Hello, hope you are doing well! Your lovely post about sherlock and john being unnecessarily close to each other crossed my dash today and it made me go *heart eyes* then I got a little upset when I read your caption - not at you ofc!! Just the usual sadness that accompanies when I see their scenes from the earlier episodes and think "what have they done to my boys?"

Then I realised I can actually think of like hundreds of scenes from s3 where they are also that close to each other, they are practically glued to each other in tsot and even have a scene where they are sleeping on the stairs squeezed together without even an inch between them. It's more difficult to come up with such scenes from s4 but there are also a few even in it. To be fair you said "kinda stopped" and that you only skimmed through those seasons but I was surprised at the words "nothing really"

Hope this doesn't sound like a complaint, just both your post and some of the replies got me thinking and I wanted to share my thoughts. Love your gifsets, thanks for sharing them!

No worries, I understand you. I was totally convinced that there were plenty of scenes like here in season 3 and even some in season 4. And there are- Sherlock pulling John out of the Bonfire, the Stag Night, the hug at the wedding, and of course, The Hug in TLD. I think I had around 20 different scenes to choose from through all 4 seasons (I skipped TAB).

But you know what? When making the gifs, I thought that the scenes in s3 and 4 'felt' different. The only scenes that actually fit the theme would be them sitting pressed together on the stairs on the Stag Night, John's knee grab on the Stag Night and maybe the hug at the wedding. (And in the end I didn't include them because a) I already have made different versions of the wedding hug and didn't want to make another one and b) the stairs scene is very dark and a nightmare to gif. 🤭)

But in general, the closeness is much more obvious in s1 and s2. It's still there in s3, but you have to look for it. So, my "nothing really" wasn't accurate.

LMAO I JUST REMEMBERED PRIOR TO THIS I KEPT TWEETING NA BOTB DATE WHERE. pero anw, we watched the performance from the back. i told him na a spot for him was reserved malapit sa front bc he was 1) invited, and 2) i had council privileges but we stayed at the back. and...in the show, huling sandali was performed and it just hit different bc months before that i got to watch december avenue fresh out the ghosting and nearly teared up hearing the song live LMAO and watching it with him felt... like closure? later that night he tweeted smth about closure THAT I DIDNT GET TO SCREENSHOT but i liked it and i agreed. it felt like that. a silent closure for something that didn’t have a label. feryodt. if you want to read more on this, stone cold sober & chasing daydreams were for him and i just rewrote them to fit hyunjin HAHAHAH
