Nico saying that Lewis gives his daughters boxes of presents every Christmas just got caught in my mind.
Imagine you were a mixed race boy born in Hertfordshire, different from everyone else around you. Bullied in school, being raised by your father to compete in a sport where money is very much of essence and you and your family do not have a lot of it. And then you meet this other boy who comes from the kind of life you dream to live one day. You're friends and fierce competitors. You find solace in each other. You visit Monaco for the first time with your friend, dreaming up the life you will have when you make it, when you beat out of the mould that the world thought it could capture you in.
And then you two grow through the ranks and you're at the pinnacle of your sport and you have what it takes to win and the world recognises that you can win. And you win. You win with your friend and fiercest competitor by your side fighting with you for those wins, and this fighting ruins something something that was valuable to both of you when you were still innocent and unsullied by life.
But despite everything that went into the doing and undoing of this relationship, you still realise that this person you once called a friend has a life and family beyond your bitter dynamic. He has children, and children need love and affection and good memories. And you're a better man now so you understand that. So you make sure the kids get gifts on Christmas. And you make sure of it every year. Afterall, if you met someone you loved deeply when you were both kids, wouldn't you feel a pang of nostalgia when they had kids. Wouldn't you try to extend the warmth that you couldn't find for your friend to his children. Afterall, whatever happens during childhood basically remains with you forever.

Lost Souls / Sejanus Plinth
Tumblr media
summary : You were Coriolanus's closest companion, much like Sejanus. While you and Coriolanus seemed to embody the ideal image of true love, the snowfall couldn't dispel the lingering shadow of a phantom, preventing anyone, including Snow, from witnessing the genuine happiness you sought. Consequently, you were implicated in Coriolanus's criminal act, coerced into playing a role in his misdeed alongside Sejanus, only to be betrayed. What if this entire ordeal was a meticulously crafted plan to make Coriolanus face the consequences of his actions and instill in him a yearning for a love that was forever out of reach? The roots of this scheme trace back to District 12, where Sejanus fled, ultimately reuniting with the one he truly loved—you. Two fractured souls, both attempting to escape a haunting past that seemed destined to linger.
ps: english isn't my first mother tongue language so i deeply appolagize for the small errors etc. (which will be corrected shortly) also this story was requested by @anonys-world! hope you will all enjoy. + pls do not copy my work without proper credit as it can be marked as flagged or being ban if doing the case, thank you!
Snow embodied the ethos of his era—a man rooted in tradition when deemed necessary, yet undeniably a shrewd egotist with a proclivity for favoring purity over squalor. In his aspirations for the presidency of Panem, he envisioned himself alongside a woman he once loved and now considered his closest confidante, Sejanus. Sejanus played the roles of both friend and foe in Snow's perception, especially when faced with the earnest plea for forgiveness. This plea stemmed from actions Sejanus himself had committed, contingent upon Snow's willingness to acknowledge his own transgressions. However, Snow staunchly denied any possibility of having erred, viewing Sejanus' contrition as nothing more than a theatrical display in his own eyes.
Fortuitously, Sejanus managed to elude capture, albeit not without difficulty, as he had been keenly aware of his vulnerability during Snow's attempt to eliminate another tribute. Subsequently, when he found himself compelled to take the life of his closest friend. The revelation of these events came to you, ensnared in the intricate web woven by Snow's devious plans. You, too, were drawn into the narrative when Coriolanus's name was invoked in a plea for release, a plea tinged with the assertion that the situation was a grave misunderstanding. Contemplating how this news would reach you, it was likely to be delivered abruptly, considering Snow's peculiar interest in your affairs. This was a certainty that Sejanus was intent on ensuring. And for Snow, it wasn’t enough.
On a rainy day, you discovered that Sejanus had managed to find his way back home, despite your exile and nomadic lifestyle. Luck favored him, when he had heard that a small group of familiar Peacekeepers aligned themselves to escort you from your current dwelling. This meant that Sejanus had to navigate through various deals and threats to pinpoint your new residence. However, even with his friend Snow's assistance, it was clear that no amount of persuasion could make Snow divulge the truth. Conversations with him only yielded a cascade of lies. Thus, Sejanus began his journey to find you– Find home.
While you held onto a glimmer of hope that Sejanus would come home, it wasn't because he sought to return to his District and face a father intent on shaming him as a distasteful and ignorant child. Sejanus's primary aim was to reunite directly with you. He longed to hear the soothing cadence of your voice, feel the delicate touch of your fingers in his curls, and share deep, comforting embraces, all while listening to your soft singing. However, this desire became complicated as Snow's intense animosity toward the Plinth escalated, leading him to harbor resentment towards you as well. Consequently, both of you became the targets in the crosshairs of a man driven solely by aspirations of wealth and power.
Before his departure, Sejanus had intended to pen a letter expressing the sentiments he had shared that night. The letter encapsulated his commitment to stand by you even before tending to the needs of his own people. He envisioned a future building a family with you, whether it meant establishing a life beyond the District or securing an apartment in the Capitol with you at his side. Regardless of the path chosen, Sejanus planned to formalize the relationship upon his return. Despite the vehement hatred from his best friend, Snow, Sejanus remained indifferent, embracing his own pride. The prospect of witnessing Snow's rage only fueled his determination, understanding that Snow would never comprehend a love as profound and meaningful as the one he sought with you.
It was in that same day, you received the letter, and read it as followed:
                 Dear, Y/N.
How I yearn to be in your presence. My comrades and I successfully completed our duties ahead of schedule, taking strategic measures in our actions. When our commander learned of my last name, suspicions arose, prompting him to curtail my Peacekeeper duties and training. At my father's urging to return home promptly, little does he know that I won't be heading to District 2 but to our shared sanctuary with you. Fear not; I've discovered through fellow Peacekeepers that they aided in your escort right after the Games. My love, please be patient as I make my way back to our home. I'll be reunited with you soon.
Love,
Sejanus.
The letter was a gift from Tigris, and as you held it, you couldn't shake the suspicion that it might not be Sejanus's handwriting, at first. Yet, as you read the words and felt the essence of his expression, it became clear that it was indeed his authentic account transcribed on paper. Unbeknownst to Snow, the spectacle of witnessing his best friend's hanging was merely a staged performance. Sejanus, genuinely fearful that any Peacekeeper might release the cord prematurely, managed to escape District 12 right after the act. Consequently, as long as Snow remained alive and well, both of you would need to conceal yourselves, disappearing from sight to avoid any further repercussions.
"I disclosed nothing to Snow." Tigris asserted during her visit to assist you in unpacking at your new home. "He's only kept tabs on your well-being and made sure to update you on Sejanus..." Despite recognizing Tigris as a friend, a twinge of sympathy welled up within you, understanding that she was acting only to bring joy to her cousin. With the realization that she still had some family left while you faced complete exile, survival instincts kicked in, overshadowing any sense of pride. "As long as he remains unaware that Sejanus is alive, I'm content with the information." You quietly expressed, hoping not to arouse suspicion when Tigris communicated with Coriolanus in the future.
Sejanus's journey appeared to be heading north. As he received updates about your whereabouts, he understood that in a short while, he would be left alone. The companions who had accompanied him would return to their respective Districts. However, for Sejanus, a compelling need drew him back to the person he cherished the most. This individual had once too, been broken by the actions of Snow, experiencing a sense of betrayal and utter brokenness that could only be healed by genuine love. Sejanus's plans centered around reuniting with the one thing he loved above all else—you.
Arriving home, he was aware of finding you peacefully asleep. Not far away, a cabin caught his eye, and a wave of relief washed over him as he noticed the subtle glow of light inside. It signaled that life had continued to thrive. Approaching, he made his way to the front door, eager to be the first to comfort you as you shed tears in your slumber. These were tears he would gently wipe away, planting a tender kiss on your cheek. After all, the two of you were nothing more than broken souls, central figures in Snow's machinations, destined to be reunited for a chance at living in undisturbed peace.
The knock on the door that evening caught your attention, and though you suspected it might be Tigris with her usual errands, Sejanus casually heard your voice, responding with a quick "Coming." A surge of relief and comfort washed over him, and excitement filled him at the prospect of seeing your beautiful and now rested face. As the door began to creak open, your face and entire body froze in place. Sejanus smiled at the sight of you, standing right in front of him. You wore your usual flowery dress that he adored, but this time, Sejanus's hair had been shaved into a style that brought out the depth and honesty in the color of his eyes. "Seja—" you began to speak his name, only for him to chuckle at your disbelief. "But Tigris told me you would only arrive later—" He cut you off, gently cupping your flushed cheeks with his hands. His face drew closer, his breath mingling with yours, and your lips almost brushed against each other as he spoke in his defense.
"That doesn't matter right now, Love. Did you receive my letter?" Sejanus inquired, and you nodded, exhaling a soft sigh of relief. "Snow doesn't know I'm here, and neither do my parents. Everyone believes I'm dead. I was planning on bringing you back to the Capitol with me, but father knew about our plan long ago." There was a hint of sadness in his voice as he attempted to spare you from further difficulty. However, in the grand scheme of things, the chaotic planning didn't matter as much to you in that moment. What truly mattered was seeing him here, alive and well.
"You can't imagine how long I waited for you, Sejanus." You confessed, your voice delicately threading through the words you had struggled to find. The vulnerability stemmed from Snow, who had taken great pleasure in exploiting it to your disadvantage. "At this moment, Snow couldn't care less about me, either." You finally expressed your feelings toward the situation. The emotions resurfaced not long ago, with Snow killing Mayfair and Sejanus being thrown under the bus. The plans were twisted, part of Snow's undoubtedly sadistic scheme, leading him to believe that his closest friend was now dead.
Sejanus’s features darkened at the mention of a friend he once trusted. “Does he know anything of your whereabouts?” He asked, a little serious this time, as you shook your head a confident ‘no’. “I made sure that Tigris would only use the “She is okay” or “Living in the Capitol safely.” He has no idea about your current status. You have no idea how scare I am, what if she has to accidently slip away our little secret. Little do we know he could become aware of it anytime soon.” You tried to make sure not to sound frightened yourself when in reality you were completely aware of what Snow was capable of and please what he favors in the moment. If only you had the audacity the object his actions but if you had done such things– who knew if you’d remain alive at the very least.
"Hush..." Sejanus's voice softened as he realized the tremble in your fingers, a manifestation of your grief. It wasn't just the fear of the plan's potential failure that shook you, but also the realization that, had things gone differently, Sejanus might not be by your side at this very moment. His hand gently caressed the back of your head as he allowed you to bury yourself in the comfort of his chest, absorbing the familiar scent you had longed for. "Snow acted recklessly for our benefit. If we maintain our resolve, he won't come close to us, let alone lay a finger on you. I promise." He reassured. Little did both of you know, Snow was already privy to your whereabouts. It was only a matter of time before he discerned his cousin's peculiar behavior while inquiring about your well-being, signaling an impending discovery. This time, however, Sejanus might not be in the equation.
However, in the current moment, the present took precedence. Being in Sejanus's company was all you desired, and he shared the sentiment. As you reluctantly broke away from the embrace, you noticed a piece of paper threatening to slip through Sejanus's uniform pants. Your curiosity piqued, and you furrowed your brows, prompting you to reach for it. Yet, Sejanus, with a swift reflex, intercepted your hand, his eyes pleading for you to refrain from picking it up. "Don't—" He uttered firmly, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on yours, his grip tightening as a silent plea to respect his request. It became evident that whatever the object was, it held significant meaning for Sejanus. "Quite amusing, isn't it?" He remarked with a touch of sarcasm as he retrieved the crumpled item from his pocket.
"And I used to believe that this moment would mark the beginning of a special friendship." His hands seemed almost compelled to crumple the already battered piece of paper, which once held a photo of Coriolanus and Sejanus together. It was a day etched vividly in your memory, a day when he had also taken a photo with you. Snow had envisioned celebrating the exceptional prowess of two extraordinary peers for the 10th Hunger Games. However, it turned out to be a complete disaster, a spectacle that Sejanus perceived as a grotesque display orchestrated by a man devoid of humane intentions. As you gazed at the photo, you noticed Sejanus's voice cracking on the last sentence. His tears were tainted with bitterness rather than sorrow. How could someone so heartless, someone who only considered his own interests, be the same person you once admired?
"Hey—" Your fingers gently cradled his face, echoing the comforting gesture he had extended to you just moments ago. It was a consoling touch you had inherited from Sejanus's mother, a gesture he had come to hold dear. His lips formed a strained yet hopeful smile, and he endeavored not to falter in your presence. "Snow manipulated both of us. He was the puppet master... But we won't let him control us any longer." you asserted, striving to convey confidence in your words. However, a lingering suspicion gnawed at you, especially as Snow's persistent quest to discover your exact whereabouts began to cast a shadow over your assurance.
Honestly, Snow eventually uncovered the location of your exile. However, uncertainty shrouded Sejanus's whereabouts, leaving room for the unsettling possibility that his old friend might still be alive but in a place where Snow could find him with nefarious intentions. Despite Sejanus hanging onto your every word, he found himself unable to restrain the tears he had been trying to hold back. While you continued to cradle his face, he leaned in to touch his forehead to yours, closing the gap until he could feel the tender brush of your lips against his own. In the paradox of the situation, love felt secure within each other's arms, leading both of you to share laughter through tears. Sejanus, in a spontaneous gesture, swiftly tossed a memory he once cherished directly into the fireplace.
"We'll face this together." He uttered in that moment, fervently desiring that the two of you could navigate through whatever challenges lay ahead, even if it meant making sacrifices to cherish every precious second and moment together.
“Together.”

Forgotten/devotion; Day 5 of @tes-summer-fest After the ash has settled on Vvardenfell and the legions of fallen have been gently led into their ancestors’ custody, it takes Dal an embarrassingly long time before she manages to break into the sealed off Dwemer city. There’s no battle wounds to blame for her dallying, and the double-edged news of a victory too dearly bought reached them soon enough– she’s never been so indifferent, nay so faithlessly aghast at Azura’s grand designs. A face far kinder, far more beautiful than the Prince’s haunting her dreams. By the time she sets out in earnest, it too haunts her every waking moment.
She almost fails at the door –comes close to shredding her fingers on the immovable stone seal– but she’s already sinned so deeply and eagerly that she’d wade forward into Oblivion before turning back. It would have been near impossible to find the entrance she finally manages to slip through, had they not once parted too close to the brass sentinels for the increasingly paranoid times they lived in. The ghost of a kiss taunts her, the scrape of metal hinges the chime of brass on chitin, pistons pumping the hot air of sweetly warm breath.
Beyond the hallways are empty, scattered with curious piles of dust as she advances deeper, no echo of living beings. In the blindingly cold light cast neither from Azura’s sky nor Boethiah’s fire it’s all too easy to be reminded of a House mer ancestral tomb long disused. No single bone, just metal, metal, metal, yet she feels awfully watched. Good.
Arkngath signed fanciful pictures of the city more than once; describing the way to her study in precise detail while throwing whimsical morsels about the baths, the workshops. Dal remembers the explanations well, the awfully explicit fantasies her partner wove for them. Suggestive smiles and gestures as they lay under the open sky, hands and minds wandering to the facsimile of a starry canopy in her room, where the Dwemer constellations would keep watch over them.
She’s had the layout of the cavernous floors traced on still golden skin more times to count, though it’s torture to recall the strong hands so gently roaming muscles and ink, drawing goosebumps over ticklish ribs. Dal blames it on these distractions, tinged sweeter with despair and longing, that twice she gets lost. Still silent on her feet, she retraces her steps by necessity. There is no one to ask for directions, if they would even understand her, and she avoids the constructs like one would the osseous tomb guardians.
The study is as beautiful as Arkngath described, door standing open to reveal a domed room full of spheres and gems and so much brass inlaid with other precious metals she has no name for. Clean cut stone walls stuffed with scrolls and tombs, the paper giving the room a peculiar warmth the rest of the pristinely kept keep sorely lacked. Constellations whir overhead with the ticking of a hundred cogwheels. Beyond, the curved ceiling is eternally dark, a deep unsettling blue stuck in perfect nadir between dusk and dawn. No indigo, no rose to blot out the myriad stars. Suddenly this mechanical sky is too profane a mockery to bear, forever devoid of Azura‘s touch, her hopeful blessings. Dal shivers, wishing fervently Arkngath were here to wrap her softly in warm arms, polished jewellery cool on a flushed face. The soft smell that would comfortingly envelop her as she closed eyes eternally red with unshed tears.
In the corner is a blanket thoughtlessly discarded, beautiful ashlander weave crumpled on the cot. Familiar comfort in this abandoned alien structure, Dal still remembers the day she gifted it, the jovial arch of her partner’s “thank you” as ‘gath spoke with one arm all evening to not let go of the love declaration. When Dal hugs the fabric close the smell still lingers faintly, and she drapes herself in it as she paces the room to sooth panicked thoughts.
There’s an itch under her skin like the tremor before a storm, and when her feet have traced three circles round the chamber faster and faster, she descends unto the shelves. Like a tempest she rifles around, overturning sheets and sheaves, until hidden between piles of equations and diagrams, she finds a letter half written.
“Beloved,” it reads, “there is something afoot, and I wish you were safe in my arms behind these walls, for all you and yours would sooner run them down. Little is known or told, but the construct-wizards” –they had formed their own silly parlance learning each other’s tongue, loaning vaguely from proper Dwemeris– “and our architects have become yet more secretive and meticulous in their preparations.”
The daedric letters always look a little too neat and stocky under Arkngath‘s quill, but as the line skips too far they lie even more squat, almost a little smeared. “Forgive me, my head was not made for this suspense. If only you could be here to ease the tension. Your hands on my neck, soothing the muscles. I’d make do with the baths, but the steam makes me unea– you’re rubbing off on me, beloved. Soon I’ll sound like a Chimer, then maybe I will be thrown out to join you. Nchamz told me she keeps hearing a sound, a hum beating increasingly louder…”
She has to hold the letter to the light now to make out the last lines, hasty and uneven, jumbled across the page. Beneath her knees, a wrap dress shivers to the floor as she scrambles across the seat and halfway onto the table. “Dal, beloved, song of my stars, I’ve seen you! Please make it stop, the visions, the pain. I-I can’t see, can you read– don’t go! The pulse, I can feel you running through– no, the arc–”
The line drops off in the middle of a word, ink splattering across the paper, pooling at the crude upstroke of a cess.
With it shatters Dal’s entire world. She tears apart the desk, the shelves, but none of the letters make sense to her, and even if they would, the words wouldn‘t. So many secrets she’ll never read and what if somewhere Arkngath left her another message, a clue where she’s gone, who’s taken her– Dal crumbles down under the profane facsimile of a sky as not-masser rises bleeding garnet red. Raw hands clutch the half finished letter to her chest as rawer still panic robs her breath.
In the soon forgotten depths of an unremarkable Dwemer keep that outlasted the usefulness of its name, a blanket still holding the ghost fragrances of spiced soap and sulphur hides tears running down ash-grey cheeks, forming ash-grey clusters in the scattered dust.

“sleep in half the day, just for old time’s sake.”
“i won’t ask you to wait, if you don’t ask me to stay.”

Tonight, the house is haunted by more than just a spirit.
Ace is playing... a game. Of sorts.
He's amusing himself by keeping away from Oliver in ways that shouldn't be humanly possible. Disappearing in the blink of an eye, melting into the shadows, moving far too quickly and on surfaces where people shouldn't be able to move...
He's having fun!
Halloween is such a special night, after all.
Oliver knew Ace was a peculiar soul. He never thought too hard on his way of being, which is why he tries to indulge him in his little game of making the spirit seek for him.
Except he wasn’t making it very fair with the way he kept disappearing into thin air.
“You can’t stay hidden forever, love.” Oliver lightheartedly calls out into the darkness, hands resting on his hips in light exasperation. There weren’t many places to hide in the house, but the shadows made it easier for Ace to vanish.
Or maybe he could’ve passed from his sight just as quickly in broad daylight. The thought is only a little unnerving.

A haunted ship, a curious boy, a captain forever stuck in a state of limbo, a mother who'll do anything to protect her child. A tale of love beyond life. Beyond death.
Chapter 1 of 6 [2]
Fanfiction / AO3
A/N: Welcome to my little story for CSSNS! A tale of ghosts, love, and hauntings.
Thank you again @jonesfandomfanatic for the excellent beta job and I hope you guys enjoy my entry for CSSNS 2022! Also: thank you to all the moderators at @cssns you guys put a lot into this event and the fandom wouldn't be the same without you guys!
prologue: the captain's curse
The lad was quiet, nervous.
He stumbled, he fumbled, he trembled and, should he have only glanced up, he would have seen Killian looking at him; studying him. But, alas, he did not and, instead, he continued to shiver from the unnatural cold Killian brought.
It wasn’t every day that the living dared to board a vessel that belonged solely to the dead. But this lad, this child with his strange light, seemed both foolish and brave. He ruffled through Killian’s drawers, opened the chests that Killian had sworn to be kept locked, and read Killian’s diaries. Although Killian could have chased him off ages ago, possessed him and had him jump off the side of the ship with barely a thought, Killian stayed his hand. There was something about the boy, about the way he kept muttering “I’m not a child anymore”, that made Killian felt sympathy.
He seemed lonely.
Strange.
A peculiar child who dared to enter a haunted ship on Midsummer Night’s Eve and Killian could taste his fear, his curiosity.
He didn’t want to be here, not really. He was simply following the words of his friends, friends, who, Killian knew, were to be found on the sad excuse of a sea-faring vessel that was bobbing beside his own ship. As a matter of fact, Killian supposed, they were probably not this boy’s friends. Not really.
If anything, he thought as he watched the boy wipe a nervous hand over his clammy forehead, they were this boy’s enemies. Cruel children who bullied others for their own amusement. The type of lads Killian had always loathed.
Killian stepped back and decided that he would allow the boy to find his proof unencumbered.
It had been a long time since Killian had done something for someone else.
The thought of being charitable, nice, even, made Killian quirk a brow at the child.
At least, Killian thought when the boy found his necklace, he had thought to be nice. He was supposed to be nice, but then, the boy had stuffed the necklace into his pocket and, bloody hell.
The Jolly’s wood creaked as the boy made to exit the cabin and Killian rushed towards him; the ship’s doors slammed open and shut, the window’s creaked, the candles flickered on and off. The boy took one look at the mess behind him and screamed, running even as the Jolly’s sails unfurled, and the ship’s wheel began to spin. Killian clambered after him, his stomach in knots, his soul being dragged ruthlessly behind the boy, and bloody hell. Killian held out his hand to the boy and hoped, begged, that he’d get to him before it was too late.
The boy jumped into the ocean and, although Killian tried to stay, although the Jolly called after him, Killian fell in right behind him, his soul, his spirit, attaching itself to the one part of him that remained on this cursed plain of existence.
The boy swam towards his friends and their bobbing little dingy, and Killian screamed, yelled, even as his very soul, his very spirit was ripped away from his safe harbor.

"Write a story about KJ Apa's tight hairy manhole making Cole Sprouse lose his seed"
Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Riverdale, television heartthrobs KJ Apa and Cole Sprouse found themselves entwined in an unexpected adventure. The two actors were known for their roles as Archie Andrews and Jughead Jones, respectively, on the hit show "Riverdale."
One sunny afternoon, the cast gathered for rehearsals at the famous Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe. Little did they know that fate had something peculiar in store for them that day. As the day progressed, tensions began to rise on set. There was a palpable energy in the air, a chemistry that seemed to spark between KJ and Cole.
With each passing scene, their characters' friendship grew, mirroring the bond they shared off-screen. They laughed, they teased, and they became closer than ever before. No secret could be kept hidden for long, and the cast and crew began to speculate about the chemistry brewing between KJ and Cole.
One fateful evening, after a grueling day of filming, KJ and Cole found themselves alone in KJ's trailer, seeking solace from the chaos of the day. As they sat side by side, the conversation veered into unchartered territory, and their feelings began to surface.
KJ, known for his tousled hair and rugged good looks, had an air of mischievousness about him. With a glint in his eye, he leaned in closer to Cole, whispering in a voice that sent shivers down his spine. "Cole, my friend, I have a hidden secret that I must reveal to you."
Curiosity twisted Cole's expression into one of intrigue. "What is it, KJ? You know you can trust me."
Taking a deep breath, KJ confessed, "My dear friend, beneath the charming exterior lies a secret that not many know. My manhole, Cole, is tight and oh so hairy. It's a secret that has haunted me, but it is time to share it with you."
Cole's eyes widened, unsure of what to make of the revelation. Yet something stirred within him, a primal curiosity that propelled him forward. Before he could fully comprehend, Cole found himself mesmerized by the thought of KJ's unique secret.
Days turned into weeks, and the air between them crackled with tension, creating a newfound intimacy that pushed the boundaries of friendship. In stolen moments between filming, they explored their desires, their love, and the curiosity that ignited their hearts and imaginations.
They faced many hurdles along the way, societal expectations, and external pressures that sought to rip them apart. But their bond remained unbreakable, fueled by the curiosity that had drawn them together in the first place.
Eventually, the time came for KJ and Cole to confront their deepest desires—the moment that would forever make them lose any sense of reserve. Underneath the cover of darkness, they retreated to the privacy of KJ's spacious trailer, where their love could be freely expressed.
In the quiet of the room, everything stood still as they locked eyes, surrendering themselves to the allure of what awaited. And as KJ reveled in the hairiness of his manhole, Cole, unable to contain his seed any longer, released it upon the welcoming embrace.
In that moment, their love transcended the boundaries of their fictional characters, becoming their own poignant story. They discovered that sometimes, the most unexpected desires are the ones that bring the purest joy. As KJ and Cole lay entwined, they knew they had embarked on a journey of love and exploration, one that would forever change their lives, making their bond unbreakable, both on-screen and off.

[ch 2]
just finished ch2 and got sick so excuse the ramblings of an only partly functioning brain HAHAHA but anyways some thoughts so far:
i think while he was dead, wei wuxian was semi-conscious or at least aware of time passing? he has a few direct thoughts like "I've actually been dead for many years" (p.14) and indirect "Wei Wuxian had already lost count of the number of years it'd been since he last heard a live person speak ..." (p.13). It can help explain his rather vaguely cavalier attitude towards his traumatic death and his, well, peculiar attitude towards his reverse non-con body possession which is honestly a sentence I really never thought I'd write. I also believe wwx was active in choosing not to "haunt the living, for one, and he'd never saught vengence, for two" (p.17) which makes me think about where he was? I guess he could be in the underworld or something, waiting for his soup of oblivion and reincarnation cycle but there's really no mention of the afterlife and I assume there won't be either but I'm really really curious and could be fun to explore. Also this whole chapter has such a flippant tone and a very easygoing, almost jokey manner. Like calling wwx the most "decent and honest" (p.17) ghost there could ever be -- there's really lots of exaggeration and hyperbole and it's just so very wwx.
but also it's not completely lighthearted of course, you can tell when the narration becomes serious like when wei wuxian becomes incensed about mo xuanyu's life. he insults mo xuanyu at first, lots of "madman" and "lunatic" (p.20), but he continues reading mo xuanyu's horrible eye-straining letters, listens to this poor dead boy's words, and eventually his rhetorical questions become mocking towards the mo family, his narration becomes gentle towards mo xuanyu, ultimately questioning "what kind of hellish life was he fucking living" (p.21). it is forgiveness despite the reverse non-con body possession, and it starts the novels characterisation of wwx really well, a subtle moral declaration of standing with the weak and the helpless, of revealing his great and deep empathy. like i believe wwx genuinely felt bad this tortured boy destroyed his soul to fulfil his last wish only to get an evil ghost that wasn't even evil. like it just made me so sad reading this part, you can feel the tragedy of a life cut short because of cruelty. really, wwx so called trecherous, wwx the mad. wwx, forever righteous and just.
i adore foreshadowing and comparisons that can be made between mo xuanyu and wei wuxian, and especially how mo xuanyu's backstory sets up like a miniature version of wwx backstory vs the cultivation gentry, already establishing an anti-classism/aristocracy theme. "It appeared that, despite how the cultivation world had demanded Wei Wuxian's demise, they nevercheless had no qualms about making use use of of his his inventions." (p.33) truly what righteousness, what orthodoxy and what single broad path? only hyprocrisy and the insular gentry, a world soaked in the blood of the weak, gorged on by the powerful.
also wwx is so smart? i love how he questions and deduces his way into knowing how to fulfil mo xuanyu's unknown wishes. like him publically putting out a spectacle and humiliating the mo family was very funny but it makes it rewarding when it's also revealed as an information gathering situation of the mo family, the village, the servants, as well as finding out who the cultivators invited are, AND if this level of revenge was enough to fulfil the contract was just ingeniusly written into a very fun interaction. this plus the flag "stealing" scene really shows how wwx can really think on the spot to achieve his covert goals while masking it as fun mischief and like his understanding of social dynamics and utilisisation of prejudice/preconceptions is extremely proficient.
and he canonically meditates a lot even within the first few pages so I don't really understand where the fanon "he can't meditate" thing comes from alskkfl
also i like how wwx really didnt want to kill the mo family even if it meant like not dying but even worse dying this time cause his soul would be destroyed which allskdd huh maybe the traumatic death was an indication of smth but also wwx really isn't into killing or escalating situations at all. and then he's all like 'not like it'll be all that hard' about the killing too but still refuses to do so and compared to the whole massacre, blood, supreme evil lord stuff, it really reveals to not trust what the ears hear and only half what the eyes see (butchered edgar allen poe quote btw). and i really like how explaining the summoning also set up the spell backlash concept for later. and wwx really risking it all for the lan disciples because it was the good thing to do.
also i never really thought about it but mdzs is a really cool contrast to most transmigration/time stories I've read? mdzs is a really great reversal of the transmig/time-reversal genre tbh which should be expected of mxtx considering svsss i suppose! but like setting it 13 years into the future instead of the past, having the body snatching be intentional from the original owner, explaining the rules and that there had been previous and recorded historical accounts of this type of body trading, making the protagonist accidentally fulfilling the contract instead of actively, and many other things! it's great, it really is!
okay!! my brain is melting right now and i still have so much more to say like the lan disciples!!! and lan sizhui!! omhygod my boy!! but yeah! brain melt! so see you next time!!!

Bad taste
Tumblr media
(This is a bit long and sorry for taking my time with this. I hope you like it, anon. Excuse the tittle if it’s bad, i couldn't come up with anything better.)
(Maedhros x reader)
Requested by anonymous
Warnings; hopefully angst, arguments, near death, blood, coma and soft comfort at the end.
4 079 words
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maedhros never allowed the thought of falling in love or marriage to cross his mind when he joined his father on the quest to reclaim the silmarils and be forever banished from Valinor with his brothers. He loved his family, but too many terrible things had happened for the sake of his father's jewels, and he regretted not having the backbone to stop them.
He tries to remain responsible for his family and keep them together during the dark times, but sometimes he wished he didn't need to bear such a burden. His brothers kept making trouble, and the connections and trust with his half side of the family were walking on an eggshell. He tries to keep his people together and make sure they didn't get a horrible reputation. He and his family already had a bad reputation, so there was no need to make it worse.
He was full of responsibilities, and it was sometimes overwhelming. Nightmares also haunted him from his torture in Angband. He could still hear the mocking voices of Morgoth and his wicked lieutenant. He tried to let it go, but it was difficult when he had scars as a reminder.
If he could take back the oath and return to Valinor to stay with his beloved mother, he would.
He often went on rides and hunts alone to clear his head and try to forget his overbearing responsibilities for a day. It was the only way to have some alone time. One day, he had a peculiar encounter when he met you.
He found you on the ground, unmoving and seemingly unconscious. There was a giant warg approaching you, ready to eat you alive. He interfered and adverted the warg's eyes on him. He was prepared to combat the beast, but the warg managed to jump him and make him defenseless.
Maedhros was ready to get seriously injured, but then you woke up and swiftly slew the beast. It was quick, so he was left a bit shocked.
After he recovered from the shock, you checked if he was okay and explained you were hunting the beast. You were pretending to be injured and helpless. So the beast would have come for you.
He apologized for disturbing your hunt and thanked you for saving his life. Even though; he was trying to help you. You laughed, telling him it was okay. Mistakes happen, and you thanked him for trying to save you.
Maedhros found you fascinating. You were a human woman who just took down a beast with skills and impressive blade work. Men of your kin would have quivered before such a beast, but you remained calm and executed your plan well. Even though; he had interfered and disrupted your hunt.
He asked you to join him on his hunt, and you happily accepted. He helped you to deliver the warg to the village who put a bounty for it, then you two went on a hunt together. Nothing got hunted because you two ended; riding around and conversing about stuff.
What confused him about you. Was that you wore an attire and had weapons only a sindar scout would possess. He asked about it, and your explanation surprised him a lot.
The sindar elves took you in when you were abandoned as a child and got lost in their realm. They raised you, and you joined their scouts when you were old enough. They taught you everything and how to hold a blade. You belonged to the scout group that dealt with dangers outside their borders.
It would surprise Maedhros a lot because the Noldor and Sindar weren't in the best relationship, and their king was impossible to interact with, but he would find some respect that they were willing to raise a human child.
Your encounter didn't leave there. You two started meeting and seeing each other much more when Maedhros was free to go on a hunt again. It was supposed to stay as one time encounter, but Maedhros couldn't stop thinking about you and wished to spend more time with you. He felt free and enjoyed being around you.
He liked how calm and casual you were, throwing jokes and discussing techniques, how to take down even the violent creatures. You even had a chaotic side when you two got more comfortable.
You two shared stories, and you had a lot to tell about your elven family. You even had a few pleasant encounters with the king of Doriath, who was more than pleased to have a human living in his realm.
Maedhros restrained talking about his family because he was concerned about what you would think if you knew his true identity. It pained him to keep it from you, but surprisingly, you knew who he was from the beginning.
Your elven comrades had described the feanorians before, so it wasn't too hard to connect the dots.
He felt guilty, but you explained that you had accepted him long ago. You think the rumors were exaggerations because he was kind and unlike everything your family and friends had said about him and his family.
He felt grateful and caught feelings for you. It was frightening because he was an elf, and you were a human. You die eventually from old age, but he decided to go with it because it was better to let you know than hide them forever. You accepted his feelings but talked about your mortality to see if he was sure about courting you. Maedhros was certain about it and ready to be with you until it was time for you to leave this world.
Your courtship would be full of love and unspoken passion. He knew you were an experienced fighter, but he treated you gently. He was tall, and you were short compared to him, so it was like a quick instinct for him.
He adored traveling and watching Varda's stars with you, explaining the constellations and enjoying the warmth when you sat close to each other.
Spending time with you was his escape from the cruel world. There were times when he felt insecure and unworthy of your love, but you always assured him and even loved his scars. You had scars yourself, so you didn't think less of him for being scarred.
He fell deeper in love with you every day and after months passed. He became bold and asked you to marry him. He shouldn't have, especially when his family was still in a war with Morgoth. He was breaking the rule of not marrying during the times of war, but when you said yes, it got forgotten, and he never forgot the night when you two passionately made love.
Maedhros knew he had to let some people know about his marriage, so he told Maglor and a couple of his other brothers and certain people he trusted. Maglor had suspected something was going on, and you two got along pretty well when Maedhros brought you to meet him. Others thought he was crazy for keeping such a secret. Some of them didn't take it well, and you were almost in the same boat. Your elven friends and family didn't take it badly, but they think you went insane for marrying a feanorian and will reach you to have a serious talk about it.
Things would have gone back to normal, and your marriage was kept private for safety reasons. Your elven scout friends demanded to meet with him, and surprisingly Maedhros managed to get along with them. He had to do a lot of convincing that he was not using or going to hurt you. It took time, but they finally softened up for him. They kept your marriage private because if their king heard about it, you would be banished.
Your marriage didn't have the best start, but you two managed to get back on your feet. You stayed with Maedhros in Himring, occasionally accepting missions and joining your scout friends. Maedhros didn't have a problem with that since you were still one of them and had duties to fulfill, but one day he had a bad feeling about one mission you received.
Maedhros looked at the letter you received from your fellow scouts. It was a mission to investigate a location. There was something off about it because it was somewhere secluded, and he had no idea what lurked there. He didn't have a problem with you going there, but he had a bad feeling in his gut that something terrible was going to happen.
He sighed and entered your shared chamber where you were preparing for the mission.
"(Name), can we talk?" Maedhros asked, gaining your attention. "Sure, is something the matter?" You asked while you sheathed your daggers.
"I feel something wrong about this mission. Maybe you shouldn't go," Maedhros stated. You sighed, shaking your head. He had been about it all morning, and it was getting annoying. "Mae, we talked about this. It will be fine. It's just an order to see what's going on, nothing else," You said. "I'm not even going to fight, and I have others with me. I will be fine," You added, pulling up your boots. "I know, But I just have a bad feeling about this. Maybe you should consider staying this one out," He said.
"Maedhros, It's an order from the king. I can't sit this one out even if I wanted to," You said, wrapping your cloak around you.
"It will be fine. I have done this before, and you never had problems with it, so why are you worrying now?" You questioned, looking at him in the eye. "I just feel like something bad will happen in this mission, and I don't want to see you get hurt," He explained. "And what makes you so sure that I will get hurt? Are you now doubting my abilities to defend myself?" You asked. "No! It's just-" He started. "It's what? Are you worrying I will die easily because I'm a human?" You asked. "That's not it, and you know that," He said with a strict tone. He then took a breath and looked at you.
"(Name), I just want to look out for your safety. I know it was an order from king Thingol, but as your husband, you should at least consider my advice and my concern about the mission," He said. "We don't know anything about the place. It might be too risky," He said. "Maedhros. I already took a risk when I married you, and you were certain you knew what you were getting yourself into when you asked me to marry you," You explained with a sigh. "I face risky situations all the time, so this is not anything different," You added, taking the letter from his hand.
You then walked around him toward the door.
"(Name), please. I don't want to lose you any more quickly. This is already risky because of your mortality," Maedhros grabbed your arm before you could leave. "Oh, is now my mortality the problem?" You asked, looking back at him. "No, but as a human. You're more vulnerable to deadly conditions," He said. "Oh, so you're now calling me weak nice to hear that?" You said, pulling your arm away.
"No. What I'm trying to tell you is that you shouldn't risk your life and us for the orders of that pompous elven king, who does nothing but hide in his caves," Maedhros said. "I already risked a lot and my family for the sake of being with you. I might as well tell that pompous king and get banished to be forever stuck with you, leaving my family and everything I ever knew behind," You said.
"If you don't like it. Maybe we shouldn't have gotten together in the first place because apparently, this marriage doesn't seem to work," You said, then walked to the door. Maedhros froze when you said that. "I'm going, and that's final!" You said and slammed the door as you left, leaving him alone in your shared chambers.
Maedhros stood in silence for a moment before groaning in frustration. He sat down on the edge of your shared bed and thought about the argument. He loved you, and maybe he was overreacting, but sometimes you were so damn stubborn.
His mind returned to the moment when you said your marriage wasn't working out. He didn't show it, but it broke his heart to hear such a thing from you. Tears almost fell from his eyes when he thought more about it. He shook his head and left his chambers. He needs to do some work and try to get the whole argument out of his mind while you are gone.
You were crouching down on a rock, staring blankly into the distance. The sky was grey, and there was no wind blowing. It perfectly reflected your current mood.
You felt guilty. The argument didn't leave your mind. Even when you already left Himring. You shed some tears because you felt stupid for saying such a nasty thing about your marriage. You loved your husband dearly and cared about his feelings. You were scared of what he might think when you return to Himring.
"(Name), you have been brooding like an owl for a while. Tell me, what has gotten you in such a bad mood?" Aldon, your fellow scout and like a brother figure, sat down beside you. "It's nothing serious. I will be over it soon," You said, not willing to give a full answer. "Is this about your little disagreement with your feanorian husband?" He asked.
"I just don't get it. Mae never had a problem with me going on missions before. Why is he doubting me now?" You asked in frustration. "Maybe he wasn't doubting you, but this mission. I agree there's something off about this place, so we should stay on guard," Rineth, your friend, explained as you observed the place. There were rocks and boulders, and the place lacked green life. Mist and silenced haunted the ait. It felt hollow and like something dangerous was lurking around.
You sighed, shaking your head. "Maybe I was the one who overreacted?" You said, feeling ashamed. "Hey. What I know about relationships? Is that having some arguments is normal. Even in marriage," Aldon said. "That might be true, but knowing you. It's hard to believe because you can't keep a third relationship going," Rineth said, which almost made you smile.
"Okay, that was just rude. I have a taste, okay?" He said. "Yeah, a taste of a salted pickle," Rineth said. You snorted. "Come on! Why are you scolding me about relationships?! This little girl decided to marry a feanorian, and it's the eldest son of the elf who started the whole silmaril mess," Aldon said, pointing at you. "And yet, she still got married before you, so take notes on how to keep a long-lasting relationship," Rineth said, then walked forward. "Now come one, you two. There's a cave we need to check," She said. You and Aldon both jumped off the rock and followed your friend.
"(Name), let's be real. Do I really have the worst taste than you?" Aldon asked while you both walked. "Well, at least mine doesn't taste like a salted pickle," You said. "It's more like; soft and sweet like a tasty apple with a hint of spiciness," You smiled. "Ew, alright (Name), you didn't need to tell me what you do with your husband in the sheets, " He said and gagged like a child while you giggled.
You all approached a suspicious-looking cave, which looked dark and empty, but weird noises were coming from the inside. They sounded like growls of an injured warg. "Stay here. I go check," Rineth said, holding a blade.
You patiently waited and watched with Aldon as Rineth approached the cave. You felt shivers because you felt like something was watching you. "Something's not right," You said. Aldon stood quiet until something caught his eye.
"Watch out!" He yelled, pulling you away from a tail that almost crushed you. You and the other scouts took your blades out and prepared for combat.
A giant wingless drake stood before you. It roared with a hollow scream at you. "It's an ambush!" Aldon yelled out for Rineth, then almost got chomped down by the drake.
You tried to remain calm, but the beast then turned its gaze on you. Spikes appeared out of its tail, then the beast whipped its tail and threw them at you.
"Oh fuck," You said, then got impaled.
Maglor opened the door and saw Maedhros writing down the documents. There was a frown on his brother's face, and he was writing rather aggressively. Maglor walked inside the room and sat in front of the red-headed elf.
"What seems to be the matter? I saw (Name) earlier walking away quite angrily, and she ignored me when we passed each other," Maglor explained. "We just had a minor disagreement, nothing else," Maedhros said, continuing writing down on the paper. "You say it's nothing, but that minor disagreement still lingers in your mind, doesn't it?" Maglor asked. Maedhros stopped writing and thought about it.
"Let's have a walk outside and discuss it. I can't have my brother and sister-in-law have a trifle over a disagreement," Maglor said, standing up. Maedhros sighed and obliged, following his brother outside. He didn't have energy, so he went along.
The two walked and talked, then arrived at a balcony where they could see the rest of Himring. The wind blew against Maedhros's face, and he enjoyed the chilliness it brought.
"Standing outside against the wind sometimes helps release tension and calm nerves," Maglor said, standing beside him. Maedhros hummed and nodded. "And don't worry about the argument with (Name). Who knows what might happen during that mission, so let's hope for the best?" Maglor said. "And I'm sure she didn't mean the things she said about your marriage. She cares about you too much to even think about hurting you," He added. "I hope so," Maedhros said, almost muttering to himself.
His ears caught the sound of whining horses, and he looked down to see. He didn't expect much, but he frowned when sees your two friends riding fast toward the halls of healing. Your friend, Rineth, was leading your horse which got him worried. Where were you?
His blood ran cold when he saw you unconscious in your friend Aldon's arms. You were bleeding from your mouth, and three giant spikes had impaled through your abdomen.
His breath got stuck in his throat, and he backed away from the balcony. "Maedhros," Maglor said worriedly. Maedhros shook his head, his mind picturing your dead body. He saw blood, your blood.
He couldn't breathe, but he turned around and started running. He ignored his brother's call and quickly made his way toward the halls of healing, toward you. This can't be happening, he kept repeating under his breath.
In the halls of healing, he frantically looked for you. He found Rineth and Aldon panting heavily and looking at the healers who tended to your lethal injury. "What happened?" He asked, almost demanding. "We got ambushed. It was supposed to be a scouting mission, but then a wingless dragon attacked us," Rineth explained. " A dragon?" He said in bewilderment, then snapped his eyes toward you when you moaned in pain.
You were half awake, hissing and breathing heavily. Maedhros came to your side, holding your hand. "(Name)," He said. "Mae..." You coughed. "I'm sorry," You started to cry. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry!" You repeated in a voice that broke his heart. "Shhh, it's okay. Save your strength," He said in a gentle tone. His eyes were burning, ready to shed tears.
"My lord, please stand back, so we can tend to her," The main healer said, pulling him away. He watched in pain and desperate hope as the healers tried to save him. He silently prayed in Eru's name that you wouldn't die. He would not be able to handle it if he lost you.
Miraculously, you managed to stay alive much longer despite the blood loss and the spikes in your stomach. Removing the spikes was difficult for the healers, but they managed to remove all three of them and patch you up. However, your state was so serious that you needed constant attention.
Maedhros stayed to look after you. Maglor was willing to take his duties for the time, which made Maedhros very grateful. Maedhros gave you the medicines and fed you the little food you were allowed to eat. There was a chance you would die in your sleep, so he had to make sure you were breathing. He didn't get sleep for many days, but for you, he will remain sleepless.
Days passed, and your condition became somewhat stable. You fell into a coma, and Maedhros couldn't do anything but watch. He visited you every day, hoping someday you would open your eyes.
A whole month had passed, but one night. You finally opened your eyes.
Maedhros was writing down documents while sitting beside your bed. The candle flickered on the desk, giving faint light to the room.
You opened your eyes and frowned. You silently groaned in annoyance as the scripting sound annoyed your ears. You inhaled, then looked at your husband, who sat beside you, writing on his damned documents.
"Mae," You said, almost in a whisper. He snapped his eyes toward you, then dropped his quill and papers on the floor when he saw you awake. "(Name)," He said, holding your hand. "How are you feeling?" He asked, almost with a tearful expression. You frowned at his expression, you wanted to hug it away, but you couldn't move, and you felt three holes in your body. The day of the mission came back to you like a zap. You groaned. "Like shit?" You said, then frowned.
"Mae, about before. I'm sorry. You were right, and I should have listened to you," You explained with the quilt. "It doesn't matter anymore. I'm just happy you're finally awake and back to me," He said. "I thought I was going to lose you," He said, caressing your cheek. You would have blushed by the loving act, but the quilt still struck your heart.
"Yes, it does. I said pretty shitty things about our marriage and all. I thought I was going to die and never have a chance to apologize," You said, tearing up. "I'm sorry. I should have never said such things," You said, tears running down your eyes. He shushed, drying your tears. "It's fine. It has been a month already since you fell into a deep sleep. Nothing broke my heart more than seeing you injured and sleeping lifelessly. If you never woke up, I would have begged Eru to bring you back to me," He said.
You chuckled dryly. "I'm a pretty shitty wife," You said. "Don't say that," Maedhros shook his head. "If anything, I'm a pretty shitty husband," He said. " I should have followed and saved you," He added. You chuckled because it reminded you of the first time you met. "You already did. You looked after me, didn't you?" You asked. "And I would do it all over again," He said and then leaned over to kiss your forehead before bringing his lips to meet yours.
The kiss was short but sweet. Your heart fluttered with flusters, and you cursed your body for lacking the energy to hold and deepen the kiss.
"Well, the good thing is that I will not be accepting any missions in this state," You stated. "Especially the king's orders, damn him," You added. Maedhros chuckled. "I'm glad," He said. "Don't take me wrong, but you're not leaving in that state," He added, which made you chuckle. "And Aldon said I got a bad taste in partners," You said. "Did he now?" He asked with a smile.
"Yeah, and that I was insane, but truth to be said," You pulled him closer. "I will never regret marrying you," You said, then pulled him into another kiss. The night continued, spending the lost time with your husband and being relieved you finally returned to life. Let's just say you started listening to him whenever he had a bad feeling in his gut.

Summary, Characters & More Info under the cut
SUMMARY: Haunted by never-ending tragedies, reporter Seo Joon decides to end his life in an almost derelict bath house. It's there he runs into a pair of odd strangers who force him to pick a side when they get into a violent fight, Seo Joon accidentally ending up killing one to save the other. A connection immediately forms between Seo Joon and the rescued stranger, Yul, who convinces the former to put off his initial plans.
It's only the next morning that Seo Joon learns two things: Yul is a photographer working for the police, and the man they killed was completely certain Yul was a serial killer trying to claim him as the next victim.
CHARACTERS:
Kang Seo Joon: Lonely and alone, Seo Joon struggles to make a life for himself after succumbing into a deep depression. Drawing no satisfaction from his repetitive job, drowning in grief, and haunted by the perception that he is unlovable, he is close to surrendering to his dark thoughts when he meets Yul.
Choi Yul: A seasoned photographer with a murky past, Yul is a deeply caring man trying (and failing) to alienate himself from people in order to protect them. Afraid of losing his loved ones, he immortalizes them in photographs, to keep them alive and by his side forever.
Kim Jiwon: An ambitious police officer who refuses to take things at face value, Jiwon carries her own deep grief after losing a family member in an accident for which she blames herself. Now haunted by a strange phobia and overlooked by her peers, she is forced to choose between staying loyal to an old friend or helping a charming newcomer.
Lee Kibum: A kooky private investigator who shares a past with Yul, Kibum sticks out like a sore thumb and loves it. Never still and always cheerful, he hides a dangerous and obsessive persona behind silly pretenses and an overwhelming friendliness.
Yong Sanghyuk: A troubled, vengeful man still feeling his brother's loss even after decades. Driven only by grief and rage, he carelessly throws away his life in his pursuit for revenge, managing to come only seconds away from achieving his goal.
MORE INFO:
The Inspiration & Idea: Originally titled Focus, this story served as my final major project for my Bachelor's. Having fought to write this idea (which was called too ambitious and hard to write at the time), it was all I could think about for months, and championing it proved to be the best decision I could possibly make. Inspired - again - mainly by Taemin's work, the story kept evolving throughout the years, and I with it. I wanted to explore the idea of grief and how different people experience and live with it, as well as discussing odd and intricate bonds between people who, despite being alienated from the world, understand each other perfectly.
The Feedback: This is my most successful story to date, having won Blue Cat's Fellini Award in 2020 and Best Dialogue & Best Characters at the 2021 Plot Point Awards, as well as placing as a quarterfinalist in Final Draft's 2020 Big Break Contest and semifinalist in Screencraft's 2020 Drama Competition. I was also a semifinalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship in 2020, which is still quite surreal.
The Extended Universe: I wrote two companion pieces to this:
1. Snapshots, a mock-up of Yul's photo album from the film. The idea would be to scan codes on the back of the photos, which would take you to a diary entry, a video, or a letter exploring that certain period in Yul's life. It goes from his childhood all the way to the night he meets Seo Joon.
2. To My Star, a transmedia experience in the form of a love letter Seo Joon writes to Yul. This letter is narrated, recorded, and played over a video containing photographs and articles from the film, as well as accompanied by physical elements such as Yul's origami rose and some of his polaroids. This piece was shown during the Underdog Scriptwriting Festival in 2019.
Both these pieces correlate to earlier drafts of the story, so I'm not making them public as they're riddled with inconsistencies.
The universe of Forget-Me-Not also expands into both Metanoia and Flat 27, the action taking place in the same small town (Plain River)

Sevina Snape and Bruno
Sevina Snape was a peculiar woman, known for her enigmatic presence and her deep connection to the mystical arts. She resided in a secluded cottage at the edge of a dense forest, where she dedicated her days to studying ancient spells and crafting potions. Sevina was a solitary soul, content in her solitude, until one day, her peaceful existence was disrupted by the arrival of a young man named Bruno.
Bruno was a wanderer who had stumbled upon Sevina's cottage while seeking shelter from a violent storm. Drenched and exhausted, he knocked on her door, hoping for a kind soul to offer him respite. Sevina, hesitant at first, opened the door and peered at the stranger with curiosity.
As Bruno entered, Sevina noticed the weariness in his eyes and the scars etched upon his weathered face. There was something haunting about him, something that stirred a long-buried memory in her heart. Yet, she kept her emotions concealed, for she had learned long ago to guard herself against attachments and the pain they brought.
Sevina provided Bruno with a warm meal and a comfortable bed for the night. Over the following days, he helped her tend to her garden, gathering herbs and plants for her potions. As they worked side by side, a bond began to form between them, one that defied Sevina's efforts to keep her distance.
One evening, as they sat in front of a crackling fireplace, Bruno's eyes filled with a hint of sadness. Sevina, sensing his unease, gently inquired, "What troubles you, Bruno?"
He hesitated for a moment before uttering the words, "We don't talk about Bruno."
The statement struck Sevina like a bolt of lightning, unraveling the secret she had suppressed for years. Bruno was her long-lost brother, the sibling she had once cherished and believed to be lost forever. Memories flooded back, of laughter and mischief, of shared dreams and aspirations.
"Why, Bruno?" she whispered, her voice trembling with a mix of pain and disbelief. "Why did you disappear from my life?"
Bruno's eyes welled up with tears, his voice choked with regret. "I was young and foolish, Sevina. I got involved in dangerous endeavors, and I had to make a choice to protect you and our family. I couldn't bear to put you in harm's way."
Sevina's heart swelled with a torrent of emotions, a mixture of anger, grief, and the flickering embers of love. She had spent years suppressing the memories of her brother, trying to shield herself from the pain of his absence. Yet, in that moment, she realized that the pain of separation was far greater than the pain of reconnection.
As the days turned into weeks, Sevina and Bruno shared their stories, piecing together the fragments of their lives that had been torn apart. They laughed, they cried, and they healed together, rediscovering the deep bond that had once defined their relationship.
Sevina taught Bruno the ancient arts she had mastered, guiding him through the intricacies of spellcasting and potion-making. In turn, Bruno shared his knowledge of the world he had traversed, the people he had met, and the experiences that had shaped him.
As time passed, Sevina and Bruno became inseparable, creating a new chapter in their lives, one filled with forgiveness and second chances. Their reunion reminded Sevina of the importance of family, the enduring connections that could withstand the test of time and distance.
Together, they vowed to protect and cherish their newfound bond, their shared experiences etching a new story into the tapestry of their lives. From that day forward, Sevina and Bruno would no longer avoid the mention of Bruno's name, for it represented a journey of redemption, a testament to the power of love and the resilience of the human spirit.

Do you know how it feels for the people who claim to care about you to look you in the eyes and tell you that the bare minimum is all that they are willing to do for you, when you would give everything you are and everything you care about to protect and provide for them if they were in need or suffering the way you currently are?
It makes me wonder if this is what she raised me for, to readily derive pleasure from my service to others and be accused of mental illness as a result? Was i meant to be the sacrifical lamb? The offfering sucked dry?
If more people were altruistic, the world as a result would be kinder and safer, but to be selfish is normalized and gatekeeping is rewarded when we could help eachother grow so much further if we were open, seeing the value of life and moments instead of dollar signs. Why do people fear authenticity and vulnerability so much?
I don't understand greed or the peculiar prioritization accumulated materials valued more than human people in all their diverse brilliance, I'm forever wondering why the creations seemed more worshipped than the creators. It is so strange that the art is only valuable when the artist is dead.
Let me be clearer. I understand on a psychological level that people's attachments interfere with their ability to recognize and appreciate life. I understand that the dopamine created by the illusion of piles of important things causes a chemical dependence and an addiction to comfortable and unhealthy ways of being.
I can comprehend on some levels that greed is a result of the egos attempt to overcompensate for the loss of control it believes it once had instead of surrendering to the power of the universe, and it is just an infection of a long forgotten wound that keeps lashing out to perpetuate its own loneliness and isolation.
But I can't empathize. It goes against every Fibre of my being to throw away companionship and connection with others, though I remind myself to take nothing personally, and that my family of hoarders is not continuously choosing stale, musty illusions of memories over the child I still am inside, that I am left to nurture and love myself. I can't understand being so trapped in the past that you are unwilling to immerse yourself in the present opportunities. That's how hauntings are born.

Rico,
As I sit here and reflect upon the journeys we shared, the memories we created, and the bonds we formed, my heart fills with a bittersweet longing for your presence in my life once again. Although time and circumstances have pulled us apart, I want you to know that you are never forgotten. This open letter serves as a testament to the cherished place you still hold in my heart.
Through the passage of time, our lives took divergent turns, and the once inseparable threads that wove our lives together began to fray. As responsibilities multiplied, priorities shifted, and new relationships formed, we gradually grew apart. The busyness of life consumed our days, leaving little room for the nurturing of the invaluable friendships we once cherished.
There were times when I desperately wanted to reach out, to bridge the gap that had grown between us. But fear and uncertainty held me back, and I convinced myself that perhaps you had moved on, that you had found new circles of friends who had replaced me. I allowed doubt to cloud my judgment, and in doing so, I failed both you and myself.
Yet, despite the silence that has lingered, please know that I have carried our memories with me every step of the way. I reminisce about the laughter we shared, the tears we shed, and the countless moments of joy and camaraderie that defined our friendship. Those memories are etched in the deepest recesses of my being, reminding me of the extraordinary individuals you were and the profound impact you had on my life.
If time could rewind, and if circumstances were different, I would seize the opportunity to reconnect. I would tell you how much you meant to me, how your presence filled my days with light, and how your absence left an irreplaceable void. I would listen intently to your stories, your triumphs, and your sorrows, offering you the unwavering support and understanding that true friendship embodies.
But since we cannot turn back the hands of time, I hope that this open letter reaches you in some way. If perchance you stumble upon these words, know that my heart aches for the connection we once shared. And if life's unpredictable journey ever brings us back together, I promise to be present, to nurture our friendship, and to treasure every moment we have.
As I conclude this letter, I want to express my gratitude for the memories we created and the impact you had on my life. You shaped me into the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for the time we spent together. Wherever life takes you, may it be filled with happiness, fulfillment, and the warmth of cherished friendships.
With love and longing,
Michael
*****
Dear Michael,
As I sit here and read your heartfelt open letter, emotions flood my heart, and tears fill my eyes. It's been far too long since our paths diverged, and I want you to know that your words have struck a chord deep within me. I, too, have carried the weight of our lost friendship, and your letter has reminded me of the profound connection we once shared.
Life has a peculiar way of taking us on unexpected journeys. It throws us into whirlwinds of change, demanding our attention and tugging at the threads of our relationships. Like you, I often found myself longing for the days when we were inseparable, when our laughter filled the air, and our dreams intertwined so effortlessly.
Your fears and doubts mirrored my own. I questioned whether I had been replaced, whether the memories we cherished had faded into oblivion. But now, reading your words, I realize the immense loss we both endured by allowing silence and uncertainty to hold us captive.
If only I had mustered the courage to reach out, to bridge the growing divide between us. I too wondered if you had moved on, if you had found new friendships that eclipsed the one we shared. Regret haunts me as I reflect on the missed opportunities, the conversations left unspoken, and the moments of connection we forfeited.
But here, in this letter, you have given us a chance to reconnect, even if only through written words. The power of your honesty and vulnerability has reignited a flame of hope within me. It reminds me of the beautiful person you are and the depth of the bond we once cherished.
Know that your memories are etched in my heart as well. I recall the adventures we embarked upon, the secrets we shared, and the countless times we supported and uplifted one another. Those moments, like precious gems, are forever embedded in the tapestry of my life.
While time cannot be undone, we can seize the present and strive to rebuild what was lost. Let this open letter serve as a catalyst, propelling us toward a brighter future. Let us embrace the opportunity to rediscover each other, to listen intently to the chapters of our lives that have yet to be shared.
Life has taught me that true friendships are resilient, capable of weathering storms and transcending the bounds of time and distance. Let us defy the odds and create anew. Let us learn from the past and commit to nurturing the friendship we once held dear.
In writing this response, I wish to convey my gratitude for your words and for reminding me of the priceless connection we shared. You were an integral part of my journey, and the void left by your absence has been deeply felt. As we embark on this journey of reconnection, let us embrace the growth we have experienced individually and collectively.
With anticipation and renewed hope, I eagerly await the day our paths may cross again. Until then, may life's twists and turns bring you abundant joy, fulfillment, and the warmth of cherished friendships.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Rico

If there’s a god in heaven
Why am I in hell
It’s not what I expected
But I wish him well
Why’s it got to be so overrated
Complicated, overblown?
Why’s it got to be
If I ran into you in public
I hope you’d pretend you never knew me
I plan to do the same for the record
I don’t want you to see
I miss you in the most peculiar way
Everytime something crosses my mind I turn to you to say
But you’re not there so I say it anyway
Why’s it got to be so unsatisfactory, why am I the problem all the time
Why am I your darker mirror image
Why’d you haunt my mind with such a statement?
I’m uneasy feeling queasy ‘cuz I miss you all the same
It’s just your name, it’s a game, my life’s profane, I’m insane
I want to get out of my head
I want to get out of my head
I want to get out of my head
I want get
Get
Out
Of my head
BRITTNEY LYNN
Where to begin
What a woman, what a friend
My lighter mirror will live life forever without me and I wish her well all the same and again.
I have the capacity to have platonic friends
But Brittney I don’t have the capacity to be your shoulder to cry on
I love you too much to give a fuck.
So it’s better this way, wishing you better luck.
