Lachlan Shelton!

Can't say I know too much about Lachlan but knowing they're a foodie, I think he had a fun time in Hades.

MINT SHUPE: Georgias player from Season β12 to Season β15. Was our star hitter for all of 35 games, after which she swallowed a peanut and had an allergic reaction. He would later go on to have a successful career on the Lovers, partying back into being a batting star, becoming one of the league's few Base 2 players, and going double Pro on the Grind Rail for a bit. She doesn't have any of that anymore, but she does still have immaculate vibes.

LACHLAN SHELTON: Georgias player from Season β23 to Season β24. Just a man, but we're a fan. Had a short-lived career on the Georgias where he played as both an unremarkable pitcher and an unremarkable hitter, and frankly it's hard to think of a factoid that makes him sound all that interesting. But I've always kinda appreciated him, and hey, maybe you want to vote for an underdog. That's cool.

Lachlan Shelton Makes a Fursona (With Cedric Spliff and York Silk)

"Sit, dingus," Cedric said.

"This is silly," Lachlan said.

"Yeah," Cedric sat at the table and pulled out his own laptop. "But it's fun too. Have fun for once, nerd."

"I have fun plenty!" Lachlan started to protest, but Cedric was already laughing to himself. Lachlan frowned, but he sat down anyway.

York came back. "Okay!" He opened a drawing program on his tablet. "Where should we start?"

"I… I don't… I don't even know?" Lachlan shifted in his chair.

"Hmmm," York said. "What about like a lion?" He started to draw out a lion head on his tablet.

"Lion might be too cool for Lachlan," Cedric said.

Lachlan rolled his eyes. "Anyway, I thought maybe a bunny would be nice."

"Oh, yeah! That'd be really cool!" York scooted the canvas over and started drawing out a rabbit's head.

2. a fic that makes me laugh out loud

hen waltztangocache’s “gonna let it ring out,” in which ken loser gets a ghost phone, is one of the most adorable and also hilarious fics of all time. everyone needs to know about the ghost phone. this is not optional.

3. a fic that sold me on a character or ship

it really does not take much, i have to tell you. but cyndakip has done so many things with the moist talkers that i love, and that all started (for me!) with the lachlan shelton fic “damned if you do, damned if you don’t.” i did not know much about lachlan before reading this. i adopted him immediately upon finding it. he is just so good, i adore him.

12. a fic that sold me on a niche irm

i love so, so many irms!! they are my favorite thing. i don’t know if this counts as niche, but my absolute favorite take on agan espinoza is from ivyns’ fics. i love the way ce’s written in them, but particularly “to seek success.” prehistory players my beloveds.

WELCOME TO THE ATLANTIS GEORGIAS BRACKET: ROUND 1

I wanted to call it "The Cup of Water," but I wasn't sure if that would be as clear.

Since it's March Madness, and the people of Tumblr have fallen in love with making brackets for pretty much anything, it's time we settle once and for all who the most popular Georgias player is. Sixty-four will enter, but only one can win. (Since there have only ever been sixty-one Georgias players who have seen active play, however, three NPCs have been picked to fill in the remaining slots.)

The bracket was largely seeded based on how I perceived each player's popularity to be within the Georgias' fanbase (with some margin of error), but anyone is allowed to participate in voting! Simply vote for whichever player in each matchup you like more, and winners will proceed to Round 2!

Spent some time adding stuff to my queue. Anyway I'm sad about blaseball again. Tell me about what your blorbo is up to now that they've been Released.

My faves for the Talkers:

Lachlan Shelton - anywhere from owning a food stall to a food truck to a bistro.

Hobbs Cain - Just vibing with Richmond Harrison. I think they eventually come back to Halifax.

Greer Lott - I love the idea that Greer has fallen in coaching kids in little league and swearing and also how to defend themselves against bullies, and she's just thriving, to her surprise.

Cedric Spliff - @luckyowl21 said he'd be in a sewing circle and I love that for him. I can see him having a YouTube channel that fluctuates wildly on what it's about. He has a small but devoted following.

Jasper Coven - Just like his old teacher turned surrogate sister, Kiki Familia, Jasper was sought out by a neophyte witch who wants him to train them. He's trying his best.

PolkaDot Patterson - vibing on the coast with Workman Gloom. Also coaching little league with Greer.
