my old prehistory professor promised me earlier that he would soon take me on a trip to the Beskid Mountains, where he wants to fix one of sins from his youth.... but then he went silent. so i reminded him about it, and he just sent me an email that he is planning to leave on tuesday morning and that i have to decide quicklu if i want to go bc it's "high time we bough tickets and booked a place in the mountain shelter" xD we will climb the highest peak there to verify a potential archaeological site :3

I know that most people’s opinions on the people of Silver’s future right now is that some of them do have their own innate powers like Silver (I do still firmly believe he’s just far better at it than everybody else) but I sometimes wonder just what specific type of psychic ability could be the most common. Perhaps in a future where the use of tech is a lot more widespread, people might look favorably upon technopaths or something? But then again that might also make some people paranoid that an evil and powerful technopath could just cause everything to go to shit? It sure must be a mixed bag to be any type of psychic in any timeline really

I can imagine: the way I envision the people of Silver's future in regards to their powers is the same way characters have speed in the past. Many of them have some abilities to run quite fast, and some are faster than others, however Sonic is the undisputed champion in the combination of speediness, reaction time, and flexibility. Similarly, Silver is the best at using his own powers in a wide collection of aspects they possess, such as how much he is able to lift at once, his reflexes, etcetera.

Though, as for what kind of powers would be most common... I'm trying to look into the distinction between psychokinesis and telekinesis, however I find it difficult to say whether psychokinesis should include all forms of matter whereas telekinesis is only solid objects. In '06, Silver himself is clear about how he cannot move lasers with his powers and cannot pick up invisible enemies. However, based on my research, I believe that e.g. Blaze's pyrokinesis is actually a form of psychokinesis all the same. Thus, I figure that psychokinesis as a catch-all term would be most applicable for a power that relatively many people in the future possess, where there are different 'branches' depending on the type of matter they can actually move with their minds (e.g. fire, ice, wind, earth, solid objects, etc.). The idea of being a technopath in such a developed technological future is certainly interesting, though! It might indeed go two ways: there's probably many jobs wherein technopathy is of high interest and demand, but in the same vein, there's always that angle of fear that you will misuse your powers and cause mayhem. However, I figure that fear will apply to all people who possess any psychic ability. Silver himself might be a little bit feared with how casually he pulls off the grandest of feats! Not that he lets that get to him: he just does whatever he deems necessary without caring about other people's opinions, haha.

I saw a post like, awhile ago now that was mad about "like shaming" because people obviously would like Tumblr to function like Tumblr and not like Instagram or Twitter (no I will Not call it That) and it's like breh. If you see "reblog stuff because that's how this site works" and you get offended enough to call it "like shaming" then go back to a site where likes actually spread shit around instead of whining people would like you to use Tumblr as intended. Fucking "like shaming" no, for the last like seven years on this site the existing user base has repeatedly had to explain how Tumblr works and instead of just using the damn site that way you whine about like shaming??? If you want to use a like based social site then get off tumblr- like obviously you don't even like it here if you cannot use the site as intended without it being "shaming" to you??

Sooooo. The everlasting construction site right in front of our house that should be done January 2021 and still isn't done has an open house thing today. I'm totally be the pain in the ass resident going there asking the architecture company "oh isn't it lovely weather for January 2021?"

They deserve to have a face to the person who was a pain in the ass about "make the working people turn off their radio because your fucking constricting site is RIGHT in the middle of a living quarter and it's a pandemic and people are TRYING to work from home but don't only get bothered by construction noise (which is okay because construction site) but also get blasted away by music which is unnecessary so do your fucking job and make them shut up".

And I deserve to tell them it's a lovely January 2021 today.
