seeing another (i think?) gay transsexual man call himself butch made me sob my lights out in a very long-needed way today

#journal #i cant find the quote rn but there was that one lesbian writer who talked about FTMs and the very literal cruelty of kicking people out of #literal community on a technicality #being a gay trans man often feels like being kicked out of communities on technicalities #and so your existence in a queer space becomes either 'implicitly lesbophobic' or 'implicitly transphobic' or 'implicitly homophobic'#and you live in this rhetorical no mans land where no person on planet earth is willing to budge a little to allow your gray areas in #but you are supposed to be endlessly forgiving of everyone else's e.g. the cis het people in the space being DL for fucking ever but still #needing endless grace and forgiveness #which yes absolutely be here be in the social circle but for god's sake if you're going to do that #and going to include overtly vocally cis straight men in queer and trans spaces because it's exclusionary not to #dont treat me like a fucking animal for being friends with a friend of yours #dont treat me like a walking time bomb #i dont mean to sound cruel it's just #it's very painful to 'technically' be predatory based on your identity in every queer space you try to befriend and enter in

By the way, when I say that I really do believe that we will make it, I am 100% saying that as someone who has been following good news extensively + basically daily for over two years now, and has come to that conclusion slowly and deliberately, based on extensive available evidence. It's not a platitude. I genuinely do mean it, and I could write you a whole dissertation on all the reasons why.

do you guys ever think about how, when troy started messing with abed in 1x05, and they have that interaction like

“because I’m barack obama’s nephew”

“why are you telling me all this now?”

“I didn’t know if I could trust you. but now it’s time to tell you everything”

abed probably finally felt like he was really connecting with troy? like he was finally making a real friend? I mean troy was trusting him with his deepest secrets. to then find out that troy was just messing with him, and that those moments of percieved true friendship were just lies for entertainmemt… ouch.

and then him trying to adapt to troy’s view of friendship throughout the episode and him just being painfully wrong and going too over the top.

plus, troy’s position that “friends mess with each other” must originate from his high school experience. I’m sure he himself got messed with a lot as a kid/teenager. so, he learned to tell when people are lying for fun to him, and he learned how to do it to others. there’s a lot more to be said about that but again. Ouch!!!

I mean, of course it all ends well, with troy realizing that friendships don’t have to be built on surface-level pranks, and abed realizing that troy had been a real friend all along… and just them both realizing that they do genuinely care about each other, and that they’re each different from any other friend or acquaintance they’d ever had before. but yeah.

and this is all literally episode FIVE. stop it

#plus this is literally their first storyline together. shdhdjdjd #they’re just constantly teaching each other that having friends doesn’t have to always be like it once was!!!#that there’s so much more to life than what they each experienced in high school!#plus I could write a whole essay about how troy’s experiences are kind of overlooked. like I know he was a popular jock but #high school him definitely has a lot more depth than that and idc if it’s not technically canon. put me in the writers’ room #(after the strike is over obviously hashtag pay the writers)#anyway. I don't see why he wouldn't be! I imagine that the Daycare Attendants' shell skin is made out of a material that's soft to touch and capable of feeling things so people and children feel more comfortable around them cuz it makes them seem more "human"

I recently changed degrees and I am doing sooo much better. This time last year my semester average was 46%, this semester its 72%!!!! I'm jumping of the walls I'm so happy

Thinking about when I had a dream that turned out to technically be a prophecy bc it perfectly predicted a large plot development in Warframe’s storyline that I hadn’t gotten even close to yet

#ik this sounds silly but im not joking. it was technically just my subconscious guessing/speculating and happening to get it right #but I will still call it a prophecy bc it sounds cooler and isn’t *technically* wrong #for those who don’t care about warframe spoilers #I was very early game & didn’t know about Operators yet and I had a very vivid dream where I was a human(?) inside a cryopod #and I was controlling a warframe with my mind and I compelled it to come to me and take me out of the pod #and take me back to the orbiter #and there’s no way I’d seen anything about it bc I wasn’t playing it with friends and had no contact with the community or other players #was literally just a wild guess that turned out to pretty much hit the nail on the head #it even put me in the correct room that the Operator is in. that room had not been opened at the point in the story I was at #the fact this was a dream specifically also is really funny to me. very thematically accurate format for a warframe plot prediction

i think it's beautiful how different everyone is and how we can all work together in our own little ways to help each other out but the fact that it's so easy to feel ashamed of your own difference makes me so sad

#like you can feel alienated SO easily even though everyone is technically an alien to each other #in the sense that we're all different and unknown to the other #becahse it is kinda impossible to know someone fully like completely #only you yourself would know #and sometimes even you might not #idk if this makes sense i just feel really. sad i guess #because even after everything we rarely ever celebrate different and only try our hardest to like #force people to always be a certain way experience the same things #even though that's literally not how life works #this is not to say that i'm against community! pls don't take it that way #shared experiences and even just in general friends and community are great #(lmao this sounds like i'm talking about the TV shows)#but like y'know?#in life in general i wish feeling different was a good thing #i don't want to feel ashamed of being different becahse i An different #and that's okay #and everyone else is different too and that's great #this has just been bothering me a lot lately #zzz #ok to rb #it's not a rant just me thinking thoughts
