Do you ever think about how almost all of N’s Pokémon throughout the first games were one offs he released after he battled you, how he cared about them all deeply enough that he thought it would be selfish to have them battle more than necessary. And do you ever think about how this is the case with all his Pokémon EXCEPT his Klinklang in the final battle at the league, where the second to last battle he had a Klink and this Klinklang is very likely that same Pokémon? Do you think this was a visual representation of his mindset wavering from a fixed point? How that Klink refused to leave him right away and he couldn’t bring himself to force them to leave because his mind is in so many different directions? He can keep them around just a little longer until he becomes champion, it won’t be long, he can bend things some so long as he doesn’t fully stray from his path…right?

Or is that just me am I the only one willing to be insane about Klinklang of all Pokémon

#Klinklang and Hydregion being parallels for N and Ghetsis is very funny in concept but in execution makes me insane /pos #like it’s such a subtle thing and I never connected it before until now and idk how #honestly I do wish it was a friendship evo to really hammer that subtle theme down #but the klink line is very neat and cool so I won’t complain #pokemon #n harmonia #bc rambles

There’s that post that’s like ‘everyone should get into a tiny niche fandom at least once’ fully agree, that was really fun -- but I would like to add that everyone should get into a fandom where their opinions run counter to major fanon because it really teaches you about sticking to your guns and trusting your interpretation of the text without having to rely on peer validation

because WHAT are people talking about sometimes

#aka: genuinely sometimes I think I live in a parallel universe and simply watched/read different things #full disclosure it does make you feel like a killjoy sometimes #because often times these fanons will be presented in a silly jokey manner #'oh so silly isn't this character so funny this is just my silly little headcanon'#and it's like yes yes lol lol but ok look me in the eyes and tell me you know that this is #at best only one interpretation of many and at worst simply not supported by the text at all #please tell me you know that #or in one specific example such a ubiquitous joke that is literally a significant theme of the work and i feel like SUCH a killjoy #being like 'ok yes very funny.....you know that was a major theme right?? tell me you know that'

it's funny whenever i post dinluke i always get comments along the lines of "why do people ship these two they only met once" and its like bestie. babygirl. ok first off it's about the Themes™/dynamics/potential, not how many times they've met in "canon" and 2. when i was a teenager the biggest ship in my favourite fandom was two guys who'd never even interacted and you think its weird people ship two guys that acually met?? in real life canon?? they literally made eye contact, that's like the fanon-shipping equivalent of third base

#dinluke do make me go insane and u need a certain level of ignoring the mandalorian season 3 and also tbobf to Get it #the really short version is it's “parent dates child's teacher trope” and “they both have the same reuniting-their-massacred-people thing”#also it's comedic to ship the guy who's constantly avoiding the plot and clueless abt sw with the force's specialest star #talk is cheap #the two guys in the other fandom had arguably been in the same city one time and one was the other's legally-dead-brother's former coworker #and that was it. the rest of it was just Pure Vibes and Themes #im not saying what fandom it's just gotta be a 'what were YOU doing at the devils sacrement' situation #dinluke
