She was too hot, she could feel ever piece of clothing sticking to her skin. It was just one more song she could get through it but the lights where so bright and the screams from fans are getting too loud.

One of them members where noticing how Wheein kept frantically looking around, as if she’s searching for a way out.

As the last song started Yongsun glanced over to Wheein and gave her a reassuring smile but Wheein just looked through her.

The show was finally over, Wheein was just trying to breathe normally again but she could feel everything all at once and felt like she was going to explode.

“Guys, that was a great show well done everyone. Have a nice night!” One of the backup dancers exclaimed and that’s all it took.

Wheein held her head in her hands while hysterically crying. Her comfort items were all the way back at the dorms, Wheein was at the beginning of a meltdown… and Yongsun knew all too well.

Wheein had heard the gasps from the people around her and it was too loud. Everything was too loud. It felt like the walls were closing in on her.

“Hi baby.” Yongsun whispered quietly, barely audible to anyone.

Everything suddenly stopped and all Wheein could hear was her mamas voice, she definitely prefers it this way. 

She looks up at her with a red, tear stained face. 

Yongsun holds her hands out, to make sure Wheein is okay with her touching her.

Wheein places her hands down into Yongsun’s. “Wheein, lets go get ready, yeah?” she looks back down and slowly nods.

The brunette tries to help Wheein stand up. but, her legs started shaking and she almost fell over. Yongsun felt her heart break at the sight.

“You need me to carry you?” and all Wheein could do was just nod. She felt ashamed and embarrassed everyone had to deal with this. even if it rarely happened— it was always really bad when it did happen.

Yongsun picked her up and noticed she was still shaking violently, and her breathing was still at a fast pace. Yongsun brings her voice down to a whisper. “It’s okay honey, just try and relax,” Wheein melts and stops being as tense as she was before. Normally, during a meltdown, she would rather die than hear anything remotely loud. Since it’s Yongsun’s voice… she doesn’t mind.

The two finally make their way to their dressing room and Yongsun sets down the other onto the couch slowly. She brings her hands up to Wheein’s face and brushes a strand of her hair behind her ear.

“Do you need anything, Wheein?”

Wheein pointed at Yongsun. 

She smiled softly, “I’ll always be here.”

twenty two / sleeping hours? lel okay let’s see if i can pinpoint a decent schedule. during my work terms/co-op terms, i sleep at around 9pm to 10pm and wake up at 5:30am. during school terms, i’ll be lucky if i go to sleep at 12am, but generally its either 1am or 2am, and then i wake up at 6:30am.

twenty four / play any instruments? i played the trumpet in middle school but i never picked it up, or any inst up, after.

twenty six / how many blankets do you sleep with? one! i think the better question would be how do i sleep and that would be always on my right side, one blanket, two pillows (one under my head and one on my side) and the ac on full blast.

twenty seven / dream job? uhm. idk how to tell you this, but it’s water treatment! i guess i want to work with organizations that help get clean drinking water to third-world countries, maybe develop cheap water filters for well water as well?

twenty eight / dream trip? i’d like to take a tour of europe and asia? go to new york, paris, london, venice, greece, bangladesh, india, australia and nz, japan and korea!

Wheein tried her best to stop her hands from shaking, curled up in her room with her hands over her ears to try to block out the echoes of obnoxious voices in her head. The sound of footsteps running in her direction had her jolting and looking at her door, which opened and then closed. Hyejin was already in motion, her voice soothing as she rifled through her closet for something. “Shh, you’re okay now, honey. You’re okay. Byul look care of it, alright?”

Wheein didn’t answer, whining and curling into herself further. The other girl dropped into a crouch in front of her, holding a box. “Take your pick, sweetheart.”

It took her a few moments before she picked up a white pacifier and a stuffed teddy.

“Good choices, chickpea! You know how old you are?” 

She shook her head, opening her mouth to allow her ‘unnie’ put the pacifier into her mouth.

“Cmere, honey,” Hyejin murmured, opening her arms for Wheein to fall into. The little sobbed, clinging to Hyejin as she rubbed circles on her back and shushed her, murmuring assurances.

Why was she the one who always messed up?

“Hey, hey, we aren’t gonna hit ourselves, sweetheart,” Hyejin murmured, holding Wheein’s wrists still. “You didn’t do anything wrong, okay? You were so brave, honey! Even braver than me!”

She shook her head, whining. “No? Why not?” Hyejin asked.

She tried to speak but found the words wouldn’t come. That only made her more upset and Hyejin was quick to rub circles on the insides of Wheein’s wrists with her thumbs. “That’s okay, honey. You’re gonna be just fine. Just breathe for me, okay? In…good job, sweetheart. Out…can you do that again? In…out.”

The eldest guided her through breathing for a while until she calmed down. Byul stuck her head through the door and made sure they were both okay, smiling at Hyejin.

Hyejin noticed Byul and got an idea; “Hey, baby wanna watch Looney Tunes while Byulie gets you something to eat? You want some fruit or some cereal.”

Wheein nodded, and Byul went back out the room and started getting the snacks ready while Hyejin got her laptop. The show loaded without error and the two hummed along to the theme of the show, Byul came back just in time and helped Hyejin get her baby to eat a little.
