"Dive into the enchanted realm of Seealpsee, where time seems to stand still and nature radiates in its purest beauty. Let yourself be seduced by the turquoise waves and lose yourself in the gentle whispers of the surrounding mountains. A place where dreams come true and memories linger forever."

Grange Fell - Lake District.
A recent ramble on Grange Fell inspired me to delve into my back catalogue and post this shot captured a few years ago. This hill, although lowly in altitude, is a sprawling area consisting of crags, birches and heather with three separate summits. This picture was captured on King's How summit which offers its most eye-catching vista towards Derwentwater, but on this occasion I loved this view with the everchanging mist giving glimpses of the irregular and knobbly uplands of Grange Fell. I particularly liked the curving series of cascades to the left of the central silver birch, which is only visible after extremely heavy rainfall. The guidebook writer Alfred Wainwright was particularly a fan of this hill where he wrote in his Central Fells edition "Grange Fell is nothing on the map, everything when beneath one's feet. In small compass, here is concentrated the beauty, romance, interest and excitement of the typical Lakeland scene."
