I was thinking about how people always say that "execution is everything" with telling a story.
And it's true
If you come at your story sly and malicious, hacking at with a butcher's knife until it's a bloody mess that you then lay proudly at the feet of your audience as the spoils of a kill, it isn't likely to be any good
The bits are mixed around, the bones shattered and fragmented. There is certainly blood everywhere, staining your clothes and dripping from your hands as you try and cajole people into stopping by and taking a look
It doesn't quite work
But, if you look at your story, and understand the grace and fluidity of its life, then you may execute it elegantly
Because it is still a death. It is still a sacrifice, to have your story out of your hands and no longer living and growing and changing according to your whims
Because, when the tree is felled and the pulp is bleached and the ink has dried and the binding set, you can't control it anymore. The story is now in the hands of your audience, and it's up to them what happens to it
A properly executed story is laid to rest in the peace of the wild, left to allow the ecosystem to explore and reclaim it as their own with moss and lichen and mushrooms and carrion eaters and leaf-litter dwellers
That is the only way a story is properly executed; dead by your hands, yes, but constantly feeding the life of others and fueling their own stories

does anyone just kinda think about that time that eleven was full on dying and asked the tardis interface to "give him someone he liked" and the old girl literally showed rose tyler with zero hesitation because i do every single day and i love them so much-

"My heart dances in my cage of ribs to the sound of your voice like a tap dancer, dancing the night away.. it beats softly and races too, it crescendos as it beats, it thunders, god help me!! I am in love.."

//related to xxx hcs - (mainly fallen!adam verse)
▪️ ends up making a deal/contract with either mammon or vox or both where he plays gigs/concerts that serve as both entertainment in the music enjoying sense, but also the sound waves he makes is very much a mimic of a 'love aoe' except the vibrations of the music just get everyone off in the crowd.
▪️ his 'show stopper' back in heaven was using the music notes shared between bass and electric to 'rise and fall' in assisted flight that gets him higher in the air closer to the climax of a song. in fallen verse, he has one wing so he struggles to get any sort of flight going with just flapping. so he has to rely on the music directed at his wingless side to get that going.
▪️ ^to do this, he centers the music's influence towards the side of his back that's missing the wing by holding his axe behind his head and doing the famous 'play guitar behind your head' feat- just for the times he needs to start getting high in the air.
▪️ is an actual fucking diva who demands his own trailer and threatens to not play shows if things aren't to his exact liking. can absolutely be manhandled onto stage during these episodes, but he'll 'stick it to the man' by making whatever song he plays a direct attack on his handlers/ definitely someone is getting their dick called out as being small and unimpressive.
▪️ first debut was this song, and he used the guitar behind the head method at the drop before the climax moment. It's about Lilith, Eve and supposedly Lute since he originally believes she left him. It's also got some jabs at Vox/Mammon (wanna throw up) for being shitty bosses like Sera.

Miniscule thought. Then without pause for consideration she lets out, “Hm, is the great phantom thief Dark Mousy actually the timid type?” <-said probably as she watches him run off
