Although covid-19 has put a dent on our traveling endeavors to explore small cacao plantations, thanks to technology we are still able to source our beans with the right ideals in mind. As a bean-to-bar chocolate shop we are constantly learning and evolving, which is why we can’t simply pick one origin. There is so much complexity in terms of chocolate flavor based on how cacao is grown, the fermentation process, and the maker’s roast. Each plantation has different growing and harvesting methods. “Don’t take life too seriously- no one gets out alive” . . I have spent the past week with my nephews, my brother, and sister in-law. This photo was taken by my nephew! I like this photo because he took it but I also like it because this was my view for the past week 😂. I have learned so much about trains, juicy batteries, cutie pies, washing my hands, and how to build proper tracks. My nephew and I both agree that I am not a very good train conductor but I am “okay” at helping to build the tracks. 😂 . . Wanted an update? That quote above is one of my favourite quotes. One that I fail to practice sometimes. I like it because it’s such a great reminder to live in the moment and not give a crap about others. I would rather live a full life that’s full of love and laughter then take things too seriously. No point in staying down and depressed if you don’t have to. Easier said than done of course!
