favorite parts of today's episode of last twilight bc I'm still thinking about it hours later:

1. mohk swearing up and down that he hasn't told day he liked him. uh huh whatever you gotta do babe. you might not be lying but you're sure not truth telling. technicality at best At. Best.

2. gee instant journey from skeptic to shipper. get you a best friend who is ready to tear you down and hype you up in the same conversation tbh

3. this is actually like four things. a) i'm calling mohk all the way out on point 1 because he knows the kiss was tantamount to a confession because what he says is he /just wants day to know how he feels/ without saying anything further about his feelings I see you you little sneak b) this sad boy :((( who is going to Do The Right Thing Again and keep his feelings very thoughtfully to himself c) yeah i'm not actually mad at mohk at all and to be honest the reason is I'm sort of mad at day this whole episode. i know baby is in denial but i wish he would stop implying mohk is anything but the fuzziest softest boy

4. /i'm leaving. don't want to get chased away again/ /wait up. can you read to me?/ nong day take your head out of your ass o'clock. tend to your cold hearted bad boy you both want it and he is suffering

5. right after mohk agrees that he's the last person that fits the "warm and nice" description he warmly and nicely points out the location of the food he has just made for and served to day and warmly and nicely tells him to eat up while looking at him...you know what warmly and nicely do not do it here. with absolute adoration and tenderness

6. called tf out. porjai is so fucking funny. namtan's timing on the weighted glances here is fantastic. out of this world. no notes. i adore her

5. day telling mohk that he can feel rung's warmth in the house and mohk gazing back at him like this. softest! boy! alert!

...the real question is why are they still letting everyone talk about mohk like he's some sort of lean mean toughness machine. did they not know jimmy was going to make him into this? honestly that's my best guess bc visually impaired or not nobody in mohk's life could be this blind to his words and actions

6. so we're all in agreement that they're getting married before we put this thing to bed huh. fucking superb p'aof you funky little director. do us right

7. ok i /did/ think for a hot second that day was about to push mohk away romantically again and i was ready to be mad at him again and then WHAM angst drop. p'aof just can't help himself and you know what nor can i i eat this stuff Up. mohk visibly panicking as he strokes day's hair and uses his best gentle voice to calm him down i. eat it up i'm telling you

What if Leo and Usagi kiss under a mistletoe. Will they actually do it?

(For those who have not seen the Christmas Aliens episode; Raph’s operating a movable mistletoe to help Casey get a kiss from April and Mikey is missing for most of the Christmas night, getting chased around the city by some thieves).

Well… no. Not yet anyway and for quite some time.

It’s 2004, world wasn’t very kind to gay people back then, or helped much with figuring things out for young queers (I would know, I was one). He still needs some time to precess. He just found his first best friend and he’s cool and strong and makes him happy and that’s all he wants to think about rn.

On the other hand feudal Japan was surprisingly okay with two men being involved romantically (despite the problematic side of things… good place to remind everyone 03 Usagi is a teen as well), so he’s a little confused by Leo’s mixed messages.

It’s okay, they’r still kids figuring things out. And when they will, there’ll be time for kisses.

I’m in love with how they are giving so many subtle hints about Alhaitham and Kaveh’s relationship and how important it is to Alhaitham, despite the way they always seem to be bickering.

Throughout the 3.2 archon quest Alhaitham tells us that the reason why he is so interested in helping Sumeru is because he doesn’t want his daily life to change. After that Kaveh starts being mentioned very frequently by him or we hear other people in the akademiya complain about how they daily argue.

Then, of course, we meet them both arguing with each other in the House of Daena, which was quite the argument. We also know many of their casual interactions and how they go to the café/bar frequently together. Furthermore, Alhaitham pays all of Kaveh’s bills (something no one would do for someone they don't care for).

And now, during Alhaitham’s quest, their tones were so soft (At least in JP and CN) and also domestic. Kaveh seems to worry a lot about Alhaitham and exchanges glances with him, which made me melt inside. I also love how Alhaitham is constantly smiling while bickering with kaveh. Remember, we dont see him smiling like this that often. Which means he really enjoys it. I really liked how after the second time Kaveh asked him if he is okay, he replied with a tease about the painting Kaveh had mentioned before. Also smiling.

But most importantly, something I see no one talking about: the moment when Alhaitham was explaining why he resigned from being the Grand Sage to being the scribe again and he tells us that “It’s important to keep your priorities straight”, the camera points at Kaveh.

I know this game will probably never have any canon ship because they need to make everyone happy, but we do get hints like this from time to time and I think this was one of them.

After all, why would they bother to add all of those scenes with Kaveh when the quests had already concluded, if not for showing us how is what is Alhaitham’s daily life he wants to protect that much? We saw how happy he is, how eager he was to get home and go have dinner with Kaveh. We also see how Kaveh had been waiting for him as well.

I’d like to know more about their relationship, even if it ends up not being romantic (though how do you explain that face Kaveh made when paimon asked if they are friends).

This moment. This kiss. The amount of things going on here. It packs such a punch. This is a turning point, and this is an instance where they are not communicating their true feelings and know about it. Because what they need to say is simply too difficult. They are well aware of the cracks in their relationship, but they love each other too damned much to deal with them. Which is so human. I mean, do I like the fact that they're heading towards separation? Of course not. Do I buy it? Absolutely.

They have been through so much. Trauma heaped upon trauma. Death, death scares, abductions, the loss of their child, everything they've seen and done. On top of that now, there is his isolation. Nobody can carry somebody else's happiness on their shoulders all on their own. It breaks you. It's too much. But those two have always been there for each other. Always. And the very fact that they only have each other means they can't acknowledge the fragility of what they have, not even their own fragility, because they're aware of the other one's wounds and don't want to burden them with theirs, for fear of breaking the only thing they have.

And at this point, they know they have been quiet for too long. They have arrived at a point where talking simply won't fix it anymore. And what is so painful about that is that they love each other more than ever. All of that is in this moment. He tells her they can go away, just the two of them. He's begging her to stay, to turn their backs on everything and start over. She looks at him like she wants to believe him so badly, wants to believe that they can run from the darkness.

That kiss is so heartbreaking and beautiful because it's hope and despair at the same time. He's telling her that he knows things are broken between them, but they're still them, they've always made it through everything together. And she's telling him that this isn't them anymore. She wants to stay, but she just can't see how. The one thing they agree on: they don't want this to end.

The way she's crying into the kiss. The way he is so gentle with her. It looks like a kiss goodbye from her, and from him it looks almost like a wedding kiss, as if he'd just promised her forever. And in a way, he has. And in a way, she has too. It's an affirmation of love, of undying devotion, and of clinging with all their strength to something that they can feel slipping away.

They are still so desperately in love with each other, and they can't imagine being apart for even just a day. But the sad truth is that love is not always enough. They have taken terrible care of themselves. Just like you're supposed to put on your own oxygen mask first in the event of a loss of cabin pressure, you have to take care of your own well-being if you want to be able to take care of somebody else. They need each other like they need air. But they also can't go on like this.

I firmly believe that post-revival, they will be together forever. They will get their happy ending. But after everything they've been through and after years of pretending like they can take care of themselves and each other, it makes sense for them to arrive at this point. And still it is heartbreaking to see. They are it for each other. They're each other's person. But sometimes, that is not enough. (And sometimes, you still find your way back to each other and finally find a way to make it work. And they will.)
