Just found out Ben is gone for good. This makes me sad for how long I've listened to LPOTL. But with what happened, he needs to go make himself better. No blame towards his GF she was totally the victim in this.

I look forward to Marcus, Henry and whomever they lock in as Ben's replacement continued stories keeping me company on my way to work.

[overlapped talking] BEN: And individually, individually, they can also be correct. MARCUS: Well no, that would mean it would be correct 24 times in a day. HENRY: It is- BEN: Why. MARCUS: Becau- If you’re only counting the minute hand? BEN: No I’m not just counting the minute hand! HENRY: I… want… to retire, from the podcast. BEN: Well, hey, buddy. HENRY AND MARCUS: [laughing] BEN: Wait a couple of years, and then you can get whatever clock you want. I mean I dunno what kinda… HENRY: [wailing in anguish] BEN: Probably, maybe- HENRY: [wailing in anguish] BEN: Wanna get, probably, probably wanna get a clock that’s right more than two times a day. I was in the ocean and didn’t know how to swim. I got picked up by a boat and it was piloted by the hosts of Last Podcast on the Left (a true crime/horror/comedy podcast). I made friends with them all and one of them adopted me.

I finished listening to the Magnus Archives last week, and I NEED the follow up series that's coming out in October.... The ending just left me completely flabbergasted and needing answers.

But in the interim I will finish my relisten to the Bright Sessions and catch up with And That's Why We Drink, and Last Podcast on the Left....

And maybe work on catching up on Old Gods of Appalachia, too. And/or Welcome to Night Vale.

Just basically distract myself until I can get more TMA.

i dont want to be mean(?) but im lowkey confused about all the people who say they miss ben on lpotl. i never spoke badly about him before all the accusations against him came out because i used to think "you know what, I dont think he's funny but I dont want to be rude, so i'll just keep quiet" well turns out criticizing his comedy chops is honestly among the mildest things i have to say about him now.

so yeah i never found ben funny. I mean i found him funny in the way people who don't have an interesting sense of humour can manage to be funny once in a while. Sometimes he'd make a really good joke and I'd find myself so pleasantly surprised. people keep saying that he used to be funnier in the past but the only past i can remember was when he was more offensive and still not funny. I genuinely think the show is better now - both ethically and from a comedy standpoint.

marcus, ben, and ed are a perfect team. im happy that ben isn't on the show anymore. sorry, not sorry.
