379. I just want to talk about how Malec began. Alec was so overwhelmed with kissing Magnus in front of everyone and Magnus stated how they could slow down. and I don’t believe or count their timeline but within months, alec kept professing his love for Magnus in so many ways. Magnus did fall hard first but Alec fell harder

I really love this parallel because you see alec thinking he can’t have both, there’s no way he could have both, and he realizes that he doesn’t think he can live without Magnus because Magnus is his everything

387. also Magnus knows in this moment that he doesn’t think he can live without Alec either. they both know from their fights, to possibly losing each other, that they both want and need one another in their lives

388. same parallel but in black and white but key word: life. season one Alec was so worried about family honor and present Alec cares about having Magnus in his life more than what anyone thinks or feels. Magnus is it for him

As both a Shadowhunters and RWRB fan, please, I need more paralles!!!

Apart from the fact that they were both unhappy & depressed till the Love of their Lives walked into their lives, they also are the more dominant ones in bed.. and both Alex and Magnus find their Authoritative side a major Turn On! They are the same person in different Universes.

I'm writing a marauders jegulus fic, as one does, listening to music, when War Of Hearts by Ruelle starts playing. The moment I hear the first notes I think of Shadow Hunters and my heart both aches and fills with happiness, because malec, of course.

And as I'm listening to the lyrics and thinking of the series I realize how many parallels there are between the marauders and Shadow Hunters. IT'S INSANE!

In both worlds we have a purist cult that starts a war.

Alec is both Sirius and Regulus coded in different ways (he's the oldest, the heir, all the expectations are on him, he wants to protect his siblings, manages to stand up to his parents, taking on the biggest burdens).

Both have an opinioneted, hot-headed, ginger girl, who doesn't fit in (Lily being muggle born and Clary being raised as a mundane).

Systemic racism (towards the downworlders and towards muggle borns, house elves, werewolves, etc).

Those are the ones from the top of my head, but I'm sure there are more. If you are in both fandoms, please give your takes too!
