just thinking about reader with a sun-based quirk (as in solar power) dragging denki to the beach during the hottest week of the year just to tan. of course, for them, it's not just tanning— it's charging up their body with energy, much like how denki charges himself with electricity— but to him, he's happy to sit under an umbrella next to you and tell you when you should flip over.
of course, when you first arrive and need to put on sunscreen, he doesn't even let you do it.
"lay down, baby," he tells you. "i've gotcha."
hearing him squeeze way too much liquid onto his hands and feeling the contrast between the cold liquid and his warm skin as his hands rub it into your back, over your shoulders, around your neck, and a little too low.
he uses it as an excuse to slip his fingers under the waistband of your bikini (despite the cut already being cheeky (his suggestion)), supposedly "just wanting to make sure his baby is protected".
but his favorite part is when you two get home and you're full of energy, completely recharged, and you just look so pretty with those defined lines on your chest and hips, your tanned skin contrasting his so perfectly as you ride him.

Who's In A Playoff Spot?
as of January 8th, 2023
We're rounding the corner into the actual halfway point of the season right now -- three teams (Capitals, Golden Knights, Kings) have actually crossed over and played more than 41 games, while most other teams are hovering just under 40. By the next week, most teams will have crossed that point. All of them, probably. I'm not looking at schedules, it's one in the morning. Anyway, if the playoffs started today, these would be the first round series:
Eastern conference:
Bruins-Islanders (1-WC2) *
Leafs-Lightning (2-3) *
Hurricanes-Capitals (1-WC1)
Devils-Rangers (2-3)
Western conference:
Stars-Flames (1-WC1)
Jets-Wild (2-3) *
Golden Knights-Oilers (1-WC2) *
Kings-Kraken (2-3)
A star * indicates matches that have not changed since last week.
Additional notes:
Oof, Penguins. Slipping and slipping hard -- they're not far out of the race, but they've lost six in a row, which is never a good sign. They haven't missed the playoffs since Evgeni Malkin surfaced on this side of the Atlantic, but if they keep this up... well. Also, the Sabres seem to be outscoring their problems (by a lot) at the moment, which is going to pose a very interesting issue to the East come playoff time. They're a longshot, but not out of the race yet.
Meanwhile in the West, the Kraken decided to stop "slumping," as I said they had last week. It's the Avs' turn to slip. Poor Sasha Georgiev has had to start eleven games in a row, Mikko Rantanen has been basically the only point of offence, and they're, like the Penguins, two points out of the playoffs. The injury bug is horrible and I pray you never get it.
The Bruins hold a twenty-point lead over the Islanders, the second wild card team in the Eastern conference. If this lead stays steady they'll clinch approximately Saturday, March 25.
