I've been thinking about that one piece of potentially lost media that I swear I remember watching at my grandmother's house as a kid on HBO on demand or something similar. I remembered a couple of extra details so I thought I'd share them in case anyone wants to find it.
It was very primitive CGI.
All the characters were toys (I think)
Each toy had their own "special power"
The protagonist's dad tells them not to use their power too much and to only use it when important
It was NOT Toy Story.
It was absolutely something that seemed to want to cash in on Toy Story
There was a part where they were all at school. It was a one room schoolhouse with a gray floor.
A reoccurring bit was that there was an old lady complaining about how the town's gazebo either disappeared or moved
At the end of the movie(?), the protagonist is attacked by a giant snake and their dad uses his power of freezing time to save his kid from the snake
if this sounds familiar please let me know. i need to see this again

ok it’s finally time to unleash my lost media memories on the internet: there is a knockoff (?) mlp movie from either the 90s or early 2000s that i used to be obsessed with. the only distinguishing factors i have to offer is that it was animated and had a magical fantasy world setting, and the main plot point i remember is this: these evil sisters who were fighting with each other to help their evil mother and they had to collect some kind of evil goo, but the goo was dangerous to get so they kept fighting over who was gonna get it. i think the goo was also sentient? unfortunately this is literally all i remember besides the fact that several scenes in the movie used to scare me, and it generally had a 90s animated movie vibe but pretty colorful.
i am CONVINCED this movie exists and i did not just make it up, but i’ve literally never seen it referenced before anywhere online, and i haven’t been able to find any physical copies in my old house (i had it on DVD).

If Chris Farley hadn’t tragically passed away in 1997, Shrek would have been released years earlier with his voice and likeness as originally planned.
In this timeline, it would likely not have opened with the 1999 song “All Star”, and it would now be Mystery Men, not Shrek, that we ironically celebrate online for its association with Smash Mouth.
Raising a glass for the people we’ve lost; the dank William H. Macy memes we could have shared.

Lost movie?
So a friend of mine has been searching for this movie he saw as a teen for a long time. It seems to have vanished. He had a friend with the original VHS who sent it away to make DVD copies for the whole graduating class. They never got the VHS back and never got the product. Now they cant find any trace of this bit of media. It’s a movie about a child starting school, and before he heads to school he has a monster show up and start teaching him about school and school buses. There is a whole song about school buses. Something along the lines of it being a yellow school bus and it being referred to as a limousine? If anyone has information on the name of the movie or any links to sources for this please sent a lead!

London After Midnight (also marketed as The Hypnotist) is a lost 1927 American silent-era mystery-thriller pseudo-vampire film that collectors now consider the 'holy grail' of lost films—directed and co-produced by Tod Browning and starring Lon Chaney, with Marceline Day, Conrad Nagel, Henry B. Walthall and Polly Moran. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer distributed the film.
The last known copy was destroyed in the 1965 MGM vault fire, along with hundreds of other rare early films, making it for decades one of the most sought-after lost films of the silent era. In 2002, Turner Classic Movies aired a reconstructed version, produced by Rick Schmidlin, who used the original script and film stills to recreate the original plot.
In May 2022, there were attempts to find a copy of the film in Australia, which was at the end of the film distribution chain.

Drawing For Nothing is out!
Forgot to announce this here but the first ten chapters for Drawing For Nothing have been released! For those who missed the last post, this is a free, digital art book for animated films that were either canceled or bombed due to complicated issues.

More chapters are to come. A few highlights in the next installation will be My Peoples and Larrikins.
Also, if anyone wants to help research, feel free to send a DM! We're also working on a new cover that will feature custom artwork of various characters from these movies. If you think you got what it takes to draw in the style of another artist, we would appreciate the help!

Instead of telling men to repress their emotions to appear stronger we should encourage them to sing incredibly dramatic ballads to process their emotions like in fictional movies. Maybe the world would heal faster. And also it would be very funny.
