#cw: emotional abuse #cw: gaslighting #cw: animal death #charity - a god whose name was only ever meant to be ironic #i love playing with the concept of religion like this #im not religious at all but i did go to a christian school for twelve years #and i remember learning about the story of abraham. who long story short gets told by god to kill his son to prove his love for god.#and at the veeeery last minute god goes sike! this was a test to see if you'd do it! here's a lamb to slaughter instead #but the whole concept of that exchange in and of itself is so #anyway #one thing i meant to include in the creative notes but i ran out of room for is that charity never calls cunning by his name.#it's just “fox”. which was a small touch to indicate that he never acknowledged cunning's identity outside of being something exploitable.#but for all charity's hidden disdain for cunning #he still stole all his strengths and coveted them. he became known as the fox god.#so maybe some part of cunning survived. despite everything.#“give me your heart.”#“my god. it had always been yours.”#comic art #hearteaters #stillindigo art #stillindigo comics #one more comic to go until im finished with this collection!!

There are people out there who genuinely think that the Starks aren’t thematically linked to ice in a way that is meaningful and central to the story? What?? I mean, never mind that they’re characterized as exclusively living in a frozen land, it is said that a Stark who goes south of the Neck melts. It’s not like their ancestral sword is called Ice. It’s not like they rule a castle called Winterfell. It’s not like their house words are “Winter is coming”. It’s not like their banner is a direwolf (a creature that is now synonymous with the snowy north) running on what is described as either snow or an ice-white background. It’s not like they are consistently characterized with having icy or cold demeanors to the point of it being a house trait (e.g., Benjen, Ned, Jon). It’s not like they ruled thousands of years as Kings of Winter. It’s not like the Starks, the wolves, are said to be uniquely suited to surviving winter. It’s not like a big part of their house legacy and how they even came to be is the construction of a giant ice Wall. It’s not like a key historical event in the last couple centuries is the Pact of Ice (Stark) and Fire (Targaryen). Apparently none of that matters 🙄 It’s so disingenuous to claim that any house with First Men blood would take on the role of ice. No, that’s a special characteristic given to the STARKS, and their connection with ice and winter and snow has thematic relevance.

#I think yall don’t like it because of the whole jon being ice + fire which is usually used in arguments of him being tptwp #and I won’t say too much on that particular point #but like did ppl skip that chapter where he has a prophetic dream of his destiny and is represented as both???#the duality of ice and fire is important and unique to jon-we don’t know what the ending will be but it’s important #the Starks are uniquely and thematically linked to ice and winter in a way that no other house is #and it is meaningful for jon to be both BECAUSE A CENTRAL THEME IN HIS ARC IS DUALITY!!#which often presents itself in his heart in conflict with itself like #house stark #asoiaf

#kingdom hearts #kh1 #phantom #heartless #my gif #this one seems appropriate for halloween #the phantom casts a spell that creates a timer above the head of one of your teammates #you have 12 seconds to cast stop magic on the neverland clock tower to freeze the timer. it's a cool way to utilize the environment #however #if the timer reaches 0 then your teammate is killed immediately and their icon and hp/mp bars are removed from the screen #their heart releases itself from their body and they fall limp #they remain permanently dead until you defeat the phantom as they cannot be revived in any way #pretty unsettling stuff haha #it's a really unique fight and i like that you can't just brute force your way though it. you have to be patient and observant

Honestly the sheer hatred for the Minecraft movie trailer and simultaneous mini resurgence of people talking about mcsm has me going back to that game.

Replaying it now and. I’m gonna sob I didn’t realize how much I missed it

#I missed my blocky blorbos so much #it’s not a perfect game by any means of course but. it’s so genuine.#like yeah the characters can sometimes be a little mean and there’s some writing choices that sometimes feel a little cynical but #compared to so much content filled with irony that doesn’t let itself fully be what it is out of some fear of being lame #Mcsm genuinely has heart and is earnest #Like even if it was made as a cash grab at the time it feels like the people were actually trying to run with it and craft a good fun #creative story #which is FAR FAR FAR more than I can say for what the Minecraft movie seems to be #I missed you Minecraft story mode I missed you so much #mcsm #minecraft story mode #Minecraft
