prompt~ non-mc reader feeling sad because she feels she lacks the relationship mc has with the lads. requested by anon!
Zayne
Her long, straight brown hair fell in front of her face, and she tucked it behind her ear with slender fingers. Her laughter filled your ears like sticky molasses, and you couldnât wash it out no matter how hard you tried.
In front of her kneeled Zayne, wiping a cut on her knee with a wet tissue and bandaging it, kissing it gently. You watched as he chided her for being careless and getting hurt.
You wished he would scold you like that.
They stood up and walked away, his arm subtly resting around her waist to support her.
She rested her head against his shoulder. She was so brave. She got injured often because of her profession.
You were an accountant. Your last injury was a paper cut.
The wind blew her hair into Zayneâs face, and you watched him brush it away and arrange it neatly on her shoulders with a smile.
They walked away into the distance, and all you could do was watch.
Sylus
âCan you get my back?â Sylus asked, holding out the bottle of sunscreen to MC.
She nodded and began working the cream into his back, massaging his shoulder blades as she went.
Sylus smiled as she used her strength to massage him. âNice arm, kitten.â
You sat next to your sandcastle, patting the wet globs of sand together into rough turrets. It was coming together, sort of.
Sylus crouched down next to you. âHowâs the castle coming along?â
âItâs getting there.â
âDo you want to come surf with us?â
You hesitated. Truthfully, you werenât very adventurous. You were a little nervous to ride the waves.
âCome on, itâll be fun!â MC smiled at you, her surfboard held under her muscular arm.
âUm, no, Iâm okay,â you responded shyly.
âAlright. Have fun building, then.â She waved at you and they both turned, running into the waves. MC squealed as the cool water hit her legs, and Sylus laughed his deep, rich laugh. He splashed her, grinning as she made various high pitched noises in response.
You sat with your sandcastle, smoothing the sides with no zeal at all. Your focus was gone. All you could think about were her hands on his back, his grin as he splashed her, their shared laughter as they ran into the water.
Your thoughts were interrupted by Sylus shouting. âHey! Come in, itâs nice and cool.â
You shook your head.
Rafayel
âWow, your drawings are ass,â Rafayel remarked.
âShut up, loser.â
âLook at __âs drawing. It has such a nice composition.â
You felt pride swell in your chest at his compliment. âThanks, Raf.â
âOf course, cutie. Iâm just telling it as it is. Ms. Bodyguard could learn a thing or two from you.â
âI donât understand how you can get everything so proportional,â MC grumbled.
âHere, let me show you.â He stood up and positioned himself behind her, taking her hand with the pencil in it and mapping out rough lines.
âJust make the general shapes first,â he murmured, hand guiding hers across the paper.
You looked away, trying to focus on your own drawing. You could hear him softly instructing her, and you sort of wished you were a beginner too in that moment.
You mindlessly sketched, and you ended up with a lazy looking cat.
âOh, is it sad?â Rafayel asked peering over your shoulder.
âNo, itâs sleepy.â
âSleepy all the time, just like you,â he said playfully to MC, elbowing her.
âIâm not sleepy all the time! Youâre thinking of Xavier,â she argued back. They continued to bicker as you watched.
Maybe it was a little sad.
Xavier
You rang the bell out of politeness despite knowing Xavierâs door code. You had made some banana muffins, and you wanted him to try them. When there was no answer, you figured you would just go inside and drop them off in the kitchen.
You entered the door code and walked inside quietly. As you passed through the living room, you had to stifle a gasp. Xavier and MC were laying together on the couch, under the blanket.
You immediately looked away, setting the muffins on the counter and moving to tiptoe out of the room. Unfortunately, the rustling woke them up.
â__? Is that you?â Came Xavierâs groggy voice.
âNo- yes! Um, I just came in to drop off some muffins. Iâm leaving, donât worry!â
Xavier sat up, the blanket falling off his shoulders and pooling around his bare chest.
Your eyes widened and you turned around.
âHey, __. Where are you going?â MC was off the couch (wearing clothes, thankfully) walking towards you.
âYeah, sorry about that. We just got back from training and crashed. We were both exhausted,â Xavier said.
Oh. They were sleeping.
âSorry for waking you guys.â
âDonât worry about it. Want to nap with us?â
You paused. âIâm good, donât worry. Iâll just be going now.â With that, you awkwardly put your shoes back on and left the house. The image of them snuggling under the blanket was cemented to your brain.
That night, you slept hugging a pillow.

Do you have any advice or tips with drawing? Any will help me I hope you have a good day
I think it would help to analyze references in the beginning, to build up a visual library

I was taught at university to first see the general masses, the silhouette. This method is called âgeneral to particularâ. And due to this stage, it is much easier for you to perceive the image, the composition as a whole, rather than running straight away to draw eyes, hands or other details
Starting with a silhouette also helps to create character designs in the future âď¸

Then you can already outline the construction, the middle forms. Again without small details, but you can leave a hint of them with the help of auxiliary lines.
I don't really work with tone so much at this stage, I just showed you how you can even use it to outline light shading (also common masses)

It also helps to do chopped, rough construction with a couple lines. I would generally advise practicing confidence in hand movements and understanding of general shapes. How clean your sketches are will help you navigate more easily in the future. And general shapes affect mostly how you can stylize body parts, how you understand their construction based on simple geometric shapes. It's a mistake to think that working with a reference is a one-to-one repetition of the original image. Artists use some kind of distortion of proportions, changing details or a little pose based on experience to make a character or work more dynamic

And then you can go into detail đ

I mean, already as in my experience I say that repeating or re-learning the base, which is lines, shapes, improves your drawing skill.
Because the faster you get through sketches, the faster you can move on to other stages of drawing, and still make fewer fundamental mistakes
And if you want to study anatomy, plastic anatomy would be the way to go for artists. I worked up my anatomy by looking at books and tutorials from the authors belowotome â


The authors of this book post tutorials using 3D models on Pinterest and ArtStation
I realized for myself that I am not a classical artist, that learning from the works and books of old academic masters is boring and not interesting to me. My approach is to analyze not only nature, but also 3d models. Analysis of 3d models helps with understanding of shapes in space, light shading and âwhat are occlusionsâ for game rendering â

Love Behind The Lyrics
Pairing: Han Jisung x Reader

Summary: Jisung is surprised to find out that you used to write poetry while in school and heâs even more surprised when he finds out that it was actually really good and inspiring. When he asks you to read your new work after you confessed that you still wrote poetry youâre a little apprehensive. But after he forgets his lyric book at your apartment you find an opportunity to share with him. Will he like it still or prefer your older work?
Jagi: Sweetheart, Pabo: Fool
It was a lazy weekend for you as you rummaged through a box from your closet that you had meant to go through ages ago. Han laid out on your couch lazily scrolling through his phone before he turned his head to look over at what you were doing. You didnât hear him get closer to you as you were too focused on the contents of the box, but when he reached around you to grab the tattered black and white composition notebook you jumped nearly out of your skin making him laugh delightedly at scaring you.
âSorry! Sorry! I didnât mean to scare you. But whatâs all this?â He asked as his hands landed on the notebook and pulled it out making you try and grab it from him in a slight panic.
âOld school stuff.â You huffed out quickly before turning and trying to wrestle the notebook from his hands. âGive it back.â You scolded him softly as your hands also grabbed onto the notebook and he looked up at you with shocked eyes before looking back down at the notebook. It was a regular black and white composition notebook that had a bunch of peeling stickers stuck all over it in a chaotic mess and written in your sloppy handwriting from your school days was the words Creative Writing.
âBut I let you see my lyric book.â He whines out with a cute pout on his face and you roll your eyes at him.
âThatâs different Ji. Youâre a lyrical genius. This is just an old notebook I had when I was in school.â You counter and he pouts even more as his hands grip the notebook even tighter. You sigh loudly knowing that the man wonât give up on wanting to see what you had written back then so instead of trying to fight him some more you just let the notebook go. Jisung happily cradled the notebook against his chest as he stared at you with eager eyes. âJust keep your opinions to yourself. All of that was written a long time ago.â You told him sternly and he quickly nodded his head as a smile began to grow on his face. You sighed again before turning back to the box and going through the rest of the items inside of it.
After that you nearly forgot about the notebook as you continued to just hang out with Jisung until dinner time when you got a text from Minho asking if Jisung was going to be eating with you or if he would be coming back to their apartment. You looked back at Jisung to find him avidly reading your notebook flipping the pages quietly, you smiled softly as you watched his eyes dart across the pages quickly while his eyebrows slightly furrowed before relaxing as a smile slipped onto his face.
âMinho wants to know if youâre eating with me tonight or him?â You asked teasingly and Jisung jerked in his spot as he looked up at you with wide eyes being scared out of his intense reading. âSorry, I didnât mean to scare you.â You tease him and he blushes softly at you before grinning widely at you.
âIâll eat with you, if thatâs alright?â He asks while his eyes round and widen slightly at you hopefully. You smile at him before nodding your head and turning back to your phone to type out a response to Minho letting him know. âDo you think we can talk about your poetry over dinner?â Jisung asked softly as he leaned over towards you resting his head on your shoulder.
âAh Jisung, that was so long ago itâs a little embarrassing how rough my writing was back then.â You try to dismiss but Jisung quickly slides his arms over your shoulders still holding the notebook in his hands.
âNo, but this poem here. I loved it! Itâs so hauntingly beautiful. The way you used the words to draw the eye down the poem.â He begins to ramble and you smile as your eyes rake over the poem quickly already knowing which one he was talking about.
âThat was my emo phase.â You tell him smiling nostalgically. âI should try and write like that again. That was a fun experimenting time.â You mused softly and Jisung looks at you with wide eyes.
âYou still write?â He asked in awe and you nodded your head as you focused on your notebook and began turning the pages until you came to one of your favorite poems that you had written in your last year of school.Â
âThis one is my favorite.â You say softly and tap the page gently.
âCan I see your writings now?â He asks suddenly and you turn to look at him with a furrowed eyebrow. âI mean, I love your old writing and Iâd love to see how much your writing has changed till now.â He said softly, sounding hopeful. You took the notebook from him gently and placed it back into the box of old school stuff at your side before patting his hands softly.
âMaybe another day Ji. Letâs order dinner. I'm getting hungry.â You tell him softly and he watches you silently as you get up from the ground.

A week later after youâre hanging out with Jisung at your apartment and heâs already left to head back to his apartment to spend some time with Minho you notice that heâs left his lyric book on your coffee table and smile softly while shaking your head. The poor guy would lose everything if his friends werenât always looking out for him. You grab your phone and send him a quick text to let him know that heâd left his lyric book at your apartment.
Donât panic, but your lyric book is here at my apartment. I'll drop it off at the studio tomorrow after I get out of work. When Jisung sent you a text back thanking you and that heâll make sure that the staff know to let you into the studio tomorrow you put the book out of your mind until later on that night when you sat down to do some creative writing of your own. As you sat at your desk your eyes kept wandering over to his lyric book and soon you found yourself quickly writing a little poem about using lyrics to profess his love to his lover.
When you were finished you smiled proudly at yourself for getting out such a pretty poem. You traced your fingers along the scribbled words in your notebook before an idea formed in your mind, you pulled out a piece of stationery and quickly wrote out your poem in pretty flowing handwriting before tearing a strip off the side of the paper making it look like you had ripped the page out of a book before slipping it into Jisungâs lyric book towards the front of the book. With that done you smiled softly to yourself wondering if heâd be surprised by your little gift.,

The next day Jisung is anxiously sitting in the studio with Chan and Changbin as they all work on the current song that they had been creating. His leg bounces as he idly doodles on a page of scrap paper while Changbin and Chan argue about a part in the song that they canât come to an agreement about.
Just then there is a knock at the studio door and Jisung is quickly rising from his chair to answer it knowing that it would be you with dinner and his lyric book. When he opens the door and finds you standing there he feels his anxiety start to lessen slightly. He grabs ahold of you and drags you into a tight hug that you chuckle about before hugging him back.
âHey Ji.â You greet him happily before handing one of the bags of food to him to help you bring it all in for everyone. He helps you bring in the food and begins to hand it out to the others. When he turns back to hand you your container of food he smiles softly as he finds you holding out his lyric book to him. âSwap?â You ask with a wide smile on your face and he nods his head as he takes his book from you while handing you the container of food.
Soon everyone is eating and Jisung sits next to you on the couch as he eats and leans into your side taking comfort from you as everyone eats in silence. Jisung can see the looks that Chan and Changbin are shooting the two of you while Jeongin, who had been in the recording booth, sits happily on your other side eating his own food. Jisung chooses to ignore the looks from Chan and Changbin as he continues to eat with you at his side.. He knows theyâll just tease him for being close to you and for once he doesnât want to deal with it, especially with you right next to him.
When you finish your food and spend a few moments with all of them you stand from your seat and Jisung looks up at you worriedly. He knows that youâre about to tell them that you have to leave when you smile softly down at him and he frowns at that knowledge.
âWhy do you have to go so soon?â He whines as his lips pout out hoping that thatâll sway you to stay longer but you shake your head at him with a fond smile. You reach out and rustle his hair while he tries to swat your hand away.
âIâve got an early meeting tomorrow morning. I canât stay out late tonight.â You tell him regretfully and he sighs dramatically while flopping back on the couch causing you to chuckle at his antics. âIâll make it up to you. Promise.â You coo at him softly before grabbing your things and saying goodbye to everyone. He walks you to the door and hugs you tightly before you get to leave.
âText me when you get home so I know.â He grumbles out and you smile at him before nodding your head.
âI will, see you.â You say softly to him before hugging him once more and then turning to leave. When Jisung walks back to his chair Chan and Changbin are eyeing him with soft smirks on their faces but he ignores them once again as they pick up where they had stopped working. Sighing softly, Jisung idly flips through his lyric book before something light blue catches his eyes, furrowing his eyebrows he gently pulls the page of stationery out of his book. When his eyes rake over the poem written on the page he feels his heart stutter in his chest, the words are beautiful arranged and seem to inspire and invoke a feeling within him that he canât quite contain as he grabs a pen and flips his book to the last page and begins to write out lyrics telling a. story about a lovesick musician.

The next time Jisung is in the studio with Chan and Changbin heâs pacing from side to side of the studio causing the two older men to grumble and groan at him as he makes his laps. He knows he canât help his anxiety, heâs been âforgettingâ his lyric book at your apartment every time heâs over since the first time you snuck a poem into his book. And after a month of receiving poems from you he finally feels as if heâs close to finishing the song that heâs been working on.
âJi, would you relax man?!â Chan calls out finally after Jisung continued on his path across the studio. âJust sit down!â He snaps agitatedly and Jisung sighs loudly before sitting on the edge of the couch. You had texted him that you wouldnât be able to see him tonight since you had a team dinner with your coworkers but you would be able to drop off his lyric book with the staff for him on your way to the dinner. He hadnât been too happy about not seeing you but knowing that he had plans with you tomorrow for brunch and to spend the day together he would just have to accept it.
The door to the studio opened and Jisung was instantly on his feet as a staff member came in holding his lyric book. Jisung bowed his head at the staff member before nearly ripping it out of their hands and then taking a seat in his chair once again. He eagerly begins searching through his lyric book and both Chan and Changbin watch him worriedly. When he finds the light blue page tucked away in the very back of his book he cries out loudly with joy making Chan nearly fall out of his chair in fright.
âAlright, now tell us what the hell is going on?!â Chan snaps worriedly and Jisung quickly looks up from the page after hurriedly reading the poem you had left him. He beams happily at his hyungs before he presents the page proudly to them. Changbin gently takes the page and reads the poem before tilting his head in confusion as he hands the page to Chan to read. âIs this from your Jagi?â Chan asks suddenly and Jisung nods his head proudly making Changbin smirk softly.
âShe used to write creatively in school and one weekend when I was hanging out with her she let me read her old school notebook where she kept all her writings. Sheâs really good and the poems she creates are my favorite out of all her writings. When I told her that she confessed that she still writes but wouldnât show me her newer work. Well I forgot my lyric book at her apartment that day and she snuck a new poem into it before returning it to me.â Jisung explained as he flipped through his notebook to the cover where he had stored all the other poems in the front flap and showed Chan and Changbin all the poems that she had left him.
âSo sheâs been writing you poems about a musician who confesses his love to his lover in his lyrics?â Chan asks softly as he looks over at Jisung who blushes brightly at the implication of his words.
âAnd let me guess youâve been writing a song to answer her poems?â Changbin asks teasingly, causing Jisung to blush even brighter at his teasing words. âOh my god, you have!â Changbin shouts excitedly as he begins to clap his hands happily. âIs it almost done?â He asks eagerly and Jisung canât stop the smile that blooms on his face.
âAlmost. I was waiting for this last poem to decide on how Iâd like to finish it.â Jisung confesses and Chan smiles proudly at him. âI love her poems because they make me feel special and warm inside.â Jisung admits softly and Chan nods his head knowingly as he hands the poems back to Jisung.
âThatâs because you love her pabo.â Changbin says knowingly and Jisung blushes brightly once more. âYou should proudly show her the song when you finish it.â He tells Jisung who smiles softly down at his lyric book that holds a song that he was immensely proud of and was hopeful that youâd love it as much as he loved your poems.
âWhen itâs finished I will.â Jisung says resolutely and Chan beams at him while Changbin shouts with joy causing everyone to laugh.

hey can you talk about I WONâT LET YOU GO HOME from ISAT and how you went about making it? It is so good. me and friends really like it. thank you in advance if so! the game is so good and your soundtrack has played a key role in making it literally life changing.

Thank you SO MUCH for the kind words.
Firstly, I have to give credit to InsertDisc5 who gave incredible direction and has been to date one of the best people I've worked with.
So let's start from the beginning: We establish a specific instrumental tone with the pseudo-chiptune synth we've heard a lot, especially in the title theme. This was created using NI Massive, which was one of the most heavily used synths in the OST. We're doing kind of a basic heavy metal riff here, but making it chiptune-y.
Next we fade in for the first and only time in the soundtrack a SNES strings pad to fill out the chord structure and provide additional melodic content.
Then of course for our more intense moments we roll out Toontrack Superior Drummer 2 + Metal Foundry, featuring the amazing drumming styles of the one and only Sandra Baker. I think she went absolutely ham to contrast with how simple the first section is.
So next we hit our stride and establish what the piece is really saying. The drums simplify a bit to leave room for the melody, and then we hit a "drop" of sorts into the next section.
Now we're rocking to a reprise of the title theme in a more major tone, but it's feeling less hopeful and more like a longing attachment to memories of the past.
In the second half of the title theme we run a reprise of the death/loss theme as a counter-melody while also introducing a new little motif stab underneath. We hear it in the strings as sort of the response to a call that hasn't actually been made, and then it's repeated in the bass, and finally the whole band states it all at once as we move into the next section.
Again we're stating the title theme, but this time in a different mode with a gliding, reverby, monophonic lead that feels like it's floating. Each phrase keeps rising in intensity, desperately reaching for that memory.
Finally after all of that wildly changing energy and anxiety ramping up we hit a breakdown featuring probably some of the best orchestral composition I've managed thus far (not to toot my own horn). I was really shooting for "pained" as the sound of this section. Half-time feel drums where we're so incredibly out of energy, but no! The drums pick up into double-time as we desperately reach out for comfort!
I gotta say Sandra went absolutely wild with the blastbeat snare while still doing a half-time feel. Like it feels like there's so much tension even while we're winding down to the end of the piece, floating in a place where we keep moving towards hope but always resolving on the minor. We have a lot of movement here through different keys and modes that continually give us a feeling of moving forward while always returning to the feeling of loss.
Finally, for the album version, we cap the ending with a slow restatement of the beginning of the piece for piano and violin (I don't remember the specific piano I used here but it wasn't the Spitfire Labs muted piano for once, and the violin is from Spitfire's Sacconi Quartet).
As far as an in-depth musical analysis goes, I'd have to open the session again to get really specific with what I did on a theory level because it's been like a year or more since I wrote it, and my computer's primary hard drive died (luckily I have all my sessions on a different drive), so I'm spending the weekend reinstalling everything.
I think the crux of this piece in particular is that, while there is new melodic content that explains the emotional context of the scene, we still rely on the recontextualization of leitmotifs for added effect. I'm not sure if it makes me lazy or a genius, but it's something I leaned into heavily.
It's likeâŚ
Step 1: Someone is crying. Their friend tries to cheer them up. Play something kinda sad and a little bittersweet.
Step 2: Play that same melody in a different situation but slightly different to be totally appropriate while also calling back to the original event.
Step 3: Make it into a major-key power metal song because you're winning with the power of your friends caring about your feelings.
Humans are pattern-recognition machines. It works with motifs, it works with specific instrumentation, it works with pretty much anything. Make an aesthetic choice about your instrumentation, utilize it, and punch people in the feels.
As soon as the studio is back up and running I'll see if I can't add on to this with an actual theory analysis, and meanwhile I'm gearing up to start doing classes on mixing and sound design, so look out for that as well!

I did it! It turned out delicious and I managed to get really good pictures with my Leona merch, the meat cake and suculenta, Iâm so happy that it all went well! While I was singing happy birthday to him I could clearly hear Leonaâs voice in my head complaining that Iâm too loud haha. The Leonaâs birthday saga comes to an end! (It had enough plot to become a twisted event), and his new card looks stunning, I had a heart attack

Yaaay, glad it went well! Iâm sure he at least appreciated the meat (he had to sit through the singing before he could dig in www).

And now, letâs talk about the Groovy!
I already shared my general thoughts on his Platinum Jacket Groovy in this post, but I can expand! Itâs the kind of illustration I think Leona fans would like b-but I wouldnât know, because Iâm NOT one đ¤. Heâs giving off a very confident air, with his arms crossed accentuating his slim waist and the positioning of his hair and tail implying he is aggressively turning as heâs sneering at his target. It has this⌠indescribable elegance to it. There is no big sweeping, grand movement or flashy pose. Just a natural lazy charm to how he holds himself, a subtlety thatâs difficult to replicate.
I think the best part is definitely his eyes. They always have this glow-in-the-dark quality about them that really shines when paired with dim lighting like what is shown in the museum. Youâll notice that the eyes also are not entirely symmetrical; the right is slightly more narrowed and that adds to his unhinged look.
⌠And Iâm sure some of yâall are also appreciating the teeth (how Trey of you). Itâs rare to see Leona smile this wide in cards. Heâs usually smirking and not baring his fangs like he is here. In that sense, this is a novel look for him.
The composition implies Leona is directing his ire at the happy family in the painting, but my brain went somewhere completely different and thought he was looking at someone on the floor????? Like, at his feet???? Like bowing or kneeling to him, begging for mercy or something đ SORRy, IDk WHY i DEFAuLTED TO THATâŚ
But yeah!! Good food for Leona stans ^^

Abgerny character design in my AU, Vocals category [Final]

Alright, after a long hiatus, I finally drew the last section that everyone has been waiting for, "Vocals"! This is the last part where I reveal the designs of all the Abgerny characters in my AU. After that, I started writing their bios in my AU through Vurr's perspective, describing how she feels about each of them and her experiences spending time with them directly. (In my AU, Vurr has interacted with all the Abgerny characters, resulting in the VR world, all of them have clothes because it reflects Vurr's memories directly.)
As you can see, most of the Vocals have a tan skin tone, which is noticeably different from the other characters who have light skin. The reason? I just wanted to change it because too many Abgerny characters I designed have light skin and I'm tired of seeing that skin tone. Also, tan skin isn't bad for Juan and Benson, and Bearrito and Juana actually fit them well in my opinion since that skin tone is quite common among Hispanic and Latino people. (If you don't like it, that's up to you because I will never change their skin color in my AU anyway lol.)
Why are there two Juans? And who is the one named "Juana"? For those who follow my work on Reddit and Twitter, you probably already know the reason why I draw two Juans in my AU. But for those who don't know, let me explain briefly. (For those who already know and are too lazy to read it again, you can scroll down to read the topic about the origin of the scientific name and classification for Rainbow Flower in my AU.)
The reason I draw two Juans is simple: "I thought Juan was a "guy" because of her masculine name and appearance. And I created this AU long before the latest Abgerny update that confirmed Juan was a "girl" in Horror Mode. Also, I used he/him pronouns for Juan throughout the story and portrayed Juan as a "man" for over 10 chapters with no hint of being a "girl" whatsoever. So it's hard to go back and fix it. To cut the problem in my style, I decided to add "Juana" which represents Juan's canon gender but as Juan's older twin sister instead so that some of you guys won't feel uncomfortable too much from seeing Juan being portrayed as a man instead of a woman in my AU." (Juana is Juan's female counterpart in Spanish.)
So if you're talking about Juan in my AU, you have to specify which Juan it is because if you only specify "Juan", I'll only think of my male version of Juan. If you want a female or canon Juan, you have to specify like "Juana" or "Juan (canon)" because I like it that way. (I know this may sound annoying to some because Juan's canon gender is "female" and not male, but this is my AU and the story and character designs are my own creation (I'm not claiming that these Abgerny characters are mine, I'm just trying to say that the design in my AU are "mine" tho). If you don't like these little rules that I created in my AU, that's fine because I'm not forcing you to like them. Just respect my decision and rules, and don't harassed me for some stupid reason like this.)
Okay, the next question is where the scientific name of Rainbow Flower comes from. Let me explain it thoroughly.
Scientific Name for Rainbow Flower "Florigenius chromatica".
Breakdown of the name:
"Florigenius" â A fusion of Flora (Latin for flower) and Ingenius (Latin for intelligent/genius), representing its sentience.
"Chromatica" â Derived from Chroma (Greek for color), emphasizing its rainbow-colored petals and abilities.
So, "Florigenius chromatica" means "Brilliant, Colorful Flower".

Kingdom: Plantae (Plants â because it's still fundamentally a flowering plant)
Phylum: Angiospermae (Flowering plants â since it has petals and reproductive structures)
Class: Eudicots (Most flowering plants with broad leaves, like sunflowers and roses)
Order: Asterales (Includes daisies, sunflowers, and other composite flowersâRainbow Flower has a similar petal structure)
Family: Florigeniaceae (A new, fictional plant family for genetically modified, sentient flora.)

This is the part that took me the most time while drawing Vocals, because I was researching botany and connecting scientific facts to each other until my brain was about to explode. And most importantly, it wasn't that important to the story but I still took it too seriously. I think I'll become a botanist by now, damn it. I'm going crazy with my life. (âĽďšâĽ)
Okay, enough of the science headaches, let's get to the questions about Benson and Bearrito.
You're probably wondering why Bearrito is so... umm, radical in my AU? The answer is that I changed Bearrito's personality a little bit, in that Bearrito is a little bit psychotic and has a "twisted sense of humor". So even though Bearrito is a good joker, there are times when his jokes are so twisted that it makes many people feel uncomfortable when listening to them. Most of them are violent towards the offenders (because he also has a twisted sense of justice). For example, he would say that peeling off the skin of a drug dealer and sticking it on the wall in the prison to surprise the drug dealer would be very "funny" because they would exclaim the forbidden words in fear and it would offend the prisoners of that nationality and get beaten up.
In addition, Bearrito was born from Benson's defense mechanism that Benson experienced when he was a child (Dissociative identity disorder (DID) go brrr-). So Bearrito would be like Benson's guardian who always tried to make Benson happy with his jokes and protected him from danger, even though his protection went too far and made Benson feel very uncomfortable, especially when he used Benson's own body to commit cruel acts while Benson could only watch from the inside of his mind. (But they are still close, just Benson strongly distrust Bearrito when Bearrito offers to "help" him on something because Bearrito always causes trouble whenever Bearrito takes over Benson's body.)
And lastly, about William
Why is William's name called "W.I.L.L.I.A.M."? Well, that's just an abbreviation for William AI in my AU (he's an AI in my AU, and he also have true form too. But I won't revealed his design as that was the most important part in the story). As for William AI's full name? That's a secret and I won't give you any hints lol. Guess for yourself (which I doubt you'll get right because it's a long and hard name to guess). Who's sitting in the chair in front of William? That's William's creator, that's all you need to know for now, I won't tell you their name lol
But for those who are interested in seeing William's full body on screen... see below.
(Based on reindeer that change their fur color to white during the winter.)
I know some people will wonder why William's design in VR world in my AU is different from William's design in VR worlds that are more commonly seen in Abgerny fandom like this.
First of all, this design is "not the canon design of William in VR mode". Anyone who played the original Abgerny will know that this design does not appear in the game at all, only the Wendigo version of William appears. So, William's VR design can be any design you want him to be, and I prefer something I design myself. Feel free to use William's VR design in my AU for other entertainment purposes, just make sure to give me credit as the creator of his design.

It kind of gives me life that JD thinks heâs bad at writing music or isnât talented at it despite the fact that he wrote every fucking song that brozone ever produced and theyâre were the most famous most popular pop band ever they were the micheal Jacksonâs of their universe my guy every song you ever wrote topped the charts. JD is probably the most talented songwriters alive right now at least in regards to pop music and he thinks of himself as untalented. JD is the kind of artist and perfectionist who always sees his work as mediocre. Like my guy Floydâs songs are probably really good but it is much easier to write good songs that are designed for one artist than it is to write a song for a boyband that shows off each individual members talent and also is in everyoneâs range despite half the group being prepubescent and the other half being post voice crack. My dude itâs not normal for boy bands to write there own music at all I canât think of a single boy or girl group that didnât have a professional writing all there songs. I like the idea that within the music industry JD is considered like the picasso of songwriting and music composition for figuring out how to make the Brozone harmonies sound so good. like he is notorious and doesnât even know it.
This could just be a me theory but I always thought that each of the bros worked so well as a band because they each were like exceptionally stupidly talented in different aspects of preforming like Floyd is the vocal powerhouse, clay is the best dancer, Bruce is the best at crowd work, JD is the music composition guy/songwriter and Branch is good at instruments/ has the vocal range.

Yesss, JD is so so talented but he canât see that himself. Despite the larger than life persona he adopted, heâs always felt unworthy of genuine praise because, well, anyone could do that too right? (He was wrong)
Yess, they worked well because they all played on their different talents, and JD knew this and incorporated it, though as time passed he enforced more rigid roles for each of them, because of how well the fans responded. It was also subconsciously easier to manage them within those expectations. His talents will be explored more as the story progresses, but as a majority is through JDâs personal lens, and Branch who was too young, itâs not been touched on, but he was a very talented song writer (though lyrically not so much, as pressure to make more songs was added he got lazy with some of it, hence the similar sounding song lyrics and names, which will be a bit of a running joke).

Would you mind explaining the last drawing you did for the Mariana post? Was that slime holding the gun?

Yeah so, i have a little headcanon that mariana has super strength, not in a sense that he can hit hard but more like "he destroys everything he touches". Unless he wears his gloves ofc.
I drew mariana holding flippa with his gloves on, and then wanted to show what would happen if he took the gloves off. Something like "i want to hold my daughter with my hands and not through gloves at least once in my life".
It didn't exactly work out as i wanted it to because in the drawing mariana isn't touching flippa, he only stretches out his arm to do it. Which looked fine by itself but to me it felt like something was missing, like the drawing was lacking impact that i wanted it to have. Mariana is stretching out his arm and he's dark and spooky but ultimately nothing really happens in the picture, it lacks context.
So, i decided to add slime putting a gun to mariana's head. Sort of as if he saw that mariana was about to kill their daughter and decided to stop him with the only way he knew how. (aka by threatening to shoot mariana instead of grabbing his hand or something, idk. very healthy 10/10) So now it doesn't exactly look like mariana is moving forward, but more like he stopped in the middle of it because he's being threatened.
(Now that im looking at it, it would've been better if i made the canvas bigger and drew the rest of slime's silhouette, both to give some context in who's holding the gun and to make the composition more dramatic, because rn its just a random hand dissappearing into nowhere. But its whatever, back when i was drawing it adding slime was a last second decision so i didn't really think about it, and now i obviously wont go and fix it because im lazy and its not so much about fixing the mistake as it is about learning from it.)
(Also in addition to the one punch man headcanon: Slime can't be one-punched because he's a literal slime, its like punching water and wanting something to happen)

I donât want to change, but I want to change my attitude towards my creativity
And Iâm already doing quite well with this! I want to talk to myself and with you, because over the past couple of months, my mental state has improved a bit.
Let me start from afar. Iâve been posting my drawings since I was 11 years old. Over this huge stretch of time, Iâve made many friends, played a lot of games, drew for fun, learned from my mistakes, but Iâve also lost many people, started to criticize myself terribly, adapted to the tastes of others, and eventually burned out. Itâs been a tough experience.
At first, I was upset. Right now, I have a job that takes up 90% of my time. Because of that, my creativity and physical strength have suffered a lot. Iâm a weak and lazy person, and all I want to do in life is draw.
Last year was very important for me. I went through a lot of stress, both good and bad, but it helped me to love my drawings again for the first time in a long time. I draw what and how I want, and I donât think about anatomical mistakes, composition errors, and such things. I just WANT to draw. I donât want to criticize myself, I donât want to suffocate myself, or scold myself for mistakes, because Iâm tired. Iâm so glad to be rid of the art school that drove me to tears. Iâm so happy I donât have to keep looking at the stars in the sky. The art of accepting my drawings as they are means a lot to me.

Today I decided to print a comic that means a lot to me. And omg how beautiful it is. Itâs such a pleasure to see my work in person!
I started seeing a psychologist because I could no longer stand myself. I used to be very skeptical about psychological treatment, but honestly, I truly gave up. I realize my problems, I see my defensive reactions, but I have neither the strength nor the ideas on how to deal with them. I feel lonely. No one lives with me, not even a pet. If it werenât for my friends, my mental state would be much worse.
And Iâm still haunted by people who stopped talking to me last year. People I loved and still love. And my first reaction is to delete all the content I made for them. Iâve already deleted some content that involved Otto, but now I forbid myself to delete certain works, despite my desire. No matter how much Iâve started to love my drawings, I still devalue them just like I devalue myself.
Iâm a closed-off person. I donât know how to communicate. Iâm shy around people. But Iâve started the path to recovery, and thatâs already something. I realize Iâll never become a famous artist, because I canât make a living from my creativity. Maybe one day, but thatâs not my goal right now. Rare commissions wonât feed me.
Thank you for every comment on my drawing, I love and appreciate you all! I care less now about how much attention my work gets â I just want to draw for myself and share with you. Itâs so much easier for me to post my drawings now, after all these years.

Notes on Ian Leslieâs John & Paul: a Love Story in Songs.
#3: Perspiring Geniuses
One of the things that Ian Leslie does best in John & Paul is explode myths about the Beatles' creative process. âThe origin story of âYesterdayâ is often told as an example of divine inspiration," he writes, "because it came to McCartney in a dream. But it is also an example of what the science writer Steven Johnson calls a âslow hunchâ: an idea that takes its time to ripen and requires a lot of work to realise.â (p. 122)
A maxim commonly attributed to Thomas Edison makes the same point: genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. The extent to which this applied to Lennon-McCartney songwriting is important to consider if we want to understand just how they did what they did. I appreciate that revealing a magician's secrets destroys the appeal of illusion, but we're not talking about tricks that anyone can learn how to do; we're talking about how two men created some of the greatest songs of all time, not just better than those of their peers, but easily better, better by far. If their process involved chipping away at lyrics and chord progressions, trying out different arrangements and seeing what songs sounded like if they began with the chorus and jettisoned the middle eight, I want to know about it. I'm fascinated by this stuff, and I'll probably end up revering Lennon and McCartney more for their dedication to their craft.
Both Lennon and McCartney have been guilty of obfuscating and oversimplifying their composition processes, perpetuating the belief that even their most inspired songs took as much time and effort to write as they do to hear ("fiddle around in C for a while and hey, presto, you've written 'Let it Be'!). To be honest, I wish they wouldn't. If you believe that little thought or energy went into their work, it's easier to dismiss them as savants with a lot of luck and little between the ears save catchy tunes. Paul McCartney's reputation, at least, has suffered from this. Leslieâs careful consideration of how iterative and painstaking his creativity actually was demonstrates that moments of great inspiration still require a sustained perspiration that should be acknowledged and admired.
Everyone knows that âYesterdayâ was the only song that Paul ever dreamed, but not many know how long he spent toying with the tune, playing it to anyone who'd listen, studying their reactions, asking for their thoughts, subbing in dummy lyrics about scrambled eggs before the rights words to match his tune's melancholy mood slowly emerged. 'Yesterday' is a prime example of where music and lyrics cohere as inseparable sides of the same artistic coin. I can't hear the tune without thinking of the words, and I can't read the words without hearing the tune. Their brilliance testifies to McCartney's formidable talent, but they should impress their listener as evidence of creative muscles that had grown harder, faster, better and stronger through use, and not through sitting and waiting for the muse to strike. 'Yesterday' is so perfect that it sounds effortless, a low-hanging fruit that McCartney plucked with two idle fingers one lazy Sunday afternoon. It's the very appearance of effortlessness, though, that should tip us off about the considerable effort it took to achieve this effect.
Leslie is also bang to rights in identifying the same slow gestation and dogged pursuit of perfection as qualities vital to John Lennonâs creative process, however much he would vaunt certain songs as the children of immaculate creative conception. A case in point is âStrawberry Fields Foreverâ, clearly one of his most distinctive and ground-breaking works: âLennon has a reputation for being a visionary artist and what we expect of a visionary is that their ideas arrive fully formed, thunderbolts from the blue. âStrawberry Fields Foreverâ began as an odd-shaped pebble that Lennon rubbed away at patiently until it began to glint.â (p. 180) Anyone who's listened to the series of fragments that were combined, separated and re-combined over the last months of 1966 until they became the song we all know and love will agree that this is true.
Lennon and McCartney liked to give the impression that songs flowed from their guitar strings like the Mersey flows through Liverpool; it perpetuates an appealing Romantic myth of genius. The truth was at once more laboured and more accomplished than this myth. Indeed, it is their sustained creative concentration and their unerring ability to separate the wheat from the chaff that we should admire most about the Lennon-McCartney partnership.

genshin typography stuff. really long
when genshin had birthday web events for characters apparently they'd put an announcement on miyoushe, which from what I gather is chinese hoyolab. the point is the announcement banners actually have interesting typography choices? I wouldn't say graphic design is their passion but at least they put some modicum of thought into it. also they stopped doing customized banners after 2022 for whatever godforsaken reason and im like bruh. bring it back cmon don't be lazy!
edit: oh also if something similar to this is on twitter and in english that's very cool but I actually hate navigating that site. do not appreciate finding things on a page with infinite scroll and a lot more posts
anyways, some interesting things:
2021 xingqiu and 2022 yanfei have the same font, while 2021 yanfei's is in the typeface of her (and zhongli's) burst. other announcements probably also share fonts (or use the standard hoyo serif font) but I've only noticed these two. edit: pretty sure layla/tighnari/dori all have the same one, and so do kaeya/sucrose
2021 chongyun's text is curved like the bagua symbols which is v cute. bonus points for incorporating his chonghua sword into the 2nd character
gorou's font is so interesting..... it's very calligraphy but more connected and more like actual calligraphy than the other calligraphy fonts they use.... anyways idk I just didn't expect this vibe from him so it's neat. the fish scale background is patternmaxxing so true
sayu's is cute... standard chinese cartoon font, and the paper textures are cool. reminds me a bit of that travel frog game and origami
in the same vein klee's is cute!! I really thought they'd make her font kiddy but it's not super obvious imo? maybe I'm predisposed to liking red because I feel like less is going on in this.
barbara's font being blackletter-y was kinda surprising? it fits though. i adore the clef symbol they added (the border looks like a photo frame? concert ticket? a nice touch)
adding onto 1.0 mond 4* banners, 2021 razor's goes surprisingly hard. ughhhhh the font, color choices, and the way his claymore splits the whole card in two, all of it is so pleasing to my eyes (his 2022 banner is not as good smh)
kazuha's is predictably a published book serif font but it fucks SO hard oh my god. I love this one. his 2021 announcement is also ok ig
2022 noelles is also really, really nice no notes. it's just very elegant and has good art (I miss the times when announcement portrait/drip market was a different pose than character splash art). another case where i think the 2021 post is a bit worse
2021 amber's is also pretty nice, looks deceptively simple but has enough going on to be interesting to me (just noticed the baron bunny overlay(?)). taking notes
last one is not a birthday event announcement but the font they chose is so interesting. it is nothing like the usual hoyo serif and I really like it. the gradient is also very nice
also all the text in the banners changes between each art; sometimes it's their skill/burst title, sometimes it's constellation titles, sometimes it's passives, etc. it's interesting.
after writing all this down I think I'm predisposed to liking the ones that integrate the character art into the design well, and everything else (font, background, whatnot) only matters relative to that lol. anyways mainly went through these taking notes

Would the sisters know when MC is about to get her period? And how would they deal with it? Like as vampires would the blood bother them for example, or make them feel hungry(hope not yikes) or make them uncomfortable? Uncomfortable bc I think that kind of blood doesnt have the same scent as fresh blood from another source. What if MC got unbearable pain for a couple days with fever and such so she had to be on bed? (Maybe projecting myself there, is terrible) I have a feeling they would spoil her to no end after the panic fades away, perhaps Carmen would need to intervene, we can call it Divine intervention đđ

I´ve made a post about this quite a while ago actually (I´d search my blog but...am too lazy atm tbh đ
). Basically, it´s all about those subtle changes that occur in and with the female body just before period hits. Yknow, things like-
hormonal shifts (estrogen levels and all that stuff)
release of pheromones (due to the hormonal shifts)
physical changes (bloating, tenderness, cramps)
mood swings (those are dangerous)
etc.
While mood swings are a dead giveaway, stuff like hormonal shifts isn't as obvious. At least not to your typical human. Meaning:
They can smell it. They can smell any changes occuring in- and outside MC´s body. They´ll probs know she´s about to bleed long before she does.

How would they deal with it?
I don´t think it would make them uncomfortable in the sense of making them hungry. They got centuries of experience when it comes to dealing with their bloodlust, so I think MC´s quite safe there, lol.
However, I can´t imagine that, in all their years, there hasn´t been an opportunity for them to get a taste. For a vampire, there´s gotta be some curiosity whether there´s any difference to their "usual" source. So I think the sisters very likely gave into their curiosity at some point. Especially during their Succubus phase in which they pretty much acted like horny teenagers 24/7. (Good times. When we leave out the why...)
Also, perhaps it works as some kind of...nutritional supplement? For some vamps? Like, I don´t think they could sustain themselves SOLELY on that type of blood. It´s just entirely different in composition, and the amount they´d get from it pales in comparison to their usual food source. Let´s also not forget the fact that it´s only available for a limited amount of time, then they´d have to wait for a new cycle to begin, literally lol. It´s just a very taxing way of getting blood because you constantly have to be on the move to get that good stuff before it runs out again. Can you imagine the pressure?? đ¤Ż
Right, to get back to the sisters:
I don´t think it would bother them. On the contrary:
The need to be close to MC would probs increase tenfold because something about the way she smells is just so...addicting? But also kinda soothing?? Like you said, the smell is probs different because there´s other stuff mixed in that blood as well, so I´d like to think the experience wouldn´t be as intense for a vampire. It´s more like a cat getting a healthy dose of catnip I´d say:
The sisters just wanna bury themselves into MC, rub themselves in all that is their mate whilst purring aggressively, only to flop over and cease to function for a while. It´s like a drug. đ
(Yes, that stick is MC. And there ain´t no way they gonna let her go anytime soon. And yes, they might also try to lick-)
Also, their protective instincts would go through the roof because of all those hormonal/pheromone changes. In the animal kingdom, lots of the communication happens through that stuff. Vampires are more on the animal side of the spectrum imo, so the need to defend what is theirs might be stronger than usual.

I mean, they very likely would have thought to go hunting before that period hits. Especially because they´re aware of its presence before it´s even there. So, a scenario like that probs won´t happen unless the sisters weren´t able to hunt for some reason. BUT STILL-

So yes, there´s defo gonna be lots of pampering and spoiling to no end. Anything MC desires shall be hers. In fact-
They´re a bit too overzealous. Bringing MC stuff that she didn´t even know existed. (They purchased it for that exact scenario.) Like, all MC wants is some chocolate, perhaps a heating pad and her wives showering her with their love. Which means lots of cuddles and kisses.
And what does she get instead?
Literally anything else because the only time the sisters aren´t on the move is when MC is asleep. Thus, they´re never stopping, always searching for something to get her and make her feel better-
Enter: The Divine Intervention
(I fucking love that btw.)
Carmen´s gonna have that look, yknow? The one that says how utterly charming she finds the attempts that have been made, but also *affectionate* wtf are you even doing, you fools? Like, yknow, she´s gonna go all "Oh, honey..." on them.
In other words: Carmen becomes (even more) Momma.
She´s gonna bring MC that chocolate and a heating pad, she´s gonna give her the biggest hug and a kiss on the forehead, and then she will proceed to fluff up that pillow, tuck in that blanket nice and tight, basically turning MC into a burrito-
And MC? Finally at peace, in heaven even. Can´t contain her sigh of utter relief and satisfaction. This is the shit-

𤊠ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: zekezachzoom Hello everyone! It's time to direct the spotlight toward our community members, and today we will get to know better zekezachzoom!

"My name is Sunny but you might know me better as zekezachzoom on social media. I am a freelance graphic designer and have been a toy photographer for 10 years.
I came up with this profile name after my sonsâ. Zeke is my second son and Zach my first. I imagined them running away after calling their names, hence Zoom. I live in Singapore where we have two seasons, Rain and Shine. Itâs a tiny island and getting around is pretty fast and easy. I have a few favourite spots around the island for toy photography. I will be more than happy to explore these places with any of my overseas friends if they pop by this part of the world! Though sometimes I wish we have mountains, rivers and maybe desert for more outdoor choices. On the plus side, being a small island makes organizing an outing with fellow toy photographers very easy, even if it is a last minute thing.

I started toy photography after posting an image of Spiderman squatting on the window ledge overlooking the neighborhood on InstagramâŚand then discovering the community. Everyone was and still is very encouraging and I think this helped in me trying to better myself with each photograph. Though Instagram is not what is used to be, but that is a discussion for another day.

â¨Talking about process, if there is a brief for the photo (commissioned work, photo contest), I will usually follow up with some research work on the topic. At the same time, I will park the topic for the photo at the back on my mind and let it simmer unconsciously.
However, for personal work, I usually do not actively chase for ideas, forcing them out. I find that most ideas come to me randomly. This usually happens in a variety of ways, like watching videos on any subject, going about my daily life, observing and listening to things around me. I think being curious about everything and anything certainly helps in generating ideas.
Once I have a photo idea, I then let it sit and simmer further in my mindâs eye. This can help take the concept to more interesting directions in terms of story, setup, composition, lighting, etc. More ideas can be built upon this initial concept base on even more things you see and observe. It also allows time to think about how to setup the shot.
I will always sketch my ideas on my notebook, which is always by my side. At present time, I have more ideas than time to shoot!

When it comes to the shoot itself, I usually start with the mobile phone, quickly checking the angles and then locking my camera to a tripod. I always use a tripod to gather multiple shots of the same angle with different lighting, atmospheric effect so that I can then composite them in post if need be. Then I will shoot couple of shots for final composition without the lighting and atmospheric effect. I enjoy the post production work, especially the color grading part. Sometimes, the word PHOTOSHOP give rise to arguments within the photographic community. To me, itâs just a tool to bring the picture to its maximum potential.

I think people I know in the community know me for my punny, silly and light-hearted stuff. So much so that friends recommend me toys they think that might fit this style. However, recently I find myself going all over the place in terms of themes. I just enjoy the process of experimenting different approaches, be it the storytelling or the technical bits of photography. When I am shooting indoor, I usually set up for low key images. It gives me a chance to experiment with indoor lighting. If there is one thing I would tell my younger self when I started, itâs to pay attention to lighting. It can elevate a nice photo to a great photo. Also, I like to build simple sets with everyday object that end up looking like something else when viewed through the camera. I do this mostly because I am lazy and donât have the patience to build dioramas. I am usually with a group of friends when I shoot outdoors, because we have a monthly gathering among us. During these outings, I am constantly looking out for areas with awesome lighting. I try to reserve my action shots (ie scenes with flying debris) outdoors, mostly because there is no need to clean up after the mess! Also, outdoor light is beautifulâŚbut fast changing lighting condition is another story all together.

When I first started, it was all about the Star Wars figures. I had stopped collecting figures since the 1980s , but it was the Star Wars Black Series that got me collecting again with all its glorious articulation. Once I discovered the community, I realized that there were other characters to be bought! I sometimes wonder if that is a good thing, from my walletâs point of view.â¨â¨I find myself gravitating towards nostalgia when it comes to the figures I buy. So, my collection and images usually reflect that, with movie/TV characters from the 80s. Stuff like Aliens, Indiana Jones, Predator and Back to the Future, etc. However, whether they are LEGO minifigures, statues, 6 inch figures, I will shoot any figures as long as they serve the stories. Each type of figures has its own pros and cons and challenges. But I would not have it any other way.

Why toy photography? I love pop culture and telling quirky weird stories with characters I love. I can never produce awesome looking illustration of these images I have in mind and photography seems like the next best thing. Hence toy photography! When I first started, I was always coming up with ideas in the middle of the night and sketching them down and made it my mission to spread this hobby. I recall vividly telling a friend how much I enjoy this hobby and was going to just keep throwing out toy photos into the internet and see what comes back. And a lot has indeed happen since then: ⢠I started a local Facebook group to organize more toy photography outings and share photos. ⢠Managed to get featured on national newspaper and television, because they came across my work online. ⢠Made friends on social media and participated in podcast by some of these friends. ⢠Conducted workshops. ⢠Shot for some toy companies. ⢠Collaboration with toy designers and model/diorama makers. ⢠Nikon Ambassador.

I have enjoyed the journey so far and look forward to improving myself. Something I always remind myself: your best photo is the one you have not taken yet."

Me, with the objectively worst opinion: Oh...I liked the idea of a QPR Lila x Five.
I'm only halfway through S4, but I like it over S3. (Victor's son caused me to mentally block out like 90% of S3)
Review so far:
Luther's plot: 3/10. I'd love for him to stop being the butt of the joke.
Diego: 0/10. Horrible. You're going to make him a dad and tell me he is not like a super loving and caring father and show me any of that????? Why???? Is he always treated so bad by the plot. Stop making fun of him ffs. Oh, he's barely even chubby, but make fun of his weight. Oh, he's kind of concerned his wife doesn't love him...when she doesn't....make him seem paranoid and in the wrong when...like??? What? WTF is Diego's character.
Allison: 6/10 Thank you for not sticking with Allison is the bad guy...though why throwing any character progression...uh what's with her and Claire??? Are they gonna expand on the last 6 years??? Why 6 years??? Hello??? Anyway, her plot is passable so far. Not best, but....not S3 which is a win
Victor: Only solid 7/10 because he's really hitting me-core. Only characterization I'm kinda on board with. Actually, yeah, have Victor living a really moderate life at a bar. I think he should take you another instrument that isn't the violim. Though not a fan of how they're depicting his powers. I liked the more ethereal powers. Though no on Victor having failed relationships. He needs an awkward cute romance like Sissy? WTF was with that whole beginning? Like...anyway.
Five: 2/10 I don't hate it. But it is the worst five plot thus far IMO.
Ben: 5/10. Actually, I do think Sparrow Ben would be arrogant enough to be in Crypto. I don't like Sparrow Ben, but his depiction tracks. Still wish we could...have OG Ben........Second thought, hate Sparrow Ben. Though whatever, love interest, okay.
Lila: ...1?/10 I feel like the one person who didn't like Diego x Lila, and didn't think she'd settle down. I like a QPR with her and Five. However--How they're handling this? Awful. Also, her powers????? No more mimic. Boooooooooooo.
Klaus: 2/10 I wanted them to go angst with Klaus' immortality, but...ughh. Compulsive cleanliness and over anxiety about common fears is a legitimate way paranoia can develop...as a person with those kinda issues, but they do not depict them in any. Like I'm going to be honest, when you do have those fears to that level...you aren't sober or if you are...you're not looking well. But forget all that crap, why couldn't we have whatever story was Klaus bonding with Allison and helping raise Claire. Why was that the plot we had to be told about rather than shown????$
Other thoughts:
-Gene and Jean are like...10/10. Solid villains. Love em. Costume, actors, quirks--great.
-OH. My. God. Can Reginald stoooooop being a character.
-Music and set designs are a 10/10, costumes this season and apparel is a 2/10. What are some of these looks????
-Uh...The plot is kinda...feels like a fanfic that the author continues after 6 years, half-assed and wings, and has no love for the source material. Some parts seem so lazy. The stakes feel weak. There's traces of a great story...buried in there.
Overall, my theory for what happened: Umbrella Academy leaned into its comic book elements in the worst way possible. For that to have worked, a cohesive and fully fleshed out plot would need to be in place first then followed by a style of editing, composition and mise-en-scene, and then characters can play into cartoon styles.
The editing and filming have not changed between seasons. There's no style. Actually, they've gotten worse. The camera angles are painfully standard. If you wanted comic book, that camera needs to be at some different angles, but no, 3/4, eye level, always capturing same length. Whoever directed this? For shame. You don't use the foreground. You don't use the background. Everything happens on the same level and has the same amount of presence on screen. It screams "no time for flare, let's just get this done!"
So many of the BTS/production elements feel...rushed. If that wasn't the case, if this didn't have a painfully short filming timeline and they didn't have severe restraints compared to the last seasons...than...no one had any love for the series anymore.
