Hello this is me again back with the HCs… since I can’t get enough of these characters interacting and JJK canon is… depressing as of now. (Seriously, don’t take this AU as a reliable source for what JJK is like because it’s 100 percent of me begging for a happy ending for the silly blorbos and none of them got that, sprinkled with canon info too) (and yes it is quite normal for Japanese kids to call each other by their surnames, even if they’re close, especially if they are of a different gender, but maybe in this world Shoko does refer to its friends with their given names)

Yu looks up to Suguru bc they were going to the same karate school (extracurriculars). Yu looks up to Suguru a lot. 

Shoko has a friend called Iori Utahime, and they are pretty close. However, Utahime hates Satoru’s guts, and maybe in this world would be disappointed at Shoko’s actions.

Although Kento is aroace, he has a close bond with Yu. Maybe it’s bc they never fitted in with their peers. Maybe it’s bc they both love helping others. Maybe it’s bc Kento was the first person to hear that Yu was trans other than his own family. (Kento is romance neutral, and sex repulsed.)

Hence: GhostAshFlower+Kento. You can just see each of them doing their own thing, drawing, reading, listening to music, but they find that they are close by. (Miles loves to touch Yu’s leaf hair, and Gwen is just snuggling with Miles. Kento is having some quality time with Yu.) (Kento is touch averse, but does not mind being touched by the other three + SaSiSu.) 

Suguru was the second person to hear that Yu was trans, and that made them start to question their gender.

Satoru and Kento both have a strange grasp on gender. They’re both cis… but not really? (Especially Satoru)

Yu didn’t know about the trans flag because his parents didn’t want him to step into the more… “unacceptable” side of things, being afraid that their son would receive hate. (His parents are actually Bi4Bi, and know what it is like to be in that circumstance of being hated due to who you are, so wanted to keep him safe.) Eventually they talked things out, and are all more out and proud. 

Miles has his sketchbook of people in Nueva York that he met. Each of the people on his floor has a page or more dedicated to them. 

Instrument HCs? Instrument HCs! Satoru can either go with the maracas or the launchpad, an instrument for mixing songs. By hitting one of the buttons, you can get a particular sound. Felt like this would fit him, since it’s filled with surprises and people wouldn’t know what sound would come out until you hit the buttons. (Reading this explanation, this might fit Suguru more.) Suguru with the piano or keyboard since it can go with multiple genres, just like their magic. (Also bc I read a fic of them with the HC that they used to play the piano.) It would be nice if Shoko could create sounds from its own body, since it is part glass, like a wine glass that emits sounds if you rub them with wet fingers. Both Kento and Yu play the guitar, since a guitar can also be used as a weapon to bash people or slice them. (Genre wise, Satoru is more EDM, Suguru is neoclassical like Yinu, Shoko is more rock based, and Yu and Kento are Rock.)

Of the JJK gang, only Yu is an extrovert. Everyone else either a) just not interested in making friends (Shoko and Nanami, although Shoko has another friend outside of SaSiSu and Nanami has Yu), b) have many ‘friends’ but they do not truly care for who they actually are (Satoru and Suguru).

It would be sad if SaSiSu didn’t know where they were going on the ride to Nueva York, but Nanami and Yu know. Liv shushes them when they try to tell SaSiSu that they are going fucking overseas, to another continent. 

The first few days the JJK gang were in Nueva York was quite wild. Satoru would be a bastard to anybody (far worse than usual), Suguru and Shoko are both pissed at themselves/each other for being caught, Yu is trying to pretend that everything is fine when he clearly isn’t, and Nanami has gone fully nonverbal and not responding to other people.

Did Liv ever do experiments or research on the kids at Nueva York? If so, I can see mostly (the sole exception being Ham) everyone flinching when they hear her voice. It’s worse in the JJK gang bc she was one of the people responsible for taking them here. 

The kids have learned quite a lot of swear words in various languages. EG: After Liv was defeated, Yu told her “¡Que te jodan, Liv!” (He saved up swearing for this moment, unlike the rest of his friends who were swearing regularly.) 

I can imagine Pav can summon extra sets of arms like his cousin. Seeing that, Shoko and Yu both tried to do so, and it worked. Magic buddies.

Hobie would never admit it, but they see SaSiSu as younger sibling figures. DJ sub sees Satoru as their son-figure to some extent too. 

DJ sub: “I have a son now.”

Neon J: “Did you… cheat on me?”

This is why I want Satoru and blues buddies to wear Halloween costumes based on the NSR megaartists. Satoru with a DJ sub hoodie, (it’s oversized, and blue decided to get as much candy as blue could as blue has a massive sweet tooth), Suguru as either Neon J or Catherine, Shoko as Tatiana (they use this chance to boss everyone around, trying to get the others to carry around their candy bucket, none of them mind), Yu as Neon J, Haym or Sayu, and Kento as Yinu or someone else. (Def not Eve) (DJ NECROPOLIS! THAT IS PERFECT FOR KENTO) (Although I would love to say Japanese Yokai would be a match for their costumes, it’s too close to the depressing canon material aka the Shibuya Incident arc, since they fight against them)

Miles and Gwen went for a matching costume, maybe as B2J? (Although Gwen was satisfied with a simple costume as a traffic cone, Miles went the extra… mile to get or make them a great costume) Margo dressed as Hatsune Miku, or maybe Peni did that (Peni can maybe wear matching costumes with Yinu, Carna, Synthia, etc), Noir as a pilot, (the goggles that they wear in ITSV are aviator goggles), Ham as Marilyn Monroe, Hobie as a glam rockstar ( or they say that Halloween is a capitalistic stunt that megacorporations pull and not join), Pavitr and Gayatri dress as matching vampires (anyway it’s romantic), Ganke as… (I am out of ideas lol) 

In canon, Suguru wears huge piercings and… *looks at Hobie and Bunny* … lets just say all of them jumped on the chance of being able to do some cool stuff 

Nanami’s Ratio power in this world sometimes works like Benny the space man in the Lego Movie. He could lightly hit something, and it would snap in the perfect ratio of 7:3.

How SaSiSu first met HC:

Satoru was forced to go through with an arranged marriage, with him meeting a bunch of girls. For obvious reasons, he isn’t interested. He would coldly turn them down, and now the Gojo clan was running out of options, and sought out the Ieiri family, with their daughter who has healing powers. Shoko met Satoru for the first time, and immediately told blues that they were not in this whole ordeal for marrying the strongest, they were in it for blues family’s money. Hearing how honest they were, Satoru laughed and told Shoko that he would “marry” them so that their parents could get off their asses. Both families are relieved that the two were getting along, and would follow their rules. Little did they know, these two were looking for Satoru’s potential boyfriend, while doing normal friend things for the first time. Then they meet Suguru. They are unfazed by the two, and tell them something. Satoru got pissed with that, but later realized that Suguru was seeing blues for the person blue really was. …the rest is history.

Glad you like sending these in! One thing though, these asks seem to be getting bigger and bigger. Do you think you could try breaking them up next time you send in some? Like if it’s a group of headcanons connected then you can send in a longer one, or even a bunch of unconnected ones, but try not to make these asks super long.

I am ABSOLUTELY okay with you sending in multiple asks with headcanons! They don’t all have to be on one ask. I just know some people might get annoyed seeing a SUPER long ask (which is why I put my answers under a cut to reduce the length even more).

I’m definitely having fun answering these, but the length is getting a bit long lol. I’m totally fine with multiple asks being sent, so don’t worry about “spamming” my inbox or whatever! :3

Also that is neat to know about how Japanese kids (well the whole culture) use surnames! Love learning about different cultures!

(Also also, finally made a spot in my document for a lot of the basic info for each of the characters so I don’t have to keep trying to find an ask to corroborate my answer to ask lol)

-Karate: Suguru kicking Yu’s ass in a sparring match and Yu just being so impressed at Suguru’s skill lol.

-Utahime: I thought that said Utahime hated SHOKO’s guts and thought this was some kind of one-sided friendship like Vendetta and Charlotte in Making Fiends lol!

Anyway, I can see Utahime probably blaming Satoru for the whole scheme and saying Shoko is not at fault at all (basically being blinded by friendship). But she does end up being disappointed in Shoko’s actions when it explains that it was at just as much fault as Satoru (and Suguru).

-Aroace Kento: Heck yea! Me and Kento are a similar type of AroAce! :3

Glad him and Yu are really good friends though. I can kinda see Yu maybe having had a crush on Kento at some point. Maybe that helped Kento realize he was AroAce, or maybe he knew before hand and Yu absolutely respected that. I don’t know, but it’s a nice thought to think about to me that something like that happened and they stayed friends.

-GhostAshFlower+Kento: I find touch to be easier when it’s not skin-on-skin contact so maybe Kento leaning against Yu with a pillow or blanket between them (like back to back or side to side leaning) is a way for Yu to get a type of physical contact when Miles and Gwen are doing solo snuggles. 

Sure small touches from these three and SaSiSu are okay, but for longer touches I can see Kento needing something between him and the other person (also depends on touch, like enveloping touches like hugs are a no-go, but leaning against each other or holding onto a sleeve is okay for longer periods of time with these people).

Definitely think this would be something Zimelu would suggest them to try if Kento wanted to get more physical but did not actually want to be touched (I definitely have wanted hugs but not to be touched at all so I can see Kento wanted a hug or something without being touched or enveloped and so this is a kinda good solution/coping mechanism that could be done).

-Gender relations: Yu starting a chain reaction lol. Kento and Satoru questioning is pretty cool. I can see them being like cis+ or something. Like they explore gender and all that but might end up realizing they are cis except with a much better understanding of themselves because of that exploration (or maybe realize they aren’t cis, or are like cis adjacent where they are close enough to being cis but not far enough to feel comfortable to use a different label).

-Trans flag/Yu’s parents: Ah, the classic “we love and care for you so much we are going to shelter you” trope. Obviously they are doing what they think is best in this situation, knowing how unaccepting people can be, but hiding the “unacceptable” stuff can also cause their kid to end up in a bad situation because of lack of knowledge depending on the situation.

Thankfully Yu was able to find friends who loved and cared for him, and had a good family to support him (and was also stealth for a long time), so he didn’t end up in an area/situation where he could have gotten very hurt because he wasn’t given the knowledge on how to be careful.

At least that is what hiding information seems like to me. If I know a specific bad thing could happen because of how I identify, that is knowledge I can use to navigate a situation I’ve never been in before but know about. For Yu, because he was being protected from seeing the “bad” side of things, he could have gotten into a situation and had no idea how to handle it (also this brings up the idea of what some people see as unacceptable vs others and how it can really change what is hidden based on who is hiding information).

-Sketchbook: Love the idea that since Miles got to Nueva York he just started drawing a whole bunch lol. Like the schooling in Nueva York is probably not as advanced as his school (which I think is a private school? idk) so he gets a lot of stuff finished quickly and has a lot of time to kill between counseling sessions and mandated hobby activities. So he just draws a bunch and so has like 3-4 biggish sketchbooks filled out by the time he leaves (which is a lot of drawing for the short amount of time he was at Nueva York).

Wonder if he ever wants to give his pages away to people but also wants to keep his sketchbooks intact. Definitely ends up finding a printer/scanner and gives out his better works to people he’s drawn.

-Instruments: With how influential and controlling Satoru’s family is, blue definitely knows how to play some kind of instrument. Usually I would say that a rich family would make their kids learn how to play something classical like piano or violin, but with how EDM has been the dominant music genre for years in the world thanks to Vinyl City, Satoru was probably forced to learn some kind of electric instrument/music tool. Honestly, the electric violin seems like something Satoru’s family would force blue to learn.

When he gets some more freedom though, he would probably really like something percussion based like maracas (or even a tambourine) or the launchpad so blue could have fun and be unpredictable so that it feels so much more freeing to make/play music now than when he was with his family.

Suguru playing piano and then going to a keyboard is a cool idea. Makes me think that’s the reason Satoru even found out about the launchpad, because Suguru was playing on a keyboard that could record sounds (like Gene Belcher’s keyboard from Bob’s Burgers) and he was having fun making keys play random sounds.

As for Shoko, pretty sure the wine glass thing needs like an opening for that to happen, like it being a thin walled bowl, so I don’t think they would be able to do that. The only place on their body that could possibly do that is the back when the cork is out. However, it could be inspired in its own body and end up playing glasses as like a gimmick! (also for some reason like the idea that Shoko plays the flute, idk why but I like it).

Genre-wise, I definitely see Satoru having EDM as a kind of comfort pick since that is what blue knew for most of his life and played a lot. Maybe blue ends up joining Suguru in playing regular classical music Shoko with Rock as a change of pace and to break free from some negative emotions associated with EDM that he has from his family.

Suguru playing neoclassical is pretty good. Probably plays some classical music at times without EDM influences just to relax (or like, he makes a bunch of random sounds for each key and plays like Bach or Beethoven with random ass sounds lol).

Shoko, Yu, and Kento being rock I think makes sense. Imagine if that is another reason Satoru’s family didn’t like Shoko lol, it plays rock which is “obviously not a good genre since no Vinyl City musician plays it” (this is the family’s ideology with rock as they are powerful enough to see how rock was thrown out of the city over the course of a decade and realized it was a dying genre. All of this was before the revolution which probably didn’t change the family’s mind all that much).

-Introverts/Extrovert: Yu is the extrovert that drags the introverted friends around to make more friends lol. But honestly yeah, having a LOT of friends is really exhausting and also the fact it takes an introvert like me at least 2-3 years of knowing someone before I even call them a friend at all (which just makes the idea of making new friends super hard for me to want to do).

At least these 5 have each other for friends! I’m sure Yu will help the group grow more (like with the arachnikids) so hopefully the other 4 can make more close friends without even realizing it.

-Nueva York Ride: I honestly think they would know where they were going. The counselors (or even just Miguel) would have explained everything (or everything they needed to know) to the teens before getting them on the bus. They wouldn’t have a choice whether they were going or not, but they wouldn’t be kept in the dark because that could be a dangerous situation where people with powers are freaking out thinking they are being kidnapped or something (even if they have power suppressing watches on, having these teens freak out or be in the total dark is not something that will be good for them).

Olivia would honestly be really chatty with the kids. She would tell them how different exercises would go and how this is going to be a learning experience for everyone on how their powers work. Basically she would be talking more about the science side of things and how great this is and to look on the bright side. Honestly this would probably freak the teens out a little bit thinking that Miguel lied to them and they are being taken to a lab to be experimented on like animals (which… is kinda true).

-First days: Yeah, that’s basically how I see it going as well. Those reactions are basically the main reactions that come out of all newbies who get to Nueva York. Another reaction would be total obedience, thinking that doing everything you are told as perfectly as possible will get you out sooner. All these reactions apply to people who were forced to go to Nueva York, those who volunteered to go are a lot more calm about being there on their first few days (obviously because they had the choice).

-Experiments: Technically she does. But it’s more like she takes like blood and hair samples from the kids, helps with physicals, and makes them use their powers in certain tests for observation and possibly manipulation (like having a watch on a low setting and making the kids use their powers).

It’s not like she is sticking needles with multicolor liquids into these kids or performing vivisections or something. She probably would if it weren’t completely unethical, and anyone who works with her can tell that, which is why almost everyone who sees her scientist side is freaked out by her.

Did I say that Ham is not afraid of Liv? I swear I thought I said they were afraid of Olivia. I can honestly say that Ham would be the one Liv cared about least because their powers can’t really work when afraid, so them being afraid of her makes their power super weak as they can’t find humor in the situation. (Maybe Ham doesn’t flinch because they are frozen in fear. This is also why Jonathan has to be the one to fight Liv because she traumatized everyone else so much they are too afraid to fight, well maybe except Hobie who would have gladly fought Olivia if it knew it wasn’t needed with the Miguel fight).

Anyway, I like the idea that Olivia is like Moira from Overwatch. She is willing to do anything for the pursuit of science, even experimenting on herself or others. The only real difference is that Liv is a lot more friendly and hasn’t been pushed yet to actually commit atrocities to humanity yet like Moira has.

(Also, Olivia isn’t the only scientist doing these experiments that I said earlier, but she is the head scientist so she has constant interactions with all patients compared to other scientists, doctors, or nurses).

-Swears: Yeah, we are talking about a lot of teens who all know different languages. They are absolutely teaching each other swear words (especially Hobie who already knows a TON of swears in multiple different languages thanks to Ex-Jay and Bunny lol).

Also, Yu saving his swear pass until Liv is defeated is so funny to me. Because I can see him saying that, and Liv moves a little and he immediately backs up thinking she isn’t fully defeated and is still kinda scared of her.

-Extra arms: Love the idea that everyone was watching Eve on the TV or something doing a performance where she makes extra arms and people start asking Pav if he can do that too. He has no idea but tries and is able to do it (though they aren’t as real as Eve sometimes and so if they are holding an object sometimes they become incorporeal and drop what he is holding).

After a bit Shoko, Yu, and even Satoru were able to make extra arms, or at least like floating hands (Shoko’s being made of light, Yu’s made of ash with some like grass tufts in them, and Satoru’s being the most like Eve’s in a real sense but made of space and kinda see through).

-Familial figures: I can see Hobie just seeing a majority of the arachnikid and JJK cast as younger sibling figures. Definitely takes a bit longer to care about Satoru and Suguru with their attitudes, but once mutual respect is made I can see Hobie becoming very much protective of all of them like an older sibling.

As for DJSS, I don’t know. I don’t see Nova as one to really want to be a father figure all that much or would want to have kids/teens really. Like he has no problem teaching young minds, or helping take care of kids to an extent (like taking care of the younger 1010s or Yinu), but actually saying that they see Satoru as their kid/son-figure is not something I think would happen.

Having it the other way, where Satoru sees Nova as a kind of father-figure that is better than blues own father, is definitely something I can see happening. Nova would do their best to like, help out where he can, but becoming a fully father-figure for extended periods of time is not honestly something I see them doing.

Also, if this did happen, Neon would absolutely want to also be a father figure to Nova’s new son. He actually loves children/teens and wants to be a good father (now the question on if he actually IS a good father is a totally different discussion).

-Halloween (JJK): I don’t think Catherine or Neon J are really people to dress up as. At least not Catherine as she is just Yinu’s mother and manager to the public. Neon J probably started becoming a lot more active after the Rock Revolution so more people probably would try to dress up as him for halloween.

Anyway, Yu is definitely going as Sayu (and then him and Gwen have that moment of “well someone is going to have to change” because she also dressed up as Sayu that same halloween lol). Kento dressing up as DJ Necropolis is so funny to me lol.

I don’t know about the Shibuya Incident, but dressing up as Yokais would probably be pretty fun. Or like just different creatures from different cultures like the Gan Ceann/Headless rider of Irish folklore, or like Phoenixes from Egyptian myths.

-Halloween (Arachnikids): Gwen I can see wanting to be Sayu, but when she finds out Yu is gonna dress as Sayu instead dresses up with Miles. I can see Frankenstien and the Bride of Frankenstien being their costumes for some reason.

I like Margo dressing as her own version of Hatsune Miku a lot. Makes me think of all the different Miku designs that look absolutely beautiful and Margo would have so much fun making a costume of her own version of Miku.

Peni and Yinu I can see maybe doing some kind of matching costumes (don’t know what though), but Carna and Synthia wouldn’t. Marigold might match with Yinu and Peni. Carna does not like the idea of matching costumes at all and would rather do faer own thing. Synthia probably wouldn’t even get a costume. He would have to make it himself (or have the others help him but he wouldn’t ask for help so he’d make it himself). He’d probably be like a ghost or something simple, since he’s just in it for the candy and since his mom doesn’t want him around so trick-or-treating is the best thing he can do that night.

Ham as Mailyn Monroe. 100%. Love it! 

Hobie is probably gonna participate in the sense that they are gonna hang out with everyone. Probably tell them to make their own costumes and not just buy stuff to feed into consumerism and capitalism (especially people like Yinu who is very used to buying parts of her costumes instead of making things from hand, which she probably hasn’t done since her dad was alive). I will say though, Hobie is most likely buying a bunch of discounted halloween candy once the holiday is over. Sure it’s feeding the capitalistic machine, but it’s also candy that is gonna get wasted if not bought (and they could go and give it away to kids, friends, people who are down on their luck and need a small boost along with any other help Hobie is offering).

Pav and Gaya are definitely doing matching costumes like Miles and Gwen are. I like the idea of them being vampires. Seems really cute and they would definitely pretend to bite each other all throughout the night and be laughing and having so much fun.

Ganke also matches with Miles and Gwen, but in a funny way. So if they are Frankenstien and the Bride, Ganke is the doctor, or if they are Jack and Sally, Ganke is Zero. The three are gonna have fun with it lol

-Piercings: Hobie helping Suguru start getting piercings in Nueva York (with like a needle and fire, definitely not professional but Hobie does know what they are doing because of Bunny), but once they are out of there Hobie takes Suguru (and anyone else who wants piercings) to Bunny who helps Suguru start his journey for guages.

-Nanami Spaceman: I never watched the Lego Movie, but I looked up a video with all Benny scenes and omg he is amazing! Love that little Lego guy!

But anyway, you mean when Benny hits the spaceship and it falls apart? That power? Because honestly that is really funny to think about where like if Nanami is upset and so bonks his head on a table and then the table just splits in a 3:7 ratio lol. Because that would prove that sometimes Nanami can’t control his powers, which just reinforces Nueva York to keep him there (even though it is a very funny thing to happen lol).

-SaSiSu first meet: 

Satoru: “Let’s take a look see. Hate your hair. Not likely. Yikes. Yikes yikes. And, let me guess, you have a great personality?”

Love the fact that Shoko is just honest about being a gold digger lol. It was already scamming before the three were friends (honestly Shoko being the one who started the healing/power stealing scam seems a lot more likely now than Satoru).

Glad the three were able to become friends even with the weird ways they met each other.

Talking about headcanons is fun! So yeah, keep sending them in if you want and they keep making you happy! Just, you know, send them in multiple asks if they feel like they are getting really long. Just so people who don’t want to scroll a long time don’t have to.

I would say that headcanons like the instruments, the first meeting, and halloween costume ideas (both groups together) can each be their own ask. Like that is a good length to cut off size-wise. While things like the piercings, extra set of arms, introvert/extrovert, and sketchbook headcanons are all small enough to send as a single ask.

Obviously I’m not gonna be super strict about asks length honestly, so if you end up making a long ask that you can’t separate because it’s all one thing then don’t worry about it! This is just something to note because I can’t shorten asks like I can my answers and I know some people don’t like to see super long asks (I know sometimes I don’t when scrolling tumblr lol).

Anyway! This was all fun to talk about like usual! Honestly my fave part was talking about Olivia and how people are scared of her lol. Satoru being slightly unfazed because of his upbringing would be a neat thing that occurs, or blue is even more scared of her because of how he was treated by his family. Could go either way!

Ducktales 2017 au where Newton exists and lives with Boyd, Bulb, and Gyro

I couldn’t help myself, I need to write down some lore because all I can think about is this wacky family dynamic

Basic Storyline (so far):

Newton has visited and stayed with Gyro many times beforehand, so he has some experience in taking care of children

At some point, Newton’s father dies (experiment gone wrong, illness, a car crash, etc.) and is put under Gyro’s care since Gyro was his only living relative near him

Gyro wasn’t sure if he would be a good parental figure, but he swore to do anything for his nephew

In this au, Newton is a member of the junior woodchucks, and he becomes good friends with at first Huey, then Violet and Boyd

Newton’s favorite activity is when he gets to visit his uncle’s laboratory and help out on inventions, he’s good friends with Fenton and Manny

Bulb was at first jealous about having another person near Gyro, but he learned to warm up to Newton and occasionally perches up on his blond nest hair

When meeting Boyd, Newton thought the kid was pretty cool, but he was confused as to why his uncle was afraid of him when Huey and him brought Boyd to his lab

After much begging and persuading, Newton got to join the crew in Tolkyolk

Newton was happy to have Boyd join their small wacky family after all that happened, Bulb wasn’t too keen but he learns to warm up to Boyd

For the sake of my science family headcannon, Boyd chose to leave the Drakes and move in with his creator

Gyro now has three kids living with him and he’s a happy science dad (he’ll never admit it to though)

Newton, Boyd, and Bulb are usually well behaved but sometimes their troublemaking attitudes come out and they can be handful for Gyro

Random Headcannons:

Boyd and Newton’s favorite show is Courage of the Cosmos and they’ll always beg Gyro to let them stay up later when there’s a marathon running

Boyd looks up to Gizmoduck, and Newton looks up to Paperinik…ssh, let it happen

Gyro was fine going back into the superhero business, but he’s not too keen about both Boyd and Newton also being interested with helping Gizmoduck and Paperinik

When Gyro finally allows his kids to follow both superheroes out on training missions, he glares at both Fenton and Donald as if to tell them, “They better come back in one piece, unharmed. Or else.”

I have no idea if Gyro would date in this universe, I’ve had funky crackships happen here for my amusement (Gyro with Steelbeak, Falcon Graves, heck even Launchpad) but I imagine he’d stay single

I just want Bulb to spend most of his time perched on top of either his brother or cousin whenever he hangs out with them

There are times where the kids have nightmares about Gyro leaving, and every time it happens Gyro let’s them sleep with him, does some comfort preening, and assures his kids he’d never leave them

Before permanently staying with his uncle, Newton would visit him occasionally, he always wondered why other people would say his uncle was cold and mean because Gyro was the exact opposite for Newton.

Gyro’s soften up a lot since being a parent, but he’s definitely the happiest when Newton or Boyd is around

Newton was so inspired by Lil’ Bulb for a science project one time that he decided to a model a robot like it, except with a yellow light bulb and a blue body. He called it “Edi”

Imagine Ducklair tower existing, imagine Gyro not having any choice but to bring his kids with him to his night job, imagine Boyd and Newton meeting Uno and Paperinik

Yes Gyro works as both Scrooge’s head of research and developement as well as mission control for Paperinik shush, the man already has a bad sleep schedule as it is (and I’m not making it any better yes I know)

Psycho and Harmony

So, in this world everything is like the negaverse except a bit worse.

Psycho duck is drake and runs an empire of terror

His brother jim is a hero trying to stop him but is also haunted by past abuse and the line of morals

Drake actually works with shush ( they are the bad guys) he gives them prisoners to torture or the other way around. He runs the show like a boss and has many connections ( he may or may not of kidnapped a fowl high command member and the that’s why fowl is both pissed wary of him)

Fowl is good but they are more wary and timid. Yes they help others but…this world is full of SO many bad eggs it’s hard.

Now…to others

Now…these are gonna be the main bad guys for now.

So. Launchpad is called “ Blood Tracker” He’s a dangerous man known to be a killer. He is also a collector. He hunts down traitors or people.

Binky and herb “ Mama Pain & Daddy Fear (same in negaverse) except they run a ‘school’ to train kids to be fighters for drake. They also run a prisoner for captured prisoners ( or people shush deem enemies). They get help from shush too. They torture and break their prisoners to be either slaves or workers for them.

Gosalyn. Ooooh hehehe. This is gonna be good. So….she is sweet and innocent like Nega gosalyn. HOWEVER…she is a terror. Sweet blood stained smile, creepy eyes and a sickening voice…she’s a master manipulative person. She is drakes secret weapon. She is used to lure targets or interrogate people. She will use violence and your own self doubt and anxiety against you. She has broken many mentally and psychologically. That’s why she earned the name “ The mind blender” she also is able to lure kids who are abused or neglected to listen to her. She also kidnaps other kids. She has the ability to see a persons fears and insecurity.

I also might call this world the psycho verse.

Phantom AU

another AU cuz I have no self control 

.In the AU media knew about Donalds pranks but never seen him so when he changes his interests people assume it's a diffrent person and call him Avenger (just avenger Im not capable of drawing antropomorfic ducks so it's also human AU ). As a result Donald has 2 secret idenities Avenger and Phantom (with time he changes interests from pranks to more robin hood like / gentelmen thief stuff)

Even when he retires as PK he still does Phantom's work (he would sometimes use money he gets this way when he loses his job to take care of triplets ).

Im finally getting to DonDrake stuff. ^^'

Drake is tasked with catching Phantom becouse he was stealing SHUSH's information and Donald becomes one of suspects (haven't worked out how yet maybe Launchpad mentions that he was hurt in way that matched Phantoms I dunno) and thats were they meet for the first time . Drake imitedly falls in love .( I also changed the way Im drawing Donald for some reason )

ASOUE AU? ASOUE AU. Pt 1 (Characters)

Okay so I just posted a little doodle I did for an A Series of Unfortunate Events AU that I had been thinking about ever since I realized that Esmé was obviously Magica's VA (which was 3 days ago so oop). I don't have all the characters figured out right now (mostly bc quite frankly there aren't really enough adults that act so... neglectful towards the kids in ducktales). I'll list the ones I am pretty concrete on VS the ones I'm unsure or ones that I "reimagined" due to not everyone fitting perfectly in this world.

Characters that are Definite:

Glomgold as Count Olaf: Think about it, horrible actor/cosplayer (yes thats what he is). Both obsessed about riches, revenge and are generally incompetent. Really, Olaf is much more wicked in the ASOUE series imo (bc even tho Glomgold wants to kill Scrooge and steal his money. This anger only extends his wards if he wishes to use them against Scrooge and is less keen on the murdering of kids. Notice I said LESS). Not 100% if I want him to be as...well explicit as Olaf can be at times. Especially his characterization in the Bad Beginning if you know what I mean (pst it's child marriage)

Magicia DeSpell as Esmé Squalor: Like I said, this is a no brainer. She has the stage performance of Magicia with a bit of Mark Beaks Mom (forget her name) mixed in. Probably would downplay her love for fashion and replace it with an obsession with the occult. I would also not have her be obsessed with Glomgold, its more in character for Glomgold to be obsessed with her anyhow. It is also possible bc I tend to believe she is a more compelling villian in canon that she might take the place of Glomgold on the Island in "The End". But I also plan for Scrooges Number One Dime to replace the Sugar bowl so, maybe not.

Doofus Drake as Calmanita Splats: Duh, spoiled brat who is very creepy and probably has parents that want them dead? Instead of wanting to sing all the time he mainly wants to wreak things/people. He still definitely dresses up tho into a hodgepodge of things. It always changes and Glomgold is always annoyed by this but he likes him more than Magicia. She definitely wants him dead just like Olaf in the series (she really hates kids).

Duckworth as Larry your waiter: Yeah not much competition for this role. It was either him or Launchpad. Duckworth is too perfect for this role and he honestly will play a better spy than canon Larry. If I ever write it out a lot of the "fight scenes" and anime-esque "explaining how I fooled you" dialogue will definitely be reworked but still present. I will however not keep out the main theme of neglect or ignorance with the adults, they will still fail in that regard as always but will just not literally stand there and tell Olaf "We finally caught you, now let me explain why we are so smart oh no you set something on fire again". I mean...maybe for a Mr. Poe but not the VFD. Or...SHUSH I should say but more on that later (or in another post who knows?)

Scrooge McDuck as Lemony Snicket (sorta): Okay so OBVIOUSLY we can't have our "Lemony" have the hots for the McDuck siblings mom (yes another thing I must explain oh boy). Scrooge will still be gilted in love by, of course Goldie though I am still not 100% if she should play part of the the role of Kit Snicket (again NOT related to Scrooge) or should she be someone else entirely. Scrooge is basically the reason everything is happening in this AU just like the canon Lemony but writes sad letters to Donald and Della as well as Goldie. As you might of well guessed, Scrooge's Fortune is also the riches the McDuck's have.

Fethry Duck as Dr. Monty: Of course a snake lover will become a marine lover in this AU! Also of COURSE Mitzy will play the roles of the incredibly deadly viper AND the great unknown! Fethry and Dr. Monty not being mentioned by their family but also too enthralled with their studies to care all that much (but seriously thats fucked up ducktales). Totally made for this role. As far as setting goes this will be where the siblings will be underwater first but since the series already has plently of aquatic locals I will probably swap out the Lake Lacamose story with Peru or the Galapagos. Speaking of...

Ms. Quackfaster as Aunt Josephine: For narrative purposes it would make sense that Ms. Quackfaster would lose her edge as a brave and bold woman. For what exact reason I am still trying to figure out. Not sure if I still want to keep the "Ike" storyline, maybe she just got really spooked by FOWL. Maybe some creature from the Galapagos ate her leg or something.

Ma Beagle as Dr. Orwell: This particular role was sort of hard for me to cast due to the fact that Dr. Orwell is older and romantically involved with Olaf (at least its sorta there). I really didn't want to give this role to Owlson bc other than she isn't a bad person, she is also way too young. Ma Beagle already has a similar motivation im canon to want to reclaim Duckburg as Beagleburg so the Terrible Mills plot to frame the B for causing a fire in order to have control over the mill is very in line with Ma. I originally wanted the Beagle Boys be working in the Mill but since I am changing the setting to Egypt, I decided to use the people stuck in the pyrimid (idk what they are actually called) and will either use Amulet, Launchpad or Dijin as Cookie

Characters that are Mixed with others:

Huey Duck as the Narrative Role of Violet B.: I mostly imagined(?) the kid characters in a approximation of set characters from the books/series. For this reason, Huey plays the ROLE of Violet Baudelaire so that he can take the "inventor" occupation. I went back and forth on finding who would have Violet's quirk of using an object to help her think. My mind originally went to Webby since she has a bow and I wanted Huey's obsession with the Incomplete History of Secret Organizations to take the place of his JWG. However I reworked it so that Huey's JWG would act as Violet's ribbon with him having to flip through his beat up (and slightly burnt) journal to find a quick solution or just to calm his nerves. Something that applies to all the triplets and twins is that their last names are changed to "McDuck" mostly bc it sounds better that they are later called the "McDuck Murders" instead of the "Duck Murders" as well as Scrooges edited role in the kids lives. He has a mix of Klaus' social awkwardness and habit of talking at length about his special interests to whoever will listen. Huey is also the one who gets hypnotized in the Miserable Mill ep.

Louie Duck as the Narrative Role of Sunny B.: Pretty sure I swapped Louie and Webby for this role in my first post but whatever. I wanted to confusingly change Klaus' role into a "Charmer" or "smooth talker" (obviously still a work in progress) since I felt that Huey in DuckTales canon was always well researched as well a good mechanic and having two characters who pretty much fit the same role was... redundant. I also wanted to really make Webby's Sunny much more inline with her notorious/abnormal fighting abilities. However, I realized that instead of changing Klaus' role I should just change Sunny's characterization since I would have to rework it anyways since she was a baby. I also got the idea from recently rewatching the series and saw Sunny basically trick her way out of being trapped with the Hook handed man (i.e. Fernald). I will instead make Louie's role as what he functionally is in DuckTales (the guy who can talk his way out of anything). He would probably also say his occupation is "Defense Attorney" or something along those lines. He is also the one who gets captured the most but not by much. However while he still has Sunny's sarcasm, he also has Klaus' inherit skeptism and distrust of adults.

Webby Vanderquack as the Narrative Role of Klaus B.: Like I said in Louie's segment, Webby is changed to Klaus or more accurately the "Researcher" of the group. She is often the one who stays up late, researching ways to get out of Glomgold's schemes. Unlike Klaus though, she has more of the optimism of Violet but might not put as much belief into all authority as Huey might. She still has role models that she looks up to but isn't against bending the rules. She also unfortunately takes Violet's role of becoming "Olaf's bride" in the Bad Beginning. In the story she has always lived with the McDucks but didn't take their name and still had Mrs. B (until she was around 10, she was 12ish when the fire happened). However, she is still in the McDuck Will and therefore Glomgold hatches a plan to use her to get the fortune. She also tricks him by signing her name "Vanderduck" or "McDuck" instead of Vanderquack to make the marriage null in void. She is also a mix of Sunny since she is generally the most physically capable out of the children.

Dewey Duck as the Narrative Role as Quigley Quagmire: Okay honestly after a rewatch, I don't exactly know what makes Duncan and Quigley that different from each other. I'm pretty sure Duncan is the Klaus of his siblings but whatever. Dewey mostly just 1/2 of the reveal that two people survived the fire during the Carnival segment (which is changed to an underground wrestling theme for reasons to be explained). I am fairly certain that during the last part of the Village of Fowl Devotees I want Dewey be the one left behind with Webby and Lena that way we can have more time spent with him and Weblena/ Magicia v Lena drama. Dewey's occupation would be "Comedian/Host/Actor" . He also is the one the adults ignore during the first half and will be the subject of Triplet/only child jokes that the Quagmires face.

Gosalyn Mallard as the Narrative Role of Duncan Quagmire: Okay so like, no she isn't related or adopted by the Quagmires

Lena Saberwing as the Narrative Role of Isadora Quagmire: c'mon both these kids like poetry. Literally I can think of no other DuckTales kid that likes that (other than Webby but that was more of her liking Lena's stuff). She will still have her background as Magica's niece and might take some of the role of Fernald where he gets redeemed by betraying Olaf/saving Sunny. I am unsure by what extent though as she isn't going to be a henchperson of Glomgold or Magica. It might be that she is uses morally questionable ways to get what she wants/needs. Maybe she is "good" but has to commit a terrible act similar to how the Baudelaires have to burn down the carnival.

Characters that I am uncertain about or straight up don't have someone in that role:

Violet Saberwing as the Narrative Role of Fiona Widdershins: Like Fiona, Violet was also originally distrusted by a part of the cast (in this AU, it probably be Webby and/or Louie as Huey catches feelings lol). She is also obsessed with the occult not fungus and has to save probably Louie from losing his soul or something (wip). Violet more than any of the main cast of kids will probably act more like her canon self since she is naturally straight forward and booksmart. She probably gets forced to stay with Glomgold until her and Lena can escape again. Also since I didn't want it to be another underwater local and wanted it to relate to DuckTales17 a bit more closely I thought it be better if they were in the sky. Maybe Violet got the Sun chaser or maybe even the Spear of Selene. Maybe instead of going to look for their dads (since they are dead oof) they come back at The End to tell the McDuck Siblings et all that they might of found something...or someone important.

Boyd as the Narrative Role of Friday: This is definitely more of a stretch as really he is only Friday because in role only because I want him at the Island at The End so that he can save the siblings from whatever organic incident happens since he is still an android. I previously thought he could also fit the role of Fernald since he could go through a redemption arc easier due to him sorta going through one in the show. Its not out of the realm of possibility that Glomgold could have reprogrammed him to obey him (he might still do something similar I haven't figured it out 100%).

Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera as the narrative role of Hector: He probably won't faint as much as Hector but he will have to be pushed by the kids to be confident in himself during the Vile Village (which will probably change to a Capital city since I plan to rework FOWL into this). Maybe its similar to a military academy which makes having a set of rules make sense. Its also possible that Fenton escapes with some of the kids in the Sunchaser by the end of this.

Steelbeak as the Narrative Role of Fernald Widdershins: I mainly chose him because Steelbeak and Hookhanded man both most clearly are shown to be sympathic antagonists. They are still functionally villians, much more so than any of the children like Boyd or Lena who, yeah, have done bad things but in one case wasn't given the freewill to decide for himself or was but when she decided to stand up for herself she was literally tortured and had her freedom taken away (more so than in the beginning since. Steelbeak would, like Fernald, be making a choice as an adult man to be apart of a mad man's troop and was harden enough to commit murder if it meant he could impress his boss. But because he is not related to (by blood or otherwise) any protagonist I struggle to know where to put him. I might still have him defect during the end of what would have been the Grim Grotto ep and comes back with the Saberwings at The End. Maybe he brings Gosalyn back after finding her at some point, maybe he dies somewhere towards The End. Not sure.

Gladstone/Ghost of Christmas Past/News Reporter Lady as the Narrative Role of Mr. Poe/Mr. Poes Wife: wow this one is really confusing. My reasoning behind these picks is because The News lady would be a great pick for Mr. Poe's wife or at least a substitute as she has similar motivations in DT17. The biggest set back for her tho is that she has no reason to be on the Baudelaire case (or McDuck case anyways). Ghost of Christmas past is a bit of a stretch since why the fuck would he be in charge of making sure the kids had guardians? I mainly want him just bc of his motivation (or lack thereof) to do his job and being incompetent at it. Gladstone while making some sense that he also would be uncaring about where the kids go is also a stretch given he is a relative and he while he might not care 100% about their whereabouts he wouldn't lose them like Mr. Poe would simply bc he is so damn Lucky. Its possible to work that against him, maybe in a scenerios like where he drops off the kids but gets whisked away because some rando gifts him a boat. Still unsure.

Mrs. Beakley as either the Narrative Role of Jaclyn S (Mr. Poes Secretary/VFD spy)., Olivia C. (Librarian): I want Mrs. B to have a role which fits her being experienced and competent but also met a tragic demise. I might mix the experience of JS with the fate of OC. Poor Webby.

Justice Strauss as ???: I'll be honest, I am stumped with this one. This is a very important role to fill and I can't quite find an adult character that fits the bill of Justice Strauss. Mrs. B is too smart, Launchpad studying law while ridiculous, is something inline with the show but he doesn't have a DT17 motivation similar enough to Strauss where he's desires can be exploited nor has he really want kids in the same sense as Strauss. Drake Mallard is close since he is an actor but having him work with law is a bit of a stretch, I also think that making him somewhat bumbling is an insult to his character but Strauss is tragic since she WANTS to very much be the Baudelaires guardian but fails so much. Maybe in a safer world she could have been, maybe if they were luckier. She loves them so much, but they run away where she can't find them to at least try to be there for them and is left heart broken by the end. Whoever becomes JS is in for a world of hurt and I'm sorry. Goofy could also be a replacement, maybe Max died for more angst 😬.

Goldie or Daisy as the narrative role of Kit Snicket: This kinda gets really fanfic-y as neither of these characters really fit nicely into this role. Goldie definitely has the skill of Kit and her disregard for the rules but the pregnancy thing is... something. Not entirely sure if I actually want her to be pregnant but I also want a Beatrice II type character (of course she would be named Della II) but again very fanfic-y. Daisy I am more comfortable being the one who gets pregnant, she might take Olivias role as the new VFD recruit instead of Kits more seasoned one. All I know is that if either or both outcomes exist they will die also a Dewey Deanumont(?) Character wouldn't be the father it would of course be Donald or Scrooge depending who gets pregnant.

Jacques Snicket as ???: Another mystery for me. Functionally? Maybe Manny could play this role or even Launchpad (he really is just my go to for any character idk about huh?) Whoever it is will die but wont have a romance with the Olivia character(s). Maybe its Goofy lmao.

The AU in question

Yes!! Aaaaahh i was so excited when I saw this ask because i’m so happy people still like it!! I’m definitely still thinking about it, don’t worry. The old AU hinges on the fact that FOWL doesn’t have a way into Scrooge’s company and family but uhhhh that’s not how it is now lmao. So I’ve been thinking about revamping it for a couple months now. I don’t want to do anything concrete until we know a little more about FOWL and how it works. We know who its agents are and a little bit about its goals but we really don’t know anything about its inner workings, what the Board’s dynamic is with their agents, what their dynamic is with modern SHUSH (if it even exists), etc etc. all of which are things that would probably be addressed in the Team Spyience AU! It is an AU but I’d like to build on canon as much as possible (unless there’s something that I really don’t vibe with) since it’ll be cleaner and less confusing that way. Like if I threw 2019 Team Spyience AU at you guys rn it would 1) be confusing since the FOWL structure and motives are completely different from canon and 2) be less interesting since there’s SO much potential for angst and drama with the Board, Rockerduck/Jeeves, and Gandra as part of FOWL. (and oh boy I’m so excited to work with that!!!)

that being said I have built a bit of a shaky foundation for a redone Team Spyience AU for when we learn more!! and ahhh i’m so excited to share. For bullet points, here are some ideas swimming around in my head. these all could change with new information from the show or just if i think of something better tbh

so this might change when we learn more about the Board in general and the nitty-gritty of FOWL’s plans, but right now I’m thinking that the Board realizes that 1) Gyro and his ragtag band of science nerds are powerful and stubborn, and will most definitely get in the way of their plans 2) Gyro already hates the Board, and if anyone in McDuck Enterprises were to pick up on their treason, it would be him 3) They have a strong foothold for control in the company, second only to Scrooge (and even that’s debatable), but they have minimal control over Gyro and the science department. So this time around it’s less about needing to spy on Scrooge and more about wanting to control Gyro and Team Science. how that translates to “capturing them and forcing them to spy on their boss and his family” is still up in the air, but i’ll let you guys know when i figure it out! (and if you all have any ideas lmk)

we all know Gyro dislikes the Board but it’s mostly just annoyance/spite since they always shut down his inventions. Here, though, he would hate them. He would probably start like smack-talking them to everyone he can, especially Scrooge, which is his own way of trying to get them to realize the Board is evil without tipping the Board off to his treachery. Scrooge would be confused and it would be like the first crack in the Board’s carefully built facade, but it wouldn’t work for him. He probably just thinks Gyro’s being his mean self.

Huey, though... I’m pretty sure Huey’s gonna end up researching FOWL since it’s his season, and he spends enough time around Team Science to notice how off they’re all acting, without being too busy to pay it much mind (like Scrooge). so one of Gyro’s snarky remarks will tip him off, and he’ll start to view the Board with a little more suspicion each time. Until he comes to the conclusion through his research, and SHUSH resources like Beakley and Webby, that oh god that was an allusion to FOWL the Board is FOWL-

and then- wait is Gyro FOWL?? is Team Science okay?? this goes deeper than I thought-

so essentially the B-plot of this AU is Huey (with the help of the rest of the kids, but especially Webby, Boyd, and Violet) researching FOWL in the background and trying to figure out why Team Science is acting so weird lately, and there’s a lot of dramatic irony

FOWL definitely threatens Boyd to get to Gyro because I love me some quality Boyd & Gyro family content 😌

I originally thought about working a “Gyro is a former FOWL agent that got away by the skin of his teeth” aspect into the AU since I was really fond of that concept when it was a theory, but now it’s been disproven. It does make for a lot of extra drama and angst, but I don’t think it quite fits, so I might just make that an entirely separate AU. I might add some non-canon bonus content with this concept though!

The majority of Team Science’s dynamic throughout the AU stays the same - they’re all incredibly stressed and on edge and just in a really sticky situation, so they snap at each other and have a lot of petty arguments. But at the same time, they’re all in the really sticky situation together, and so they come out of this mess a whole lot closer. It’s sort of a “You’re the only ones I can be honest with without dire consequences” situation.

also re: that last point - CUDDLE PUDDLES. i’m so soft for them. i’m thinking maybe on a night when FOWL makes them all stay in the cells overnight as a punishment or smth, but they’re all in one cell, they just fall asleep all on top of each other and it’s just a really sweet moment made bittersweet by the circumstances. it’s also a testament to how far their relationship has come under pressure and how much they trust each other now.

Gyro is the only target originally (I’m thinking maybe Fenton, Manny, and Lil’ Bulb catch the Board in the act and it’s very dramatic and terrifying. i think they’re originally gonna kill Team Science, since FOWL has a very take-no-prisoners leave-no-loose-ends sort of mindset, but Gyro convinces the Board that the majority of Scrooge McDuck’s research team mysteriously dying in one fell swoop would be extremely suspicious, especially since Scrooge has an in-house former SHUSH agent. so they live, miraculously, but the Board lets all of them know in no uncertain terms that if it happens again, the other person dies. No ifs, ands, or buts. So Team Science is all very, very nervous and careful about what they let slip. They want to tell everyone, especially Scrooge, but they can’t because they care too much. (Hence Gyro making passive-aggressive comments about the Board to Scrooge.) and of course everyone else gets suspicious and resentful since they know Team Science is hiding stuff from them. so that leads to a lot of drama and arguments.

speaking of the drama and arguments from the outside, the kids are doing their own investigation, but I headcanon Della as friends with Gyro from before the Spear of Selene, and she has a budding friendship with Fenton too. So she’d notice they’re all acting really weird and bailing on all her plans, so she storms down to the lab and tries an aggressive tactic to get them to fess up. They don’t, obviously, so she goes on a little investigation of her own. I’m thinking she might drag Launchpad and Donald into it - Launchpad since he’s good friends with Team Science, and Donald because I love him and I want him involved they’re the Duck Twins and they work best together.

I have this scene floating around in my head where, in the very beginning, FOWL agents/Eggheads capture Gyro and drag him to FOWL HQ underneath Funzo’s to be briefed on his new situation. He’s stuck in one of those glass cells Launchpad and Dewey were in when Steelbeak brought them back in the Double-O-Duck episode. The Board knows he’s there, but Gyro has no clue they’re villains. So they come to the cell to brief and belittle him (let’s be honest here, they’ve never liked Gyro) and he just. He’s pissed. Spitting mad. He’s always resented the Board but never like this; never pictured them as actual powerful villains. He may be spiteful of them because they shut down his projects, but at the end of the day, they’re good guys. They’re on his side, and more importantly, Scrooge’s side. Right?

So Gyro is like, up against the glass, trying to punch them through the airholes. He’s just so fucking furious. He’s not really thinking straight and he doesn’t care about any dignity, he’s just angry. The Board is just overly smug and pleased with themselves. It’s a very stereotypical “You’ll never get away with this, you villain!!” picture, and very dramatic. And then the Board just walks away after giving him a bare-bones explanation of the situation that he doesn’t really process because he’s so mad and terrified. And they turn off all the lights and let him stew in there overnight.

Once Huey and the kids have finally put the pieces together, Webby comes to the Bin one day with Scrooge, and she goes to the meeting room to look for him. Only he’s not in there - The Board is, and they’re berating Gyro for sassing off about them to Scrooge or smth. Webby, with all her trained spy skills, hears their conversation and is able to avoid detection (although the Board is suspicious, and they start investigating to tie off any loose ends). Their conversation, though, would be suspicious to any oblivious passerby, but from all the research the kids have done, they know what’s going on.

That’s not the actual reveal - I think thematically that should go to Huey, since he’s the closest to Team Science and it’s his season. This would just chase away any last doubts the kids may have. And maybe Webby gets a voice recording as evidence? I just love those; they’re so dramatic.

this is one part that might not end up aligning with canon but I’m REALLY fond of the Akita FOWL theory. So in this AU, I’m thinking Akita was a really casual member of FOWL all along that recently got an updated agent commission. So there’s even more potential drama there, since Gyro utterly despises Akita now. And a bigger incentive to keep Boyd safe, since Gyro knows FOWL would be more than happy to program Boyd into a mindless attack robot.

in the old AU I was toying with the idea that FOWL didn’t know Fenton’s Gizmoduck until a big reveal, and it was a secret weapon of Team Science’s (but also a point for a lot of arguments, since Fenton desprately wanted to be out there protecting people at the cost of his own safety) but uhh... they definitely know now. In a bid to stop FOWL from taking control of Gizmoduck, Fenton claims the armor is out of commission and sabotages it. So Fenton’s heroics are temporarily halted while Team Science frantically tries to figure out how to keep FOWL from hacking/taking control of a new and improved Gizmosuit.

As for writing... I don’t have anything done, least of all anything for the revamped version of the AU, but I do have this wonderful writing prompt from @advisortotheadvisor that I started back in January 2019, when I was working on the old version of the AU, that I really want to do with the revamped AU. (it just fits so well ahhhh!!!)

Gyro crossed his arms across his chest, scowling to hide his fear. He’d gotten pretty good at it over these past few months.

Watching the halls was basically useless. Fowl was careful to keep Gyro and his team within the same halls, as to not be able to find their way out on their own. And Gyro knew the way to Steelbeak’s office well. He’d lost count of how many times he’d been marched here.

At least he wasn’t cuffed anymore, though he suspected it was only because the agents and their minions knew there was too much at stake for an escape attempt. It had been too long, anyway. That was an amaetur move. Even though he loathed to admit it, Gyro cared too much about the consequences - the people at stake - to even try.

It was just a well-aimed mockery. Like everything short of punishment seemed to be these days under FOWL’s watchful eye and careful thumb. Gyro scowled deeper and crossed his arms tighter and pretended in vain it didn’t bother him.

That was all he could do, really.

Shippy/fluff starters [drake/lp double o duck au]

. “Stranded out in the cold, as the snowed contained to fall piling up around, the completely chilly cold air, sweeping it’s frosted breath into their bones as Darkwing duck and his. Unneeded partner watched out to look for the lowly criminal.” Drake narrated out loud to himself, of course adding more to his little tale   it wasn’t really all that bad but he would be Drake if he wasn’t exaggerating. The snow was more light and gentle, and they weren’t stranded either in truth they could just return to the car and wait but then Drake wouldn’t have the advantage of a good entrance later. Once again he had been paired up with the shush agent jeez you think those yahos didn’t trust Darkwing to handle this case alone. He thought as he was pacing back and forth, blowing air into his hands and rubbing them together to build friction and create some warmth. He need it so bad, the cold was setting into his bones at this point and his teeth were chattering. none stop. Until he smacked into Launchpad.  normally he would pull away but he didn’t he stayed there. “You’re so warm” he let slip out loud. The larger duck had offered his jacket before but Drake declined he didn’t need it, clearly he did now as he relaxed against them. Their warmth chasing away the cold and sweeping into Drake’s bones. Turning his head a bit and letting himself hear their heat beat. Warmth surrounding the mallard, part of him just wanted to be back in their embrace.

Five headcanons for the Duckapprentice AU?

ʟᴇᴛ ᴍᴇ ʏᴇʟʟ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ᴍʏ ᴀᴜs! || Accepting!

Gosalyn and Louie combined are Jim’s worst nightmare; they’re a natural pair of schemers and actors with poker faces to boot. Turn away for one second and they already have a scheme concocted.

Drake and Launchpad talking about the Darkwing Duck TV show; Louie internally being like, “ah, yeah… TV SHOW… that’s… totally not a conspiracy to cover up real life events - “.

With the rise of Gizmoduck (and later Drake Mallard), crime reduced significantly; as a result, Jim’s payroll from SHUSH gradually became less and less because it was getting more difficult to actually find crime to stop.

This is also kinda why Jim is a little salty towards Gizmoduck. Since they work the same neighbourhood, they cross paths more than once. Jim had dibs, suit man. It’s also really awkward when Drake joins the hero fray (”GASP. ANOTHER DARKWING. It’s just like that one DW episode!!”).

One time, Jim got in trouble (and it involved Negaduck; probs gonna draw a comic on this) - and it was down to Gosalyn and Louie to save him. Gosalyn’s alter ego as the Quiverwing Quack came into play, and it was Louie’s first proper tackling of crime (that wasn’t on adrenaline) without Darkwing there to be his training wheels.

Big-Big Brother au

Huey: His the only one of his brothers that was lucky to survive the cursed spell the day of *the fight*,and Huey and his brothers is 11 years old when it happened so when he finally freed his family again he is 17 years old. The first couple of months was really hard for Huey because at the time Huey and the rest of the people around him thinks that he is officially the last Mcduck of his generation, (Scrooges parents and ????? Is of course Mcduck family too) the first couple of weeks Huey hides out in the manor intel someone he trusts finally gets him to a better living place, and Huey begins school soon after that, and then 2 years after the *accident* Huey finds a old dusty book that contains information to lift a curse and he finds the saying *Even a powerful revengeful spirit never goes blind into a battle* and he begins too explore and he finally fully explores Scrooges manor and all its hidden rooms after one year and six months. Huey has a job in a cafe (he lost his interest in science after jumping out of school earlier) and he begins to live in the manor when he came back as 16 years old, Huey duck knows magic and can use a few extra spells he learn when he was researching for a cure for the curse.

Dewey: Dewey got hit by the cursed/corrupted spell when it exploded, and it turned him and the others into stone statues that put them all in a deeep slumber for 6 years, when Dewey gets freed he begins school with his brother Louie after a couple of months, Dewey’s relationship with Huey is very staple after a few weeks because of his curiosity of his now very older big brother, he begins to get closer to Webby to, but him and Louie have very different views of their big brother.

Louie: Louie after getting freed is the most confused of them all, he the first couple of day don’t talk that much (only talked to Donald for comfort) and he wouldn’t believe that Huey is now so much older with the results Louie keeps his distance to Huey will trying to get close to his now twin Brother Dewey and best friend Webby, Louie try’s his best too be around them without irritating them to much, and Dewey doesn’t do anything to push him away, Huey knows that Louie is uncomfortable with him so he too keeps his distance when he feels that Louie is in a bad mood.

Webby: Now loves to question Huey about everything that had happened (even trying to get him to learn her magic, but he always says no) and Webby is more looked after by Mrs. Beakley more than ever the first couple of months, before Huey convinced her that Webby would be more sad if she after so long just gets locked away again, so she finally get to go explore the now older Duckburg short after, she to try’s too find out what happened with Lena, when she and Magica was not on the field with them when they got freed by Huey.

Lena: Lena and her aunt got moved too the S.H.U.S.H base will they where still in their cursed forms, Huey later gets her out and back to Duckburg.

Donald: He finds out fast that he had been greatly missed by alot of old and not so much called friends, but either that he for the most time is very close too his nephews because he feels he owes them for the years they have missed, Scrooge understands Donald’s decisions and tells him that he don’t want him to find a job, but to only be around their home and family.

Scrooge: Scrooge finds out that when he *died* Huey had automatically inherited everything he owns, But Huey tells him that he had contacted Scrooges parents and had given them the right for everything, but they themselves doesn’t change much they just let the economy go on automatically.

Launchpad: he didn’t get hit by the curse, and after knowing Huey was safe and after mourning his best friend Dewey, he moves permanently back to an old friend in the city of St. Canard) but returns when Huey years later needs his help with breaking the curse.

Mrs. Beakley: After she founds out what happened to Webby, she disappeared underground, but Huey founds out years later that she had got back to working with SHUSH, and they have a heavy confrontation... before she comes back the day before Huey frees everyone.

Duckworth: He stays in the manor after Huey left, and he stays around to scare intruders away for years, in till the day Huey moves back in.

Fenton: His actually the one that found Huey right after the battle, and when Fentons Ma’ma finds out what happens she adopts Huey into their little family, and first when Huey turns 16 years he moves out, even if his new family didn’t think he was ready.

Gyro: Stays mostly the same, but when he hear about the accident he begins to get a soft spot for Huey and treats him well when he comes with Fenton to work, (Huey learns Gyro how to best irritate Fenton, and even it does irritate Fenton his just happy that his new little brother is having fun)

Glomgold: He first doesn’t show any reaction after hearing of Scrooges fate, but when he years later finally accomplished his life goal in being the richest duck in the world, for the first time i years I realizes that there’s nothing else to do, and 2 days after the big celebrate of his life goal, he stands in-front of Hueys door, and after a long chat Huey tells him of the location of the statues and he goes to visit Scrooges and lays a couple of expensive flowers by the statues feet..

Mark Beaks: *Still the same guy*

Magica: SHUSH takes her and Lena’s statue to separate heavy guarded vaults deep in the headquarter, but when Huey first wanna test the release spell, he chooses to test it on her, and after it works he leaves her to SHUSH for a couple months before getting the news that she escaped.

Gladstone: He of course with Fethry mourners Donald and Dewey and Louie very very deeply, and Gladstone gets a very closer bound with the rest of his family, he first tried to get Huey to move in with him but Huey thanks no, but he visit him a couple times a month, he moves permanently to Duckburg when Huey is 13 years old, he later gets together with his love of his life (magica) and they settle down in peace.

Fethry: His one of the people that gets hit hardest when he gets the news of what happened to Donald and his nephews, he disappeared for a couple of years before coming back to Duckburg permanently.

Ludwig: Even with the news of Scrooges faith on his shoulders, keeps his head hight and continues to run as director of SHUSH, when he later finds out about 15 year old Hueys powerful magical ability, he asks him to help SHUSH with a couple of magical secret cases.

Jose Carioca and Panchito: when the they found out that their are now the only living Caballeros, they where broken with the thought of they never got to visit Donald on last time, and first years later they find out the Huey is still alive and they rush to Duckburg as fast as they can...its a tearful but happy reunion at last...

The lucky dime: Huey keeps it around his neck for 6 years in tel the day he can finally for fill his promise *to get it back to his great uncle as fast as he could*

The mystery of Della: when Huey wasn’t learning a new useful spell he was searching for more clues about his mother, as he would like to try finishing his and his brothers work.

‘Write You a Song’

Weiss scribbled away in her notebook, tapping her pen against one knee. Periodically, she set her notebook aside and picked up her violin, although it wasn't much of an instrument for building a rhythm. She wished she could play the bass guitar like Blake, or at least the guitar like Ruby. She took her notebook and scribbled some more.

The lyrics flowed from her mind the same as they always had, but without a piano, it was difficult to write a rhythm. Her violin could make a melody well enough, though singing and playing a melody was a bit trying. She put her notebook away as the dorm's door clicked open. She saw her teammate's flowing black hair and sighed in relief.

"Hey, Blake, are you terribly busy?" Weiss asked. Blake's eyes darted toward the white queen. Seeing her in such disarray concerned the black cat.

"Not at the moment. I've got an essay to finish, but I've still got a few days before Oobleck wants it handed in... What can I do for you, Snowdrop?"

"Well, don't laugh at me, but I'm trying to write a song for Ruby." Weiss blushed bright red at the admission. Blake grinned lightly at the white queen, her cat ears wiggling involuntarily.

"I don't see why I would laugh at that. Nearly everything you write in that notebook has something to do with Ruby, and it's cute that you want to write her something. What have you got so far?" Blake sat on the bed with Weiss, careful not to harm her violin or sit on her notebook. Weiss sighed out loud as she pondered that question.

"Part of a melody... and a mountain of lyrics that might not even fit. I really just need a rhythm, but I don't have a keyboard here. Coco's launchpad would be nice to have." The white queen rolled her eyes. Blake chuckled. "What?"

"The launchpad is for making beats, and you don't have the rhythm for that..." The black cat giggled quietly, her cat ears twitching. Weiss inhaled sharply as if to say 'HOW DARE' before realizing that Blake wasn't wrong and laughing out loud at the thought. "So you say you have a melody? Lay it on me, Ice Queen."

Weiss made a face. "Oh, we're gonna start that again?"

"Sorry. You get one free chop at me. Just, not in front of Yang. The puns are bad enough without her calling me 'Meow Mix'!" The two girls shared a laugh at that terrible idea as Weiss took up her violin. She thought for a moment before playing her notes for Blake. Blake pondered over the melody for a moment, taking up the team's collective acoustic guitar.

All four of them used this instrument for writing, although Weiss couldn't play well enough to follow her singing.

Blake strummed a chord to find her key, following Weiss's notes the best she could. "It's a bit tough to follow, but I think I've got it. Let's get on those lyrics." Blake noted as Weiss passed her the notebook. Blake's eyes widened at the sight of the lyrics. "Dust, Weiss. Did you write her a song or an essay?"

"Shush, it's nothing more than you write about Yang."

"Weiss, this is two whole pages! Pyrrha doesn't write this much about Jaune, and she likes him so much it's senseless," Blake remarked. Weiss laughed, knowing Blake was far from wrong.

"She's always got hearts in her eyes around him. He must lay it on her pretty well," Weiss remarked. Blake nearly spat out the tea she'd been sipping. She'd never heard Weiss make such a crack; it was sort of refreshing.

The two of them worked on the lyrics and the tune for most of the evening, as Ruby and Yang were both out on the town. During their working, the two of them traded notepads. Weiss hadn't had any idea that Blake wrote, and she knew that Blake was very guarded when it came to her notebooks. She remembered that one Blake had set fire to last semester.

"Blake, your writings are incredible. I didn't know you wrote lyrics. How come you've never presented them for our music?"

Blake's right ear twitched. "Well, we've always written our music around your lyrics, so I guess I never thought about it. I don't think our music would fit my lyrics, anyway. Ruby and Yang play fast and heavy."

Weiss looked down at the notepad in her lap, scouring Blake's words for a moment more. "These look more like poems, really. You could maybe recite some between songs sometimes?"

"Who knows?" She mused as Weiss turned another page. Blake took notice and her eyes bulged. "Please don't read that one..."

"Why? Hmm, 'Dragon of the Sun'... OH, MY DUST! IS THIS---"

"DON'T YOU DARE!!" The black cat roared, but she knew she was too late. The white queen was already halfway down the page, so there was no turning back now.

"Dust, Blake, have you read this to Yang?"

"Tell. Her. NOTHING! I'm trying to find the right time to present it..." She blushed brightly, Weiss laughing at her. This poem was certainly 'something'. Blake still had yet to stop blushing.

"It's beautiful, Blake. A tad saucy, sure, but if that's how you feel about her... Maybe you should let her know?" Weiss suggested. Blake's ears wiggled.

"She knows I like her, and she's told me she likes me. I just don't know if she knows how much, and I don't want to push anything." Blake sighed. Weiss nodded.

"I guess I could see that. The poem is breathtaking, though, and I think you should show it to her someday."

"I probably will. Maybe then she'll show me something." The black cat smirked. Weiss made a fake gagging sound at that. "Hey, do you want my help with this song or not?"

"Yes! In fact, I need it, Meow Mix." Weiss shot back. Blake rolled her eyes.

"I guess I deserved that. So, let's run through the song again." She strummed the guitar, and Weiss began singing. The two of them tweaked the song here and there as they saw fit, and before too long they thought they might just have something.

Ruby was going to be impressed with it, Weiss was certain.

Day 15: You dressed as a character

Being so far behind, I’m just pumping out whatever I can get onto the page at this point. Prompts be damned!

Also, this prompt is more geared toward visual art, so I’m just writing something that I hope will be good.

Music AU where Team RWBY is a band. RockRWBY, pretty much. Is that still a thing? Whatever, I don’t care. White Rose vibes off this one, and a twinge of Bumbleby. Even though it only really features Weiss and Blake. Go figure.

I’m still trying to catch up. Back to the grind, unless my work shift gets too crazy.

But in the show there is a mini version of the thunderquack that sends Drake messages from shush and feeds from his tower hideout. in this AU could it be his Murkrow that stays at the tower and is the one that delivers the messages to Drake at his suburban home at all hours?

Well, maybe when he’s going by DW, but I wanna say if he gets a message while he’s Drake, then it gets sent by Launchpad’s Chatot.
