ANNANNANNA!!! I’m so sorry this is so late, but I am going to answer both! ^^

My perfect fanfiction would definitely be a mutual pining, friends to lovers, minor-slow burn. Probably between 20-40k—long enough for some really good structure and development but short enough I could binge it, mostly guilt free! (😂) The AU would probably be the author’s own fantasy world—there’d be some magic, but it wouldn’t be the emphasis! Maybe a a domestic/mundane aspect would be nice, as well!

Blog rate!

Use of fonts: 8.5/10 (super aesthetically pleasing, nice colors and mixture of caps-lock and normal, a little small for my hop away from blind self haha)

Amount of nets: (a small-ish #) + 2(# of nets with favorite writers - # with closed applications)/(amount of guilt for rbing so many net posts)

Blog concept: 11/10 (look, I’m soft for it, if you ran a book store, I would 100/10 go there and spend all my money!)

Presence of 한글: 6/10 (definitely higher than average, and I love it!)

A Heartbreak for One [Part Four]

part one / two / three

She's a moaning mess underneath him, screaming out words that should never be said in public. She rakes her nails down his back, causing him to hiss in pain.

Was Luke enjoying hot steamy sex immediately after a nice hot meal? Like every other horny guy, yes.

But that doesn't stop him from feeling guilty about letting Arzaylea diss you before pulling him away.

Arzaylea lets out a high-pitched whine and Luke collapses onto her, clearly exhausted from the night's events.

"I love you so much baby," she breathes out, wrapping her arms around his torso.

The words are stuck in his throat.

"I... I love you too."

Arzaylea grins, pecking Luke's cheek and pushing him off of her. She snuggles into his chest, her finger trailing up his arms.

Luke holds her and the two sit in silence. Should I...?

"Hey, I want to talk to you for a moment," he starts.

Arzaylea looks up at him, slightly confused.

"I... I don't think you should've been so rude to y/n just now. You really hurt her feelings, y'know?"

"She's your ex, Luke. You broke up with her to be with me. And I broke up with my ex to be with you. You clearly didn't care about her feelings when you fucked me against the wall even though you were still dating her."

"Yeah, but-"

"But what, Luke? You chose to break up with her and who cares whether she has gotten over it after two months? Why do you care about her so much? Are you still in love with her?" Arzaylea is sitting upright now, getting more agitated with each passing minute.

"It was a bad breakup, so cut her some slack!" Luke snaps. "It doesn't help the fact that I was her first boyfriend either."

She scoffs, getting off the bed. "Oh boohoo, poor y/n because she just experienced her first breakup. You shouldn't have to care at all, Luke.”

He sighs, running his fingers through his hair. "Could you just... be nicer to her instead of shooting down whatever she says?"

She turns around, folding her arms. "I have a better solution. Why don't you stop hanging around her instead?"

"The guys are there and - why are you getting dressed?" Luke frowns.

"I'm heading out to party," she says simply, putting on her boots and grabbing her keys. She sees Luke struggling to get dressed and adds, "Alone."

Luke sighs when he hears the front door close, flopping onto the bed dejectedly. Arzaylea's right, he should forget about you. He broke up with you to be with her so why did he care so much about what you felt?

You groan at the sound of your phone ringing. You glance at the time and it tells you it's one in the morning.

"What the fuck?" You whisper when you see Luke's name on your phone. Despite your annoyance, you can't help but feel the same flutter in your heart.

You sigh, picking up the call. "Was your girlfriend insulting me this evening not enough torment for the day?"

"No! Please don't hang up," he pleads, sounding desperate. "I want to talk to you."

"Can't you talk to your girlfriend instead?"

"She's... She's out clubbing. And she didn't want me to come."

"Nice to know I'm your backup plan," you answer, biting your lip.

He's silent, the poison that's laced in your words leaving a deep gash in his heart.

"Your song's playing on the radio now," you break the silence. "if you care about that, that is."

He chuckles. "Which song?"

"Jet Black Heart."

"Aren't you going to sing along? It was pretty well written, if I do say so myself."

"Michael wrote it."

"Ouch, y/n. Your words just pierced through my heart." He smiles, and you give a weak laugh.

"Don't you have a jet black heart?" You say, and Luke understands the double meaning behind your sentence.

Silence.

"The blood in my veins is made up of mistakes~" you sing and he laughs.

"You have a nice voice," he compliments.

There’s a pregnant pause, and it’s almost like you’re dating again.

Except you’re not.

“Why did you call, Luke?” You ask, propping yourself up against your pillows.

He lets out a sigh. “I… I wanted to talk to you. And I don’t think we should be so awkward around each other.”

“I’m pretty sure you’re the awkward one here,” you laugh. “Besides, we hung out the other day, wasn’t that enough?”

“I want something more than just hanging out because we’re trying to break the tension.”

“I want something more than just a friendship filled with empty promises.”

You close your eyes, taking deep breaths to stop yourself from crying. “Luke, I don’t want you to talk to me because you’re feeling lonely or because we have to. I want a proper friendship if we’re going to remain this way.”

“I can do that,” he tells you, his voice cracking.

“Can you? Because it just seemed like you were a pushover or just being a complete dickhead when you were over at my place earlier.”

“I was just conflicted. I need you to understand that,” he pleads. “I just didn’t-”

“Didn’t know what to do?” You finish for him.

“Sorry,” he mumbles.

Luke bites his lip, wondering what to say.

“Listen, it’s late and I really need to sleep. Whatever you need to say to me, just tell me tomorrow. I don’t think it’s right if you’re only calling me because you have nothing to do.”

You hang up before he can say anything else. You pull the covers up to your chin, hugging one of the pillows tightly before allowing your tears to fall. I love him too much…

Hmm, is that so?

If Luke were to beg you to take him back, you think you’d probably have to think about it.

And perhaps that hesitation is what scares you the most.
