Kinda on a remake spree of the whole Hyrule Warriors game - plot, designs, and all - just to pass the summer holidays. Ik it’s just a spin-off but it’s a really high quality game and it hurts that there’s so many plot holes in such a good game.
Anyway, here’s HW Zelda (or Athena for LU). Her original design is very pretty but as a woman who actively fights in a war, it just doesn’t really make sense in context. She has so little armour in strange places so mostly changed that. Also made her dress more free-flowing and Greek goddess-inspired. Kept her colour palette mostly apart from the hair to break up the light colours of the design.

Twi talking about his reader with Time and time putting together that his friend settled down and had kids and such. Upon first meeting Twi’s s/o he isn’t sure because she’s so nice and welcoming not like the woman who he knew that fought her way into her position until Twi says something absurd which leads to her ranting and eventually yanking at Twi’s ear challenging him that Time is like “ah yes this is definitely a descendent of hers” has been heavy on my mind lately.
time and twi being related is so integral to my sanity its insane.
time seeing pieces of the future, his impact, the impact of those around him, and his response to it all is also just as important.
(imagining a one-on-one grandfather-grandson time-traveling trip together because what are the rest of the chain gonna be doing except for looking like🧍🏼)
Tumblr media
"Why don't you tell me about your version of her? It's only fair since I've given you my share."
Time isn't sure how they started talking of you, but he's glad to hear you made something of yourself a few centuries down the line, even if he wasn't hearing it from your words as he would've liked.
There's an unsure look on Twilight's face before he quips back with "d'ya want the good ones, or the bad ones?" Uncertainty quickly turns into adoration. "Dream girl ain't got a shortage of either."
(If Time were younger, he'd certainly gag at the nickname. It was cute though, and after Twilight had explained his reasoning for calling you that, it added onto the level of sweetness.)
Idk why I started this off like it was a fic. Anyways.
After arriving in Ordon (or wherever else you two decided to live), Time would be a little more than conflicted because?? You literally kissed Twilight's cheek and gave him the most dreamy smile??? You are not your ancestor????? But he also doesn't want to call or think of Twilight as a liar????????
(To be entirely truthful, he doesn't think Twilight has a lying bone in his body.)
After being invited inside, Time is further confused by Twilight's telling of you. You offered him clean clothes, to bandage his scrapes and bruises, and asked him what he wanted to eat since it was nearing the time you usually started dinner.
Time doesn't even think his version of you knew how to cook.
Since the dinner table only seats two (for now. Twilight is always talking about how he's gonna build a bigger one for the future), you, Time, and Twilight are settling yourselves around the living room or whatever they were called back then.
"Shame Malon ain't here, huh Old Man?"
You elbow Twilight hard enough to almost make him drop him plate while hissing "don't be rude," and that's when Time finally starts to see the similarities between his you and Twilight's you.
"What? 'm not the only one that calls him old man! Everyone does! He said we could call 'em that to!"
"Oh, so it's your job to point out the obvious now? What if he was insecure about his age?"
"He ain't!"
The second thing that makes him reason that you really hadn't changed in over a hundred years is when you kick Twilight for pulling your feet into his lap while the plates were still present.
You said it was a hygiene thing, Twilight joked that it was because your feet were ugly.
There's a knot on Twilight's head now.
Totally unrelated but just had the brief image of Time laying in bed with Malon once they hit his timeline and he's just telling her all about his time staying with you and Twilight to try and convince her about moving the whole having kids things to now instead of later.
Also imagining him finding you in his timeline and just gossiping, asking if you've found anyone special to settle down with.
(Time looks like he gives and gets good gossip. He looks like he knows exactly what to say/do to get the good stuff because of everything from Majora's Mask.)
ANYWAYS.
Time sees a lot more of his you in Twilight's you the day after. Whether you work alongside Twilight or somewhere in the city (or not at all), he's able to see everything in your mannerisms.
(You asked if he wanted to do the equivalent of a ride-along while you were out and he's never said yes to something so quickly— except when Malon asked him out. Y'all are def talking about stupid shit Twilight's done.)
From how you haggle prices down, to how you drive away people who had less than innocent intentions (from yourself and others. He'd have a field day retelling how you verbally bullied a man for trying to steal from an older woman), it all just screamed his you.
As soon as he gets to his timeline he's showing up at your front door to catch up, trust and believe 🤞🏽

Finale of the Chain trying to figure out the timeline (Zelda edition)
DUSK: sorry… no
CHAIN: H u h
LULLABY: the timeline is off limits to talk about. You can literally ask us about anything else, just… not the timeline.
LEGEND: they better have an AA in this hyrule
WIND: um… why is it off limits?
SUNNY: the timeline is just one of those topics that each reincarnation knows not to talk about or try to explain. All of us (*gestures to all the Zeldas*) have seen what happens to the timeline and… well… we just decided not to deal with it.
DUSK: believe us, you really don’t want to sit down and really talk about it. From the timeline split…
FABLE: to the fact that the Fallen Hero timeline shouldn’t exist with what we know…
DOT: and the constant and never ending contradictions…
SUNNY: we all just gave up on it a long time ago.
FLORA: in the hundred years I held off Ganon, I got a good look at the timeline, and… really came to regret it because I get migraines now every time I think about it.
ATHENA: Hylia almighty it’s so complicated.
TETRA: anything but the timeline.
TIME: … Alright, changing subjects. *to Lullaby* did you know what would happen when you sent me back?
LULLABY: kind of? I knew it wouldn’t exactly fix everything in the time that I lived in, but I trusted you to try and fix it for another version. And… I wasn’t exactly thinking clearly.
TIME: yeah it’s all right. Probably for the best that it happened anyway.
LEGEND: speak for yourself.
FOUR: isn’t there a basic way to explain everything?
DOT: *sigh* not really. From the contradictions and chronological issues to the fact that no map of Hyrule looks the same, all of us are just done with it at this point.
TWILIGHT: back up back up… what was that about hyrule changing?
DUSK:
DUSK: you-
DUSK: there are nine of you
DUSK: how did you never notice…?
CHAIN: ?
*zeldas converge*
*five minutes later the chain is looking at maps of all of their versions of Hyrule*
WARRIORS: let’s go find that AA meeting
TIME: what… how… how the fu-
LULLABY: yep.
TWILIGHT: it’s… what?
FLORA: apparently Hyrule has very active tectonic plates.
LEGEND: Why does nothing look the same?!?!
DUSK: We honestly have no idea. Our best guess… Ganon.
*five minutes of silence later*
WILD: *to Dot* oh, by the way, we’re your ancestors cats?
DOT: wh-

Wars headcanons because it's a trend now??
He and Linkle are siblings, Wars is about 6 years older than her! They don't have other siblings.
He's a descendant of Twilight! They're distant relatives so Wars doesn't really recognize or know him! This headcanon comes from the fact Wars and Artemis/Athena are based on Twilight and Dusk the most, so yes Athena is a descendant of Dusk. Also I ship TP Zelink so theoretically Wars and Athena would be both descendants of Twi and Dusk and sk be distant relatives, but too distant to be considered family at all.
Wars was born in the countryside. A rural town was built around a well known ranch some time after Twilight’s adventure. And when Wars is a kid the ranch is inhabited by his grandmother, while he lives in a nearby house.
So, story time! His parents looked like good and respectable people. They didn't know much about swords, but the grandmother was secretly able with crossbows. When the first kid of the couple was born, they noticed the triforce mark and went crazy. They named him Link because he was going to be a hero, they began to spoil him, accommodate every whim, give him gifts like every day. The grandma pointed out it wasn’t good or healthy for him but the parents didn't listen. As soon as he could run without losing balance, the situation changed and even if he was still treated as the purest angel who couldn't be corrected or scolded (he couldn't do anything worng because he had the triforce, they believed), he began his sword training, that took hours every day and was exhausting. When he was 6 he got a sister, but apparently she didn't have a triforce mark on her hand. The parents were too focused on their Link and didn't bother to find a better name for her, they named her Linkle. While she was still loved, the parents treated the kids way differently. Linkle didn't get gifts every day, she didn't get training from a young age, she could make mistakes and get scolded (even when it was clearly Wars's fault). And mostly, the two kids couldn't spend time together the most of the times because Wars was often too tired to do anything other than sleeping after the training. The grandma couldn't stand that and decided to bring Linkle to her house/ranch and raise her by herself. She also taught her to use crossbows. She and Wars didn't meet again for years. In his teens Wars is sent to Hyrule Town to continue his training, it's hard for him at first because he was treated really differently at home. After being scolded too many times for acting superior, he learns modesty and teamwork. Then, when Wars is 21 and Linkle is 15, HW happens and they meet again. They're both heroes and they live at the castle. Their parents died in a fire some years before, and the grandma died shortly before HW.
Speaking of Linkle, she's the bearer of the rriforce if power. She didn't have it during HW because it was trapped in Ganondorf's spirit. After HW the triforce piece went back to the Sacred Realm but the day after it was already with Linkle.
Wars's hair is probably a darker shade of blonde, but he dyed it lighter. Why? Because Artemis/Athena is naturally a brunette like Dusk but chose to dye her hair blonde, and Wars tried her dye too!
Wars learned the scarf isn't really part of the tunic of the hero, and most likely a gift from his Zelda. That's one of the main reasons he's almost always wearing it, like Sky with his sailcloth!
Linkle will eventually teach him how to handle cuccos, he and Sky will be the "heroes with a long cape thing and the ability to hold cuccos"
Wind reminds him of his sister, he's 14 and Linkle is 16 during LU, their behaviors are kinda similar!
Yes his or Linkle's descendants will take care of the ranch in the future, one of these people is Makimi!

You know in light of (cough, cough) recent events let's post our favorite "facts" (can be canon, can be headcannons) about the LU cast that have no hetero or cis explanation
I'll go first:
LOVE that Wild is comfortable dressing in femine and Masc Clothing.
Artemis/Athena and Wars totally have nights where they gossip and Paint each other's nails.
Legend also has a similar tradition with Fable except they also do each other's hair and Ravio, Hilda, and Styla are invited.
Hyrule is a nonbinary LEGEND WE STAN.

Links and their relationships:
Sky and Sun are deeply in love. As of now, they’re in that phase where the other can do no wrong. Things will get hard as they begin to build the kingdom of Hyrule together, but they won’t ever really break apart. At the end of the day, they’re the only ones who know what the other has been through. They are each others comfort and safety. Both would die for the other but they also live for each other. They both had hard journeys on the surface and kept going in the hope of seeing the other again.
Four and Dot are technically engaged, but they just say they’re dating. They’d been friends for their whole lives when one day Four just goes “oh. Oh no. I think I have a crush on Dot.” The colors each came to this conclusion a while ago, but didn’t realize they all felt that way until this day. It takes weeks for him to build up the courage to ask Dot on a date. Before he even gets a chance to ask though, she visits the forge, gives him a flower and asks if he’d be her date to a banquet next week. Since they admitted they both had feeling for the other, it’s been pretty smooth sailing. Dot is the only person who knows how to tell the colors apart when Four isn’t split. Being around her makes him feel whole. Maybe it’s because of the Light Force that she holds, or maybe it’s because all the colors can agree that Dot is great. Who’s tho say? They got engaged after a Prince from another kingdom came around to ask for the Princess’s hand in marriage. Dot was very blunt in saying no. Her royal advisers had to scramble to try and save the situation before she pointed to Four and said “I’m already betrothed.” She later asked if Four was okay with that and he said yes. It’s unsure to most people if they’re actually betrothed or if it’s a lie to get royal suitors off Dot’s tail.
Time is married to Malon and they are perfect. They run Lon Lon Ranch together and are happy to take life at its own pace. Having lived three days over and over again, Time has both lost and gained a better appreciation for a single day. Malon is the only person he’s told everything to and who believe him. She can tell when Time begins to doubt he isn’t in the loop again and assured him this is real and time is passing normally. Being married to a hero who’s not known has its difficulties, but Malon loves Time and that includes the baggage he carries. Time does his best to make life easier for his wife. He also brings a child like magic to her life that not many adults can maintain. He makes sure that for every reassurance she gives him, he gives her a worry free mini adventure. As a Kokiri Child, he’ll never lose his childish side, no matter how old he gets and he brings that to his love.
Twilight is single and sad. In a perfect world, Twilight, Midna, and Dusk would be dating. Twilight and Dusk aren’t dating each other, they’re just both dating Midna. Twilight and Dusk are just good friends who love their shared goth girlfriend. Midna brings a chaos to both their lives that they didn’t know they needed until she brought it.
Wind is a child. He has a crush on Tetra…right now. That could change in a week or day, but right now he has a crush on the Pirate Queen of the Great Seas.
Legend is married to Ravio. Is there even any question about that? In the peak, ideal world (aka what I Headcannon), Legend is married to both Ravio and Marin. They live in Legend’s house and have an apple orchard. Legend makes instruments for Marin to play in Castle Town while Ravio sells the instruments Legend has made. They go on adventures together. Ravio and Marin are very flirty. Legend can be flirty, but he clams up a little when flustered. They each have a different love language. Ravio likes to give and receive gifts, Marin enjoys quality time, and Legend values physical touch. They all work to give and receive the others’ forms of love.
Hyrule and Aurora are in fact dating, but unless you’re directly told that, you wouldn’t know. They’re really chill with each other and act like two bros. Neither of them is especially keen on physical affection, especially in front of other people. They don’t make big deals of going on dates or getting gifts for each other. Most gifts given between the two are along the lines of ‘look at this cool rock I found and pocketed for you.’ They have a unique relationship and not many people understand it, but they do and that’s all that matters.
Warriors isn’t in a relationship. “Maybe he just hasn’t found the right person yet or maybe he’s just not looking.” That’s what people tell him, but he knows better. After everything with Cia, he’s not eager to jump into a relationship, now or ever really. That said, he is close with Athena (Artemis) and Impa. They’ll all gossip about people and vent about their week. Sometimes when Impa isn’t there, Warriors and Athena will talk about how Cia’s actions hurt them. They talk about how in reincarnations they never knew, their souls were in love and what that means for them. They’ve agreed that it won’t happen. Warriors admits that he’s sworn off relationships all together and Athena is the first person who doesn’t just say it’s temporary.
Wild…okay. Before Calamity Wild held back all his thoughts and feelings and didn’t allow himself to care about romance. Current Wild is heart broken. He only remembers bits and pieces of his life, but based on what he remembered, he loved Mipha. Now it’s too late though. He can finally recognize all his feelings for all the champions and now it’s too late. There are very few people who remember what he’s just trying to figure out. Wild and Flora are currently ‘dating.’ They’re not sure what they should call it, but they’re together. It’s not official and they can both see other people if they want. At the end of the day though, no one else understands their thoughts and feelings better than each other. No one else was in their positions. They find comfort in each other.

Twilight, awkwardly: Uh, you all right, Four?
Four: AM I ALL RIGHT? YOU THREW ME TO THE WOLVES AND YOU HAVE THE GALL TO ASK ME IF I'M ALL RIGHT? I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS, I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY BROTHERS--
Warriors, even more awkwardly: Well, in our defense you didn't tell us you were scared of green peppers before we asked if you could carry that old lady's groceries.

Alright, I just want to say first that I love this fandom’s Zelda nicknames. All of them are so creative and fit so freaking well.
There’s only one I don’t understand, actually. Can someone explain why Warriors’ Zelda is usually called Artemis?
I haven’t played Hyrule Warriors so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But I think, though the Greek god reference is fitting, Wars’ Zelda feels like more of an Athena to me— a goddess of wartime strategy and logic, rather than the (admittedly also great) huntress. I’ve seen a few works use Athena, but most seem to use Artemis.
Anyone know why Artemis is the more common nickname? Or anyone agree with using Athena instead?

Question for all fans: If the Zeldas were to have their own adventure similar to the Chain, what would their collective group name be?
The Chain are called that because many links make a chain, and surprise surprise, guess what our boys’ birth names are? However, the same logic can’t be followed because there are no objects named Zelda. I was personally thinking something along the name of the Crown, since out of 10 girls, 8 (technically 9 for Tetra) are royalty, but I’m not entirely set on the name at the moment. Any ideas?

Thou Shalt Not Fall: A Sad Tea Party
Warriors is confronted by three, worried friends.
A couple notes here! a) this is part 2! Part 3 is going up tomorrow! If you haven't read part 1 though, I think you can manage without it. b) you get all of these updates because I promised I would upload two chapters this weekend if Warriors won the tumblr sexyman contest. I'm sure you know the result if the first of two updates this weekend. c) I changed Artemis to Athena because quirkle gave me the strength to. No, it's retroactive yet, but it starts here.
“To the castle now?”
Warriors nodded. They've been in his era for a few days now and they've yet to find anything that warranted a band of experienced heroes. Sure, a few bokoblins here and there, but those battles turned into a competition with some of them trying to find the most surprising way to kill the bokoblins. So far, Wild was winning – he killed a couple with a mop. A mop. He knew Wild was good with a wide variety of weapons but damn, that was something else.
“If there's anything weird happening in Hyrule, Athena and General Impa would know. We should be there sometime tomorrow.”
Time nodded. He knew how it was.
“You looking forward to it, old man?” Twilight asked. “You know Athena and General Impa from the war, right?”
“I do miss Athena and Impa,” Time said with a smile. “I especially miss Proxi though.”
Warriors only hummed. Time would miss the one person who would let him get away with all of his crimes and even help him commit said crimes. He missed Proxi too, along with Athena and Impa, but he wasn't sure he could face any of them at the moment. Even plastering a fake smile for the others was hard and he was pretty sure that he wasn't fooling any of them, but they didn't ask.
He didn't miss the way Time looked at him with a frown when he failed to add anything to the conversation. It was difficult to talk to any of them when Warriors kept thinking about how he one day might tear one his brothers' throat out with his bare teeth. It was all too easy to imagine one of them laying on the ground, bleeding out from his neck, instead of the traitorous woman.
Maybe he should just stay at the castle and let the others leave without him. What any right did he have to stay with any of them? They would just insist he come along despite the dangers he posed because they were too damn kind for their own good.
“Warriors?”
“Hmmm?” He wasn't even sure who was addressing him.
“Are you alright? You've been really quiet and out of it since you ate all of that hemlock. Are you sure it didn't do anything to you?” Wind asked with a pout.
“Ah, it's not the hemlock. It's something else, but I don't want to talk to about it.”
And those were the words that would get everybody off his back. If there was one thing they all held close to them, it was their thoughts and their secrets. There wasn't a whole lot you could keep to yourself when you travelled with a bunch of people but they had their thoughts and secrets – until those secrets blew up in their faces, of course. Until then though, they kept their secrets close to their hearts and nobody pried until they really felt it affected the group.
The rest of the day went with everybody leaving him be.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
They reached the castle by late afternoon.
And that's when it all began.
A guard was assigned with guiding the others to their rooms for the evening while Impa and Proxi dragged Warriors away for a meeting with Athena. What kind of conversation would be just between the four of them? If it was about the monsters, shouldn't the rest of them be with him? Surely, Impa and Proxi recognized Time and Wind?
“Link!” Athena called out as they entered her study. She wrapped him a tight hug as Impa closed and locked the door behind him, then went as far as to close the windows as well, pulling the curtains across to darken the room. For a moment, the only source of light in the room came from Proxi and Athena's fireplace but thankfully, Impa was quick to light up some lanterns. Of course, the three of them would be considerate enough to close the curtains, but he really didn't need them to fret about him that much. He could handle indirect light, but he appreciated the thought nonetheless. “I've been so worried about you.”
“I've missed you too. I write when I can but I never know when the letters will arrive when I'm in another timeline.”
“It's not the letters I'm worried about. Please, have a seat.”
He almost didn't because it made him nervous, but she was his superior so he did as he was told. At the table, her guest table where she discussed reports with him sometimes, there was a steaming teapot and several cups. It made him wonder if she was expecting him.
“Tea? It's still warm.”
“Thanks,” he mumbled. She filled one of the glasses and he took it, bringing to his lips for a sip. It was unexpectedly fruity.
“We had a report of a strange murder from a town we know you frequent,” Impa started. He felt the blood drain from his face. Of course, the messengers were quick on their feet in peacetime and not when he needed them to be quick during the war. “Stabbed through the heart with a stake but the guards who reported it suspect it was the heavy trauma to the neck that killed the victim. Although I did not go see the body, the descriptions led me to believe it was the work of a vampire, and the stake was to prevent the victim from becoming a vampire themselves. Care to explain yourself, Captain?”
“She was a traitor,” he mumbled quietly, barely loud enough for him to hear over his roaring heart. He took a deep breath through his nose and let it out through his mouth, trying to calm himself. He never expected the murder to get back to the castle. He really should have hid the body. He thought it was good enough to just make sure the others Links never found out. “She tried to poison me and my companions with hemlock. I'm very aware of how it tastes at this point. I wouldn't care if it was just me but she put eight other people in danger and most of them had nothing to do with the war.”
“I'm not concerned so much with the reasoning, Link. I know you don't kill unless your life or the life of somebody you care is threatened. It's a decision you don't take lightly. I understand that part,” Athena said quietly, putting one of her hands on top of his own. Warriors almost pulled away in case she was preparing to kill him with her magic. It was the first time he found himself afraid of her, afraid of what she would do now that she knew what he did. “But what happened? Why did you use your powers to do it?”
“I...” He clenched his free hand tightly into a fist. His cup of tea went ignored.
“Link, please, we're just worried,” Proxi said. “You never talk about the vampire stuff. It can't be good for you to bottle it all up.”
“What is there to even say about it? Nobody's found a way to get rid of the curse and nobody knows how to help me. We can talk about it all we want, it wouldn't do anything.”
“Link-” Athena started but all his frustration was starting to bubble over and when he was frustrated, he started rambling.
“I wish I could tell you what happened, Zelda, but I really can't. I was going to drink her blood anyway because I wasn't going to let get away with trying to hurt innocent people and suddenly, I'm just covered in blood! I don't fucking remember tearing her throat out, I just know that I did. I didn't want to go that far! I just have this... fucking blank in my memory and there's absolutely nothing that can be done because I'm just some monster that everybody pities! Hylians can't help because they don't know what it's like and vampires can't help me because I'm just different enough that they don't understand what it's like either. I don't even know why I keep trying!”
He didn't realize he was crying until the tears splattered onto his pants. Proxi nuzzled his cheek.
“I don't belong anywhere, Zelda, I really don't. I thought I fit in with the other heroes but if I kill one of them too? What if I can't remember doing it?”
“Link,” Impa started. “All of the people you came to the castle with know you're a vampire, correct?”
Link nodded weakly, trying in vain to quell the tears in his eyes, to stop the tears from rolling down his cheeks. All he managed to do was silence the sobbing though. He couldn't fight the tears, apparently.
“Then trust your companions to help you. You may have been brought together to fight a common foe, but you should take any opportunity to learn from new people and new environments. If you're not comfortable with us, then trust them. Surely, nine minds are better than one.”
“Most of them rely on me for all their vampires facts.”
“Maybe that's what you need – people who don't know,” Athena said simply. “A fresh perspective might help. You need to tell them what's on your mind though. They can't help if you don't let them help, if you don't tell them what's going on.”
What if he did tell them that he was scared of hurting them and they finally rejected him? What if they did what he wanted them to do – to be careful around him, to be wary of what he could do – and decide that the risks outweighed any benefits he brought to the group? Warriors wasn't sure he could handle it. He viewed them all as brothers. He let himself get attached to all of them. The rejection, even if it was the best for them, would hurt. It would hurt a lot.
“I don't know,” he mumbled.
“I know you have a hard time accepting help sometimes, but you need to put your head in the game and stop feeling sorry for yourself. How can you work in a group if you have such concerns and can't bring them up?”
Warriors had a couple of responses but he bit his tongue.
“Impa, that's enough.”
Impa hummed but otherwise stayed silent. Warriors took the moment to try to collect himself as Athena took both of his hands into hers.
“Link, no matter what, we're here for you. You're always welcomed here. We just want to help if you will let us.”
For a moment, he didn't know what to say, so he raised his teacup again and downed half the cup. It wasn't the way he liked to drink tea, he preferred to take his time with it, but he was desperate to just do something other than cry. “Thank you. I appreciate it.” It sounded basic, but he meant it. It wasn't like he had any other home to miss. “What of the body? Does Lady Elena know about what I did?”
“We haven't spoken but I suspect she's aware. However, the general population doesn't suspect a vampire so you're safe in the regard. They suspect a monster, so Lady Elena won't try to murder you, I'm sure,” Impa answered. “Although it's unusual for a monster to go for the throat like that, it's not entirely unheard of. It only screams vampire to whoever is already aware of the existence of vampires.”
Well, they weren't wrong about that. It was a monster. As if she read his mind, Impa pinched his ear and twisted. He hissed and swatted at her hand.
“Stop it. We're not here just let you wallow in self-pity.”
Athena cleared her throat. “Lady Elena might want to have words with you, so I would advise that you head to the manor next if possible. In the very least, she might know something about how to prevent something like this in the future. Of course, you and your companions are welcomed to stay here for a few days to rest and collect your thoughts.”
“The real reason why we're here is for an suspicious monster reports.”
“How about we talk about that tomorrow?”
“But Zelda-”
“Seriously, finish your tea, and get some rest. If not for you, at least for the rest of them, got it? I'm not going to let you fight monsters when you're so troubled.”
He supposed she had a point, so he downed the rest of the cup and put it on the table. If it one of his soldiers in his spot, he wouldn't put them in a battle because distracted soldiers were bound to get themselves or somebody else hurt. If a fight broke out now, he wouldn't be able to focus on it and that could be disastrous.
“Okay, tomorrow.”
“Good. Go get some rest or take a walk, alright?”
With that, he and Athena hugged it out again and he took his leave. Proxi followed him out of the room, nestling herself in his scarf as he walked towards his room. He wasn't sure where the others where placed, exactly, but he had his own room regardless.
“You know you can talk to me about anything, right?”
“I know. I know you always have my back,” Link said softly.
He knew the others did too. He just... wished he could be honest with them.

Time remembers his reader his friend as someone who was determined and would never back from a dare or a fight. Hell she found a way to join the Royal Guard. So when Twilight is telling them all about his girlfriend he doesn’t think is friends descendant. In the nicest way possible she sounds to soft to gentle to be related to the woman who was his closest friend. It was his turn to keep watch, the woods were quiet all but the chirping of crickets and the crackling of fire before he turned his head only to see something silver pointed at him a couple feet away. Twilight only happened to be awake because he couldn’t sleep knowing he’s almost in his lovers hands he goes out further into the clearing but he sees Time staring at something almost frozen not in fear but in anticipation. ____ steps towards them, not the safest decision but the second figure looks familiar. “What are you doing on my land this late?” She called out still looking at Time before her eyes darting to Twlight. “____?” “Link?”
dyslexia kicked in a wholeheartedly thought you said "couldn't be related to the worm" 🗿🗿 i swear ik how to read
but assuming the [name]s look the exact same and have the same name in both time and twilight's times (like wtv is happening with the beedles), imagine how jarring it would be to see her? IMAGINE HOW JARRING IT WOULD BE TO SEE THEM BE ROMANTICALLY AFFECTIONATE?
"link, who are these men? where have you been?"
"ladybug, we're just a gang of links. this here is time."
AND TIME NOT EVEN REALIZING THAT YOU STUCK A HAND OUT TO SHAKE BECAUSE HE'S SO CAUGHT UP IN HIS THOUGHTS?

hey guys, I could use your help with something! Sue is a Black disabled mother, migrant, and PhD student at Newcastle University who urgently needs solidarity. Newcastle University is reporting her to the Home Office in retaliation for her complaint about her abusive supervisor, in full awareness of her Stage 5 kidney disease. this is a life-and-death situation.
here's how you can help:
retweet Unis Resist Border Control's tweet about Sue's abusive situation at the University of Newcastle
sign the open letter to Newcastle University by 22 May
pass a motion with your UCU branch (template here)
donate to help Sue find a kidney donor, apply to Leave to Remain, pay solicitor fees, and cover living costs
Sue's story from the #WeAreAllSue toolkit:
In 2022, Sue Agazie, high-achieving in her field, was promised financial support for her tuition fees through scholarships and paid opportunities and enrolled into the PhD programme at Newcastle University Business School with this understanding. When Sue arrived in the UK in 2023, however, she learned that all of this financial promise was a lie; the scholarships that she had been promised never materialised. Instead, she has gone into horrific debt and is having trouble surviving.
For almost a year, Sue sought financial support for herself and her family, including grants and opportunities that would burnish the reputation of her supervisor and university as a whole. However, in that year, her supervisor not only prevented her from applying to scholarships and paid opportunities, but further controlled her research and day-to-day quality of life, with a high-level of surveillance, inappropriate supervisory practices, and escalating harassment of both her and her family.
These practices include this supervisor repeatedly preventing Sue from taking part in important professional development activities, such as research presentations, within the Business School. He also isolated her from her senior colleagues, forbidding her from attending particular activities they were facilitating, or spreading malicious rumours about them. Further, the primary supervisor repeatedly ignored Sue's pleas for support on funding applications and other opportunities that would alleviate the precarious financial situation into which she had been placed, telling her to “stop sending me links to scholarships”.
This behaviour would culminate in the primary supervisor verbally abusing Sue a number of times, and maligning Sue’s husband, alleging that he has been too lazy to financially support her. These inappropriate supervisory practices belie Newcastle University’s commitment to gender equality under the Athena SWAN Charter, for which it holds a Silver award, and for which the Business School holds a Bronze award.
An environment of terror and retaliation
This environment of surveillance, harassment, and terror has grossly impacted the health of Sue as well as that of her spouse and children. In particular, her kidney condition escalated to stage 5 kidney disease, a severe and terminal illness that causes disablement and time-sensitive, highly-delicate medical needs, during this ordeal. The National Kidney Foundation in the United States indicates that “stress and uncontrolled reactions to stress” can “lead to kidney damage.” These compounding issues have also understandably affected Sue's studies, although she has bravely persisted in her research, meeting important deadlines.
Sue raised these issues using relevant avenues of informal complaint, including her supervisory teams and student support services; there are multiple complaints that have been raised in this department. However, she did not receive sufficient support. Further, her severe health issues were not treated with the urgency and importance that they deserved. In October and November 2023, Sue's supervisor accused her of allegedly plagiarising his work in what Sue sees as a malicious act of retaliation and victimisation over her informal complaint, and an attempt to sabotage her reputation not just at Newcastle University, but to prestigious global networks. Following all of this mistreatment, Sue filed a formal complaint against her supervisor in February 2024.
Newcastle University is closing ranks
The university came back to Sue on 5 March 2024 with its response, alleging that she had fabricated the complaint against her supervisor in retaliation for his accusations of research misconduct against her, painting this vulnerable, disabled African student as a malicious liar. The supervisor even denies the relevance of her terminal illness and implicates her young child's behaviour in his response, while maintaining that her terminal illness "has nothing to do with her studies or work pressure here". Sue maintains: “During the time that I was supervised by the primary PhD supervisor, he neither kept in regular communication about my disability nor did he signpost me to relevant services within and outside of Newcastle University that could help me. It is dangerous for the primary supervisor to maintain that my disability would not have affected my studies. His comments show a gross level of disability discrimination that does not befit the reputation that Newcastle University seeks to cultivate as an inclusive place.”
Now, the university is claiming that Sue is not "engaging" sufficiently with the programme, and is threatening to report her to the Home Office, despite a written promise in January 2024 that her status would be unaffected due to the ongoing complaint process, and full knowledge of her terminal stage 5 kidney failure. Adding more insult to injury, Newcastle University Accommodation Service has been hounding Sue for rent arrears, even though they know she is critically ill and in a complaint with the university, surviving with the support of Food & Solidarity. Sue has pleaded with the university’s Accommodation Service for a rent freeze, indicating her urgent health complications and her complaint underway with the university. In all correspondences, the Accommodation Service has ignored Sue’s pleas for clemency. There is real fear that the Accommodation Service will evict Sue, her husband and their child. This will, no doubt, cause real precarity to Sue’s already fragile health condition.
We are appalled that the Newcastle University Business School is utilising obvious misogynoirist tropes to close ranks around a disabled Black migrant student who has been treated horribly, and weaponising her precarious migrant status against her as she attempts to seek justice. We are also aware that Sue is not the only student in this situation and that there have been other complaints in this department. It is a stark illustration of the pernicious institutional racism at Russell Group universities that a disabled Black migrant woman with caring responsibilities has been treated this way not only by a supervisor, but by the institution, as well as the abject way these universities instrumentalise migrant students from the Global South as sources of income that they can afterwards dispose of.
Sue maintains that this ordeal has not diminished her resolve to complete her PhD studies at Newcastle University Business School. She says, “I want to finish my PhD research. But for that to happen, Newcastle University must provide the necessary support for a disabled student in a non-abusive environment. I hope that the university listens to me and we can come to a resolution on this matter soon.”

SS23 Orpheus Notebook: Personalization at its Best! [Simblreen 2023]
Greetings, fellow simmers!
Ever since the release of Discover University, I've been using "MyComputer UoG X19 Athena". While the Athena laptop has its charm with its assortment of stickers, they mainly revolved around universities and soccer—a hobby I don't personally share, neither do my sims. That's when inspiration struck, leading me to create something new and exciting: the SS23 Orpheus Notebook.
The SS23 Orpheus Notebook offers a world of customization with its three base colors (black, grey, and white) and a whopping 25 sets of unique stickers. In total, you'll have access to a stunning array of 78 swatches, allowing your sims to express their individuality through their customized computers. While crafting these swatches, I took great care to include a wide range of hobbies and interests, catering to every sim's preferences. Whether your sim is into music, cooking, plants, pets, science, or art, there's a sticker set that suits them. And for those who embrace the supernatural, fear not—I've ensured there are plenty of options for vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, and more.
Preview gif is under the cut!

But that's not all! The Orpheus Notebook comes with an ACTUAL SIMLISH KEYBOARD, adding an authentic touch to your sim's computing experience!
You can locate it under the Electronics / Computers category in build-buy OR simply head to the search box and use keywords like "sovereignsimmer," "laptop," or "notebook." It is very affordable; reliability is not the best but not the worst either. Despite its low-poly design, the textures are high-quality. When you adjust your graphic settings accordingly, you'll be able to appreciate all the intricate details.
UPDATE 2: Fixed tuning, it is now BGC & added live-drag functionality. Please redownload & enjoy!

[Patreon, Always Free ♥ But your donations are greatly appreciated!]
PS: I've also made an override for Discover University notebook, upscaled its textures with AI. In case you want it, I'm dropping link here. Xx
