“Fortunately, this pig hasn’t been someone I’ve run into. I have no doubt, my dear brother probably had problems with this one, considering the fact my brother’s old job had him traveling around Japan pretty frequently. I however, don’t really frequent the Kanazawa city area. I know I’ve made it obvious I have little to no respect for the law, much less some little mindless servant like Sasaki. I have no doubt either that he isn’t necessarily a bad person outside of his job. In fact, I could praise him as far as to say he isn’t as awful as the officer from Yokohama. But that’s about all I can really say about this stranger…”

Kyler Aaron

“FBI… What is a man like him doing…? Oh, I suppose that ambassador from America is someone of interest to him. They most definitely have a connection, but I can’t imagine that young man needed help from an agent to do his job. Whatever the case, I could care less for this Aaron man. I’d argue he’s wasting his time being in Japan, but American politics is nowhere near my specialty. I can only hope that him being in this team doesn’t forebode something awful for the two countries…”

Joey Kurusu

“I suppose out of this team this is someone who I could give some leeway to. Probably a result of Edogawa-kun softening me towards detectives… Although a homicide detective is most definitely something closer to what a person probably expects when hearing the word ‘detective’. That being said, Kurusu-san is probably the most respectable of the team. For a man to be determined in solving a homicide is certainly more respectable than the officer… And with some deliberation, possibly the FBI agent vacationing in Japan under the guise of a bodyguard as well.”

“This has to be one of, if not the most disgusting team that I’ve had to lay my eyes upon. How tasteless for a team like this to be allowed into the competition? But I suppose that a balance must be made to contrast against the vast line of criminals and delinquents lurking among the cast. Ryuko included, of course. Hm, now isn’t that a question to ponder? Between the unlawful and lawful teams, who would I prefer the company of? A mystery indeed…”

Summer Time Machine Blues (サマー タイム マシン ブルース)

Summary: On a hot summer day, a group of university students accidentally break the remote control to the aircon unit in their hangout. After finding a time machine, they decide to go back in time and bring the remote - before it breaks - to the present day.

A breezy, sweet sci-fi comedy that successfully navigates usual time-travel pitfalls and has a cast of fully believable characters.
