dawn - percy jackson
Request: nope Pairing:  percy jackson x child of apollo!reader Summary:  percy wakes early because of a nightmare and you're not next to him Warnings:  swearing, mentions of nightmares, percy being scared :( Word count:  900 A/N: SHIFTING INTO PERCY JACKSON MODE AGAIN !!! I cannot wait for the show !!! also this is based on a head canon I saw once and now it's my favorite, enjoy!
percy hears you scream again. he needs to find you now.
he's been running for too long now, you've been screaming for too long. he could tell from your screams you had gone from scared to absolutely terrified.
and he knows you've been through as much as he has. it took a lot to make you scared. and something has made you terrified.
percy runs around the corner, gripping his sword tight. up ahead he can see a shadow. that must be you.
he takes off running again but as he gets closer to the shadow, it's not you. it's someone - or something - that is holding two very long, very sharp swords.
percy turns around and bolts through a door. you scream again. and again. he can't get to you. gods, he's going to lose you.
with a start, percy's eyes fly open.
he's breathing heavily and his hands are gripping the bedsheets. percy's chest rises and falls rapidly as he tries to calm himself. he reaches out to you, but you're not next to him.
what if it wasn't a nightmare? fuck.
he pushes himself up with one elbow and notices the door to his cabin is slightly open. he can see you sitting just outside.
percy closes his eyes and lets himself fall back onto his pillow. he frowns when they're damp. great, he was sweating. that means it was a really bad one.
'shit.' he sighs, dragging a hand over his face. there's no way he's getting any sleep now. at least not with the adrenaline still coursing through his veins.
he can tell it's very early in the morning. the sun is starting to rise, but it's still pretty dark outside. percy looks over to you again and notices a mug in your hands, steam rising from it.
after the nightmare he had, he just needs you close. so he gets up and puts on a sweater and boots before joining you outside.
you look up when you hear footsteps on the wooden floor.
'hi. did I wake you?' you say, reaching for percy and pulling him down to squeeze into the chair next to you, careful not to spill your drink.
'no.' his answer is short.
'nightmare?' you ask, noticing the collar of his shirt that sticks to his sweaty neck.
'yeah.' he moves to get closer to you, needing to be near you.
'want to talk about it?' you say, lazily running your fingers through his hair near the back of his neck.
percy sighs softly. 'lately it's the same one.' he says. 'you're somewhere, I don't know where, I can't see you. but I can hear you. you're screaming for help, for me to come get you out of wherever you are. but there's this big guy chasing me and I can never get to you in time.'
he squeezes his eyes shut, trying to drown the image out.
'it's okay.' you say. 'I'm here now.'
'I know you are. you think I can ask any of the gods if they can stop the nightmares?'
you chuckle softly. 'it's worth a shot.'
'hey, wait. why weren't you next to me when I woke up?' he says, remembering the moment the nightmare shook him awake.
he turns slightly so he can look you in the eye, brows slightly furrowed. 'do you still have nightmares?'
'sometimes.'
'but they didn't wake you tonight?'
'no.'
'wait, so you willingly got up at the ass crack of dawn?'
you smile. 'also no.'
'you're usually up early, though. even on quests when you're exhausted but we need to go on, you're always the first one awake. perks of being apollo's kid?'
this time you laugh softly. 'no, more like downside of being his kid.'
percy frowns again. 'what are you talking about?"
'well, everyone wakes at dawn. look, will's awake as well.' you say, pointing to your cabin in the distance. 'michael is just coming back from getting his coffee. I saw lee as well.'
percy still looks confused. you're tempted to give him some weird reason and have him figure out I fit's real or not. but he might not even believe the truth.
'you know how apollo uses his chariot to ride across the sky to give us the sunrise, right?' you say.
'yeah, you told me about that.' says percy.
'well, when he does that he blasts heavy metal at a frequency only apollo kids can hear. so we can see him in the sky in all his glory.'
'seriously?'
'his words, not mine.'
percy laughs. 'that does sound like apollo, yes.'
'it's nice, tough. waking up before everyone else does. especially the younger kids.'
'hey, next time, wake me up okay?'
'I prefer to let you sleep. that's why I always get up quietly.'
'I know, and I appreciate it. but this is nice, just us.'
'us and all of my cabin.'
'well, yeah, but you're the only apollo kid sleeping in my cabin.' says percy, nudging your shoulder an smiling.
'and it better stay that way.' you say, smiling as well. 'I call dips on the shower.'
you lean in to kiss his cheek and get up, letting percy enjoy the rest of the sunrise on his own.

Going to Victoria’s Secret with Percy Jackson…<3
“stay here” you said to your boyfriend. You stood in front of a child play area.
He shook his head wrapping his arms around you.
“Please Perce” you begged your boyfriend. You really didn’t want him with you when you enter Victoria’s Secret. You were fine with any other place, just not here…
“No…” he pouted squeezing his arms around your body
“please…” you asked with puppy eyes, a trick you had mastered.
Fine," he grumbled and let go of you. "Do you have everything you need in case of a monster attack?"
Yes, mother," you sighed at his protectiveness, "I have everything."
"Your dagger?" He questioned. " Your cellphone? What about-"
"Percy!" You interrupted him. "I'll be fine. We don't even have cellphones. You're only a couple of feet away from the entrance," you reminded him.
Ever since the war with Gaea, he's become way more overprotective in thoughts of losing you.
You thought it's adorable, but he could sometimes cross the line.
"You're right," Percy shook his head to himself. "You're a big girl."
You kissed his cheek, and then walked into Victoria Secret. You threw a quick look over your shoulder to make sure Percy isn't following.
He wasn't were you last saw him. He was with a little girl, helping her up a pair of steps that lead to the slide.
Your heart melted at the sight, he looked so cute with children. Your mind even wandered to the thought of Percy and you having kids one day, that little girl being your daughter.
You smiled to yourself, heading to the panties section. You chose a few pairs of panties, and then headed to the bras section.
You wanted to make this quick, you didn't want to make Percy wait long. You already knew what you were looking for.
"Uh, sir," you heard a female employee near you speak behind a rack of bras. "We need to ask you to leave. We're having complaints from other customers."
"I can't," you heard, this voice being much deeper and more masculine. "I'm here with my girlfriend."
"I'm sorry, sir, but until you have proof, we need to ask you to leave."
The people around you began to mutter, some pointing.
You almost laughed at the guy behind the rack of bras, thinking what type of pervert would come in here and claim he had a girlfriend when he clearly didn't. 15
Behind the rack, the figure rose to his feet, beet red.
You continued to think what a lunatic the guy is for spying on girls.
That was until the pervert turned out to be your boyfriend.
Percy sent you an bashful look. 41
You sighed. "Ma'am, he's… he's with me," you spoke, your face flushing red.
The employee nodded and left to fix the underwear close by, but she kept an eye on the two of you.
Percy wouldn't meet your eye.
"I told you to stay and wait," you scolded him.
"But I wanted to be with you, (y/n)."
You tried to muster some anger, but you couldn't. He only wanted to spend time and be with you. You began to think how sweet it was. You kissed your boyfriend, catching him by surprise.
You pulled away, looking at the selection of bras to choose.
Percy chose one, picked it up, and held it to his chest. "How about this one, (y/n)?" He asked, the bra he chose being blue with jewels decorating it - almost like seashells. "I would look hotter in this than you," he smirked. He slid his arms through the loops, looking down.
The employee near by looked ready to call security to escort both of you out.
"Percy!" You attempted to scold, but ended up in laughter.
He took off the bra and placed it back. Only this time, he chose an even larger sized bra. "This one fits much better," he felt himself as if he had boobs. "Yup, much better," he said as he smiled innocently at you.
There's nothing innocent in that smile.
The employee spoke to the mall security guard from a far distance, throwing glances in your direction.
"Uh… Perce," you began to place down the panties and bras you selected. "Put that back, we're leaving."
"Why?" He looked at you confused. "Aren't you buying these?"
"I was but not anymore," you said as he took off the bra. He followed your gaze and then understood what you meant.
"Come on." You laced your hand with his and started to take off running leaving behind your cute pantries you sadly didn’t buy.
“Hey!!” You heard from behind you, Percy took off in a sprint dragging you along to the bathroom and locking yourselves in a stall.
“Fuck. I love you…” Percy exclaims before kissing you, your mouths moving in perfect alignment. You guys were soulmates… your hands reached up each other’s shirt’s ,he pushed you against the wall before taking his hands out of your shirt and gripping your ass causing you to moan lightly, gifting him the opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth. “Percy…” you grumbled in between kisses. “Yeah?” He replied in a haze.
“we forgot Annabeth at Cotton on Kids…”

my peaceful nights belong to you
in which: a son of poseidon has himself convinced a daughter of athena doesn’t want to listen to him complain.
pairing: percy jackson x daughter of athena!reader
warnings: angst, my poor percy has been through TOO MUCH
tropes: hurt/comfort, best friends to lovers
word count: 2.1k
a/n: friendly reminder that request r open (esp for headcanons) and bc I have a four hour layover tmrw I will be absolutely active on here. plz enjoy. also, this is inspired by a tiktok I saw that said Percy's trauma is so overlooked. so here's me not overlooking it.
Tumblr media
All eyes were on the great Percy Jackson.
Yours were, too, don’t be fooled. You had always found him impossible to look away from. But it wasn’t admiration you were studying him with as tales of his quests were told and retold and embellished around the bonfire. Quests you had been on, each and every time.
No, you were watching him with concern.
Because the son of the sea was drowning in all the attention.
It was almost painful for you to watch, but you couldn't look away.
A beautiful train wreck, you supposed, studying Percy's uncomfortable but obliging conversation with one of the newer sons of Ares who hadn't been around for Kronos or Gaea and simply thought fighting in those wars had been fun.
But people had died. Your people, your friends. It was war, and it was painful, and even though you were the daughter of the war goddess, you hated it with every inch of your being.
No amount of planning on your behalf could have saved Beckendorf. There was no stopping Leo from sacrificing himself.
"That's called being a demigod," Percy had told you one day, offhanded, sometime between nearly dying in a volcanic explosion and being stolen from her by Hera.
"That doesn't mean we have to stand idly by and accept it," You had countered, frowning, and Percy must have realized he'd said something that had upset you, because he had pulled you into a hug and muttered an apology you still hadn't worked out was necessary or not.
But what you did know was that he was your best friend, that you had been in love with him since you were both fourteen, and he absolutely did not want to talk about all his past glories like a good little Greek hero.
Seated on a front-row bench with Grover on on side and an assortment of other campers you knew he wasn't close with surrounding him, you knew you had to run a rescue mission.
Especially since Grover was too distracted by eating his marshmallow roasting stick to realize how tense Percy was as the Ares kid went on and on.
"Perce, there you are." You wedged yourself into the not-entirely open spot next to your best friend, smile on your lips and a sly look in your eyes. Percy's own widened in sight relief, his arm wrapping loosely around your shoulders in a casual movement that was entirely too familiar. "Thought you ran off on me."
"Never," He sighed, some of his tension already dissipating. You grinned a little unevenly at him, not wanting to give the others watching any clues that the great Percy Jackson wasn't completely and utterly alright.
"Good," You bumped him with your shoulder, and he squeezed his arm around you for just a brief moment, tugging you close to his side. You had to turn and face the young Ares boy to keep yourself focused. "How are your archery lessons coming?"
The new camper looked slightly put out about the change in conversation, but you pinned your stare on him and didn't back down. For a moment, you thought he would continue to pester Percy with questions about fighting in two wars, even with you sending up very clear signals that neither of you were interested.
But the boy made the right choice, launching into a rant about how long range combat was not his strength.
Halfway through the story about almost shooting Connor Stoll's foot, you felt Percy lean towards you, his breath warm against the shell of your ear as he dropped his voice to a whisper, meant only for you.
"Thank you,"
Since you had taken half a seat, your body was pressed firmly against his from your ankles to your shoulders. His touch warmed your skin like a sunny day on the beach, and you weren't sure if it was a son of Poseidon thing or a Percy Jackson thing.
So instead of answering him, you set one of your hands on his leg, just above his knee, and squeezed.
Tumblr media
The moon was shining over camp when you gave up on finding sleep and decided to sneak out.
You’d been around long enough to know just how to sweet talk Mr. D into letting you be out past curfew, and Chiron had a soft spot for you, since you helped save the world. Twice. It was the harpies catching you that you were afraid of.
Travis Stoll had almost learned the hard way that Mr. D was not kidding about them eating campers.
But children of Athena had passed on the secret to sneaking out through generations, and you were exploiting that very information for a midnight trip to the lake to stargaze there when you spotted movement on the roof of Cabin Three.
Really, you weren't in control of your own actions as you turned swiftly to change course. Maybe it was Tyche with her luck or Aphrodite with her meddling in the affairs of the heart that had you scaling the side of Poseidon's cabin, a path you had taken more than once.
Or maybe, for once, you couldn't blame the gods. Maybe you were the only one making the choices that had you settling on your back beside Percy on the slanted cabin roof.
He hadn't seemed all too surprised to see you, but all he offered in way of greeting was a nod before he returned to studying the sky above.
You only let the silence last for three minutes, a gnawing feeling in the pits of your stomach unable to let it be.
"Do you want to talk about it?" You asked, voiced simultaneously quiet and startlingly loud in the otherwise silent night. With your head turned to watch his side profile, you watched him tumble from his thoughts and back onto that rooftop, with you.
"What?" He was playing coy, you knew him well enough. What you didn't understand was why he was holding back with you, of all people. You, who had been there with him from the night Grover dragged him over Half-Blood Hill. Who had followed him and Grover and Annabeth across the country to save his mom, who fought Luke and Kronos with him, and mourned the loss of so many friends.
You, who hadn't slept for six months when he disappeared, only to find him in New Rome with the claim that he had forgotten everyone and everything but you.
His tether to his life. His best friend. His something more.
"About whatever is bothering you so much tonight." You shot him a flat look, but his was still doing a good job at avoiding your eye. Frowning, you nudged him with your elbow. "I saw you at the bonfire, Perce. Something is eating at you."
For a moment, it was silent. And then Percy drew in a deep breath, like he was readying himself for something, but he still hadn't looked at you.
"I guess I’ve just been thinking about just… everything." He sighed, but you could hear the apprehension and exhaustion in his voice. He was still keeping things back, but you couldn't understand why. And that killed you, as a child of Athena. "I've been fighting since I—we—were twelve. It's too..."
"Too what?" You prompted when he trailed off, his voice dying in the warm night air. Your hand brushed against his on the rooftop between your bodies, and you considered the risks of just grabbing his hand and squeezing to offer comfort while he sorted through his thoughts.
"Forget it." He shook his head, and your heart sunk. "You don’t want to hear me complain."
You frowned, twisting to face the sky and wracking your Athena blessed mind for some way to prove to him that you did, in fact, want to hear it. You wanted to hear anything, ever, that he had to say.
But when words failed you, actions didn’t, and you finally stopped pretending to accidentally brush your pinky against his and just wrapped your hand around his.
You both stayed like that for a while, quiet and thinking, until you turned your head to face him, unsurprised to find a stormy look on his face while he still studied the stars. Maybe he was thinking of Zoë, of all the others the two of you had lost over the years.
But you were thinking about him, only.
"I’ve been fighting with you since you came to camp," Your words were quiet, little more than a summer’s breeze brushing across Percy’s skin, but you knew he heard you. "But maybe now we’re not fighting monsters anymore. Maybe we’re fighting the memories and scars they left behind. But I’m still fighting with you, Percy."
He turned his head, then, his eyes finding yours like they were always meant to. And, deep down, part of you knew they were.
Every shared glance during combat, or after a stupid joke, or when a battle ended and all either of you could do was search the carnage for a hint of the other—those eyes had found you.
"I’m just so scared I’ll never get to live my life.” Percy confessed, voice hauntingly hollow. You squeezed his hand, and he squeezed back like a lifeline. “I don’t know if I’m running away from what’s already happened or into the next big mess. And what if next time… what if…"
He trailed off, eyes wide in panic, a bit of desperation. You squeezed his hand again, because you couldn’t give him the words. He needed to find them himself.
Percy screwed his eyes shut and darted forward, slotting his mouth over yours in an unexpected, horribly angled kiss. Teeth clashed together, your bottom lip caught in the mayhem and you gasped at the slight bite of pain.
He jumped back like you had burned him, propped up on one arm as he leaned on his side next to you.
"I, shit, I shouldn’t have—" He fumbled for words, already trying to shuffle further away from you, but you held tight onto his hand to keep him close, sitting up to follow him. "Please, let’s just forget about this, okay? I just, I got caught up in everything and—"
"Tell me you didn’t want to kiss me, then." You promoted, brows knitted together as you studied his face, desperate for a glimpse of how he was feeling revealed to you in the moonlight. "Because if you can’t say it meant nothing to you, you need to tell me, right now."
"I… can’t say it."
And just like that, you were the one kissing him, one hand curving around the back of his neck to keep him close while the other remained threaded through his fingers. His free hand reached up to cup your cheek, thumb brushing against your skin as if he needed confirmation that this was real, that you were real.
When you finally pulled apart to breathe, you didn’t go far. Not from him. Never from him.
"I was worried next time I wouldn’t get the chance to do that." Percy finished his thought from before, a little dazed from the kiss you both had been long awaiting, apparently. You smiled softly and closed your eyes, pressing your forehead against his.
"If you’re running towards the next prophecy, I’ll run with you." You promised, pausing only briefly to shift your position so you and Percy were laying on the roof again, only this time your head was propped on his chest and his arm was wrapped securely around you. "But if you want to sit up here and talk about the monsters you’re running from, I’ll do that, too."
"Thank you." He echoed his words from the earlier bonfire. And you could tell from his voice that he really was thankful. Because as tough as he was, Percy Jackson was still half mortal. "I…" He started, the air thick with tension about what he was going to confess. "I keep having dreams about Tartarus."
You let him talk, devoting your attention and mind to him, tracing shapes and stars and waves against his chest by your head while he spoke.
Time moved quickly that way, with talk of his fears and what weighed heavily on his mind broken up only when his throat would clog with emotion and you would tilt your head up to kiss away the memory long enough for him to regain his composure.
Because no one knew him better than you, and he didn't have to be the great Percy Jackson with you.
He could just be Percy, the boy who was haunted by his past and terrified of his future.
And you would give him all of your peaceful nights for him to have only one.

Hi! Thank you for the request! I hope you like it!!

Clarisse loved her girlfriend, but she could sometimes be too kind towards others, most specifically towards a certain Poseidon’s son.
“I don’t understand why you dislike him so much, he is a sweetheart,” you tell her one evening, wrapped in her arms as she tries not to fall asleep as your fingers brush against her skin delicately.
“I just don’t like him, he brings too much attention to himself,” she says, feeling a bit annoyed at the turn of conversation but as she smells the delicate smell of honey blossom, she feels herself calm down. Every child of Persephone had a certain smell of flowers that followed them, but it could change due to their mood. The only flowers she could pinpoint in yours were honey blossom and roses when Clarisse managed to make you blush or when you got angry.
“He doesn’t do it on purpose, just give him a chance,” Clarisse was happy when you then turned the conversation to another topic, not wanting to spend more time than necessary on the stupid topic of Percy Jackson.
Everyone knew you were kind; it was something that was known around camp when you helped others around, but it was also known that you were Clarisse’s girlfriend and that you were fiercely loyal to the Ares daughter. Some people saw it as a flaw, your unwavering loyalty, but she only saw it as proof of your love.
Kindness was often seen as a weakness, but Clarisse could make a whole book about you where she proves that entire point wrong, you had proven that to her when playing capture the flag. You weren’t just as sweet as a blossom but just as deadly as a rose, she had seen you throw a dagger at the head of a camper, only slightly cutting the skin of his cheeks.
“Try to take the flag again and this time I won’t avoid cutting your face entirely,” the sweet daughter of Persephone had said with a tone that would make even the god’s tremble. And that is how Clarisse had fallen for you; hard and fast as she saw you cutting through the other team as if you were just helping the Demeter kids growing flowers.
She had been waiting patiently, or not as she had no patience, for Chiron to reveal who would be on which team in Capture the flag. Rules had been made at one point that the Athena and Ares cabin would always be on opposite teams as they couldn’t get along, just like their parents. But the other cabins were often mixed up between the two.
“I can’t believe he would do this to me!”, Clarisse screams, and a couple of children scramble away at the angry daughter of Ares.
“Clarisse?”, you ask softly, making her slightly relax as she smells the comforting smell of flowers. You seem worried, hands on your hips as you look at her with wide eyes.
“Chiron put you on Annabeth’s team, I’m sure that little devil is really happy right now,” she murmurs the last part, crunching the paper in her hand as she begins to plot her revenge.
Your hand softly covers her, and she feels your fingers slowly stroke a pattern on her hand to try and get her to loosen her grip on the paper. When she finally does let go you take a look at the paper, humming to yourself as you see the teams.
“You have the Hermes cabin, which means you have Luke. Not all is lost my love,” Clarisse can’t help but blush at the nickname, you didn’t say it that often but when you did it would turn her into a blushing mess, just like right now.
“I would rather have you then Castellan and the other pipsqueaks,” she says, going back to her grumbling but she looks at you as you laugh softly.
“Common, it will all be alright. This is good, now you can already mentally prepare yourself to lose,” Clarisse raises her eyebrows at your statement, a smirk can be found on your glossed lips.
“Oh, really? And what you think that you are going to win this?” she whispers as she gets closer to you and you nod, confidence radiating off you.
“Of course, I will, and I will enjoy wiping the floor with your bodies,” you say and Clarisse doesn’t know if she feels competitive or hot and bothered at the sight of you so confident.
“Better prepare yourself to prove that statement princess, wouldn’t want to see you crying on the floor at the end,” Clarisse says, and she enjoys the scoff you let out at her words.
“Give me your worst La Rue,” you tell her, and she can only whisper it back before brining you into a heated kiss, efficiently bringing the conversation to a stop.
--
She should’ve known Annabeth would be using you against her, after all the girl was smart even at the age of twelve.
“Funny seeing you here,” she hears you say, and she can’t help but snort at your words before seeing a dagger in your hand.
“Common princess, really? Just one dagger?”, she can’t help but say, feeling already like they were going to win this game of Capture the flag.
“I don’t need more, you on the other hand seem to have a lot of weapons on you. Isn’t that too much weight?”, you ask her, with that sweet voice you always used on her, if you had been a daughter of Aphrodite, it could’ve been seen as charm speaking. But then again it only seemed to work on her.
You get closer to her, much more than how close you would usually get to an opponent, but she doesn’t say anything as she can only enjoy the touch of your fingers as you adjust her strap.
“You look so stunning in this, like a real warrior,” she knows you are trying to get to her, get her to lower her guard and it works, of course it does.
“Please don’t be mad at me?”, you whisper and before she can ask why you push her in the direction of the water, her sibling quickly falling with her as an invisible Annabeth pushes him.
“Percy, now!”, Annabeth yells and the boy manages to crash a huge wave on them before they can try to get up. The girl takes the flag and puts her cap on before running as fast as she can through the forest.
“Good job water boy,” you tell him as he comes out of the water, somehow already completely dry with a smirk on his lips.
“This was fun!”, he says before he sees a glaring Clarisse starting to stand up and running away in the direction of the blue flag.
“I cannot believe you just did that,” the Ares girl says with furrowed eyebrows, and you can see the glare in her eyes.
“I’m sorry, it was Annabeth plan, and I couldn’t really tell her that I wasn’t going to do it,” you tell her, but she grumbles under her breath, still looking beautiful even completely wet.
“I’ll make it up to you,” you tell her as you get closer to her, and she raises her eyebrows in interest.
“Really? How?”, she asks, and you smile as you wrap your arms around her neck, smiling even wider as you feel her arms slowly circle around your waist.
“You can decide, I’ll do anything you want for the rest of the day,” you tell her, and a flicker of mischief appears in her eyes, and you know far too well what that means.
“Except for pushing Percy into the water,” you tell her, and a pout appears on her lips.
“Fine, I want you to spend the rest of the day with me and give me your dessert at diner. I also want a back massage,” she has a smirk on her lips, and you quickly nod in agreement, excited to spend the rest of the day with her.
“And one more thing,” she says but before you can ask what her hands on your hips twist you around and push you into the cold water.
As you come back up, you can’t help but laugh at your satisfied girlfriend.
“Now we’re even,” she says before taking her armor off and joining you into the water.

“Hey,” He mumbled as you came up next to him, giving him a kiss. Percy furrowed his eyebrows at that, having not been introduced to you yet. He turned back to the boy and you now looked at him, curious.
“Oh, this is Percy. Percy this is my girlfriend, y/n.”
“Nice to meet you.” He shook your hand, you shook it with a smile.
“You too. What are you doing here? Thought you had classes.” You said, turning your attention back to Luke.
“I did, but Chiron replaced me with some other kid so i could show Percy around. What about you?”
“I am free for the rest of the day, and i just wanted to see you.”
“You mind if she tags along?” He asked Percy. Percy just shrugged. “I don’t care.”
You followed the two, through the woods and to the lake.
Percy jumped when he heard a low growl, it sounded nearby, but when he whipped around he didn’t see anything.
“Did you guys… hear that?”
“It’s probably Cassiopeia.” You said, turning around and looking beyond the woods, then back to the lake.
Percy gave Luke a confused look, Luke chuckled.
“Cassiopeia is her hellhounds name. She’s cute.”
“Hell hound?”
“Ah, she’s just a big dog, basically. A bit scary to everyone else but she’s a softie.”
“She doesn’t take kindly to strangers, though.” You said, Luke tilted his head to the side.
“She likes me.”
“For some reason.” You grumbled, a small smile on your face. He rolled his eyes and held his hand over his heart.
“Ouch. I’m hurt.”
“You wanna meet her?” You asked, turning around to look at Percy now.
“Thought she didn’t take kindly to strangers.”
“Don’t worry. She doesn’t bite. Unless you’re Dionysus.” You sent the boy a wink, he smiled.
Luke just smiled at the memory.
“Can’t believe he even lets you have it after that.” He shook his head to himself.
“I know.”
“Why does he let you have it?” Percy asked.
“It’s not mines. It was my dad’s, but he had nowhere to keep the girl. She was my childhood pet, he basically had to threaten them for her to stay.” You chuckled.
He nodded. “If you don’t mind me asking, who is your dad?”
“Hades.” You shrugged. He seemed shocked at your answer and was about to say something when Luke interrupted him with a whistle.
“Cassie.” He said, Percy watched as the large hellhound came walking closer. She nuzzled up to you first, then Luke began to pet her with a smile on his face. She licked you and him as you both groaned.
“Gross. Now I’m gonna go to camp smelling like hell hound.” You huffed, but still smiling as you stepped back.
Soon, Cassie turned her attention to Percy and looked at him with interest. He was terrified, confused, frozen in his spot, but he was intrigued.
You motioned for him to pet her, he hesitantly held a hand out, and slowly began to put her. The dog quickly warmed up to him, seemingly liking the boy.
“She likes you.” You said with a smile as you saw the interaction, Percy’s eyes were wide and he was smiling as well.
“She’s amazing.” Percy said as you bid goodbye to her and began to walk away. You nodded in agreement and Luke laughed.
“Isn’t she? I think Luke gets jealous of her sometimes.”
“I don’t.” Luke said quickly, defending himself.
“Mhmm. You keep telling yourself that.”

a/n: eye twitches guys im gonna crank out happy asks after this bc this hurt to the point of me delaying it a few days. drink water and take care luke nation
(posted 2/2/24 & betad by ellie and lari ty ladies mwah @lixzey @mrsaluado )
Exhaustion creeps up on you slowly, then all at once.
It’s been a long week at Camp Half Blood—with trying to stop a war from starting between the cabins and praying to the gods that the trio can stop everyone’s godrents from destroying the balance of the world, you could say you were kept busy making sure the place doesn’t go up in flames.
Taking orders from Chiron and your dad has been your daily routine from sunrise to sundown, and you were glad to have Luke’s arms to fall into at the end of the night. But you woke up alone this morning, and a heavy feeling in your chest that’s been plaguing you for a while now feels more prominent as you drag your boots across camp for another long day.
Exhaustion blinds us and dulls the senses, but so does love. Sometimes it was hard to tell which was taking effect.
How long were you willing to ignore the signs in front of you?
Maybe it was just another bad day. Your mind felt like it was playing tricks on you, still in a haze from Luke keeping you up the night before, the feeling of his touch still lingering in your pores—evidence of eyebags and lovebites carefully hidden under concealer. You find yourself almost walking in a dream state, before Katie calls out to you, tapping you on the shoulder.
“Did you hear? Annabeth’s back. It’s all gonna be over soon,” she exclaims, and the both of you sigh in relief. You’d do anything to get this over with and take a long break. The idea of a long weekend with Luke somewhere, anywhere but here sounds like Elysium in comparison to what you’ve put yourselves through recently.
“You see Luke anywhere, Katie?”
She hums, her hand reaching out to fix some of the trampled foliage along the path, before she looks up at you, shaking her head.
“Not this morning, no. Maybe he’s with Annabeth?”
You nod thoughtfully, stretching your arms back to soothe the tension in your back. You’ll find him sooner or later, now that this is all over.
You always do.
—-
“Clarisse stole the master bolt.”
Your fingers wound themselves tighter around Luke’s at Percy’s declaration, but you can’t help but watch your boyfriend’s face closely as the rest of the conversation passes in the background. It’s been a weird day, to say the least—helping to set up for Percy’s celebration, and Luke being tightlipped and distant the whole while. You don’t think he’s actually said a single word to you since last night until he dragged you into his cabin to see Annie and Percy.
“Everyone was ready to join the war here. To start fighting each other. An accusation against Clarisse…” you reason awkwardly, more of a question than a statement. Standing here with your friends, you feel like the odd one out. How could you miss out on Clarisse being the lightning thief? But Luke looks at the two kids in front of you as determined as the devil himself.
He knew.
He spares you a sidelong glance, a smile quirking up on the scarred side of his face.
When did Luke start making plans without you?
Taking a deep breath to calm yourself down, tranquility comes off of you in waves; you barely notice that Luke drops your hand until you hear him speak again.
“You’ve stopped the war. You’ve saved the world. Now, it’s safe to tell Chiron and finish cleaning up the mess. I told him we needed to meet him away from the celebration so we can talk without any of Clarisse’s supporters noticing.” Luke crosses his arms, trying to avoid the reach of your powers and your scorching stare while his gaze is sharp on Percy, and suddenly, the heavy feeling in your chest has a name, revealing itself as doubt.
How could you be so stupid?
Eyes don’t lie, even if Luke does, and you finally see through him, so much that you fear you’ve found his other side.
Annabeth grabs your hand, your head whipping to look at her as she speaks, “We’ll keep an eye on Clarisse while you’re gone. Make sure she isn’t going anywhere.” You feel your body shake with paranoia as you start to question everything until the daughter of Athena pulls you back to the present. Taking quick steps out of cabin 11, you take a glance back at Luke, seeing him look glumly at you from the doorway, and it reminds you of a simpler time five years ago, with him standing in the same spot he introduced himself to you on his first day at camp. This time, you don’t walk away.
“I’ll find you later, I…I just need to talk to Luke real quick,” you say biting your lip hesitantly. Annabeth’s gaze is cold as steel as she nods, doubt now running through her as well as she watches you walk back to your boyfriend. You catch him by the arm as he tries to glide past you.
“Hey, are you okay?” You’re searching for an answer Luke will never give you, not out loud—as he dodges your glances, keeping a distance between you two.
“Come on, I’ve gotta go,” he gruffs, anxiety running off of him in waves as his hands fidget at his sides. The sun is setting, and he needs to finish what he was told to do.
“We still have a bit of ti—” He interrupts you swiftly,“Not enough.”
“I know you’re always in charge around here, but not everything can go the way we want, you know?”
Your lips turn into a frown at his words, and you wonder who it is you’re talking to. Surely, not the boy whose arms you fell asleep in last night. You used to be able to figure him out so easily, but now… he’s acting like you’re an enemy. The banter he deals doesn’t usually make you feel like you’re at the short end of a stick, and though he’s right in front of you, it feels like his mind is already miles away. You’re desperate to hold onto whatever you can though, not wanting to let go of whatever’s plaguing him.
“Angelface. Look at me. Percy’s a hero, everything else will fix itself, why are you so—”
Luke sighs, blinking slowly, and you’re surprised when he pulls your hands to his chest, placing them under his camp beads, so you stop speaking.
You never know when the last time is until it happens. You didn’t think it’d feel like this.
“I need to do this.”
He’s not talking about turning in Clarisse anymore, and your body reacts before your mind does, surging forward to hug him. Your fingers run up the expanse of his back, the smell of citrus and musk being familiar but the discomfort in his embrace is not. From here, you can’t see his eyes, but his heart rate accelerates as he wounds his hands in your hair, pulling you closer until the space between you is nonexistent.
“Please,” he mumbles.
Is it a request?
The shock runs through your veins as you try to think of what to say next—Luke’s never been one to beg.
“I’d do anything to protect our home, Luke, you don’t have to convince me when it’s the right thing to do.”
Your name falls from his lips, almost like he disagrees with what you said, and then you realize he’s begging you.
He’s asking for your permission. He’s asking you to let him go.
“You’re my home, trouble. You know that right? You’re the only thing that matters to me.”
You try to nod, try to pull away to look at him but he presses you harder into his embrace, like he knows he won’t have the chance again. It hurts, though not in the way you expect.
“L-Luke, you’re hurting me.” Your breath quickens as you try to unravel yourself from him, but you’re unsure where he ends and you begin.
“Just a little bit longer.”
Your nose buries itself into his neck, and you realize he’s trembling, but you can’t figure out who’s scared, him or you? Voices are echoing in your head and it’s too loud; you clench your fists into his orange camp shirt. Why do you always need to see the proof to believe it’s real? Why do you have to wait until the damage is done?
“I have to do this, trouble. Everything will change and there’s no other way— either we win or we die. Failure isn’t an option for me. Not again.”
“I thought I was supposed to be the dramatic one,” you mutter, closing your eyes so you don’t have to face the truth for a while more, “but I still love you, despite it.”
Despite this.
A watery chuckle escapes you, and his hands are trembling as he pushes a strand of your hair back. He holds onto you more softly now, and whether you know it or not, it’s to make up for all the time he’ll have to go without holding you after this. Percy calls out to him in the distance and once Luke frees you from his arms, you wonder why it feels like you’re unraveling at the seams, slowly parting from him. The tether you have on each other loosens, and it’s hard to tell who is being freed, and who is letting go. Luke walks away wordlessly, curls bouncing in the brisk air without a second glance until you call out to him.
“I’ll find you!”
A threat disguised as a promise, you stand there in the middle of the path feeling exposed as the wretched little girl at your core, desperate to be loved, desperate to be enough.
But it’s not enough for him to stay, now is it?
—-
The truth is, Luke broke your heart before you even lost him, by hitting you where it hurts— he hit home. Camp Half-Blood has always been the one place you’ve known as home, and even if you claim to hate it—you’d die protecting it if that’s what was needed of you. You stay vigilant next to Annabeth, who looks up at your unusually quiet demeanor, and you feel like you have to confess to a crime that you didn’t commit.
“Luke’s leaving camp.”
She nods stiffly without answering you, wondering if you know about what else he’s done, too. Unlike you though, she’d rather find out before the damage is done.
The sun had set an hour ago, and fireworks were going off in the distance, everyone celebrating a hero’s return. You noticed Clarisse still sitting around the campfire with her siblings, Chiron still present and watching the festivities, and what had to be your last straw was noticing Annabeth had disappeared from your side. So you do what you do best, chase after Luke, and hope that you’re not too late.
Your breath heaves as you run through the dark forest without a single plan in mind and hoping, just hoping that no one’s hurt. You run faster towards the sound of swords clanging against each other, two figures illuminated by the fireworks in the distance.
What you didn’t expect to see was Luke’s sword pointed at an injured son of Poseidon sprawled out in the dirt.
“Percy!” your voice yells out shakily, your instincts kicking in as the truth is laid out in front of you, something darker and much worse than anything you could’ve imagined. Blue light illuminates the scarred side of your boyfriend’s face as he turns to look at you with shimmering eyes, and you see Annabeth with her sword raised at…the both of you.
Is this what love is…looking at a person who’s hurt you and still hoping they’re alright? You’re exhausted, wondering how long he’s been lying to your face—while he holds you, kisses you, and takes your pain away… and it all amounted to feeling guilty for letting his deception slip through your fingers and hurting the people you love.
Luke’s scar you used to compare to a bolt of lightning now looks like a tear cascading from regret. And perhaps he does regret this, losing Annabeth and losing you, but he never turns back on his word once he’s made a decision.
This one was just made without you.
There’s a moment where everything goes silent despite the booming in the sky and you both take one last good look at each other, and Percy and Annabeth are unsure if you two look like forlorn lovers, or partners in crime.
“Castellan…”
His face hardens again at the wavering sound of your voice, almost unrecognizable in the dim light, and you know now that this is it. You’ve always been convinced that a love like the one you and Luke share is tailor-made and stitched together by the Fates. But the strings are cut, and like Atropos, he’s the one holding the scissors.
The last thing you see are his dark eyes and how he turns to run away, headfirst into a future without you.
For a second you could’ve sworn they flashed gold.
“I wanted to hurt you
but the victory is that I could not stomach it.”

On the ADHD demigods' stim habits (headcanon list)
Percy
He talks and mutters to himself a lot and he also paces around his cabin
Restless Leg(TM)
He used to chew on things a lot but adults told him that he was Not Allowed to bite pencils or shirt sleeves or paper or anything so his outlet is mostly snacks, chewy candy is the best for this
Someone get him a seashell chewy necklace please
Oh you know what they should have stim toys at the CHB gift shop for all the ADHD kiddos
He also probably cracks his knuckles and joints a lot
He hums when there's a song stuck in his head and it's really annoying but he can't really stop it cause he doesn't notice until someone gets mad at him and then hes like ??
Annabeth
Annabeth tends to chew up her pencils a lot
She also compulsively daydreams and builds designs of buildings in her head and reviews lists of stuff she wants to remember
She finds herself doing random math while she's supposed to be paying attention. Like if someone is telling her something and her brain drifts off more often than not she's looking at something around and being like "let me just calculate how many bricks are probably in that stack over there" or "hmm i wonder how many gallons of water are in the canoe lake"
She also gets distracted if there's any other social interactions of people around her and she just people watches and makes inferences about what people are feeling and whats going on in their lives
Also she chews her hair and sometimes puts little braids in it
She picks at her skin too a lot and sometimes pulls out strands of hair
Piper
Piper flaps her hands a lot especially when she's excited
She flips and braids her hair too
If she has feathers on her she will sometimes take it out if she's bored and either preen it with her fingers or use it to tickle someone to annoy them
She sings a lot but mostly to herself and sometimes she can be heard humming or softly singing without noticing
If she has any kind of paper available, like notebook paper or napkins or maybe candy or gum wrappers, sometimes she'll make little origami things
She also picks at her nails quite a bit
Leo
Leo has the most stims that he's unable to mask, as we know already.
He taps on surfaces and messes with his clothing a lot
He also whistles sometimes which can get annoying to people around him so he tries not to do that but if he's alone or really concentrating on something he will
He will also play with pretty much anything he finds on the ground like paper clips and those office clamp things and he'll take apart mechanical pencils and pens and put them back together and if he finds a tack or a safety pin or something there's a 90 percent chance he'll stab it through the skin of his finger(s)
If he's outside he'll pick up leaves and flowers and shred them or pick up sticks and break them
He was also probably one of those kids who would put glue on his hands so he could peel it off
Jason
i wasnt sure if Jason had ADHD but I looked it up and it said he did so oh well lol
Hes like. Freakily good at masking stims and it kinda creeps everyone out especially the CHB demigods
BUT he still has them
He have the restless leg
He also does like random stretching sometimes
When he's standing in one place for a while he kinda stands on one leg or bounces his heels
Sometimes he'll pick up objects from the ground or something and play with it like Leo does, especially if he's outside and there's like rocks or something
He does a similar thing to Annabeth too but instead of math he'll try to identify any animal noises or animals he sees like birds in the sky or like if he hears a dog bark he'll try to figure out what kind of dog
Hazel
Hazel's stims are the least obvious but they are definitely there.
If she has a view of outside she will gaze out of the window or look around her and figure out how many types of trees or whatever that she can see
She will also mess with the seams or edges of her clothing
If she has paper around she'll draw horses or other animals or sometimes people or she'll practice her cursive letters and make them fancy
She picks at her skin and her hair as well
Frank
Frank does not have ADHD. He sits there quietly and everyone thinks hes weird. Sometimes he gets wiggly if he's nervous but otherwise nah

Jason but he was never claimed.
Everyone knows he's the son of Jupiter.
He's known his whole life.
From his mother's whispers to not cry in storms, for they were a sign of his father's love.
To Lupa's howls and harsh temperament that this was not behaviour fitting Jupiter's son.
But never was Jason ever claimed.
There was never a lighting bolt dancing overhead.
No fanfare.
No cheers.
Because Thalia had a use, and she was favoured.
The one he actually tried to save instead of turning a blind eye.
But Jason?
He was the bitter reminder of a mortal having sway over the God's.
Over Jupiter himself.
He was nothing but afaceless soilder raised to fall in battle when his time was up.
Why should the King himself care for one so... Pitiful.
So Jupiter never claimed him.
Didn't acknowledge him until Jason dare spoke out against him.
But Jupiter always knew exactly who that boy was.
He even named him.
He just didn't care.
Jason knew, had known but it was something he never shared.
It was a dark secret, a shameful one.
For you see without being claimed, Jason could never access his full power.
He heard the laughter, the mocks and the digs.
Of how could the Prince of the Sky's be so weak.
Luckily he'd never had another like him to measure up to at Camp Jupiter.
... Which lead him to the bittersweet reunion with his sister.
Thalia was every bit the striking daughter of Zeus.
She even looked like him while Jason shamefully resembled their mother.
Thalia never put him down, never even insinuated he was weak.
Even glaring down anyone she caught whispering at his expense.
But Jason could see the confusion on her face when he failed something she did like breathing.
He would just smile and try again to no avail.
He waited for the day she left him too.
It came to ahead one night when his friends were all there. Laughing and smiling till their cheeks went red.
"And the dress! Ugh it was so embarrassing." Cries Piper, setting off another wave off laughter.
"Oh man, I'm glad I didn't get a dress. I'd burn it off." Declared Thalia with a snort before lightly elbowing Jason.
"Lucky we just got the lighting treatment, ey Jason?" Jason paused, nodding immediately "right..."
Something must've shown on his face because Thalia frowned.
But the one to ask was Leo "hey yeah we never saw yours! Must've been something special for Mr Prince of the Universe himself. Sooo what it was like?"
Jason looked down.
He shouldn't say it, but they were all looking at him expectantly.
He didn't want to let them down.
... But what if they left him because of it?
Sure they fought a war together but Jason learned quickly that can sometimes mean nothing.
But lying to them almost felt worse.
"I... I don't know..."
"What? Sorry can you, say that louder? Can't hear you man."
"I don't...I don't, I wasn't..." He took a deep breathe. "I don't know what it was like because I wasn't... I haven't been claimed."
Silence.
Dread filled his bones, Jason didn't dare look up to see the disgust on their faces.
"That bastard!"
Jason blinked in suprise, hesitantly looking up.
And finding anger.
But not aimed at him.
"How... How are you... How are you still alive?!" Cried Thalia, anger blazed through her eyes.
But there was very clearly fear alongside of them.
Jason didn't understand.
"Before I got claimed I couldn't use my powers without getting tired so damn easily...and that was just your run of the mill monsters..." explained Thalia, seething.
Jason had fought "run of the mill monsters" since he could walk.
Percy clenched his fist "I knew he wouldn't keep his damn promise but... This is low even for him."
His eyes widened in realisation. And gave way to more anger.
"He knew... He knew this whole time! And he didn't do anything! We were fighting Gaea and he didn't..."
No one wanted to add on that it wasn't the first war either.
Jason felt tears well up in his eyes, he'd never known it to be an injustice against him.
He always thought he had deserved it. And he was supposed to die anyway soo... Why waste your powers unlocking his?
.... And by the look of horror everuone was giving him, Jason had spoken that part out loud.
"Jase...you are not a waste of anything. None of this was your fault." Said Piper firmly, angry tears in her eyes.
"She's right, none of this is right...which is why I have half a mind to go ask him what the Hades he was thinking..." Seethed Annabeth.
Nico nodded, his anger was quiet but simmering along the surface.
"I don't get why your so mad at him though... I should've... I should've been better." Said Jason, he'd never experienced something like this before.
If he wasn't so useless maybe his father would've cared about him.
"Besides, I already knew I was his son, that he didn't want me...I always have."
That little admission broke of all their hearts.
"That doesn't make this right Jase, and I know deep down you know that." Said Thalia, gently pulling him into a hug.
"We're gonna fix this, because you deserve it. You deserve so much and I'm going to spend every day of my life proving that to you."
"Me two."
"Me three."
They all began chiming in.
Tears spilled from Jason's cheeks, and for once Lupa's yells of them being weakness fell on death ears.
He was loved.
Jason rested his head on his sisters shoulder as everyone began brainstorming, threathing and maiming.
It was the most loved he'd ever felt.
Jason had always known Jupiter hadn't loved him back.
Would never love him back.
Jason had given up on anyone truly caring about him... And now he knew that he was loved by his little family.
It was worth more than his father's praise ever could.
"You think re-stealing the master bolt might do it?"
"Let's try to make sure we're still alive after this."
"... So that's a no?"

parings - jennaortega x singer!fem!reader
summary - you realize your relationship with jenna seems to be crumbling, so you do something about it
warnings - weird therapist, some percy diss, but that’s it :)
an - :) ————————————
“Relationships can be hard, and arguments are a normal thing all people go through.”
You sighed, fidgeting with your fingers while searching for anything to look at besides your therapist.
The reason for today's sudden visit was because you felt like your relationship with your girlfriend was going downhill. You understood that life can be tough sometimes, but this was much too stressful for you to keep bottled up.
“Can you tell me some specific reasons why you believe your dating life is struggling?” Your therapist asked, giving you an encouraging smile.
“Well,” You readjusted on the couch, “It just feels like I’m trying way too hard to keep us together, when I shouldn’t be.”
“I understand.”
“Having a girlfriend shouldn’t induce stress or anxiety, it should be fun and enjoyable.” You went on, now feeling like letting all your worries out, “I get that she has a job; I do too! But that isn’t an excuse to treat me terribly….”
“Yes, I agree.” Your therapist said as she jotted down some notes in her book, “You are still pursuing singing right?”
You nodded, smiling at the thought of your recently ended tour. Traveling the world was very exciting, and you loved experiencing different cultures along the way. The only wish you had was that Jenna would have been beside you; But like always, she put work first.
“So think about this. You have a job that takes you around the world, causes you to miss out on certain things but be included in newer things like events and shows?”
You nodded again, confirming the description of your work.
“And Jenna’s job consists of…exactly the same thing.”
You let out a shaky breath, turning to look at the ground sadly. It was true, you both had time consuming jobs that dragged you about the globe and took your time away from family and friends.
Yet somehow, you always made sure to have time. You would always tell your manager that family was first, and no matter what you would squeeze them into your schedule just so you could see them and feel at home while traveling or working.
Jenna’s job was similar in the aspect of yours, minus the singing and dancing, but she never seemed to be able to make any time for you. You would always plan your off days to be on her off days from filming so you could maybe go get lunch or just enjoy each other's presence, but Jenna would always have the excuse of “I’m to tired” or “I already have plans with Percy.”
Percy. The name was distasteful to you. As much as you appreciated his skill of acting and his wonderful personality, you still didn’t like him. He would always weasel himself in between you and Jenna, whether it be during her relaxing days or at award shows, he always pushed you out and brought her in.
“I have an idea; you may or may not like it.” Your therapist stated, setting her notebook down, “You need to pull her aside, no matter what plans she has, and talk to her.”
Your eyes widened and your nerves proceeded to spike. Pull her aside? You were not a confrontational person, and you were most likely to avoid conflicts if you were given the chance; hence why your relationship is crumbling.
“What do I say to her?” You fought back, taking a sip of water, “I have no idea how to confront her. ‘Hey Jenna! I feel forgotten and like you don’t care anymore!’”
A small sob escaped your mouth, your head falling into your hands. God, you missed her. You missed being able to hold her, to laugh about stupid soccer plays, to enjoy sunsets together on her balcony. You never knew how much of an impact she had on you until you started going to therapy.
“Don’t get emotional about it, just politely but firmly ask.”
You sniffled, raising a hand as an acknowledgment before getting up to leave the room. As much as you wanted to stay, you knew that if you were going to confront her you would need to do it now.
Pulling out your phone, you opened your text message app and clicked on Jenna’s contact.
Tumblr media
A chuckle involuntary left your mouth, your lip slipping in between your teeth afterwards.
Jenna always knew how to make you laugh, no matter how you were feeling. Diffusing a situation is one of her many skill sets; but you were not letting her get away this time.
“I’ll be home in 5.” You texted before shoving your phone into your pocket and heading outside to your driver.
The ride seemed long, and even though it was a 15 minute drive to your place, you still felt the small confident monster roaring inside of you. All its pleas and cries were telling you to be bigger and let your emotions out onto Jenna; but you knew you couldn’t. You would scare her, anger her, or even just annoy her that she could possibly leave you on the spot; you couldn’t let that happen.
“Miss? We are here.” Your driver said, looking at you in the rearview mirror.
“Oh, thank you.” You replied before hurrying out of the car.
As you walked to the front door, passing Jenna’s black Audi along the way, your anxiety started to overtake you and your thoughts.
What if you say something wrong and she leaves? What if you are just overreacting and this is all some stupid act you’re pulling? What if she decides that you aren’t enough for her and she confesses about Percy?
A wooden blockade hit you in the face and you realized that you walked full force into the front door.
“Ow.” You mumbled before pushing your key into the slot and walking into your luxurious living room.
A mansion was one of the very gracious things you received from being such a popular face in the music industry. Money was an easy-coming item, and spending it was just the same, so why hold it all in your bank account when you could just show up and show out with your 102,000 square foot palace.
“Y/N?” Your name was called out softly, startling you from your place by the shoe nook.
You turned your head to the left to see her, in her ever standing glory. She looked slightly confused but all together relaxed, and was clearly dressed to be heading out for a fun night.
”Hi…” You said, completely unmoving as you stared at her.
“Hi…you wanted to talk?” Jenna asked, fidgeting with her phone.
“Oh, yeah. Here.” You gestured to the kitchen island, leading to sit on a stool.
She sat opposite from you, leaned against the cool countertop as she seemed to study your body language.
“So…” You trailed off, your confidence from before completely burned out.
Jenna raised an eyebrow at you, but turned to her phone when a notification went off. She clicked it, smiled, and started giggling as she replied to whoever messaged her.
That whole interaction set you off, especially since you saw who the person was; Percy.
“Jenna put your phone down, please.” You said sternly, staring at your hands.
She looked at you with a confused expression but slowly put her phone down, retracting her hand so it sat in her lap.
“We…are not okay.” You started, playing with a ring on your finger.
Jenna watched you patiently, listening intently to your words.
“I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like we aren’t what we used to be.”
Silence from her end.
“Many times I feel like you don’t seem to care about me.” You said, the ring on your finger was now very interesting, “I go out of my way to reschedule so my off days line up with yours, but we don’t even spend any of that time together.”
More silence.
“I feel under appreciated and alone. Anytime we have free days together, you either say you are too tired to do anything or you already have plans with your friends.”
You inhale, breathing shakily and meekly.
“Am I not enough for you?” You asked, your tear clouded eyes finally looking up at Jenna.
She looked, shocked. Her mouth was hanging open while her eyebrows furrowed in confused and disbelief. She stared at you, her eyes glossing over with her own tears and her shoulders slumping sadly.
“Y/N…what?” Jenna mumbled, clearly lost for words.
You searched her face for any sign of anger or annoyance; there was none. Surprisingly, she seemed to be softening and relaxing.
“You, are more than enough for me.” She said, reaching for your hand, “Hell I don’t even deserve you.”
The weight of all your worries instantly lifted when she spoke those words, which caused an avalanche of emotions to hit you.
“Aw honey.” Jenna cooed, pulling you into her chest when you started crying profusely.
She stroked your hair, pressing a loving kiss to your forehead. Her fingers began to scratch your scalp as she coaxed you to relax.
“I love you, god I really do.” She held you close, rubbing your shoulders, “I’ll never take you for granted.”
You sniffled, leaning yourself into her as she fed you comforting words. Your stress and anxiety seemed to melt away as she held you.
“I’m sorry if I pushed you away, I didn’t mean to do it on purpose.”
You pulled back slightly, looking up at her.
“Then why did you?” You asked softly.
Jenna smiled sadly, brushing a strand of hair out of your face.
“Filming has been…stressful. Tim and the rest of the crew has been antsy, and my cast mates have been no help in being calm and collected.” She said, caressing your face with the pad of her thumb, “I’ll be honest, Percy and the gang have been partying to much, and HE is quite the touchy type.”
You frowned, jealousy building up in the bottom of your stomach at the thought of Percy getting to close with your girlfriend. Jenna chuckled at you, pressing a quick kiss to your lips to diminish the pout that formed on your face.
“Don’t do that, a frown doesn’t look good on you.” She said, rubbing her nose against yours as you laughed.
“Mmm, I love you.” Jenna murmured as she gazed into your eyes.
“And I love you.”

Weasley siblings reacting to you self harming
Tumblr media
Trigger Warning out the wazu for this. Self Harm/Suicidal Ideations/Grief/Trauma/Abuse/Vent/Its gonna be a heavy one. It’s under the cut, so you don’t have to see it. Stay safe, you are loved, and I’m here for you. Sending you hugs
William ‘Bill’
Tumblr media
To say he didn’t have a few would be a lie. He never actively does it, he just has a job that forces you into a very dark mental space sometimes. It’s the burden to a curse breaker. Sure didn’t help when he was attacked either. Don’t get him started on being the eldest sibling to six siblings. This means he’s often very vocal about mental health. Taking vacations to focus on it, and even being very active with therapy. So when he learns you have such tendencies, it breaks his heart. It hurts to know you feel such pain, and he will try and help any way he can. He would never shame you. He understands you don’t do it because you want to. The brain is just trying so hard to process something so complex. He will make sure your wounds are clean, and they don’t get infected. He would listen to whatever is burdening you, and hold you tightly. He’s going to help you through this. He understands that it’s not an easy fix. That maybe it can never be fixed. But that won’t stop him from trying to help. You won’t be trapped in the darkness alone. Your service werewolf will be there to scare off the rain clouds.
Charlie
Tumblr media
He’s caught by surprised, but self harm isn’t just cutting. He’s learned that. He’s often throwing himself into very dangerous situations. Self harm just means you are self destructive. He’s very much so, but no one ever says anything because he’s a man. And men just do stupid things. So he can understand people not taking your problems seriously. It’s a rather delicate subject, and he will go to Bill for advice. Since he’s the guy who has to have good mental health. Maybe that can help him to. You two can help each other. He can help you when your thoughts get too dark, and you can make sure he actually thinks through his actions. You both can be each other’s rocks. Keep each other grounded, when things get too much. To make sure that there is someone waiting for you on the other side. The dark moments are scary, but he’s always ready to carry a torch to find you in it.
Percy
Tumblr media
He’s stunned. He never thought you would do that, and that’s when it dawns on him that he thought like that about his older brothers. He never thought they could do such a thing, but yet they have. Even George. That is his wake up call. He’s finally putting down the books, and learning there is more to life than just climbing the corporate ladder. The most important people in his life were in so much pain, and they just remain so silent on it. Afraid of what others think. He can’t help but wonder if he’s even pushed his siblings to such. It shatters him. He tries his best to be a more open person now. To be there for you more, and learn to try and keep work at the office. That the moment he gets home, he’s off the clock. He can’t keep pushing people away anymore. It’s tearing people apart. You included. He has a lot of growing to do, but he’s trying. He’s trying to be better, and that helps shine some hope in your darkness. He may not understand it, but he knows what you are dealing with is real. There’s hope in your rain clouds again.
Fred
Tumblr media
As an owner to a joke shop, you see a lot of class clowns coming inside to cope. He himself was no exception. Molly was doing her best, but all that yelling and degrading is going to get to you. Especially in such a big family of seven siblings. Things will happen. He never cut himself, but he’s definitely done stupid things he knew could kill him. He just did them anyway, in his darker moments. Seeing a win/win scenario. He thought those were normal, since George had them to. So he doesn’t get started when he learns. When you explain to him it’s not normal, it’s now a whole other story. It’s a lot to take in, but he’s a Weasley. He’s going to handle it. He’s a big brother. He has to, and that’s when you help him understand that he can be softer to. You both find comfort in each other. You are able to let him be vulnerable. And knowing he knows your pain gives you a morbid feeling a calm. That even people like him can feel this way too. It’s a long road ahead, but he’s going to keep trying to make you smile. No matter what
George
Tumblr media
He’s made attempts to his life. More than once. Even at The Battle Of Hogwarts, he tried to. Once the shock of Fred’s death faded, he had to be held back from joining him. He’s tried so hard to keep going, but his soul is broken beyond repair. He’s cut himself, drank, anything to deal with the pain. How he’s still alive, he doesn’t know. He calls it a curse, but you suspect that Fred is the one who makes sure every attempt fails. That the rope always snaps, that whatever he drinks is the wrong bottle, that even his own wand back fires. Fred won’t let his baby brother die, and neither will you. There’s a morbid joy to the fact you are in a similar state. You are able to use what you know to help him process. To show him that it’s going to be ok. In a weird way, it’s healing to you. You are able to be the voice to someone else’s darkness. To guide them out of it. You are able to do the thing you wished people did for you. And George does. You will hold on to each other, and remind each other it’ll be ok. That George is allowed to scream and cry. That he’s allowed to be sad, and not happy all the time. You will clean his wounds, as he cleans yours. You’ll be ok. You’ll both be ok.
Ron
Tumblr media
Harry has done the same, given the Dursleys. It was scary for him, to see an eleven year old with such a thing. But it helped him with his empathy and sympathy. He would go to Harry for advice, when he learns you do the same. Wanting to make sure he says the right things, and do what helps you the most. Soon you would not only have Ron helping you, but Hermione and Harry as well. At first, you were pissed that Ron told other people. But it quickly faded, because you knew he was just trying to help. The fact he was trying to help, compared to keeping it quiet, does comfort you. He didn’t brush it under the rug. There was a problem, and he went to go get help the second he could. You weren’t left behind. You would be ok. He was on top of it, and you cried because of it. The good cry. A cry you didn’t know you needed. Not only did you have Ron, you had Harry and Hermione as well. With their own scars, and stories, and warm arms to hug you close. You won’t face the darkness alone. You had a bundle of friends to save you. They would save you every time, and it gave you the strength to face that darkness. You won’t be alone. Not anymore
Ginny
Tumblr media
She lost track how many people, during her sixth year at Hogwarts, did she see do such. Even taking their own lives, given what was happening at the time. She even has a few of her own, given her history with the diary. Every time she feels herself get to angry, she does it. Something in the back of her head tells her to do it. As if a part of Tom Riddle was still inside of her. Wanting to break free. What scared her the most was that feeling didn’t go away when Voldemort died. Knowing you have those dark thoughts makes her feel like there was some kind of red string of fate. That her trauma lead to something useful. That the fact she stayed so strong was to help others. She is able to help you with what she knows. Show her that even a kind and sweet girl like her can feel those morbid feelings. You two would hold each other, whenever those feelings got rough. Finding alternatives, like working out and doing what you can to handle it. It’s scary, but she is quick to drag you into her family. To have this massive audience to help you grow. You aren’t in the darkness. You are here with this bright red light, and she’s going to fist fight those evil thoughts away. She swears to you, and you know she will keep her promise. Weasleys always do

Call An Ambulance... But Not For Me
Luke teaches Percy to drive. Well, kind of.
A/N: this is just some silly goofy while i work through writers block. i MIGHT come back to it. also it's a mortal au so there's that :)
Tumblr media
Luke doesn’t know how he got dragged into this. Well, he does. It was very simple actually - he needed money, Annabeth’s friend had a reputation no one wanted to deal with when it came to putting him behind the wheel and a third secret motive he refuses to acknowledge that happened to be back in town for the first time all year.
He’s not nervous.
There’s nothing to worry about with Percy Jackson. He’s known the kid since he was twelve, sitting on the floor outside the classroom when there was a perfectly good chair next to him. He’s a good kid – maybe not the brightest or most polite – but good. A great friend, for sure, or Annabeth wouldn’t still be attached. Luke knows what Percy can be like and he knows his car will be perfectly safe, even if he’s in the passenger seat for once.
“We’re just going to take it slow,” is the first thing he tells Percy, even before the kid has his seatbelt on. “I want you to talk me through everything on the console.”
“Luke, I’ve been behind the wheel before,” Percy laughs, but he does as asked. Indicator, wipers, handbrake. Two and ten. Accelerate, brake, clutch. He knows it all. “Am I allowed to drive now?”
“I had to be sure, okay.”
Percy looks at him like he knows exactly why he’s here. He forgets, sometimes, that they’ve grown up while he’s become an adult. Annabeth and Percy. They’ve learnt more while he’s been gone, become more if he listens to the rumor mill (he’s waiting for Annabeth to tell him herself) and Percy’s always been people-focused. Luke wouldn’t be shocked if the kid knew more about him than anyone.
“I’m not going to crash your car.” Percy turns the ignition on, finally. “Have you got any CDs?”
“Drive in silence. No distractions.”
It goes well. He was expecting worse, the way everyone was talking about Percy’s history in his drivers ed class. But it’s fine. They stop at red lights and go at green. He checks his mirrors. He goes the speed limit – there’s moments where Luke can see him itching to press the pedal down further, to go faster, but he doesn’t so it’s a win – and they can make conversation while he does it all.
Why this was such a big deal to Sally and Annabeth, he doesn’t know. The kid is a fine driver. Luke has no doubt he’ll pass his test (or the actual driving part at least) and he’s only slightly put out that he won’t have to do it a few more times to get Percy up to scratch.
“Can you parallel park yet?”
“Do I look like I can parallel park?” Percy answers and it’s the same tone Luke’s heard him use a million times before, the one that says ‘I absolutely did that thing I’m in trouble for but you can’t prove it', so he waits. “I’ve managed it a couple times, yeah.”
“Wanna give it a go now?”
They’re almost at Percy’s, the other end of town from where they started, and they’re both safe and calm. Some would call that a huge success. He’s pretty sure Annabeth will call it the bare minimum. They’re pretty much the same thing.
Luke relaxes into the passenger seat as Percy pulls in front of an empty space. The road is practically empty, he can see maybe three people on the street total. It’s a perfect time to parallel park. He can happily tell Sally that her son will pass his test in a few weeks and pretend it doesn’t suck that he won’t have an excuse to swing by the Jacksons house every week.
It takes him a second to notice Percy mumbling to himself.
“You okay, buddy?”
Percy nods and it’s the first time Luke has really seen him concentrate on what he’s doing. There’s an intensity he doesn’t normally carry, a set to his shoulders and fingers tight on the wheel, and Luke sits up a little more. He’s not worried, not after how smooth the drive so far has been, but he’ll match Percy’s energy a little bit more.
He thinks, somewhere in the back of his mind, that if he’d let the boy play music, he would’ve turnt it down right now.
“You’ve got time, Percy,” is what he says instead of giving advice. Honestly, he’s not sure what advice he could give until the kid told him what he was nervous about exactly. He’s not actually a driving instructor after all. “Take a breath.”
He does.
And another.
“I’m going to start now.” Percy says and Luke nods. Then he says “okay” because he realizes Percy is looking determinedly at the windshield.
Forward. Turn the wheel. Reverse. Turn the wheel.
Luke watches as he makes every move, breathing deeply with each one. He sits in silence, at ease. Finally, finally, Percy starts to relax as he slowly, so slowly, inches his way into the space. A couple more minutes and he’ll be home free.
Maybe Luke can offer to help him master his parking instead of calling it quits completely.
Then, just as Percy lets out all of his breath, calmer all of a sudden, he presses down on the accelerator. Just slightly too much.
A jolt (the hood bashes against the door of another car), the sound of a horn (it takes Luke a moment to realise it’s Percy who’s pressing it, holding it down with his elbow and glaring, and another moment to slap his arm and make it stop) and he squints.
“Did you just crash into your sister?”
Percy gulps. “Do you think she’ll know it was me if we just leave?”
Luke sighs.
“Lesson number two. What to do when you get into an accident.”

Hey guys! I'm back to talk about something that I've been thinking about for a solid week and I'm ready to info dump.
So, I've been thinking about just how much Percy and Luke are the same character. They are so much the same and it's really amazing just how much detail and thought Rick put into making it where Luke and Percy go through so many of the same things and life experiences.
Like, It's something that I had noticed from the beginning, but it wasn't until just recently when I reread some parts from The lightning thief, and the from The diary of Luke short story, that I realized just how similar Luke and Percy are.
Let's start with just the way both of their characters are written. They both have the same underlying anger towards their fathers for leaving their mother's alone to deal with terrible things. In Sally's case, that is Gabe. In May's case it's the curse of Delphi that has driven her insane.
Both Luke and Percy have the same feelings of self doubt. The way they treat and talk to their friends or people they consider important, are very much the same. They act the same towards people who they don't know and don't trust. They have that same underlying snarky humor. It was scary how when I was reading TDoL, that I thought I was just reading something from Percy's pov.
And that's far from all of it! Another thing that I realized that they have in common is that there is a character that represents the promises that they couldn't keep or fullfil. Let me explain.
With Luke, that character is Annabeth. In TDoL, Luke promises Annabeth that Thalia and he would be her family. Did he know how to even be a family given that he had never had one? No. But he was going to try for Annabeth. However, he wasn't able to keep that promise, especially with Kronos brain washing and manipulating him. Breaking that promise is something that he feels guilty for all the way to his death. It was a constant reminder that he had failed those he held dear.
With Percy, that character is Nico. In The Titans Curse, Nico makes Percy promise that he would protect Bianca and make sure that nothing happens to her. Percy says that he's not sure if he could do that. He had no idea he would even be able to protect himself, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't try to keep his promise to Nico. Unfortunately, he's not able to and Bianca dies. He wasn't able to keep his promise and that guilt follows him. And Nico himself was a reminder for sometime of the promise that Percy wasn't able to keep.
So in short, Nico is to Percy what Annabeth was to Luke. A physical manifestation of their inadequacy and failure.
Both Percy's and Luke's stories have so many parallels to them and it's quite clear to see. Which is why I find it a bit funny when others say that, "Percy would've never done what Luke did!" To which I have to say, "are you sure?"
Because really, there would've only needed to be one major change and Percy could've easily ended up in Luke's position. If Sally wouldn't have been a strong pillar for Percy. If she would've ended up like May, it would've been quite easy to get Percy to change sides. Because it's quite evident that Percy loves Sally and would do anything if it meant making her happy and keeping her protected. If Kronos would've went to Percy instead and promised to help Sally and keep her protected, Percy would've joined him. Because let's not forget that Percy's fatal flaw being loyalty gets him into some rough situations if he thinks that he'll be able to help or save a loved one. It would've been easy for Kronos to manipulate him like that.
The only main difference with Percy and Luke, is that if Percy would've been the one that Kronos was able to manipulate into being his vessel? He would've won. With Percy's amazing power and strength combined with the power of Kronos, the gods would've never stood a chance. Not to say that Luke didn't have his strengths. He was cunning and charming. He had a fierce determination to see change. He was able to rally others to his cause.
However, Percy also shows those same attributes in his own journey. There is a reason why everyone else at Camp Half Blood so willingly rallied behind him and trusted him as leader, and it wasn't just because of the amount of times he had saved the world at that point. There was a reason why so many people were drawn to Percy, and not all of it was just Aphrodite playing with his love life.
Long story short, Luke and Percy are basically the same character with just how much they have in common, and I think it's time that we talk about it more 😌💜
(Ps. Sorry I wasn't on here for a good bit. I'm ok, life has just been... Rough. But I'm back to my usual delusional ramblings again 😌👌)

Oop here we go
Percy really thought he had seen it all, heard it all. He had been at camp for years now and had no idea that this was a common thing. He stares at Annabeth who had gone back to reading her book as if she hadn’t said one of the most terrifying things to exist. “I’m sorry I don’t think I heard you, the Gods sometimes WHAT?” He asks slowly
It was after he had asked where Pollux had gone as he hadn’t seen the for a decent amount of time only for Annabeth to calmly say- “Sometimes the Gods will swallow their kids. Is that really a hard concept to grasp?” She says looking up from her book with a light frown. She was giving him the standard, ‘really seaweed brain?’ look which made him wince slightly. “Yes? No one told me that! That’s like a crucial part- like what if dad tried to Kronos me and I like stabbed him or something?” He squeaks out glancing towards the shores anxiously as if he expected his father to do just that.
“No one told you- oh I keep forgetting that you didn’t see the film.” Annabeth sighs chewing on her lip. She set her book aside and brushed her hair out of her face A twinge going through his chest when he notices the grey streak, the sun casting over the small scars she had gotten in their trip in Tartarus. She was beautiful as always, and he found himself getting lost in her stormy grey eyes. “I don’t think your father will, any of the elder Gods avoid it... The younger generation does it a lot actually.” She pulls her knees to her chest looking away from him.
Percy sits there next to her before lying down on the sand. He guessed they should try to relax, that's why they were here after all. Normally he would sit at the bottom of the lake but. After certain events, being in the water too long made unpleasant memories taunt him. His throat closes to the memory of wet earth suffocating him and the stinging of poison. He puts his hand in his pocket when something touches him before relaxing when Annabeth squeezes his arm.
“Will talks about it, there's a comfort about it because demigods are tied to their godly essence. It’s a sense of being complete.” Her voice soothed over any anxious feelings that had been building up. He could listen to her for hours, not sitting still but he could still listen to her. “Weird...they just...how do they even do it?” He whispers closing his eyes, grimacing at the thought.
There was a beat of silence, and he turned to get a look at her stifling a smile when he saw her face scrunched up, her nose wrinkling in concentration, her eyes darting about as she obviously gave it some thought. “I... I don’t know. We both know they can adjust size or forms, but if Mr. D does it then..there’s a possibility they can shrink us down as well...or transform us into something that’s easier to swallow in general...” Her eyes slowly light up and he can’t help but laugh at her curiosity.
“My mother’s never done it with me, she rarely does it with our siblings...It’s not that she doesn’t care, it’s just some Gods just enjoy it more I suppose.” she murmurs watching as the sun started to dip. The golden glow fading. She shifts to lay next to him, briefly closing her eyes. Peaceful...He hated it. Nothing was ever this peaceful. “It’s probably really gross too.” He supplies helpfully, smiling when Annabeth hits him on the arm and laughs.
“Don’t insult my mother’s stomach.”
“Why not? They’re all probably really gross! I’ve been in stomachs before they’re gross!”
They both dissolve into laughter, their conversation slowly drifting from what each stomach might look like, to adventures, their shared hatred of Gods and finally silence. It was dark now, the time when the harpies would come out, but they had wisely learned to leave them both alone. Apparently getting constantly sent back to Tarturaus after trying to get a meal wasn’t a fun time.
He smiles when he hears her breathing evening out, looking at her face. She was serious even when sleeping, her lips parted slightly as she dreamed.
“Sleep tight wise girl.”
Percy didn’t dare to try and move her, how could he? The sleep wouldn’t last long, he knew that. They both suffered from night terrors, and he was sure as much as her siblings loved her getting woken up by a knife wielding Annabeth was a bit much. Camp didn’t say much about them dozing off at weird places anymore.
He lets a breath out gazing at the water gently lapping at the shore, his thoughts slowly straying back to their earlier conversation. Sure, Annabeth had mentioned that the elder Gods rarely if ever came to swallow their kids but the idea of Poseidon doing it? Somehow it made him feel a tad upset. Maybe it wasn’t protection for most but where else would be safe for a demigod, truly safe?
The memory he never truly shared danced beside his eyes, a warm glow, a proud smile. The warmth of the memory soothed his nerves briefly. If his father ever changed his mind, would he have felt like that? A feeling of longing settled in his chest at the thought which he was quick to shake away. He wouldn’t need to worry about it, he could count the number of times he had seen his father in his hands.
“S’not like I’ll have to worry about it...besides its gross.” he mumbles to himself. It was something that was normalized apparently which only made him feel..left out. He closes his eyes feeling his chest rise with his breath. Whatever, it wasn’t like, the feeling of being left out was unusual.

Potentially unpopular opinion: I think personal loyalty is more Nico's fatal flaw than Percy's. I mean, Percy is loyal to the people he considers friends, but he's consistently able to put the fate of the world first (despite that being the thing that Athena was so worried about him not being able to do). It's really only his little field trip to Tartarus with Annabeth that's caused by his personal loyalty. Which is bad, don't get me wrong, but I don't think one event really qualifies for a fatal flaw.
Nico, though? Nico gets screwed over by his fierce loyalty and devotion to people he cares about basically every book. He gives his loyalty too fast, he doesn't revoke that unfaltering devotion even when the person he's given it to really doesn't deserve it (usually not because they're a bad person, but Nico usually gives a lot more than he gets without much by way of even appreciation or gratitude—much less reciprocation—in return), and he consistently accepts the consequences on himself; sometimes he manages to avoid said consequences (for example Hades isn't quite able to bring himself to blast his own son to bits for trying to push him, Persephone and Demeter to join the war against Kronos, so Nico manages to avoid getting hurt over that little request from Percy), but more often he... does not. His little trip to Tartarus is a notable example: he made that choice, because it was what the gods and the camps needed, and it very nearly destroyed him. And in TSatS he intends to put himself through what is basically the closest thing in the setting to actual hell for a second time because someone he's loyal to needs him.
And Nico is an incredibly loyal person! The only time his loyalties come into question is when he's put in a situation where he has to choose between two people who both command his loyalty; the incident in Last Olympian is the perfect example, where he's forced to choose between loyalty to his father and loyalty to Percy. But his loyalties are questioned regularly, because of... well, mostly just because of the incident in Last Olympian, which seems a little unfair given he ultimately put his loyalty to Percy first and it was apparently Percy telling the Seven about that time Nico "betrayed" him, but whatever. And just in general because he knew about both camps and said nothing, which is unfair when you consider the gods, Chiron and Lupa at least all knew and kept their mouths shut and their loyalties are never questioned, but again: whatever. Nico is perfectly, unflinchingly, unfalteringly loyal to the gods (and specifically his father), the camps, and Percy in particular, frequently to the point of doing serious damage to himself, and he basically never gets anything in return! Hell, he willingly chooses Tartarus and when he somehow manages to survive and come back he gets... the Seven (minus Hazel) all thinking about how creepy he is and how weird it is that this kid who had to survive Tartarus alone and then spent a week in a jar slowly suffocating to death isn't super friendly and cheerful. Nico's loyalty constantly screws him over and never gets him anything! I don't know, that feels more like a fatal flaw than "Uh... grudges" when he never actually keeps grudges.

Sometimes, I literally CANNOT with any specific pjo character stans. Ok, I take that back. Specifically Nico stans.
WHY DO THEY BLAME EVERYTHING ON PERCY????
Now, my favourite character is Jason and or Reyna. THEN NICO.
BUT WHY DO THEY PUT THE BLAME OF A CHILD ON ANOTHER CHILD???
No. Bianca’s death was NOT Percy’s fault. It was Zoë’s for advocating Bianca as a quest member when she was just put into the hunters not even a week before. It was Bianca’s for taking the oath of Artemis and entrusting Nico to Camp half-blood. No. It was NOT Percy’s job to protect Nico. It was CHIRON’S. It was only Nico’s perception of Percy being his hero that led him to believe he was more than just two years older than him and also a child. And yet who was the one to tell Nico the news about Bianca’s death? Percy. Nico had a right to be mad at Percy. But Percy never actually promised to protect her. Now, obviously, in the eyes of Nico, it was a promise which his in real life hero had made. Which is why Chiron is in the wrong for making Percy go and tell him. Bianca’s death? Either Zoë’s or Bianca herself’s fault. Nico’s reaction to said death? Strictly Chiron’s.
No. Percy’s reaction after being imprisoned was completely normal AND SO WAS NICO’S. If you put yourself in they’re shoes, either both of them were in the wrong or none of them. Nico didn’t know what Hades would do with Percy, but he STILL GAVE Percy to his father so he could learn more about his mother. Percy had every right to be angry. “Nico was a child!” So was Percy. Percy was also currently freaking out about the war. The war that was happening at that very moment. If what Nico did was fine, so was Percy’s reaction. Imagine this, a kid that you took on a huge prophecy for just so that they didn’t have to carry that burden just sold you out to their father who then took you to a prison cell with no air while you have to worry about your friends up in the real world because, oh, sorry, you’re in the the world of the dead. I THINK ID REACT THE SAME TOO. “But Nico was the one who got Percy out.” So? You’re saying just because the person who lost your trust and hastily got it back means that you’ve automatically forgiven them? Didn’t think so.
No. Percy WAS THE ONLY PERSON WHO AGREED WITH HAZEL WHEN THEY WERE DEBATING WHETHER OR NOT TO SAVE HIM FROM THE JAR. People often times like to put Percy with Jason and Leo when they were debating saving him or not. Percy was right by Hazels side.
Now… this one has recently come to my attention, but people put the blame of Bob being left in Tartarus on Percy? I kid you not, I just saw someone say that it was Percy’s fault that Nico and Will were going to Tartarus. That was literally the post that made me write all of this. I’m not going to say any names but wow. How could you even think that when Percy was the FIRST to advocate himself to stay on Tartarus. Yes, when we first met Bob and found out what PAST Percy did to him, everyone was mad. But Percy showed CLEAR redemption for that. I’m not quite sure what bob was asking, but it had something to do with his memories. Annabeth was quick enough to assure Bob to keep them as they were (not fully there) and yet Percy was the one who remembered back to when he himself lost his memories and told Bob that it was up to him to decide. I feel like that was one of the scenes that really stook out to me in that genre. Back on the topic of it being PERCY’S fault that Bob was stuck in Tartarus, Bob said it himself that even if Percy OR Annabeth stayed, they wouldn’t be strong enough to hold all of the monsters down. It literally HAD to be Bob the one that stayed. Not to mention that Percy quite literally broke down the second they got onto the elevator because his loyalty, yeah, remember how loyalty is his fatal flaw, was flaring up after leaving Bob there. It shows even more how much Nico stans automatically put the blame on Percy any time Nico has to go through something because 1. How would it be PERCY’S fault if it wasn’t even his fault that they fell?? If you want to put the blame on ONE of the people in Tartarus, the most you can say is that it was Annabeth’s fault since she was the reason they fell? I’m not lying when the person said SOLELY Percy’s name in the post that I am talking about when they put the blame on Bob.
There’s probably more, but like I’m too lazy to write anymore.
IMPORTANT!!!
Know that when I wrote this, it was never set out for ALL Nico stans.
When I wrote this, I took into consideration that there are ferocious Percy stans who act like Percy has never done any wrong. He has. But this post was just showing a couple of occasions where some Nico stans constantly put the blame on Percy when it was clearly not his fault.

So here is an idea with a slightly dark Percico, during the time where Percy has amnesia, rather than deny knowing him, Nico in a moment of weakness says that they are dating that he missed him so much. Percy goes along with it, seeing no reason not to trust Nico and something about him being his boyfriend just feeling right. Eventually they reunite with Annebeth who is pissed at Nico for lying but can’t convince Percy that he is, making Nico into even more of an outcast, only for Percy to reveal that has already gotten his memories back long ago and now that Nico has lost most of his friends Percy has him all to him. Now they can be messed up possessive people together
Nico couldn't take it anymore.
The glares, the disappointment, everybody looked at him like he was a monster, and not even for the reasons they usually did.
If it was about being a son of Hades, Nico would at least feel outraged, like he didn't deserve what was happening to him, but this time it was different, this time he deserved the scorn of those around him.
"What's wrong, babe?" Percy asked, concerned. Nico bit his lip.
It had been a moment of weakness. Percy had just said he was important to his nonexistent past, and Nico had just said 'Well, as your boyfriend I sure hope so!' He had planned to dismiss it as a joke soon after, but Percy had just nodded like it made all the sense in the world and kissed him as an apology.
Nico hadn't been able to come clean after that.
"Percy, we need to talk," Nico said softly.
"Is Annabeth giving you trouble again?" he put his arm around him protectively. Nico saw a dark shadow fall over his eyes. "She really needs to stop that. Like I'd ever go for her when I have you."
Yes, things had only gotten worse once Annabeth had landed on New Rome. Nico had been sweating bullets. Surely seeing the actual love of his life would return Percy's memories. Then Percy would hate him for lying and taking advantage... again.
Yet what happened was even worse. Percy had rejected Annabeth, saying that he knew they were friends, but that he had rejected her to be with Nico. Percy weaved a story from the half-truths Nico told him and his own imagination, but the way he had talked made it sound as if Nico himself had been feeding him all those stories.
Annabeth had tried to claw his eyes out, and had only been stopped by Percy. The daughter of Athena had demanded him to break whatever spell he had put on Percy, but her boyfriend had refused to believe her.
"She has calmed down a lot," Nico lied. After Percy had remained 'loyal' to him, Annabeth had tried to prove their relationship with pictures and witnesses, and everyone had believed her, even his sister... everyone except for Percy. "It's about um... us."
Nico was now not only the untrustworthy son of Hades, he was also a homewrecker, an oportunist who had bewitched an amnesiac man into forgetting his girlfriend out of sefishness.
Everyone had turned their back on him, except for Percy, who kept kissing him and complimenting him like nothing was wrong.
"Did I do something wrong?" Percy's voice had a tint of worry as he looked around. "Was I too clingy? Or too clueless?"
Yes, Percy had been, but that was not the problem. If anything, Nico felt guilty over how much he enjoyed Percy's affections.
"No, it's not—"
"Is there someone else, then?" Percy's gaze turned possessive, even darker. At that moment, he was reminded of Poseidon being the god of storms and earthquakes. "Don't think I don't notice."
"N-notice what?" Nico couldn't help but stutter. When angry, Percy was almost a force of nature himself.
"Jason Grace and Leo Valdez, they look at you sometimes," Percy said dangerously. "Everyone should know that you are mine."
Nico blinked. No. There was no way that Percy was that oblivious.
"They look at me with nothing but disgust!" he finally exclaimed. "And they're right to do so!"
Percy's face softened as he turned to hug Nico properly, combing his fingers through his hair.
"Nico, there's nothing wrong with you... with us," he said. Nico wanted to scream in frustration. "If they can't accept us, we're better off without them."
"It's not about acceptance!" Nico sobbed. "Annabeth was telling the truth. You are her boyfriend, not mine!"
"Nico, you don't—"
"I lied Percy!" Nico screamed into his shirt. "That kiss you gave me on Camp Jupiter was our first. You've never seen me as anything but a friend or a traitor. I took advantage of you!"
He just wanted it to stop. To at least mend the relationship with his sister, even if everyone else, including Percy, hated him.
The son of Poseidon just hugged him tighter.
"Oh, Nico," he said, sounding disappointed. Nico braced himself. "I already knew."
Nico's eyes widened, he tried to pull away, but Percy just held on tighter.
"What?"
"My memories came back during my quest with Hazel and Frank," Percy explained. He caressed the top of his head. "I have known you lied since before Annabeth came back."
"But then why—?"
"Honestly, it was pretty hilarious to see her all mad," Percy laughed. "I almost cracked then and there, but I needed to keep at it, until everyone took her side, at least."
Nico shivered. It had all been Percy's ellaborate plan. To alienate Nico from everyone who could be on his side. To make him even more of an outcast. All to get back at Nico for lying about their relationship.
He didn't know the son of Poseidon could be that machiavellian.
"I guess I deserved it," Nico whispered. "I'm really sorry, Percy."
"Sorry for what?" Percy asked. He seemed honestly confused. "You know what I remembered when I got my memories back? How devoted you are, how many times you have saved me, how much you're willing to do for me. How utterly perfect you are."
Nico wasn't understanding. What was Percy getting at?
"You even lied to have me for yourself." Percy's voice was filled with amazement. Nico felt the hug tighten once again until it was almost painful. "But I also remembered all the people who could take you away, just as I realized how precious you were to me."
"Percy!" He struggled to get out, but Percy didn't let him.
"People like Connor Stoll and Will Solace, always looking at what's not theirs," he continued, almost snarling. "I knew if I wanted to keep you, I needed to make sure they wouldn't look at you twice."
Nico's heart was hammering in his chest. The worst part is, he wasn't sure if it was from fear or excitement.
"You did all this... so I'll stay?"
"I remember Nico, you have a knack for just leaving," there was a reproach in Percy's voice. "But that's in the past. Because now you know how much I love you."
Yeah, and now there was nowhere else that would take Nico in.
"It hurts, being hated by everyone," he admitted quietly. Percy's hug became slack.
"I know, and I'm sorry." Percy at least sounded sincere. "I know I made it worse but... I couldn't lose you."
And it was like something switched inside Nico's brain. Like everything made sense now. He had always been an outcast anyway.
But now he had Percy.
"You'd never lose me, Percy," he said, giving him a kiss. "Because I'm as yours as you are mine."
And Percy smiled like Nico had just told him the moon really was made of blue candy.
"I'm glad we both think the same way."
Nico nodded and kissed Percy again.
The whole world could hate him for all he cared. Percy was his, and it was more than worth it.
