If I see one more of those cheesy aesthetic witch infographics saying Lugh is a celtic deity and only a celtic deity I'm going to lose my mind, why do you all refuse to say Irish why is specifying so hard

i looooove divination with lugh because i’ll ask something like “what can i do to get myself back on track with things?” and he’ll basically call me a little bitch then say that i need to figure it out for myself with just a dash of advice

For Lammas/Lughnasadh I made gingerbread men and cookies! According to the book I have, gingerbread came from Lammas tradition of the Corn King. They're not exquisite and not super tasty. But I'm proud that I tried to make something to celebrate the sabbath. And in honor of the Celtic God Lugh, who is a craftsman himself. 🧡 Lammas Blessings to all! 🧡🌞🍞 this is the first harvest of the year, take a moment to think of what you have grown thus far this year and now harvest and be thankful for.
🧡 I personally am thankful that I have grown more self love for myself. It's a daily battle, but I have made a conscious effort to realize and 'harvest' the confidence in myself in all things.🧡

When it's storming out during Lúnasa:

By the way! The Candlelit Tales podcast has some seriously amazing episodes that are perfect for Lúnasa and your "I wanna learn more Irish mythology but why the fuck are the resources so boring" problem. Awesome podcast, highly reccomend. They have an episode on Lugh, but I would start on earlier episodes than that one to get more context for the full Lúnasa story. They also have an episode on Lugh's foster mother, Tailtú. I'm not linking them because the formatting looked uggo <3
For my folk Catholics out there, I promise you can find a lot of parallels between these tales and our usual cast of characters :)
Happy listening, and beannachtaí na Féile Lúnasa oraibh! God bless you and your harvest, whatever that looks like in your life! 🌾☀️🎪

Does anyone have any experiences with chthonic deities?
For years I’ve had dreams of a pretty chthonic nature (O:) featuring certain recurring images and characters, it’s also a recurring theme during waking hours. It’s played a massive part in my life but I always maintained my interest in pagan gods/polytheism was totally academic since I wasn’t raised religious and didn’t want to seem crazy. I’m definitely at a point where I’m questioning that, for a while it had faded but after travelling to Greece and visiting the caves at Eleusis it’s come back. The idea of deities associated with death scares me though, I don’t want to tempt misfortune or something.

Been wanting to make more work based on Irish paganism and its stories (sort of a blending of jobs hahaha), so I started with an obvious option for me.
Lugh, master of many skills! The "many skills" bit comes in handy for work and an endless sea of special interests, for sure.
