One Day

Damn.. I watched both the series and the movie..

Well.. it’s funny how it’s a British film and book.. and I relate it to the only British guy I ever liked so much..

The movie and series were somewhat the same with our story..

That on a night of 05/27/2022, the day we met.. just like how the book had July 15th as the anniversary date the day they met, i’ve always marked it how my life/our lives were never the same since we encountered each other.

We didn’t expect to get along in messages for months and months.. so every 27th of the month is like a milestone to how far we’ve come for still responding to each other……

Ok so looks like being obsessed with gay fictional couples is what I do full time now… it’s fine! Ohhh man this book! I was kinda scared to read it because of the hype but this is soooo worth it. This book has also received some harsh criticism for not being factual or promoting the democrats but this is FICTION ppl👏👏👏 it does not need to be factual. I believe @casey.mcquiston makes a beautiful alternate reality where things are still very horrible but a bit better than the actual reality and that is what fiction is all about. So to say I REALLY enjoyed this book would be an understatement. This book has me screaming into my pillow at 2 am, smiling like a dumbass throughout my reading journey and teary eyed by the end 🥹. Almost EVERY SINGLE characters is sooooo amazing and I would literally throw hands if anything happened to them 😡👊. I didn’t think I would give this book a five star maybe a 4.5 at highest but DAMN! Henry and Alex just deserve 5 stars ✨🤌. Also feeling single af after this and Heartstopper 🥲. Rating- 5/5 *chef’s kiss* 😘🤌 . . . Draco

It started with a disc, it quickly became a stack and now it’s somehow a collection with its own shelf. Draco is quite fond of it, on his days off he goes through his favorites and plays them on his radio for hours.

Draco is content with his new life. He has a music collection, a roommate, and a nice co-worker. Yet, he would like someone to talk about all his new discoveries: clothes (jeans are the superior piece of clothing and no one can change his mind), food and music, mainly music. Savanah, his roommate, prefers much darker and heavier acts. Meanwhile his co-worker Mary is much more of a boyband fan. Without many options left, Draco decides to go on a search to expand his limited social interaction group.

And that’s how he ends up in an internet cafe trying to come up with a decent nickname. “Something that represents you” advised Savanah before he went out that afternoon. Draco is taking a long time, quite annoyed to himself taking into consideration this is actually costing him money. LondonBoy is all he came up with after ten minutes, after all he does live in London now. Fifteen minutes later Draco leaves the cafe more confused than he has ever been since he left home.

“It was terrible” Draco whines to Mary, “They all seemed like creepy old geezers”.

“That’s because you didn’t know the right searches”, always-positive Mary tries to persuade Draco without much success. Yet, she has an ace under her sleeve.

“I’ll give it one more go and that’s it. Not spending a single more penny on it”. Mary puppy eyes can be quite persuasive after all.

Harry

Six months in his new apartment and Harry is finally ready to socialize with someone besides the cashier and the landlord.

After bursting into tears in the middle of a party he decided to take a step away from the wizarding world. It was weird. That world had been his home for so long, all the people he loved were there, but he needed a time away. “Reinvent yourself” Luna had whispered to him while hugging him goodbye at the goodbye gathering Hermione had organized.

That’s how he ends up installing a computer in his new apartment. It’s actually quite an old apartment but Harry likes it. The computer on the other hand is a complete pain. He goes back to the store at least three times asking for help. The fourth time a different employee helps him, he's a chatty lad and ends up telling him all about this girl he met in a chatroom. The story is the corniest thing Harry has ever listened to, but the possibilities of this chat room draw his interest.

After a few days of searching in different chat rooms, he finds himself chatting with a London lad. They talk about music, more like he recommends music and Harry ends up running to the record store to buy it. During the war (and after) Harry didn’t have a lot of time to just sit and listen to music so he is quite fond of this new friendship (is this a friendship?).

LondonBoy05: You better believe it.

LondonBoy05: No electronics at boarding school. 

LondonBoy05: It sucked.

NewComputer: I also went to a boarding school but I didn't have a family to stop me from doing it during breaks.

LondonBoy05: Oh. I'm sorry mate.

NewComputer: It's fine. Tell me more about that fruit-named group!

Draco

“You are completely whipped for him” Mary declares.

“That's definitely an overstatement” Draco answers back. It may be a little bit of a lie. He does in fact enjoy a little too much his chat sessions with the new computer boy. Even if he liked him there wouldn't be anything to do about it, since they both live in different cities. “He is just someone nice to talk to.”

That night at the record store Draco finds himself buying a disc that seems just newcomputer boy taste. Yes, he is a little bit whipped but he also accepts that nothing will come of it. The important thing is he finally has a friend. Well, Mary and Savanah are also great friends but this is different. This is special for Draco.

Harry

They have developed a schedule. Every afternoon at 2:30 they enter the chat room with a different topic every week to prevent other people from getting in. It’s usually the highlight of Harry’s day.

After a few months, he finally made some in-real-life friends: the chatty lad from the electronics store, Damon, and the couple who lives on the next floor. They are nice and all but things are different with londonboy, they just matched. He felt at ease with him. This was special for Harry and he had no plans of letting it go.

Ramble: This is longest fic I've written so far. I'm afraid that opens the possibilities for more mistakes. I also went back and for a lot of times bc I wanted to made this longer, then shorter, then back to longer. This is also a continuation to my fic Music and I will probably will keep working on this idea. (Yes that end line is a lie)
