Sometimes in my little enclave of hardwon comfort here online, I allow myself to forget just how Whiteness is Omnipresent in society, but then you watch a twee romcom about a fire in love with a drop of water and you're stuck REELING for days because everyone in the tags is the WHITEST MOTHERFUCKER ON EARTH and like okay it's your life have your joy I'm not going to say you're bad people for having fun but OH my GOD was this movie EVER made for white people to feel good about how they aren't Real Racists.

I mean for FUCK'S SAKES what was even the POINT of the entire Gale character if not to be a stand in for white people to be absolved of their violence.

Stretch simple dough thinly over a small-sized metal pan.

Lay down a base of olive oil. Rub minced garlic on top of your oil.

I just watched Never Have I Ever on netflix, it was lowkey so good. I'm loving this trend of shows that seem kinda like, cheezy high school romcom at first, but get really real as the show goes on. It had me BAWLING

Who would win tickle wars:

Rey, because she plays DIRTY. She knows EXACTLY where Ben’s most ticklish places are and she WILL exploit them if need be. His neck? Fair game. Under the arms? You bet she’ll go there. Behind the knees? BOY YOU IN DANGER. Conversely Kylo has also figured out where Rey is most ticklish by now but he only takes advantage of it whenever she least expects it because he’s SUCH A JERK UGH :P

Who would draw pictures of the other in their sketchbook:

Kylo, absolutely. Especially now that there’s canon confirmation that Ben has at least some artistic talent I love the idea that he still does that as a hobby even now??? Like he would NOT be able to get the image of Rey out of his mind so he ends up drawing her without even realizing what he’s doing at first; just lost in the curve of her mouth and the way her hair frames her face and the intensity in her eyes and WAIT WHAT IN KRIFF’S NAME IS HE DOING and he flips the page over and shoves it in a desk drawer somewhere all stubborn-like

Rey!! She’s been so starved for affection her entire life that she would be affectionate as HELL. I also think for these two hand touches would be A THING and Ben just about melts every time it’s the fastest way to get him to relax or calm down

Rey for the most part, DEFINITELY more often :P Kylo will be doing his dark, angsty, grumpus thing and all it takes is a kiss on the cheek from Rey and he turns into a sputtering, blushing MESS. He saves his own cheek kisses for the really really important moments when it’s just the two of them and he’s allowing himself to be tender and gentle the way he wants to be with her

Who would start a snowball fight:

EITHER ONE OF THEM TBH THEY ARE BOTH LITTLE SHITS. And believe me you do not want to get into a snowball fight with a Force user LET ALONE TWO OF THEM WHO ARE AS POWERFUL AS THESE TWO. They would be so damn extra about it too, Rey summoning up a giant ass snowball bigger than her head, meanwhile Kylo has got like twenty snowballs hovering over his head ready to strike and they’re chasing each other around shrieking and hollering until they collapse into a pile in the snow laughing and kissing and not even caring about the cold

Who would slip the most on a date to go ice skating:

Rey has spent her entire life in a desert climate, she would have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT TO DO on ice skates :P I can see Ben being the one to steady her, albeit maybe using the Force to cheat just a little

Who leaves letter in the others locker:

You know that one text post? The one where the person had a crush on a girl and didn’t know how to deal with it so they just wrote her a note that says “get out of my school?” THAT’S KYLO.

Who would bring lunch to school/work for the other:

This could absolutely go either way tbh because both of them get so involved with what they’re doing they can sometimes forget to eat, but with Rey she spent her formative years LITERALLY STARVING so she never misses a meal anymore if she can help it :P And she will BEND OVER BACKWARDS to make sure Ben doesn’t miss any either

Who would want cuddle at the movie theater date:

REY WOULD BE SO SNUGGLY HOLY SHIT. I mean it depends what type of movie they’re watching cause I can see her getting SUPER invested and just munching away at her popcorn like crazy if things are super intense, but if it’s a mushy romcom or a sweeping drama piece she’s more apt to put her head on Ben’s shoulder which absolutely makes him smile (though it’s dark and no one will ever be able to prove it :P)

Who would buy cheezy cliche gifts for each other on holidays:

Oh my God with these two holidays would be A WAR to see who can spoil the other the most because THAT IS HOW EXTRA THEY BOTH ARE. Like Ben is the type of person who claims to HATE gifts and attention and people going out of their way to get him stuff and Rey is just like ‘DUDE NAH YOU DESERVE TO HAVE NICE THINGS YOU WILL RECEIVE THE NICE THING AND BE HAPPY ABOUT IT’ and of course he is genuinely really touched whenever someone does show they care about him enough to get him a thoughtful gift :3 And Rey has never??? had that before???? and Ben is like ‘bruh forget how I feel about the holidays YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING I’M GOING TO DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO MAKE UP FOR HOW SHITTY YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN’ and as much as Rey is like ‘you absolutely do not have to do that it’s okay I’m fine it’s fine!!!!’ she really appreciates it SO MUCH IT MAKES HER REALLY HAPPY

Who would start an argument about what color curtains they should have at home:

I just have the funniest image in my head of Kylo’s EXTRA GOTH ASS wanting everything in their house to be black and Rey is just exasperated like “BEN NO” and inevitably they end up settling on adding some grey in there :P

Who would remember their anniversary:

Both of them but like neither one would say anything about it very much in the time leading up to it because they would both be trying to surprise the other when the day finally comes :P And of course like the minute they wake up on the morning of their anniversary they’re IMMEDIATELY rolling over to wish each other happy anniversary almost in tandem and laughing at each other when they realize they’ve both done almost exactly the same thing and cuddling and kissing and welp we had plans today didn’t we well we can put those off for an hour can’t we

Who would blurt out how much they love the other in front of people:

If anything the hilarity would be from these two trying so hard NOT to say anything about their relationship at first when OH MY GOD THEY’RE BOTH ABOUT TO BURST WITH HOW IN LOVE THEY ARE, but once everything is inevitably out in the open I really do think it would be Ben who is like “yes that’s my WIFE she is AMAZING and I ADORE her” whenever the opportunity arises; with Rey it’s more like Finn and Rose and Poe all playfully tease her about Ben and she’s like “omg you guys STAHP IT”

Who would offer to wash the others back in the shower:

They both do but more often it’s Rey who has to help Kylo wash that BROAD AS HELL BACK OF HIS :P And then everyone wins because once she’s done she usually ends up leaning against his back hugging him from behind and just enjoying their closeness and inevitably he’ll turn around to kiss her and things just go downhill from there really

Who would post up statuses about the other on facebook:

I don’t see either one of them being major Facebook users, like they’ll message each other back and forth on it but wouldn’t use it for much outside of that. However Rey has Instagram and she posts TONS of adorable selfies of the two of them together, or pictures taken in secret while Ben isn’t paying attention

Who would have the others picture as their phone background:

Rey has this adorable picture she managed to catch of Ben laughing when he finally caught her taking goofy-face selfies (most of which with him in the background totally oblivious with his resting bitch face), a split second before he tried to take her phone and ended up kissing her

Ben has one of Rey’s old profile pictures; one of her outside in the rain with the biggest beaming smile, flyaway hairs sticking to her face in places. He’s constantly so blown away by how beautiful and vibrant she is and he’s baffled that he’s even allowed to be anywhere near her

Who would take pictures of the other while they’re sleeping:

REY OH MY GOD REY. Kylo rarely if ever takes pictures of Rey in any context where she’s not aware of it, he just feels too creepy about it; Rey however needs to immortalize EVERYTHING and she loves those moments when Ben is truly peaceful or happy and wants to capture them.

Who says I love you:

The dynamic here is absolutely similar to Newt and Credence I think; in that Rey tells Kylo she loves him like ALL THE TIME like she thinks he’s gonna forget and needs a reminder :P And Ben is the one who saves his ‘I love you’s for the moments where they’re really tender and meaningful; though whenever she says it to him he always says it back :3
