Chapter 18 is done and is at almost 11k! Which shocks me yet again because I thought it was going to be a really small chapter lmao. I don't know how I keep doing that but I'm sorry greatful for whatever god is blessing me because I really don't want to write small chapters!

Anyways, I want to place an idea out here about season 5 that I haven't seen anyone talk about yet? I dunno I'm probably just dumb and its obvious but spoilers I guess!

Ok so I know every keeps saying OH MY GOD ITS SQUIDGAME which is so funny and that's probably everyone figuring what I'm going to say which is I'm guess everyone gets trapped in the Pagoda (he is pagoda man, its in his wiki which is very sad btw like maybe dont destroy your sons grave??? He died to save you in the first place????) but I do think they'll be doing some trails in there which, oh god I'm so excited for.

If its a prison, I wonder if there's a kinda redemption thing going on in there. Their in jumpsuits, trapped in a prison forced to do trails to prove their like worthy or something? Though u doubt Li Jing is going to let them out willingly. But the potential for fics makes me rub my hands evilly.

Also one thing I keep remembering is in the lego set which is the actual pagoda it talks about whats inside. “Avoid the traps” “the 100 eyed demon is always watching” “visit Li Jing in the throne room then head up the tower and retrieve the last color stone” (is the throne room IN the pagoda or do they just have to get to the top to get out and if they fail they fall back to the bottom?)

But the thing im most interesting in is in the middle of the description it just says “Hi nüwa!” JUST THAT JSHSJSH which is very funny to me but putting that aside why is Nüwa in the pagoda?

If its a prison to trap demon and monsters, what did Nüwa do to get put in there?

And does it involve her creation of Mk?????

LMK SEASON 5 STORYLINE - A THEORY TO WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN

SO SEASON 5 NEWS, YEA, IM SCREAMING TOO WHILE @lu-zijing IS TRYING TO GUIDE ME THROUGH A PANIC ATTACK.

So lets theorise what this is about :)

So first of all, we have an enemy, and since this enemy is "hidden", its clearly this guy, The Traitorus King of the Dead, we are talking about:

Also based of the fact that Li Jing is not hidden, and that the 100 eyed demon and the 9 headed demon, dont seem to be "hidden" either.

AND that no one in the main cast know this guy. (from what we know). (Wukong and Macaque cough, cough).

And he "traps them?"

This is clearly him, getting them trapped in The Underworld, and getting them put in thoughs "uniforms". @onesmallbagel theorised it might be prison suits, which i think is pretty great theory.

Though he is not "directly" trapping them. As we see in the trailer, that is Li Jings doing.

The Traitorous King is hidden after all, and seems instead to be the one pulling the strings to all of this.

As we saw in seaosn 4, he was also the one who realeased Azure, but Azure never even how he got realsed in the first place.

And as mentioned, MK and the rest dont know, what is even going on!!

This guy, whoever he is (I think Rv sketch theorised its King Yama), is pulling all the strings.

As said:

"MK and his group, who have no way of knowing this, begin to advance step by step according to the enemy's plan!"

So he is the one who blamed our monkeys (getting them into court in The Underworld), for the destruction of the world, while he is also the one WHO DESTROYED THE WORLD TO BEGIN WITH.

AND ON TOP OF THIS, OUR PROTOGANIST ARE FOLLOWING HIS PLAN, JUST AS HE WANTS.

DOES THAT MEAN, THAT MK SEMMINGLY BECOMING "ONE WITH THE STONES", IS GOING TO END BADLY?!

IS THIS HOW MK WILL GO APESHIT!??!

Honestly, LMK turns the plot on its head so often that I've never voiced this due to the Macaque hate club, but legit. What if Wukong killed Macky trying to save him because as we've seen with MK, he can use that amount of force, that same line, trying to keep someone from certain doom, so why not an out of control monkey with hijacked powers? Macky just. doesn't remember. but that might even be plot relevant since Wukong also doesn't remember things, supposedly. *stares at Nine.* He might've never done anything to Tripitaka and friends, I mean, current Macky has never even SAID anything about hating those guys, heck. He out right SAYS the Monk was good for Wukong and he was allegedly killed AFTER the journey, even if the friendship ties between them never ended afterwards, I honestly struggle to see Macky even being angry enough to want to "save" Wukong as he never did before to just.....be so crazy about it to the point Wukong needs to kill him over it. He'd stand down, he WOULD listen to reason, right? Unless if something else was going on? There'd have to be some other trigger for him to just go off like that, as for all these memories. I bet the "he" Nines was talking about could have been the Demon King of Confusion. You can really make up some fun new powers there, the guy's the first villain ever in JTTW, it's kind of poetic, and also. "Demon KING." Sure, good foe for the Monkey King. They can give him the LBD treatment in raising the prestige.

What if Wukong killed Macky trying to save him[…]?

this has, honestly, been my own theory for what went down since i started lmk. like i knew they would be vague about Wukong and Mackoach’s circumstance because, you know, Wukong did a murder in jttw and this is a kid show intended for an audience of 8-10 year olds. and that kind of topic is a doozy to do right in media (Western media especially).

anyway, by s3, i was under the impression that Macky assumed Wukong killed him final blow style, but Wukong actually left him incapacitated enough for him to admit defeat (and maybe, possibly leaving him for dead, oblivious to the fact that Mac might be too weak to use his shadow powers) because of how much lmk utilizes unreliable narratives. but then, watching Wukong’s and MK’s fight really solidified that original theory of mine. when Mackintosh frees Wukong from his memories in 5x07 (also jfc Wukong literally spent a whole season trapped in his memories and has to do it all over again, my poor babygirl ;-; he’s exhausted!!!!) Wukong looks horrified.

clearly, that fight is considered one of Wukong’s deepest and darkest memories (which were what the 100-eyed Demon was looking for. because he likes the good tea like me frfr) and doesn’t like looking back at. in a way, it makes sense with how much distance he placed between himself and Macody in 1x09 (almost….indifferent one might say 👀 or trying to act apathetic about it which comes off annoyed…..ain’t that interesting?)

but yeah. good food for thought :3

MY OPINION ON LMK SEASON 5

SPOILERS AHEAD

SCREAMING KICKING CRYING DYING AND FLYING I JUST FINISHED WATCHING IT IN CHINESE OF COURSE.

Nine-headed demon, I wasn’t a fan of the bird form ,But like I loved it man the nine-headed demon is officially one of my favourite characters I swear him and Macaque had beef.

Speaking of Macaque I loved him sooooooo much this season not that I don’t usually love him but EH WTF happened to his powers??? Why did they change colours did he really make a deal with someone??? But like I love how he literally used most of his power to break everyone free then just rolled on the ground.

Wukong now…..My man, my angel that hoop brought back 50 types of trauma and the fact MK used the migraine spell on him killed me….I understand why but it still hurt. And the 100 eyed demon reminding him what he did to Macaque broke me and I cried.

Li Jing….He redeemed himself a little at the end but I still wanna beat his ass into next week, how dare he treat poor Nezha that way and he put the hoop on Wukong then he trapped Macaque in the Pagoda.

Nezha don’t have much to say other than I really don’t like the way his mech looked like in the show it looked plain no hate to Wildbrain love them and can’t blame them for this considering they’re used to 3D animations and have other things to work on as well. But I loved Nezha as always.

MK…..No but like I’m still trying to figure out this kids’ hair colour sometimes it looks black then brown then both and I’m sitting there like wtf and then him going into his monkey form only for it to be brown, Anyway loved him a lot but am still depressed for what he did to Waking but it’s understandable. My guy also opened Pandora’s box….can’t wait to see more of that next season. But like c’mon whoever writes the script have got to give Mk a break.

NuWa….Here’s the thing I don’t really like or hate her she’s just this mutual feeling, no hate but I wasn’t really a fan as to how her face was animated, it probably just me but it looked a little off, I liked her snake body though and the idea of reincarnation is cool af.

Pigsy was perfect absolutely loved him loved his relationship with Mk good father and son.

Tang I feel like he needed more screen time but I loved when he was on Pigsy’s back when they were climbing up the mountain.

Mei…poor girl was worried about her friendship with Mk wondering if there friendship was disappearing, jackfruit duo is amazing.

The hundred eyed demon wasn’t my favourite though he did manage to remind Waking about what he did to poor MacBook (Macaque) and also traumatised everyone else with their deepest memories.

My overall review of the season was 9 out of 10 this is my opinion I personally loved it and didn’t mind the animation other than NuWa’s Face the animation hit perfectly right when it needed to and the script was amazing all that matters is that the story was good so what if the animation isn’t the same the story was there and I would watch it again. Don’t go hating Wildbrain as I said before they’re amazing and getting used to a new animation style. I just can’t wait for the rest of the season to be dubbed in English. Again this is my review my opinion not everyone’s is the same so please don’t be hurt by this.

Hellhounds: All hellhounds are able to go home without the use of a portal, although it’s quickly draining and they don’t do it often. Sizes range from a large dog to the size of a large horse, and their forms vary from skeletal to large and fluffy, with many variants in between. Most of them have fur colors of varying shades of grey, brown, and black or some combination thereof. Some hellhounds are little more than pets, while others are bred for guarding, tracking, and battle. When an angel is bitten by a hellhound, it cannot be healed by angel healing, and has to heal on its own. It remains inflamed for a long period, and the more severe bites can lead to fevers. There's an almost 100% guarantee that a hellhound bite will scar. Considering how vain a lot of angels are, you can imagine how much they dislike this.

The Hounds Of Heaven: Like hellhounds, the hounds of heaven are typically large, although not quite as big as hellhounds tend to be. Their fur ranges from white to gold to a reddish gold color, and occasionally silver and grey. The dogs, like their angel counterparts, can heal others. They are intelligent, and can on rare occasions with being they are close to communicate with telepathically. The telepathy is limited to images and impressions. The hounds don’t always, but often chose one person to bond with, and aren’t limited to bond to one person, although in general they tend to extend their bond to their chosen’s life partner. They are usually used as guard dogs, war dogs, etc, but there's exactly one angel (Deryn) who is trying to train hounds of heaven for things that are not just war and fighting. She takes in the unwanted hounds and finds them homes with sympathetic angels.

Fae Hounds: I'm not making this up as I type this, not at all. Fae Hounds come in more variants, weirder variants, that depend on the scape they came from. Which, to be fair, can be applied to the ones above, but fae scapes are so much that they're a bit weirder sometimes. In the way of fur texture, color, length, in the way of size and shape and- well, you get the picture. I think they're very solitary... until they're not. And they're very attentive when not solitary, almost clingy and demanding.

Hybrids: I refuse to worldbuild any beyond the one I've created already, unless someone has specific question. If a hellhound and a hound of heaven have a litter together those pups are deadly to angels. Their bite, even as a little pup, kills within a couple of hours, spreading a sickly white poison through them until it hits their heart and they drop. Because of that, not many exist. If any.

Spider Queen's Backstory // Headcanons

It's hard to draw in the forest. That's why I suddenly returned to gacha 😃 It's faster, but the efficiency is kinda the same(?). I really like what I did with the Spider Queen! 🥰 I also added my headcanon design from her childhood-

Khem-Khem- About the childhood. FanWiki has information in the 「Behind the Scenes」 that the Spider Queen herself wasn't in the novel(?) Journey to the West 😧 Since the Spider Queen has no backstory and she died, which most likely means we will never know about her backstory, I decided to headcanon her.

AND THEN SUDDENLY THE 100-EYED DEMON APPEARS IN THE TRAILER. If he doesn't mention the Spider Queen I'll die.

FanWiki also mentions that the Spider Queen is may be based on the Seven Spider-Demon Sisters. I googled what kind of sisters they are and read that after they were beaten by Sun Wukong, they went to The 100-Eyed Demon. He kidnaps the Monk, but Sun Wukong takes the sisters captive. During the argument, The 100-Eyed Demon bluffs badly and Sun Wukong kills all the sisters. What is very sadz 🤧

My Headcanon:

The Spider Queen is the youngest of seven sisters. They live in a deep cave, which the older sisters tried to equip as their palace. Due to the venom, (which the Spider Queen had not yet discovered in herself), she doesn't have the ability to turn into a spider like her sisters (or like Huntsman and Goliath. She, like Syntax, uses a machine to have spider-like legs. In the special, her human legs can be seen). Because of this reason, the sisters called her a princess, and some of them reassured her that as soon as she becomes Queen this ability will appear (Spoiler, no). But it's too long to wait for her to grow up. Therefore, the Spider Queen spent most of her time working with mechanisms (she already had mechanical spider-legs before Syntax appeared. There must be a reason why, because in the 「Noodle or Death」 she was completely alone).

Because of the different attitudes of the sisters towards the little Spider Queen developed in her complexes: the desire to be the real Queen, hatred of teasing and the desire to be accepted (a hidden desire that the Spider Queen shows only in a conversation with MK before her death).

One day, her sisters kidnap a monk, but then were defeated by Sun Wukong. The angry sisters, with the little Spider Queen, goes to their friend(?) The 100-Eyed Demon for help. The 100-Eyed Demon agrees to help them take revenge on Sun Wukong. At first, the Spider Queen likes her The 100-Eyed Demon. His palace really does look like a palace, and he even wears an gold Emperor hat. However, her sisters are captured by the monkey. The Spider Queen was powerless and hoped that The 100-Eyed Demon would save the sisters. But that didn't happen. Sun Wukong crushed the sisters like tiny spiders.

The 100-Eyed Demon was also traumatized. The sisters were almost like family to him, and he essentially killed them with his own hands. He wanted to cheer up the Spider Queen and allow her to live with him, but her resentment had no end. She was completely disappointed and hated The 100-Eyed Demon for his bad bluff. She stole the sword with two blades from his palace and ran back to her and her sisters’ cave.

She builds her mechanical spider legs and attacks villages. One day, she notices how her venom affects mortals and gathers an army, turning the most useful mortals into Spider Demons (Huntsman, there were more of them, but they died). She actually becomes the Queen and even builds her own palace. However, Sun Wukong ruins everything again. He destroys her palace and kills her minions. The surviving mortals build a new city right on the spot where the Spider Queen's palace used to be and call it Megapolis.

Quite interesting, isn't it? Adds depth to the Spider Queen. My favorite moment, obviously, is when the Spider Queen loses her sisters and gets disappointed in The 100-Eyed Demon. This drama is very touching. I can't even imagine how The 100-Eyed Demon feels about this. He accidentally killed dear demons, and the only one who survived hates him now.

I was incredibly sure that The 100-Eyed Demon would 't appear on the show. Never ever. Can you imagine my face when he suddenly appears in the trailer? Honestly, I also thought he was a centipede. 😏😏😏 I guessed right here, but I didn’t expect at all that he would have pink skin and white hair. On the other hand, the design from the show is much cooler than what I wanted to do. Therefore, I’m even glad that he appeared in the show, but just like with the Kings of Underworld, I’m afraid that he will ruin all my headcanons 🥲🥲🥲🥲

However I have many things going on in mine and my family's lives at the moment, so the opportunity to write is scarce (college, new jobs, medical appointments). I also lost some confidence writing when I discovered that Season 5 was announced, since I feared that my writing would become outdated with new lore (I'm still anticipating who the true villain Xiangliu alluded to but I have theories). Now I understand that is simply an obstacle when writing for an ongoing media.

Some details I've been working on for the "The Monkey King and the Infant" au are;

I have been trying to make a "timeline" chart for the Au to explain events that happened in the story's past.

Watching and adapting the events and characters introduced in Season 5 (Li Jing, Xiangliu, The 100 Eyed Demon, Nuwa, etc...) into the fic's universe.

Rewriting what Nüwa's plan; instead of just leaving her Harbinger and their Stone Egg on earth, she instead threw it into the cosmos so it could return at a later date - becoming the Harbinger's Comet. +Also adding/implementing her husband Fuxi - a minor god of fatherhood and invention. He loves his wife so much, and misses her dearly.

Establishing reasons for why Macaque and Wukong simply cannot hide away on Flower Fruit Mountain; (1): Many of the Celestial Guards suspect that Wukong was lying about the fate of the Cosmic Egg/Harbinger's comet and are monitoring him. Wukong learns this when he hires Sandy (on Pigsy's recommendation) to get home for some personal items, as his Somersault Cloud hasn't been working correctly. (2): Macaque is thought to be dead. If he suddenly reappears after so much time has past, it could draw the attention of the Ten Kings. (3): The Egg literally drains them of their powers, forcing them to approach problems "mortal-style".

Deciding how to introduce The Nine Tailed Vixen/Jiuweihuli to the story - I believe 100% that the moment Jin and Yin see Macaque alive again, they'd kidnap him to show their mother that he's alright.

Deciding on what the main "rogue's gallery" would be for LMK if the Lady Bone Demon is sealed away many years before MK's birth. The Spider Gang would be more involved in general mayhem.

Adding in Ao Bing (his presence is due to a spicy twist >:3).

Having the incident involving the "Demon King of Havoc/Confusion" be something far more complicated than what the novel/history tells. Sun Wukong did not only save his monkeys that day, but he also saved royal demons captured by the King of Havoc as bargaining chips (DBK amongst them), and a few celestial officers caught off-guard by the King of Havoc's power (Azure and Nezha among them). The reason it isn't talked about much is that many of the saved later became The Brotherhood and their allies - the celestial realm doesn't like admitting that a "mere cave demon" had caused them so much trouble.
