AMP x Harry Potter [Alternate Universe]

Fanum!HP au where Fanum's broken his wand five times by the time he's left Hogwarts, and Ollivander and him are practically friends once he's graduated. Ollivander's never been particularly close to any students, but was honoured to have Fanum as an apprentice post-Hogwarts, and even went on to be Ollivander's successor in selling wands. 

Duke Dennis!HP au where Duke's the Ilvermorny transfer in fifth year with the legato voice, southern accent and laid-back intonation that has all the Hogwarts girlies fawning and oftentimes following him down to the pitches to watch him play. His style of Quidditch is so different and it takes time to integrate him into the team, but he's dangerous weapon once he's been conditioned. 

Kai Cenat!HP au where Kai tried to use a spell that'd make him taller for the Yule ball, but instead accidentally swelled his ankles to the size of bludgers - giving himself six more inches of height, but also 6 more inches of bone, ligament and flesh around his ankle. He managed to persuade his crush two years above to go with him though, and she was already a couple inches taller than him - so instead of going to the hospital wing and getting his ankles shrunk? He just used a spell to lengthen his robes so that they'd cover his ankles, and prayed that his date knew how to dance and wasn't gonna accidentally hit his swollen (and slightly sensitive) ankles

Agent!HP au where he's best friends with Fanum and Kai, and they all follow Duke around when he first arrives - watching the tall transfer from a distance, and hissing seemingly-betrayed and heart-broken comments at one another as they watch the girls from their house (even the shy ones that'd never spoken a word to either of them) find Duke in the library and talk to him, or slow their pace down to just so happen to bump into Duke and walk with him to their next lesson!  Agent was the first to have a lession with Duke - sitting besides him in potions and being partners with one another. And Agent found out pretty soon that Duke was kinda stupid, with the way he scratched the back of his head, licking his lips and looking across at Agent with a completely perplexed expression - practically begging for his assistance. But through the lessons with the Duke, Agent realised that the meathead wasn't all that bad, and was actually kinda fun company - becoming Duke's first actual friend (not follower) within Hogwarts, and even further introducing Duke to Kai and Fanum and sharing a dorm altogether.

iShowSpeed!HP au where Speed hides behind the knights and will scare all the ghosts in the castle by barking every so often, literally terrorising Nearly Headless Nick, the Fat Friar, the Bloody Baron - but never the Grey Lady of Ravenclaw - he's actually surprisingly a gent to her, only being polite and respectful for her and surprisingly being the only student in Hogwarts who the Grey Lady will walk and sincerely talk with. As for the rest of the ghosts who report the behaviour to filch? Speed's too quick - he quite literally just runs back to his common room, and no matter where he is in the school - he's always so quick that he manages to outrun Filch back to his dorm where he's protected

I have a full spread sheet of animes I watch and their voice actors so when I watch something and someone sounds familiar I can cross reference to see who it is and where I know them from

when it comes to Wind Breaker characters in the dub (yes I am a dub girly, I take no criticism) I have some hopes/opinions on who should play a few people once they’re introduced to the anime

I feel like, if he does his voice similar to how he does it as Osamu in the Haikyuu dub, Daman Mills could voice Ren Kaji

he also voices Wirth Madi in Mashle, Legato Bluesummers in Trigun Stampede, Cherry in SK8 the Infinity, Shintaro Midorima in Kuroko’s Basketball, as well as plenty of others

One of the most important things Nightow did to develop his plot (read: psychologically fuck up the twins) was create isolation between Kni and Vash with the rest of humankind early in their lives. Specifically talking about how in Stampede and the manga the vast majority of humanity appear frozen.

We see in both how Vash clearly wants connection (Stampede he's literally naming them [using their real names?? unsure] and talking to them) but Kni's full background wasn't explored with as much depth in Stampede (read: not a criticism of Stampede, she's only 12 eps long 🤣🤣 and I love herrrrrr she can do no wrong in my eyes).

But looking at Kni's background, especially in the manga?? Like damn bro lol Kni is basing his entire world view off of like four people for 100+ years essentially (confirmation bias is a powerful drug my friends) meanwhile I can’t help but think of all the people I know IRL that - even the non-anime watchers - who would meet someone like Kni and be like "you’re under our protection now; our rate is one hug per hour. Would you like to pay up front or create a payment plan? Also, here’s a list of recommended local mental health professionals. No shame in the game; we’re all mad here.”

Both as a joke and partially serious like… I just imagine the girlies on TikTok telling Kni he's fucking awesome, he just needs to meet more people, diversify his experiences, and check in with the squad/friendship-board of directors before acting when he gets upset 🤣🤣

I think the brilliance and horror behind Kni's character portrayal is how he forces you to question what is true "evil" and the juxtaposition with Legato and other characters is amazingggg. Like, reasonable people can conclude Kni's not truly evil and the most controversial part of him (and, conversely, Vash's pacifism) is how you can see and know people like Kni IRL and still love/defend them just as Vash does, but the moment you see another do the same you see the morally grey spots and flaws in your own actions. Kni's actions may be perceived as evil but the moment you divorce his actions from his mental processes he’s really just misguided, afraid, and so deep in a hole of his own making he can't see anything else.

Y’all have already (correctly imo) pointed out Kni isn’t Vash’s true foil in Trigun (he's more of a mirror), I just think it bears emphasizing that Kni and Vash are both so intolerably human in so many ways while both thinking themselves so different from humans. Which, I get is the entire point of fiction here but 🤣🤣

I just think it's real neat, okay?!?! I love that the twins aren't real foils to each other but one is a mass murderer for a cause and the other is so starkly pacifistic that he refuses to be "logical" and kill the killer.

This started as a small thought... and got out of hand. OH WELL LOL might expand more on it later but that's all for now ✌️✌️

Livio and Wolfwood are kinda like Jesse n James//Butch n Cassidy but also kinda not?? {platonically, ofc, they are brothers} they’re more like an undercover version

I’m tempted to make character profiles for this like i did with my Spiderverse AU, so i can show off all their teams and how they got them {like how Wolfwood also has a Cofagrigus, and Legato has a Leavanny}

I'm an 160cm thin girl (20 y/o) with long brown curly hair and blue eyes, kinda look like merida from brave if that helps, enfp

I'm a lot like 98' vash (my biggest ever kin fr), goofing around and having fun, making dirty jokes with my friends, very clumsy and bubbly when in good mood, tho i don't shy away from being tough from time to time

I'm friendly and like meeting new people but keeping connections is my biggest flaw. I mostly keep it going with the ones i click with

I love being around people, but don't mind being alone for some periods of time, reading, watching something, drawing or doing whatever hobby i picked on

I'm an archeology student, have passion for history and literature, love psychology and philosophy, love things like true crime and paranormal stories, definitely would like to travel and see what the world and people have to offer. I'm the "do it for the plot" type of person, getting into random situations for the sake of seeing how it'll end and if i'll have a story in the end

When i was younger i was more like some kind of vash-milly combo, but now I'm more aware of people, i can't stand when someone is judgy from the beggining, when someone is too negative about the world and people, because even tho i myself get disappointed in people often, i still think that we should look for positive things in everyday life. Kind of "if life has no meaning, might as well find meaning in small things"

For trigun 98, I most definitely match you up with Wolfwood! You are just that little ray of sunshine he needs to keep going. Plus, he loves that you and him make sex jokes to each other about everything that you can. You two get kidnapped and held by Knives? Non-stop dick jokes. At first you try to at least mutter them under your breath, but soon enough you're both just spouting them out as fast as you can think of them. Knives is just standing there in shock that you can think of so many in a short amount of time. I also think you two would be like, surprisingly close beforehand. He a big cuddler too (have you fucking seen those titties MMMMM) and I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL BUT WOLFWOOD IS TERRIFIED OF GHOSTS!!! Yall go ghost hunting and he is ATTACHED TO YOU LIKE NO OTHER. Homie is throwing round the holy water like he's a raincloud. You one day dig up and old book and are pretty sure that its haunted? He's hiding being his giant cross and shaking in his tight ass pants.

In trigun stampede however, Vash latches onto you like white on rice. You are exactly what this poor bean needs in his life!!!! You teach him to appreciate the little things, and show him that he's allowed to have wants and needs. He enjoys taking you around old crashed spaceships and letting you go wild with the archeological zoomies. In this universe, you also get kidnaped by Knives so Vash follows to come and save you and once again, you make so many dick jokes. The only difference is that Stampede Knives has never seen a wiener in his LIFE and doesn't get any joke you make. Do with this information what you will. Vash also really likes showing you his Plant siblings when his spilled the alien beans. You'd probably enjoy just quietly hanging with the Plant girlies because they just watch you draw or read or they nap! they are very nice when you need to recharge a social battery but don't want to be completely alone. Vash is also a big cuddler and understands having trouble keeping connections with people!! He's always moving so he gets sad thinking about all the people he wanted to grow closer too.

If we wanted to hit up the manga, then id actually pair you with Legato! I think you'd be just the right person to help him let himself be a better and softer person. Your love of psychology would really interest him, and I think you'd be that enemies-to tolerated-to friends-to lovers thing. He also likes learning about humans and the past, and I think that's he would really appreciate you showing him to good side of humanity through psychology and even true crime by showing how people come together and how people react to catastrophe and stress. He needs to see people doing good things, and you are just the person to show him around the world and prove it to him

How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Pretty Easy.  She’s generally laid back and happy most of the time, so it’s easy to get her to laugh.  

How easy is it to earn their trust?

She can be a bit naive about people so she’s too trusting of people.  Her parents always made the important decisions in her life before she ran away.  So she’s always trusted the opinions of others more than she ought to.

How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Burn her one time is all it takes.  Easy to gain her trust and even easier to lose it.  She’s not one to forget about things that piss her off.

How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?

She pretends to understand most of the time.  She’s too prideful to ask for help most of the time.  Then when she messes things up, it becomes clear that she doesn’t know what she’s doing.  

What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

I, uh, already answered this one.  OOF

She thinks she looks best in black and she likes to match her sword.  I’d say she looks better in browns and greens.

How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first? 

Minori just says whatever is on her mind.  It can sometimes cause problems and she’ll later regret what she says.  Unless she is around her parents or some of their close colleagues.  She’s then very guarded about what she says and doesn’t say.

Are they easily embarrassed?

No.  Except for some occasions around Legato, she is rarely embarrassed.

What embarrasses them?

Wew.  Kind of typical girly stuff about her crush.   Saying things around Legato that she instantly regrets saying if he disagrees with it.  Accidentally brushing up against him.  Having Legato accidentally walk in on her after taking a bath…

If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

“Familial love is the kind of love you have with your family.  That’s kind of self-explanatory.  Platonic love is the kinda of love that, um, I don’t know.  Romantic love is love between two people that doesn’t make any damn sense.  Let’s, uh, talk about something else.”

How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)?

Possessive af.  She also gets angry and moody.

Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?

At first, no.  Its embarrassing.  But they longer she travels with Legato, the more hints she tries to drop and she becomes more open to talking to him about it.

What are their thoughts on marriage?

Son, I answered this one toooo.

Well, she ran away from her arranged marriage that her dad was trying to force upon her.  So, after that experience she was turned off from the idea.  She didn’t like the idea of being forced into it and she felt like she was going to be trapped with someone.  However, the longer she travels with Legato the more she has begun to entertain the thought of it.

What causes them to feel dread?

Omg you picked everything that Gote asked.  

The thought of being trapped into a marriage she didn’t want and being yet another one of her father’s pawns in his quest for power, fame, and fortune really upsets her.  Causing her the most dread currently is the thought of losing Legato, whether it be from injury or from him growing tired of her.

Who are they the most glad to have met?

Legato, of course.  After him, probably her brother, Vaden.

How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?

She tries to be supportive and excited.  She doesn’t have a lot of people she’d consider friends (mostly just Legato and Narita) so she wants to support them and be as close as possible.

Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap?

She’s never actively looked for someone.  She did actively run away from someone.  Legato just kind of happened to be a guy to ferry across a river.

How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?

Depends on the flaw for her.  She can be pretty shallow and superficial and complain about people’s looks.  ”I don’t know how people think she’s pretty,  She’s got a really big nose.”  But other things like a person with a speech tick or someone’s disability, she’s as helpful as she can be.  Personality flaws are something she tries to be helpful or mindful of, as well.  After all, she has to deal with Legato’s anger issues.  

How sensitive are they to their own flaws?

Wew.  Very.  Call her out on her bullshit and she either cries or gets angry or snippy.  If it’s about her spending habits, she either turns on the waterworks (worked for mommy and daddy, at least!), gets mad, or tries to divert the subject as suspiciously as possibly.
