Y’all, I just wanna talk about Manny Humlie from We Three for a second. This man is so underrated it should be illegal.

His lyrics hit deep. These are songs about the realities of mental illness. About suicide and self-harm. About the process of and how it felt for him and his siblings to lose their mother to cancer. About insecurities and self-loathing. About body image and eating disorders. About not feeling good enough in your own skin, not feeling pretty. About infidelity and relationships that are falling apart. About jealousy. While it can get grim, there’s alot of hope and falling in love in there too. Even if things suck, you aren’t alone. There’s still some beauty in staying alive.

His voice and the power in it. It’s got so much raw emotion. It’s a vehicle for his lyrics, soaring and softening at just the right times. The overall quality of his voice is quite therapeutic and relaxing yet so so honest.

Not to mention, he’s so pretty I could straight up perish.
