Uh, NO ONE in either season has ever referred to Lestat as "the Brat Prince." Yes, Louis said in 1x6 that Lestat was a brat (derogatory) for not killing Antoinette, but he didn't call him a prince. So where is the Talamasca getting this information from? Is this something DANIEL calls Lestat in the actual book/tour?

I like that the Talamasca is letting it be known that the Cloud Gift is NOT a "baseline vampiric power." This is NOT something the average vamps can do by default. The Cloud Gift is the mark of an exceptionally strong vampire, and it's a BIG deal that Lestat can do it pre-QotD, cuz it implies that he drank A LOT of Akasha's blood the very first time in the 1700s, unlike book!Lestat. Which means Les is MUCH more powerful than he was in the books. And also means the Ep5 fight was NOT EVEN.

Lestat is "KNOWN" to Turn humans against their will--wuuut? 🫖👀 Wait--how are they gonna spin Lestat turning Nicki then? 👀 Cuz the argument can 100% be made that neither Nicki nor Louis were in the right or healthy mental/psychological state to properly CONSENT to become vampires, esp. since Nicki was actively losing his mind and Louis was roaring drunk & suicidal. What's more is that doesn't this scene feel WRONG to some people? This is literally the cliche anime fanservice scene where a girl's scared and horrified in a very sexual position, then she says the classic "YAmEtE kUdAsAI!!" but of course it doesn't stop and the girl is publicly humiliated. There are multiple people present yet no one does anything until the fanservice has fully fanserviced, and it contributes nothing to the plot. Oscar said she smelled like a werewolf, this does actually move the plot forward, but couldn’t it have been done in any other way!?

What's more is that the girl was literally SA'd and it's considered comedic. But I guess what else would you expect from a fujoshi who writes yaoi? This scene isn't SA? It very much would've been if it was an actual person in Oscar's place, but please don't act like none of you know this is to satisfy fantasies of sick people. The animal doing it is the ONLY thing that stops it from being SA, what's more is that the animal is MORE than self aware. Don't act like you don't know Yana didn't just make an animal do it to get less criticism.

The girl is touched sexually without her consent by something she's PETRIFIED of, she CAN'T fight back as she fears that it could result in DEATH. And then some creepy ass demon comes over to nonchalantly pull it out, tryna act cool, and then starts smirking like the mf he is. Like WHAT are you smiling about? F*** off fr. The world would be a better place without you.

And if this really doesn't matter then lets look at the main issue shall we? The disgusting issue that continues to exist even now, a problem STILL not fixed. And also the biggest reason why I hate Yana with all my heart.

What. The. F*** is her issue with constantly fetishizing and sexualizing Ciel, a 12-13 year old boy? She's constantly making him wear strange clothing against his consent, and he and Sebastian, even if they're not in a BL, often interact in very inappropriate scenes. Let's not act like she doesn't know most of her fans are obsessed over Sebastian, and she literally writes him in that way. Doesn't this count as fanservice? She makes him have sexual scenes, and writes and shows him in a way that appeals to both Fujoshis and crazy fangirls. Like Sebastian's mere existence is fanservice, and him and Ciel are literally yaoi bait. They're obviously NOT canon, if Yana made them canon her whole career would end, so she lets out her sick fetish fantasies and writes to appeal to showerless fans by writing them subtly sexual/fetishized scenes. You can't even deny it. It's all there. The end.

She said some sort of rude things during her interviews. She messed up. People are cancelling her everywhere, making video essays about how her career is ruined, calling her names, insulting her looks, now they're shaming her for having body hair. She needs media training and y'all are acting like she killed somebody. You hate Snow White remake, I get it, I wasn't gonna see it either, nothing about it looks good to me, but I love Rachel's singing voice from the trailer. I didn't watch her in any other movie so I don't know if she's a good actor or not, I didn't even pay attention to her before. However, I don't think that she deserves THIS amount of hate. She'll definitely learn her lesson after all this and be better next time. But all this cyberbullying is too much. I don't think she deserves this.

I occasionally wish to reach out to old friends/acquaintances I haven't spoken to since high school/some other even earlier time in my life, but I have SOOO little social energy even for required tasks (like making dr phone calls or etc), I never have any leftover for extra ones, and it would be very odd to message someone I haven't spoken to in like 5 years out of the blue but then take 4 entire months to respond back lol.. I ought to be well accustomed by now to the fact that I live in backwards-land when it comes to most physical/health things, but it still confuses the heck out of me that eating food saps my energy so drastically.

Today was a classic example: I woke up in the morning full of energy, peppy and motivated. I was dancing around the house, getting a ridiculous amount of chores done, listening to music, having a great time...

...and then I had breakfast. Now, it doesn't really matter what the food in question is - my usual breakfast is either oats with a bunch of toppings (seeds, nuts, fruit, yogurt) or else eggs and toast - and today it happened to be a piece of pita bread with homemade guacamole (avocado, tomatoes, nooch, spices, lime juice) plus a protein shake.

And I have felt like a ZOMBIE since then. Exhausted, limbs heavy as lead, and I spent all the rest of the day on the sofa because I couldn't muster up the energy to walk from one room to another.

This happens so consistently. Whyyyy?! Why does my body hate food :(

been a while since I've had a baking set-back so I guess I was due 🤷‍♀️

tried out a vanilla cake recipe today. said to bake it for 'about' 30 mins. ended up baking it for 32 mins cause I know my oven and also when I tested it at 25 it wasn't done. tested it at 32 and the tester came out clean. left the 8 inch rounds on the counter to cool

came back out to the kitchen to check them after 17 minutes. one had collapsed, the center of the cake THAT I HAD TESTED WITH A TESTER THAT CAME OUT CLEAN was totally caved-in, the center total mush.

since I wasn't gonna take the time to make frosting to frost busted cake I figured 'oh well, i'll just taste-test the cake. that's what the whole thing was about anyway. I already know how to make buttercream!' tasted weirdly like corn bread. thought I was having a stroke.

took a chunk to my brother and he was like 'this isn't bad but it tastes like.... corn bread? kinda? it's weird. I mean I'd eat it but it doesn't taste like vanilla cake.'

back to the drawing board for a vanilla cake recipe 🙃

There's all these women on youtube and tiktok who talk about interests of mine like ADHD and historical costuming and fiber arts and I know some of them make a living off their content by now, but every time they mention their husbands etc. part of me assumes it's a situation where her share of the household income is like, part-time job level, and he's the one actually footing the bills behind the scenes for things like their house.

I know, I know. If you get a big enough following, making online content can actually pay a LOT now, especially when people diversify it a lot--youtube and tiktok and patreon, doing ads in their videos, etc.

And I also know that the reason I am Suspicious is because of The Toast--I assumed the folks running it were like, maaaaybe middle-class. But after The Toast closed and Nicole Cliff started posting in other places I realized--her and her husband are actually rich as fuck, and as far as I can tell the money is from her husband. A huge home in suburban Utah, horses, she has a favorite aesthetician and gets botox and just...yeah it's not so bad to run the kind of site that will never entirely pay for itself (The Toast was never going to make anyone wealthy lol) when you're not worried about what you'll do if it doesn't.

And I'm not saying I don't think she should've started The Toast! It was an amazing website with articles I *still* sometimes link to people, even though all the cultural references are dated now, and at least half the images aren't working. The Toast paid their writers, and that allowed them to publish a shit-ton of amazing content.

But it always felt (to me!) like she portrayed herself as the kind of city-dwelling nerdy feminist librarian type that was a lot of The Toast's readership...not someone in a McMansion.

And there's some folks on youtube where I'm just....you do not have a high enough follower count on this incredibly niche material for you to be paying for that nice place I see in the background of your videos, plus all the cameras and lighting and mics and editing software.

It must be nice, to have that kind of financial freedom. And I'm glad their spouses are willing to support them like that.

But I wonder how many possible content creators are out there whose amazing stuff we'll never see because they're too busy trying to pay rent.
