honestly i thought surtr was like some sort of hidden arknights boss or an ex-villain or something but she's just a passive mall goth lounging around and eating all my damn ice cream

#arknights #she doesnt leave my damn fridge alone #had to request a new minifridge through HR to hide my personal ice cream stash #(theyre original klondike bars. you see #only the original klondike bar has a solid chocolate casing hard enough that its a valid shell that doesnt crack or melt easily #and what i do is that in my office i use a spoon to introduce small microcracks into the klondike bar #to then pry apart by pieces and slowly deshell the klondike bar to eat its chocolate seperately from the ice cream #after ive finished eating all of the shell and ive properly left the ice cream proper nude #i proceed to eat the block of vanilla ice cream like a normal ice cream serving with the same spoon #using the foil itself as a plate for max efficiency #and upon finishing i lick the foil plate clean and politely fold up and throw away to minimize trash output as much as possible #thus ensuring a nice ice cream experience #but no surtr has to be like “bro just bite into the fucking ice cream its an ice cream sandwich”#BITCH you dont UNDERSTAND the PROCESS #WHICH ONE OF US IS THE TACTICIAN HERE????

I don’t even like crime moves and keep watching crime movies for the whump thinking the next one will be different— none of them ever are. They’re very well-done but awful at the same time, you know? I like grimdark but not this specific brand of realistic fiction grimdark. It’s not even cathartic (to me). No, it’s seven gigantic shots of depresso espresso injected into the bone marrow and idk how to feel about it, but one thing is for certain:

I am living for the White-Orange bromance… it was nice while it lasted djdjdjdnjdkdkdjdmsmmsls

#Also it’s very comforting to know I’m not the only person with a very fucked-up use for “Stuck in the Middle With You.”#although mine may arguably be worse and more cringeworthy because it has to do with a worse even more unhinged movie #Even though Mr. Blonde absolutely made that officer into Vincent Van Gogh post-breakdown with that song playing #Ooooooffffffff #Reservoir Dogs #It’s interesting watching this type of movie because even in The Hit you could sympathize with the lady #(y’know… the lady who bit John Hurt’s hand in a very animalistic (iconic) way)#Yeah there’s no one like that here. I don’t like any of them as people and they all kinda deserved it tbh #But it’s still viscerally disappointing and disconcerting regardless which is a hallmark of a good film #If you can elicit sympathy-adjacent responses for unsympathetic characters #Although again White and Orange were cute and what they had is kind of endearing #Damn you Tarantino (affectionate)#Well done. I hate it.#White and Orange struck me more as a parent-adoptive child dynamic #in which Orange is a house sparrow who kicked the other babies out of the nest

I'm an argumentative bastard just like both my parents but I try not to get into fights too much because a lot of arguments just turn into a waste of time but fuck man. It's really hard sometimes.

#chit chat #work stuff #'unskilled labor' is my secret communist trigger phrase and one day I'm gonna get fired #for yelling at a fucking office manager customer about how I know damn well how to keep employees in line and file paperwork #but I'd sure like to see him throw freight for ten hours a day every day for a year without cracking #and I'd like to see him get screamed at by a customer and have a portable grill thrown at him and not see him lose his cool #and I'd like to see him drive our assortment of forklifts through a store at 2pm and not hit anything or any customer not paying attention #not only is this skilled labor but im DAMN skilled at it #and he wasn’t even talking about retail specifically he was talking about mcdonalds #but i know what office work entails because I've done it and it's also half my job here #and 16yo burger flippers do a lot more have a lot more skills and risk a lot more danger than fucking working on microsoft excel all day #and yes a lot of office work is necessary but it's not fucking better than retail or food service #and I hope all his computers have slow internet for the rest of his life #jfc

Dial 999 is such a weird little show. a rare case of ABC coproducing with an American outfit (Ziv Television Programs) makes #it one of the only half hour film serials from this era not to have ITC's sticky hands all over it. it's also copaganda of the most clunky #and unsubtle kind; Robert Beatty's Canadian mountie is in London to learn how policing happens here‚ which he does at length and with #much admiring voice over about the hardworking‚ brave‚ friendly‚ frankly amazing officers he meets and works alongside. the thing is it's #so clumsily done and so damn earnest that it actually succeeds in coming off as quite charming rather than tiresome #network have followed a mysterious order for their dvd set.. it doesn't match any of the (admittedly unreliable) transmission orders #available online but nor is it likely to be a true production order‚ as the four episodes Alvin Rakoff helmed as pilots (of which this is #the first) are not the four which open the first disc (only 1 and 2 do). ho hum it doesn't matter I suppose..... one thing we do know for #certain is that this was episode 1: Beatty arrives in London in the opening scene and explains why he's there #cue cockney mobsters cutting each other up as Bill Hartnell looks over his glasses and says hmm a lot #television heaven i tell you

i can't believe i have finally tested positive for the plague :(

#personal #i was so so careful for so long #and then i went to this dang convention and now here we are sigh :(#i thought i'd just lost my voice like normal after con and then felt bad bc period cramps #but my friend said she tested positive so i tested and yeah :( me too :(#i also feel extra bad bc i went into the office for a 3hr meeting on tuesday 🙃#and technically have meetings in the office on tuesday next week i uhhh should not go in for now 🙃#i did test before i went into the office on tuesday and it was negative then! sigh #damn it all #i kinda wanna cry i just really hope i didn't give it to anyone. or give it to my parents who i liVE WITH 😭#serious question am i allowed to take a sick day tomorrow. i am actually sick so uh.....
