Fifth Year Ominis is too caught up in Sebastian’s bullshit to notice if he was going too far. He clings to any niceties afforded to him. You need help finding your class? Sure you can hold onto his arm. You’re aching from the Crucio ordeal? You can lean against him and have a nap with him. You become his coping method of losing Anne and Sebastian. He can forgive himself for opening up a little too much…he’s gone through a lot.

Sixth Year Ominis is straight denial. No they’ve always been this close they had to be because of Sebastian. Not that anyone else knows that. You just showed up and you’ve both been inseparable ever since. You’re just very good friends.

Seventh Year Ominis is determined, will stop at nothing until Evelyn is his (See Blindsided for evidence!!!)

Can touch his wand to things to see colour. Found out after he fell into Sebastian one time and jabbed him in the ribs. The Olive green of his waistcoat flashed across his eyes. Only discovered it that late in his life because by the time he’d gotten his wand he’d already become estranged from his family so kept away from them.

Has advanced Proprioception, the sense of knowing where your body is in relation to it parts. It extends to people around him so when he’s sat with his friends he doesn’t always need to have his wand out to know if they’re moving around. His wand extends and enhances it

His favourite subject is Defence Against the Dark Arts. He’s ridiculously good at it. I’ve wrote about good of a duelist I think he is here but I think it extends past that. He’s overheard so much at home he knows how to combat a lot of it. Good knowledge of curse both Unforgivable and otherwise. Probably caused a lot of tension in fifth year between him and Seb. Contributing factor to their iffy relationship because let’s face it they don’t really act like best friends.

Was an UNREAL seeker in third year. Won every match because he could hear the snitch from across the pitch. Imelda banned him after matches ended too quickly. Was completely unbothered, only joined because Seb begged him to

Tallest of the boys but doesn’t look it due to his posture being awful (Seriously why does he slouch so badly) (Does mean when he fully stands up he’s HELLA TALL)

Has little crescent moon shaped scars along his palm from clenching his fists in his sleep.

Really good friends with Garreth. I’ve wrote so much for those two I just can’t help it. He reminds him of Sebastian before his sister was cursed.

Has a really good relationship with Hecat. She told him stories in First Year about Professor Black from back in Hogwarts so he wouldn’t be scared of him telling his parents things. Probably why he’s not scared to talk to him.

Only speaks Parseltongue when he can’t control himself. When he’s angry, or in Pain or…other times 👀

Nicknames

Only uses terms of endearment as an insult. King of the ‘Oh Sweetheart’ in a smarmy way…still kinda hot

I don’t imagine he calls anyone by anything other than their full name. Sebastian is always Sebastian Never Seb.

Except Evelyn, she is everything but her full name. Unless he’s mad at her. Eve, Ev, V, Evie.

All the cousins are besties, but Artemis is closer to Aura and Apollo is closer to Hecate. Artemis and Aura hunt together all the time, and Apollo researches magic practices a lot (God of knowledge and all that) so the two of them have fun experimenting with mystic stuff.

Asteria, Lelantos, and Leto were very close growing up, but the titanomachy put them all on different paths. They all still care for each other deeply, but scars from the past hold them back from being truly close. Recently, Asteria and Leto have been reconnecting, but Lelantos is still reluctant. 

Also because of the Titanomachy, the three siblings have various levels of strained relationships with their parents. Asteria sees her parents most favorably, and she and Leto are still regularly in contact with their mother. Leto holds a grudge against their father, and Lelantos doesn't speak with either of them. 

All of the third generation (Hecate, Aura, Apollo, Artemis) love their parents so fucking much (minus Zeus, of course) And not only that, they love each other’s parents too!! Hecate thinks Leto is the most kickass coolest aunt she could ever have! Artemis looks up to Perses like nobody's business! If Lelantos didn’t exist, Aura would ask Asteria to adopt her! And of course I have my little post-toa hc that Apollo and Lelantos become v close and wholesome and I love this family. 

Phoibe loves to brag on her kids and grandkids. Specifically, she loves to brag on the twins. See, Phoibe is not a fan of Olympus, or gods, in general. So to her, Apollo and Artemis are the only redeeming qualities of the immortal world today. So whenever something good comes out of Olympus, Phoibe is like “Well of course that was 100% because of my grandchildren. They get it all from their mother you know, nothing from that nasty child of Kronos. Oh how glorious, and you don’t see any of the godly children becoming the rulers of the sun and moon hmmm? Exactly.” 

Also according to her Apollo and Artemis are honorary titans. 

Koios hasn’t been able to interact with his grandchildren much, but he’s just as proud of them as Phoibe is, just in a … less wholesome way. Mans is certain he can convince his grandkids to retake Olympus for titan glory, which is never gonna happen. Whenever he brings it up the rest of the family just smile and nod awkwardly. 

Bonus: A little blurb about Leto I wrote about a month ago

During the titanomachy, Leto stayed on Hyperborea with her mother. She shored the defenses and kept the other titans alive. Leto had no exceptional healing or magical abilities, but she worked tirelessly and kept her heart open. She cared easily and earnestly. She fought to get her brother out of trouble with the gods after the fight ended, though she could not do the same for her parents. For years, it was just the two of them, until Leto met Zeus.

Zeus was everything Leto wanted to be. He was confident and assured, and so kind with her. They sang and danced and spoke about everything, and Leto did what she could to soothe his fears. When she get pregnant, Zeus was overjoyed. However, after the twins were born, he became colder and distant.

Leto was basically abandoned, her children taken to Olympus and her lover rebuffing any attempts at being close. She resolved to make a place for her family to return to, but they came less and less. Now Leto keeps her hearth steady, as she has for her whole life, wishing desperately that someone would stop drifting away, and come back to her. In her solitude and grief, she doesn't even realize that the earth itself will set down roots if she only asked, just as it had before.

(okay this got like a lil longer than expected so it's under the cut)

Eudora scoffed. “When have I ever—” She took another calming breath and returned to packing things away, she packed some things that definitely weren’t hers but neither of them were going to comment on it. 

There's 2 things I wanna comment in here: the first is Eudora is just casually committing theft we love her, the second is that I'm not 100 percent sure what Eudora's motivation behind this is, I'm torn between her being distracted and not remembering which things belong to her or Hecate because for a while that distinction hasn't really mattered to her or if she just wants something to remember the happy time by and not just all the terrible things that have happened

 She looked longingly at one of the toys they both knew Eudora had made for one of the kids before hiding it in her bag behind piles of clothes. “We were supposed to be partners.”

I'm letting past me explain my feelings on this

No but seriously I don't know what demon possessed me because I never usually get that sad about romance but this got me. And it's just the dynamic of them loving each other but Eudora is just a constant give and give and give and she never takes because she doesn't think of herself and what she wants and Hecate not knowing if she'll end up pushing Eudora away but she ends up doing so anyway ahjdfshjhlgdslfdfj. They make me ill

Hecate so desperately wanted to say that they still could be, that there was a future for them, that it hadn’t been ruined. But they had both been present for their argument, they had both heard the things said, they both knew both sides had meant it and they were both too prideful to take anything back. “Go on,” Eudora said. “Say what you’ve been wanting to say for the past hour, day, week since we both knew this wasn’t working. Say that I’m being completely irrational, that we can still fix this, that neither of us need to change. That you don’t need to be better because you are fine just the way you are.”

There's just something about Eudora echoing Hecate's thoughts that just scratches an itch in my brain, like yesss you know this person so well including while you're fighting so you end up using all that you know about them against them

Also, not including the fight was kinda intentional because I'm a big fan of seeing the result of things and being left to draw your own conclusions, the fight isn't hte imprtant thing, it's how much it messes them up. There's an edit of isat that does this really well. If I were to describe my idea, I think it would be like that final bridge of dogbird (when the bell rings/ my mouth waters/I'm a habit/that won't alter etc etc)

“Well,” Hecate watched her tie the string around the button on her bag, holding it closed, she picked it up and looked out the window, it was almost morning by now and Hecate was sure they were both having the same thought: that, on any normal day Eudora would’ve been sleeping in this very room, exhausted from how hard she was working and, up until two days ago, Hecate would’ve been right beside her. She walked over to Hecate and placed a hand on her shoulder, “I want you to be better, not for me, but for yourself, because I can see that this,” She gestured to all of Hecate, which felt just a little rude, “isn’t good for you. I wish there was a world where I could be there with you while you do but I… can’t stay here anymore. It’s better for the both of us, I think so anyways”

She walked to the door, “Congratulations on the new job.” was the last thing Hecate said to her. “Thank you, I hope you find something better too.” And Eudora closed the door behind her.

I wasn't joking when i say writing this made me fall in love with her. If Rick won't write her as anything other than a joke character, I will. In this scene she's not only trying to convince Hecate that her leaving is best, she's trying to convince herself. She knows that staying wouldn't be good for her but it is in her nature to help people, especially those she loves, and she wants so badly to be there but she can't. And you can tell she still does love Hecate and that's honestly the saddest part of it, they both love each other but they just couldn't stay together just because of the types of people they were not being good for each other and it's not either of their faults it's just how it turned out.

what are you currently studying or practicing magicwise, or your most recent study/practice?

Oooooo a great one.

I study literally epithets of Diana is a massive part of my practice rn. Cuz shes so much of the world to me? I see her as having influence over the Heavens (as heavenly diana/she of the moon), all the Earth/Sea (in her huntress epithet and proserpine epithets), and the underworld (again through Proserpine and Hecate) Shes a protector of women and those who need shelter. Shes also Diana triformis, so to me the Hunt, the Moon, and the Underworld. And I see Proserpine, Hecate, Luna, and Mary as related to her/epithets of her. All in all she keeps me busy, especially bc im looking at connecting to Italian and Sicilian heritage rn, as well as some prayer practices im trying to build. :)

I also study Heathenry through Loki and Freya, though this is also looking a bit like a chaos magic path for me :)

We're working a bit on Hellenism but I dont feel like I've learned enough to confidently talk too much about this part of my path yet its pretty new.

And the Ocean and Her deities/entities have a massive place in my practice& heart.

Outside deity/divine, im studying divination (tarot n runes) Spirit work (if anyone has good familiar sources pls lemme know) and home/hearth magic. I dabble in the poison path, herbalism, death, moon, ocean, and knot magic! I dont know if theres a word for spinning wool into yarn and using that as a form of creation magic, but I do that too!

Here’s part 2 of my reactions. Spoilers for wottg obviously.

I don’t mind that Percy isn’t muscular. However, Rick’s reasoning for why Percy doesn’t have muscles is insufficient. I’m convinced Rick has never seen a swimmer because they do, in fact, have muscles. Swimming is an incredibly demanding sport, and swimmers tend to have incredible upper body and core strength. If Percy is a swimmer, then he should have, at the very least, descent upper body and core strength. Also, Percy is a swordsman. Wielding a sword takes upper body strength, and Percy is a great swordsman. Idk, it’s just obvious that Rick isn’t thinking of the consequences of all the physically demanding things Percy has been doing since he’s been 12.

I do like this. Percy being able to control potions is right up my alley, but I fear Rick is a little too cavalier about this considering the trauma of Percy controlling poison in tartarus

Maybe she’s having a flashback to when Percy controlled poison and tortured a goddess, just a thought (though I know Rick wasn’t thinking that while writing)

I wish I had counted how many times Percy was said to be or alluded to be dumb throughout wottg

Daily reminder that attending NRU together was actually Percy’s idea. Granted, that doesn’t mean Annabeth can’t take their grad plans seriously, but it does seem like Percy is just tagging along

Contrary what wottg wants you to think, Annabeth has a history of giving Percy the credit that he deserves. But it is nice that Percy’s ability to read and connect with people is acknowledged

I feel like this is something we should talk about more. It definitely has its roots in ADHD, but it also might have some roots as a trauma response, considering that Percy didn’t have a great childhood

Wrong! Clovis is the son of Hypnos. How did Rick or his editor not catch this? Also this is such a weird combination of demigods to be invited to the Halloween party. I would have liked to see demigods that actually have an established friendship with Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. I’m glad Connor is there, but it would have been nice if other known friends were present. Clarisse would have been nice. At least one of the seven would have been good.

Okay, buckle up my friends because this is going to be a very confusing, unnecessary, and bizarre trip.

Imagine this. Act I of a hypotetical RotBTD (and more!) PJO!AU.

You know how halfbloods have prophetic dreams or dreams about their past? One day, these dreams get out of control. Demigods at Camp Half-Blood keep having nightmares that sometimes become true, sometimes don't. Of course everyone is freaking out

Because a halfblood's life is never easy, Morpheus/Sandman, the god of dreams who could possibly help them with the problem, disappears

This is where our heroes, Merida, Jack, Rapunzel and Hiccup, get involved: they are assigned a quest to find him and a nice personalized prophecy which mentions The Big Four demigods who will defeat evil (yes I am that subtle)

(I'm still figuring out their backgrounds, so I can't give more details about the Four, sorryyy)

During their journey, we find out that behind the nightmare apocalypse there are Phobos and Deimos (Pitch Black and maybe Drago?), minor gods who want to make the halfbloods powerless so they can't fight for/with their parents anymore

Yadda yadda, character development happens, the four become besties, they beat the bad guys, no more nightmares, you know the drill. The gods even start claiming basically everyone who wasn't, minor gods included. And they lived happily ever after-

EXCEPT. The four (now officially nicknamed The Big Four) are the only people who heard the full prophecy, and they know that the last lines still haven't come true. Cue dramatic cliffhanger

Act II!

Camp Half-Blood is going through a great period: there have never been so many kids and even if the gods don't talk to them that much (they must be very busy, right?), many heroic quests are being received (wow, who knew that the gods owned this many neat weapons and useful items we have to retrieve)

I won't repeat myself, I explained Red Shoes' arc here, just keep in mind that it roughly follows the movie plot

What I didn't mention is that Snow White finds the infamous golden apple the morning she's supposed to begin her quest and meet the F7. Is it a good luck charm from her mother? A trap? A prank? Near the climax she realizes what it actually means, while still searching for her father:

You see, only someone close to Aphrodite, a goddess, could secretly take it, someone like a god

Since gods can't directly intervene in their children's battles, that means that someone is trying to help them... Or warn them

It isn't about the myth, but its name. Apple of Discord (or is it Apple of Strife? Like, the official name, if someone knows please tell me). This person is sending a message: a war between the twelve olympians and the minor deities is going to break out if nothing is done about it

Yeah, turns out that Phobos and Deimos inspired other minor gods to rebel as well

That's why many new halfbloods were claimed, why they were assigned more quests than ever, to get weapons for their parents, to reinforce an army for both sides

Minor gods are tired of being left out and ignored, so are some of their children. Take Hans (from Frozen, not, you know Red Shoes'l), still un-claimed after years. Or Elsa and Jack, born from Boreas. Kubo, son of Nemesis. Agatha, ghost daughter of Hecate who found peace after Hades' son Norman confronted her. Regina (Snow White's stepmother), another daughter of Hecate:

Everytime something bad has happened, a minor god or their kid were involved

What happens next... is still work-in-progress. I have some more thinking to do 😅 I want to have Chaos involved in Act III somehow? Maybe he's the mastermind behind everything, and he was the one who influenced the gods to revolt, with his..... chaotic nature

First impression: Man this guys an asshole. Mysterious dude, don't trust him. He up to something I know it.

When he gets Shay on his side, it's just a while show of how mysterious Declan is and that he is a true threat to Leo. That and its just cool. Like his interactions with Shay are just you know who's got the power here.

If anything, it's a soft payback. (any of the primarches can legit still use it against Sandalphon. Like, he'd complain about something and any of them would go "yknow you're kindof annoying right now. Like that time you stole my wings." and Sandalphon will shut up in shame and will let them do whatever they want with him. Maybe he's lucky the only one of them who would totally do that is Gabriel, the one who destroyed her own wings instead of letting him steal them.)

But god yeah. I feel like this would be terrifying though. I'm hiding being Belial, surprisingly i trust him the most out of all of them. (bad plan, but hey).

And that's fair tbh, apparently Lu Woh is hoping to face Bahamut himself because the situation they're in rn is all his fault, and he apparently mentioned appealing to the Fallen Angels for that??? While it would likely involve the return of Azazel and Olivia especially, it could be interesting if it tied back to Lucifer (after all, since he was the one creating the primal beasts for Lucilius.....)

I really would love to see Lucifer and Orologia interreact like. The all seeing creature who wants to love someone as much as they could but involving themselves always bring more trouble. They'd be friend. I want it.....

Tip the Scales

Melinoë tasted stagnation on her tongue.

Even here, in the guarded canopy of the forest around Hecate's stronghold, it seeped in. For all Hecate's phases, there was still something constant about a cycle. And in that, Chronos' effects could be felt.

The coil of Magick hung thick in the air. The two sensations were giving her a headache.

Between the Magick permeating the space and the imbalance within the Underworld, the creatures that were drawn here were of the worst to seek that heady mix. Though the Magick was Hecate's, that didn't deter them.

In fact, it drew them like moth to flame.

Melinoë was sore and bitter, and standing amongst the overgrowth was just making her more frustrated at her own lack of strength. She rolled out the wrist of her gifted hand.

Not good enough.

The force of imbalance around her threatened to drown her with its enormity. The doubt at the back of her mind crawled to the forefront once more, no matter how much she stubbornly tried to ignore it.

How can I ever be good enough?

She reached for the blades at her hips, the arching weight of the scythe, the steady tremor of her dagger, both helped to ground her. Something like a scale in perfect harmony.

She did her best to swallow down her feelings. There would be time for that later.

For now, there was a lesson to be learned in clearing out the monsters of the woods.

Oh my gosh so finally I have a spare moment to reply your answers to my tons and tons of questions so firstly I am so so SORRY it’s taken me so long especially since you replied to all my questions 😭😭

As you’ve mentioned that the mc would struggle with transforming into a demon, I’m really interested to know who you think would help the mc with her transition as a demon the most? So because she and Jisung now have a good relationship, would he be more inclined to help her or because she and Felix have such a good relationship would he be the one that supports her the most? Or would it be that each member of the clan would help with different aspects?

I love the idea that the mc will get on well with the younger clan members 😍😍

I also love the idea that the mc would act as a sort of storyteller due to her more recent life in the interior, definitely highlights that she would have a good relationship with the younger clan members! And I can definitely imagine the mc telling stories to the younger ones one evening and Chan just watching with heart eyes 🥺

I’m very interested to know what the gods would do in regards to the Lykos clan trespassing through their lands… and what the other demon clans would do knowing that an augur has turned into a demon as well… I wonder if they’d still be able to tell that she was an augur? And whether or not the mc would still be in some form of danger… just additional thoughts I’m having 😂

i really like your thoughts on jisung being able to help the mc with their demon transition—it’s definitely true that they have a VERY different relationship at the end than they did at the beginning. the mc ends up meaning a lot to jisung (even tho he’d never admit it hahaha) so i like this idea a lot !! i think felix’s giving nature would also make him very inclined to help out the reader during their struggles with the transition period—in that way, i do think they’d actually all help out with any issues the mc might have! i can definitely see her going to different members for different things, but i don’t think any of them would mind at all—she’s one of them now, after all.

and omg you get it!! you see the storyteller vision…mc coming up with ~slightly embellished~ stories of interior life while chan looks on fondly in the background…oh lord i LOVE the way your mind works !!!! 😩😩

as far as the other demon clans go, i don’t think they’d be able to tell the mc had been an augur—hecate had been able to, but she has a much different connection to magic in the citadel than the demons do. i can, however, definitely picture some of the gods going after lykos, especially aeolus since they did kinda trespass through his village 😭 and i can see him spreading the word towards the other gods who might be more than happy to have something to do (antagonize a demon clan) for the first time in two hundred years…so to answer your question, i do think it’s entirely possible that our mc could still be in plenty of danger 💀
