the blue portal opened. The wind whipped your hair in front of your face, Five’s yells grew louder. Suddenly his hands passed through the blue, with you following behind him. You felt your body warp as you pushed through. It was similar to changing, but your body wasn’t changing outwards, it felt like it was being turned in on yourself.
And then you were falling, fortunately for you, and unfortunately for Five, he broke your fall. You both groaned as you rolled off of him onto the wet pavement. You took in deep gasps of air, your hand coming to your chest as you closed your eyes. Tiny pebbles rubbed against your hands, getting stuck under your fingernails. You heard Five shuffle next to you, his feet scraping on the pavement as he stood up.
“Shit,” you snapped your eyes open, why did he sound so different? You gasped as your eyes fell on your husband. He was young, younger than when you had first met him. Early 20s, maybe?
“Does anyone else see Number Five and some girl or is that just me?” A man’s voice said. You looked up staring at a group of people you quickly deciphered as Five’s siblings. You looked down at yourself, your hands were still scarred, but they looked fresh. Like they had looked when you first escaped the lab, you shook your head. If Five was younger, then that meant you must be too. You felt your face, the wrinkles around your eyes were gone. You were young again.
“What’s the date? The exact date?” Five said walking around the kitchen. You felt yourself shrink under his siblings' gaze. Mainly Klaus who seemed enamored by you. You had already caught his gaze once and he had given you a strange little wave while criss crossed on the table. If he moved his knee the wrong way you were sure you would get to see a bit more than you wanted to of your new in-laws.
“The 24th.” Vanya said, still in disbelief.
“Of what?” Five asked exasperated.
“Of March?” She said her eyes never leaving Five.
“Good.” He continued making his peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich.
“So are we gonna talk about what just happened?” Luther spoke up, eyeing you warily, “And who the hell is this?” He whispered, leaning closer to Five. Five continued making his sandwich, refusing to meet Luther’s eyes.
“This is Y/n, my wife.” He said as though it was an obvious observation.
“Your wife?” Alison said, her head snapping to look at you.
“How’d you land her? Did you kidnap her?” Klaus snorted looking between you and Five. You smiled, looking down at your lap.
“We have bigger problems than Five’s girlfriend at the moment. It’s been 17 years!” Luther said standing up, Five scoffed turning to face him.
“It’s been a lot longer than that.” He said before he blinked behind him. “And she’s my wife, you’ll treat her as such, got it?” He said over his shoulder.
“I haven’t missed that.” Luther sighed, staring forward where Five once was. You looked at all the siblings. Vanya was the closest to you, she seemed timid. Alison was next, standing up with her arms crossed. Then Klaus, and Diego, who was staring daggers at you at the moment before he turned his gaze to Five.
“Where’d you go?” Diego asked, his eyes returning to you. You gulped, returning your gaze to your hands.
“The future. It’s shit by the way.” Five said grabbing marshmallows and blinking back to the table.
“Called it!” Klaus said, raising a finger.
“I should have listened to the old man.” Five sighed moving around the kitchen like he hadn’t been gone for more than a day. “You know jumping around space is one thing.” He opened the fridge door looking inside, “jumping through time is a toss of the dice.” He stood at the head of the table. “Nice dress.” He said, looking Klaus over.
“Oh, well danke!” Klaus smiled before Vanya cut him off.
“Wait, how did you get back?” She asked, putting her hands up, unable to comprehend Five’s nonchalant attitude.
“In the end I had to project my consciousness forward into a quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time.”
“That makes no sense.” Diego mumbled looking at the tile floor, “how did she get through.” His eyes flicked up toward you. You felt your face heat up, and you turned to look at Five.
“I opened the portal allowing her to follow, and it would make sense if you were smarter.” Diego jumped up, only being held back by Luther.
“How long were you there?” Luther asked.
“Forty five years. Give or take. Including my time spent at our old job.” The commission. You felt your blood run cold, how could you have forgotten? Did they already have a team out looking for you? Working long enough for the Handler you knew the workings of her mind. She could never get over the fact that you and Five were together. Call it jealousy, or call it the inability to completely control someone. You weren’t stupid, you saw how she looked at Five, it made your blood boil. She wouldn’t kill him, he was too valuable to her, you on the other hand were good as dead.
“So what are you saying? You’re 58?” Luther asked, all his siblings having the same confused expression on their face.
“No, my consciousness is 58.” He said before putting a slice of bread over his sandwich monstrosity. “Apparently my body is now 20 again.”
“Wait, how does that even work?” Vanya asked, shaking her head. Five took a bite of his sandwich before turning back to you. He picked up the newspaper sitting on top of the table.
“Guess we missed the funeral.” He said, no discernible tone in his voice.
“How’d you know about that?” Luther asked his eyes never leaving Five.
“What part of the future do you not understand?” Five said furrowing his brows. You looked up, Alison was looking at you this time. She offered you a small smile which you returned. Although it felt more like a grimace.
“Heart failure, huh?”
“Yeah.” Diego said before being cut off by Luther.
“No.” Five clicked his tongue walking over to you.
“Nice to see nothings changed.” He said before turning to you. His cold fingers brushed against your arm, his brows furrowed seemingly deep in thought. He grabbed your hand leading you out of the kitchen.
“That’s it? That’s all you have to say?” Alison asked, throwing her hands up in the air. As Five pulled you after him.
“What else is there to say? The circle of life.” He said looking over his shoulder.
-
“Five come to bed.” You said leaning on the spare bedroom door. You pulled your robe tighter around your body crossing your arms. Five stood in front of his whiteboard, equation after equation covering the board. He hadn’t even changed out of his work clothes yet. His tie hung loosely around his neck, you could just imagine how he had been pulling at it. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and his top two buttons were unbuttoned.
“In a minute, dearest.” He waved at you, his face never leaving the board. You sighed walking up behind him, wrapping your arms around him. You laid your head against his back, moving with him every time he leaned forward to change something. The only sound in the room was his heart against your ear and the squeak of the pen.
“Five,” you whined. He sighed, setting his pen down. He held your hands against his stomach.
“Yes tesoro?” He turned, moving you so you were standing in front of him.
“I’m tired.”
“Then go to bed.” He said as though talking to a small child. You rolled your eyes, giving him a look. He smiled before kissing your head. His mustache bristled against your forehead.
“Not without you.” If he wanted to treat you like a child, fine. You stared up at him through your eyelashes, your lower lip jutting out.
“Now that’s not fair.” He scolded, a smile on his face. You laughed breaking your pout, you took his hands leading him out of the room.
“Come on Mr. Hargreeves,” you cooed a smirk on your lips. He tried to glare at you, but slowly a smile crept on his face.
“What will you give me, Mrs. Hargreeves?” He teased his hands finding the tie to your robe.
“Guess you’ll have to find out.” You leaned forward whispering against the shell of his ear. He chuckled lowly, letting you pull him into your shared bedroom
-
He blinked you both up into his old bedroom. You sat on his bed staring at your hands. He opened up his closet, muttering under his breath.
“Well, the first meeting with the in-laws wasn’t too bad.” You said watching his back.
“Mm.” He grumbled, rifling through the closet.
“Are you okay?” You asked, sliding off his bed to your feet.
“No!” He snapped, turning to look at you, “We’re stuck in these bodies! The world is about to end and I have no idea what to do!” He yelled, running a hand through his hair.
“Hey, it’s okay, we’ll figure it out, we always do.” You soothed approaching him like a cornered animal.
“Yeah, how'd that work the last time?” He scoffed a sarcastic smile on his face.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” You asked, crossing your arms.
“It was the decimal! If I had had time to look over my equations I would have seen it.” He seethed, you recoiled.
“Are you saying this is my fault?” You furrowed your brows.
“Yes!” He threw his hands up, “If you wouldn’t have bothered me, we wouldn’t be in this situation!” He snarled his finger in your face. You grit your teeth, trying to keep your cool.
“Obviously you need some time by yourself.” You said coolly, walking away from him.
“Fucking finally.” He scoffed, shaking his head as you slammed the door behind you.
-
You flew down the stairs, all but running into Vanya.
“Oh,” you said as you bumped into her, almost losing your balance, “sorry.”
“It’s ok.” She says, “Are you ok?” She asks. You bite your lip, looking behind you.
“No.” You answer honestly, crossing your arms, “Your stupid brother is the biggest asshole I know.” You huffed.
“Yeah,” She smiled, chuckling slightly, “he can be a real pain the the ass.” You smiled looking back at her. You fell into an uncomfortable silence, before she said. “But he seems to really love you.” She gives you a smile.
“Well he’s got a funny way of showing it.” You shake your head.
“Five has never been the most emotionally mature person,” she chuckles, crossing her arms, “but none of us are, you saw that earlier.” You admired her honesty.
“I appreciate it, Vanya.” You smiled, touching her arm.
“Listen, if you want to take the edge off, dads liquor cabinet is that way.” She points towards a room off the atrium.
“Thank you, I might take you up on that offer.” You nod heading that way, “see you around.”
She smiles and nods as you walk into the living room.
You groan, immediately face to face with a large oil painting of your husband.
“Yeah I feel that way about my siblings more often than not.” Klaus says stretching on the couch. You jump, your hand coming to your heart. “Oh woah!” He sits up looking at you. “Your hair! How did you do that!” He smirks pointing to his own head.
You smile softly, changing your hair back to your normal color.
“I was genetically altered as a kid.” You say looking back at the smug smile of your husband.
“Dang, heavy stuff.” He says leaning back on the plush couch. “Want to get drunk?” He asks with a grin spreading across his face.
“Hell yes.” You laugh, turning to look at him. He jumps up clapping his hands together.
“Great! I was looking for an excuse to get into the old man’s alcohol.” He moves to the bar, every movement he makes is extremely fluid. Like he’s floating everywhere. You walk up to the bar, sitting on one of the stools. “Now hang on, missy,” he says, holding out a finger towards you, “are you old enough to drink? Let me see your ID.” You laugh, shaking your head.
“Technically I’m 45,” you say a grin working its way onto your face, “and I don’t have an ID.”
“No way.” Klaus says leaning forward on the bar, his hands clasped together. “You, 45? What’s your secret?”
You giggle, shaking your head, “A time traveling husband helps.” You shrug.
“Hmm, guess I need to find me one of those,” he muses as he hands you a glass. You study the glass in your hands, watching the golden liquid swirl inside.
“So how long have you been with Five?” He asks, swirling the alcohol in his glass before downing it.
“Um,” you hum looking up, “about 25 years, we’ve been married for 21.” You sip the alcohol, it’s good, maybe a brandy?
“Jeez, you stuck with that old geezer for 21 years? More than any of us.” He says, chuckling to himself. You nod, your lips forming a tight line.
“Yep.” You tense your jaw, downing whatever is left in your glass. Grimacing as the alcohol burns your throat.
“Enough about Five.” Klaus says, “Tell me about you, Mrs. Hargreeves, I mean I would be an awful brother-in-law if I didn’t know anything about my new sister.” He grins walking around the bar to sit next to you on a stool.
“I’m really not that special,” you chuckle, setting your glass down on the bar top.
“Mrs. I change my hair color when I’m surprised, isn't special?” He asks tilting his head, “What, did Five tell you that?” His brows furrowed as he recoiled.
“No, no he would never say that.” You wave him off.
“Well what else can you do missy?” He asked, leaning forward, a smirk pulling at his lips.
“Well, I can change my appearance to look like anyone I want. As long as I know what they look like.” You shrugged.
“Ooh! Do me! Do me!” He says, patting your arm excitedly. You smile before turning to face him.
He tried to stay still but his leg continues to bounce. You look him over once before you feel your body stretch. Your hair changes to a short curly brown, tattoos adorn your skin. Klaus’s grin grows by the minute.
“Holy smokes!” He exclaims looking at you, “Am I really that good looking?” You burst out laughing, maybe it was the brandy, maybe you were just having fun for the first time in a long time.
You change back into yourself, wincing as your head throbs slightly.
“Can I ask you a personal question?” He leans forward lowering his voice slightly.
“Klaus, I think every question you’ve asked me so far has been personal.”
“Have you ever,” he wiggles his eyebrows, “you know, changed in the bedroom?” You pull a grin on your face.
“Klaus!” You blush, feeling your cheeks heat up.
“Well? Have you?” He pushes his voice higher than before.
“No! Never!” You say waving him off.
“Oh come on! You don’t have to lie to me!” He pleads his hand resting on your arm.
“And I’m telling you Klaus, I’ve never changed during sex!” You whisper covering his hand with your own.
“Fine! Fine.” He says pulling away, “but if I find out you’re lying there will be hell to pay young lady!” He scolds half heartedly, you shake your head, a smile on your face.
“Yes sir.”
“Y/n?” Five stands in the doorway, his hands stuffed in his pockets. Klaus groans, throwing his head back.
“What do you want?” He asks glaring at him.
FIve ignores his brother, he adjusts his jacket looking up at you.
“Can we talk?” He pleads, walking toward you. You let out a sigh and nod.
“Yeah I’m going, I’m going.” Klaus says waving to the air, as if someone only he could see was pestering him. Once he’s past Five he turns flipping him off. You snicker, looking down at your feet. Five sits next to you at the bar, he reaches for you, taking your hand. You don’t pull away which he takes as a good sign.
You wait for him to talk, feeling his warm hand in yours. If you were anything, you were patient. Especially when Five came crawling to you on his knees.
“I’m an asshole.”
“Yep.” You say nonchalantly.
“I shouldn't have snapped at you, I just-“ he sighed, shaking his head, “I just screwed this whole thing up. I missed the decimal and changed our bodies forever.” He looked at your glass, avoiding your gaze.
“Hey,” you said, reaching out and turning his head to look at you, “I’m not mad at you for what happened. This-,” you motioned to yourself “I took this risk, and I’d do it all over again.” You reached up holding his face in your hands.. He leaned into your touch, his own hand coming up to caress yours.
“What did I do to deserve you?” He asked, shaking his head.
“Beats me.” You laughed, he rolled his eyes lightly shoving you. You smirked, pulling him closer, kissing him. He hummed smiling into the kiss, his hand wrapped around your waist. You cupped his cheek, rubbing your thumb over his jaw. You weren’t lying when you said it didn’t matter what happened, as long as you had Five next to you, you would be just fine.

NOTE ◆ … lolllllll!!!!!!! there's no ben smut out there so (insert thanos meme) fine, i'll do it myself.
The Ben that you had fallen in love with when you were younger has been dead for almost fifteen years . . . you had to keep telling yourself that. Getting over his death was one of the hardest things that you had ever done, because his loss was the first one that you had ever experienced at the ripe age of seventeen years old. You weren’t even an adult and yet, you were faced with the tragedy of your first love being killed and you had to face that realization every day for the rest of your life. You remembered the day like it was yesterday, and although it had been over a decade since it happened, there were some times where you would wake up in the middle of the night, sweat covering your entire body and gasping for air because of the nightmares you endured. You weren’t there to witness his death, but the tragedy was all the same. In your nightmares he was ripped away from you without a goodbye.
You finally started to forget about the trauma when you were in Dallas, as there seemed to be no way to get back to the future and for the life that you had back in 2019. You even met some other people, though nothing came to fruition like your relationship with Ben did. With him it felt so natural to be in love and with everyone else you felt like you were going through the motions. Instead you grew your relationships with your friends and that managed to take your mind off of him.
And you thought that this mess was done once you made it back to 2019. Everything seemed fine until you and The Umbrella Academy came face to face with Reginald, who was explaining that your home wasn’t your home anymore . . . or it never was. You were confused as hell on what had happened due to time travel. Noises were heard from the top of the balcony and you and your family turned around, revealing a whole set of other people just like you and some weird floating cube.
And just as you thought things couldn’t get any more weird, you heard footsteps to your left and saw none other than Ben Hargreeves, more alive than you could remember him being.
Dad, who the hell are these assholes?
That voice was still ringing in your head as clear as day, because to be honest, you couldn’t remember much from the encounter. You took one look at your deceased past lover who was no longer dead and started to shake, the familiar feeling of being hopeless came back to you and you passed out. Five would later tell you that he caught you and was able to get you out of the house before people started to fight, and it wasn’t until five hours later that you woke up. In this timeline, he’s still alive, Y/N, He would say to you when you finally came to, in some hotel room that your family booked. He’s not the same Ben that you fell in love with. He’s different.
And for a few hours you believed that, you tried to join your family in getting on with their lives and planning for their future, but you couldn’t get your mind off of Ben. Because in a way, he was the same person that you fell in love with. Your curiosity got the best of you and like always, led you to do some questionable things – because why would life ever be simple for you?
Your curiosity led you to the doorstep of The Sparrow Academy, knocking on the door and waiting for someone to answer it, not entirely sure that what you were doing is what you should actually be doing. You heard that there was a fight here and although you didn’t get too much information from your siblings, you were sure that there was still bad blood between the two families. The person to answer the door was a brunette woman, who stood a little bit taller than you and gave you a soft smile, turning to look behind and closed the door behind herself, coming out onto the sidewalk with you. She looked a little nervous that you were here, but didn’t look like she had any ill will against you.
“You’re the one that passed out. I’m Sloane.”
Great. You’re glad that was the reputation they all had of you. How embarrassing.
“I don’t normally do that,” You said. “There’s just someone here that reminds me of someone I used to know.”
Sloane looked confused for a second, her features scrunching up in thought before they softened, as if she realized who you were talking about. “Ben said something about your family giving him weird looks. And you passed out right after you saw him . . . How do you know him?”
“Ben was . . . Well, Ben was in our timeline too. I knew him from then but he died almost fifteen years ago. It was . . .” You trailed off, not knowing the right words to use. You were notorious for never talking about it, which was not good for your healing as you’ve heard, but it was always too painful to think about. “It was traumatic for all of us.”
“You loved him.”
Was it that easy to see? Maybe what gave it away was your pained expression at the mere thought of his death, or that you could barely say his name above a whisper. The more you stood in front of her the more you wanted to run away, thinking that this was a bad decision and that you should’ve listened to your family and stayed the hell away from here. But you couldn’t just leave now, and soon enough Sloane was inviting you in and telling you which door led to Ben’s room, and soon enough you were knocking on the door.
You heard a groan, and a small come in and for a moment you hesitated, thinking that you would be saddened by the fact that the new Ben wasn’t the same one. But you just needed to see him, even if it was just for a moment. You opened the door and closed it, coming face to face with someone who looked the same as your lover, smelled the same as your lover, and even stood the same as him too, but it wasn’t him. It was someone else.
“Did you come in to discuss something about your family, or are you just trying to get your hands on one of us since you didn’t get a piece of the action earlier?” Ben asked, his tone condescending and nothing like how you remembered it being. “As I recall, your little twitchy brother zapped you out of the house before things got exciting.” You shook your head, taking a step back as he took a step forward. You were silent, still eyes wide at the sight of him. The only thing that was different about his appearance was the visible scar on his face and the slightly tight fitting shirts that Ben never wore before.
You opened your mouth to say, “I just wanted to see if it was really you.”
“What do you mean, really me?” He asked.
“It’s a long story. But the Ben that I knew died so long ago, and I loved him so much. Seeing you down there earlier today just brought all of it back. I never thought that I would see you again . . . But it’s not you. Or at least the one that I knew from my timeline,” You explained.
“You were in love with me?” He asked. It was a strange concept to him. No one had ever loved him, not enough to pass out due to the thought of him, not enough to risk their life to come to his doorstep after their whole family had engaged in a fight that almost killed them. You were gorgeous enough as it is, and now you were telling him that you loved him. In some ways that made him feel a twinge of emotion towards you, and it made him extend his hand out forward. You flinched for a moment at his touch, but allowed it once you felt his fingertips on your arm. Closing your eyes, for a moment it felt like you were seventeen again and Ben was still here.
And you opened your eyes and Ben was there, those eyes that you remembered.
“Did he feel like this?” Ben asked you, his hand not leaving your arm. You nodded, reaching and grabbing the hand with your own. Just like how it used to be. Ben didn’t know why he was doing this, but it felt as if something in the universe was telling him to do it, like it was right somehow. Like you and him were meant to get together. It was all happening so fast.
In a moment of either pure hope or total idiocy, you stood on your tippy toes and kissed him. It was a short kiss, similar to the ones you two had shared before in your past. Clumsy even, noses brushing against one another as you pulled away a tiny bit to get a look at him. His eyes met yours and he leaned in again, not testing the waters like you had. He knew what he wanted and you were shamelessly going to give it to him, no questions asked. Ben’s hands reached down to the small of your back, pulling you into him and not letting go.
The kiss was greedy, taking all that you could of one another, you still standing on your tippy toes and steering out of balance when your chest hit his own. He kept you up though, your legs turning into jelly when he released his lips from your own and indulged in the crook of your neck. It was hot and sloppy, swollen lips trailing from your neck to your jaw and down the other side, a row of saliva glistening on your skin. Your body shuddered, he made you feel weak in his hands and all you wanted to do was fall down but he didn’t let you. Instead his hands kept you firmly, head dipping down further along your collarbone and squatting down, placing them on the backs of your thighs, nudging.
Realizing what he wanted, you were quick to obey, jumping into his arms and wrapping your legs around his waist. Ben’s strong arms held you with no problems, hoisting you up so your head was now level with his own. You took the opportunity to press your lips against his own again, hands finding their place on his jawline, kissing with a passion you had never used before with anyone else. His hands pulled you down and he grinded against you, making you moan into his mouth, Ben’s tongue sliding past your parted lips and exploring your mouth.
He began to walk backwards, steadily so as to not trip. And the moment his calves hit the bed, he sat down, taking you with him so you were now straddling his thighs. You were becoming aware of the heat between you two, every shuddering breath that left his lips egged you on further, wanting to make him writhe and moan your name over and over again. The need for him was deeper than you had ever felt before, and you didn’t want to hold back anymore, you wouldn’t let yourself run away from this. It was like he had never left.
There was a small knock on the door and it threw you off your groove, head snapping to the large door. Ben placed a hand on your side to steady you. “Who is it?” He asked, voice wavering a tiny bit at the interruption, hoping the person wouldn’t come in.
“Did you want to train tonight or tomorrow morning?” It was his sister Fei.
A sigh left Ben’s lips. “Tomorrow morning.” There was a muted reply that neither of you could hear, and another moment passed and you knew that she was gone.
“That was close-”
“Ben,” You breathed, not in the mood for small talk. You were still sitting on his thighs and you needed him more than ever now. “Stop talking.” A sly smile came across his lips and you wiped it away with a kiss, going back to the fast pace that had been set before. Your hands came and went under his shirt, feeling the taut skin of his abs and thanking God for his training and conditioning. He was considerably larger and muscular than when you had known him. The thought of him above you with a body like that? It made you falter in your movements.
Using the break in your concentration to his advantage, Ben started mouthing along your skin again, hands pulling up your shirt above your head. His eyes scanned your body, raising an eyebrow. “No bra?” He asked, making you shy away and look anywhere but at his face. You didn’t reply, but he seemed to not like that. His hand came and grabbed your chin, forcing you to look at him. You gave a small smile, “Well I didn’t know that this was happening and I wanted to be comfy.” He hummed, somewhat disappointed in your answer but not disappointed at how compliant you seemed to be with him. Ben went back to kissing your neck, teeth grazing along your soft skin, making you jump whenever he bit down on a particular spot.
You were beginning to grow impatient. Perhaps it was with the way that he was worshiping you, wanting to kiss every single inch of you and make you keel into his touch over and over again. Or maybe it was because no one had ever made you feel this way before. You had been with others before, men whose names you didn’t bother remembering, all men who resembled the one below you now. Men, with blue eyes that you pretended were his, strong arms that felt like the ones that Ben wrapped around you before you said goodbye to him for what you didn’t know would be the last time. They never made you satisfied, and you were left feeling more broken than put together after the deed was done, scrambling to leave in the middle of the night to avoid the awkward conversation that would follow in the morning. Ben, even though he was only kissing you, put those men to shame. You wondered if he was thinking the same, that no woman measured up to you.
He definitely was.
Ben’s hands found your breasts, squeezing them and kneading them together, fingers coming to pinch your nipples. Your back arched into him and you almost fell over on top of him, using your hands on his muscles to stop you. You reached and decided you wanted to please him, to show him how much you wanted him. You trailed your hands under his shirt and came to the band of his pants, pushing your fingers past it and making your way down. Before you could hit his obvious hard on, one of his own hands came and grasped your wrists, pulling your hand away. You looked up, thinking that you did something wrong. Tilting your head, you gave him a silent what?
“I’m not done with you yet,” Ben explained. In one movement he put his hands to your back and flipped you two over, him now on top of you. Your head hit the mattress with a small humph and wondered what he had in store for you.
You worked with him to shimmy your pants and panties off, throwing them to some side of the room. His hands splayed against your thighs and you watched with an open mouth to see what he was going to do. He gave you a look, a familiar one that reminded you that you were actually here with him, not someone who looked and acted like him. It was actually Ben. The one that you still loved, the one that you trusted more than anyone in the world.
You were also well aware of the slick that was beginning to coat your thighs, body betraying you and showing him how much you wanted him, how you ached for him. Ben seemed to like it though, bringing his flesh hand to your slit and scooping some of it up. When he brought his hand back up, you could see the way that it glistened on his skin, popping a finger into his mouth and humming sinfully at the taste. He did it again and again, humming every single time your arousal hit his tongue. You looked down with heated cheeks, feeling a little embarrassed that you were getting so worked up over something so small. “You taste …” He trailed off, bringing his tongue to your folds and swiping up from your hole to your clit. “Amazing.”
“It’s all for you,” You said, wiggling your hips and urging him to pleasure you again. Ben smirked, feeling a sense of pride wash over him at your words. He brought a finger to you and pushed it in, watching your mouth open into a wide ‘O’ at the feeling. He curled it up, making your muscles tighten around him. Ben built a steady pace and he came back up to your face, pressing a kiss to your cheek sweetly as if he couldn’t hear the lewd sounds that were being created when he added a second finger in.
“Did he make you feel like this,” He asked, towering over you. His thumb rubbed against your clit while his fingers fucked into you. “Were you ever under me like this?”
You moaned out at his words, thighs clenching around his hand to keep him there. You couldn’t respond, too busy thinking about the steady fire that was building in you. You reached to climb higher, hoping he would grant you some kind of release. He didn’t give it to you though. Instead, whenever you were getting to that tipping point, he would stop all of his movements altogether until you stopped shaking, then repeat the process over and over again.
It was making you go crazy, how he had the power to push you towards release but he just wouldn’t do it.
“Tell me, when you were with other guys to forget, did they make you feel this good?” Ben whispered into your ear, biting the skin below it. “Did they make you shake under their fingertips?”
So that’s what it was. Jealousy. Ben was jealous of all the men that had been with you before him. How someone else had heard your first moans, been inside you, made you cum before he ever had the chance to. He was determined to make sure that he was better than them, and make sure that you would never go to anyone else again.
“Answer me.”
You opened your mouth to speak but you couldn’t. As if to test you further, he pushed a third finger into you, making you moan out his name loud and roll your eyes to the back of your skull. His thumb kept rubbing languid circles on your clit. You thought if you stayed quiet you could sneak an orgasm, cut him off guard. But as if he heard your thoughts, his movements stalled and he put his other hand firmly on your hips so you couldn’t even move against his statue-like hand. His dark eyes bore into your own and you squeezed around his fingers. “No, they weren’t anything like you. You make me feel so good, Ben.” The praise fell from your lips with ease, lava pooling in your stomach as if threatening to burst at any moment. If only he would just rub a little bit more …
He pulled his hand away from you. Ben didn’t even respond to your statement and you wondered if you said something wrong, if he had enough. And he had enough all right, but not enough of you. He wanted to see you cum, just around his cock and not his fingers.
But you couldn’t hear what he was thinking, which made you whimper when he pulled himself away fully, standing at the edge of the bed. You opened your legs up to him, the farthest that you could go without hurting yourself and hoping that it would make him come back to you quickly. Your clit was aching from several denied orgasms, almost thinking about pulling your hand down to finish yourself off, though deciding against it when knowing Ben would never allow something like that. He liked seeing you writhing like this.
Ben’s hands shed all his clothing. He wasn’t exactly putting on a show for you but you marveled anyways, watching the way that his muscles flexed when his shirt came off and how you wanted to lick all around his abdominal region and make your way all down to his cock, which was pressed against his stomach and slightly glistening with precum. It was big, probably the biggest you’ve ever had and felt your insides clench just thinking about it sliding into you. Once he was satisfied with his clothing off, he came back down to the bed and kneeled between your spread legs.
“Ben,” You whispered. “Please.”
“Please what?” There was a hint of mischief in his eyes and it took all of your strength to not roll your eyes. “What do you want me to do to you?” Of course he wanted to hear you say it, to announce what he was inevitably going to do.
You couldn’t ignore the way you loved how controlling he was with you, how he ordered you to do some things. And as much as you hated that he didn’t let you cum, you also loved how he would make you cum when he wanted you to, not you.
He took his cock into his hands and rubbed the tip against your glistening folds, teasing you in the most sinful way possible.
“Please … Fuck me Ben. Make me cum, I can’t take it anymore.” You just wanted him inside of you so badly, you were going to scream if this went on for any longer. He was right there, denying you both the pleasure.
With a nod of his head, he pushed into you in one fluid motion. The feeling of him bottoming out inside of you made you grip onto his bicep, pulling him close so his warm chest was against your own again. He wasted no time moving, the sound of it deliciously sweet in your ears. Ben took your legs and pushed them upwards, your feet hanging off of his shoulders and pressing your thighs further up until they were almost hitting the mattress. The change in position had you crying out, feeling him hit deeper inside of you.
You could feel every single scrape of his cock against your walls, increasing that fire in your stomach until you were sure you were about to cum. His pace was unrelenting, moving quicker and quicker until you were sure he was using all his power. He kept at it with such loyalty and vigor, his motivation to make you feel the best you ever had fuelling him to a tenfold. He was such a devoted man to begin with, so you should’ve known that he would handle things the same way in bed.
You squeezed around him. “Please,” You whimpered.
“Go ahead.” Those two words were all you needed, allowing yourself to scream out as your orgasm ripped through you, built up again and again and now it was finally here and it was amazing. It rippled through you like shockwaves, and made you go limp under him, legs completely boneless. Ben didn’t let up as he rode through your orgasm, keeping the same pace with you. He was unforgiving, not giving you time to adjust and instantly making you feel the feeling of overstimulation. You were so sensitive to his cock ramming in and out of you that you could feel a second orgasm already building up.
The tip of him hit a particularly nice spot in you and you yelled, curling your toes and your hands came to tangle and grip in his hair. You almost stopped for a moment thinking that you were hurting him, but when you looked at his face, you saw only fucked out bliss, white incisors showing in a ravenous grin. His eyes opened and they were almost fully dark, making you shiver.
You opened your mouth to speak but was halted by two of his fingers shoving their way into your mouth. It was harsh, but in a good way, your insides burning up as your second orgasm washed over you, sucking on his two fingers as they made your moans muffled.
“You feel so good. You’re so fucking tight,” He mumbled, as though he was talking to himself. He was completely thrown into the pleasure that you were giving him, hot and warm and just perfect, like you were made for his cock to be rammed into over and over again. “Made for me, all for me.” He used your past words, them never losing their meaning no matter how many times he muttered under his breath.
Time seemed to slow and grow faster at the same time, the whole room disappearing as both of you focused on only each other. You weren’t sure how many times he had made you cum at this point, you took whatever he gave you and took it well. When you got enough strength to crane your neck down, you watched as your hole enveloped his cock, it coming back out slicked with the remnants of your past orgasms. Ben saw where your eyesight was and a sense of pride washed over him again. “Do you like watching that? Seeing how well you take me?” He asked, egging you on. His hand went to grab your own and placed it on your lower abdomen, and you could feel the skin slightly raising up every time he went into you. You could see it too, sliding in and out.
Though, even if he didn’t want to admit it to himself, his movements were beginning to falter. He was becoming more sloppy with his hips and you knew he was about to cum. So, to give him what he had worked for, you wiggled your hips up, matching his hips. Your oversensitive clit rubbed against the base of his cock and you were clenching around him, and as if on cue, you were cumming again, feeling weak under him. Ben wrapped his arms around you and pulled you up, his cock splitting you open until he was spilling inside of you.
The moans that left his mouth were probably the hottest things you had ever felt in your life. You could feel his cum dripping down his cock, coating your thighs and dripping onto the soiled sheets. He put you down on the bed and followed you, eyes watching your own and kissing your sweaty forehead. He finally stopped moving and stilled inside, not wanting to leave you and go back to the way things had been before. He didn’t want to leave this moment and neither did you.
Because both of you knew when you were both cleaned up, you would have to come to terms with what was happening.
So you stayed there with him, letting his cock stay inside of you and whispering sweet nothings into his ear, words of praise were exchanged. How good he had been, how good you made him feel … Anything that both of you could think of to keep the moment from ending.

Five: A weakness that'll prove fruitless if death approaches.
Y/N *full on sobbing and hugging him*
Klaus *awkward* :You may now kiss the bride?¿
Diego: wtf, is going on?
*Everyone else shrugs*

╭─► ❝The Servant: Umbrella Academy's Servant❞
Five Hargreeves × Female! Reader || Written by Diana (d1ana-m0nd)
Tumblr media
➢ Description : It's a well known fact that Sir. Reginald Hargreeves adopted 7 children to save the world from it's impending doom. Though, the number of children will change from 7 to 8 once a close friend of his, Rita Rossweisse was on her death bed and requested him to take in her child, who fortunately was born on October 1st 1989.
➢ Word Count : 9,537
➢ Links : Masterlist && Character Profile
➢ Note : I just wanted to give a heads up for people who like Luther, he's going to be a bit antagonistic towards the reader because she's an accomplice. Also, in S1 of TUA, the writers' focused on his mission driven trait which led to a snowball effect on his decisions and how he treated others (ex: Vanya), though that does not mean I will be writing him off as an antagonist throughout the whole series, just this season since he is still learning and growing. I mean no harm Luther simps / stans / fans. 🏳️
Also, it's been three years since I have done Wushu (Chinese martial arts) so the fighting scene might be crappy. It will be inaccurate as well since I never reached orange belt lol, I just watched YouTube videos of Agatha Wong and other Wushu martial artists. ;-;

Chapter 3: Extra Ordinary
Blue light streamed through the window as Allison sat on the windowsill, a cigarette in hand; she took in the scenery from the place she once considered home. The sound of car horns beeping accompanied the lively city atmosphere, whilst the lights of the streetlamps came off harshly. Oddly enough, this loud environment felt homely to her. The rumor inhaled the cigarette then exhaled it, letting the flares of the smoke blow out the window. She let herself be more immersed to the atmosphere, which led her unaware of someone else's presence in the room.
"Ah, Miss Allison." The advanced chimpanzee announced his arrival. Allison hurriedly put out the cigarette, leading it to fizzle out. She faced Pogo with a sheepish smile, as though she was not caught red-handed.
"I was looking for you." Pogo returned her smile, then took a small step towards her.
"How did you, uh… did you know I was up here?" The rumor scratched her nape. She really wasn't expecting anyone to walk in on her smoking and emoting to herself.
"Oh, it wasn't hard. This is always where you used to come when you were upset."
"Who told you I was…" The girl in curls paused, then sighed as a certain someone came to mind.
"Luther." She said fiddling with the aged locket that was given to her by the same person.
"Actually, it was Miss Vanya."
Allison was taken aback by his words. Vanya… cared about her? For a moment, she felt regret come over her because her sibling went out of her way to check on her… then she recalled the book. The rumor would have openly showed her grimace at the thought of her sister but, Pogo’s next words took her by surprise.
"She called to make sure you were okay and if it weren't for Y/N reminding me, I would have forgotten to check in on you." Pogo said with a small smile, as though he was silently thanking the girls for caring about Allison's well being.
The girl in curls stood up from the windowsill as she inhaled deeply, stuffing her hands into her pocket. "Yeah, I, um… said some pretty unkind things to her." Though it sounded like she said it out of defeat.
The well dressed chimpanzee frowned at her words, but tried to be optimistic. "She's your sister. She knows you didn't mean it."
Allison scoffed as she looked away. "Doubt it. She doesn't know anything about me, which is fine, cause I don't know shit about her either."
"Language." Pogo said which brought a small smile to the rumor's face followed by a soft chuckle. "Sorry."
"It's just…" The woman breathed through her nose. "It's been a while since we've all lived under the same roof."
"Almost 13 years." He added, which added onto the emotional baggage that Allison was carrying at the moment.
"How did you do it? Alone in this huge house for so long?"
"Well, one grows used to things, even if, sometimes… one shouldn't." The chimpanzee looked away, not wanting to give away the sadness in his eyes.
Wanting to divert the young lass’ attention to something else, Pogo decided it would be a great time to bring her over the CCTV room and to follow through with Master Hargreeves’ plan till the truth is finally revealed.
"Come with me. I want to show you something. It might just cheer you up." The advanced chimpanzee was about to head out the room but he suddenly turned to where Allison stamped out the cigarette earlier. "And make sure you fully extinguished that cigarette. Wouldn't want to start a fire."
The girl in curls chuckles to herself as she now recalled Pogo never lets his guard down, it’s almost like nothing goes under his radar, he acted more father-like than their own father. She then quickly extinguishes the fire and hurriedly catches up with Pogo. The two walked side by side towards the CCTV room, and entered the room together.
The chimpanzee approached the monitors and turned them on to show the familiar memories the academy created back in their youth. "Your father stopped recording years ago. But, I still come here from time to time. When I'm missing you kids."
"Pogo, this is…" The woman was too stunned to speak but she managed to choke out a few words. "Most families have home movies to look back on. We have surveillance footage."
"I hoped it might cheer you up."
"It does…" Allison laughed, letting her guard down and allowed her inner child to be lured in by the memories being replayed by the monitors.
Suddenly, Allison's gaze turns to a monitor of Vanya playing the violin as a smaller Y/N sat beside the violinist cheering her on, though it looked like Vanya wore a fake smile accepting every compliment you gave her.
"And Vanya…" Her smile fell. Vanya was telling the truth.
"Why didn't we include her? I mean, if anybody ever treated Claire like that, I can't even imagine…"
"You were a child, Miss Allison." Pogo pointed out but Allison rebutted. "Yeah… but I'm not anymore and neither is she."
"If you're not in a hurry. The rest of the tapes are in that cabinet." The advanced chimpanzee gestured to the nearby cabinet, while his other hand took out the keys and left it on the table. "Make sure you lock up when you go."
"Things have been disappearing lately. These are too important to lose." He added as Allison softly chuckled at his words. She has a feeling, she knows who might be responsible for it.
Whilst she was busy reminiscing, Pogo stood beside her, double checking at the breadcrumbs he left. He needed the secrets to be unraveled as soon as possible, he can only pray it wouldn’t be too late. The chimpanzee took one last look at Allison then left the room.
Once he left, the woman in curls rummaged through the tapes and found a tape that stood out. It was oddly placed, it even seemed like that it was purposely placed there. She played the footage not expecting much. To her surprise, her expectations were surpassed by the content of the footage.
Her eyes widened, then she straightened herself. "Oh, God. Dad…"
Allison paused the tape, without hesitation, she began to frantically look for Luther in the academy. She checked from door to door only to be frustrated that Luther wasn’t home. She was about to give up until she heard the front door open then ran - more like fast walking - to where the footsteps came from.
The woman in curls grabbed onto Luther’s arm. "There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you."
"What are you still doing here? I thought you were gone." He raised his brow in her presence.
"No, I was gonna go, and then Pogo showed me this -"
"Well, listen…" The larger male interrupted her with a defeated sigh. "I was wrong about Dad's death."
The woman was astonished by his words, it wasn’t like him. "What?"
"Yeah. I was wrong about Diego. You know, to accuse my own brother of that is just-"
"No, I, I know, I get it." The rumor tried to cut in but got interfered once again.
"- Seeing all of you and being back here… I should be the one who's trying to bring us back together, not tear us apart." Spaceboy said but it more or less it sounded like he was talking to himself in the mirror.
"Would you shut up?!" Allison shouted angrily.
"What?"
"You were right, about Dad." She stated, now it was the male’s turn to be confused by the sudden turn of events.
"Come on, I gotta show you something."
Even though the larger male was silent, she took his arm and guided him to the CCTV room. As they head to the CCTV room, they happen to passby Y/N and Five. Luther and Allison checked on you guys - since you guys looked kinda messed up - but Five had a sudden outburst and you had to make random excuses to bring him to his room, whilst juggling to not drop Delores. Once they were a bit far, Luther finally had the courage to speak up.
"Does Y/N having a mannequin have something to do with whatever you were going to show me?" He asked.
To which Allison threw a look at his direction. "No, and I have no idea where she got that. All I know is she's been glued to Five's side since he got back."
Once they had arrived, the rumor was quick to replay the footage. Luther couldn’t believe what he was watching. At first he was in denial but, as he replayed the clip again and again, he was able to digest the information but he still doesn’t understand… Why would their mother - er robot, rather, “Grace” kill their father? He kept replaying the scene trying to understand what occurred during the night of the murder but, got no answers in the end.
"Play it again." Number one ordered again…
Allison had to refrain herself from rolling her eyes because of how mind numbing it was to replay the same scene over and over again.
"We've watched it over and over, it's the same thing every time." She pointed out.
Luther sighs, she wasn’t wrong, they weren’t getting answers. Reluctantly, the rumor rewind the clip, the VCR whirred indicating it was being replayed.
"Er… what is she doing?" He asked, gesturing towards Grace on the monitor.
"The tea. Did she poison him?"
"Uh- I don't know." The woman in curly hair uncrossed her arms, unsure of what she was witnessing.
The larger male sighed exasperated then turned his gaze towards hers. "Where did you find this?" He gestured to the footage.
Allison stopped leaning against the cabinet then sat on the chair beside Luther's side, "I was looking at old footage of us as kids, and I just saw the footage sitting there."
"Yeah, Dad must have started using the security system again." There was a pregnant pause present in the room.
"He was getting more and more paranoid. He thought people were out to get him." He muttered, recalling the call he had with his dad a month prior.
Back then, He didn’t think much of it but it did worry him that Grace and Y/N weren’t taking care of him. However, after calling Y/N, he felt reassured by her words and assumed that their father was just becoming paranoid for nothing. Now, he regrets taking his words for granted.
"Well… I guess maybe he was right."
"But Mom?" Allison refused to accept this.
"I mean she's not capable of…" She gestured to the footage but as her eyes landed the footage she began to have second thoughts, she sighs. "Is she?"
Suddenly, a memory from the funeral played in Luther’s head.
"Then there's the issue of the missing monocle." The ape hybrid added to his conspiracy. Even though it was silent, you could hear the others internally groaning as more words came out of his mouth.
"Y/N, while you were cleaning up Dad's room, was the monocle still there?"
"Last night I wasn't assigned to give him medicine, it was Mrs. Grace's turn. So I can't be too sure if he wore the monocle. Though the crime scene cleaners and investigators did let me know that they made sure to keep everything in the same spot." You reported, as your thinking pose shifted into your default one.
"Make sure to check the cameras around the time they were cleaning." He commanded, you bowed in return to confirm you will do as he says.
Spaceboy’s eyes widened at the revelation… What if…
"Where was Y/N last night? Why didn't she inform me about the footage?" He bombarded.
"I already told you! Ever since Five came back she's been stuck to his side." The rumor answered not catching onto Luther’s wavelength.
"But, it doesn't make sense, she had the time to check the footage whilst they were preparing the funeral, and didn’t Pogo and her switch shifts in monitoring the CCTVs?”
Suddenly, Allison went silent, as she began to piece the puzzles and see where Luther was coming from, now that he pointed that out, Y/N could be a possible suspect and lately, she has been avoiding the academy for days, ever since Five came back, she could be using him as her alibi. Which makes her even more suspicious but she highly doubts she has something to do with it murdering their father.
After all, it is a well known fact that the servant has always been neutral, that’s why she is given a number that is neither a prime nor an odd number. It would be rare of her to step out of line. Plus, she only does what needs to be done, she wouldn’t do anything if it wasn’t under someone’s orders.
ㅤㅤㅤ❲ T H E ☕ S E R V A N T ❳
It was silent as the duo- trio rather, headed to Five’s room. Five’s head was flooded with ways on how he should retrieve the information to stop the apocalypse with Delores’ assistance. While Y/N’s head was filled with questions for Five, you wanted to ask him questions about the masked people and the people who tried to shoot them down at the doughnut shop but it didn’t feel like the right time to do so.
If only Five was open with you as he was to Vanya then you wouldn’t be reluctant to ask him questions… The only good thing that came out of this was that he trusted you enough to keep you around which made it easier to monitor him.
Once the three entered his room, you placed Delores on a nearby chair as Five stumbled his way to the bed. He fell face first onto the pillow; It sounded like a fart but you had to keep your lips pressed into a thin line or he’d bark at you. To distract yourself from laughing, you glanced at the mannequin, expecting it to do something. Alas, it did nothing but look into where it was painted to look at.
"It might be of use later…” You told yourself but you highly doubted it would be more useful than you.
The servant sighed then turned her gaze towards the boy. “Master Five, let me patch you up.”
“No, I can deal with this myself, I’ll just sleep it off.” He shrugged you off.
Unfortunately for him, you were determined, the look on your face supported that notion. “I’m afraid I won’t allow that. Your wound might get infected if you neglect it. Plus, seeing as you are hell bent on avoiding others, I am the only one who you can order around who wouldn’t try to look over your shoulder.”
Five’s thin lips were ready to bare the teeth that were hidden underneath his lips but his mind intervened before he could do so. You had a point, even though you were unexpectedly dragged into this, you could be of use to him -
"Hey, you know, I've just now realized why you're so uptight. You must be horny as hell!" He laughed then added, "All those years by yourself. It's gonna screw with your head being alone."
"If you want to let the stress out, why not ask Y/N for help?"
"Y/N seems like she'd be good in bed, if you're the type to have a corruption kink and all. I wouldn't be surprised if you have one because you seem the type-" Klaus snapped his finger, "And, andd~! She wouldn't get arrested for dating you."
Warmth creeped onto Five’s cheeks as he recalled Klaus’ words from earlier. He was lucky that his face fell first, you wouldn’t be able to see how much you - correction, how much Klaus’ words affected him. In case his ears were reddening as well, he decided to bury his face further into the pillow to hide it but it was a poor attempt on his part.
“Do whatever you want.” His words were muffled by the pillow.
“What?” You asked, unable to hear his words.
The brown haired boy sat up and glared at your direction, which made you regret your words. “Do whatever you want but don't even think of watching me sleep.”
You nodded then, left his room to go get the first aid kit from the infirmary. Which made the boy sigh in relief then returned to lying on the bed but, this time he made sure to avoid lying on his injured side. As he stared into space, he began to silently plan out how he would get more information only to be disturbed by his beloved, Delores.
“Others would take a rest the moment their body hits the mattress yet, here you are letting your thoughts consume you rather than exhaustion.” Delores mused as she laughed at Five's situation.
“I assumed you would be grateful that I took the time to take you out for a stroll. That was no easy task.” The boy retorted, he knew she was going to piss him off for fun, she’s always been like that since they got together.
“Yeah I am grateful but, I would rather get to know my in-laws than be stuck in this room all day.” The mannequin teased with a knowing smirk, she knew Five was easy to play with when he's needy for someone's attention.
“Getting tired of me already? I thought you loved me.” The brown haired boy joked with a grin on his face. It was a rare sight that only Delores got to witness more often than the others.
“I do love you but, I recall you numerous times telling me off that I shouldn’t disturb you when you’re at ‘work’.” She rebutted which made her beloved chuckle in response.
“Smartass.”
“Master Five is everything alright?” You tilted your head, confused by what you had just walked in. The brunette was talking to someone just earlier…
“Oh! Is she the one you mentioned that’s always stuck by Vanya’s side?” Delores was ecstatic to finally meet one of the people Five grew up with. Even though he wasn't fond of you, Delores grew to love you whenever you were brought up with Vanya. She thought you both had a cute dynamic.
The physically young man wordlessly nodded to Delores, which you mistook as him saying that everything was alright. Assuming that everything was alright, you were quick to settle down by his bed and prepared what you needed: bandages, a surgical needle, a synthetic suture, a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, a clean washcloth along with a small bowl of lukewarm water. Once prepared, you took care of his injured side. The room was silent as the boy let out small huffs and your breathing were the only thing audible but, Five was hearing other things besides your breathing.
"Sweetheart, why don't you introduce me to her? I'd love to get to know her. She seems like a nice girl." The mannequin requested.
The brunette could not tell if she was trying to press his buttons or not. They both knew perfectly well that Delores trying to interact with others would just cause confusion but, his beloved is quite a chatterbox. Five might as well play along, or she would make his ears bleed from constant pleading. The thought of doing so made him roll his eyes, which you caught.
Thinking you did something wrong, you raised a question. "Did I do something wrong, Master Five?"
"Nothing, Delores wants to get to know you." He reassured, as an imaginary grin on Delores’ face grew. If you were not so observant, he would have thrown a quick glare in the mannequin’s direction for her cheekiness.
The mannequin bursted out laughing which made the brown-haired male flustered. "AHAHAHA! We've been together for 31 years and I never knew you had this kink."
"Oh right!" The servant was weirded out by this. You knew that you had to play along if you didn’t want to be torn apart. "I didn't introduce myself. Hi Ms. Delores, I'm Y/N, also referred to as Number Zero."
"I won't lie, she is very adorable. I can see why you'd want to keep her around." Dolores added, a finger ghosting on her cheek that complimented that cheeky grin of hers.
"I'm not keeping her." He hissed at Dolores.
You didn't know what he meant by that so you ignored it, and decided to ask another question. "So uh, what did Ms. Delores say?"
"She said that you seem like someone she'd hang around." The boy lied through his teeth but the blush across his face said otherwise.
"That is a complete 180 from what I said Five~" The mannequin sang then giggled.
For a moment, the room went silent, you were busy with Five's wounds whilst the boy was busy keeping his eyes on the mannequin. Dolores watched from her chair, as though taunting the brunette. The silence was comfortable at first but then it began to grow awkward because it felt like you had to do something to fill in the silence.
Out of nowhere, you blurted out a stupid question. "So, Ms. Dolores, do you like cooking?"
The moment you were able to process what you just blurted out, you wanted to smash yourself into a bloody wall. How could you be so stupid? Who in their right mind would ask if a mannequin - a flammable object, mind you - if it loved to cook. Even if it did, how was it supposed to cook? It would make sense if you were asking a robot or an advanced mammal - actually, anything that is capable of mimicking human behavior - but, of all things you just had to ask, you asked a flammable object if it liked to cook!? You were on the verge of running away at this point and let Five deal with his injury.
"Is she serious?" Dolores asked, surprised by what she heard as well.
Five didn't know what to say to his beloved. Trying to look for confirmation of your sincerity, he turned to you and saw that you were covering your face out of embarrassment. It was kinda cute. Watching the usually blank-faced girl wear a different expression… it made you more human rather than a puppet that the other's usually claimed you to be.
To the other numbers (Five was no exception), the servant seemed inhumane, too perfect to be human, you were practically a doll. If we are talking about what kind of doll would describe you, then "barbie" would be a suitable description. A doll that every girl dreamed to be, a doll that was suitable for every job it came across.
However their assumption of you changed when they noticed the cracks you were trying to hide from them, like how you stiffened and forced yourself to smile despite the insults being hurled at you, how you did want to go against their father but decided against it because of hesitance, and how you try your best to not cry or scream whenever their father needed your blood or for experimentation.
You were just as messed up as them…
From that point on, they recognized that it didn't feel right to label you as a doll. Though it didn't diminish the fact that you acted like a puppet, how you wouldn't act unless someone pulled the strings, how you mimicked others to look natural, and how you spoke like it came out from a script instead of saying what you actually think or feel.
Though, Five supposes this is the reason why you were given the "Number 0", it is neither even or odd. A number that represents balance, you stood on neither side, you were just someone who’s responsible for neutralizing issues before things could escalate. Strangely enough, despite you trying to act normal, you were the one that stood out among the dysfunctional family, because of how mentally unaffected you were by the household. Even Vanya had difficulty expressing her anger for you in her memoir.
Whilst the two numbers were busy with their own thoughts, someone was watching the scenery before her, amused by the silence that settled within the room.
The mannequin internally laughed at what she was witnessing. She found it rather ironic that despite Five being blunt about his distaste for you, you kept chasing him and made sure if he was alright. It was even more hilarious that he was beginning to open up to you but his hostility is still present. He hated you, you disliked him yet, you both cared for each other in your own way.
Even though she didn't have a heart, she felt envious of you. To be able to hold Five, to be able to run after him, to be able to stop him from overworking. You had everything Dolores wanted. But, alas, those are merely musings of a soulless husk.
Although this was an unspoken truth, Five knew his beloved "Dolores" wasn't real, she was merely something that manifested out of thin air because he wanted to keep himself sane during the apocalypse. She even recalled that time when some people from the commission found out about Dolores' existence, and they judged Five's mental state for it, even though Five acted like it was nothing, She was worried for him. They both knew it was the truth but he refused to acknowledge the reality of her existence.
Putting aside her jealousy, the mannequin was glad that despite all the weirdness Five carried, he found someone who did try to understand him. The thought of your open-mindedness and kindness warmed Dolores' non-existent heart.
"Thanks." Five broke the silence, his gaze elsewhere.
"Huh?" You tilted your head, not expecting his words.
"I know you heard me, don't make me say it twice or I'll give you a reason to be deaf." The brunette threatened, usually his threats would make you flinch but, this time it made you smile, not a forced one.
Your genuine smile went unnoticed but the tone of your voice didn't fail to express your sincerity. "You're welcome, Five."
The boy froze up as he realized you were calling him by his name again. He didn't know whether to call you out on it or just let it go… In the end, he failed to notice you had already left his side.
"I didn't think you'd warm up to her considering you told me how much you disliked her." The mannequin teased a knowing look on her face.
The brunette merely rolled his eyes at her then laid down on the bed, avoiding to ruin the stitches you made. "She's one of the tolerable ones, I have no choice."
Dolores smiled to herself knowing that was a lie.
ㅤㅤㅤ❲ T H E ☕ S E R V A N T ❳
The next day, both the boy and the girl exited the house through the fire exit, with Dolores carefully placed into the duffle bag along with alcohol. The seance noticed you guys sneaking out and tried to join in but Five declined his offer. As Klaus was busy whining about how much he loved his 'little brother', you managed to hijack a nearby van and let Five drive to his desired location while you sat at the back with Dolores.
The brunette parked the van in front of the prosthetics building, watching people come and go while he fiddled with the glass eyeball in his hand. He mindlessly watched as a woman walked past the stolen van whilst a group of children played ball.
Seeing normalcy made Five sigh, he was envious of those people. People who lived a normal life had it better than him. He could not stop the feeling of envy creeping up on him. After all, they didn't have to worry about putting their lives on the line for others. Unlike them, the boy grew up in a dysfunctional household and got thrusted into the apocalypse at a young age. He was forced to grow up early and prioritize his life over others, which went against the old man's teachings.
As Five was busy with his own demons, he didn't notice you had let in uninvited guests.
You were bored out of your mind, and began to look out the window in hopes of finding something interesting, until you saw a familiar lanky figure heading towards the van. It was Klaus heading towards the van with Luther in tow, you opened the back door and waved at them to come in.
The lanky man skipped his way to the backdoor and began conversing with Dolores. As you tried your best to stop him from harassing it - because you had a feeling Five would rip him to pieces.
"I didn't think I would find a beauty like you in here." The seance whispered into Dolores' ear.
"Master Klaus you shouldn't-"
"Shh shh, let her speak." He said as he caressed the mannequin's cheek, even though it didn't say a word, Klaus giggled and started cradling Dolores in his arms.
"Does everyone in the Hargreeves family like talking to non-living things or something?" You questioned yourself as you bit the inside of your cheek.
At the front of the truck, it seemed like Luther was planning to sit in the passenger seat but it was locked. You unlocked the door for him since Five was unresponsive. You silently watched as the larger male struggled to enter the van due to his frame.
Suddenly, the brunette in the driver's seat screamed.
“No!” Five's scream caught you and Spaceboy's attention, you hurriedly went to his side and rubbed the small of his back.
“Five.” You murmured not wanting to overwhelm him with loud sounds.
“Five!” Luther called out, the volume of his voice made you flinch and cover the ear he screamed at.
“Hey Five!” The male shouted once again yet, it wasn't effective.
“NO!” The younger male screamed as he grabbed onto his hair whilst his eyes widened in fear, his breathing becoming ragged.
“Five!” You shook Five awake as the larger male shouted his brother's name like a mantra, trying to bring back the boy into reality.
When the brunette finally calmed down, you continued rubbing his back, concern etched into your features. “Are you alright, Master Five?”
He disregarded your words as he began to process the uninvited guest that sat on the passenger seat, "You shouldn’t be… How did you find me?”
“Um…” Space boy gestured to Klaus, who sat at the back of the van, cradling Five's beloved in his arms.
The seance murmured, “Hey baby…”
Once the lanky man noticed everyone's eyes were on him, he shooed away their lingering gazes. “Hey, a little privacy, guys. We’re really hitting it off back here.”
Out of irritation, the boy throws the nearest object at Klaus. The lanky man screamed and used the mannequin as a shield, in an attempt to protect himself. Luckily, you caught the object before Klaus got injured and threw Five a side eye, which made him roll his eyes.
“Get out! You can’t be here! I’m in the middle of something." The physically younger male hissed at his barely sober brother.
The seance dismissed his threat and approached his brothers who sat at the front of the van. “Any luck finding out your one-eyed man?”
“No.” Five whispered, internally groaning at the fact he even trusted his idiot of a brother with the secret of the apocalypse.
“What’s he talking about?” Luther brought up with a raised brow.
“Does it matter? It’s Klaus.” The boy quickly shot down.
At first, Klaus looked hurt but, he redirected his gaze to the larger male as though silently asking Luther to defend him but, nothing came out of Spaceboy's mouth. Defeated, the seance breathed through his nose and acted as though he wasn't hurt. Out of pity, you rubbed his back.
The small brunette sighed, “What do you want, Luther?”
“So…” Dirty blond male cautiously glanced at you, “So, Grace may have something to do with Dad’s death.” He paused and glanced at you again trying to read if you have a reaction. “I need you to come back to the academy, all right? It’s important.”
"Is something on my face?" You asked yourself as you started to feel your face if there was a bloodstain you forgot to wipe away from Five's wounds.
“It’s important.” Five mocked his brother’s words then scoffed. “You have no concept of what’s important.”
“Hey!” Klaus interrupted, “Did I ever tell you guys about the time I waxed my ass with chocolate pudding?”
The lanky man laughed his stomach out, sadly, the others weren't laughing along with him. “It was so painful!”
Luther and Five grimaced at their brother's words, while you looked at the seance as though he had committed a sin. Despite everyone's obvious disgust, someone else - besides Klaus - managed to laugh because of his shenanigans, it was Five. You witnessed the boy turn his head then hid his giggle underneath his breath. It was oddly adorable.
“What are you still doing here?” The larger man scrunched up his brows, his gaze on Klaus.
“I- What? I need an excuse to hang out with my family?” Klaus placed a hand on his chest, offended by the other male's choice of words.
“We’re trying to have a serious conversation here.”
“What, and I’m incapable of being serious? Is that what you’re saying?”
At this point, you couldn't help but frown and feel bad for Klaus. No one in the family took him seriously just like how they treated Vanya. He acts as though he isn't bothered but, you know it hurts him, just as much as how the others treated Vanya differently.
“Luther’s got a point, you should get out.” Five added.
“What?!"
Reluctantly, the lanky man crawls out of the van murmuring how it was unfair. Once he got out of the van, he screamed “FINE!” then slammed the door closed.
"I- I should go after Master Klaus…" You said quietly then followed Klaus to the convenience store. You had a feeling he'd cause trouble and it would be best someone would be there to prevent it.
Once you and Klaus left, the atmosphere in the van became tense. The unspoken rivalry, rather, the one sided rivalry between Luther and Five was becoming more evident to the naked eye. Since you left, Luther felt like he could finally bring up his suspicion of you to Five.
“What the hell are you up to?” Luther questioned whilst he observed the seance and the servant head to the convenience store together.
“You wouldn’t understand.” The younger male stated, his eyes narrowing at the prosthetics building across them.
“Try me. Last I checked, I’m still the leader of this family.”
“Well, last I checked. I’m 18 years older than you.”
The larger man inhaled deeply then turned to his 'younger' brother. “You know what your problem is?”
“Really hoping you’ll tell me.” Five sarcastically remarked, his hazel eyes never leaving the building across the van.
“You think you’re better than us. You always have. Even when we were kids. But the truth is, you’re just as messed up as the rest of us. We’re all you have and you know it.”
The brunette lets out a dejected sigh. “I don’t think I’m better than you, Number One. I know I am.”
Spaceboy chuckled at his words, Five just proved his point.
“I’ve done unimaginable things, things you couldn’t even comprehend.” the boy pointed out as his grip on the steering wheel tightened but it came off as an exaggeration to Luther, “Right…”
“Just to get back here and save you all.” Five added.
Unexpectedly, the convenience store from across the street was experiencing a commotion, catching the passersby's attention along with Five and Luther's. Out came Klaus carrying a huge amount of food in his arms followed by the security guard screaming for him to halt.
“Whoa!” The seance runs with the food he shoplifted as the security ran after him.
One of the security guards screamed with a baton in hand. “Stop!”
“Hey! Stop right now!”
The lanky man waves at the van, some of the food he stole fell behind. Due to his carelessness, he almost gets run over by a taxi, luckily it stopped halfway, though he managed to narrowly dodge the vehicle.
As for you, you were held back at the convenience store as you paid for the food your master shoplifted. You internally grumbled about regretting ever feeling pity for him and how you should have known he would have pulled a stunt like this.
After that whole fiasco, Luther was about to leave the van until he remembered something he had been planning to tell Five once you weren't around.
"Since you don't plan on showing up to the family meeting, I'll give you a heads up, Y/N might have something to do with dad's death." Luther said, his back against the boy.
Five's eyes widened and his grip on the steering wheel tightened as the puzzles in his head began to fall into pieces. "You have nothing to worry about. I've dealt with people like her."
ㅤㅤㅤ❲ T H E ☕ S E R V A N T ❳
Luther and Allison gathered every family member in the living room, except Five since he was being stubborn. The monitor that he and Allison were playing with last night, currently sat on the bar, the video tape already in it. All he needed to do was play the footage…
The large male took in a deep breath then played it. The monitor replayed the night of the murder, Grace was taking care of the Monocle's needs, suddenly he started twitching and fell on his back, amidst him experiencing a heart attack, Ms. Grace did nothing but look down at him instead of doing what she was programmed to do.
The whole room went silent, Luther observed the other's reactions and noticed that only Vanya and Klaus were mortified. Number one expected that he and Allison were the only ones who wouldn't be surprised but you and Diego didn't seem surprised by the footage. Diego seemed a little too satisfied whilst you looked away from the monitor.
The dirty blond male narrowed his brows, "Suspicious."
“I mean, do you really think that mom would hurt Dad?”, Vanya broke the silence.
“You haven’t been home in a long time, Vanya. Maybe you don’t know Grace anymore.”
“If he was poisoned, it would have shown up in the coroner’s report.” Diego remarked with a matter of factly tone.
“Well, I don’t need a report to tell me what I can see with my own eyes.”
“Maybe all that low gravity in space messed with your head.” The lad in black leather approached the monitor and replayed the footage. “Dad has his monocle. Grace stands up. Monocle’s gone.”
Klaus laughed, “Oh, yeah!”
The Latino turns his back, “She wasn’t poisoning him. She was… taking the monocle, to clean it.”
“Then where is it?”
Everyone went silent not having an answer to that question. You, even as an accomplice, didn't even know where it was. You were pretty sure disposing of the monocle was not part of the plan…
“No, I’ve searched the whole house, including her things. She doesn’t have it.”
The kraken looked down as he took out his knife and fidgeted with it, till his eyes met Luther's. “That’s because I took it from her. After the funeral.”
“You’ve had the monocle this whole time? What the hell, Diego!” Allison exclaimed.
“Give it to me.” Luther commanded, taking a few strides towards Diego, his hand out awaiting for the monocle to be returned.
“I threw it away.”
The rumor scoffed at her brother's admission.
“You what? ” Number one’s voice boomed.
“Look, I knew that if you found it on Mom, you’d lose your shit. Just like you are doing right now.” The latino menacingly pointed at Spaceboy's direction with the pointed edge of his dagger.
“Diego, you son of a bitch.” Luther walks over to Number two but Vanya interrupts him before another fight starts, you mirror her actions as well and walk in front of Diego to prevent him from doing anything reckless.
“Hey. no. calm down.” Vanya said, “Look, I know dad wasn’t exactly an open book. But, I do remember one thing. He said Mom was, well, designed to be a caretaker but also as a protector.”
“Well, if her hardware is degrading, then… We need to turn her off.”
"Oh no." You thought. This was definitely not part of Mr. Hargreeves' plan.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. She’s not just a vacuum you can throw into a closet. She feels things, I’ve seen it.” The kraken angrily said as his glare hardened, along with the finger pointing becoming more abundant.
“She stood there, and watched our father die.” The dirty blond male pointed out as he gestured to the footage.
“I’m with Luther.”
“Surprise, surprise.” Diego sarcastically retorted.
“Shut up.” The rumor barked back.
Suddenly, the whole room looked at Vanya, expecting an answer out of her. “I- I don't-”
"Yeah, she shouldn't get a vote." Diego interrupted her before she could decide but Vanya snapped back at him. "I was gonna say that I agree with you."
"Okay. She should get a vote."
The Latino turned to Klaus, "What about you, stoner boy? What are you thinking?"
"Oh, so, what? Do you need my help now? Oh 'Get out of the van, Klaus!', 'Well, welcome back to the van.' -
"What van?" The woman in curls interjected, not following through with this whole van thing. Fortunately for her, she wasn't alone as Vanya didn't know what the van metaphor was for.
The large male released a sigh and changed the topic, "What's it gonna be Klaus?"
“I’m with Diego because screw you Luther! And if Ben were here, he'd agree with me." The lanky man replied while looking Luther in the eye, as though to intimidate him.
"So, that's three to two."
"Vote's not final yet." The actress stated which caused the whole room to raise eyebrows.
"What?"
"Five's not here." She pointed out. You could hear everyone - except Luther who was silently thanking her - internally groan at her words. At this point, she was just stalling!
The lad in black leather scoffed and then argued, "You really think Five would show up to something as stupid as this?"
"Why don't we just let Y/N vote for him?" Klaus suggested as he pushed you forward like a sacrificial lamb.
"Master Klaus, I'm afraid I can't do that-"
"She doesn't have a say in this." You stiffened at Luther's words, "I don't like the sound of that."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean? That she is not one of us? She is treated like an experiment and got traumatized because of that bastard! How is she any different from us?" Diego fought back on your steed, while you looked at him like he had grown another head.
"Because we-"
"Just you, Luther." Allison corrected, looking away from the scene before her.
"I think she might be an accomplice in Dad's death." The larger male finished her sentence which made the living room feel unwelcoming as dead silence followed.
The Latino scoffed then taunted the big man, "I'm surprised your mouth hasn't retired from carrying all that shit your ass couldn't handle."
"And here we go again." The rumor muttered under her breath.
Luther ignored his brother's taunts and began providing arguments, "During dad's funeral, Y/N was supposed to check on the footage and report to me if there was anything suspicious but she didn't inform me."
"That's because I was with Five, I'm supposed to be watching over him in case the effects of time traveling were kicking in." You hurriedly replied which unknowingly raised suspicion in Luther's eyes.
"Didn't you and Pogo switch shifts whilst monitoring the CCTVs?"
"Yes but, I didn't have time to check on the tapes-"
"You didn't have time yet the tape was conveniently placed on top of the cabinet." The dirty blond male pointed out, your eyes widened in fear because you didn't know how to defend yourself… You felt helpless.
You were well aware that you were not the one who placed the tape there, so it could have been Pogo. As much as you would love to defend yourself, you couldn't exactly speak out either since this would ruin the plan but you were itching to stand up for yourself. In the end, you sucked it up and didn't say a word.
"You even told me that I should 'broaden your scope, especially your list of suspects'. " Luther's eyes felt like lasers being burned through your skull.
You gulped, looking down at your feet as your tears were ready to cascade down your cheeks. You even regretted leaving those clues for him because you didn't think you would be put into this position, "I- I was… I was trying to cheer you up…"
"Is that the only excuse you can come up with?" Luther scoffed, he almost sounded like his father… It scares you.
"Vanya, please keep an eye on Y/N for now." The larger male ordered the petite woman.
Desperately, you walked up to him, "I know it looks bad but, Can I at least attempt to get Five back? His decision might help finalize what to do with Ms. Grace."
"His decision won't save you."
At this point, you were trembling. The ringing in your ears became louder, your mind zoning out until you felt a hand on your shoulder, you turned to see it was Klaus wearing a reassuring smile though it didn't do much.
"That's enough Luther, you're scaring her." Allison finally stepped in.
The violinist approached your side cautiously then gently whispered, "Y/N, I believe it's best you listen to Luther for now."
"For now, let's wait for Five to return. The whole family has to vote. We owe each other that." The rumor ended the discussion and everyone began to part their ways.
Once Vanya finished conversing with Diego about Ms. Grace, she - gently - took you by your wrist and headed to your room. You were so busy in your head that you didn't realize that Vanya was the one taking you to your room.
The violinist wore a concerned look on her face, "Hey, Y/N, you alright? You seem so out of it? It's very unusual for you… I'm assuming you are bothered by what Luther said? You looked like you were about to cry earlier."
"I'm not bothered, just worried about Five. I was supposed to be by his side but I ended up getting house arrest instead." You answered jokingly but you could not bring yourself to fake a smile.
Vanya laughed, not noticing that your energy didn't match your tone. "If it helps, I don't think you would kill dad."
"You wouldn't know that…" You wanted to say that but kept it to yourself.
"So don't beat yourself up over this, if you're innocent you have nothing to lose."
You briefly replied with a fake smile, "Yeah. Thanks."
The petite brunette noticed the brief reply but shrugged it off then changed topics. "So, I've heard from the others that you and Five have been hanging out, is that true?"
You nodded.
"I didn't think he'd open up to you… with how he openly hates you and all- Not saying that it's a bad thing that you guys are getting along now! It's just… unexpected is all."
You relaxed for a bit and chuckled. You knew for a fact neither of you guys were getting along. At most, you guys were just tolerating each other because you all saw how you guys benefited from each other.
"That's one way of putting it." You murmured.
You and Vanya arrived in your room and sat on your bed. In sync, you guys laid down on your backs and stared at the ceiling above you guys.
"So how's Five doing?" The brunette questioned, probably worried about his mental state considering what happened the day before… or was it earlier?
"Well, from what I can tell, he's getting used to people…" you answered, trying to evade the topic of the apocalypse when answering her question.
Vanya exhaled through her nostrils, "I really should have insisted for him to get help."
"I understand your concern Miss Vanya but, you can't help someone who doesn't recognize they need help. You would only be wasting your energy."
"I'm sorry," She murmured, a habit of hers that she never got over.
You smiled then added, "You have nothing to be sorry about, you're just doing what you think is right."
"Y/N can I ask you something?"
You nodded giving her the go signal.
"Why would you try to comfort Luther by advising him to look into other people as well?"
You froze up. You couldn't lie to Vanya, something was telling you that you couldn't go against someone's orders. "I can't-"
Unexpectedly, a myriad of gunshots were coming from the hallway.
"Hide!" You shouted, before Vanya could protest, you urgently hid her in your closet as you hid under the bed.
Once the sound of gunshots and blades clanking simmered down, you got out of your hiding spot and readied your retractable bo staff. Vanya got out of the closet as well once she heard you got out of your hiding spot.
"Miss Vanya, I will be heading out to assist the others," You grabbed a ballistic shield you have been hiding behind the closet, "I'll be giving you this ballistic shield for your protection. Please don't make any sound."
"Wait, Y/N you shouldn't-" Number seven grabbed your wrist in an attempt to stop you but the determined look on your face made her grip loosen.
"I have to Miss Vanya, I'm sorry. It's my responsibility to protect you- I mean, protect the academy. I can't just stand by and watch them throw away their lives like that."
Vanya was left speechless with your words. You did not outright say anything about her being ordinary or not having powers but, it felt like the term "responsibility" became synonymous with the word “power”. It made her think that she didn't have the power to protect others nor herself, that's why other people had to get themselves hurt to protect her.
"Remember, do not open the door for anyone even if you know it's someone you think you can trust; We don't know what the intruder is capable of, so trust no one. I will let you know if the coast is clear so keep a lookout for my messages." You told her then left your room, unknowingly leaving Vanya to her thoughts.
You cautiously surveyed the hallway, you held the bo staff's body with high alert including your other senses actively looking for the intruders that entered the academy. When you reached the stairs, you witnessed Diego and Allison simultaneously attacking a familiar pink masked person. You were about to jump into the action until you heard Vanya's voice from the living room.
ㅤㅤㅤ❲ T H E ☕ S E R V A N T ❳
"Hello?" Vanya went down the stairs, worry in her voice and facial features.
"Guys? Is everyone okay?"
"Hello? Guys?" She entered the living room unaware of the danger emanating from the lounge.
Once the violinist entered the room she tried to look for any signs of life but only saw the result of the fight, which was gun residue and bullet casings littering the area. As she was about to leave and investigate the other rooms, she heard chains rattling behind her.
The petite woman turned and was met with the intruder who wore a blue cartoony mask, who was wielding a morning star. He swung it towards Vanya but she ducked just in time. As he was about to hit her with his arm, a two-pronged spear stopped him midway, which created a distance between Vanya and the intruder.
The spear was a surprise to everyone in the living room except you, they turned their gaze and met your hues. Once the masked man's attention was set on you, Vanya quickly hid not wanting to be a liability.
"If you're looking for someone to fight, at least pick someone who can fight." You taunted the larger man.
With ease, you jumped from the second floor then dash towards the masked man, using the momentum you've picked up, you raised your foot and pushed kick his torso away. The impact made him stumble backwards and pause as he tried to gather his footing.
The spear that you threw at him earlier is now in your hands, you pressed the button that would retract the prongs and swung it towards the mask - his head was your main target - which made him stagger back again.
"This brat is too quick, I should've left her with Cha cha." Hazel grumbled to himself.
Despite the obvious large distance, you cautiously took a few steps backwards and used the staff as a boundary. An open hand supporting the head of the bo staff whilst a closed fist on the butt of the staff holding onto it with a strong grip.
Seeing as the double attack to his head was making him fall behind, you quickly withdrew from your defensive stance then, taunted the masked man by spinning your bo staff. Once he regained his footing, he swung the ball of spikes onto the body of the staff, so it would fall apart.
However, you decided to take a gamble and retract it. You dashed forward to tackle him but, due to the frame and weight differences, your attack didn't affect him. Unknown to him, this was all part of your plan, this was the distance you needed for your next move. You made the staff face upwards then unretracted it which propelled his chin thus leading him to fall backwards.
By now he was outside the living room, you were out of breath and so the masked man. Your main objective was achieved, Vanya wasn't within his reach but, you were not sure if you could hold him off any longer.
"Hey, asshole." Luther greeted. Despite what he did to you earlier, you were thankful for his presence.
"Y/N go look for Pogo and Grace!"
You nodded and headed off to where you usually see Pogo and Grace. Once you have met up with the advanced chimpanzee you guided him to the basement and reassured him that everything was under control. You were planning to go out and look for Grace this time but, curiosity got the better of you.
"Did you hire those people?" You questioned as your grip on the retractable bo staff tightening.
"Master Hargreeves never hired an outside party to get involved… It must be someone who knows what he is planning, or people after his fortune." He replied but you were not satisfied with his answer, it was evident on your face.
You scoffed then exclaimed, "What the hell is he planning?! Vanya almost got killed out there!"
"I'm afraid I can't tell you. Master Hargreeves made me swear to not speak of it, unless the truth is finally revealed to the whole academy."
You were livid but walked away from him with a huff, to go look for Ms. Grace. At this point, you have given up on trying to find out the truth. Even though you were one of the Monocle's loyal servants, he treated you like the other numbers and kept you in the dark despite his hesitancy to trust you, he gave you little to no information, so you would be left to figure it out yourself.
Tumblr media
Once you received Vanya's text, you went out of the basement and surveyed the house if there were lingering intruders. Suddenly, you ran to where you heard the crash come from and saw a fallen chandelier along with the other numbers who looked like they were still processing what they witnessed.
"What happened?" You broke the silence, it seemed like they were hesitant to answer but Allison managed to speak. "A chandelier fell on Luther, please check on him."
You bowed to the rumor, as you were ready to leave Vanya, Allison and Diego to their own devices.
Suddenly, the violinist's question made you freeze, "Who were those people?"
You were well aware that the question was not directed towards you but, the instinct - a rumor - told you to answer her but, then you saw Diego narrowing his eyes at you, as though silently questioning why you haven't left. You tightened your lips into a line then silently went to the clinic to prep for Luther's wounds.

'CAUSE HE THINKS he's made of candy.
i think this is the longest thing i've ever written here, around 6.7k words and i had to revise it a lot because it took up too much space ;;; the title is a reference to candy by robbie williams because that song slaps hard
pairing : five hargreeves x male/transmasc reader. [he/him pronouns]
─────
where : after surviving the apocalypse together and saving the world, things finally return to normal, in good ways and in bad ways.
─────
warnings : mentions of trauma, some light mentions of gore, reader has a congenital insensitivity to pain and find getting injured amusing, so... a lot of that kind of trouble. i totally wanna do another part or so because klaus and diego being father figures gives me life
Tumblr media
you walked through the half-dark house, making your way to five's room like you had many times, skateboard in one hand and phone in the other. making sure you hadn't waken anybody up, you opened the door, greeted by the expected sight of a dark bedroom and the sound of gentle snoring. "five, wake up~," you whispered, half singing, shaking his arm, steadily waking him up. he looked annoyed, his brow already furrowed and a frown already tugging at his lips, but he wasn't angry. he was rather used to it by now, in all honesty. "your favorite person ever in the entire world is here!" you hummed. five could basically smell the grin you wore.
"and i wish he would go away," he grumbled in response, trying to turn back over and go back to sleep, only for you to flick on the light and blind him. "jesus christ, a fucking―a warning next time, please?"
"shove your warnings up your ass, five, you can miss out on your middle schooler sleep schedule for a night."
"many nights, actually," he hissed distastefully, giving a mourning glance to the cozy pillow before he sat up, now disappointingly awake. "what do you want this time?" the grogginess was now leaving his voice, but not really his eyes. five almost looked nice when sleepy, even if he looked pissed as hell at being woken up. at least your face was a little more pleasant to look at now that you were back to your teenage self.
"let's go shopping."
five looked at you like you were utterly insane, then slowly looked over at his clock. he cocked his head at you. "it's almost midnight."
"mm, did i stutter?"
"i wish you did. i'm not going shopping with you at midnight. no place is even open." five tried to put his foot down. he was a steel wall to anyone else. but to you―perhaps for you, he was simply a clay plot, one easy to crack the more water you filled it with. it was nice to spend time with you without the entire world desolate and destroyed around you, at least.
"who said the place had to be open?" you shot back with a cheeky grin. five wished that he could be surprised with your blatant delinquency. at some points it had done you both well and your affinity for breaking rules, laws, and regulations gave you a peculiar resourcefulness, but now that you were both safe and home, well... you'd become a mischievous troublemaker. just how you used to be.
"... how the hell did we ever become friends." his voice was utterly flat and his expression exhausted and peeved and yet he still stood up, shrugging the blankets off of himself, heading to his closet because he would be damned if you were going to get hurt and he wouldn't be there to laugh at you.
well, you didn't really get hurt, did you?
"i dunno, but i'm sure you regret your decision." five didn't respond to that. "i will satiate your worries, though, old man, it's an abandoned mall this time."
"wow. character development. didn't expect that from you." with the newfound information he searched for something decent to wear. something that allowed him to move and remain covered by shadows should any unsavory things come to pass.
"hey, hey, i went from crying when i stepped on an ant to killing people, and even if that's negative character development, it's still character development, okay? stop underselling me." you leaned against the wall next to his door, skateboard lounging beside you, picking at your nails. he finally took a full glance at you now that sleep was totally gone from his mind and his body, narrowing his eyes. you were wearing jean shorts, an old nirvana t-shirt, and a hawaiian button-down completely unbuttoned. at least you were wearing knee-pads this time around, but that was all the praise he could give you. five still found himself stunned that you so brazenly didn't care about how visible your scars were; scars from broken bones, scrapes, cuts, gashes, burns, stabs, bullets, shrapnel. you paraded them about like they were boy scout badges which was almost hilarious because you never learned anything from the incidents which now lined your body. even though five would never do it himself, and in fact found it incredibly weird, he kind of respected it. admired it, even. but just that one thing, nothing else. never.
"what, see something you like, old man?" you mused, going from fidgeting with your fingers to looking him in the eye, your own glinting with a bit of cheekiness. not the worst thing to be woken up to in the middle of the night.
five scoffed. "never in my life." you rolled your eyes at that sarcastic response and your grin did not fade. "you're―you're seriously wearing that?"
"hey, i dress my age, mr. retired-man-with-dementia-who-only-remembers-how-to-play-bingo, alright? leave me be." neither of you were bothered by bickering whilst five changed from pajamas to day clothes. he wasn't getting totally naked, so neither of you really gave a shit.
"'dress your age'..." he muttered. "you dress like a blind tween."
"thanks, hot stuff."
"that wasn't a compliment."
"i literally could not care less," you shot back, then winked at him, adding, "lovingly."
five faked a chuckle in some sort of hum sound, shooting you a falsified grin before returning to what he was doing. "i don't want your love. i'm good."
you frowned a bit yourself, which was totally and utterly unnerving and made five, somehow, regret what he said a little bit. "ouch, dude, tell me how you really feel."
"you couldn't comprehend even the most elementary of my emotions, so i'll spare you the headache." he glanced at you a few times, more so at that lingering twinge of unhappiness that so brazenly took over your expression. those words were typically the closest you would ever get to verbal reassurance or comfort from five, not just because he was completely incapable of voicing his own emotions properly, but because physicality did more for you than talking ever did; so, with a comfortable, neutral flannel now hiding his previously exposed torso, he placed a hand on your shoulder. he was always gentle with you, which completely didn't make sense because if anyone in the world needed to be treated gently it would certainly not be you.
a little smile found its way back on your lips. now reassured that not everything was wrong with the world, five pulled on a dark sweater and paperboy cap. you looked him over. "you really look like a retiree now," you mused, but it wasn't an insult. he looked nice like this, out of that hellish uniform, and never could you imagine him in anything else. "do you wanna hit the golf course too, gramps? i'm sure they got some mocktails for you since you wanna keep the drinking to a minimum tonight."
"shut it before i make you." he spoke through gritted teeth, jabbing a finger at you, only succeeding in making you grin.
"is that a threat or a promise?" you clicked your tongue, picking up your skateboard and heading for the door before he could say anything else. "the old tree is, like, a twenty-five-minute walk."
"i'll just blink us, i'm not spending another thirty minutes with you on a skateboard on rough sidewalks, i don't even wanna think about what would happen this time."
"it was so cool, though! i never thought a compound fracture could look like that!"
"[y/n], you only think it's cool because you couldn't feel the pain."
"uh, yeah," you said back, raising a brow at him while he shut off the light to his room and closed the door behind you two. "but it was still cool." you had your bubbly little grin again and five rolled his eyes. despite all that trouble, all that excessive worry he would never admit to feeling, five still looked back somewhat fondly on those times. back when you were ten, still learning how to skateboard, and your parents didn't even give you a helmet or joint pads, when you broke your ankle and didn't even know something had happened until five pointed it out.
after taking one hell of a tumble, hearing the board crack a bit beneath you, you let out a breathless huff, allowing yourself a moment to absorb the sudden shift in, well, everything. five perked up at the sound, surprised you weren't crying or something after falling like that. you stood up and brushed yourself off like nothing was wrong, peering strangely down at the board, which had no damage. you pushed it back and forth once or twice with one foot and it seemed undamaged. that was weird. you'd heard it break, right? five came up to your side, glancing you over once or twice, before his eyes settled down at your feet. "you've got a little something on, uh―" five cut himself off, eyes wide, and you knew that shit was bad when he looked at you like that. he looked about as shocked as one could be, and that unnerved you to no end.
"what? what, did i..." you looked down at your shirt to make sure you hadn't torn it up or anything or were totally exposed, somehow completely not noticing the broken ankle on which you were unsteadily standing, chalking it up to you still half-standing on your skateboard. "what, i don't see what's wrong this picture. stop being cryptic with me, man, you know i'm dumb as shit."
"well―i mean, you aren't wrong about that 'dumb as shit' thing, but i think you just fully busted your ankle." his curtness was plain and simple, and you had already known back then that it would be a constant in his attitude. you looked down, then back up, your eyes wide and mouth twisted as you poorly suppressed a grin and a very annoying giggle. "don't look at me like that! how―how are you not feeling it? that would hurt like hell!" he kept gesturing down at your ankle, at the protrusion of bone and reddening, swelling skin.
"i dunno, i just can't feel it," you mumbled. he pursed his lips, simultaneously in disbelief at what you were saying and knowing that you were too shit at lying to pull this kind of thing off. all of a sudden, his mind was screeching like a fork in a garbage disposal. not being able to feel pain was kind of a bad thing.
he had actually been right, to no one's surprise, when you were diagnosed with congenital analgesia. that incident had marked the day where five silently vowed to be there to protect you, because you were alone except for him. and, to a certain extent, he was alone except for you.
"god really was fucked up when he made you, wasn't he," he muttered.
you both headed downstairs and the clock, by now, was probably around twelve. klaus waited at the bottom of the staircase with the cheekiest of smirks on his face, hands clasped together and his cheek leaning against them. you let out an exhausted groan, thinking you'd missed this tonight.
"something tells me he's super weird-dad tonight."
"why are you surprised, he's klaus, and he's basically your dad."
klaus let out some weird giggle. "i mean, i prefer the thought of being the really cool uncle who teaches you how to smuggle alcohol and how to juke rehab therapists, but i don't mind being a dad." he stepped in front of you two, hands now extended, and that dopey uber-proud dad smile back. "oh, just look at you two!"
"i thought you were sober," five said flatly.
"come on, you two are perfect together! your over-the-top chaos," he gestured to you, "and your sterile literalism!" and he gestured to five. "i'm just waiting for you two to make it official, i mean, two guys don't just survive fifty years in the apocalypse together only from a platonic bond." you and five shared a wide-eyed glance. "don't worry, if my cupid abilities don't get you two together, hormones will. i can't imagine going through puberty twice, let alone the sexual tension between two guys who can't admit their love for one another―"
you put your face in your hands, utterly embarrassed, whilst five was utterly unsurprised. a similar conversation had gone down before, and he just hated reliving it. "okay! that's enough. okay, okay, uh, we're gonna go! if you contact me within the next seven days, i will call child protection services and the police." of course, the threat was empty, but hyperbole was the best way to get your point across. klaus raised his hands in surrender and stepped out of your way. he did enjoy the picture of you two, though; the two extremes on opposite sides of the social attitudes spectrum, one extroverted to the point of it being a flaw and the other antisocial to hell; the opposite sides of the fashion spectrum, one being well-put together mature vintage, and the other being power-clashing at its finest. the multicolored shoelaces were also an appreciated detail.
"i love you too, my little schneke."
"... stop calling me a snail, i'm―i'm not slow."
"maybe not physically," five said quietly to you, and in response you jabbed him in the side with a quiet 'fuck you.' on that cheerful note, you two went about your way. the front door clicked closed behind you, and in a flash of blue-tinted light, you were gone, and the house was mostly silent. klaus was soon joined by allison, quietly making her way downstairs, the only remaining light sleeper of the family.
"you really are just laying on that matchmaker thing, aren't you." she sounded drowsy and awake at the same time. klaus greeted her with a simple smile and a single nod.
"i mean, aren't they just the perfect couple?"
"they certainly were standing next to each other," allison mumbled.
seeing five frustrated was worrying. staring down at his clenched fists, blue light barely rippling out like ice spreading over a metal surface. and so when you passed him, even when he did not notice you, you touched his shoulder, finding yourself in another time. "h-hey, uh, five―" you managed, feeling nauseated as yet again he travelled to some time else.
"get off of me, [y/n], you shouldn't be here!" he looked at you with anger, more like fury, but it was a weird cocktail because it was mixed with a very weird concern. suddenly the world around you two zipped away and was replaced with one of fire, ruined buildings, complete and utter desolation of what was once a world, once compiled with many lives and now every single one was snuffed out because a different roaring fire took everything with it. both of you stood in shock for a few seconds but your cool nature was the first to crack.
"five?! five, where are we?" your voice cracked and your chest tightened, whipping your head around because you thought if you turned fast enough you would be back home.
"like hell if i know, [y/n]! why didn't you let go of me?!"
"i wouldn't have been home anyway, five! i would be just as stranded, i―we―someone needs to be alive, right? someone?" both of you seemed to have the same idea click into your minds, stumbling into weak runs to find the umbrella academy. the building had once stood grand and tall and foreboding and now it was down to the foundations. your friends, his siblings, were gone. he fell to his knees and you turned around, horrified at the world but at least free from the stinging pain of heat and dust whipping into your skin. you felt as cold as ice in a world of fire and heat because, buried amongst the broken homes, were the only family you both had. just older, and... dead. in very painful, excruciating ways.
for all those years, you thought it had been you that stranded you in the apocalypse together; you had distracted him, you had ruined it all, and you never forgave yourself. you hid it well. but five never came out with the same thought process because he didn't believe it in the slightest. he'd already been struggling to transport himself to the time he wanted. maybe you'd exasperated things just a little, but it wasn't entirely your fault. never.
you both allowed yourselves time for the mental breakdown you so dearly deserved, but the time was coming to man up and start trying to find ways to survive. joined at the hip didn't really cover how close you were over those decades, how you couldn't sleep unless you were besides each other, how you protected five because you wouldn't feel the pain and how he always patched you up while cursing you out and still kissing the wound better because it always properly calmed you down, at least more than any words could. you took the brunt of the pain, weaponizing your congenital analgesia and using it as a defensive plan. it worked. even when the handler came around, especially when the handler came around, no defense quite matched yours.
"i should've left you back near the academy building," five muttered, wrapping makeshift bandages around your... well, your practically crushed arm. his voice was gruff now, and not just from the unpleasant living situation, but you were both nearing your thirtieth birthdays. you'd both filled out. you kept gazing at him whenever he patched you up, and even though his words were sour, his touch was sweet.
"what're you looking at, dipshit."
"nothing much."
"fuck you."
"you first."
five grinned a bit. some things never changed.
"wow. this place really didn't age well." the old liberty tree spanned out in front of you with basically no windows left intact, and beyond them a black void without any electricity in the circuits. the outdoor walls were crawling with ivy, the grounds fuzzy from overgrown plants on unkempt laws, and the concrete of the structure looked about ready to crumble. you'd come here a few times in your pre-apocalyptic childhood. it had been coming down for a long time after a few bigger malls came into the picture, carrying more stores, more variety, more fast food restaurants in the food court. now its charms drew only you in as 'how sick would it be to die crushed under the ceiling of an abandoned mall?'
"it's super cool, right?" you giggled, giddy as all hell. your attitude toward liminal spaces had stayed remarkably the same over the years. always, when passing by some tired old house, you nagged five to just take a peek.
"i don't think so, no."
"well, you're friends with me, so i don't think you really have good taste, so i'm gonna ignore that comment and think you said yes." try as he might, and he desperately did, five couldn't bring himself to hate that glint in your eyes when you looked at him. pure, raw curiosity with an undertone of excitement and glee that you were exploring some boring, abandoned place with him of all people. you set down your board and took your place standing on top of it and before five could scold you for skating on very uneven ground, you took off, ducking and pulling a small ollie to get through the shattered pane of the glass main door. five sighed through his nose and followed you in, eventually greeted by the sound of your bluetooth speaker blasting something he couldn't make out by its echo.
"how could you possibly find this fun?" he almost had to shout to be heard. you were approaching again after going around the empty lobby for a few turns, just going faster and faster, losing more caution every time.
"because it's mindless and mostly not illegal!" you responded brightly. suddenly you got the fantastic idea to jump off your board and let it go flying and you followed the instinct, landing wrong on your foot and immediately heading straight for the ground. you would've landed hard, getting at least a deep bruise, if five hadn't caught you by your waist before you could break yet another bone, scoffing at your terrible decisions.
"there are millions of words in the english but none of them could ever describe just how incredible it is that you aren't dead yet," he said curtly, helping you stand back up. you were giggling.
the music was still playing and so you wrapped your arms around his neck, starting to sway and hum along to the eerily-echoing tune. he looked at you with confused horror, eyes narrowed slightly, not moving with you.
"don't give me that, shortstack!"
"i'm taller than you."
"i'm going to ignore that!" you chirped. "we're alive and out of hell, and we have been for, like, weeks now, it wouldn't kill you to dance a little bit!" your hair, bouncy from its messiness, danced almost more than you did as you moved it back and forth, singing whole-heartedly along to saint motel, keeping it a bit dialed back so that five wouldn't have his ears fully blown out by the volume. "who do you think'll see your shitty dance moves other than me? and we both know that i would be a total hypocrite if i insulted you for them."
"i don't dance."
"yeah, and i don't care. your hip won't give out if you use it for fun, fivey."
"don't... don't say that, actually." the cracks were staring to show, just as they always did with his clay pot attitude. you sputtered at the accidental innuendo.
"aw, c'mon, please? just this once?" it was no wonder that klaus was dead-set on his precious, unofficially-adopted son being in love with five, and also no wonder that diego was dead-set on keeping that same unofficially-adopted son as far away from five as possible. your puppy dog eyes were totally nauseating and deeply troubling and so he gave in, solely for the sake of his own sanity. he shut his eyes for a second, mumbling something along the lines of 'i should've killed you decades ago.' but he hugged your waist a little more purposefully and begrudgingly swayed a bit to the tune. the look of utter happiness on your face was, admittedly, kind of worth the wake-up call and following exhaustion.
"i cannot believe that you guilt-tripped me into dancing."
the happy music saw you getting a bit more creative, making up the moves as you went, whatever felt right. five let go of a little control to do the same, and found himself mildly enjoying it. would he do it again? not on his own accord. would you probably make him do it again? without a doubt. it was, however, nice to watch you enjoy yourself. he kind of wanted to dip you, but he didn't.
"you're a natural, though." clasping his hands and intertwining your fingers, you leaned back, and he found himself doing the same, both of you held upright by your grasps on the others' hands, and you started to move in a circle. for the sake of both your safety, five went about it too. walking turned into sideways jogging and you started giggling. the world around you both blurred. for five, it was just you now, just you, like it had always been. it had been a while since you'd held hands for so long but eventually it ended, much to five's dismay, and you went stumbling backward a few steps, falling hard on your ass whilst he quickly remained his balance. you were breathless for a moment after falling so suddenly, but eventually you just started laughing. five wiped his hands on his shirt, peering at you strangely.
"you didn't hear anything crack or whatever? nothing feels weird?" he spoke with no emotion in his voice and yet the words and underlying tone were careful and concerned. nobody else could hear it, but after so long, you could read his every move.
"no, nothing." you shook your head a bit, finding yourself dizzy. "nice to see you're still concerned."
he offered his hand out to you and you took it, and in a strong move, he pulled you up. "i wouldn't call it concern."
"well, then, what would you call it?"
good question.
you were sniffling and crying while trying not to sound it at all. of course, it wasn't from the pain, but from the total stress. sometimes it all just collapsed on you again and you were a hyperventilating, shaking kid again, too scared to turn off the light because the shadows freaked you out. five sat down beside you, leaning against the least-crumbling wall of the small shack you'd both been calling home.
"you're not really a crier," he began. "did something happen?"
"i-i almost got crushed and i saw my life fucking―flash before my eyes and i hated all of it. every single second. i wish i'd killed my parents, i wish i'd killed that landlord, i wish i'd killed my uncle―"
"wish all you want but that's not gonna happen, [y/n]." his voice softened. five was essentially the same as he had been when he was thirteen, just sprouted into someone who would've been one hell of a college freshman. "i wish i killed a lot of people too, but we're here, and we're here together, and―for what it's worth―i'm glad that you're alive." he settled a bit closer to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, pulling you, still sniveling, against him. "hating your childhood is pretty common where i'm from," he joked, successfully getting a wheezy chuckle from you, "and it's still possible to lead a decently okay life. i'm trapped in a terrible apocalypse, and it's not just external, but... it's a little better because i have someone else who's more insane to remind me that i'm right."
you chuckled yet again, snuggling against him. his warmth was better than the world's. "i think i only moved because i heard you call."
"seriously?"
"i-i mean, yeah." it was kind of hard to forget the feeling of stumbling away from a ton of hard reinforced concrete that would've left you as a reddish smear on an orange world. five's curt and somewhat annoyed call was the only thing that grounded you, and you both knew just how quick that faded.
"you really would be dead without me." his voice was quiet and deeply peeved but he didn't shy away from you, his hand remaining idly just against your hair.
"no shit, dumbass―trust me, i am well aware." you snorted to yourself and five sprouted a small amused smile on his own. eventually your smile dimmed a bit, and were reminded of the world in which you lived in, and the world from which you had come from. "why did you stick around?" your disheartened soul was reflected in those words, lined with a pure confusion. five furrowed his brow. apparently it was completely out of the realm of possibility to you for him to just care.
"... there was a lot of―"
"answer the question. please. j-just this once." five quieted a bit when he heard that. usually he was quite skilled at deflecting questions but you melted his resolve so easily. you asking a genuine question in a hauntingly low voice left five silent with no idea how to respond, even after all these years of dealing with your rollercoaster mannerisms.
"wrong place at the wrong time, i suppose." right place at the right time was better to describe it, maybe. "after you broke your ankle when we were ten, i guess i took it upon myself to make sure you didn't do any dumb shit that would end up in a gnarly death. whether you can feel it or not." so he'd appointed himself to be your protector?
"why? it wouldn't do you any good. well... it hasn't done you any good."
"do you really think i only do things if they'll give me an advantage?" five paused, not looking down to see the squinted eyes you stared at him with. "don't answer that question, actually. don't answer. it hasn't done me any good but i don't regret anything i did. not terribly, anyway."
your grin would make the cheshire cat blush.
five immediately regretted saying that. "don't let that go to your head, [y/n]."
"already there, bud."
his brow furrowed again, the corners of his lips twitching down in another frown. "alright. maybe it's partially concern. but fracturing your pelvis would be a very stupid way to die, and not worth laughing at, so i didn't want to miss out on a show." maybe there was some form of truth in that desire for a fun death, but you had that desire too, so small potatoes. it was silence between you two for a few seconds as you patted concrete dust off of your clothes and the backs of your thighs. "let me help," he said, and it was a demand and not an ill-cadenced suggestion. he stepped behind you and swiped away the strips you couldn't reach with a heavy hand. while he did so he carefully looked you over, even going to far as lifting your arms to check for any injuries. you were quite used to it by now.
"thanks," you mumbled. "still waiting for that broken leg."
"well, your plan wouldn't work anyway, because i can see your legs."
"yeah... i like my legs. i don't want one to go janky from a broken bone."
"it would be unfortunate."
"mmhm, so you agree."
five narrowed his eyes slightly, not getting what you meant for a second or two, before scoffing. "i don't think that your legs are nice."
"really?" you turned to look at him, and the teasing grin on your face was reassuring in how amused it was. you were just playing with him, but that was always the way you got him to inadvertently expel whatever he was thinking. you tilted your head, crossing your arms.
"don't give me that, [y/n], or i'll blink away and leave you here."
"there's ceiling access."
he pursed his lips. "alright, then leaving you alone here is completely out of the question, but i will find some way to make this miserable for you."
"what, why? why d'you wanna misery me?"
"you're dreadfully annoying, for one. i hate how you're always smiling, it gives you really bad wrinkles. you have the heart of a child because you're so immature and i don't know why the universe thought it would be funny to shove us two together, because god knows it would never happen normally, but here we are, much to my chagrin." five paused. you were accustomed to his rants by now. "your weird uncle-dad keeps trying to rush something which shouldn't be rushed, and i don't even know what level of weird that is but i hate being a part of it."
"rush something which shouldn't be rushed―what does that mean?" it was like you had selective hearing for the smallest freudian slips known to man. "what, do you need sixty more years to admit you've had some sort of big emotion or something?" it was mostly a jab, something meant to be funny, which was met with a stolid seriousness. you let out a near-silent 'oh' as the moment continued.
"yeah. turns out the crazy alcoholic was onto something, for the first time in his life." you snorted at the quip, nodding in agreement. both of you knew, dearly knew, that words wouldn't be the vessel of the confession, but both of you knew, dearly knew, that it was coming pretty fast. you'd just never think it would come this fast. klaus was really good at sniffing out a love arc, apparently. five felt like steel when he took your hands back into his, not because his biting sharp edges hurt you, no, and they never would, but he'd never done something in a manner such as this. with a few unspoken words the entire atmosphere of your relationship had been turned upside down and that was the scary part; he had no clue where to go from here.
"the worst part will be telling klaus he was right," you joked, swinging your arms in and out on socially-awkward instinct.
"you're telling me. he's gonna tout it around for the rest of time."
"we'll never live it down."
"i doubt you'll need to worry about that, i'll be surprised if you make it to your 16th birthday."
"you give me three years? seriously? you really think that my 58-year-old-13-year-old self can only survive three more years?"
"absolutely correct." you found yourself laughing and he found himself grinning, just slightly. the sound was pleasant, admittedly. he was more open with that now. well, barely, but it still counted. the silence that did follow this time around was almost pleasant. you were too nervous to maintain eye contact very long, so you glanced away from him and your gaze lingered on the random spot which it landed. plants had somehow found their way into the internal cracks of the floor, green shards glinting out in the pale light from the grimy sunroof.
"i never thought i'd see the day where you couldn't look me in the eyes. it's weird and i don't like it. look at me." your cheeks felt warm but you did as you were told. he smiled a little bit, and it didn't even hint at a snarky grin or smug smirk. you leaned forward and rested your forehead against his.
"i'm totally not telling klaus about this."
"neither am i, are you kidding?"
"never in my life," you giggled to yourself, graduating from holding his hands to wrapping your arms back about his neck, where it felt like they belonged. suddenly it was like he was new to embraces because his arms felt stiff when he hugged back, but he hugged back, tight. never before had you encountered something so gentle and so suffocating at the same time; gentle because he might break you, suffocating because he might lose you. neither of those would happen on his watch, of course. somehow, even with your wild self, your flaws and lack of capability to abide by laws and rules, you'd managed to charm the most level-headed, logic-addicted, cynical douchebag the world had ever seen. maybe there was some truth behind that old 'opposites attract' thing.
"do you wanna stick around this dingy place for a while longer like the psychopath you are or get food before you go to sleep so you don"t whine about being hungry?"
"am i really that predi—"
"yes."
"wow, you muttered, furrowing your brow. "i really am predictable."
"yes."
with just the will to prove him wrong you stood straighter and gave him a quick, albeit strong, kiss, and then you were right back on your feet. you caught him off-guard, that's for sure, because he looked like an android in the middle of uploading information; eyes slightly wide, brows slightly raised, pure subtlety. "how about that?"
it still took him a few seconds to respond after that, trying to regain his smug and blunt composure while also trying not to dampen the mood in any way. "you're terrible at convincing. give it another shot."

Uncle!Klaus x Niece!Reader | Recommended by: @popfishjr

Tumblr media
It was a dark Saturday evening, your father, Diego, was out doing... whatever Diego does on a dark Saturday evening. So, you decided, what better to do than hang out with your favourite uncle, Uncle Klaus. You rolled out of bed and reached for the phone. Klaus was never busy on a Saturday, usually he would spend his Saturdays with you, so you called him and told him to come pick you up. He agreed, excitedly talking about what he had planned.
"Oh my, dear, dear (Y/N/N), you will LOVE what I have planned today!"
Intrigued, you questioned what he meant however he refused to tell you. Excited to find out what he meant, you rushed to get ready and waited to hear the honk of the horn to tell you that Klaus was there and ready to collect you.
~*~*~*~*~
As you finished doing your hair, you heard the HONK and rushed to put your shoes on and get out of the house. As you shut and locked the door, you turned around to be greeted with the sight of your uncle sat in his car with a child-like smile on his face. Quickly, you walked up to the car, pulled the door open, and sat down next to your uncle.
"Will you tell me what we're doing now?"
"Nope, no chance, you'll find out soon enough!"
As you drove further into the city, you were greeted with bright, fun-coloured lights and you felt the car slow down. Finally, you realised what Klaus had planned. He was taking you to a carnival. You grinned happily, and looked over to Klaus. As you pulled into the parking lot, you got hit with memories from years back when you went to the carnival with Klaus and your dad.
You got out of the car and Klaus grabbed you by the sleeve and dragged you to some of the rides. You screamed from the thrill and held onto your uncle on the rides. Laughs and shrieks of happiness were all that emanated from you and your uncle. Dizzy from the rides, you stumbled over to the cotton candy stands, you giggled as you shared it with your uncle. He reached into his pockets and realised quickly he didn't have enough money to keep paying for all the fun things the both of you wanted.
"Hey, (Y/N/N)? Don't tell your Dad about what I'm about to do."
You looked at him, perplexed, as he stood from the bench and walked over to a wealthy-looking man. You sat there, staring at him, unknowing to what he was about to do. Sneakily, he reached into the mans pockets and pickpocketed some money. You gasped but as Klaus held a finger to his lips playfully you couldn't help but let out a small laugh. You knew Klaus shouldn't be doing that but you were used to a lot of his illegal shenanigans.
Before he could get too far from the man, the victim of the theft realised what had happened and turned around to see Klaus with his money. You heard the man shout and he began to chase Klaus and you. You shot up from the bench, hearing a string of 'Shit!' fall from Klaus' mouth. You ran as fast as you could with your uncle, you ran through some attractions, hoping to lose the man. The man hadn't lost you and Klaus but he had been significantly slowed down so there was now quite a bit of distance between you and the man. You managed to make it to the car and threw yourselves in and sped off before the man could reach you.
As you slowed down, realising the man couldn't get to you anymore, the panic wore off and you and Klaus began to laugh hysterically. You laughed about the incident all the way back to your house. After a long day, you both stumbled into the living room. Too tired to change or even go up to your room, you and klaus collapsed onto the couch and fell asleep quickly.
As chaotic as it was, you deemed it a pretty successful day.

Tumblr media
.
well. this is it. the end of the world. the last days of your life. not how you imagined you'd go out, to be honest. you put the chances of dying during a commission assignment at about 98%. frankly a little low.
but you’d always been a little optimistic, so the remaining 2% went to your own personal fantasy. that maybe, one day, you'd retire from the commission. maybe use a briefcase to settle down somewhere of your choosing and live out the rest of your days in peace. and maybe, you would live out those days with your best friend. and, maybe, if you really wanted to push it, he'd turn from best friend to something more.
but that dream doesn't matter anymore, does it? you, along with your partner and his family had made the fuck up of a lifetime and created a kugelblitz - the end all of everything. its almost funny. how you'd given up most of your life to "fixing the timeline" just to end up ruining all of them.
hilarious.
so, here you are. in a shittily-lit hotel room getting dressed for a quickly put-together wedding at the end of the world.
god, how your life has changed.
you hear a knock at the door, saying a silent “come in.” to whoever stands behind it.
a soft smile graces your face when you see five enter the room. he stops a few steps from the doorway as he observes you, likely noticing how you'd dressed up more than usual. "you sure clean up nice, hargreeves." you tease, smiling as he does.
"well, you don't look half bad yourself." he takes in more of your outfit, looking you up and down. you feel your face heat up.
"a genuine compliment from the five hargreeves himself? it truly is the end of the world."
"im a man who tells the truth, you know this better than anyone." he keeps walking until he stands next to you, automatically raising his head so you can fix his tie.
"even when people don't want to hear it." you give him a knowing look as you do his tie for him. he knows how, but likes how you do it better. he likes to pretend you don't know.
"especially then."
when you finish fixing the tie, you smooth it over and run your hands over his vest. you look him in the eyes to see him already looking at you with an emotion in his that you can't quite place.
you want to ask him how he feels. about what happened when you went to the commission and saw everything you'd ever known just gone. about never getting longer than a day to just rest. about your impending doom.
about you.
he opens his mouth to speak but you both startle as a sharp knock sounds from the door.
you look over to see a slightly awkwardly standing viktor, who moves his hands to his pockets after gesturing to the hallway.
"hey, uh.. its time for us all to head down, the ceremony is about to start."
both of your lips purse into awkward smiles as he stands in the doorway for a few more seconds before exiting quietly.
its silent for a few more seconds as the two of you stand there. the moment has passed. yet again reminded of your fate.
he looks at you again with a soft yet slightly sad smile. "well, my dear, are you ready to face our imminent doom while getting stupidly drunk with my family?"
you laugh slightly at his dry delivery and grasp his hand in yours.
"ready as i'll ever be."
.
.
.
the ceremony is sickly sweet, perfect for the match-up that is luther and sloane. the way they look at each other during their vows pulls on your heartstrings. but you have to remind yourself that you're happy for them. there's no point in being jealous or sad now.
after the ceremony, you and your merry band of heroes make it to the dance floor, with you and allison heading straight to the drinks table. you watched her as she downed her glass in a few seconds, feeling bad at the state of the woman who you've come to know as a close friend. but if you were in her position you would have gone off the rails long ago. a voice in the back of your head tells you you have.
the reception is lovely, and the bride and groom very much in love despite the weirdness of it all. and the fact that they choose to prioritize and focus on their love rather than the apocalyptic events happening just outside…it gives you a sense of hope.
when reginald gives his speech it's safe to say everyone in the room is stunned. you've barely gotten to know three variations of the hargreeves patriarch but you know that he's far from a pleasant person. during late nights doing paperwork at the commission you and five would share stories about your respective childhoods, with his being as dark as you expected from the stand-offish man. but it felt nice to know that he trusted you so deeply.
after the initial reception, there's some downtime for everyone to indulge in the surprisingly above-average food from the hotel's bar and restaurant. you get yourself a plate before sitting at a table near the back of the room, silently eating and drinking and observing the family around you.
you're interrupted by lila pulling out and sitting in the chair next to yours, sitting sideways to look you dead on.
“would you please stop with the puppy dog eyes and make a move on that little turd? seeing the two of you dance around each other has made me sick for years.”
your voice sputters as you try to come up with an excuse, having not expected the girl to call you out so brazenly. she raises her eyebrows as she knows she got you stuck and you let out a sigh.
“it wouldn't matter if i did. even if he felt the same we’re all going to die in a day's time. and id rather not spend this last day with him awkwardly.”
“so you're going to die wondering? never knowing if he liked you back? and i thought i was dumber when it came to relationships.”
“that's still debatable.”
“hey!” she lightly punches you in the shoulder, laughing at your slight wince. “you know im right. not to get sappy but… it's much better when they know how much you care.
as she speaks her gaze wanders over to diego and you have to hold yourself back from rolling your eyes at the sight of their barely hidden lovesickness.
you were close to brushing off her comments again when her arm quickly juts out to knock into yours, lifting her chin slightly to the left. you turn your head and none other than five stands beside you, his hands stuffed into his jacket pockets before one comes out to lay flat in front of you.
“would you care for a dance, y/n?”
with his abnormally soft smile (and lila’s not-so-subtle jab to your other arm), you accept his offer and gently place your hand in his so he can lead you to the dance floor. you can’t help but notice how there's a slow song playing and the only other couple on the dance floor are the newlyweds.
he turns from leading you to standing right in front of you, the closeness taking you by surprise. he smiles at you, moving your hands to wrap around his arms as his go around your waist and shoulder.
“a waltz? seriously? you always seemed to hate those at the company dances.” you tease.
“probably because gertrude wallhaven would always try to dance with me.”
“she just had a little crush on you. lots of the women did. you were the five hargreeves, after all.”
five smiles at your words, starting the slow dance that you know by heart. “is that a bit of jealousy i hear?”
you scoff and roll your eyes. five always was a tease when he drank. “you’d like it to be, wouldn't you? ever the conceited one.”
he huffs a short laugh, swinging you around quickly so you do the same. “well, that is one reason.”
“and what may be the other one, if you would be so kind as to inform me.” you smile up at him, the alcohol starting to take an effect on you and cause you to become more open than usual.
“that I'm deeply in love with you and its been driving me crazy-ow!”
your mind is completely blank for a few seconds before you realize that not only have you stopped dancing but you that you also just crushed five’s foot with your own.
“oh my god, five, im so sorry,” you quickly trying to apologize and help your struggling partner. he stands up as straight as he can, slightly bent on his right side as he waves your worries off.
“peter donahue always did say you had a killer stomp on the dance floor. now i can see why he kept going to the infirmary.” five gives you a strained smile, taking your hands in his again.
“just another one of my many talents.”
you both restart your dance, this time with no words shared. five occasionally tries to hold eye contact with you, and you make sure to avoid it every time. you don't know what to make of his confession. if it was heartfelt or a spur-of-the-moment confession that was given since you would all be dead within a day. you knew as soon as you looked into his bright eyes you would crumble.
but five knew that like he knew everything about you. he took your hand and grasped your fingers together before bringing your arms above your heads and bringing them down between you, and you cant help but stare into his eyes as he does the same.
“please tell me you meant it. because if you didn't then i don't know what i’d do.” you plead, grasping his hand to your chest.
“do you remember that mission in bali, where we had to terminate that guy who found a cure for cystic fibrosis? we there for maybe two hours and you kept complaining about the heat.”
“it was a steady 80 degrees and we were wearing commission suits, of course i was miserable.”
“im aware. it was when we finally killed the guy and you took some of his cash to get some better clothes and you somehow managed to convince me to come down with you to the beach. we were sitting in the sand and it was annoying as all hell but you seemed so happy that i couldn't even complain. and i just knew.”
your chest tightens. “knew what?”
“that i loved you. that i still do. and that i’m an idiot for waiting so long to tell you. guess our impending doom and the cheap liquor finally gave me the courage to say something.” he finishes, holding you close as you stand in the middle of the dance floor. you know some of his siblings are bound to be staring because of the close display but you can find it in you to care. all that matters is that you finally have the love of your life in your arms, even if just for a short while.
“not to be pushy but i haven't heard an “i love you” back so im getting pretty worried over here.” five jokes, staring at you with love but worry in his eyes
you laugh at five’s joke, bringing your lips to his cheek to give him a short but sweet kiss. “i love you too, partner.”
“good. now, what do you say we get drunk off our asses and have the best night of our lives with my dysfunctional family?
you smile. “i couldn't ask for anything better.”

five x reader - looks
Even after running for his life several times, he had never felt his heart beat as fast as it did when she stepped out of the elevator. She looked at Sloane, continuing her duties as her maid of honor as she made one final adjustment to the bride’s dress. He looked at her.
Her eyes shone with a certain joy; one that was rare to see mere hours before the end of the world. Maybe it was the way her dress hung softly on her hips and shoulders, or the way her hair looked shiny and soft. Maybe it was how the light reflected off of her face, accentuating her beautifully done makeup.
Maybe it was just her.
When she stepped out, she walked to Five. Their hearts thumped so loud, they were silently hoping the other person couldn’t hear it.
“You look… great.”
“So do you, did you try something new with your hair?”
“Yeah, Klaus insisted on styling it. He said it made me look like a ‘sexy little grade school boy.’”
She chuckled at that. She took his arm and sat down next to him.
The ceremony was beautiful. He knew he should be paying more attention to his brother, but he kept sneaking glances at her. During the vows, the newlyweds were tearing up. She was too. He immediately noticed, and grabbed her hand to trace small, comforting shapes on the back of her hand. She put her other hand on top of his, turning her body into him. Resting her head on his shoulder, he was overjoyed.
He would never let her know that, though.
Well, at least when they were sober.

Bubba's Work
Diego doesn't take Grace's passing very well. He doesn't talk or get up or do anything. Allison and Luther both try to get him up and moving but nothing works. It takes one sparkly drug addict to get the knife slinger out of the ditch. Lots of crying and cuddling.
______________________________________________________________
——————————————————————— “Diego? Hey Di, I brought you a milkshake. You want it?” Klaus said as he walked into the darkened room.
Diego hadn’t handled Grace’s passing very well. Grace was the glue that held the family together. No one took it harder than Diego though. He was Grace’s boy. Everyone else called Grace Grace but Diego always called her Mom or Mama. No one had seen him in a few days.
He wasn’t eating, he wasn’t sleeping. He was just crying and grieving in his childhood bedroom. He wouldn’t talk to anyone who came to check on him. He refused to eat anything his siblings brought him.
Klaus was the last one to come visit him. He knew a lot about death and he knew it was time to be there for his prickly brother.
Diego was sitting on his bed, staring blankly at his drawn curtains. Klaus walked up to him until he was standing in front of his brother.
Diego just kept staring forward, staring right through the slimmer man.
“Diegooo~ cmon buddy.” Klaus said as he lowered himself down until they were face to face. Diego looked up at him. His eyes were red from crying and he looked terrible. He looked exhausted and sad and well shitty.
“You look like shit. When did you last sleep? Or bathe? We gotta get you fixed up, man.” Klaus took Diego’s face in one of his hands. He turned Diego’s head left and right, examining him. Diego just looked at his brother.
“T-to-t-took a sh-shower tu-tu-Tuesday. Do-don’t nee-need to sleep. Just t-tired.” Diego said in such a scratchy tone. He probably hadn’t talked in a few days.
“Tuesday? It’s Monday. So a week without a bath or shower or washing up? You’re in worse shape than I thought. Well, how about you drink this, it’s your fav! Vanill and PB! Well your old favorite at least. I’ll run a bath so we can get you less stinky.” Klaus was planning. He’ll get Diego to eat and then when he’s getting clean Klaus can change the sheets and clean up this room.
Klaus loved Diego more than he loves anyone of his other siblings (void Ben. Ben's always gonna be his favorite). He hated seeing him like this. Diego looked so empty, so broken. Klaus needed to help him.
Klaus brought the Styrofoam cup up to Diego’s face.“Th-tha-nks-s I-I j-jus-s-s-t.” Diego shook his head. Stuttering made him feel bad. He felt terrible. He wants help but. He’s so tired. He wants his mom's love. And that makes him sadder.
“You just need some help. It’s okay Diego. I know you're sad. I know. Just drink up. We’ll go from there.” Klaus gave him a sad smile. Klaus then stood up and patted Diego on the shoulder. Diego nodded and took a small sip of the milkshake that was placed in his trembling hand.
“We’re gonna be okay, Di. We’ll be alright, honey.” Klaus rubbed Diego’s back for a moment before walking off to the bathroom to fix a bath. Diego felt a bit better. Klaus was the most motherly of all his siblings. More motherly than the actual mother- but that doesn’t matter. Klaus is just so gentle and caring towards Diego. Always has been.
Diego thought about all the times Klaus had acted like this as he drank his milkshake.
Klaus took care of him when he had the flu, brought him soup and gave him fresh sheets and blankets when he sweated through them. Or when Diego had cut himself pretty bad on his hand and Klaus snuck out to check on him at night and gave him a kiss to make it feel better. Or the few times Klaus snuck to Diego’s bedroom just to hold and cuddle him. Just to show some love after he got dumped or Dad had yelled at him.
Klaus walked to the bathroom and thought of ways to make his baby brother feel better. He was perfectly aware they were all born on the same day but Diego will always be the baby brother. Klaus knew what it feels like to feel hopeless and alone and just empty like you don’t even want to move to do anything.
Klaus started filling the bath with nice warm water. He added a bit of lavender scented bubble bath. He fixed a bath mat and grabbed two towels from the towel rack and walked back to Diego’s room.
“All set bub, I’m gonna throw these in the dryer so they’ll be warm when you get out. I’ll check on you and if you need me just call me. You need help getting there?” Diego shook his head but paused and shrugged. He might need help. Klaus stood and watched Diego. He watched the other pull his sweater off and take off his socks. He looked weak and wobbly. He was weak from not eating and not sleeping and he was stiff from not moving for days on end except to use the bathroom.
He watched as he stood up and pulled down his pants and kicked them off. Diego bent to pick up his dirty clothes and put them in his hamper but he almost fell doing so. Klaus was at his side in a second, holding tightly onto his arm.
“I’ll get those. Easy Diego, easy. Let’s get you to the bath and I’ll take care of it all. Breathe. Diego breathe. Oh come here.” Diego stood and he felt so crushed. He couldn’t even do his own laundry. He held his breath and tried to will the tears away that were prickling his eyes. Klaus’s calm voice broke the dam through. Soon tears were rushing down his face and he sucked in air.
Klaus held him close to his chest. Diego wrapped his arms around his big brother's shoulders. Klaus held Diego close, supporting a lot of his weight. Klaus could feel Diego’s tears and his heaving breaths. Diego sobbed and shoved his face in his brother's neck.
“It’s okay Diego. It’s okay, I’m right here. Let it out. You’re alright, you’re okay bub.” Klaus shushed him and talked quietly until Diego stopped sobbing. He still shook slightly and his grip was loose.
“Alright ya big stinky, time for a bath. Lean on me. You want a towel? Just till you get to the bathroom?” Klaus moved them so Diego had one arm over Klaus’s shoulders and Klaus had an arm around his waist.
Klaus grabbed the two towels and threw one over Diego’s shoulders, giving him a bit of modesty if anyone were to see him walk the hall. Diego had always been a prude, not allowing anyone to see him in just his underwear.
The two made their way to the bathroom that was now full of lavender scented steamy air. Once Klaus closed the door Diego sat on the closed lid of the toilet.
Diego looked at Klaus as he felt the heat of the water and took the towel from the knife slingers shoulders.
“Now careful in the bath. I’m gonna throw these in the dryer and fix your bed. I’ll check in with you in a moment, dear.” Klaus said as he turned to leave. Diego nodded and peeled off his briefs and carefully climbed into the perfectly warm bath.
Klaus made quick work of putting the towels in the dryer and clearing his baby brother's bed of dirty sheets and tear soaked blanket. He threw away all the crusty tissues and got rid of what he assumed was a bowl Diego must've been puking in, he just trashed it. He pulled on new sheets and a fresh blanket and stopped. Diego didn’t have a TV. He had a TV in his bedroom. Maybe Diego would enjoy staying in Klaus’s room with him? They could watch a show and cuddle up. Or at least keep Diego close for the night.
Klaus decided on that and walked to his room. He brought a few extra blankets and a few extra pillows. He pulls and puts fresh sheets and pillows cases onto his bed.
When he finished, Klaus made his way back to the dryer and back to the bathroom. He knocked lightly at the door.
No one answered.
“Diego? I was thinking you could stay in my room. We can watch a movie. Sound good?” Klaus asked as he peaked around the door. He didn’t see his brother.
“Diego? Where are you? Diego?” He asked as he stepped up to the tub. There he was. Face down head between his knees. Klaus put his hand lightly on his brother's shoulder. Diego lifted up.
Klaus spoke softly. Like he was speaking to a small child.
“Diego time to get out. Warm towels are on the rack. I’m gonna bring you some clothes.” Klaus said as Diego looked at him. Diego took a few big silent breathes.
“Th-thank y-you. I he-heard-d y-y-y-you. W-we sh-should wat-tch a a a movie.” Diego smiled a tiny bit. He tried. He feels a lot better. He was clean and warm and he felt safe. Safer. Klaus smiled and left.
Diego climbed out of the bath and pat himself dry and then wrapped himself in a big warm towel. He always liked the towels Klaus got, they were fluffy and much bigger than regular towels. Diego could actually wrap them around himself.
Klaus soon returned with a pair of briefs, pajama pants, and a hoodie he found in the laundry that was probably used to be Luther’s given the size of it.
“Here we go sweet Di! Luther won’t mind you wearing one of his old hoodies. Do you want help or can you do it?” Klaus asked as he placed the clothes on the sink within Diego’s reach. Diego nodded.
“I c-can do-do it.” Klaus nodded and left and waited outside the bathroom door. Soon enough Diego wobbled out dressed. His legs were still weak and stiff from not being used in days.
“My room’s all done up so you just lay down and I’ll be right back once I’ve cleaned up the bathroom. Maybe you wanna stretch out a little. Move around a bit. You can go ahead and queue something up if you’d like.” Klaus explained as they made their way to Klaus’s own room. Diego had to stop once because he got lightheaded.
Once they got there Diego rested against the pile of pillows so he was sat up. Diego reached and touched his toes. He did simple stretches to loosen his sore muscles. Klaus hurried back and put the used towels in the wash and drained the tub.
Once he was back Diego had Netflix pulled up on the TV.
“Hey bub do you want anything? You can have anything you want. I’ll go get something from the corner store if you like.” Klaus said as he sat next to Diego’s hip. He placed an inky hand on Diego’s scarred and callused one.
“I do-don’t- don’t want y-you to le-leave.” Diego looked shy. Klaus thought it was quite cute. He always thought Diego was cute. Cute like a baby or a puppy.
“I won’t leave you Diego. I’ll stay here but do you mind if I go get some stuff from the kitchen? I’ll still be in the house and I’ll be able to hear you if you need me. I’ll get you something small to eat. Poor baby, you need to eat.” Klaus patted Diego’s grumbly tummy. Diego nodded. It’ll be okay if Klaus went to the kitchen. He just wanted Klaus to come and hold him. He was so tired and weak and sad and he just wanted. He wanted mama but he couldn’t have his mama.
Klaus pulled a blanket up to Diego’s chest and he quickly made his way to the kitchen. Allison was sitting at the table talking to Luther. “Hey Klaus what’re you up to?” Allison asked with a small smile. Luther looked up at him too.
“Just uh caring for Diego. Getting us some snacks.” Klaus said as he grabbed a few water bottles from the fridge. A few with twist caps and a few with suck tops. He stepped to get a few things from the cupboard.
“He’s up? I checked on him a few days ago and he was just laying there. Shoes and all. Is he talking yet?” Allison asked. She looked surprised. Luther nodded.
“Yeah I don’t think he’s even went to the bathroom. He’s like. Out of it.” Luther added.
Klaus came and leaned his hip on the table.
“Oh yeah I got him up and bathed and he’s staying in my room for a tick. We’re gonna watch a movie. He’s really out of it, poor thing. He did drink a milkshake I brought him though. He really was Grace’s boy.” Klaus said sadly. Allison and Luther both nodded and Klaus left with a armful of snacks and water.
“Hey bub, you want me to come cuddle or do you wanna be left alone?” Klaus said as he fixed the snacks and drinks on his side table. Diego had pulled up some action movie and had curled up with watery eyes by the time Klaus got back to him.
“C-cudd-ddle please. ‘M sad.” Diego said as he moved so Klaus could slide beside him on the bed.
Klaus brought a suck top bottle and a bag of gummy bears. He moved Diego until the sad man was resting against his chest, sitting between his legs. Diego relaxed against his brother's chest. Klaus liked having Diego’s weight against him. Big and muscled and warm. Diego was all bundled in the big hoodie and blanket.
Klaus pressed play on the movie as he brought the water bottle up to Diego’s face.
“Drink some water, dear. You need it.”
Diego liked Klaus’s flowery way of talking. Liked his quiet and gentle voice. Like mama. Diego melted completely against Klaus. He didn’t have a mama anymore. Didn’t have someone to hold him close and tell him he’s a good boy. No one to patch him up and kiss his booboos. No one to love him. That hit him like a ton of bricks.
Diego started crying again. He let out small sniffles.
“Diego? Oh poor baby, come here. Come up here. I know, I know, you miss Gra- mama. I know you miss your mama.” Klaus pulled Diego until Diego was sat sideways in his lap. Diego whimpered into Klaus’s neck. Klaus rocked the crying boy and whispered lightly to him. Trying to calm him.
“I w-wa-wa-wan-ant m-m-ma-mama. I w-want m-my ma-mama” Diego grabbed the front of Klaus’s sweater tight in his hands as he started sobbing.
“I know baby, I know you want your mama. I know you miss your mama. But she’s not here anymore. You just have me to take care of you. You want me to take care of you like mama would? Want me to wrap you up and hold you? Would that make you feel a bit better, baby?” Klaus rocked back and forth until Diego’s grip loosened on his sweater.
Diego looked fluffy. His hair was sticking out in every direction. And he looked so soft. So vulnerable. He looked so small and sweet.
“Yeah I knew it. Come here then. Poor baby. I know you don’t feel good.” Klaus said as he brought Diego down so he was resting against his chest and side. He brought the water bottle back to his mouth and Diego took it between his lips.
“Drink it Diego. Good boy.” Diego took a few drinks of the water before pulling back. His cheeks were red and splotchy and his face was wet with tears and a bit of snot. Klaus wiped his face with his sleeve.
“Poor baby, sleep. Sleep and when you wake up we’ll get you some dinner.” Klaus said. His heart ached seeing his brother so vulnerable and small.
Diego snuggled close and brought his hoodie covered hand up to his mouth. Just covering his mouth and nose with the fabric.
“Bub... poor baby bub...” Klaus said as he rubbed Diego’s back.

Just You and Me
Pairings — Ben Hargreeves x GN!Reader
Summary — Ben didn’t know how long he had left to live, he didn’t get to say everything he wanted to tell you.
Warnings — swearing, mild angst towards the end, mention of death, tell me if I missed any <3
A/N — this is my first official post on tumblr! I’m sorry to the ones who wanted the heavy angst but that’s not until part two (if you want a second part). This is a different writing style than what I’m used to, please give any constructive criticism. Y/n’s pronouns are they/them and Klaus’s pronouns are he/they.
Tumblr media
Being Reginald Hargreeves's child isn't easy. Constant training, missions left and right, it all seems endless and you'd never have a normal childhood. His children have several ways of coping.
Klaus sneaks out of the house to go to parties, intoxicating himself with liquor and weed.
Luther and Allison spend too much time together to forget and run away from responsibilities.
Viktor plays violin because he was convinced he was ordinary, powerless, and different from his siblings. This made him question why Reginald had him to begin with.
Diego distracted himself with anything he could. He would go out and look for conflict just so he could end it and save the day. He needed action, he needed something to keep his mind racing so he won't worry about his home and relationship with his father. He needed praise to feel validated, some would say he has and is experiencing some sort of hero syndrome.
Ben? He loved to paint and sketch. He would lock himself in his room for hours just to be alone to create art. There were papers taped to the wall, canvases hung from several of his works.
"I don't understand the craze with glazed donuts. I really don't." Klaus bit into a fresh jelly donut, rolling his eyes back as he savoured the flavour that exploded into his mouth.
The children escaped again.
They snuck out to have donuts and coffee. It was tradition, and somehow they get away with it. Every 12th of the month at 10:00pm they would leave the house and walk to Griddy's Doughnuts.
"Glazed donuts are amazing. They're simple yet sweet," Ben defended his regular order, taking small bites to properly enjoy the donut while he watched Klaus finish his in two bites.
"That's disgusting." Allison laughed, eying her sibling.
"What's wrong with it?" Klaus licked their fingers, downing their cup of coffee all in one. "It's less messy that way."
"No, it isn't!"
Ben began to slowly drown out the sounds of his siblings arguing. His attention made its way across the cafe, his gaze falling upon a teenager who sat alone at a booth. He could've sworn he's seen them before, he could've sworn they met, but at the same time, he knew for a fact that this was his first time laying his eyes on you.
"..Ben? Ben? Earth to Benerrino!" Klaus waved their hand in front of him and he finally snapped out of it when you looked back at him.
"Sorry?" Ben blinked a few times, looking at his sibling as he held his cup of tea in both his hands.
Klaus raised an eyebrow, looking back to see what Ben had been staring at. A smile was brought to his face when he turned back to look at Ben, eyes going wide. "Ben! You think that person is cute, right?"
"Shh! Shh!" Ben clasped a hand over their mouth, glancing over at the teenager to see if they heard.
And sure enough, you did.
"I'm flattered." You said, earning the attention of all six Hargreeves siblings. "Thanks, Ben."
Number Six seemed to stop working for a moment. His eyes widened as he stared at you in shock, face covered with a cherry red hue. "Y-Yeah. Yeah, you— yeah." He smiled and nodded, sipping from his cup as he turned away.
"Bennerino~" Klaus gave his brother a wink, sticking his tongue out as he paid for his snacks.
"Klaus!" Ben whisper-shouted, giving them a death glare as he finished his cup of tea. One after the other, each sibling finished, paid, and walked back home.
Ben couldn't help but spare a glance, looking back at you as he and his siblings exited the shop.
When he looked back at the path in front of him, he caught Klaus's stare in his peripheral vision. He gave them a scoff, rolling his eyes as he stuffed his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket, darting away before Klaus could annoy him with their bickering.

Being Reginald Hargreeves's child isn't easy. Constant training, missions left and right, it all seems endless and you'd never have a normal childhood. His children have several ways of coping.
Klaus sneaks out of the house and attends teenage parties while doping and drinking himself silly.
Allison and Luther spend inordinate amounts of time together letting their responsibilities slip their minds.
Viktor plays the violin because he believes he is unexceptional, weak, and distinct from his siblings. He knows he's different and every day he asks himself why Reginald chose to keep him, or why Reginald even took him in the first place if all Viktor ever got was neglect.
Diego tries to divert his attention from his family life in every way he can. He needs action to keep his mind active. He needs validation to keep going. He needs to be seen as a hero.
Ben creates art.
Ever since that day at the cafe, you didn’t leave his mind. He dedicated his free time to a new work of art. The inspiration was you.
His delicate fingers held the piece of charcoal in a gentle, yet firm grip. With every stroke, a distinct mark was left behind. He made each line unique from the one previously. His movements were smooth, not a muscle was tensed.
When he finished, he took a deep breath. The fresh oxygen from his open window filled his lungs before escaping his lips, dusting off the excess charcoal on the page. Ben smiled at his piece, gliding the tip of his index finger along the jawline of the teenager on the paper.
It was you, the one from the cafe.
He looked out the window. He watched as the sun painted the molten sky with various reds and oranges along with dashes of purple and pink. It was a work of art within itself.
He glanced over to the clock on his wall, then back out the window. He carefully rolled the drawing in his hands, stepping outside of the window and using his tentacles to make his way down onto the grass.
He looked behind himself, searching for any sign of life through the windows of the Hargreeves Mansion. When it was clear, he ran out of the gate.
Ben sat at Griddy's Doughnuts, a cup of tea placed in both his hands while a glazed donut sat in front of him on a ceramic plate.
"You're alone?"
Ben snapped out of his thoughts, looking at the owner of the voice.
"Yeah," he responded.
Agnus knew the Hargeeeves siblings would always come in packs, she found it strange how there was only one of them at the counter. "Are you okay? Did something happen?"
Ben smiled. "Nothing bad, no. Thank you for asking, though." He hadn't remembered the last time someone asked him if he was okay and meant it. The question was simple, but hearing the sincerity behind it was enough to make him smile.
He sat there and waited. The drawing was by the plate, and he began to ponder; he began to overthink. He hadn't talked to you and he already drew you. He didn't have bad intentions, but he didn't want it to come off as creepy. He began to have second thoughts, like he was doing something wrong.
Ben finished up his tea and donut. He grabbed the drawing and placed some coins on the table before leaving the cafe. His head was down, almost ashamed even though he did nothing wrong. He pushed the door open and collided with someone.
He gasped and dropped the piece of paper and watched it fly away in the subtle breeze. Before he got to react, someone grabbed it. He looked at the person and froze.
"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." You sheepishly smiled. The paper was unrolled you looked at it.
"I am so sorry." Ben bowed down to show respect. "I know it might be creepy but I promise I'm not a creep. I mean no harm, I just- I just thought that you were—"
"Cute?" You recalled what Klaus called you.
Ben stood up straight, looking at you with cherry-stained cheeks. He said nothing, not denying nor confirming the assumption.
"That's what your brother said last week." You scanned the piece of art, a 'wow' falling under your breath before you handed it back. "You're talented. I can't even draw a straight stick figure. I envy you."
"You? You envy... me?"
"Yes."
"You don't think I was being creepy?"
"No, not at all."
"Are you sure?"
"Stop overthinking it, Ben." You took a step towards the door of the cafe. "I hope to see you around more often."
Ben stilled as the corners of his lips formed a smile. He nodded, then his expression dropped, watching you walk into the shop. "Wait! What's your—"
"Y/n."
Ben paused, "Y/n?"
"That's my name."
The smile returned to his face, "thank you."
You waved, finally walking through the doors and sitting at his usual spot by the window. You looked at Ben, an instant smile lit up your face when he looked back. You held a hand up and waved, earning a rather excited wave back. You began to wonder if you would ever get a moment with Ben, even if it was just to sit together and have coffee; as friends. "There's nothing wrong with having a glazed donut."
— ( ☂︎ ) —
"See, Klaus? Even Y/n agrees that glazed donuts are amazing." Ben defended his favourite treat, biting out of the freshly glazed donut.
"I said there's nothing wrong with a glazed donut. I didn't say they were amazing." It didn't take long for you to get along with the Hargreeves siblings. Especially when Klaus kept nagging Ben to invite you.
"Ha! Y/n agrees with me!" Klaus slammed his hand against the table.
"Hey, woah, woah. I didn't say that either!" You laughed along with the others, heart filled with joy and happiness. You didn’t remember the last time you hung out with other teenagers and felt like you belonged.
"Guys, we should head out." Allison said, "it's getting late. Ben hurry up, it's two more bites. Today is on me." She pulled her wallet out.
"I can pay for my own. Thank you, though, Allison." You only had a chocolate donut. You were smart enough not to have caffeine pumping in your veins before bed.
"You guys can go out, I'll meet you there." Ben looked at you, then Klaus. Klaus smirked back, to the point where their ears began to lift.
You thought you were included in the 'you guys', so you shuffled around to get your wallet back in your pocket. Ben noticed this and quickly took your wrist.
"Not you." He spoke firmer than he intended, "please." His voice softened as he let go of your wrist, bashfully looking at the bottom of his glass while he took another bite of his donut.
You locked eyes with him, then you fell silent, sitting back down with cheeks tinted pink. “Why me?”
Ben turned away again, it was just his timid nature, this boy can never keep eye contact for too long without freaking out. “I was wondering… maybe on Friday we could meet up again?”
“This Friday? I thought Luther had something important coming up. His personal training with your father? That poor guy is going to overwork himself all day…” you looked out the window to look at the Umbrella Academy’s number one. “So we’re just gonna leave him out? If he finds out he’ll be heartbroken.”
“No, uhm…” Ben tapped the edge of his cup. “I was actually hoping it would be us? Just you and me.”
“Just you and me?” Your eyes seemed to light up the second he spoke. The most foolish smile crawled onto your face as you nodded. “Yeah.”
“Yes?”
“Yes.” You nodded, “I would love that. Just you and me.”
Ben’s heart beat out of his chest. Oh, he was such a loser in love. He nodded frantically, finishing the rest of his donut quickly. He covered his mouth as he chewed, shy and polite. He then made his way outside.
“Ready?” Allison motioned for the others to follow her as Luther walked by her side, leading the siblings back to the mansion.
“I’ll see you! Friday at noon!” Ben walked with his siblings with a hand in his pocket, the other one waving goodbye.
“Friday! Noon!” You carried through with his energy and waved back. Then you turned on your heel and went home.
— ( ☂︎ ) —
“You’re not going to get in trouble, will you?” Your cup of coffee was finished about an hour ago. An hour ago was also when you and Ben agreed to go back home and call it a day. You didn’t even recall how the conversation kept going, but it did.
“I should be fine,” Ben glanced at the clock, then back at his empty plate that once had two donuts on it. His signature glazed donut and your vanilla-sprinkled one. You got a different donut each time you came. “Thank you for coming with me today.” Words couldn’t express his gratitude, “I’m not saying that I don’t like coming here with my siblings, it’s just… good to have a real friend.”
Your heart warmed at his words, “thank you for asking me out, Ben.” You placed a hand atop his. “I really enjoyed spending time together; just you and me.”
“Do you think…” he began, “..we can see each other again? Only if you want to, that is. There’s no shame in rejecting, I don’t want you to feel obliged to say yes or anything—“
“Yes.” You said with confidence, laughing at the way he began to ramble. “I’d love to, Ben.” You gently gripped his hand, “the second date is always better than the first.”
“Yeah,” he nodded, mind empty. All he focused on was the way you hand your hand placed on his. As seconds passed, the words finally registered. “Wait, second date? This— th-this was a date?”
You instantly took your hand away, “that was my impression. I’m so sorry if I assumed wrong. I should’ve asked.” You felt foolish. You felt as though you were making bold assumptions and you read him wrong. Your ego was making the decisions. “That’s embarrassing.” You laughed it off.
“No, no! There’s nothing wrong with this being a date!” Ben grabbed both of your hands, holding them with a delicate grip. “It actually makes all of this ten times better.”
“Really?” A wave of relief washed over you as you emitted a soft sigh. “I don’t want you to feel like you have to lie to spare my feelings. I was getting a bit too ahead of myself.”
“I’m not lying,” he brushed his thumb over the back of your hand. “I mean every word.”
Butterflies swarmed in your stomach. Never once has anyone made you feel this weak in the knees. “Thank you, Ben.”
“Just know that I would never lie to you. Ever,” he moved his hand, linking his pinky with yours as if he was a seven-year-old boy. “Promise.”
The gesture was so small, so childish, “alright, then.” But this pinky promise held a special place in your heart. “Promise.”
— ( ☂︎ ) —
“Can we just stay like this?” He sat beside you on top of a building with the city beneath you. “It’s so much better up here.”
“Don’t you have a training session with your father?” You looked at him, “and you can’t miss it because that’s how you’re supposed to spend the rest of your day?”
Ben didn’t return your gaze, he just looked down at his lap with his legs swinging back and forth on the edge, “..yeah.”
“And if you don’t show up, you’ll get in trouble and he’ll get mad.”
“I know,” his voice was barely over a whisper.
“So… you should go back. I don’t want you to get in trouble with your father.” You carefully took his face in your hand, tipping his head up to look at you. “It’s okay, Ben. I’ll be fine. You can go.”
“It’s just—“ Ben sighed, shuffling around to get comfortable now that he was facing you. “I don’t want to go. If I do, he’s going to make me kill again.”
“Kill?”
He nodded, “and I don’t want to keep doing it.”
You were at loss for words. You couldn’t tell him to ‘not go’, it was his father and he couldn’t just avoid him. You noticed how he began to tremble, his hands shook along with his quivering lip. “Ben.” You held his hands, “you can drop by my place after.”
“It’s going to be late. Your parents won’t notice?” His voice rose in volume, “I-I don’t want to get you in trouble. It’s an inconvenience. It’s fine, I’ll just see you next week. It’s fine, I’ll be fine.”
“I’ll keep my window open for you.”
“No, no. You don’t have to do that. I told you, I’ll be fine.”
“If you say so,” you rubbed your thumb over the top of his hand. “I’m still going to keep it open. Just in case.”
How did he get so lucky? If someone told him one month ago that he’d make a friend that cared about him as a person rather than a member of the Umbrella Academy, he wouldn’t believe you.
“Okay,” he shot you a smile.
That smile never failed to warm your heart. “Now get us down, Benny Boy.”
He slithered his arm around your waist and you secured your hands on his shoulders. Tentacles sprouted from his back and he safely took you down the building.
“I’ve got you,” he noticed how you held onto him with a deathly grip. “I’m not gonna let you go.”
“You better not,” you laughed, burying your face into the crook of his neck with closed eyes. You took a deep breath, taking in the comforting scent that lingered in his skin and clothing.
When he made it to the ground, he ran his fingers through your hair. “You can let go now.”
You reopened your eyes, looking at the boy. The proximity was close, breathtaking. “What if I don’t want to?” You thought out loud, realizing only when his tanned cheeks tinted red.
“Then that wouldn’t be so bad, would it?” You could feel his subtle breath on your skin.
You moved a hand from his shoulder to his chest, “your heart is beating a mile a minute.” You teased.
“Who’s fault is that?” He teased you back, leaning in closer. His eyes fixated on your lips for no more than a ninth of a second before looking back at your eyes.
“Mine,” you admitted with no shame. With every passing second, Ben inched closer to your face. You looked at his lips, then his eyes as you leaned closer to him.
“I’ve never done this before,” he whispered.
“Neither have I.” You matched his tone..
“May I?”
“May you, what?” You teased him once again.
Ben paused, his breath trembled and you felt it. “May I kiss you?”
“You may.”
“Ben!” The boy was taken away from your grasp. “Dad’s been looking for you! He’s not in the best mood today, Benerrino. You know to never keep the old man waiting!”
You couldn’t even say anything, Klaus had already run off with their brother. The only thing you got was Ben’s glance back. He looked as if he was apologizing with his eyes, a deep frown engraved on his face.
“Klaus!” Ben ripped his wrist out of their grip.
“You know how strict dad is. I don’t want him to get mad at you.” He looked back, he saw you turn and walk away. “Oh shit.” He whispered under his breath, “Ben, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine.” His tone was sharp enough to kill. “Let’s just go see dad.”
— ( ☂︎ ) —
You haven’t left your room since you arrived home. You were still salty about the episode earlier with Ben and Klaus. You kept your word and left the window open in case Ben dropped by, but time was ticking.
11:11pm.
Curfew at the Umbrella Academy was two hours ago, so you assumed that Ben wasn’t coming. You swung your legs off the edge of your bed and slowly made your way towards the window.
“Y/n?”
“Ben?” You called out, moving your curtains out of the way. “Holy shit,” you held your hand out and helped him inside. “Careful, don’t sit on the bed.” You kept your voice in a low whisper.
He didn’t speak, he only nodded.
You rushed out of your room to grab a cloth then pulled the wooden chair from your desk when you got back. “Sit here, it’s okay. Just relax.”
“How do you expect me to relax?” His voice instantly broke as tears pooled at the bottom of his eyes. “I’ve been trying to relax, for- for the past two hours!” He was careful not to raise his voice too much.
“Are you hurt?“ You used the cloth to wipe the blood off his hands.
He shook his head.
“Did he hurt you?”
“Not physically.”
“Are you… okay?”
He shook his head, “not emotionally.”
Silence lingered in the air as you washed the blood off his skin. When you finished with his hands you went to his neck, then his face. You stopped for a moment, taking this time to cup his cheek. Ben leaned into your touch, shutting his eyes and placed a hand on top of yours. Tears silently trickled down his cheeks as he took in the comfort of your hand. You began to gently wipe the damp cloth over his blood-stained cheeks.
“Do you think I’m a monster?” He looked at you.
“No,” you stated with confidence, “no you’re not. You’re no monster. It’s not your fault. Your dad made you do it, you didn’t have a choice.” You reassured him the best you could. You’re okay now. You’re safe here.” You whispered sweet affirmations. “Thank you for choosing me, tonight.” When you finished, you placed the cloth on your desk. “I’m glad that you’re here with me, Ben.”
“Me too,” he moved away from your hand and stood up. His eyes didn’t leave yours, not once. “Can I have a hug?” A sob slipped past his lips with his words. You didn’t say anything, instantly leaning into his chest and wrapping your arms around him. He began to cry as he returned the embrace, crumpling your shirt up in his hands.
“I’m here, Ben. I’m not going anywhere.”
“You make me feel safe.” He whispered into your hair, “when I’m with you, the rest of the world melts away. Like nothing else matters but you and me.”
Those butterflies came back. They fluttered in your tummy with excitement and wonder.
“Hey, Y/n?”
“Yes?” You pulled away from the embrace but kept your hands on either side of Ben’s body. You didn’t want to let go of him, not yet.
“I’m really happy that you’re in my life.” He brushed a few strands of hair out of your face. “Being with you makes me feel stronger, and I wish you could see yourself the way I do. Because I can’t think of any word that comes close to the way you make me feel.”
You were at loss for words. You wanted nothing more than to hold him in your arms and keep him safe, away from his stupid excuse for a father. “I don’t know what to say.”
“It’s okay,” his hand rubbed your side. “You don’t have to say anything.” He looked at your lips, “you’re perfect.” His stare dallied before darting up into your eyes. “May I?”
“Yes,” you closed the gap, wrapping your arms around his neck as he engulfed your body with ease. In that moment, it was as if the world stopped spinning; like nothing else in the world mattered.
The kiss lingered, and Ben began to move his lips, slowly running his hands down your body. He held your hips in a soft grasp. Then he finally parted.
“Ben…” his name rolled off your tongue like a melody. You leaned in for another kiss, pushing him down on your mattress. He didn’t have time to react, toppling over with a giggle. “Please stay,” you gasped for air.
“Stay?” He kicked his shoes off and got comfortable on the bed, “are you sure about this?”
“Yes,” you gave him an extra pillow and laid next to him. “I want you to stay.” You snuggled up next to him.
“Hey, Y/n?”
“Mhm?”
“Can I be your boyfriend?”
Your smile lit up the dim room, “yes.” You gave him one last peck on the lips before closing your eyes to fall asleep. There was nothing more comforting than the feeling of his arms around your body, his hand running through your hair as you fall asleep.
But the next day when you awoke, he was gone.
— ( ☂︎ ) —
“Will you stay this time?” You asked for the millionth time as you laid on your boyfriend’s chest, taking a slow and deep breath as you shuffled around to get comfortable. “I want to wake up beside you this time.” The sleepiness was slowly taking over you.
“I’m sorry I didn’t stay,” Ben whispered, “I couldn’t risk my dad catching me out. It was only recently he stopped putting cameras in our rooms, if even one of us gets caught, all of us are busted.” He was truly sorry. He wanted to wake up by your side. He wanted to wake up with you in his arms. But he couldn’t risk getting his siblings in trouble.
“Cameras in your room?” Your voice was groggy, you didn’t even pay attention to what he said, you stopped processing what he said after ‘cameras in our rooms’. “That’s messed up,” your words were slurring together.
“Sleepyhead, just close your eyes and rest. You need it.”
“Mnn…”
The sound of your gentle snores filled the darkened room. He fixed his position, looking down at you while keeping you secure in his arms. His lips formed a frown as he moved bits of your hair out of your face. He planted a delicate kiss on your forehead, sighing deeply, “God, I love you…” if he got caught, his father would be furious. He knows that he’d be forbidden from seeing you, and he didn’t want to risk it. He got himself in a mess, a lovely, wonderful mess. Things would be so much easier if he didn’t love you, but he didn’t regret a single thing. He’d choose you over his father in a heartbeat.
12:00am.
He needed to get home, so he did. He carefully placed you down on the bed, properly bringing your blanket to your chin. “I’m sorry, Sweetheart.” He whispered, pressing another kiss on your forehead. “I have to go.” He spoke as though you were awake though you were fast asleep. He walked towards the window, watching as you got comfortable in your slumber. He stood by the window and stared at you. He didn’t move, he didn’t turn away, he just stared at you with pure love. You were the first to treat him right, the first to take care of him out of the kindness of your own heart, the first to truly love him, yet he always left before the morning. Not once have you woken up to him by your side. Did he deserve you.
— ( ☂︎ ) —
“Ben?” You approached him and he and his siblings walked out of Griddy’s Doughnuts. It was their monthly sneak-out plan and for the first time in seven months, you didn’t tag along. “Sorry to bother you, I was going to the library, and… this was close by.”
“Going to the library? This late at night?” His eyes went wide, “it’s dangerous. You don’t know what kind of creeps are out there.”
“I’m fine, Ben. Really, I–”
“Ben, let’s go,” Luther called out.
“I need to go.” He made his way past you, but you grabbed his wrist. He turned to face you, effortlessly prying himself from your grasp.
“Can we go out on Sunday? Nothing fancy, just here.” You looked at the donut shop. “Griddy’s Doughnuts. You get the glazed donut and I’ll get the one with sprinkles?”
He squinted as he listened to you. You were being oddly specific, and it worried him. “No, sorry, I’m busy this Sunday.”
“How about Tuesday?”
“Ben! Let’s go!” Allison shouted.
“I need to go,” Ben took a few steps away from you. “I’m sorry. I’ll see you around.”
“I’ll see you–” midsentence and he was running off. “...around.” You ended up going on Wednesday, but not to Griddy’s Doughnuts. Instead you and Ben crashed in your room for the day. The second he stepped through the front door, the atmosphere changed. You didn’t know what it is, but it was heavier. It was mildly uncomfortable and you could tell Ben felt it too.
“You should go home.” Now you were laying on his chest like you always did whenever he came. You two snuggled up with each other whenever the sun began to set, that hasn’t changed. But today is different: the elephant in the room didn’t want to leave.
“It’s nine. A little early for me to leave, don’t you think?” He muttered into your hair. “Let me stay.” He remembered how you used to always ask him to stay, and now you were the one pushing him away.
You shrugged, “I’m feeling tired. I’m going to sleep early tonight.”
“I’ll stay until you fall asleep,” he brushed the back of his hand on your cheek before holding it.
“You never stay, anyways. It’s fine. Just go.” You moved away from his touch.
That was a first.
“What’s wrong?” Something was in the air before, he knew something was wrong, he knew you knew something was wrong. He acted on it first.
“Nothing.” You dismissed it.
“Y/n, you know you can talk to me.”
You shook your head, pursing your lips as you felt the tears begin to form in your eyes. “We barely see each other anymore,” you muttered, “when we do it’s… awkward. It’s not the same as before.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry.” He shut his eyes, sighing heavily. “I should’ve talked to you earlier. Shutting you out probably wasn’t the best idea.”
“What’s going on, Benny Boy?”
“Us being together… is risky. Especially with my strict dad and all. I feel like I should’ve thought about that before foolishly asking you out.” He couldn’t bear to look at you.
“What are you…” your voice trailed off into utter silence. You looked at him, desperately wanting to meet his gaze. “...what are you implying?” The second those words left your mouth, you wished they didn’t.
“I love you,” Ben began. “I may be seventeen, I may be young, and people say kids like us don’t know what love is. But I know that I really, really love you. You’re the first to see me as who I am. Not just some boy with powers, not the boy in the Umbrella Academy, not Number Six, but you see me as Ben.” He glanced down at you for a moment, but he couldn’t stand that mere second of your pained expression. “I love you, Y/n,” he caressed your arm with his hand, “but if my dad finds out we’re together, he’ll stop us from seeing each other. I’m mistreating you, we don’t see each other as often as we used to because I’m playing it safe. It’s unfair, and you deserve better.”
“Ben, I can wait. I can wait as long as I need to. It’s okay. I don’t mind, I know you’re busy,” you sat up straight, hand gripping his bicep. “I can wait.”
“I don’t want to do this, but it’s better for us to take a break.” His heart sank the moment he finished, finally looking at you. “I’ll come back. When I’m eighteen I can get a bit more freedom. Then we can start seeing each other again.”
You turned away when he looked at you, shaking your head slowly as tears fell from your eyes. You didn’t want this, but you were mature enough to know that he was right. He was in the Umbrella Academy, he has powers, and he isn’t a normal kid. He’s different and you recognized that. You just wished that things were different.
“So… until you’re eighteen, we can’t talk?”
“I didn’t say that,” Ben reassured you, keeping you close. He didn’t want to let go. He felt that if he did, then he’d lose you for good. “I’ll still come by and visit. You can come to Griddy’s Doughnuts with me and my siblings. I’m still going to be here.” He pulled you for a quick yet passionate kiss. “I’m still going to be here, I promise.”
“You better be,” you laughed off your sadness, wiping the tears off your cheeks. “Just stay until I fall asleep. You can go home after.” You closed your eyes and snuggled up to his body warmth. “I love you, Ben.”
“I love you too,” he took slow deep breaths, adjusting his posture for better comfort as he held you.
— ( ☂︎ ) —
You haven’t seen him in two weeks. Not a word from Ben. You kept your window ajar and the lock flipped up. You gave him opportunities to see you, but he hadn’t taken any of them yet. You tried to understand, but you didn’t expect any of this to happen. He promised he’d still be there, but you hadn’t seen him. The two weeks stretched out to three and three turned into four. You showed up at Griddy’s Doughnuts from time to time, and there was no sign of him. You gave up. You didn’t want to wait any longer. He left and didn’t have the heart to properly break it off so instead, he gave you false hope.
That was until October 1st rolled around. You spent the day off at home alone. Your parents were working, busy with their jobs. It was like any regular old day.
Or so you thought.
The knock from your front door bounced off the walls. This day was the last and only day that you had hopes for.
Today was the day Ben turned eighteen.
You rushed to the front door, swinging it open with a smile, “hey, Klaus! Happy birthday!” You stepped out and looked left and right. “Is Ben with you?”
“Not exactly,” Klaus rocked back and forth between his heels and toes. “Can I come in?”
“Yes, of course. Come on.” You ushered them inside, “where’s Ben?”
“Uh…” he took a seat on the couch, motioning for you to sit across from him. “It’s kind of complicated.” He took a heavy breath, scratching the back of his neck as he tried to find his words.
“Just spit it out already,” Ben said, leaning against the wall behind you.
Klaus glared at him.
“Something wrong?” You noticed his facial expression change, looking behind you before back at them.
“No, no, it’s all good. All good,” he leaned back, sighing once more. The atmosphere was dense, he kept looking back and forth between you two.
“Klaus!” Ben was getting impatient.
“Okay! Okay!” Klaus sat up straight then leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees. “Ben wanted to tell you that he’s sorry that he didn’t spend as much time with you as he promised.”
“Ben said that?” You leaned back, arms crossed over your chest. “Why couldn’t he tell me himself? Why did he send you?”
Klaus paused, mouth agape before pursing their lips. “He’s dead.”
He said that so nonchalantly that it didn’t process, “dead?” You scanned your living room, waiting for Ben to pop out from somewhere and tell you that it was some silly prank. “Funny, Klaus. Where is he?”
“No, Y/n you don’t understand.” His head fell into his hands. “Ben died on a mission two weeks ago.” He looked at the ghost that stood behind you, “and he’s sorry. He’s sorry since… y’know, he can’t be here with you. I don’t know why he’s so apologetic, it’s not his fault he died or anything.”
All of this was still too much to process. You were in shock, in heavy denial. “Ben?” You looked at Klaus as if they were a massive liar. “Like… Ben Hargreeves. He died? Two weeks ago?”
“Yeah,” they rubbed their hands together, frowning. “I’m sorry you found out this way.”
“No,” your voice instantly broke and tears spilled out of your eyes as if they were on command. You wiped the oncoming them away with the sleeves of your sweater. You tried to stop them but they kept going. The ache in your heart never stopped, it still hasn’t recovered from the last time you saw him. Hearing this news and knowing you wouldn’t see him again was heart-rending. “No, no, no. Klaus, you’re playing a sick game. You’re getting too good at this shit.” You laughed, leaning back on the couch with your sleeved hand over your eyes. “Please stop it, you little shit. This isn’t funny.”
“I’m not lying! Do you think I’d lie about something like this? My brother’s death? Y/n… it hurts me as much as it hurts you. Ben is gone.” Klaus stayed strong for you, he didn’t show signs of weakness or sorrow. They already spent all of that within the first week, they didn’t need to cry again.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.” You buried your head in your hands, biting on your bottom lip to ease the pain and keep it together. “You've got to be fucking kidding me.”
Ben could see it. He could see how hard you tried to keep it in. He could hear the heartbreak in your voice and the pain in your body language. He moved from behind you to in front of you. He wanted all of this to stop, he wanted your suffering to end. Watching you lament felt like he was shot through the heart.
“I’m sorry,” Ben said, “I really am.” His voice quavered, “I wish things were different, but I did what I thought I had to do.” He reached out to touch your cheek, only for his hand to glow blue as it passed right through you. “If you could see yourself the way I do, then you’d know how much I love you. You’d know how sorry I am, you’d know how much I m-miss you.” He reached out again, but the same thing happened. “I’d do anything to hold you one last time.” He couldn’t bear to speak anymore, his voice cracked and he had to wipe the tears from his eyes. “You don’t deserve any of this.” But he kept talking. He hoped that a miracle would happen, he wanted you to hear him. “Y/n please… please, please. I love you. I love you, please I need you to know.” He reached out to pull you into an embrace, only to feel emptiness in his arms.
“Ben loves you,” Klaus said.
“I know.” You began to question your own statement. You began to question what Ben told you before he left. “Jesus Christ.” You whispered under your breath and stood up, walking right through Ben as you made your way out of the living room. “Klaus just- just leave.”
“But, Y/n—“
“Klaus leave.” Your voice was as sharp as a blade. “Don’t make me say it a third time.” You turned to them with slanted eyebrows. “Leave.”
“I’ll see you around, okay?” Klaus waved as he walked towards the exit. “I’ll see you some other day. Take care of yourself, please.”
You didn’t respond and walked to your bedroom. The second you got in there the door slammed shut. You slid down the wall and tried your hardest to control your breathing, but nothing you did could help. Your hands shook violently as a scream ripped your vocal cords.
Ben’s heart shattered. The agony behind your voice was enough to break him to pieces. He sat on the other side of the door with tear-stained cheeks. If he knew that four weeks ago would be the last time he’d hold you, he’d hold you tighter. If he knew that four weeks ago would be the last time he’d talk to you, he wouldn’t have stopped talking until the both of you were passed out. He would’ve stayed by your side until the sun rose and you opened your eyes.

Being Reginald Hargreeves's child isn't easy. Constant training, missions left and right, it all seems endless and you'd never have a normal childhood. His children have several ways of coping.
Klaus sneaks out of the house to go to teen parties where he overindulges in alcohol and pumps drugs into his veins.
Allison and Luther lock themselves up in a room where they can be alone and undisturbed. This way they can forget about their responsibilities.
Viktor plays the violin because he isn’t special. He isn’t like his siblings, he’s powerless and weak.
Diego seeks attention. Any attention that validates him as a hero is enough to feed his ego.
Ben can no longer hold a pencil or paintbrush the way he used to. All he can do is watch his loved ones suffer and get hurt. Ben’s heart was broken, knowing that he passed on his misery and misfortune to the one he loved most.

Part two? If I write it, it’s going to be a bit more angsty, no fluff, and it’s going to be shorter (hopefully). Tell me if you want to be tagged.
I may or may not already have an idea.

SUMMARY ◆ a part two of closer.
WORDS ◆ 4.9k
NOTE ◆ the people have spoken.
You woke up early in order to get out of the shower, because there was no way that you were going to even attempt to show your face in The Sparrow Academy looking the way that Ben left you last night. When you woke up, you almost thought that you dreamt of the whole thing and it hadn’t actually happened, but when you got into the warm shower and studied your body, you knew that you hadn’t been dreaming at all. What happened last night really happened, and now you weren’t even sure what to do with yourself.
You were supposed to hate Ben. He was the enemy and he was an arrogant asshole that didn’t think about anyone but himself. But when you closed your eyes all you could think about was his hands on your body, reaching for your throat and squeezing, and then pushing your legs apart in order for him to push himself - No. You needed to get your act together and finish your shower. Rinsing off the sweat and whatever remnants he had left on your body as night off, you got out of the shower and wrapped a white towel around you, wringing out your hair and taking a moment to look in the mirror once again in order to think of an idea on how to hide the marks that were high up enough to where you couldn’t hide it with a turtleneck. You knew that there was one in the closet of the room that they had given you while you were held hostage.
The steam from the shower seemed to lighten them a little bit, and it was harder to see his handprints. But they were still there, almost as if they were messages from him that he had been here and there and that wasn’t all that he managed to do with you last night. It was still early and you had yet to hear anyone get up. Rummaging through the cabinets, you were able to find some older looking makeup that matches your skin color fairly enough. You weren’t an expert at covering up bites and marks but you seemed to do a pretty good job, at least enough to where no one would pay much mind. If anything, they looked like similar bruises you had gotten from fighting the Sparrows only a few days ago. You got out of the bathroom and changed into clothing that was tighter fit than your normal clothing, but they seemed to have a niche for it.
Soon enough you could smell breakfast being served, and you finally got the courage to make your way down there. Christopher was there, along with Alphonso, Sloane, and Jayme. Fei and Ben were nowhere to be found and that made you nervous, knowing that they were the only two people who knew of what happened last night. Fei didn’t know that Ben and you had sex, but she definitely knew that you were thinking about Ben more than you should have. Minutes went by and there was still no sign of them and you started to settle, drinking your coffee and helping yourself to the healthy meal that had been prepared by Grace. Sloane was talking about something but you weren’t necessarily listening, especially when finally Ben decided to make an appearance.
He was dressed in a tight dress shirt and those black pants he was always wearing, and his shirt was unbuttoned enough to see the gold chain sported around his neck. You cringed to yourself, rolling your eyes and wishing that you had gotten to mark him up so he wouldn’t be able to wear those dumb shirts for a few days. Ben saw that you were staring and you could’ve sworn you saw a small smirk before he sat down, next to you as always, because why would he dare break up his little tradition now – especially after last night. He remained somewhat quiet, only quipping that you were too slow at passing the fruit bowl and you had half the sense to throw it onto his lap. But you didn’t and instead stayed silent. There was no way that you were going to give him any pleasure by messing with you.
But your plan seemed futile, because Fei turned to face you and asked, “So Y/N, I heard you awake so late last night. What were you up to? We wouldn’t want our favorite hostage plotting an escape so soon.”
You opened your mouth to speak, but was slightly faltering because Ben’s hand came and reached for your thigh under the table. You almost jumped, but composed yourself before doing so and instead glared daggers at him, making direct eye contact as he acted like he was doing nothing. So you turned to his sister, avoiding the fact that Ben’s hand was sliding farther up your thigh, and saying, “No reason. Just couldn’t sleep, that’s all. The city is a lot different than Dallas, I’m not used to it anymore.” It was a good enough cover that for a moment you were almost certain that Fei believed it, but you knew that she was feigning understanding and instead was angry that you were able to dodge the situation. Ben’s hand pulled away and you took a moment to look at him, seeing a slight smirk on his face that he covered up by taking a sip of coffee.
The rest of breakfast was uneventful. Ben didn’t as much look at you let alone even utter a word in your direction, and the rest of the Sparrows went off to begin their day, a lot of them were heading to the rec room to run on the treadmills. That meant that you would be left alone to do nothing, because you didn’t want to train with them, they weren’t your family and they were your captors. So you watched as one by one they left, until it was only you at the table and you finally decided to stand up, walking out of the dining room and into the hallway back to your assigned room. As you were about to turn the corner, you heard two voices talking and quickly realized that it was Ben and Fei.
You halted your movements, pressing your back against the firm wall and slowed your breathing, making sure that you were silent as you listened in on their conversation.
“I heard you.”
“You didn’t hear shit,” Ben countered, his voice laced with the same amount of condescending narcissism you had gotten used to and knew all too well. “Nothing happened after you told me what Y/N was thinking about.”
You sighed to yourself, realizing that Fei was beginning to get even more suspicious. This was the last thing you needed. If they somehow found out . . . It would get to your family and who knows what would happen after that. How were you supposed to explain that you had slept with the enemy? Not only that, but it was Ben, who you thought had been dead for years. It was something that needed to stay a secret. Though by the sound of it, it sounded like Ben was trying his best to cover up what happened.
Fei tutted her mouth. “You act like you’re the leader of this team who doesn’t have a care in the world, you think that you can just parade around in those uptight turtlenecks and everyone will just listen to what you have to say.” You almost wanted to start clapping, Fei was really laying it down on Ben. “But newsflash: No one is going to listen to you if you get caught up in a lie. Now, I don’t care if something happened between the two of you, but her family will. We should send her home.”
“Not until they tell us what happened to Marcus. If you don’t want me to be number one so bad, Fei, then maybe you should be getting information on our brother instead of questioning what I do in my free time,” Ben stated. You heard Fei grumble something that you couldn’t hear and footsteps receding in the opposite direction, which meant that Ben was alone in the hallway. You took that moment to turn the corner finally and come face to face with him, seeing a scowl on his face and his hand clenched up, like he wanted to punch something but there was nothing there for him to hit. “Didn’t anyone tell you that it was bad to eavesdrop on other people’s conversations?”
You shrugged your shoulders. “Wasn’t really that hard. It’s a big house but the walls have a tendency to bounce off sound. I should know, I grew up here just like you. Same old house, same old bullshit.” That part was true, there was just something about this house that sometimes made you think that your dad purposely built it as such. There seemed to always be a reason for things like that. “Plus, if you didn’t want me to eavesdrop, then let me go back to my family. I don’t want to be in this house anymore, it’s like I’m a teenager all over again.” This house brought memories of your childhood that you didn’t want to remember, and it didn’t help that yet again you felt trapped.
“You know that I can’t let you go. Not without Marcus.”
“My family wouldn’t take Marcus, we don’t even want to take part in whatever war you’re trying to wage. My brothers and sister have been through too much.”
Whatever you said, Ben wouldn’t believe you. And you knew that if the roles were reversed, you would probably feel the same way. You would do anything to save your family and you knew that Ben, under all of the egotistical qualities he had, felt the same way about his family. It was hard for you to think of him as an actual person because of the way that he carried himself, but the more you stood in the hallway, looking him in the eyes, the longer you began to understand his motives a little better. You still weren’t sure what he tried to gain from sleeping with you . . . Was there even a motive? Or was he giving into his temptations despite you being the enemy? Despite spending his whole life training to not give into his desires?
This was one of the first moments where the two of you weren’t bickering with each other. The only other time was last night, and even then you two were being mean to each other while fucking. It felt nice to finally let go of all that anger and to just be calm with him. You hated to admit that you liked it. Maybe if he was like this more, then maybe he would be more tolerable.
Ben walked towards you, the dark hallway only being illuminated by the light above the two of you. Your breath hitched in your throat, allowing him to step further until he was a mere few centimeters away from you. He stood taller than you and inched his head down until you were face to face, close enough to feel his breath on your face, the same way it felt last night. It took everything in you not to press your lips against his own. The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife, both of you silently wondering who was going to cave in first. His hand came up to grab onto your cheek and you thought that this was it, Ben was really going to kiss you again. Your eyes fluttered closed and he inched closer . . . closer . . . Your heart was pounding in your chest and your mind went blank. All you could think about was him, touching him, feeling him, allowing yourself to give everything just to him. As your lips brushed his own, Ben pulled away, making you open your eyes and open your mouth to say something. But when you opened your eyes, Ben was already halfway across the hallway and turning the corner. You heard his footsteps recede up a flight of stairs and he was gone, leaving you alone to wonder what the hell was going on.
You pressed your back against the wall and sighed.
-
Ben didn’t show up for the rest of the night. For a moment you saw him at dinner when he requested to have his own sent up to his room. All of this avoidance from him was making you nervous, wondering if there was something that you did wrong to make him angry or upset with you. But there was nothing that you could think of, he had simply changed his mind right before kissing you. It made you curious and also furious, wanting to know why he thought that he had the right to treat you like that. If he didn’t want this to happen, why had he let what happened last night happen? He was playing games and you were through with it.
You left dinner early to confront him, knocking on his door and not giving him the time to answer, instead opening up to his room and closing the door. “What the hell is your issue? First you sleep with me and then once you’re finally getting your way again, you just leave? And now you’re avoiding me,” You stated. “What the hell is wrong with you? I want to go. You’re going to let me go now.”
Ben stood up from his desk. “What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with you? First you come here with your pathetic siblings like a fucked up Brady Bunch claiming that this is your house and then fighting us when you won’t leave. And then you stole my brother, our number one. What the hell is wrong with you?”
“We didn’t take your fucking brother. And why do you even care? You’re not even negotiating with my brothers, you’re just keeping me here. I’m not something that you can just keep forever, Ben, I want to be with my family again and never have to deal with you motherfuckers ever again,” You spat. Your words were harsh but you were so angry. “And what the fuck was that in the hallway?”
He gave a small smirk, like your yelling didn’t even phase him. “You’re mad I didn’t kiss you?”
“That’s not what I-”
“It is what you meant. Just admit that you want it to happen again.”
“I don’t,” You said. “It’s you who made the first move.”
“You didn’t push me away or tell me to leave, you wanted me to kiss you so much that you stood there like a dumb idiot minutes after I left. Just admit it.”
Taking a leap, you started, “I did want you to-”
He didn’t hesitate to give you what you wanted, grabbing your face with both of his hands and moving the two of you away from the door, slowly inching you towards the bed and helping you rest on your back, the silk sheets against the back of your arms and neck. Ben was quick to follow, climbing on top of you and connecting his lips onto the skin right below your jaw. His lips were soft like snowflakes falling onto your skin, creating a masterpiece on your skin like you were his canvas. The other marks that were there from the night before seemed to hum, like your body was excited that Ben was finally back. It sent shockwaves to your core, igniting a feeling you felt only the first time that he had kissed you.
Seeing how well your body responded to him, well, almost drove Ben crazy. You were so willing, so ready for him that his mind became cloudy, the only thing he could make out was his thoughts of you. Nothing about the war between your two families, what would happen if someone were to stumble into the room somehow or if someone heard what you two were doing . . . None of it seemed to matter to him, he just wanted you. His lips trailed down from your jaw to your neck, paying extra attention to the places that made you breathe out more than the others. Your hands found their respective place in his hair, feeling the softness of his hair between your fingers.
Your clothes suddenly felt foreign on your body, you wanted them off, you wanted him off so that you could see all of him again. He seemed to hear your thoughts, humming against your skin and pulling away, pressing a hard, firm kiss to your lips and helping you get out of them, and in turn you helped him get out of his. This time was less harsh than the other time but there was still a sense of roughness. You weren’t sure what you wanted from each other the first time, but this time there was more of an understanding. More of a want.
Ben’s body was like nothing you imagined before. Sure, you had seen him without his shirt on and you had seen a part of it last night but the rest was something you weren’t expecting. He was breathtaking . You knew that he had a nice body because of all the training and countless amounts of physical strain he has been through, but looking at those abs that he had, along with the sun kissed skin he had, you felt your throat close up. The thought of him being on top of you again was driving you crazy.
His hands came to your hips, fingers toying with the fabric of your underwear that was the only thing blocking him from seeing you fully. His eyes scanned you, taking in the sheer and utter beauty before him. He wanted to kiss, lick, and nip on every single inch of skin on you. He wanted to learn each and every single curve, hear every story behind your scars, and know just what touches would have you squirming from underneath him.
Your whole body felt hot, needing to feel the release that was beginning to build up from all of his kisses and your imagination running its course. “Ben,” You breathed out, not knowing how to form into words what you wanted from him. Of course he knew, he could see your eyes filled with a lust, thinking of something almost sinful, something he was sure he was emitting himself. He knew exactly what he was going to do to you so that he could hear the plethora of moans that he knew you had just for him, wanting to hear his name come off of your lips in pleasure.
His head ducked down and kissed your hipbone, fingers hooking under your underwear and slowly sliding them off. Your eyes stayed on his actions, mouth forming into an ‘O’ when you realized what he was going to do. He was going to use his mouth on you. These were only things that you thought in your deepest, darkest fantasies, like he had reached into those parts of your mind and did exactly what you wanted.
As if Ben was just tempting you, he pressed another slow kiss to the inside of your thigh and then did the same thing to the other side. Your hips lifted up only slightly, showing him that you couldn’t wait much longer. A chuckle left him, eyes reaching your own and saying, “Eager?” You weren’t even ashamed when you shook your head, keeping eye contact with him as he licked a bold stripe right up your slit. It felt as if an earthquake hit your body, your back arching and hands gripping onto his hair.
He hummed against you, liking the way that you responded to his actions. If he had it his way, he would sit here with you like this for hours on end, bringing you up to that high place again and again until you were a wrecked mess before him. It made him simply go crazy to think that he was the one to hear those moans and profanities that slipped from your cherry kissed lips. Ben’s own thoughts made him groan out, a noise that you played on repeat in your mind as your eyes screwed closed.
Your thighs quivered beside his face, attempting to squeeze shut so that you could keep him there forever. But his hands came and held them in place, fingers digging into your muscles that gave in to his touch like it was nothing. You were putty in his hands, the only movement you had was your hands pulling on his hair and the arch of your back while he lapped his tongue against you with no mercy.
“Stay still,” He told you, pulling away for a moment to lick what was left of you on his lips. You nodded, chest heaving and heart sinking at the loss of contact. But Ben didn’t leave for long, his mouth on your clit accompanied with one of his fingers circling your entrance. You nearly lost it when he dipped his middle finger in experimentally, gauging your reaction. You could feel the coil in your stomach start to tighten, which only amplified once his finger pushed into you all the way.
You didn’t even attempt to try and censor the obscenities that came out of your mouth, mixed in rhyme with his name. Ben. Ben. Ben. It was the only word that felt real in your mind.
You waited for that final jump towards a euphoric end, but it never came. Instead Ben pulled away from you and his fingers left, making you feel uneasily empty. Opening your eyes, you saw that he was pulling down his boxers, taking his cock into his hands and watching as you almost became slack jawed.
And with all the courage that you mustered up, you gave him a nod, wanting him shamelessly again. You were sinfully feeling like you were Persephone, cutting up her own slice of pomegranate and looking right into Hades eyes as she tasted the fruit, securing your fate that you would stay with him. You would stay with Ben and keep doing this over and over again. Suddenly you didn’t care what your family thought or what anyone thought, you were sealing your fate with him.
He nestled between your legs and you could feel his tip press against your entrance. Air was caught in your lungs, sitting up on your elbows so that you could see as he eased himself into you. A sting of pain and a subtle feeling of pleasure was seated inside of you, watching as his cock was enveloped inch by inch. Ben hissed at the feeling, you were so goddamn tight and he never wanted to stop from being inside of you. Once all of him was inside, he leaned over so his head was in the crook of your neck, pressing a kiss to your searing skin as you adjusted to him bottoming out.
You urged him to continue, thinking that the discomfort would soon go away with time. And you were eager to get all of him that you could, temptation coming forward instead of reason. He pulled out all the way then eased himself back in, continuing the slower pace and watching your reaction before him, your hands reaching to his back and finding their place there. One of his hands kept your legs open, taking you by your thigh and hoisting it up.
It took all that he could muster to not just ram into you, the want starting to cloud his judgment. He wanted to milk every single second of this moment, there wasn’t one thing that he wanted to stop himself from doing. “You feel . . .” He started. “You feel so good.” That alone, along with the raspiness in his voice, made a fire erupt in your stomach. You sighed in response, eyes fluttering closed once again.
And then you whispered, “Go faster, Ben.” You needed him so bad you felt like you were going to explode, lust enveloping the both of you.
He didn’t need to be told twice, and he gripped onto the leg he lifted up, beginning a slightly faster rhythm that had you arching your neck and eyes rolling to the back of your head. Ben was so big, stretching you out in just the right way that had you almost keeling over if he hadn’t had such a tight grip on you. Your one leg wrapped along his waist, heel digging into his back while his pace increased.
This angle he had you in made you yelp and moan shamelessly, not caring if anyone in the house could hear you as you yelled his name like a prayer. His pace finally became a fast rhythm and you found comfort in being able to finally feel nothing but pleasure with every deep stroke he made.
In this place, it was only you and him. Like you were in your own little place of paradise where you could explore each other in every way. There was nothing that could take this moment from you or him, this moment would forever be engraved in your mind for many years to come, remembering the way that he moaned out your name and the way he looked when you opened your eyes to peek at his face. His brows were furrowed, sweat beading on his forehead and mouth spilled open saying nothing but your name.
He made you feel so good, so euphoric that the fire grew and grew, becoming a wildfire raging inside of you. And you looked so heavenly to him, the way that your eyes only looked at him, breasts bouncing with every harsh thrust he gave you. You took him so well, like you were made for only him. His hips brushed against your own, hand coming up to caress your cheek, forcing you to look him in the eyes.
You weren’t going to last much longer. Not with the way that he was pounding into you with sheer force you didn’t know was possible until now. But you didn’t want this to end, you never wanted this to end in fear that things would go back to the way they were before. You would have to try and forget that this ever happened. It wasn’t something you wanted to do and didn’t even know if you had the strength to do it.
You made a guttural noise, teetering over the edge of what felt like a wave of bliss. This was it, there was no way that you could keep yourself from it now. It only took a singular deep stroke of his cock to send you right over the edge, your back arching and body spasming, his name rolling off of your tongue in the most sinful way you have ever said it before. Your hands gripped for any part of him that you could reach, groping his muscles to keep him close to you. He didn’t stop moving inside of you, making you ride it out even harder as he chased his own high.
You were so sensitive as he fucked into you, giving you no mercy. He groaned as you came, watching the way that your eyes screwed shut and mouth opening in as you sucked in harsh breaths. You could feel his cock twitch inside of you and you knew that he was close, wondering if he was going to cum inside of you or pull out before he did. He did the latter, taking one more deep stroke before pulling out. Ben was about to start stroking himself with his hand but you rushed with your own to meet him there, using your own and pumping a few times.
A string of profanities came from his lips as he came, white hot liquid spurting onto your stomach, dripping like beads coating your skin. He had no shame as he shuddered, muscles flexing with every passing second. He drank in your body, seeing how wet you were for him, how soft your hand was on his cock, how much he longed to see you like this more times before you would go back to your family. And soon enough he was finished, the only thing between both of you was both of your panting breaths.
Ben moved to grab something on the floor, realizing that it was the shirt he had on before and moving to wipe your stomach off, dropping it to the floor and coming to lay down next to you. You winced for a moment as you moved to look at him, his own eyes staring at the ceiling. He didn’t push you away or tell you to leave his room. Instead the two of you just laid there with each other, you were listening to his labored breathing finally begin to slow to a normal tempo.
Your mouth opened to say something, but was interrupted by a knock on the door. You jumped and Ben’s hand came to grab onto your arm. “Who is it?” He asked.
“It’s Sloane. Y/N’s brothers are here, they want to talk.”
Your eyes widened. “All of them?” You didn’t even care that she knew you were in there with him, you were sure that the whole house knew at this point.
“Just two. One that keeps asking for coffee and another that keeps playing with his knives.”
Well, this should be fun.
