Kill La Kill - Pre-Final Boss Cutscene [2019]

Man, that final transformation sequence in Kill La Kill was just iconic, wasn't it?

Yes! It's a recreation of the SA2 super transformation scene but with Ryuko and Satsuki transforming into their Senketsu Kisaragi and Junketsu Shinzui (KLK:IF exclusive transformation) forms respectively.

I got inspired by Triple-Q's SA2/KLK video and went and did this. Probably the most effort I had put on a piece up to that point (I really didn't like the part where I had to draw the bodies in that first picture's perspective back then), but it was really fun!

Also bonus original BG color variant I never got to post:

Fun fact: This is how the image was originally but I hue shifted the action lines BG to a bluer overall color that I thought was more representative of KLK's aesthetic

I hope this isn't too invasive, but are you and Lilly still together? I remember way back when you used to post more klk content you would talk about her a lot. Your recent update about changing your icon after all these years got me feeling sentimental about the passage of time and I was just curious. I hope you're still doing alright :)

haha i stopped nonstop posting about lili because we moved in together at the beginning of quarantine 2020 and are about to hit another anniversary together <3 love is real and fujo 4 fujo love is stronger than anything.

i miss being a klk poster bc nothing has gotten me to those levels of passionate insanity since (except for personal stuff i've been working on...) uzunon was so defining for me even if i don't think i'd ship them if i'd watched klk now lmao

i have a weird and brilliant and funny life and i do things i enjoy and still draw and write almost every day! i don't participate in fandom anymore but i miss being in a community of talented and vibrant people all obsessed with the same story and dedicated to sharing their interpretations of it.

i'll be 27 at the end of the month and it's unbelievable that i've been on tumblr for 13 fucking years now. at least i met some lovely people along the way. i hope you're doing alright too anon :)

Alright well, ya'll about to get some fun takes from the man who is known for having the best takes in the universe (this is true I made the rules):

RWBY: The fanbase can either be absolutely fucking toxic to hell and back with little to no media comprehension that makes a goddamn preschooler look like Socrates, or overanalyze everything to the point where they then get pissed that their hyper-specific headcanon isn't canon and there is BARELY any in between.

Sonic: Folks really needs to stop treating the classic games like they're some godly piece of media that cannot be considered bad and that the modern games have ruined them. Ya'll just never played Rush.

Panty and Stocking: Stocking is absolutely more of a sex-freak than Panty is and you will never change this.

Exes: Cringe culture may be dead, but by god ya'll need to come up with better ideas. Stop tryin' to be Lord X 2.0

Hazbin / Helluva: The excuse that Hazbin is for women and Helluva is for dudes is bullshit, let Millie DO something for once.

Studio Trigger: They should honestly make a sequel series to Klk and just go even more nutso than they did the first time around.

Undertale / Deltarune: People overhype Spamton and Jevil a bit too much considering they may not even be relevant in the final release. They're pretty cool though.

Persona: A lot of these games are unfortunately pretty fuckin' dated when it comes to the shit happening in them - I'm sorry folks but Atlas are kinda shitty when it comes to how they portray anyone that isn't straight.

Super Mario Bros: Dimentio is the best Mario villain and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Dragon Ball: When was the last time any of us actually had fun with this series? Like be honest.

Honestly it's the fact that there's really little to no accessibility for finding icons these days. A lot of folks seem to say "Do it yourself" which like, fair dues, but at the same time...Maybe some folks kinda want to be able to do other things outside of slaving away in a photo editing program for hours on end?

This one I'll be more concise with, cuz there's a lot of fandoms I listed: I honestly think that a lot of ships are fine? The only ones that I can think of are those made out of spite or just seem spiteful in nature. Like erasing characters' sexualities or shit like that.

USUALLY I'm pretty open but like...I guess the best example is fandoms for shows that are v e r y kid oriented. Like, I understand some of ya'll are enjoying shows like Bluey and that one with the sentient numbers and...stuff like that?

I DON'T THINK you wanna have some of my muses just sorta showing up and causing shit.

Honestly the only salt I be feeling is when I go to make myself something that takes about 30 seconds and then being told to leave the kitchen by your older siblings. Like, it takes 30 second to cook this shit gimme some room damn you.

also I didn't add it to the tags of that post because, whatever, it feels stupid to add where some random can see it, but i do want to say I'm tired of "oh she can fight but she's still femenine" and I'm always like: where are the non femenine fighters lmao? Where are they.

I don't like it. The aesthetic of maho shojo. When i was a little girl i liked it a bit, but i was never wild for it, and now I just get a bit bored.

Now that i think about it this is a thing of bodytype as well because the non femenine fighters tend to be like... Massive The Rock type bodies which are fine but I'd like more diversity in my butches lmao

In general my ideal woman fighter is a tomboy. But like, a real tomboy. She can be beautiful but she doesn't have to try AT ALL. She must be beautiful the way a boy is, as per the requisites of being a tomboy. Jolyne is... Tomboy-ish? More brass than anything else, and she's a girlie girl previous getting arrested so.

Ryuko from klk was an actual tomboy, and the whole ED of her looking at clothes -> the shoping date -> personal girlie fashion as an allegory for freedom resonated a lot with me [in that context] because I also feel that way in some sort of sense, like if i grew up in a more normal way I'd be different, I would've experimented more.

It's not like I'm not in time but you know.

KLK honestly would be perfect if it weren't for all That. But it's all That that makes it perfect also. The dilemma. I always cry at the end. Truly a masterpiece. I'm thinking about it and I kinda want to put a Ryuko icon again.

Going back, i just feel it's not an attractive hook for me that's all. Oh they are girlies but they fight. Ah ok. *They look like they are dancing* ok sure. You're not selling it for me as something that is *like shonen*. It's indeed something else.

Also the feelings are not the same most of the time, like i want a specific sort of Toxicity you know. Madoka Magica... Sort of hits? But as I said, the aesthetic is not something I'm wild for, and anyways, that's for boys too, so yeah.

And i knoooow there must be something in battle Shojo for me i know Shojo is a good demographic actually i just... I just want Naruto but written good you know? Can somebody do that to me.
