omg those constellation themed asks are all so cool i can't choose so can i ask all of them??? cause i'm asking all of them :D
I MEAN...SURE?
ᡣ𐭩˘ᵕ˘ random constellation-themed asks
ara ⟢ what do you think makes a monster?
mmm. see, so i'm kinda weird about questions like this. most people, even bad people, aren't really 'monsters' in my book. maybe my sense of sympathy/empathy is badly skewed but for me, a true monster is a person like hitler or stalin. people that have killed millions, deliberately ruined the countries they rule over (trump is edging towards this imo). i don't honestly know if i believe that a 'general person' could be a monster. billionaires are monsters to me. idk. weird question for me lol
lyra ⟢ when do you feel most at ease?
i rarely feel at ease, honestly. i'm also tense, always worried, always stressing. that's why i'm in therapy! lmfao i guess if i had to pick, early morning when i'm just waking and shadow is curled up against me and i can just feel her and smell her fur
pegasus ⟢ what is your "light at the end of the tunnel"?
i don't really understand this one. i don't get what it's asking dsfsfgsdf um. i guess it would be being happy, healthy, comfortable enough monetarily to travel and get nice things for myself and my friends?
cygnus ⟢ did you build forts when you were a kid? What did they look like?
my brother and i did! usually we'd use the couch cushions, pillows, and blankets. once we used the kitchen table and that was fun
aquila ⟢ what's your favorite cheesy joke?
URGH I CAN'T DO IT OVER TEXT BC IT JUST DOESN'T WORK, YOU NEED THE ACCENT. i recorded it for you. here you go.
delphinus ⟢ what does your name mean, and why was it given to you?
'pure' and it is the more traditional spelling, caitlin. i don't really know why i was named it
pavo ⟢ what's your favorite commercial?
If you get long-term payments, but you need cash now Call JG Wentworth 877-CASH-NOW 877-CASH-NOW
sagittarius ⟢ what is something random that most people don't know about you?
i don't drink soda. haven't had a drop of soda in over 3 years now and have no plans to go back to it
hydrus ⟢ which of the four seasons is the worst suited for your personality and why?
summer. i honestly hate summer, especially here. the last couple summers have been truly horrific. i'm fat and being hot is the absolute worst
andromeda ⟢ what is a world record you think you could totally beat if you really wanted to?
umm...i feel like i could probably name more horse breeds than most other people?
fornax ⟢ what quality does a person need to have for you to instantly like or click with them?
liking characters i do and having similar interests is always a plus. i generally don't 'instantly click' with people, tho, honestly.
puppis ⟢ what's the most stupid / disappointing / bad movie or tv show you have ever seen?
OH MY GOD hang on lemme make sure i have the right show one sec...okay i'm pretty sure it was the bastard executioner by kurt sutter on fx. i was really excited for it, it had a super cool premise, i LOVED sons of anarchy so i was like fuck yeah let's go. and then the first ep was HORRIBLE and i never watched it again lmfao
capricornus ⟢ what's your funniest relationship/friendship dealbreaker?
funniest?? uhh...fuck idk? not cursing?
vulpecula ⟢ what did you think adulthood was like in your teens?
i thought it would be better than this, tbh. i kinda knew from a young age that i wasn't gonna get married (probably at least idk) but i thought i'd have a house and a good paying job and maybe a dog and i wanted to be able to own a horse and HA that ain't happening sooo
auriga ⟢ if you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would you want to go?
ireland. my family is largely irish and i'd love to go spend a year there
serpens ⟢ if you had the opportunity to be immortal, would you take it? why (not)?
maybe? i don't really know, honestly. i like the idea of it but i feel like it would be sad eventually. i wouldn't wanna outlive my friends
cetus ⟢ what's a common practice in your social circle or family which you noticed is uncommon outside of your circle?
oh hell i dunno. my family are crazy ass southerners, we probably would look insane to anyone else. my dad throws massive fish fries and huge feasts for most any holiday he can so that's a thing
orion ⟢ what is a red, a beige and a green flag of yours?
does this mean of mine like my own flags or flags in other people. i'm confused. i'm going other people. for me, a red flag in others is treating csr/service workers/waiters/janitors badly. like. fuck you. for a beige flag, um...shit idk. not texting back immediately? and for a green flag, saying thank you to service workers/waiters, etc. that shit is important. THANK PEOPLE.
ursa minor ⟢ if you could live multiple lives of your choosing, what would they look like? who would you be, where would you live and what would you be doing?
i would want to live LITERALLY anywhere else than the usa right now. please someone marry me so i can get out of this hellhole. in seriousness, i'd love to be living in a country that works with horses and is known for horsemanship. the netherlands, for example. owning a large horse stable, training ethetically and with proper care for the horses, fixing the state of modern dressage (which is totally broken and i could rant about that FOR HOURS try meeee). being rich and famous and hot would be great too lmfao
thanks but also NO THANKS BC THAT WAS A LOT >8I

Yes. In a way, his decisions make perfect sense from his point of view.
Yes, he IS prideful and arrogant, very much so, but that mostly impacted his views on his own power and capabilities. The fact he believed to be strong enough to defeat the king while challenging him head on is what doomed him. He should have been more careful at that moment and take a less... "Frontal" approach, which he is entirely capable of, given his manipulation skills.
The fact he did it alone and didn't ask for help... Heh.. not so much.
He has to do it alone because nobody seems to care about Corvus anymore. I mean, even Columba, in all her support and friendship, tells him that he should somehow move on. He never gave up on him while the others simply accepted his "disappearance" without any actual confirmation of his death.
Yeah, there probably would have SOME Celestrians who thought like him and would have aided him.. but did they show themselves? Did they support him while he grieved? Did they talk to him about it? No. Because they couldn't or didn't want to.
Apus Major was careless and even cruel in a way, even though that's probably not what he aimed for.
As for us, his student... Well, he doesn't consider it our responsibility nor our "right" to aid him. He probably also did not think we would become so strong, especially without our celestrian attributes..
Saving his mentor.. doesn't and shouldn't concern us. It's his business and his duty, not ours.
Also, and that's where we will enter in the "in the need of therapy" part... Aquila made his choice between us and his master. Saving Corvus.. is more important than us. At least emotionally.
It goes against everything he actually believes in, for Aquila may be a harsh and even authoritarian mentor, but he truly believes in his responsibilities towards his student. He truly cares for us and, like he said, deceiving and betraying us is his only true regret. He thought himself completely unworthy of being our teacher and blamed himself extremely harshly for it.
But Corvus.. well... He's one of the only people who truly understood him. He is the core of his trauma, the very reason he kept on fighting and doing his mission even if he didn't really believe in it.
In a way, it's better that Aquila died before liberating Corvus, and let us finish his mission for him. Seeing him in that state, desperate and having forsaken everything he believed in.. would probably have broken his heart. I don't think he would have been able to truly face him afterwards.
He would probably have thought that being attacked by Corvus (which I honestly believe our favorite fallen grandpa would have done) was only some kind of fitting karma for the things he did to us. He would not have had anything to believe in and fight for anymore.
His sacrifice.. and ultimate death.. was tragic, but necessary.
A lot of Aquila’s less-great decisions make a lot more sense when you consider the fact that talking about Corvus was forbidden, meaning that even if he wanted to, he literally couldn’t get therapy.
And it’s not like that’s the only example we’ve seen of people being left to stew in their emotions for three-hundred years leading to a non-ideal outcome. Stop putting your problems off for three-hundred years, people. It’s not worth it.

birthday wishes
Tumblr media
kaeya x gn!reader
synopsis: kaeya’s birthday wish
word count: 964
fluff
warnings: a little suggestive 😇
a/n: happy birthday to kaeya the love of my life idc if he is a set of pixels 🥳🙏🙏 i have been a PROUD main since feb 25 2021 and i am not ashamed. i will proudly flex my triple crowned c5 r2 aquila kaeya on people. also did y’all see his birthday art???? LORDDDDD
Tumblr media
the streets of the city were bustling, this time of the year was always busy. it was breaching the season of christmas, so everyone’s days were slowly getting busier and busier. whether it be busy with work, christmas shopping, or other unknown tasks, everyone found a way to be busy.
you, however, were currently on your way home early to surprise your boyfriend for his birthday.
you’d been away on a business trip for roughly three months now, and wasn’t supposed to return until right before christmas. this meant you would miss kaeya’s birthday— which you could never do to him. after some nonstop nagging your boss they reluctantly agreed to allow you to cut the trip early and finish the rest at home.
kaeya had no clue you were back in town. last he knew you were on your way to a big business conference and couldn’t talk for awhile, when in reality you were boarding your flight back home. after an agonizingly long six hour flight, you landed and found your way to the taxi outside.
thanks to a few mutual friends you got ahold of kaeya’s schedule for the day, so you knew how to plan things perfectly. you were going to do your best to avoid the apartment just in case he happened to stop by. if all goes according to plan, in a few hours you two will be reunited and celebrating his birthday together.
-
you spent the next three hours running all around the city, going from shop to shop for items. you bought a whole miscellaneous of items. the cake, obligatory fancy wine, a new watch to complete his set, some cologne, anything and everything that kaeya loved you managed to grab. time was flying by, and before you knew it you were rushing home to set up the apartment.
the apartment was thankfully empty when you arrived, just like you had planned. everything had been going according to schedule, so you had at least an hour to get everything laid out.
you started with the kitchen, placing the cake down in the center of the counter island. grabbing two glasses of wine out of the cabinets above, you filled them up and set them opposite of each other. you left the bottle out, figuring that one glass would not be enough for either of you.
next, you moved onto the living room. you unpacked all of the little trinkets and gifts you had bought your beloved, quickly and neatly wrapping them and placing them on the coffee table. by the time you were done it almost looked like christmas in there.
and at last, you moved onto the bedroom. you wanted to let kaeya end the day off with something relaxing, so what’s better than spending some time in the bedroom? you quickly made up the sheets, tucking them in and straightening them so they were all neat. next, you lit some candles on your nightstands to give the room an aroma. you went with a fall spice scent— awhile back kaeya mentioned that smell was his one of his favorites. your memory with that type of stuff was finally coming in handy today.
once you fixed up any last-minute preparations, you changed into another set of clothes. just on queue, you heard the door click as the clock chimed at six-o’clock. you casually made your way down the hallway, hoping this scenario would play out like you’d rehearsed in your head a million times.
when kaeya saw you standing in front of him, he stopped immediately. at first he did a double take, not thinking it was real. he’d been sleeping less— it was probably a hallucination. however, when he watched you walk towards him and cup his face in your hands, he knew it wasn’t a hallucination.
your lover wrapped his arms around your waist firmly, pulling you in for a deep kiss. it caught you off guard— although you should’ve expected a reaction like this. after being without each other for so long it’s no surprise that both of you were on the needy side.
your bodies melted against each other’s, lips moving in sync. somehow you ended up with your back against the wall, arms wrapped around his neck. kaeya’s knee slid between your legs, resting there as he took over the kiss. he would gently bite down on your bottom lip ever so often, electing a gasp out of you. testing the waters a little, he ran his tongue over your bottom lip too. you caught on and slid your tongue into the kiss too, heating up the atmosphere even more. now your tongues were brushing against each other ever so often, making the kiss a little messy at this point. messy didn’t matter right now, though. he tasted like peppermint and sweets, and his lips felt like heaven. that’s all that mattered.
“what are you doing here?” kaeya asked breathless as he pulled away from the kiss. his forehead rested against yours as you both tried to catch your breath.
“i wanted to surprise you for your birthday,” you let out a shaky laugh as you tried to regain your composure. your head was spinning right now, and your body felt like it was on fire. “i convinced my boss to let me do the rest of the trip from home. i’m here now.”
kaeya was at a loss for words. he’d been dreading his birthday for months because he’d been thinking he was going to spend it alone. he was never a fan of his birthday, but spending it without the love of his life was an even more miserable thought. however, here you were standing in front of him.
guess birthday wishes do come true afterall.

5, 8 and 23! (fot the ask the author thing)
5) character you were most surprised to end up writing
I definitely did not expect to write so much Marcus Aquila, lol. But ey has just sort of entrenched emself in The Gang, and ey's here to stay for the rest of the rewrite now! (Ey has a key role in at least three more upcoming Plot Blocks so far...)
8) favorite genre to write
I mean, it would be easy to say 'smut' or 'romance' and these would be true, but in the end my fave thing to write is horror. I just love getting in there and writing awful descriptions that elicit a fully visceral reaction. :D Expect at least a little of that in some chapters of ToC.
23) any obscure life experiences that you feel have helped your writing?
I unfortunately have a lot of experience with severe illness and pain, which means I can describe these things unpleasantly well when I want to. That's probably what led to my childhood special interests being largely scientific and medical, and that knowledge informs my writing a lot! Last but not least, the Buddhist practices that cultivate compassion can also be applied to fictional people, and I feel like that helps me write my antagonists in a more rounded, dimensional way. The bad guy is never a bad guy to themself, after all...

I'm immediately invested in this Alistair the Loving because That's Me! Just I'm Alasdair the Gremlin. I'd love to know more about them, if you're willing c:
Absolutely! I’m so glad you like Alistair so much, since they’re probably one of my favorite OCs of all time. Here’s a bit of personal information about them:
True Name: REDACTED Tavern Name: Alistair the Loving Gender: Non-binary (DMAB) Ethnicity: Unknown Age: 33 Height: 5"2 (short kings rise up) Eye Color: Grey Hair Color: Unknown Sexuality: Panromantic, Pansexual (Poly) Birthday: November 4th (Scorpio) Their Mother(s): Beatrice, daughter of Mercy Their Father(s): James, son of Frederick Their Sibling(s): James Jr (40), Cassian (40), Beatrice (38), Lavinia (38), Gratiana (37), Hugh (37), Aquila (35), Augustus (35), Severin (33), Viola (33), Regina (30), Maximus (30) Their Kid(s): Balthazar the Almighty (10 - Adopted) Enneagram Type: Seven Personality: Upbeat, optimistic, and devoted to their own self-improvement, Alistair is a beacon of affection and hope, truly believing that the universe around them is a loving one. They're easily distracted at times, and can get stubborn about their trust in others (save for the Fae, who they will never trust), but they are still a very kind-hearted person who wants to see their loved ones and peers thrive. They're also very energetic and reckless, something that routinely gets them into trouble. Smarter than they let on. Backstory: Born into a truly massive family in the medieval ages, Alistair grew up surrounded by siblings, always competing for their parents' (primarily their father's) attention and love. At a young age, they began their training as a knight, and quickly became the best in their class, eventually graduating and becoming a fully fledged knight of the royal guard. They had an amazing career, and retired at the ripe old age of 28. Now that they're stuck in the tavern, they dream of truly fulfilling themselves, and figuring out why they feel so empty even though it seemed like they had a nice life up until now. Cue a brave but troubled orphan entering the tavern, and now Alistair hopes to find fulfillment through teaching this child to wield a sword and fight evil.
Yep, there they are! I’m still working on a lot of the plot for the story they’re involved in, but here’s my first draft for a description of it (you’ll probably be able to tell who Alistair is):
Description: We've all heard of it; the door that leads to another universe, but you can never predict when a door will take you elsewhere. It’s always unexpected, but never random. Most times this leads prodigal nobody's into a fantasy life of wonder and glory, but for nine year old Clement Grounding- now renamed Balthazar the Almighty by the barkeep- it's landed him in a tavern that has an odd requirement to complete before a trapped customer can truly escape; you must discover your reason for being there and fulfill your destiny. Alongside an uproarious noir detective with amnesia, a troubled war veteran who just wants to be a loving father, and a foolish yet endearing knight in shining armor, young Balthazar must find a way to return home, or at the very least, make this bar feel a little more like it.
((Sorry, I know I’m going off more about the story than Alistair at this point, but I’m very passionate about both!)) Other than what I’ve listed, there honestly isn’t much that I’m comfortable talking/posting about until I’m done with more of the story, except for my OC side-blog, but that’s almost completely comprised of posts I’ve found on Tumblr that remind me of the characters, leading me to tag them in the posts. Here’s Alistair’s tag!
Thank you for being interested in my OC, it means so much to me!

The Priests
Long ago the gods waged war over who would get a priest. In more recent times they’ve decided it’s better they all be loved instead.
Nari, Johanna, Vex, Matrahul, Aarin, Sage, Sabrina, Dazen
Alshain's priest
Alshain's wife
Firey passion with a flaming sword who makes sure no one is ever mean to Alshain
Uses her magic for practical uses and to be, generally, eerie
Likes using her magic to make Alshain's favorite plants grow and giving Alshain gift baskets full of flowers and fruits
Has a soft spot for young girls and is trying to uplift girls in Alshain to be more than just workshop helpers or mothers, but actual artisans themselves
People of Alshain are still shocked that Alshain took a woman as a priest and Nari makes sure she is never but perfectly poised and elegant
Has a pretty good relationship with the other priests and if not for Alshain would probably be in love with one or two
Tso Ke's priest
Face of a wood nymph muscles of Ryan Gosling
School teacher to children in Starcrash
Isn't even super devout to Tso Ke before she became his priest
More like his mom than his wife. always telling him he's doing a great job. overall just very encouraging. the gentlest person you've ever met, would not hurt a fly despite having bigger muscles than most men you know
The first time she kissed Tso Ke he was the one who got all flustered and blushed bc he's a giant baby
Absolute mom friend
has some kids from a previous marriage. Husband died in a mine building Starcrash when they were both young and she raised them herself. She's since moved on.
Priest of Deneb
Doesn't consider herself his wife
hermit to the max
only ventures out of the deep jungles of Deneb when called by her god or people of the province are in need of her, or one of the other priests come calling
is good friends with all the priests and always welcomes them into her home for tea and treats
thinks of herself more as Deneb's mother than wife since he's so prone to temper tantrums
always has sweets on hand to calm him down
Aquilae's priest
is rarely ever anywhere in particular
doesn't own personal property of own things in general
very spiritual and a free spirit
rarely near anyone but if you need her she will probably show up
likes to use teleportation magic
1. it's very fast to move around the desert of Aquilae, 2. it uses up her magic meaning she has more excuses to kiss Aquilae
REALLY likes kissing Aquilae
Tarazed's priest
Less his husband and more someone just for Tarazed to use
Complete sub in all things
Easily aggravated. Doesn't enjoy being known but will suffer it
A real jock with a chip on his shoulder, much like Tarazed
Always gets into arguments with Spayar. Resents Spayar bc he sees Tarazed as liking Spayar more than him even tho he is Tarazed's priest
Prone to petty jealousies that make him do crazy things to get Tarazed to notice him. Doesn't really get it that Tarazed likes him as he is unconditionally so always trying to prove himself for attention
Thalimain's priest
not well known as a priest
rarely goes out into the rest of Thalimain and instead stays in the tower/temple built for Thalimain
Obsessively tracks the Cloud Banks tides and the movements of the stars. She's very interested in how the gods move about the cosmos and what their absences in the sky could mean
Rarely uses magic
while she is Thalimain's priest and he does dote on her they don't know each other very well. Mostly bc neither of them can talk to the opposite gender bc they're both so awkward and when Thalimain is awkward he turns into fire and/or cries from stress
Sage is good at comforting him when he does that at least
Bezek's priest
very excited to be the wife of a god
specializes in growing gourds and root vegetables
When it's fall she has gourd carving projects to do with hatchlings.
Or she uses magic to make them grow out of season.
On new moons she takes her carved gourds and puts them out into her fields with little fire in them so they glow in the darkness. It REALLY freaks some members of the clan out who aren't expecting it
Can be temperamental. always gets what she wants. Can match Bezek in stubbornness but usually wins bc she's his wife and is usually way more reasonable than Bezek is being
Tseen Foo's priest
brat and a HELLA bro. as much Tseen Foo's foil as his husband
thinks kissing is gross. mad aroace lad who ended up in a romantic relationship with a god
spends 90% of his time out in the Red Lash encouraging the young pine trees there to regrow
absolutely f*cking HATES Malik's guts with the passion of 10,000 stars
that's why Tseen Foo likes him so much, bc he hates Malik almost as much as Tseen Foo hates Malik
when out in the Red Lash likes to sing to himself. has been told his singing is AWFUL. more like screeching raccoons. Just does it anyway bc it makes him happy and less lonely when Tseen Foo isn't around

My thoughts on Love, Death + Robots
Gonna give a mostly spoiler-free review on each episode of Love, Death + Robots.  Sonnie’s Edge – Honestly? Probably one of my favorites. Animation style was awesome, story was engaging, and the twist at the end was A+. I really want more of this universe.
Three Robots – Clever little comedic break from some of the more serious/dark episodes. It was charming and amusing with a nice little twist at the end. Watch this one after Suits or Beyond the Aquila Rift.
The Witness – Least favorite of all of them. Only redeeming factor was the unique animation style. Gratuitous nudity, and not much story.
Suits – Another one of my favs. This one actually made me tear up a little. Really neat concept, and I’ve always been a sucker for mecha. Short, but succeeded in making me care about the characters I just met. Animation was top notch.
Sucker of Souls – My review of this one: …eh?... It wasn’t all that memorable. Sometimes “bad” animation is a style in itself, but Sucker of Souls kinda fell flat.
When the Yogurt Took Over – Another comedy one, and the shortest of the series. Liked the unique idea and style. Not really much else to say.
Beyond the Aquila Rift – Hoo boy. This one will mess with your brain. Beyond the Aquilla Rift left me wanting more answers (and some that I’m probably better off not knowing). Animation was good, story was great... but it could have done without that long sex scene.
Good Hunting – Good Hunting made the low-budget animation style work really well. Great story, cool characters. Maybe dial back on the fanservice though. Would love to see more in this universe.
The Dump – Of all the episodes, The Dump fit in the least. Another “ehhh” from me.
Shape-Shifters – Back-to-back mediocre episodes. Lame. Animation was right in the uncanny valley, and while the overall concept was a neat idea, the execution was sub-par.
Helping Hand – Oh man, Helping Hand had me on the edge of my seat. I don’t know if space works that way, but I was willing to suspend my disbelief for the sake of dramatic tension.
Fish Night – Cool idea, but left me feeling unfulfilled? Mixed feelings on this one. Very colorful, though; all style, no sustenance.
Lucky 13 – Top 3. Easy. Maybe I’m biased because I like military sci-fi, but Lucky 13 was fantastic. Animation was crisp, and whoever the artistic director was, they did a bang-up job.
Zima Blue – Very unique style and concept. Zima Blue was the most “artsy” (which fits the story). Liked it.
Blindspot – I feel like I should have liked this one more, but for some reason I just didn’t? It was alright, but nothing special. Had some funny moments, though. I could totally see Blindspot as a full series, just not one that I would watch.
Ice Age – At first, I thought “damn that is some good animation.” But then I realized it was mostly live action. Clever, but I feel like this idea has been done before somewhere else.
Alternate Histories – Right behind When the Yogurt Took Over in terms of weirdness. Actually, maybe a little weirder. Got a chuckle out of me, so points for trying.
The Secret War – Another one that I want to see more of. The Secret War took a trope that’s usually associated with the Nazi’s and gave it to the USSR, which was cool. Didn’t have enough time to get totally invested in the characters, which was unfortunate. Would have worked better as a longer piece rather than a short.
Love, Death + Robots – Really, really good. I very much enjoyed the whole series and I hope they make a second season. Don’t skip any of the shorts; you might like one that I didn’t, and all of them are the labor of love of so many talented artists and animators.

Hi I'm here for revenge and to distract you from TRC feels. For the constellations game: Aquarius, Aries, Cancer (this is the revenge one), LYRA, Aquilla, and Pavo. I hope this keeps you busy for a while you're welcome. Don't send me more stuff about TRC that will frustrate me, you know why.
Thank you for the question, Connie! I LOVE MY RAVEN CHILDREN but fine I’ll stop texting you about them. For as long as it takes me to answer this ask at least. Which will probably be a long time knowing me. Well-played, Turnpenny, well-played.
Connie is sending me questions from this ask game.
Aquarius: Who’s your least favorite character to write?
My characters are my children. How could I have a least favorite?
Aries: Share a line that you’re proud of!
From Summer Hours:
It was as if someone had filled my mouth with dirt and it was falling down my throat. I couldn’t breathe. I pushed through the door and bolted down the hallway and outside the building. The sunlight was startling, my heartbeat leaping to the very edge of my skin as if I’d burned myself. I stumbled down to the sidewalk and hunched over the curb, my insides twitching and gasping.
Cancer: What are the names of the songs from the musical rendition of your project? (aka, have fun! come up with fun names)
Well the first song is clearly Connie is a Little Shit For Asking Me Such A Hard Question (20 minute version) I kid, I kid... (mostly)
when will these boys tell each other they’re in love?
i’m kicking you in the balls
we should get drunk
did that drunken kiss just ruin everything?
i don’t want to fight
is this what a panic attack feels like?
you don’t know my sister
Lyra: Give us a few songs that fit your project!
I have A LOT OF THE FEELINGS about the songs I associate with my writing, especially Summer Hours. I had every intention of explaining why I chose multiple songs but then I wrote 250+ words on one song & decided to cut myself off 😅
Why Am I Like This? by Orla Gartland
This is an Ivy Finch song through and through. I actually got shivers the first time I heard the opening. “Last night I smoked a cigarette My dad would have been so upset”.  It was like Ivy was singing in my ear. Ivy lost her father when she was only eight years old and she misses him desperately. She’s incredibly conflicted because she wants to stick up a middle finger to the world and do whatever the fuck she wants but she also hates the idea of disappointing her family, especially her father.
“Maybe you don't really want me there at your birthday partyI'll be there in the corner, thinking right overEvery single word of the conversation we just hadSo why am I like this? Why am I like this?…Oh, it's like I'm looking down from the ceiling aboveNever in the moment, never giving enough”
The anxiety expressed throughout the song is also applicable to Aaron. Aaron and Ivy seem incredibly different and they are, but they have some stuff in common too: like how incredibly hard they are on themselves. “Let's go out and shout the words we never said”
After everything, after he gets through the worst of his grief, “go and shout the words we never said” is Aaron’s top priority. He’s learned that he needs to tell the people he loves that he loves them, he needs to honestly express how he’s feeling. Ivy didn’t get that chance, but Aaron does and he's taking full advantage of it.
A few more songs I love that are very Summer Hours: Providence by Lisa Mitchell, Hiding by Florence + the Machine, and Tonight by Lykke Li (it is perfect for Aaron and Xavier). If you’re curious I have a playlist for Summer Hours on Spotify (along with more playlists for characters, relationships, and my other WIP Call It What You Want)
Aquila - What do you do when you’re stuck in your writing?
Lately I’ve developed this bad habit of just not writing. I don’t suggest this! Breaks are good, obviously, but I’ll go days. In the past, I’ve found if I leave my house and take a walk I usually come back refreshed and with a clearer head. I also like to write out of order so I can write whatever scene is most speaking to me in the moment.
Pavo: Where do you get inspiration from?
I’m slightly weird and tend to come up with characters before my stories. So I get my inspiration from people. If I see someone on the street who I think looks interesting my brain tends to fall down a rabbit hole of discovering what their story is. Do they have siblings? Do they have secrets? Are they happy? Eventually I end up crafting stories around my characters. Usually. I do have some characters who I have yet to give a home.
Thanks, Connie! 💕

Lesbian Ranks Otome Guys
Starship Promise
1. Atlas Molniya (as of Season 2)- He probably shouldn’t be my favorite, but he is. He’s got his problems, but his grumpiness is mostly superficial. He’s always reliable, and always there when MC or the crew needs him.
2. Orion Akatsuki (as of Season 5)- Logically, Orion should be my favorite. He’s the least disastrous of all of the Male LIs and is generally really good to the MC. As a captain he’s always been fair even in other people’s routes.
3. Antares Fairchild (as of Season 3)- He and Orion are tied in terms of how I currently at this moment feel about them as people. Based on how their routes open and where Antares’ route seems to be going though Antares loses.
4. Jaxon Silva (as of season 6) - His entire identity and everything he said he does is a lie so...not exactly a great basis for a relationship. He’s arrogant as hell, but has done absolutely nothing to earn that arrogance. I’ll probably never forgive him for treating MC like shit when she said she was pregnant, and I’ll definitely never forgive him for bragging that he’s always there for her after he’d just fucked off for days. His personality type is similar to Remy so you would think I would like him more, but he’s just the worst.
5. Tyrian Aquila (as of Season 1)- I know I just went off on Jaxon, but I have a new least favorite! Going into it, I imagined the MC’s childhood friend was going ot be agreeable person. Instead, he kidnapped her at least 4 times in 8 episodes and constantly spouts abuser rhetoric and half-assed excuses which only make it worse, especially when he’s trying to convince the MC he actually cares about her.

what did you think of love death + robots? were there episodes you liked?
i just finished it lol! overall i think i really liked it but its not for squeamish ppl. id def watch if there was a season 2 and ive always been a fan of anthology series in general, and i LOVE animation!!!!! it WAS good but like most stuff with an “adult” brand on them theres a lot of needless gore and nudity thats jus like... distasteful and horny like you can tell if someone was beating their meat during production. i really liked the concept and animation on “the witness” for example, but it was literally SO needlessly horny that i dont think id care to watch it again LOL?
the ones i really liked were sonnie’s edge, 3 robots, zima blue, suits, sucker of souls, good hunting, lucky 13, and blindspot. fish night wasnt that interesting to me but it was GORGEOUS.
when the yogurt took over was funny, the dump was alright, shape shifters i jus... dont care for like the propaganda and military shit plus werewolf racism like alright. beyond the aquila rift had a kind of interesting concept but like the witness, it was soooo indulgently horny for no real reason that its probably my least favorite. ice age was cute, helping hand was interesting, alternate histories was distasteful, and the secret war was good but didnt leave a real strong impression.

A Long Time Ago In Gaul (an ACOR fanfic)
Tumblr media
Hello lovelies! I wrote this fanfic for the prompt “Birthday” (Day 19) of the Choices March Challenge hosted by amazing @mariamulroney ❤️
It’s the very beginning of ACOR: Lucilla has been living at the scholae for a while now but on a special day her thoughts fly back to her happier days in her lost Gaul. Just for your information, Lena is the co-protagonist of this fic but this is not a romantic Lena x MC fanfic. You know I’m a huge Lena stan, so if you are too, by all means, read this as a “prologue” of this lovely yet neglected ship (I would lie if I hadn’t written it that way!). But non-Lena stans rejoice: this is safe for you too!
Also a disclaimer: this fic contains the reason behind the “wildflower” pet name!
Prompt: Birthday
Word Count: 1361
Perma Tag: @brightpinkpeppercorn @psychopathdreamer21 @bbaba-yagaa @abunchofbadchoices @silverhawkenzie @bhavf @begging-for-kamilah @melodyofgraves @kennaxval @strangerofbraidwood
I’m adding my Lena stans tag too ‘cause I think (at least I hope!) they might enjoy it, even if it’s not explicitly romantic: @korrasamixlover @3pawandme @jellymonster @gayestchoices
_________________________
"Lucilla? Are you still with me?"
The Gaul turned towards the voice and saw her domina Lena giving her a quizzical and slightly concerned look. I must have spaced out again, Lucilla thought, frowning.
"Yes...a-apologies, domina" she muttered in her still strongly accented Latin.
"You messed up the whole text. I'm not even sure this is remotely close to what Greek looks like" the older woman commented, showing her a scroll full of messy signs.
Lucilla took a quick look at it then turned her head away. She grimaced and said, shattering her jaw:
"Greek is not my language. I don't know how to write it"
Lena shook her head and inhaled sharply.
"If you want to lie to me, you should do better than this. To be successful, lies must sound real, relatable. You should incorporate part of the truth. That's why your attempt is...weak. To put it mildly"
Since the Gaul didn't answer but kept awfully quiet, fiercely avoiding eye contact, the domina continued:
"Lucilla, you are my best student. You've been here at the scholae for what? Three, four months? And your Greek is already outstanding: you nail the sounds and have a natural accent. Don't tell me lies I cannot believe. What's going on? You can talk to me"
The Gallic girl pressed her lips together as if to stop the words that were lingering in her throat. She wanted so much to open up to someone in the hope that sharing your own sorrows with someone else would help you recover and heal your wounds sooner, but she felt like she could trust no one in the crowdy city made of stone, so different from the forest she lived in. She felt so lonely and the weight of her grief was troubling her. It was not an ordinary day for her, it wouldn’t have been...if she hadn't been in Rome but among her people. As it should be, I don't belong here, she thought. But none of this left her mouth. She sat in silence in her, putting on a stone visage.
Lena noticed and after a while, she dropped the scroll on the girl's lap and stood.
"Fine, I'll leave you to your thoughts. You know where to find me if you change your mind"
The older woman moved to the garden where another girl was already walking towards her.
A little hope kindled inside Lucilla. She probably needed to let it out before it tormented her troubled heart any longer. And...the domina had been nothing but kind to her, after all. She had been a handful, badly adjusting to the Roman world and refusing to speak their language, wear their clothes and so on. Lena had been firm but fair with her, she showed her that she was no enemy. Since she took her hand into hers when Legate Aquila dragged her in chains to the scholae, Lucilla had always felt somehow safe around her.
"It's my birthday" she blurted out when Lena entered the garden.
The older woman stopped and turned towards her.
"If I counted the days correctly, today is my birthday" the girl explained, her head now slightly turned to the side.
Lena slightly grimaced and kindly asked the other girl to come find her later. Then she walked back to where Lucilla was sitting and took a seat beside her.
"How do you say happy birthday in Gallic?" She asked, tentatively putting an arm around her.
Lucilla didn't retreat and grimly whispered something in her own language. Lena cleared her throat and repeated it...but the words so elegant in the girl's mouth came out broken. The Gaul badly stifled a laugh.
"That bad, huh?" Lena asked and an apologetic smile appeared on her lips.
"Gallic is not your language"
"And it shows" the older woman chuckled. "I surely made a fool of myself"
"It's the thought that counts and it's nice to hear my language. Or something like that" the girl smiled weakly.
"How many, little princess?"
"Eighteen"
"You're a blossoming flower then! In my language that's how we call people around your age" Lucilla turned towards her and Lena looked her up and down "But I'd say you're more a wildflower, aren't you?"
"Wildflowers are free and grow in the forest. I can live with that"
"The wildflower it is" Lena smiled.
After a while, since the girl went quiet again, she added:
"I celebrated my eighteen birthday here too. But I came here sooner than you did"
Lucilla gave her a frowning look.
"I'm so sorry, domina. Was it hard for you too?"
Lena gave her a pained smile.
"It was. Being a courtesan never was my...dream job. But tell me about you: how do you celebrate birthdays in Gaul?"
A wave of memories hit Lucilla. The familiar smell of pine and wood in the air, the chill yet gentle breeze among the trees, messing with her curls. Her lost Gaul. Delphinia tenderly kissing her forehead and stroking her hair as she woke her up: "it's a special day, love, your day".
Much kept left unsaid since she was at loss of words in Latin and some memories burnt like spikes piercing her heart. But she told Lena of her mother baking her favorite honey cake, her Dad and Cingerix going hunting for her early in the morning and triumphantly showing her the prey as they came back. She still remembered that time when a dear friend of her mother, another priestess of Tsirona with ginger hair, joined them and offered her a flower crown. Or that time when she was a kid and Victus still hadn't returned from a meeting with the elderlies of her tribe and she was so blue...but then he appeared at the other side of the square and asked cheerily: "Where is my princess? There is my princess!". He pointed at her and gestured to come closer. Her little self made a dash towards him and he wrapped her in the tightest hug, twirling her around. "Happy birthday, snowflake! May the Gods always smile upon you!" he exclaimed before peppering her head with kisses. She also told the other woman of her brother: they bantered a lot with each other, relentlessly teased each other but on those occasions, he would admit that "this world wouldn't be the same without you". On her last birthday together he made a prince oath to always protect her "even if you're not bad with your bow". And he did: he shielded her with his body and fight off the soldier who took her by surprise during the Roman raid. That cursed day when it all ended. ---------------------
Later that night when Lucilla returned to her room after dinner, she noticed a small box on her table. She reached for it. Inside there were a few scrolls, a slice of an unknown sweet she spotted on Lena's desk once and a note. She immediately recognized her domina's sophisticated penmanship.
"Happy birthday, Lucilla! I know this is little consolation for your grief: as much as I'm glad to have a girl like you in my scholae, I wish you were celebrating this day with your family in your beloved homeland. I hope you will do it again one day. In the meantime, please accept a sweet treat and these scrolls: they took me company when I felt lonely. Hope they will help you too. And I beg you, redo your Greek assignment and hand it to me tomorrow: you can do better than that.
May your dreams take you where your heart wants to be, wildflower"
Lucilla read the note twice before putting it down and taking another look to the small box. For the first time in her whole day, a bright smile illuminated her face. She took a bite of the cake and grabbed the scrolls. She picked up the Greek assignment scroll too and placed it on her nightstand.
It may have been not my best birthday but...I have a friend, she thought as she started reading the scrolls Lena gave her.

Thoughts on Love, Death and Robots
Just as a preface I’d like to say that I’m glad Netflix actually invested in this type of storytelling, and I honestly enjoy anthology series and their ability to provide a wide range of perspectives and give creators the freedom to show what they want to show, even if the result is less than full length; i mean, all of these are short and sweet and while i wish there was more content for some of them, what’s given is enough to understand the premise and the story line. The medium of animation tells so much with so little! I additionally hope they give a second season!
also, if you haven’t watched the show yet be aware that its reasonable to say a majority of them had, well, death and a moderate amount of nudity or difficult subjects which is understandably hard for some people (myself included in some situations- very uncomfortable-making)
That being said here’s my thoughts on the episodes in the first one (being as spoiler free as possible) keep in mind this is just my thoughts post-viewing:
1. Sonnie’s Edge: I fuckin LOVED this, from the animation and design, to the action premise and the little details they give the characters- its understandable why they wanted this episode to go first and its a great introduction. Also I’d say the violence is super purposeful and not out of place. This could be given an entire series and I’d watch it: 10/10.
2. Three Robots: This was on the more family-friendly side of things and also has a great concept! not to mention the facial expressions of the red robot are adorable and its just all around pretty fucking funny. Works well as a short story. On one hand i’d argue THIS should be the first episode but then it may give the audience a misrepresentation of the entire thing so i get why its second. This is probably the closest thing to a pixar short on the list, if pixar short characters could use the fuck word: 10/10
3. The Witness: so concept wise I feel like it was a little lacking, like by the end of the story its obvious but it leaves the viewer wanting more explanation. Like I’m not necessarily one for a writer to hand-hold the audience through concepts, i feel like inference and observations make up a huge aspect of viewer experience but i wanted just a liiitle bit more. Also the uuh nudity was kind of uncomfortable. Regardless it just has to be said THE FUCKING ART STYLE! THE FUCKING ANIMATION! GORGEOUS! UNIQUE! the entire time I was just stunned by the background, the motion, the expressions it was a visual feast. Hands down the most vibrant animation style: 8/10 overall and 12/10 for the art.
4. Suits: This one was... interesting. Kind of hard to find the right words. Good interesting! good premise! the art style was not my favorite, like we were nearing the uncanny valley with the character designs (with the exception one (1) bad ass, mech operating, cigar wielding stone-cold bitch) but the action was very well done. You were invested in what was gonna happen. Well rounded in terms of story telling and a good length!: 8/10
5. Sucker of Souls: Compared to the previous shorts this was certainly different! The animation was simple but very well done, not super flashy but the action was fluid and fast-paced, and the ending was great! reminded me of Castlevania for a few reasons. Entertaining!: 8/10
6. When the Yogurt took over: Animation Style: Noodly. Noodles everywhere which is adorable. This one is also family-friendly, pretty damn funny and a good length. Reminds me of Douglas Adams: 9/10
7. Beyond The Aquila Rift: This one uuuh was not my favorite. Probably my least favorite if we’re being entirely honest. The animation style was kind of motion-capturey like a video game, the content itself was like 50% nudity which was awkward as fuck and the actual good part of the story was there for a brief time and when its not happening its all you can think about. 5/10
8.Good Hunting *Minor Spoilers*: alrighty this one is complicated for me. On one hand, the animation is gorgeous, very traditional 2-d and the beginning premise is quite interesting but there are some things that personally rub me the wrong way, namely the extent to which they show the traumatizing events of the main female character (first of all i dont want to see the assault of someone, let alone her being brutalized and to top it off some guys dick. ) I understand that one of the main themes is the empowerment against those who have wronged her and the very good commentary on imperialist fuckasses but its hard for me to watch this one. On the upside the 'love' part of this 'love death and robots short' is respectfully platonic and caring. Overall, I’m giving it a 6/10.
9.The Dump: Why is this here. It's entirely unspectacular, and is arguably the weakest out of all of these in that it doesn't make you love it or hate it, your just kinda indifferent: 4/10.
10.Shape Shifters: this one was also a little weird. The animation is, once again motion capturey. The premace is actually quite interesting and I think the story itself would work well for a CW show but it's a little weird here. It's less sci-fi and more realistic fantasy but I understand what they were going for. Arguably much better than the last one: 7/10
11. Helping Hand: oof this one was hard to watch in that this specific man vs. circumstance type of story is personally a sub-genre of horror for me. Like any kind of man in the Arctic, nature, ocean or space situation has always been super unsettling for me but that's personal taste. I can honestly see this story alongside very retro space short stories that would be in an anthology next to assimov. Reminds me thematically of the cold equasion, and also pretty fucking graphic. 8/10 for unsettling aspects.
12. Fish Night: first of all, art style is gorgeous, concept is unique and very fantastical. Worth watching, especially if you live in the desert like me! 8.5/10
13. Lucky 13: on one hand: Samira-mother fucken-Wiley. On the other hand, military based sci-fi stories which don't really do it for me, and again we got motion capture: 7/10
14. Zima Blue: THE 👏ART👏IS👏GORGEOUS AND SO IS THE ANIMATION! The premise is super existential and watching was a very enjoyable and kind of thought provoking experience. 9/10
15. Blind Spot: again, the art and design is really amazing and stand out! The premise very contained but well excecuted and I think I recognize the voice actors? I can see this as a series believe it or not. Did I mention the animation? Holy shit hats off to the creators! 8/10
16. Ice Age: Topher Grace is that you? Boy this is akward, seeing as how the last thing I saw you in was Blackkklansman but anyways... Unique premise, unique style of animation and live action, Kind of insightful as to the nature of life. Enjoyable! 8/10
17. Alternate Histories: Animation Style: Noodly Noodly Noodles. Seeing Adolf Hitler get the shit kicked out of him multiple times? Entertaining! 8.5/10
18. Secret War: once again we have a motion captured Military-Sci-Fi short. However out of all three that appear throughout this show, this one's probably the best. Worth Watching! 7.5/10
Overall: This series had it's ups and downs, but as a whole was definitely worth watching and was a wonderful display of the collaborative efforts and skills of animators, artists, directors, designers and so on. Bring On Season 2! Call it hate, life and nature!

Conversation
Reviewing every episode of Love, Death, And Robots
Sonnie's Edge: Pretty good! Has some male gaze-y aspects to it but overall it's fun, stylish, and interesting. Sort of subverts the "rape revenge" story in a good way. Not quite as gay as I was expecting it to be, though. Content Warnings: Discussion of rape, on-screen violence cinematically paralleling rape, lots of blood and gore, female-presenting nipples, death
Three Robots: Probably the funniest and most charming that any of the more comedic episodes get. Has some stinkers of jokes but nothing offensive. Mostly just cute and entertaining.
The Witness: Extremely frustrating. Probably one of the most stylish episodes in terms of its animation, but god is the story weak and uninteresting, and it has by far the most gratuitous sexual aspects of any of the episodes. CW: blood and violence, lots of nudity, death
Suits: Very fun episode that looks and feels like a fun video game. Decent story, nice visuals, and charming characters. CW: Animal death, blood and gore
Sucker of Souls: Kinda fun horror-action pastiche, mostly hindered by its anticlimax ending and varyingly-enjoyable main cast. Nice art, the first 2D animation of the series. CW: Lots of blood, death, and gore, and some nudity
When The Yogurt Took Over: It's...fine. Another comedy episode that gets the occasional sensible chuckle out of me but has some big themes it doesn't have the ability to explore properly, and the art style doesn't do it for me. CW: very brief nudity
Beyond the Aquila Rift: Has some interesting ideas but spends a little too much time on straight sex scenes to explore them. Visuals are mostly pretty boring, except for the climactic appearance of a certain character at the end. CW: sex and nudity, spiders
Good Hunting: One of my absolute faves. Puts the "punk" in steampunk by telling a story about oppression, imperialism, xenophobia, misogyny, and slut-shaming. Sometimes the nudity is gratuitous but most of it at least serves the story in a way. Beautiful 2D animation, too! CW: attempted rape, nudity, sexualized violence/torture, body horror, blood and gore, some racial slurs against Chinese people
The Dump: uggghhhh just boring. Just boring and grimy and unfunny, with the exception of the end I guess. CW: brief nudity, body horror, use of misogynistic and ableist slurs
Shape-Shifters: deeply, INTENSELY boring, moreso than The Dump. I love werewolves but this is among the worst takes on werewolves I've seen. Wants to have some kind of message about racism but botches it completely by having the main characters be white soldiers and the main villains being Taliban terrorist werewolves devoid of any personality or motivation. Only thing that comes close to making it worthwhile is it's really the only instance of male nudity as fanservice and the werewolf fight at the end is decent. CW: blood and gore, depiction of war in Afghanistan, werewolf transformation (could be considered body horror by some)
Helping Hand: Legitimately tense survival story in the vein of 47 Hours or Saw. It wouldn't be wholly accurate to say I enjoyed it because it clearly doesn't want you to enjoy watching this, but it did exactly what it needed to and accomplished it well. CW: very visceral and realistic body horror, the bleak encompassing void of space
Fish Night: One of the most visually beautiful episodes, I would recommend this one purely for the visuals alone. Its story isn't bad, but isn't particularly interesting. It serves the visuals more than anything. CW: deep sea creatures, blood and death
Lucky 13: Fairly run of the mill military sci-fi story, accomplished rather well. I enjoyed it but I could easily see it boring a lot of folks. CW: blood and death, lots of gun stuff
Zima Blue: Probably my absolute favorite episode of the bunch. Zima Blue has gorgeous visuals and by far the most well-told and interesting story of any of these episodes. It's extremely ambitious and lives up to it so well. CW: I honestly can't think of any
Blindspot: This would be a fun little cyberpunk heist story if the characters weren't all completely and utterly devoid of charm. CW: gun stuff, cyborg body horror
Ice Age: The only episode that is mostly not animated but rather live action. A fun and intriguing little magic realism story. CW: animal death
Alternate Histories: ohhhh my godddd boringggggggg its not funnnnnyyyyyy but i mean if you just wanna see cartoon Hitler die a bunch, and I get if you do, I...guess you can check this one out. But. God it's just nothing. Art style's kinda ugly too. CW: death, blood and gore, Hitler and Nazi imagery, nudity and sex
The Secret War: this is just a long cutscene from a video game I would hate if it existed. Real boring. CW: lots of gun stuff, blood and gore, nudity+body horror

How would the romances react to a Main character who has work but won't get out of bed?
Alexander: Physically drags you out of bed; he will not let you neglect your duties or obligations. If you don’t want him to drag you to your job it’s probably best to start getting ready.
Hui Yin: Hahahaha, she’s not getting up either.
Taylor: They try so hard to be gentle and wake you up but if you coax them back into bed with you they’ll easily forget about any responsibilities you might have had.
Kazu: He doesn’t get physical like Alexander but then again he doesn’t need to. After all, it’s hard to sleep when your boyfriend has set up a minimum of ten alarm-clocks around your bedroom. You won’t be sleeping in.
Rania: It’s essentially a roulette wheel with Rania; there are days where she’s openly supportive of you sleeping in and there are days where she will, quite literally, set a fire beneath your bed to get you up and going to work. Proceed with caution.
Desmond: Is totally fine if you decide to sleep in; after all, he can always pay for you and your needs if need be.
Aquila: Inwardly she’s screaming and outwardly...well, she’s not screaming but she’s getting pretty close the longer you stay in bed. May or may not resort to bribing Caleb into jumping on you until you get up.
Amaterasu: Um, no? You are her Hero you will not neglect your duties? Most likely to dump a cup of water on you if you stay in bed too long.
Raphael: He’s so torn because part of him wants to stay in bed with you all day but the other part knows how important your job is to being independent. There’s a 60% chance he’ll let you sleep in.
Mercury: On one hand, more time in bed means time for his favorite recreational activity wink wink on the other hand...you do all of his paperwork. It boils down to how much work Mercury is willing to do that day and how how sated he is in the ah, romance department.
Hemera: She immediately assumes you’re just not feeling well so of course she’s not going to make you get up; in fact, nobody better bother you or else they’ll be answering to her.
Guanyin: That’s fine! They’re happy to let you sleep in and one of their dragons will most definitely stay cuddled with you as they get up and go about their day. As long as it doesn’t become a habit, they don’t mind letting you sleep in and play hooky every once and awhile.
Horus: A bit like Hemera in that he thinks you’re unwell; unlike Hemera, he doesn’t just let you sleep. You’re woken up to at least three healing deities standing over you, completely exasperated as Horus swears that something is wrong with his Hero and no Apollo check again I don’t care if you say they’re just sleepy chECK AGAIN.
Nero: Gets angry because he can’t sleep in so, like the bitter bean he is, makes sure you’re not sleeping either. As consolation he’ll pay for your coffee that morning...probably. As long as you don’t give him a lot of fuss as you get up.
Nadia: Most likely to try to go to your job and fill in for you...she doesn’t understand how mortal realm jobs work and that it isn’t like getting a job in the Divine Realms where they can just find replacements when need be. Honestly, save yourself the trouble and just go to work. She’ll probably get you fired on accident if you don’t.
Anthony: He knows how you feel, really, he does. He spends way too much time gaming into the early hours of the morning and some days he’s only running on two hours of sleep but...you can’t just slack off. He tries to give you as much time as possible, going around and getting your uniform out (if you have one) and making you breakfast and just generally tries to make your morning as easy as possible. If you still aren’t up...he’s getting Alexander to come help him.
Loren: Just...rips the blankets off you. No mercy, no sympathy. She makes you breakfast though because she feels bad after seeing how tired you are.
Luis: He’d actually prefer you lose your job so that you’re totally reliant on him for funds, so that he can fully take care of you and bring you further into his fold. Of course he’s not waking you up.
Aurora: She won’t tolerate this; she wakes you up to tell you she can’t waste her time with someone who has no drive and if you aren’t taking simple mortal responsibilities seriously well...She’ll leave you with that implication and let you choose what you do that day.
