I miss Magi

It's been almost 2 years since magi reached its ending and, yes, I'm having some nostalgic feelings. I went to an anime event this weekend (AnimeBuzz, in Brazil) and bought the volumes 1,2,4,5 (yeah, they didn't have the third one ;A;) and I regret that I did not have more money to buy more.

Is the fandom still alive?? I miss having people I can talk about silly things like how much I love the Ren family and how much dumb Hakuryuu was ugh >:

My Ranking of Best Anime Girl

this is purely subjective of course. I don’t normally adore female characters because well, reasons but when I do like one, they’re the best.

1) Iki Hiyori (Noragami): I know some would prefer Bishamon over her but listen, I would punch someone for Hiyori. I would protect her with my life and so will Yato and Yukine.

2) Uchiha Sakura (Naruto): I feel overly-protective for her because of all the shit people throw at her online. Seriously what is wrong with you people? She’s fictional. Get over it. Sakura is the strongest, kindest and prettiest in the whole anime series and she will stay that way in my heart forever.

EDIT: i know some people hate that i put her so high but you really don't have to agree with me. if you hate her, just walk away and move on. if you’re planning to understand why I love her, we can have a civil discussion about it if u want.

3) Honda Tohru (Fruits Basket): Literally, one of the first female character that I adore since I was a kid (besides Kinomoto Sakura). I don’t usually like nice girl character like her but Tohru just hits you differently. Idk man, she just seems genuine and pure and most of the time I feel like adopting her into my family.

4) Tohsaka Rin (Fate/Stay Night:UBW): First of all, I don’t like tsunderes but Rin is the best tsundere girl ever. Most tsunderes are very annoying to me but Rin has that charming personality that I can’t hate. She’s just so likeable from the beginning. 

5) Violet Evergarden (Violet Evergarden): If you’ve watched the anime, you just can’t help but name her Best Girl. I didn’t like her the first few episodes but she grew on me and I was captivated by her pure heart and child-like curiosity.

6) Morgiana (Magi:The Labyrinth of Magic): Oh gosh, Morgiana is the cutest lil bub ever, especially when she’s mad. Her arc went from a quiet insecure girl to a strong confident woman. Her loyalty and love for her friends just make her even more adorable.

7) Momozono Nanami ( Kamisama Hajimemashita): If I were to be an anime character, I’d want to be her friend. She just has this pleasant comfortable aura around her and I’d feel at ease when she’s near. Nanami has a big heart and a kind soul. What more do you want? Tomoe is one lucky dude.

8) Makise Kurisu (Steins Gate): Her whole personality just screams Best Girl. Her character development was done beautifully from beginning to end. I can’t imagine Okabe to end up with anyone but her.

9) Leila Malcal (Code Geass: Akito the Exiled): The first time I saw her on-screen, I instantly liked her. I find her character design VERY pretty. She’s very kind and considerate, doesn’t like that the Elevens were discriminated against and took matters into her own hand. I personally would want to see more of Leila and Akito but their story has ended beautifully in the anime.

10) Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan): Putting aside all the Eren obsession, she really steals the show whenever she’s in a battle. Her and Levi are a force to be reckoned with. 

Honourable Mentions

Bishamon (Noragami): She’s cool and all but I like Hiyori better. I also found myself skimming her entire arc in the manga because I couldn’t get invested.

Kirishima Touka (Tokyo Ghoul): I really like her but I wish we got to see more of her being badass in the anime.

Tomori Nao (Charlotte): Didn’t like her in the beginning but she quickly grew on me and dashes straight to best girl category in the anime.

You give me no reason as to why they are your favorite but I’ll give a shot in the dark and find something for ya anyway!

When you mention these two characters I remember aggressive friendships, a design that reminds me of fantasy, and drama-queens. If any of those things are good for ya, I think you’ll love Senyuu!

Senyuu is a comedy, a very weird one. The first season has 13 episodes, each episode having only around 4 minutes. The characters are fun, if bizarre drama queens, and the whole thing is a parody of fantasy and RPG stories. I honestly don’t know how to explain the relationship between the protagonist and his Soldier Friend tho, cause on one hand the protagonist is only alive because of his friend but on the other hand I remenber this same friend buying a knife just to stab him, plus half the time the protagonist end up regreting his life choices in a prison cause everyone he know is a basta-

Okay, forget Senyuu!!

Go watch Magi:The Labyrinth of Magic! That’s a good fantasy anime to recomend. You got magic and dangeons and drama-queens! Good stuff, good stuff! First season have 25 episodes, is a blast, trust me you will love it!!

Just a random story I had in my head

Magi:the labyrinth of magic: modern au!

Pairings: Hakuyuu x oc, Kouen x Muu, Hakuryuu x oc.

As Muu entered the Ren family's living room, he was greeted by the sight of his lover comfortably siting on the large couch that faced the television. The members of this large family were all gathered together, crammed as half of the room was set up as a photo stand. Mu smiled and went to greet Kouen with a kiss when Kouha jumped from where he was doing Hakuren's make up.

"No! Nope! No kissing brother En! I just did his make up. I don't want to do it again because of you!" He said while waving his hands around. "So back off, hold your kissing til after the show and go stand over there with Eliana and Mizuki." He pointed to the far left corner of the room where the two women sat and were calmly speaking.

They both smiled and greeted Muu as he came to sit with them.

"Welcome to the corner of the rejected lover/girlfriend/fiancée." Eliana said jokingly. She grinned at him and asked " so who sent you here? Mizu got send here by En for messing with Ryuu's hair and I was betrayed by my future husband." The last part was completed with a little dramatic pose for better effect.

"Kouha had the honor of telling me to come and enjoy your company." Eliana laughed.

"Ah, did you try to mess with someone's make up? He is quite protective of his art." Muu chuckled.

Suddenly an exclamation was heard from near the set up. It seemed as though the technical problems from earlier were solved.

The fashion show could begin!

Perhaps a little explanation is required?

Kougyoku had recently decided to enter a fashion contest in which the competitors had to create their own designs and had to have their family model for them. Said family could include any person with a blood relation to the competitor or any person linked by law ( such as in-laws or step-siblings). Neither Mizuki nor Muu qualified for those conditions while Eliana would officially be family in a few months time.

During the next hours, the whole gang passed in front of the camera. At the end of the shooting, when all the necessary pictures were taken, the large family had decided to just have fun and take some private pictures just for themselves.

The photos that Kougyoku found the best were send to the contest.

And now all there was to do was to wait for the results that would be announced in three weeks.

The wait for the results was unbearable for Kougyoku. All she wanted to know was if she won. The winner would have the honor of working with the renowned designer, Myers on her next collection.

When the letter finally arrived, the contestant was suddenly really nervous.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Open it." She looked up from the letter in her hands and smiled when she saw her whole family be in supportive. She took a deep breath before opening the envelope.

"Dear Miss Ren Kougyoku,

We, members of the jury, would first like to thank you for your participation and all the efforts you put into our contest.

As it has been announced, the participants who have landed in the top 10 will be offered an internship at the Magnoshtatt designing school, additionally the winner will also have the opportunity to work with fashion designer, Myers on her autumn - winter collection.

Only the top 10 will be publicly revealed. If you are not part of it, you may find your ranking on our website.

"OMG!! I'm so happy for you, Gyoku!" Kouha jumped on her and hugged really tight. She couldn't believe it: she won and Miss Myers loved her outfits.

After recovering from the news, she squealed and hugged her youngest brother back jumping around the living room. Her family congratulated her. They were all happy for her, she had definitely earned it after all the work she put into the contest.

"It looks like your hair skills aren't going to be a secret anymore, En." Hakuren said.

"True. Myers will probably want to know who did the hair styles. You should be proud of yourself too, Kouha. Your make up was also complimented." Hakuyuu added as he watched the scene with a gentle smile, holding Eliana around her waist.

"It was never a secret to begin with." Kouen replied "it's not my fault if people assume that just because I am a businessman, I can't do braids or other hairstyles."
