I love him too, he's so silly and wholesome (I swear there will be shots of him with other people once I design them, but for now it kind of limits him to shots with Laser)

That's the only reason I picked cute wholesome shots between them guys I promise. But man, it sure would suck if I were responding to this post with cute wholesome John Boxxer shots just to make something later hurt more. Thankfully that would be mean, and I would never do that. :>

I think you should make C.AI bots of Lazer and Carol in your swap au.

So, I didn't just wanna ignore this one or say "No." Point blank, because I felt like explaining myself would be good here. After all, to a lot of people these bots are pretty harmless.

Now, tbf I have issues with- all ai character rp apps. Even ones that aren't as scummy in their marketing tactics and things like that tend to just have a lot of other gross practices. And often are implementing new features to incorporate voice stuff, that's taken and trained off voice actors who did not consent to it.

And even if you're not the kind of person to be turned away from these apps by their scummy practices, their bots kinda always suck. I had made a few way back when things first started out there, and worked extensively to make them detailed and well put together, and it still couldn't comprehend a lot of basic ideas. And from the videos I've seen of people talking with character bots, it's not any better nowadays. The AI cannot handle the complexities of Laserblast, or Epictia.

Like, if you guys want actual in character stuff beyond asks and whatnot on here, I will rp with anyone for like 10$ an hour, and I'll doodle dumb stuff while doing it so you'll get way more out of it than a bot. (Plus, I can actually remember what's said in a conversation) /hj

But yeah, no bots. Sorry guys. (And please don't take this as a sign to go make them you're either please. Thanks 🩷)

When you're reading tagged posts on a blog you can always add /chrono to the end to make them chronological. It's super useful but tumblr doesn't tell you anywhere that you can do this. :/

Trying to Learn How to Keep a One Shot a One Shot Rambles

I didn't originally intend for the Cosma fic to become as big as it is. My initial goal was a 4-5k oneshot focusing specifically on Cosma spending a day with the Voxy Bunch, hijinks ensue, and that's it. I'm not completely dissatisfied with the direction I've taken it or how things are developing.

Its more...I want to make sure I actually focus on just the highlight story next time. It doesn't matter how funny I think PV with a ring pop is or how much I want to shoehorn in weird antics with a head in a jar (I still have plans for him. I'm trying to figure out how to organically shift towards him as an active character).

The Cosma fic is an example of what my old fic writing habits looked like. I'd get bored with the A plot, come up with something weird at 3:00 in the morning, and weave that dumb shower thought in somewhere...and now I'm trying to figure out if the goo clone gets his own fic or not (He absolutely will. It's too weird an idea not to by this point and I spent too much time highlighting it not to). The biggest thing working to my advantage is I'm writing for a show that hosts so many different genres and ideas that it can fit every stupid, ridiculous thing I dream up. I'm the weirdo that tried to plug an alien invasion subplot into what was supposed to be a slice of life teen romcom story. That's probably why I've taken to writing for this harder than I have for anything else in a long time...

I've sneaked a couple one-shots up on a03 this week. I haven't shared or advertised these since one is something that I consider throw spaghetti at the wall ideas for my fan character ship bullshit. Or just weirder shipping bullshit in general. The other...well, its the most suggestive Voxman related thing I've written so far. These are my attempt at making shorter, but still coherent enough bits at writing so one-shots stay one-shots instead of becoming 20k+ word beasts. Also, it means I'll actually be able to do something with my ever-growing list of ideas instead of just keeping them on standby.

(I'm already itching to write some kind of Laserbox one shot too. Seriously, if I can parse this stuff down, it means getting all of my wild hair ideas out, heh.)
