Michael scope

Zeiss Jena Laboval ?3? I think, documentation for the Laboval series online starts and ends with the Laboval 4. By all accounts this is their upper mid range lab scope, with Amplival being the top of the line before you get to big scopes that have to be installed by a technician.
There's a large variety of Zeiss scopes that were manufacturered on this side of the iron curtain, as you can see this is an East German piece. Pretty good condition, scratchy condenser optics but the objectives and eyepiece seem to be in great nick, from a quick inspection, and that's what matters. Eyepieces are 10×'s, Objectives are a 3.2 semiplanar, a 10, a 40 planar (which I think will get a lot of use), and a 100 oil immersion. Pretty normal setup.
I don't have slides and slips yet so I can't do a proper mount, but this is pretty promising for just sliding a sheet of paper into the slide holder. Proper mounting will improve the focus plane immensely. 32× and 100× so far.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The illumination is off-centre and uneven but that's resolvable and anyway it might be fun to move to LED. I also want to build some top illumination brackets for opaque subjects.
I had like. A kiddies toy microscope growing up and I got as far as trying to make it do darkfield with pieces of cardboard, but never something this professional, binocular optics is such a big step up on its own.
The only real issue I've seen so far is that the stage Z axis is very sloppy, huge backlash. Everything has been stuffed with new grease recently so at least it moves smoothly, old scopes and old typewriters both have a tendency to seize if they're forgotten for more than a few months at a time.
I'll swing by the lake and pick up some algae and protist samples later, and I need to order slides and slips. Also I can print some darkfield and oblique illumination filters.
Probably not going to fuck too much with oil immersion, but who knows, also I'll keep an eye out for water immersion objectives.
I think that with an appropriate head replacement and some filter hacking I could get phase contrast microscopy up and running, probably scavenging some Amplival parts. I'd need to see. I can definitely get fluorescence microscopy working with an illumination upgrade. It would also be nice to gut the electronics and put in a simple battery powered illumination system I can charge over USB so I don't have to rely on wall power. Even the stock tungsten lighting is only 5W at 6V so that's easy to swing.
Objectives are DIN 45mm I think, and it sounds like many Eastern Bloc microscopes use standardized head mounts. I'll also be able to print a lot of parts for this, but I'll probably want to get some black filament for optical reasons.
First I want to do some protist sketches, I picked up a protists book at a used bookstore a while ago and it got me really hyped to do protist watching. This is definitely at some level me trying to replace macroscopic wildlife spotting in my life.

Pitch trace of the utterance "it's not that I", showing a peak on the negation not. A funky way of illustrating pitch? Pitch before Praat?
Labov, William & David Fanshel. 1977. Therapeutic discourse: psychotherapy as conversation. New York: Academic Press. [Figure 3, page 45]
A footnote explains the visualization this way: "Spectral Dynamics Real-Time Analyzer 301C with output displayed on a Tektronix 611 storage oscilloscope. The analyzer synthesizes 500 filters every 50 milliseconds over a variety of frequency ranges; the analysis can be terminated after any given number of filters and a new sweep started immediately. The pitch contour display used throughout this volume is made with a frequ ency range of 5,000 Hz. Each filter has a nominal bandwidth of 10 Hz and an effective bandwidth of 15 Hz. The sweep is terminated after the first 110 filters, so that a spectrum is generated every 11 milliseconds. The display on the oscilloscope is logarithmic and cuts off at 54 db below maximum. High-pass filtering at 12 db per octave begins at 3,000 Hz, and, in addition, the roll-off of the Nagra IV-S tape recorder - LS + FA - is used. Volume is then adjusted so that only the peaks of the wave forms are visible, thus tracing the path of the fundamental frequency without the interference of other signals"

Locked Door
Peter Parker x Stark!reader
Tumblr media
Warning: smut
Word count: 1489
Summary: you and Peter Parker are interrupted in a horrible embarrassing way. Requested by @sassyhollandx
"Dad, I'm 23," you said staring at him.
"I know, but you'll always be my little girl whether you like it or not," Tony stark said shrugging his shoulders. "And I worry about you going on blind dates. You should really take a suit or at least Friday with you," he suggested.
"Dad, I am not doing that. That's why I buy my phones and you don't touch them. Because I'm pretty sure you would put a tracking device," you answered.
He looked at you in defeat. To him you would always be his little girl who sat on his knee in the lab and talked about nuclear physics for your 3rd grade show and tell. This whole dating thing was not something he liked.
You on the other hand were just trying to leave the room. You hated lying to your dad. You did have a date. It wasn't blind. Instead it was with his junior employee Peter Parker that you had been secretly seeing for the last 6 months and knew since you both were teens.
"How do I look," you asked turning.
"Beautiful as always," Tony said begrudgingly. "Just don't do anything you don't want to do. And be safe."
"Dad. Don't give me the talk. I would literally melt in the floor. I still have nightmares of the talk you and Dr Banner gave me. You called a period 'moon cycle.' I was 15," you said shaking your head.
"Okay, I was... unprepared."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've got to get going. Love ya," you said leaving.
You met Peter at his apartment. He bounced around the room, his converse squeaking on the linoleum. His hair was sticking up in crazy spots.
"Pete, what are you doing?" You said stepping around a precariously perched pizza box.
"I am so sorry, baby. I was running late. I was developing a tactile web fluid that was slime resistant. I found that potassium- you don't care about that," he said smiling ruefully. Peter had found his beat up hoodie.
"I can come visit in the lab and you can walk me through it," you said taking his hand. Peter quickly ran his other hand through his disheveled hair.
"I would- I would love that. But your dad, you know?" Peter sais wrapping his arms around your waist. You laid your head on his chest.
"I will deal with him. I know you are nervous about telling him but honestly he'll have to get over it. I'm an adult."
Peter's phone rang loudly with a familiar ring tone. You groaned. Peter quickly answered.
"Hello, Mr Stark?"
"Uhhh..okay sir. I can come back. Yes sir. I'll be there soon," Peter said into the phone. You rolled your eyes. There went your date.
"Your dad said that my fluid stopped agitating and we should go test it. I'm so sorry, babe. I'll make it up to you," he pleaded.
"I'll give you a ride," you groaned.
"No, you don't have to," he said quickly.
"Well, my date stood me up so I might as well go home," you said smiling.
"Baby, I didn't stand you up. I'm so sorry. I'll.... uh, make it up to you," he whispered suggestively.
"I'm holding you to that."
The ride was uneventful except when Peter insisted that he get out 3 block before the tower and walked.
"Hey kid, what happened to your date?" Rhodey asked. Of course your dad had talked to Rhodey about the date. Tony hated the idea of it.
You had completely forgotten your lie. "Uhh.. I was stood up?"
"Were you?" He said with his eyebrows raised. "Someone stood you up? They're very stupid. I'm sorry."
"Oh thanks, uncle Rhodey. Where is dad?"
"In the lab."
"Nope, I'm right here. Someone dare stand my daughter up? Who do I need to talk to? Do I need a suit? Armani or titanium ion," Tony said.
"No dad. Don't be weird. Its fine. I'll be up in my room. I have work to do anyways," you said trying to brush it off.
"I dont- Peter Parker. I'm glad you made it. Can you believe someone stood my daughter up on a date?" Tony said shaking his head. Peter looked at you with wide eyes.
"Thats... uh, that's crazy, Mr Stark. That's not a nice thing for someone to do," Peter rambled.
"Exactly. He gets it," Tony said placing an arm on Peter's shoulder. "Let's check that fluid." Peter nodded.
You went to your room to work on your own project. You were trying to develop a removable prosthetic based on the blueprint of the winter soldier's arm. It was going along slowly.
About and hour later you heard a soft knock at the door. You removed your safety goggles and put down the soldering iron. Peter stood outside your door. You pulled him in your room.
"Hey," you said.
"Hey."
"So you owed me, right?" You said looping your fingers in his belt loops. He grasped your hips.
"What about your dad having cameras everywhere?"
"I disabled them when I was 15 and I threatened his entire system if he put them back."
"In that case," Peter said kissing you. His hands wrapped around your waist and pulled you tightly to him. You ran your hands to his hair and pulled his face closer. You both stumbled to your bed. You grabbed a notebook off the bed and tossed it on the floor.
Peter picked you up and laid you on the bed. His kisses trailed down your neck. He unbuttoned the front of your dress and you slipped your shoulders from the straps. His hands greedily pushed the material out of the way and down your body. You whimpered when he sucked and nipped at a spot on your collarbone.
His hands pushed your slip off and Peter broke the kiss to look at your body when he felt no undergarments. "Baby, you're killing me," he groaned.
His mouth roamed down your body to your nipple. His tongue swirled around one while his thumb flicked the other. You arched into his touch. Your breath heavy and your heart racing. Your core ached for his touch.
Peter ran a hand up and down your thigh, teasing you by never touching where you needed him the most. You whined and your hips jumped. Peter kissed down your stomach before putting your legs over his shoulders. He planted wet kisses up your inner thighs. Your clit throbbed and you moaned in wanton.
Finally he kissed your hip bones and you gasped. How were you so fucking turned on?
"Please, baby, please," you pleaded.
"Wow, you're desperate," he admired. Peter finally kissed your clit and you moaned loudly. "Baby shhh. You can't be loud. Someone could hear."
You nodded and Peter licked your slit. You bit your lip as he teasingly licked around. You panted and your hips jumped. Peter placed an arm on your hips and wrapped his lips around your clit. He lightly sucked and swirled the bud. You trembled. Peter rutted into the bed as you writhed labove him. He thought you looked so fucking pretty like this.
"I want you," you gasped as you pulled at his shoulders. He climbed up your body as he pulled off his pants. Peter grabbed the blanket and pulled it over you both. He slid into you on one thrust. You grasped his back and he began moving.
You both panted as he thrust. Peter placed his forehead against yours. You wrapped your legs around his waist for a better angle. He whined at the sensation and began thrusting roughly.
Suddenly the door opened. "Hey Y/n have you seen Pet- holy SHIT! What the hell is going on??" Tony Stark said staring before quickly turning away. Peter tried to cover your body with his. "Why- what- Peter? Really?" Tony sputtered.
"Dad! Jesus, why didn't you knock?!?" You yelped. Peter rolled to the side and you held the blanket across your chest. You had never felt so embarrassed.
"Why are you having sex," he whispered, "with Peter Parker? Are you dating?" Tony couldn't look in the room. The view of his employee on top of his daughter was pretty much burned into his mind.
"Yes we are dating. We've been dating for 6 months."
"And you already have sex?" He exclaimed.
"Is this really the time to have this talk?"
"Just- just- just lock the Damn door from now on. Now I have to wash my brain with bleach. I never want to see that again," Tony said locking the door and leaving.
"That was horrible," you said covering your eyes. "And I was close," you whined.
"I'm uh, done. Lost the mood. But I guess I can take care of you," Peter said. His face was bright red.
"No, we can finish this later. I'm too motified right now anyways."
"Yeah, later. Maybe not here next time."

Semantics
“Because of problems with necessary and sufficient conditions, or definitions, several more sophisticated theories of concepts have been proposed. One influential proposal is due to Eleanor Rosch and her co-workers (e.g. Rosch 1973, 1975, Rosch and Mervis 1975, Rosch et al. 1976, Mervis and Rosch 1981) who have suggested the notion of prototypes. This is a model of concepts which views them as structured so that there are central or typical members of a category, such as BIRD or FURNITURE, but then a shading off into less typical or peripheral members. So chair is a more central member of the category FURNITURE than lamp, for example. Or sparrow a more typical member of the category BIRD than penguin. This approach seems to have been supported by Rosch’s experimental evidence: speakers tend to agree more readily on typical members than on less typical members; they come to mind more quickly, and so on. Another result of this and similar work (e.g. Labov 1973) is that the boundaries between concepts can seem to speakers uncertain, or “fuzzy,” rather than clearly defined. This approach allows for borderline uncertainty: an item in the world might bear some resemblance to two different prototypes.” [1]
Ricardo put us on the line of semantics in today’s lecture and I now see its relevance to what we are doing. In a way, we are playing with this idea of borderline uncertainty, we are attempting to generate something that can identify as two things yet not fit in at the same time. Looking at this kind of model as if it were creating a balance between to object. Cross species genetics of objects you could say, riding the boundaries of both objects. if you considered a perfect hybrid of both a wheelchair and skateboard. the prototypes we made earlier today would be variations that would resemble different levels of a pure and more definitive example.
An interesting concept that while is slightly abstracted from what we are doing is very much relevant. While this docent exactly help us in what we are currently doing adds to the basis of our underlying approach to the project.
“associations may be ones of form (i.e., shape, size, color, texture, and other sensory attributes such as sound or smell), of function (how the object works and to what purpose), of origin or development, and of time, place, and sequence. Once two objects are found to have some similar properties (e.g., round and capable of being thrown or kicked in a game), we are ready to generalize the particular objects into a class ("ball,"in this case). We are also ready to make distinctions based on the attributes of the objects that are not similar. So, a grapefruit to a child might appear to be, possibly, a ball, but its lack of durability a n d mother's scolding would soon disabuse the child of that notion. Becoming more sophisticated on the subject, the child would also note that grapefruit are grown on trees, whereas balls are not. So, as said in chapter 1, with additional experience, the comparative and contrastive attributes of various objects more and more fully define the concept of ball and, thus, what referents the word "ball" may properly have.”[2]
Upon looking further into the subject, I found more evidence explicitly backing up the core concept of our project that is object association. While here we are talking about the meaning of words we can still say the objects themselves fall under them meaning of the words as that is their form of identity. What is interesting about this notation is that it docent stretch far from what we discovered in dismantling our objects, finding that they actually had more in common than not. While their purposes differed when it came down to functionality they were near the same in many ways. I would say in the objects are more so defined by what is not the same than what is as with the example of the ball and grapefruit. In principle them being the same yet their differences defining what their true purpose should be. As with the purposes of both our the skateboard and wheelchair one being related to freedom and the other restriction of movement.
“There are also the associations that nearly always accompany the factual, namely the emotional and valuative. We may feel friendly or unfriendly toward the object or that it is good or bad or reliable or treacherous or helpful or a hindrance, all depending on our past experience, including what we have been told about the object. These associations give us the connotative meanings of words, the suggested meanings that have an emotional content, and that often differentiate two with similar factual (denotative) meanings.”[3]
An example of emotional conative meanings towards an object can be seen back with the video we put alongside our manifesto. Throughout the spaces we took our prototype[e chair there were signs stating preconceived emotional attachment to the objects. Signs saying no skateboarding due to possibly the disturbance skateboarding can cause, this could possibly have been experienced by a customer or staff member in the past and hence the negative view towards the object and its user. Then the wheel access and parking signs. The wheel chair being associated with people with disability or suffering from an injury. This emphasizes the purpose of our project and its relevance to combining two objects that carry vastly different connotations with them.

Caselet 1 Mr. and Mrs. Sharma went to Woodlands Apparel to buy a shirt. Mr. Sharma did not read the price tag on the piece selected by him. At the counter, while making the payment he asked for the price. Rs. 950 was the answer. Meanwhile, Mrs. Sharma, who was still shopping came back and joined her husband. She was glad that he had selected a nice black shirt for himself. She pointed out that there was a 25% discount on that item. The counter person nodded in agreement. Mr. Sharma was thrilled to hear that “It means the price of this shirt is just Rs. 712. That‟s fantastic”, said Mr. Sharma. He decided to buy one more shirt in blue color. In no time, he returned with the second shirt and asked them to be packed. When he received the cash memo for payment, he was astonished to find that he had to pay Rs. 1,900 and Rs. 1,424. Mr. Sharma could hardly reconcile himself to the fact that the counter person had quoted the discounted price which was Rs. 950. The original price printed on the price tag was Rs. 1,266. Handling irate callers is the new brief for the young men and women taking calls at these outsourced job centres. Supervisors tell them to be „cool‟. Avinash Vashistha, managing partner of NEOIT, a leading US-based consultancy firm says, “Companies involved in outsourcing both in the US and India are already getting a lot of hate mail against outsourcing and it is hardly surprising that some people should behave like this on the telephone.” Vashistha says Indian call centre‟s should train their operators how to handle such calls. Indeed, the furor raised by the Western media over job losses because of outsourcing Examination Paper of Business Communication 4 IIBM Institute of Business Management has made ordinary citizens there sensitive to the fact that their calls are being taken not from their midst, but in countries such as India and the Philippines. The angry outbursts the operators face border on the racist and sexist, says the manager of a call centre in Hyderabad. But operators and senior executives of call centres refuse to go on record for fear of kicking up a controversy that might result in their companies‟ losing clients overseas. “It‟s happening often enough and so let‟s face it,” says a senior executive of a Gurgaon call centre, adding, “This doesn‟t have any impact on business.” Questions 1. Suppose you are working as an operator in a call centre in India and receiving calls from Americans and Londoners. How would you handle such calls? 2. Do you agree with the view such abusive happenings on the telephone do not have any impact on business? END OF SECTION B Section C: Applied Theory (30 marks)  This section consists of Applied Theory Questions.  Answer all the questions.  Each question carries 15 marks.  Detailed information should form the part of your answer (Word limit 200 to 250 words). ` 1. “Cuando me reciba quiero formar sujetos críticos” - Entrevista a Matías Nuñez
Tumblr media

Corona Platina Piadena - EXPO Inox Mortara  77 - 74  (22-19)(34-39)(54-62)     Corona Platina Piadena :  Delibasic 9, Lugic 12, Lorenzetti 21, Mascadri 21, De Martino 3, Maresca ne, Boninsegna ne, Olivieri ne, Marenzi 11, Belluco 0, Labovic ne, Scomparin ne. All. Mazzali   EXPO INOX Mortara :  Dronjak 12, Sprude, Rinaldi 7, Di Gennaro 11, Cattaneo 21, Bossi 0, Pontisso 14, Muzio ne, Ferretti 9, Invernizzi B. ne. All. Zanellati

Why 23 Event Profs, Speakers and Attendees Love Live Events
Objectively, events are proven to be a valuable marketing channel. Subjectively, they're magic. It's not just a matter of the face-to-face, offline experience (although that's very important). It's a matter of the lighting, the design, the presentations, the speakers, the connections made, the lessons learned, the activities and (lest we forget) the food.
There's a lot to love about events. We asked 23 event marketers, speakers, designers, organizers and attendees why they love live events. Specifically, we asked them about that magic moment of success that happens at events—that experience that is truly the most rewarding and impactful.
Christine Landry, Senior Social Media Editor, DexYP
"I was nervous presenting for the first time alongside speakers from Google, Yahoo and other professionals at a company event for small business owners. After our presentations, the speakers were mingling with attendees, and I heard an attendee say to another, 'There she is. Grab her!' and was surprised that they wanted to speak with me. It made me realize: You don’t have to be a speaker for a living to have a message that resonates."
Emily Fullmer, Director of Global Events, GreenBook
"Hosting conferences around the world leads to a lot of good times— attendees, clients and friends are often one in the same. Walking through an event and seeing faces I’ve met around the world reminds me of how far we’ve come."
Cari Goodrich, Senior Director of Global Marketing Programs, Looker
"Events serve as a great way to revitalize and reconnect with existing contacts in your database. Being able to re-engage with accounts that went dark or got lost somewhere in the marketing funnel, is my *true* magic moment."
David Title, Chief Engagement Officer, Bravo Media
"Watching guests interact with a one-of-a-kind display built just for this moment in time."
Chris Massey, Product Manager, Mind The Product
"When an exhibitor actively stops you just to tell you how well-looked-after they felt, and how well your crew took care of them."
Allison Miller Thompson, Marketing Manager, EXL
"When an 'issue' (or two or four...) arises and you handle it and no one is the wiser. One of my favorite things to do after an event is tell leadership all the things that 'could have gone wrong' behind the scenes but they never knew about!"
Donna Kastner, Founder, Retirepreneur
“When I summon the courage to move beyond my comfort zone to design a new event experience that’s appreciated. Such was the case for the Business Breakthrough Incubator at the PCMA Education Conference.”
Liz Castelli, COO, Tinsel & Twine
"I spend all day thinking about solutions for my business and so when I see my team doing just that at events - working together to problem solve in smart and innovative ways, I know we had a successful day!"
Adam Aleksander, Creative Director, Adam Aleksander Events
"Creating an event is about 3 things. Start with a super sticky idea, promote it in a creative way in the right medium, and provide a genuinely fun experience for the guests. I worked on a multi-room party-hopping experience called Fonda Chilena that I think really captured that."
Emily Miethner, CEO & Founder, FindSpark
"For me, it's always rewarding when people let me know that they usually hate networking events, but that our event felt different. Whether it's at an event like one of our panels, or Hustle Summit—knowing that we've changed someone's perspective on what it means to build a strong network and community for themselves, that it can actually be enjoyable — is always the best feeling."
Ramon Ray, Entrepreneur
"If I can learn lots from event speakers—I'm having a GREAT day!"
Leslie Short, CEO, K.I.M Media
"I’m always critical of all of my events, but I do enjoy seeing people faces when they arrive to a venue they have been to before and I have transformed it into something completely different."
Karolina Rosas Espinosa, Knowledge Broker, Social Colectivo
"The moment your speaker gets off the stage with a tear in the eye and the sensation of a well delivered message and the audience energy is a the top. That is worth living."
Wahiba Chair, Senior Social Media Strategist, Wahiba Chair Consulting
"To me, as the event organizer of #YVRSocial, the magic moments of success happen when everyone, including attendees, sponsors, speakers etc. truly connect in person and online. I think it's both an art and a science. Thanks to social media, we can generally measure online event engagement and sentiment through the event hashtag. If your conversations are trending (in a good way), that generally means you're doing something right."
Barry Labov, President & CEO, LABOV
"The magic really happens when we can take learners from ‘why’ at the beginning of a training program to ‘wow’ by its conclusion.”
Corbin Ball, Founder, Corbin Ball Associates
"In my past life as a meeting planner, the magic moment of success was the wonderful sense of completion after a successful event. The crazy '3-ring circus' is done, the attendee compliments have been received, and you can fly back home to relax, rest-up and get ready for the next event.
"As a participant, I think the magic moments are seeing truly gifted speakers who inspire, who educate, who make you laugh and can even bring you to tears. A good speaker can change your life.
"As a speaker, to truly have the audience with you attentively listening, laughing and sometimes gasping at the ideas presented is very gratifying."
Alexandre Eisenchteter, Founder & CEO, Stormz
"It's always great when you can share the experience of event planners and illustrate new ways to draw the attendees' attention during conferences—like we do with Stormz."
Will Curran, Founder and Chief Event Einstein, Hello Endless
"The moment for me at an event that is most magical and special is when the client comes up and does the nod. You don't know what the nod is? It's when once per event someone comes up to you and says "thanks for doing this" or "this meant a lot to me" and they nod, and I nod back (stolen from the movie Groove).
"But on a serious note, that moment when someone recognizes all of the hard work we've put into an event is amazing. We often go unnoticed as the AV and event production team (and we love being the behind the scenes guys) but when someone is grateful for what we do it means everything."
Boaz Katz, Co-founder and Chief Product Strategy, Bizzabo
"In 2012 we powered Qualcomm's annual conference and their CEO mentioned Bizzabo as part of his Keynote session. As we were a small team and a young company at the time, it was amazing recognition for what we were building."
Liz King, Founder, Liz King Events
"When you're planning an event, choosing great content is often a huge challenge. You're basically trying to read your audience's mind. So, when we were putting together content for techsytalk LIVE 2016, we decided to infuse some content that was a bit outside the box, but that we thought would resonate with our audience. It was a huge risk, but when I saw the attendee's gulping up the content, sharing on social and LOVING the session, it was so rewarding!"
Phil Mershon, Director of Events, Social Media Examiner
"That moment when two attendees 'just happen' to meet during a networking event and they discover they are exactly who they needed to meet to make the conference worth it."
Laura Lopez, Community Manager, Social Tables
"Getting the opportunity to introduce people to their future clients at an event is super rewarding. Our industry is built on relationships and so many of these relationships and connections are forged at in-person events."
Adam Parry, Editor, Event Industry News
"The best part for me is when after months of planning and work you are able to take one step back and see everything working live at the event”
Be it the hardwork that goes into the them, the relaxation that comes after them or something in-between, there's a lot to love about events. What's the magic moment that makes it all worth it for you? Let us know in the comments below. We really, really want to know!

The Places Health Care Administrators Work While there are many health care administrators that work in hospitals, there are plenty of other work environments that you might end up in if you follow this career path. The following are a few of the places you might work as a healthcare administrator: Assisted Living Centers Clinics Corporate Medical Offices Hospitals Nursing Homes Private Physician Offices The Duties of a Health Care Administrator
Since health care is a business, it is necessary to have health care administrators to handle all the aspects of the medical world that aren't related to patient care. From human resources to coding and billing, there are a variety of business-related things that health care administrators can handle; the following are a few of them: Advertising Budgeting Executive Management Human Resources Staffing Policy Administration Marketing How to Get into the Health Care Administration Field Some health care administrators have a job with a very small scope, such as working solely in the finance, marketing, nursing or staffing department. Other health care administrators have a job with a very large scope and great responsibility, such as being in charge of managing an entire hospital. The education and training that one receives will largely determine what kind of career path lies ahead. Anyone who aspires to managing a large health care facility someday should definitely plan on finishing at least a master's degree. For other positions, such as human resource managers or advertising executives, a Bachelor in Health Care Administration degree or a related field will probably be sufficient. Whatever kind of health care administrator you become, one thing is clear: this is an ideal career for someone who wants to work in the medical field without going to nursing or medical school.
(Social Cognition)p.68~p.74
(THE MOTIVATED TACTICIAN)
(SOCIAL CATEGORIZATION)
(Bruner&Goodnow&Austin,1956)
(Hamilton&Gifford,1976):

Notes: Stories in the real world pg 38-42
People tell stories whether it is talking to friends about what happened whilst you were on holiday, or talking about what happened during their day. The technical term for it is called narrative which always has three elements:
1) some events, which form a story.                                                                     2) someone who talks about those events - the teller.                                         3) the teller’s representation of the events - the discourse.
A story is made up of a series of events ordered through time. Each idvidual part of a story includes an actor - which you would ask ‘who was involved?’, action - which asks ‘What did they do?’ and circumstances - which ask makes the person asks much more question such as ‘When did they do it?’, Where did they do it?’ and ‘How did they do it?’.
In language, events are shown through clauses - which gives information about the actors, actions and circumstances. Even though everyone had different opinions on a story, the way they are structured is a similar pattern. In the late 1960s, Labov was interested in studying the difference of people depending on social classes, geographical regions and ethnic groups. He began to notice that the great number of stories he collected follow a pattern.
The fact that the stories were similarly structured, Labov created six stages in the narrative structure of stories:
1) Abstract - what the story is about                                                                     2) Orientation - who was involved, where and when it took place.                       3) Complication - what the unexpected event was                                               4) Evaluation - the opinions on it overall, if it was bad or good.                           5) Resolution - how the problem was resolved                                                     6) Coda - how the story is connected to present.
