Hi, it's nerd(y)/prude time.

- There's a photo going around with Grace Chastity having Hello Kitty socks. My HC for her is that the day she finds out that hello kitty isn't a cat but a girl, she becomes physically ill and loses her mind. Reasoning and logic: it's fuckin hilarious to think about Hrace sobbing about hello kitty not being a cat.

- Ruth's binders and folders are all Lisa Frank themed. She also runs up to Richie and Pete singing Symphony. 100%

- I fully support all of the transmasc Richie stuff, so obviously, that's all there. He also owns a blahaj and forces Pete and Ruth to accompany him to pride because he gets nervous about the crowds and everyone around there. I've also seen the ones where Richie makes sure he always has snacks for Pete wherever he is. Which then brings me to the claim of, he wears a small cross body bag whenever he's out in the wild. It's got pepper spray and one of those multi-use safety tools in it. Gifted to him by his family pre-transition.

- Pete's first job was at his dad's shoe store. He also has a strong connection to the homeless man. He often brings him sandwiches on his lunch break. Funny enough, it's Ted who advises Pete to be careful around him.

- during covid, everyone would get together on discord and play jackbox games online.

any ideas for what kind of clothes kotori wears once she's in ninjago? It's fun to imagine her experimenting with the new variety and styles she would be exposed to. Would she go for more comfort or style? Does she have any preferences or would she try to follow middle school fashion trends to fit in?

I love this ask! oh man, it makes me want to draw Kotori in a bunch of different outfits...

I think at first she would typically go for things smiliar to what she wore in the Never Realm. oversized sweaters, leggings, winter boots... She runs a little cold so she would wear all that stuff year round. she would favor simple patterns or solid color stuff.

i don't think she'd try to dress in a certain way to fit in. shes not quite as lost when it comes to her identity like other middle schoolers. she's been alive for 50 years after all- she's got a pretty good handle on herself. i think if anyone did try and bully her for her style or anything else she'd be like "...why would i care about what you think?" and keep it pushing.

i do think over time she'd start to branch out and really enjoy more fun outfits. checker print and graphic tees and colorblock type of stuff. she's wear more jeans and sneakers and move away from athleisure altogether. no more leggings really.

she loves gaudy schools supplies tho. themed backpacks and a unicorn shaped pencil case. lisa frank notebooks and binders....

my experience as a trans boy: i forget the last time i felt secure in my body because of my way of self-expression

the way i express myself is through my clothing. simple stuff! but no, i dress in decora kei fashion, a style usually worn by girls. it doesn't help a single bit— in fact— it makes it worse— that i wear skirts because they look nice. no teacher has ever, ever, ever naturally called me a boy. i've always been referred to with "she" until i correct them if AT ALL!!! sometimes i correct someone and they will still call me a girl because i FUCKING LOOK LIKE ONE!!! I ALWAYS HAVE!!! ive been told by a few people "oh i thought you were a cisgender guy when i first saw you!" and im going to tell you that is a fucking lie. anyone who has ever said that, im convinced was lying through their teeth, through their screen, to make me feel like im not a complete failure of a boy. my face is feminine, my voice sounds like a girl's, my chest is apparent even with binders, and, of course, i dress girly. i tried to dress like what people think of when they think of a boy once: a plain old outfit. and guess what??? i didnt feel comfortable! people at school, some i didnt even know, asked me what was wrong because i didnt look like a walking lisa frank artwork. one of my friends even got mad, got appalled, and told me to "put the color back on." and i really wanted to! and I DID bc i wanted to!!! i can't fucking win. i try to give myself the slightest chance of being seen as a boy by the majority, and im not happy with how im dressing. i express myself through my clothes and love what i wear, but im constantly reminded that i will never be a real boy and anyone who's told me otherwise is lying to my face to make me feel better. trying to "be myself" isn't working. everything ive tried hasnt worked. i do not feel good in my body. being trans isnt cute, it's not something to WANT. i know others are proud of being trans, and that's amazing! i admire people who feel good about themselves, genuinely. im not saying that in a sarcastic way, i dont like being sarcastic. but for me, being transgender is fucking hell and that's why i never tell anyone unless they ask. i just want to be seen like a normal boy
