Gally hides a lot of his panic attacks and nightmares that he got after he went through the Changing in a desperate attempt to be liked again in the Glade

He was kind of universally hated in the books, apparently becoming extremely unlikeable after he got Stung

which is honestly so sad. What he saw drove him slightly insane and he couldn’t handle it and shut down.

#it’s 2am I hope this makes sense my brain is losing itself #in a ‘Teresa lives’ AU I can actually totally see them becoming friends #if I had a nickel for every time a maze runner character witnessed horrors and did bad things #that specifically involved sacrificing one or two people in order to benefit many more people #I would have two nickels #they also bond over being extremely protective over Minho #because I think Teresa would be super duper protective of Minho in Paradise #partly out of guilt and partly out of trauma #she works closely with the doctors to heal him and visits him daily to make sure he’s feeling a-okay #she spoon feeds him when he’s too weak to feed himself #actually she has almost an obsession with bringing him food or feeding him or cooking food for him or just watching him eat in general #but it’s because WCKD regularly starved him or used food as an incentive/weapon against him #and now she’s just extremely determined to make sure Minho never has that happen to him again #Thomas sits in the corner awkwardly waiting for Teresa and Gally to finish fussing over his boyfriend so he can kiss him #Minho wakes up like ‘I don’t remember having a girlfriend as well as two boyfriends???’#and Thomas is just ‘YOU DONT????’#Minho will be sleeping on the couch for that comment tbh #Minho goes to Gally and/or Teresa whenever he and Thomas get into arguments #Thomas is so confused by this. For the last time, Marcus did not yell at Sydney because she rejected him.

For people to keep spreading that misinformation about a genuinely good person because they need a reason to hold C*rmy up as the only real option (even though Sydney not being interested in Marcus should be enough) is kind of wild to me. Marcus yelled because it was a high stress situation and Sydney was ignoring him in the kitchen, that's literally it, these people yell at each other in the kitchen all of the damn time. Please stop calling this man an incel, he is not. Also, there's nothing wrong or weird about him having feelings for her. She's great, why wouldn't he?

how do people have full-time jobs and lives? how do you balance it all?

between 40 hours of work, several dnd campaigns, working out 2-3 times a week, weekly date nights with my partner, volunteering as scouts leader (+ I'm team lead and treasurer) I have barely any time to rest, nevermind doing the housework or incidentals like seeing other friends or family.

i always feel rushed. i perform poorly at my job. i have random crying fits and i can't get any rest even if i cancel something bc i feel so guilty about cancelling. i barely sleep and then can't wake up. seriously, how are we meant to live?

#if i drop any of the campaigns i will lose touch with valued friends bc i simply do not have the time to see everyone individually #i cannot stop as scouts leader bc we have too few leaders as is #i can't stop working out bc that's healthy #genuinely. how are we meant to juggle all this #i keep spinning too many plates and I've broken 3 metaphorical plates this month. 2 cost me 200 bucks each and the 3rd was a fuckup #that rightfully got my girlfriend angry at me #and the more i fuck up the more stressed i get. the more i fuck up. etc.#I haven't fekt properly relaxed mentally or physically in weeks #vent tw #yasha at work

truly did not expect to come out of my tmi reread a hardcore jimon but i should have known that the second i started ironically shipping them it was over for me

#i could dissect it for ages but i think their reluctant friendship combined with the fact that they are #objectively the two most attractive characters in the series just makes them make a strange amount of sense #like obviously their dislike for each other is mostly for comedic purposes #but its like.... why is jace avoiding physically touching simon after all this time still? even though they lived together etc?#and also the fact that most moments of intimacy between them are framed as either simon or jace 'losing control'#eg simon drinking jaces blood or jace moving in w/protecting simon when he was mentally in a very dark place #it basicallt perpetuates the narrative of jace (mostly jace) having some kind of positive feelings for simon which he prefers to repress #which makes very little sense. because thats his girlfriends best friend. unless there's something else at play there #do you get me. IM NOT CRAZY. okay maybe a little #vic reads tmi #(also yes simon is arguably the most attractive character in the series based on other characters' interactions with him)#(...and i would go as far to say that simon's attractiveness is as relevant to the plot of tmi as jace's is)#jimon

i'll start drafting long posts talking about how some people overblow ten's ego/arrogance especially dw dudebros who ignore his guilt/depression/trauma and how his thinking of regeneration as death has less to do with him super really loving being Dweeb Alien David Tennant and more to do with him not wanting to move on from the deep love and grief that has defined his identity . and then i will not post these drafts because i do not want to be more annoying about ten than i already am

This one is at least lighthearted…#aside from the main actor’s gut-wrenching screams (good god)#body horror tw #At some point a movie becomes so disturbing that it reverses polarity and you can’t take it seriously #The directors knew this and used it to make a horror comedy film… that you can actually take seriously #It worked beautifully #You have this jerk who jokes about others’ trauma (including losing a leg and cultural genocide for instance)#And by the end of the film; he himself has lost both legs and has become the victim to cruel human experimentation #And when his jokester friends come to his aid; none of the people they ask for help take it seriously #And the whole thing started because this guy wanted to exploit the victim of a freak accident for views #for his horribly insensitively-named podcast #And he didn’t get help in time because he cheated on his girlfriend which caused her to cheat on him #which then caused her not to pick up the phone when he called for help until the next morning because she was with his costar #And help was delayed also because of the name of his podcast being an atrocity no one wanted a part of #ough… yes… haha… YES.#Play stupid games; win stupid prizes — The Movie #Wonderful #Glorious #whoever played the villain really made the movie… he was perfect #and I loved how they introduced the characters and their intentions by doing asides (is that the correct term?)#Clean work #AND by finding the movie (and the post-credits meta podcast banter) funny; you yourself are laughing at someone’s trauma #so the universe might pay YOU back
