Aaaaaanndddd the next Polaroid album is done! This will hold two Polaroid cells per page, three Instax cells per page, or one standard print up to 5x7.

The pages are heavy dudy cardstock sewn long stitch into the spine, with red book cloth and grey-on-black skull pattern lokta paper.

Albums like this one, as well as sketchbooks, notebooks, and custom commissions will be available through my Ko-Fi store soon.

The plague of needing to be creative while being stuck in your own head with a whirlwind of things and ideas.

I finally managed to finish this small experimental set I had in mind for a while, called "Collection nocturne", with L'heure dorée, Minuit and Le point du jour. The three papers used for the covers and the way they catch the light represent the different phases of the night.

Small notebooks (10,8x15,3 cm) with heavy paper (210g), covers made with handmade Lokta paper, bound with a smooth book cloth and waxed linen thread.

I've had this journal on my shelf for months now, but every time I tried to take pictures of it I just couldn't get the colors to come out properly. But I think I've finally managed to get a pretty accurate photo of this beautiful yellow. This is a unique handmade Lokta paper that I've only ever seen once. It's bright, but not neon and really makes this pattern pop. My self-gift for completing Inktober this year was this set of custom A6 200 page Tomoe River notebooks by @Flyght_of_Fantasy_Studio. 📚 . Designing these with Valerie was amazing as she provides a great variety of cover materials to pick from. I especially loved the mushrooms 🍄 on this Japanese Indigo colored Lokta paper and the matching golden fabric holding the binding. 💙 . I was also impressed by how quickly she made them and they arrived from Scotland to Paris (despite the waiting list). 🙂 . The cover is hard, but the books lay open and will be great to continue making art in 2020. Initially I was going to wait until January to start, but I think I might start drawing in them earlier than expected. I'm enjoying making those small notebooks. If I'm satisfied with the results, I'll probably sell them! (These (unfinished) ones are made with Lokta paper for the cover, it's handmade and plant-based instead of tree-based! More sustainable 🌱)
