evan's character is really interesting to me, but a lot of the posts/ interactions on this rp blog might be a bit of projecting, especially the classic literature part. however, evan, to me, does seem like he'd like dark academia, unreliable narrators, and the secret history or the picture of dorian gray or something like that, basically. so that's what i based the theme of this blog off of

the quote in the header is one of my favorites from the picture of dorian gray and the book as a whole is probably the best i've read this year!! and the inspiration for the name of the blog is a quote from romeo and juliet which is unrelated but i saw "rose" in the quote and it clicked for me lol

Southern on the NYS&W Southern Division by Erie Limited Via Flickr: Over the years many unusual locomotives have found their way to NYS&W rails. The short-lived era of Susquehanna's control over the bankrupt Delaware & Hudson was one such time period when you never quite knew what would show up next. Here we see Southern (CNO&TP) GP50 7039 leading local WS-1 east across the Saddle River bridge in Rochelle Park, NJ. This was most likely a one-time event as the unit should have been assigned to the next westbound road train. The "borrowing" of road power for daytime locals was quite common at the time, but a Southern Railway locomotive in local service was anything but common. Interestingly there is a photo of this local at PC Yard in the book "New York Susquehanna & Western Volume 1: Jersey City to Passaic Jct." by Garbely Publishing. So I wasn't the only person out that rainy fall day. 7039 would later be rebuilt by NS as RP-M4C road slug 713.
