everybody talking about technicolour again (makes me smile) but also so sad. we can only imitate it, and I hate to say that the film that emulated it the best is "the love witch"

#it makes me so angry actually because the 60s pastiche is so incredible but anna billar you are a piece of shit terf.#im going to continue to do more research into how to emulate the look of technicolour because #im currently putting smth together and ive always wanted to make a film that looks as closely to #a 60s fantasy film as possible (even tho it won't be fantasy ;p). i know the love witch isnt the only film to have done this well #i know it's more than just a filter and colour grading i think it involves the set and the costumes being done the same way #it was when technicolour was the most prominent form of film processing....#a matte painting would save my life and my films....

#eliot posts #toh #toh spoilers #the owl house #amity blight #also it appears to have gotten lighter in addition to the roots. not even witches are safe from the peril of semi permanent hair dye.#though tbh i've kinda grown to enjoy seeing my dye fade and the colours shift. adds some variety to my appearance.#and getting to re-dye is actually kinda fun #re-bleaching the roots is Terrible though #sometimes i just put new dye over brown roots and it doesn't match the rest of the hair but it's Close Enough to not be that noticeable #season 2 episode 2 in which amity decides to dye her own hair and stains camila's sink ourple #and the rest of the episode is her trying to clean it #im assuming her not touching up her dye is like she misses her siblings and doesn't wanna do that without them there. for Emotional Reasons #just like not wanting her hair to be all green so putting that off #but i can still poke fun #she is like a little sister to me. i love her but sometimes i gotta dunk on her.

#ace attorney tag #maybe i should tag this narumitsu or something. but i dont really care.#gearing up to rereading/illustrating bits of my fic i suppose...i think nick really is too dense to realise he's in love with edgeworth #without some scheming fop trying to intrude. i love villains like kristoph..villains can be fun..witnessing their pathetic folly..#or more like edgeworth would never have mentioned his feelings ever in his life if he wasn't sure phoenix reciprocates.#i want to see it this way because Falling in love during childhood with the person you're going to end up with. is not relatable #there have to be Situations that make you Realise.#as with orufrey i adore the idea of people not working out their romance with that person until their 30s+#but... i mean. even with orufrey i often think how alaira could be qifrey's ex. and oru having been pursued by noble fops through his work #there is that delicate sliver of time before orufrey start living together that such believable situations could have happened.#Then the relief of politely and amicably extricating themselves from those untenable situations #the idea of falling in love age 7 and saving your first kiss for age 35 or something is all very well but more relatable is #people realising how they really feel whilst trying something that ends up feeling wrong.#The comfort and joy of living with your dearest one as if it's platonic - much preferable to trying anything more with anyone else.#But i doubt i will ever portray that or mention it further. it is indeed very delicate to me.#and i really am an OTP FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kind of person who can barely bear to consider this anyway...NOT a polyshipper i'm afraid !#so i wouldn't mind either if they do have their first kiss in their lives age 35 with each other either.
