I have been receiving requests for any songs that inspired Replica, so here, have my personal playlist. Sorry it’s not Spotify/Soundcloud but they don’t have some of these songs available so uh… guess you’re stuck with YouTube vids. For fun I'll include my personal titles for them (which might give a few hints of what to expect in the future/end).

I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.

I will continue to add to this playlist, and will note in comic updates when one of these songs is applicable!

Disaster Twins Karaoke Battle (alt title: Getting Hyped for the Next Lair Games)

These sketches are old, but I couldn't let National TMNT Day pass without showing my appreciation in some way. I drew these some months ago, while listening to the song Stalemate from the Death Note musical yes, that's a thing, go check it out on loop, and forgot to post them. The song is a bop and I could so easily see the twins loving it, and loving to perform it even more. Massive theatre nerds, the both of them, no one can convince me otherwise.

(In my mind, Leo is singing Jeremy's part and Donnie is singing Jarrod's, but it's interchangeable.)

Sam's mom is trying to be supportive but the song lyrics are...a choice. Anyway, I always find it crazy when people say they don't like Leo's design, I think it's just up to how you draw it Also, if you read Humming a tune, this bridges together pretty well!

I'd like to think Atsuko used to sing this to young Splinter to sleep or to calm him down. So once he had kids of his own he began singing this song from his memories as well.

Later on when he became more depressed and spent less and less time with his kids, Raph began to sing it instead (I'd feel like Raph would remember things that felt extremely important to him, hence why.)

And once Splinter began getting more involved with his children again, and especially after the events of the movie, they sang the song together to their family.
