Little thought I had that I base on literally nothing except that I find it hillarious is that if lams is canon and they got married john would be 100% a rich trophy husband.

So uhh I started a Lams college oneshot fanfic thing and I now have a shit ton of headcanons so I will share them with you:

1. John doesn't blush easily but Alex says such charming stuff that he blushes all the time and Alex is just a tomato at this point.

2. Alex sets his alarm for ungodly hours of the morning and John hates it. Bonus: John is absolutely not a morning person.

3. Alex is the person who takes 9am classes to "get it out of the way."

4. Everyone thinks that John would do a marine biology major or something to do with turtles but I actually think he'd do sociology or something to do with human rights considering he was such an abolitionist.

hihi it’s been awhile (a few days but like that’s close enough)

anah and morrigan know how to sew, morrigan not very well but anah shares a few pointer, anah knows how to sew because of the nuns

also for some reason i used to imagine lam as pale, silvery blonde, grey eyes????? i just?? ignored the description??

Anah’s stitches are clean, precise, almost medical in nature, no matter what material she’s sewing.

She finds it almost therapeutic, in a way, the repetitive motions and attention to detail. If she focuses enough, you can’t really see the stitches. She hides them within the patterns on the fabric, threading and unthreading seams to near-perfection.

Mog likes sewing. She really does, but she’s mostly self taught, having to stitch her own ripped clothes more often than not, lest she be berated for doing anything other than sit perfectly still. She evolved from clumsy stitching, meant more to hold things together than look pretty, to sturdy, if a little uneven, mending.

Anah and Mog probably bond over that, at least a little. Morrigan probably started giving embroidering a shot, just to have something to do, maybe to understand the Art Of Weaving better, to have something physical to liken it to. Anah would help, hesitant at first, still not entirely convinced that Morrigan is part of her team, the little family that Unit 919 is supposed to be. But they’d learn from each other, share little jokes, soft spoken conversations as they sew and embroider, side by side.

Perhaps they weave a friendship.

Someone made a Hamilton highschool au, and the post had pictures with fanart of the characters, little info sheets reminiscent of miku binder Jefferson (I wouldn't bring him up but this might help you know what I'm talking about 😭)

I wasn't done reading through them when the damn page reloaded, but the artstyle WAS SO AWESOME!!! Little beans, drawn kinda like caw chan or galactibun fanart, with really shiny hair (the highlights looked so good mystery artist!)

Someone's a bit territorial today~ Handed the cat Hittou-san today and he seemed a bit uninterested this time around... Tried to take Hit back and I got swatted about five times. Safe to say that meant he was still interested. Sometimes the cat can get a bit defensive with his claws, so I was relieved that Hit didn't get caught in any crossfire- my sewing knowledge is a bit rusty nor would I have any purple thread handy in the event of that.

I just think it’s pretty cool how like gen 1 mimi (the mimi from the earliest iteration of site)

is replaced by a mimi with a significantly different design in some future update

and then that original gen 1 design LATER appears in the background of pre-html5 update chaos.html

and initially I was MAD that in the html5 update (current version) this background was changed to something more generic, but I feel it actually adds to some this sorta implied story that the website and attraction have rotted with time more and more because of the ghosts.

so much time has passed since then, that even what remained of her body had become unrecognizable guts and gore

So I've been thinking about lams a lot lately. And some of it angst. I also been thinking about the music I listen to and I find myself connecting the two.

I'm not the first one to think about a ghost Laurens AU. I'm not the first to think that if he became a ghost he would haunt his still living lover.

But there is a small detail I don't think others know. I might be wrong so don't quote me but Hamilton never went to South Carolina after Laurens' death. He never visited his grave. And that is sad.

I've been listening to Mother Mother lately, more specifically their Oh My Heart album. On it there is two songs that tie together. Arms Tonight and Ghosting.

And the vibes they give are really Laurens coded. He dies having his love's attention and love. And then he becomes a ghost and sees his love move on. See him not need him anymore.

It is so beautiful, so bittersweet and it breaks me just a slightly bit every time I think about it.

Now that I think about it, every time Laurens becomes a ghost it hurts because he would be hurt too. There is a reason ghosts stay on earth and for him it would most likely be his lover. And then Hamilton would die and he would stay forever.

They would again complement eachother on not being able to be together. And it breaks me just a bit.

extra tidbits for this verse that one should probably know:

his gaming career actually started with the har*vest moon ( now known as story of s*easons RIP :'D ) series and since he had grown some of these plants before, he would talk about what would actually go into taking care of them in RL...as a special, he would show his viewers what he's planting

when he grew his following a bit more though, he also started to introduce nin*tendo games into his content...in particular, it starts to be one of the bigger parts of his channel once he ends up in a group of four that plays weekly games of ma*rio party...

he'll never admit it but while he does need his calming games ( like har*vest moon and ani*mal crossing ), his favorites are actually the competitive games...ie. the games that 'ruin friendships ( ex. ma*rio party ) aka ones where he can as 'toxic' as he wants all in the name of winning the game

that's really where his channel starts growing; his fans do love the tranquil side of his channel, but the firecracker that bounces out when he's in competition is what really draws the people in- they think it's funny the contrast between the two sides

while he's not entirely upfront about the fact he's mentally ill and has a bad arm ( he doesn't like showing his face much either ), he does let his followers know upfront that there may be weeks where he can't post any playthroughs-

on those weeks, sometimes he'll post one of those 'study with me' streams, where it'll just be his set up slightly messy to soothing music- it emulates company in a way

he does do these kinds of videos on sundays too bc a lot of his followers are students and he knows how stressful school can be and if he can help his followers focus, then- he'll take care of his tutoring stuff while he's at it

if it's his arm hurting, he'll also just rope his roommate into playing the games instead- he likes to ask ray about the difference between cooking games and actual cooking

he also hasn't quite come out as trans to his followers, BUT he does make monthly donations to LG*BTQ+ charities that specifically support trans kids- his followers have suspicions but thankfully most of them understand that this can be very personal stuff...so they say 'he'll come out when he's ready' <3

alex has an old leather watch he wears on his left hand. it’s a dark brown, and it’s broken a countless amount of times, and it would be in rags and glass shards if alex hadn’t painstakingly repaired it each time. alex never lets anyone touch it, and he never tells anyone why: this is the first thing he ever bought with his own money.

he had been a young boy, his mother dead and his father gone, and after earning a few precious cents in a clerking job, he had had some left over after he had paid for food and rent.

he had been walking down the street and noticed something in a shop window: a shiny, brand-new leather watch, clean and a sensible brown with a silver buckle. feeling the cents jingle in his pocket, he had walked into the store and bought the watch.

he had slipped it onto his left hand and fiddled with the buckle for quite some time before getting it on: and that’s where it stayed for the rest of his life.

he never trusted anyone with that watch: but slowly, as he and a certain someone begin to grow closer together, that certain someone notices him struggling with the buckle, and says, “here, let me help.”

and so it becomes a part of a routine that takes place every morning in the watery sunlight of valley forge—alex slipping the watch onto his wrist and turning to john, who buckles it for him, and they go back to their own individual routines.

it may sound like a little thing, but think of what it symbolises: this is something alex treasures, this is something from the past he never talks about, this is something he really loves and handles carefully. he is trusting john with his past, and he is trusting john with himself. here, he says, let me. i will handle it carefully. i will not hurt you.

When Laurens died Hamilton basically stopped caring about his actions/what he did because he felt as if Laurens was a part of him. So when Laurens died a part of him died with it.
