Lorielle is a huge figure in the high fashion community. As such, she’s strict on what her daughters wear and how they present themselves.

Amelia is a beauty influencer and has her own makeup company. She acts innocent but is kinda a vain bitch. Every once and awhile she helps Bianca and gives her advice, but usually she’s cruel.

Ahh, thank you so much!!! This was so much fun and such a good exercise for character building cause these guys are still so fresh and new to me.

1. What is your character's reaction to a minor inconvenience? Such as getting their jumper caught on a door handle? Sylawen would take personal offense, glare at the doorknob, then contemplate setting it aflame. If it ripped her jumper, then you would probably hear a lot of screaming and some vile curses scattered within. If, however, she was around other people, she would play it cool, do a little *teehee* clumsy me and smile.

2. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate or other? Tea in the morning, hot chocolate at night. Syla shares her mother's sweet tooth.

7. Are they a naturally assertive person or are they painfully shy? I would say Caldemil isn't shy as much as he is unbothered. He's more the type to keep their head down and avoid speaking up even when things get uncomfortable. I think if he went to a restaurant and they gave him the wrong order, he would probably eat it and not even care lol

Loriel is much more assertive, especially in her work as an archaeologist. She's typically a very demure and soft-spoken woman but will not bat an eye to correct you or call you out if she feels she is being slighted. Her mother was a bit of an eccentric academic herself and so she learned from a very young age to speak with conviction

8. Do they consider themselves a friendly person or aloof? Caldemil is straight up a golden retriever in Altmer form. He lives for love and is soooo happy to make friends. Loriel is a bit more reserved, and though she might come across as aloof on first impression, she's very willing to talk and she loves having people over for tea :)

21. What would be one item that they would hate to lose most?Oooh, this was a tricky one! I haven't thought too much about his personal possessions, but I feel like there must be some familial heirloom that was passed down to him through the generations. Maybe like a decorative sword that he hangs above the mantle (I don't imagine he could even wield it properly haha), or like a pocket watch.

24. What are your character's special skills? Loriel is a highly skilled baker! She makes the cakes and desserts for all her family functions and she tried to teach Syla when she's younger, but she just ate all the batter off the spoon and got sick all the time, so eventually Loriel gave up.

29. Are they an organised person? Or more laissez-faire? Caldemil is organized but only in the context of his work. He is an accountant for a big trading company in Cyrodiil, and all of his records are meticulously kept. Everything outside of his study/library is a disaster though. He doesn't ever fold his clothes and it drives Loriel insane because every time he shows up to a party, there's a wrinkle in his shirt. The horror!

39. What's your character's guilty pleasure Loriel loves a solitary wine night and a box of rich, dark chocolate. She'll curl up in her study and read in solitude for hours before forgetting she's the head of a household and is supposed to be watching her kids 😭

48. Is your character easy to make cry? Or angry? Or annoyed? Crying in front of others is a big no-no to Syl. She will avoid it anyway she can. She finds people boring more often than she does annoying, and if they annoy her, she will probably just walk away midway through the conversation before it can even get to anger.

49. What is your character's biggest fear? Most irrational? Another tough one 😭 I would say it's failing to meet her own expectations. She has a very rigid set of standards for herself that has been honed by how she thinks the world perceives her (which is largely with repulsion and scorn the moment they learn she is a necromancer). It's a very sore spot for her, though she denies it. She tries extra hard to look appealing and make herself easier to swallow, but lacks the social grace to understand why she makes people so uncomfortable. Instead, she crafts this idea of what "the perfect image" is and thinks, "if I meet that, everything will be okay."

Gah I wish my tablet wasn't broken so I can color this but- I decided I want to draw Loriel from an ending where she marries Dedue and moves to Duscur with him! She becomes the doctor of the small forest village they live in, and they live a very peaceful and happy life together in wedded bliss~

Since I haven't really talked about these guys much yet, I figure I'll do an intro post for them.

First and foremost is Loriel Elsinlock, my Altmer dragonborn. He is a fugitive from the Summerset Isle, wanted by the Thalmor for burning down an Aldmeri Dominion Hall of Records when he was 44 and has been on the run throughout the continent of Tamriel for the last 50 years before the start of the game, the 17th of Last Seed, 4E 201. He is one of three identical triplets in his family.

In the same AU is the following non-dragonborn OCs:

Reignhart Frostfang, an assassin of the Dark Brotherhood, lone survivor of the destruction of Sanctuary, non-listener, and soon to join the Thieves Guild. Her mother's clan hails from Dawnstar but was banished from Skyrim by the Jarl Skald the Elder of Dawnstar upon him gaining his title, the Frostfant's being viewed as rivals of his family for generations, tolerated until he took power. Her father's family is from Markarth.

Bat the Axe, an old comrade of Loriel's from his days in the Dawnguard. An orc from Orsinium and a clan chief by the events of the main game. He is Loriel's best friend.

Do'zan, a khajiit bare-handed brawler from Elsweyr who met Loriel in his youth during Loriel's travels.

Laronen Elsinlock, one part of Loriel's triplet siblings. Fifth Emissary of the Thalmor, and healer. Altmer, obviously.

Lermion Elsinlock, one part of Loriel's triplet siblings. Blacksmith, married with four kids. Altmer, obviously.

Inkraas, my Dunmer dragonborn for the Dragonborn DLC facing off against Miraak. He's lived a very troubled life.

Vianna, non-dragonborn Bosmer, a devout worshiper of Hircine, ran away out of spite for being dropped as heiress to her family with the birth of her brother. She joined the vampires in the Dawnguard DLC for power.

Tsanji, a nord non-dragonborn who was raised in Elsweyr by her father's khajiit merchant friends. She returned to Skyrim to gain closure for her family's deaths. Becomes a Companion.

1. How did you get into Dragon Age?

The scene - winter break after my first semester of graduate school. I didn’t have a ton of friends in my new town, but my roommate had a robust collection of video games she let me borrow. Picked up Dragon Age: Origins completely at random.

37. Bloodmagic: yes or no?

I’m pro blood magic, although I don’t have any blood mage OCs. I’ll take this opportunity to promo my friend’s fic, featuring one of my favorite blood mages, Loriel Surana, in a thoughtful and emotional Awakening re-imagining. This fic shaped most of my headcanons on how blood magic functions, plus its various boons and drawbacks.

thank u!! and hhfhjdj Y eAh i. it’s not exactly a Book but it’s a story i’ve been working on for a couple years now. although it’s mostly in my head tbh. it’s gotten very complicated at this point lol so i couldnt possibly explain it all in one post but! if u ever see a post tagged “oc” followed by another tag with somebody’s name, there’s a good chance that character is from my story!! otherwise, it’s probably a dnd character or a character from my unwritten comic (another idea ive been working on for even longer and have even less progress on lol). i also have an aesthetic blog for all my characters, and some pinterest boards that i put way too much time into.

I’ll give just a quick lil rundown of each story just so y’all have kind of idea what they’re about!

Springfield is the working title for my main story, as that’s where it all begins: in a town called Springfield. (Very creative town name, I know.) It’s about a girl named Springer (her parents thought it’d be funny) who died under mysterious circumstances (oh no)! Then the story spirals out in all kinds of crazy ways from there. After Springer’s death, it mostly follows a man named Mick, who left town after the accident. But there’s a lot of other stuff going on, too! There’s a prequel called Ms. V’s or Earth’s Aliens (another working title) which takes place in a different town and involves Springer’s parents... and some aliens. There’s also a lot of stuff I haven’t quite figured out yet!

My comic is called Adventure BOOTS! It takes place in a more fantasy/adventure/D&D-ish type setting. It’s about a retired adventurer named Arthur who leaves retirement to go on a quest with his young son Billy and get some good father-son bonding. They meet a wand-for-hire named Kasey (an ex-witch on the run from her old coven), hire her, and get up to some shenanigans. Part of the comic also follows a pirate ship called the Delphinium and her crew. I don’t post about the comic very much because it’s rather undeveloped, but it’s still very important to me and I’d love to talk about it anytime!

Adventure BOOTS! characters: Arthur, Billy, Kasey, Ivan Isaac, Melinda, some miscellaneous witches and adventurers

Delphinium characters: Laura, Aleksandra/Alek, Loriel/Laurel, lots of other pirates, and also some adventures seen in flashbacks about their backstory
