As the only non-crazy person, Xie Lian brought up the rear. That treasured shovel of the Earth Master was indeed magical, and with only a few strokes, a new tunnel of over ten meters was dug. - anybody remember mulch diggums from the artemis fowl series? this is much more dignified than that but i think this is only the second time ive read a character just starting digging a tunnel as a plot point

okay so much is going on i wish i hadnt spoiled who certain characters actually are for myself but i have no one to blame but me for a) not blacklisting spoilers at all and b) just having a little freefall through the tags. oh well. anyway heavenly college admissions scandal except way worse. the corruption extends to the heavens and the windmaster is having a very bad day

im gonna keep it real im getting tired of how often we get told how handsome hua cheng is. i know its all xie lian’s pov and while im not terribly familiar with it i know what genre we’re working with and im assuming thats pretty typical. its something i dont much care for in general and idk maybe it sounds better in the original but ngl its starting to make me roll my eyes. love you goth king but god okay we get it.

i guess what i will say about hualian so far is that overall i like them and i like how they interact in general they have a lot of nice moments and they just genuinely seem to like each other which is really nice to see EXCEPT for when it actually comes to things that could be romantic or sexual which is a shame bc i dont think it has to be like this. again disclaimer that im only reading a translation and dont know everything might not have all the knowledge necessary to accurately criticize etc etc and im assuming a lot of this is expected from the genre (disclaimer to this disclaimer that i cant say that for sure its just based on things ive picked up about the bl genre over the years) but idk like xie lian was so distressed after their underwater kiss scene. it was kind of uncomfortable to read and maybe im being unfair i know his cultivation is based around abstinence or whatever but idk i dont care for it. and that scene alone doesnt have to be a bad thing like idk i guess its his first kiss ever (?) and it would make sense if he feels weird about it but i just have my doubts thats going to be addressed or resolved in a satisfying way. also im like. dude everyone is like centuries old. xie lian’s been on earth for 800 years. has he really never met or heard of a gay person during all this time? maybe he hasnt idk what he got up to yet maybe that’s actually a thing. also same thing with the reactions from the immortals to xie lian in a dress and characters like the windmaster like again you’re all centuries old and its not uncommon to be able to just completely change gender presentation. why are you all weird about a man wearing a woman’s dress? i just feel like that shouldnt be a big deal to these characters idk

also again not going to lie part of this that im not really a big fan of reading romance in general. yes i am reading this book. yes i do read and write a lot of fanfic that includes or centers romance. im multifaceted. but really what im talking about is the like physical side of it and descriptions im extremely picky about it. ill give an example. early on in the torture pit (or whatever it was called i cant remember lol) when xie lian kind of accidentally felt up hua cheng in the dark when he was being carried. i dont think thats a bad thing to have happen between the two romantic leads i think thats fine and good to include that early but i just did not enjoy reading it when it happened idk maybe it was the wording and i do think that moments like these work better in a visual medium. ive definitely read het romance that reads like this and i wasnt a fan of that either lol same with fanfic i get tired when writers go on and on about how hot one characters finds another character. this isnt a huge criticism of it like i said im picky but again like with the way that hua cheng is described it just makes me roll my eyes sorry kings

okay back to the reading. this whole saving the fishermen thing feels like a big set up for something narrative-wise. hua cheng specifically insisted on coming and i know one of the characters involved ends up dying im wondering if thats now it would be a good time tbh if things get just a bit too unfortunate during this heavenly calamity... and the brothers are notably not having a harmonious time... also tho it feels very likely we’ll just have another Hualian Moment (tm)

He will love how passionate you are to your dreams, and how much you want to succeed. Bah, freaking Zen, literally so much like, so perfect for you! He isn’t as intimidating as you are at first glance. If anything, he is the opposite of you, Zen first looks like he wouldn’t harm anybody, but then you will the intimidating parts, such as his anger or his lust. Another thing about Zen, that I think would be perfect for you would be the fact that he is extremely extroverted, but can also become easily drained. And with the fact that you are both, you would be able to help him with his ups and downs, when he is extroverted, but then when he is drained and would rather be more introverted. You would essentially be his battery! Since you are both!

Appearance wise, Zen would be the type to care a little more than the other two, but nonetheless he would still love how you look! He would love how tiny you are, and would love how you are kind of the opposite of him, with your brown hair and brown eyes and tan skin! He would love all of it! first off anon bless u for being on my fandom blog that takes courage cause it’s a wicked hot mess over there lol and secondly to everyone else yes im about to spend an embarrassing amount of effort overanalyzing an anime man, no u shouldn’t apply this logic to diagnosing real people u don’t know or urself, no its not that deep but yes u can fuck right off if u wanna cry about me headcanoning ur favs with “shitty” illnesses. eat my dick.

But now down to the good shit! So I actually think bakugou has comorbid aspd/npd. But for this since u said u already see him as having npd I’ll just focus on the aspd criteria but im totally down to talk more about npd as well if u wanna. (the rest is under a cut because frankly mobile users would have drawn and quartered me otherwise)

So first im gonna go thru the dsm v criteria that are required for diagnosis that bakugou fits/exhibits (leaving out the few things that don’t pertain to him just for length and also because not every person has to fit every single criteria to qualify)

1. Significant impairments in personality as manifested by

a. identity (self esteem derived from power, pleasure, or personal gain), self direction (goal setting based on personal gratification, absence of prosocial standards and culturally normal ethical behavior)

katsukis entire sense of self is built upon his ability to “win” and to always be number one and come out on top. He absolutely cant stand to be viewed as less than that because if so, his entire sense of self begins to crumble. Part of the reason he’s so antagonistic towards Izuku in the early chapters is the fact that Izuku challenges that identity. He (unintentionally and intentionally) challenges katsuki and wont give way to him (which is the right thing to do, but we see how “well” katsuki handles that). He also doesn’t have a good sense of “prosocial standards.” katsuki has created his own internal sense of morals and values, he’s decided whats worth his time and effort based on his own opinions and not on what society deems worthwhile behavior. He’s constantly getting admonished that his attitude “isn’t that of a hero” because his values are different than the ones of the society around him. But he doesn’t care, as long as he “wins” then everythings good. And its not until he stops “winning” and his behavior begins to get in the way of his goals does he begin to realize that he has a problem.

b. impairments in interpersonal functioning as manifested by lack of empathy (lack of concern for feelings, needs, or suffering of others) and lack of intimacy (incapacity for mutually intimate relationships, use of dominance or intimidation to control others)

I could frankly write a whole essay about just this bit alone but I’ll try to condense my thoughts. So. Lets talk about katsukis lack of empathy. This boy wouldn’t know another person’s emotions if they walked up and punched him in the face. Which they do. On multiple occasions. But I digress. Katsuki is known for his shitty bedside manner, his lack of concern for the feelings of others is literally what cost him his provisional license, but aside from with Izuku (who we’ve established is a source of Baggage for katsuki and shouldn’t be counted among his normal behavior because at the start of the series they BOTH bring out the worst in one another and overcoming that is part of both of their character arcs and growth and a main theme of the damn story. Win and save. Save and win. Ahem. But again I digress) katsuki isn’t vindictive or cruel in an unnecessary way about other peoples emotions. He doesn’t use them against people, it just doesn’t occur to him that they exist. But as we see katsuki grow and begin to try and change his unhealthy behavior, we see that he’s not oblivious of others emotions in the same way todoroki is (who I headcanon as autistic along with izuku (who also has adhd), but that’s a whole nother post lol), he just doesn’t know what to do with them. He can handle things like kirishima feeling insecure, because he can logically talk to him about how strong he is to encourage and support him, but really struggles with more intimate and open forms of emotional support, like with Izuku.

He also struggles with forming prosocial bonds and friends. At the start of the series katsuki doesn’t have friends, he has lackeys he controls with intimidation and fear because he doesn’t know any other way to be. He has trust and intimacy issues and doesn’t like people getting too close to him because he feels displays of vulnerability are what makes someone weak (see those asocial morals and values we talked about earlier). After his time at UA, a few large helpings of some humble pie, and the diligent and hard work of a small group of fearless idiots (aka kaminari whose literally too prosocial for his own good and has zero self preservation instincts, and kirishima who has an endless supply of patience and understands empathy and other peoples emotions to a degree that’s baffling to me) he is able to start deconstructing that idea and realizing that u can be vulnerable and let people close to u and still be strong. That the mortifying ordeal of being known isn’t actually the worst things ever. Also that when confronted with people who aren’t actually afraid of him, he doesn’t know how else to deter them from getting close to him. The fact that none of the other kids in 1-A take katsukis shit and even go so far as to pick on him and mock him and call him out on his bullshit is a MAJOR turning point for his socialization skills.

2. pathological personality traits in the following catagories

a. antagonism, characterized by hostility (persistent and frequent angry feelings, anger or irritability in response to minor slights or insults, nasty mean vengeful behavior), callousness (lack of concern for the feelings and problems of others)

I mean. Do I even have to expand on this point? I feel like no

b. disinhibition, characterized by impulsivity (acting on the spur of the moment in response to immediate stimuli, acting without a plan or consideration for outcomes, difficulty establishing and following plans), risk taking (lack of concern for ones limitations and denial of the reality of personal danger, engaging in potentially risky and self-damaging activities without regard for consequences)

this is a criteria where u have to adjust for the world these characters are living in. but even then, by hero standards, katsuki is still impulsive. His teachers are constantly admonishing him in the early series for charging headfirst into a situation, loosing himself to his emotions and anger, and letting things get the better of him because hes not taking the time to properly assess the situation, this also bleeds into katsukis inability to work with others or ask for help. He charges headfirst into a situation by himself, blows up anything in his way, and then asks questions later. His teammates are often left totally in the dark to his plans, motives, or other moves and have to just play catch up to him the entire time. In the deku vs. kacchan 1 fight we see this behavior come out in full force. He has no plan, he blows up half the building with zero regard for their goals, and leaves iida completely in the dark. Momo pointing this all out and dragging him for filth during the recap is another wakeup moment for him, having to confront the realities of his impulsive and negative behavior whereas before he was only praised for it.

so if we take a look at even just that, which is still about ¾ of the diagnostic criteria, I think u can see where this really starts to explain his personality. Katsuki is hot headed, angry, impulsive, stubborn, selfish, he gets in his own way more often than not, he struggles with prosocial behavior, making friends, and relating emotionally to others. He has a hard time comforting people and usually does so in a blunt and logical way, he isn’t great at sympathy and being soft, kind, or gentle with other people. It takes a considerable amount of effort for him to realize where his world view and his morals and goals are warped and doing him more harm than good, and he absolutely cant stand to be vulnerable or honest about his feelings with others. 

All those things, imo, as someone with aspd & npd, are what make me feel like hes a good character representation of what the complexities of living with these disorders is like. Katsuki isn’t inherently a bad person, and as we see him grow and change, we see the ways in which hes becoming better, but its still hard for him. And despite what a lot of fandom thinks, if u look at the canon, the main person katsuki hurts with his behavior is himself. And I think that’s really important because people with aspd & npd are so often catagorized as abusive villians whose only goal in life is to hurt others. Whereas with katsuki we see where these things and this kind of thinking gets in the way of his goals and ultimately hurts him. and thats what I think makes him the most relatable and makes his growth all the much more satisfying. Katsuki is both fundamentally the same and an entirely different person from when we first meet him. his personality didn’t magically completely change, hes not just a tsundere whose suddenly all mushy feely and hyper empathetic, he’s just learning how to deal with his emotions and the world and getting better at being a healthy person.

Alright so I’ve been trying to figure out how to make these words and what my opinions even are considering this game has been out for almost a year now (KH3 existing is wild imagine it turning a year old) so this will be. mostly bullet points + incoherent and unorganized rambling forgive me

BAD THINGS FIRST lets get the salt out of the way

Literally everything with Kairi was oof. I still feel her relationship with Lea is incredibly rushed given the last time they were interacting in canon he was literally kidnapping her but go off I guess nomura they’re brother/sister friendsy now at least the fandom can sell me on that better than you can. I seethe with rage recalling that they didn’t even try to hide that killing her off was a classic case of fridging (“You lack motivation” FUCK OFF) and I have been angry since the day I was spoiled by leak stuff accidentally. I wouldn’t have minded her getting her ass handed to her if they made it look like she tried and gave us some moments where she did defend herself and get some victories and not conveniently cut away from the actually badly needed training montage (surprise! this is why we have training montages!!!!) and I get she was instrumental in rescuing everyone and the fact she wasn’t THAT bad speaks for how much she improved but it still just. bites that she still feels more like a satellite love interest than ever. 

Kairi was bad enough to get her own thing but tbh everyone who isn’t Sora also.. really suffers. The writing is really Sora-centric here and that’s not inherently bad (see good list) but it leaves a lot to be desired, especially since they dog pile the extended cast moments in at the end. There was no big confusion at Ven and Roxas sharing a face, no talks between characters who would have interesting interactions given their histories and circumstances, no obvious sign of development from anyone except maybe sea salt family and Aqua. They’re here to be more one-note than usual and resolve their arcs. Ven in particular (I’m totally not biased clearly /sarcasm) I feel is a big example given he was kinda in a really rough mental state at the end of bbs?? and 3 is exceptionally vague on just how conscious ventus was during his nap so I can’t even answer if he was able to give himself therapy the past 12 years or whatever

Anti Aqua is a damn cool concept but ultimately kinda pointless and I think we could have received it better if it wasn’t spoiled in trailers and wholly out of left field. Plus Sora coming in after what was pretty clearly set up as a Riku moment- while it gave us the incredibly gay press triangle to Sora + use a big keyblade made from ur love moment -was uh! really cheap!!!! and ruined what was clearly set up for being Riku’s thing with an almost nonsensical SIKE ITS SORA (it’s saved from being wholly nonsensical by 0.2′s opening foreshadowing + it still kinda makes sense for sora to at least help but damn if the narrative wasn’t leading us towards a riku moment)

Also everyone was hit really hard with the nerf effect in-narrative so unless you’re the dream team you’re screwed I guess and that. doesn’t quite work since it makes everyone else look... not great. And I think this is kinda a miscommunication on part of Nomura and the fans (IM MAKING ASSUMPTIONS TAKE WITH SALT) in that we kept saying we wanted people “saved” but meant having their arcs resolved in a reasonable way that preserved their agency and power and relationships, but got interpreted literally as “alright Sora comes in and solves every problem, is tough on stains, and makes julienne fries”

And yet there’s also a lot of mean spirited “oh no sora’s dumb and helpless w/out a second braincell” which was kinda funny the first couple times and I failed to pick up on it first go I’ll admit, but honestly? Yeah. they pick on sora too much. Donald and Goofy are the most guilty, and everyone else by virtue of not seeing Sora that much actually in-narrative are off the hook from me because they probably didn’t know how much teasing he’d been getting from his pals, but it felt kinda like they didn’t know what to fall back on between the three besides “oh donald and goofy pick on sora” which is cute once or twice but the amount he gets and how it clearly leads to his breakdown at the end is uhHHHHhhhHH hm.

As always the pacing is pretty awful where the disney worlds are somewhat relevant at best and then the end is 0-1000 but that is a usual KH gripe so its pretty low on the bar

Attraction flow is cute and neat at first but it gets.. really wearing towards the end and in the serious fights at the Keyblade Graveyard BOY are they a mood breaker

the “repeat the plot” worlds- Tangled, Frozen, Pirates -REALLY stick out like a sore, ugly thumb compared to the worlds that went out and did their own creative thing, and Big Hero 6 was.. cute? but kinda maybe too much of a breather.

Frozen also get an extra award for “Audio mixer most in need of firing!” because who the hell allowed the do you want to build a snowman scene.

They did nothing with Scala and I want a refund on that aesthetic if they’re not gonna do anything besides a framing device with it

HEY WAIT THERE WAS GOOD THINGS TOO!

Good news point that may or may not come to pass: Re:Mind DLC might fix some of the above salt! We shall see and probably know by the time this post is a year old sfjhdsakjgh

SORA! Sora was actually a character again!!!! holy cow they pulled up from the utter nose dive that was DDD!! god i love this dork and it was really fantastic to see him back to normal.

The graphical upgrade lost a lot of the squish and stretch that the OG graphics had but you know what? pretty. tastey. good graphics and better at doing more subtle emotions and hey have i mentioned Pirate’s glow up? Pirate’s glow up. The details in Olympus to recreate the swirly aesthetic of the clouds and explosions and lava is a great touch.

Worlds as far as levels go?? really good! They feel legitimately like worlds and explorable and with their own flavors and I LOVE battle and field themes x2 its really great I’m down for less worlds if they keep the quality. Hell we have NPCs!! maybe even too many npcs.

Writing OVER ALL/ON AVERAGE I’d say has improved a lot! It’s still not a literary masterpiece or anything but I found the disney worlds really cute and easier to get invested in even if long term they were less relevant than I hoped they would be. In every world there was at least one scene I found myself actually invested in. Like there was something to the writing that was legitimately more endearing than usual on average, and toy box and monstropolis were strong contenders for really good overall imo

honestly there were moments that- as moments -were incredible. Wayfinder reunion scene will haunt me, and Sea salt’s was good too, final world and rescuing everyone was jaw dropping, getting the LoD Back was also good, Union X, Xigbar exiting left stage pursued by a bear, wayfinder trio making a grave for eraqus, all the gummi ship scenes had great chemistry, beach party ending, hanging out with rapunzel for the first half of Corona is adorable as hell, all the nods to scenes in the movies, the easter eggs, like the game is not consistently amazing but it is peppered with stuff that I feel in a bubble ignoring surrounding context just work really really well

Damn if the end boss rush wasn’t thrilling as hell and honestly??? really good. Hard to parse out first flush but I think this was a good decision and added a lot of blood roaring urgency and wild turns, and even if I want to overhaul a number of things about the endgame I think this can definitely stay

Over all there’s some really glaring issues, but overall it’s KH really at its best. I’m not sure if it’s my favorite entry and I’m still really mixed + befuddled on just how exactly I feel and I think a lot of that is I had pretty high expectations and my own ideas of how it would play out since like. 2012. it’s really hard to detach from those feelings and ideas sometimes. But KH3 wasn’t bad! It could’ve really been worse, and the fact that it got out the door in the state that it was is a good deal

now here’s to the wait for Re:Mind and to see if it’s basically the content we’d get in Final Mix that could definitely bump up my opinion

finding out your other parent is doing so well off for him and his family. like its so soul crushing. like i am so happy and grateful that my little siblings have this amazing life and are so fortunate and lucky and literally have the world at their hands. but im so angry because why do they get to have it and not me? growing up was so hard and it was just my mom my sister and i and it was awful. and there were times we had no food and were starving and we didnt have money for the extracurricular classes or for new shoes and clothes and sometimes we had no power at all. and any “good” parts of my childhood werent even that good they were just something i had to force myself to get over and accept and be grateful it wasnt worse. but im not and im so mad because they get a pool and a nice house and parents who arent divorced and parents that they dont ever have to doubt their love and they get to go to college and they get to be normal and im so fucking sad because why do they get to have the perfect childhood leading into adult hood and life and im still struggling so fucking bad. its the little things even, like getting a whole new steam account decked out for christmas and having your own bedroom your entire life, having new clothes instead of hand-me-downs, and if you ever want your mom and dad at they same time theyre there. right next to you. its getting to go to soccer classes and being on lacrosse or cross-country, or taking tai-kwon-doe however the fuck you spell that, or just having a homemade birthday cake that your mom made and its video game themed and she does that every single year. i try so hard not to be mad or sad or jealous but im so jealous and bitter it hurts. i feel like my life is ruined but they get the perfect dream. and just because we have the same father doesnt mean we share anything in common or have the same opportunities. their future will be beautiful and perfect and mine was already ruined before i even had a chance to begin. everyone says theres second and third chances, that you cant give up because everything will workout, or they say life is shit and to just deal with it, and i hate it when they say that. its so disgusting and gross. how on earth can anyone expect me to just live like a ghost in the shell of someone i dont even recognize. i cant look at the mirror and and i cant look down to see my body and touching my skin against itself feels like im on fire and breathing hurts. the world is so painful and cruel and im so jealous that i want to cry. that i have cried. that i do. i wonder why he never picked me. why didnt i get to be the child he chose? whats wrong with me compared to them? i love them and i hope they have the best life but i wish it was mine instead.

  I don’t know.. I’ll talk about my family cuz that’s the easiest thing for me.

   Um…. I’ll tell you a story about myself.. eh..

    I was.. I was.. alright..uh.. I was born in Seattle, um.. but I moved to northern Virginia, like, two years after, and.. from there my dad started his, uh, his-- he started practicing law in Virginia. But then.. uh, not really but then, but it’s really.. I moved around a lot. So.. this is weird.

    Um.. I started out and I was predomnily—pre-dom-i-nant-ly raised in Loudoun County. um.. the.. I.. even within Loudoun County, because school districts changed a lot. Uh.. I lived in different.. mm I went to different schools, so.. it was interesting. Um.. my parents are both music majors, so they love music, and they’re like-- they’re-- like, borderline prodigy for music. And, uh, when I was, um, born, when me and my sister were born, they were both really really hyped about, um, us because they thought we would be like ~musical prodigies of the world~, but then, uh… they found out that that was not true the first practice

  When I first played piano, uh, my dad walked into the practice room and was like.. “you suck”

-muffled laughter-

  So I literally, from that day I was like “I’m not playing anymore,” so I quit piano. My mom, uh, she taught violin to me. Um… during practices, when she leaves the room, I would use the violin as, like, a biolax (?) with, and the, or like a shield, and use the bow as a sword and I would fight off imaginary things inside the library. Um.. so I knew violin wasn’t it, either.

  So, my parents gave up on me in terms of musical talents.. but.. I think….. there.. I.. I wanna say i..i.. I’m not really musically talented but I really enjoy music.. um.. not really so much instrumentally, but more so vocally? Or just… in terms of listening to music? Um..

  I got really involved within choir starting from middle school.. um.. I had a, I had this really… really.. I don’t know what else to say but fat –chuckling- choir director, um, he was like a, this, he sa-- he sang like an angel but he looked like… he looked like a—like the girl from Willy Wonka that ate the blueberry.

  but, um.. he taught me a lot about singing and music, so I really really enjoyed choir, uh.. so, like, that was in middle school.. um… I- I got really into singing and I did districts every year, um.. it was to the point where, where one year I actually got number one in districts, in terms of score, but.. uh.. and then my, my choir director, the chubby guy, he let me, um… he didn’t let me fr-- audition for regionals, but he let me do states. I got into states, but.. I don’t think he thought I was good enough for regionals, so then, after that, uh, a-after getting into states, I thought that was kinda the end for me, but I really really enjoyed that experience, um… I think… I think now since we’re kinda on the theme of music.. um..

  I don’t know… I don’t know what else to say…. But.. I really enjoyed music

  Oh, when I was growing up in music, I think, um.. the two biggest things for me and my family was music and food, um… if we’re not eating or cooking, my parents’d be practicing, um.. my dad would sing and play piano and my mom would play violin.. um… I wouldn’t really be practicing cuz im just eating, but

  um.. yea, uh…. All the time… we spent together is.. uh, even when we go out, its like we go to see concerts. Not like rock concerts, but we’d go to.. my dad always took initiative to take us to Kennedy Center or, um, different musical events, so that we would be more cultured, and also enjoy the things they enjoy, um.. cuz they’re both uh, mas – they both have masters in music.. um.

  ..the best part about having musical parents is that.. uh… they can express how they feel not only through how they speak to you, but how they play. Like, when my mom gets frustrated sometimes, she would just throw a little tantrum and just pick up her violin and play, like, angry music, but, like, its, like, angry but its so beautiful and that’s cuz she’s so good, so, its really fun to see how, um.. they use music in their daily lives, um.. and I think also.. music and their relationship has.. been.. it empowers the relationship, uh.. because the connections they make by playing music together is really, is really pretty, uh.. like, back in, uh.. back in NOVA, we had l—we had.. a really nice piano, and, every night my parents would play together. Uh, my room was upstairs like right above the music room, uh, every night I would hear my dad sing and my mom play violin to, like, worship songs, or just any classical music, so..

  I think... music has the ability to really strengthen relationships, and..

  now we’re talking about relationships, interesting.. uh.. speaking of relationships!,.. that’s kinda weird but, er- anyways, uh.. I think.. my mom and dad’s relationship is really special, um… they’re not particularly like, the stereotypical movie love, or like they’re head over heels for each other, but.. um.. they’re very consistent, um.. everyday they see each other.. like.. they don’t hug, they don’t kiss, they don’t hold hands, they’re more like brother and sister, but, um.. they.. they really show that they appreciate each other, um.. I think... that’s ideal? But, um..

  I’ll talk about my dad and my mom. I don’t know, I can only talk about my family right now, cuzilovemyfamly, um.. my dad.. he’s really hard working, um.. he makes so many sacrifices for us, and.. my mom, she makes so many sacrifices for us, she gave up her music career just to raise us, um… I think, as m-- as sm--.. whuh…  I feel—I feel bad for both my mom and dad cuz they did so much, like my dad, um, like, at one point in Korea, we were—we were like, so like ninth grade we moved to Korea, um.. I went to an online high school called George Washington Online High School, and… it was so expensive. like, it’s more expensive than the tuition here. Like, one year of that online high school is, would be like 8 years here.. so literally, my dad was struggling so much to, uh, provide financial support for that, and it was to the point where, um…

  its kinda down low but he sold all his valuables to provide for my education, um.. like, he gave up his watches, his rings, except for his engagement ring, and.. um, he didn’t—he didn’t even tell me until, like, like a year later; we were freaking out. Wer—we thought that when he packed the—his stuff, like, the Chinese people took it or something, like, umm.. he—he doesn’t like making us worry about anything so he would do everything behind the scenes.. and then.. my mom too, um…

  she never complains about how, like.. how.. she w—she—I guess she does regret not starting a professional career in music, because she coulda gotten really far, but she chose not to. So.. I think that’s.. a very big burden to me, um.. especially starting college now, like… I wanna do really well so that, um.. later on, they don’t have to make any more sacrifices, mm.. like… I promised my dad that I would work really hard so that everything he pays back we pay back ten times more. My mom, I wanna-- I wanna be able to, um, make her travel more cuz she loves traveling, um..

  So overall, I think… growing up… I got to see th—the highs and lows of my parents, um.. I’ve seen how… how f—money plays a part eh—and—how relationships, and how family, and, uh.. is a lot more important than anything else, uh, even though, uh.. we lived here broke, even if.. we eat, like, the same thing every single day, it’s all through love, so, I think, uh, family is a huge part of my life, uh.. and, I don’t know, I don’t know what else to say.

  and I have a dog! I got my dog in Kor—I’ll talk about my dog first. I love my dog. Her name is Kiwi, she’s about… - gestures to arm- the size of my forearm, um.. she’s 10 pounds—she’s 9.8 pounds, she has like golden slash brown fur, she’s a… she’s a mix.. we’re not exactly sure but we think she’s a little bit a everything, but, we got her in Korea, uh..

  At one point I hated her, but then, um, I think, she’s a big part of our family, she always makes us smile, um.. she’s really lazy, she loves to eat like us, uh, she sings along when my mom practices violin, um.. that’s my dog. I love my dog.

 Uh my sister.. she’s really needy, like.. she’s—she’s exact opposite of me, she loves—she loves, like, giving hugs to me, she loves, um, taking pictures, she loves, um.. she’s very…. Clingy?.. but..I guess that’s how she shows her affection towards me?.. but, I feel kinda bad cu—we talked about this yesterday, uh, she messaged me yesherdey—yes-ter-day, about how, how she feels

  she feels as though I don’t love her, and the only reason why I love her is because she’s family and if she wasn’t family I wouldn’t care for her. So, I felt kinda bad but it was kinda late so I told her to go to sleep cushe—I thought she was—she was going weird. She has these moments where, um…. I… she just becomes really weird. Like, uh... Sh—there was this time this summer, we were just sitting down doing homework and she would grab, like, the nearest fruit and, like, throw it at me, and she like… she’s weird. Um.. she played a really big part in how I was raised, uh.. cuz my dad’s always working, my mom taught a lot of violin, so, um.. a lot of the days it was just me and my sister, so, I think she raised me a lot.. she’s…
